Ooooh I think I would have to go with Reese just because his whole storyline with Benton was so sweet especially with him being deaf and how that developed. I honestly don’t think we see that much of Tess and Kate so it’s a pretty easy choice there tbh

Their daughters’ high-pitched squeals echo off the other houses on their street. Bundled up in matching raincoats and welly boots, Tess and Kate were enthralled in the magic of a rainstorm and the puddles it created. At two years old, the world was still so new, and everything was awe-inspiring for them.

“Oh, to be a kid again when a simple puddle brought hours of entertainment,” Doug muses as he joins her on the driveway where she’s been keeping watch of the twins.  

She chuckles at that, flinching as a raindrop hits her directly in the eye. “Keep your voice down. Maybe they won’t notice us and can stay entertained a little while longer.” It was the first day all month it was nice enough to go outside, and cabin fever was starting to get to them all. 

He unfurls a large umbrella, the click of it locking it into place draws the girls’ attention for just a split second, and steps closer to her until the fabric covers them both. She tucks herself into his side, a move so common, so practiced between them that Doug lifting his arm and resting it around her back with his hand on her hip doesn’t stop their conversation. 

“Can we order in for dinner? I don’t feel like cooking,” she asks.

“Sounds good to me,” he replies. 

They stay outside, watching their daughter’s playing in an imaginary world of fairies and frogs and a white queen who needs saving, listening to the patter of raindrops on the umbrella. 

“Daddy! Watch!” Mommy! Look at me!”

“I’m watching, honey!” they say in unison, quickly looking at each other and laughing. 

It’s makes her heart soar. She’s finally here: happy, warm, and safe with her family. It’s something she never dreamed she’d ever get.

I’m not British, nor a royal family fan, but I must say my piece.

My mother had a tumor, a few years ago. It was benign, but we did not find out until months after the diagnosis. Those were dark, ugly times for my family and I. If my mother’s colleagues or acquaintances treated her the way you treated Kate, I would have not spared any kind words for them. So I am doing the same here.

The way you all speculated, mocked, derided, made a meme out of this and wished all the worse things to Kate Middleton simply because she disappeared from the public eye for a while, something Windsor and the royal staff had already stated, is astonishingly embarrassing.

The media team repeated multiple times that she would go back to her duties after Easter, and needed to rest, but instead of respecting this you made fun of her and made her into a joke. And maybe the monarchy in this day and age is nothing more than a joke, who knows. But those people are real. They are humans as much as you and me.

To those who bullied Kate Middleton into making a message to talk about something so delicate as cancer, something she did not want to do to protect her children: you disgust me. I hope you had your fun, because now you are covered in shame. An embarrassment.

A woman might be a princess, the future queen, but she is still a mother and a human. And facing cancer, we are all the same. Some are luckier, some aren’t. Some have access to treatment, some don’t. But cancer is still cancer, and if anything it makes her just like anyone else. Human. Not an unreachable queen or myth.

I hope now you will realize your cruelty in the past days and weeks. You might not like her, but she is not undeserving of respect. Out of all the royals, not her. And if your blind hate can’t possibly get past this, it’s your problem, and your lack of empathy.

My condolences to the princess of Wales and her family.

Something I haven't seen talked about a lot in CRP or Slenderverse spaces was the prevalence of fire in relation to the Slenderman (who, for brevity sake, will be referred to as the Operator in this post)..

What really made it click in my head was finally playing the extra level, Nightmare, in Slender: The Arrival (and also my gorgeous @pechadream pointing out the specifics to me ehe..)

Under cut will be a sort of analysis moreso long winded talk on fire in the story of Marble Hornets, JTK, STA, and Toby's...

It is to be noted that Joseph, Troy, and Tim S. all worked on STA -- not sure to what extent, but they are credited. This is important as there are two instances in MH wherein a fire happened. Linking that with the whole "Cleanse with fire" message that STA was going for, it could explain why people like Alex, CR, Toby, or perhaps Tim W. chose the option of burning in an attempt to kill/cover up tracks instead of anything easier.

Talks of purification are laden in this level of STA which reminds me of the biblical motifs of Marble Hornets. The major cleanses with fire in the Bible (Sodom and Gomorrah, Revelations) all refer to God using fire to cleanse a place of its sinners. Alex himself is often seen with stigmata's and imagery of Christ, of a savior; therefore he sees himself doing a favor by not merely attempting to kill Tim (at first at least lol), the root of it all, by typical means, but to purify him in a sense by letting him die by flame. (CR's plan is similar -- basically the same -- to Alex's so I won't talk about him and Kate ;()

Now it's not really confirmed how Tim's psychiatric institute burnt down, but I think it started in his hospital room? Either way, I think it's an interesting link if it was kid Tim who started it: trying to cleanse himself and everyone he affected, but in turn not doing anything useful.

Creepypasta-wise I think it is extra interesting as we never got a reason as to why Toby would choose to light his entire neighborhood on fire. @pechadream pointed it out that the Operator's influence could play into why Toby would do that.. Whether it be as a last ditch effort to cover up his tracks or deluded empathy trying to free everyone (especially his mother) from the Operator's influence.

Now Jeff (talking about Woods here) is a bit more.. farfetched. This is also if he was in the same universe as the Operator. Story goes that he gets set on fire and he comes out fucked up, why the bullies burnt him? Could be related to the Operator could not be. ANYWAYS. Purifying in the Bible is not only limited to fires, of course. I'd like to think of Woods's burning as a sort of baptism for him.. He was born anew and all that and come to think of it this could refer to Toby too

I think what m trying to say is that cleansing with fire should be explored more when talking about slender.. okay thanks
