Something I haven't seen talked about a lot in CRP or Slenderverse spaces was the prevalence of fire in relation to the Slenderman (who, for brevity sake, will be referred to as the Operator in this post)..

What really made it click in my head was finally playing the extra level, Nightmare, in Slender: The Arrival (and also my gorgeous @pechadream pointing out the specifics to me ehe..)

Under cut will be a sort of analysis moreso long winded talk on fire in the story of Marble Hornets, JTK, STA, and Toby's...

It is to be noted that Joseph, Troy, and Tim S. all worked on STA -- not sure to what extent, but they are credited. This is important as there are two instances in MH wherein a fire happened. Linking that with the whole "Cleanse with fire" message that STA was going for, it could explain why people like Alex, CR, Toby, or perhaps Tim W. chose the option of burning in an attempt to kill/cover up tracks instead of anything easier.

Talks of purification are laden in this level of STA which reminds me of the biblical motifs of Marble Hornets. The major cleanses with fire in the Bible (Sodom and Gomorrah, Revelations) all refer to God using fire to cleanse a place of its sinners. Alex himself is often seen with stigmata's and imagery of Christ, of a savior; therefore he sees himself doing a favor by not merely attempting to kill Tim (at first at least lol), the root of it all, by typical means, but to purify him in a sense by letting him die by flame. (CR's plan is similar -- basically the same -- to Alex's so I won't talk about him and Kate ;()

Now it's not really confirmed how Tim's psychiatric institute burnt down, but I think it started in his hospital room? Either way, I think it's an interesting link if it was kid Tim who started it: trying to cleanse himself and everyone he affected, but in turn not doing anything useful.

Creepypasta-wise I think it is extra interesting as we never got a reason as to why Toby would choose to light his entire neighborhood on fire. @pechadream pointed it out that the Operator's influence could play into why Toby would do that.. Whether it be as a last ditch effort to cover up his tracks or deluded empathy trying to free everyone (especially his mother) from the Operator's influence.

Now Jeff (talking about Woods here) is a bit more.. farfetched. This is also if he was in the same universe as the Operator. Story goes that he gets set on fire and he comes out fucked up, why the bullies burnt him? Could be related to the Operator could not be. ANYWAYS. Purifying in the Bible is not only limited to fires, of course. I'd like to think of Woods's burning as a sort of baptism for him.. He was born anew and all that and come to think of it this could refer to Toby too

I think what m trying to say is that cleansing with fire should be explored more when talking about slender.. okay thanks

"Oh really? I actually hate my laugh." You said while blushing about it.

"Yes, you should laugh more often, it makes your eyes light up. It's beautiful." He was flirting with you and you fell for it. You even convinced him to dance with you and made sure you got his number to see him more often.

Norman Reedus:

You met him at a gas station, you were driving a motorcycle and he was impressed by you.

"Is that yours?" he asked while checking out your motorcycle.

"Yes it is, you like it?" You said full confident as you saw he was riding a motorcycle himself.

You met him during an award show. You both won and met each other afterwards.

The wedding misadventures of Rick Jones and Marlo Chandler

As the wedding is about to begin, Hulk and Captain America are helping a very nervous Rick Jones into his tuxedo. While in another room, Marlo is being helped into her dress by Betty Ross and some other women. As she looks into the mirror, Marlo is frightened by the brief appearance of Mephisto reflected back at her. Before the ceremony, there were some surprising appearances such as Northstar who happens to be dating Hector (Hulk's friend from the Pantheon) as well as Rahne Sinclair, Guido Carosella and the unmasked version of ROM Space Knight.

As the wedding ceremony begins, the priest who looks like Peter David reads the book to the bride and groom when they are interrupted by the arrival of Drax the Destroyer. Everyone is surprised when Drax presents an invitation, even though he wasn't mailed one. Nonetheless, they have Drax sit next to Adam Warlock. Next, the wedding is interrupted by the supervillains - Wizard, Absorbing Man, Mister Hyde and the Living Laser. However, they have not come not as wedding crashers, but as attendees, as they too have invitations. In reality, the invitations got mixed up so they were given to the wrong people. The Hulk is about to start a fight with them anyway, however, Doc Samson convinces him to stand down. Rick Jones then agrees to allow the villains to stay for the ceremony. Things get even worse when Kree and Skrull ships arrive with more attendees. The special occasion does little to soften the relations between the two races. When one of the Kree tries to start a fight with Talos the Tamed, the Silver Surfer steps in to prevent the situation from escalating further.

Just before the ceremony is over, it is interrupted by a final surprise guest, Mephisto, who has come to claim Marlo's soul. However, he faces opposition from both the Silver Surfer and the Hulk. The Hulk resolves to handle the situation himself, and seeing a bright light in the sky, he admits his belief in the possibility of a higher power. This apparently gives the Hulk the strength to beat Mephisto back, forcing him into retreat. However, Mephisto gloats how this "defeat" is part of a much larger scheme to damn the Hulk. The wedding is quickly completed and Rick and Marlo are made man and wife. During the reception, Marlo is congratulated by the various guests including the surprising appearance of Death of the Endless, who has come to give Marlo a gift. Once Marlo accepts it, Death quickly leaves. Marlo isn't sure who the woman was, but she and Rick open the box and find a beautiful hairbrush inside.

Kate's House | Slender: The Arrival (2015 version)

These are some details that were missing from the 10th anniversary remake of the game..! I'd say I definitely prefer how the older version of STA looks.. the graphics are just very charming so to say and there are a lot of little details scattered throughout also!

It's most likely CR's car that we see in the path to the Hayes's household and in the 10th anni version instead of a gas canister, there's a tire on the back. I like this little detail of the gas canister seeing as CR, before driving to Kate, burned down his house to escape and was also intending to kill both him and Kate by fire. It's just a nice detail that I'm sad was removed...

The second picture is of a backpack placed by the stairs near the front door. I'd like to think that it's Kate's bag, packed with all the things CR told her to bring, just sitting by the door waiting for her escape (though she never was able to reach the door..)

Lastly.. a silly picture because I thought it was funny that Kate had a whole pot of stew in her sink. Though I guess this could point to her losing her appetite (and further sanity) from Slender's influence.......

He is currently 27.

CR is actually his proxy name which is short for Carl Ross. Only Slenderman, Kate, Lauren, and Masky are the only ones who can call him by his legal name.

He and Kate were very close during childhood and they would bond over their obsession with the paranormal.

They would go ghost hunting in the woods all the time and would have fun spooking each other.

Like Kate, he would suffer hallucinations of "The Operator" and would attempt to kill himself many times to escape from him.

Despite their complicated history, he and Kate are close to each other now and he often hangs out with her outside of missions.

His face is similar to Two-Face's due to him burning himself alive while trying to escape from the Operator. He's very insecure about it and he never takes off his mask in front of anyone other than Kate, Charlie and Lauren.

He was abused by his parents as a child and he would often stay at Kate's house a lot whenever he was too scared to go back home which Kate's parents didn't mind.

During high school, he used to have a part-time job at a supermarket so he can save up to buy a car and escape from his abusive home.

Carl has autism and his special interest is photography.

At 16 years old, Carl was kicked out of his home after he revealed he was pansexual to his parents and was dating Lauren, a transwoman.

He is a huge fan of the band Queen and knows all of Freddie Mercury's vocal runs by heart.

He is skilled in first aid and emergency medical care, and is the one of the medics of the Slender Pact.

He is a self-taught survivalist, having learned all he knows about wilderness survival from watching how-to videos on the internet.

He is fiercely loyal to the people he cares about and will go to extreme lengths to protect them.

His favorite movie is "The Iron Giant" and his favorite character is Dean since he reminds him of himself.

He has a habit of talking to himself as a way of mentally processing stressful situations.

He is actually a really good cook when he tries, but he usually doesn't care enough to make anything other than easy foods.

He can speak in six languages: English, French, Greek, Spanish, Italian, and Russian.

While he is typically a fairly serious person, he does enjoy the occasional joke from time to time.

Lulling Lauren

She is currently 27 years old.

She was actually born as a male and her name prior to her transition was Diego Evans.

She was a quiet and introverted child, even before her proxification.

Her home life was unhappy, and no one ever gave Lauren much attention.

She met her best friend Kate at school, where they bonded over being outcasts amongst their peers.

She and Kate would often play on the swing set at her house, growing up.

She and Kate met CR in their freshman year of high school where Lauren immediately feel in love with him.

Unlike Kate and CR, Lauren never really believed in the paranormal.

She started to transition when she was 16 and her parents were against it due to their religious beliefs. She would later end up living with her aunt and uncle as a result.

She has a pet raven named Echo who often brings her and CR shiny trinkets from trespassers.

Her first exposure to "The Operator" was when she went to her best friend, Kate's house to help her move out.

After that, she became interested in the supernatural right up until her untimely death.

She has very little memory of her death and when she woke up, the first thing she did was look for Kate again.

When she's stressed out, she makes little origami birds out of whatever scrap paper she finds lying around. She gives them away to her friends when she comes back to the manor.

She's an early riser, especially if there's work to be done. She's a serious woman, but sometimes she finds the time to watch the sunrise.

Lauren is not really scared of anything. She is extremely chill and laid-back.

She got her proxy nickname from her soft voice that she uses to lure her victims into a false sense of security before killing them.

In short, this fan art was done first on fan fiction, then on the book "A Family Story about Fathers, and Children, and Strangers" by Nolan Ross. I think everyone who cooks in "The Walking Dead" and pairing Cagan knows this author for sure.

When the book was printed, it was redone and completed into the original story with different names and so on.

The author deserves it. Her work just gave me what I've been looking for for so long. Especially after losing the person closest to me. Here. I don't know what else to write. Oh yes, I don't know why this is one of the moments that I remember so much and for some reason I wanted to portray it. It was probably their first and calm meeting after all that had happened. I remember feeling a certain calmness when they sat next to each other like that. I was also worried that Carl was finally able to read the newspaper. I won't spoil it.

upd. while I was painting, I listened to Shinedown and now this band is terribly associated with Carl and Negan. Super similar vibe. Help.

Книга при печати была переделана и доделана в оригинальную историю с другими именами и прочим. Автор этого заслуживает. Её работа просто дала мне то что так долго искала. Особенно после потери самого близкого для меня человека. Вот. Не знаю что еще написать. Ах да, не знаю почему это один из моментов который мне так запомнился и почему-то его захотелось изобразить. Наверное это была их первая и спокойная встреча после всего случившегося. Помню что испытала некое спокойствие, когда они так сели рядом. И так же тревогу из-за того что Карл наконец-то смог прочитать газету. Спойлерить не буду.

upd. пока рисовала, слушала Shinedown и теперь эта группа жутка ассоциируется с Карлом и Ниганом. Супер схожий вайб. Помогите.
