Hey Mike,
Apologies if this was covered in another post, but I wanted to know:
Is the absence of a Flanaverse actor/actress in any given Intrepid project something that’s the result of schedules/availability, the types of roles you write / who you feel should play them, or some mix of those 2 factors?
Super curious to get some insight on that part of the process :)
(It’d be wonderful to see Keith Arthur Bolden, Elizabeth Reaser, Anthony Ruivivar, Victoria Pedretti, Levy Tran, etc. again someday!)
It can be any number of things. Often yes, there are schedule issues. For example, I'm dying to work with Hamish Linklater again but he wasn't available for USHER because he was directing a movie - I'm sure I'll work with Rebecca Ferguson again, I'll definitely work with Ewan McGregor again, or Karen Gillan again, or Katee Sackhoff - schedules don't always align.
And then sometimes, I've just got way more actors I want to work with than I have parts available. That is happening more and more. The list of actors grows all the time, but we will never have a project that has enough lead characters to go around (USHER came the closest, and even that had to leave some people out who I really wanted to include.)
And then there's just the intangible thing of whether or not an actor is right for the part, and sometimes I have to be honest and look at an actor I dearly love and admit I don't have a part for them this time. I try to make a note to prioritize them on the next thing.
And finally, some relationships do just run their course. There are times when an actor and I don't come out of project with a burning desire to work together again, and that's fine too. It's all just people and chemistry and intangibles at the end of the day, and relationships can change.
Basically, I wouldn't read anything into anyone's absence - there's any number of a million reasons why people may or may not be in any given project.

Κριτική Ταινίας : Bandit (Ληστής με Στυλ) του Allan Ungar #review
Με τους Josh Duhamel, Elisha Cuthbert, Mel Gibson, Nestor Carbonell, Swen Temmel, Olivia d'Abo, Keith Arthur Bolden

The truth is out there in surprisingly procedural threequel The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021) #Review
Having come to THE CONJURING universe quite late, and taken a rather haphazard approach to watching them (I think ANNABELLE COMES HOME might have been my very first), it’s taken me a while to realise that I seem to enjoy the movies which remind me of something else more than the others. I enjoyed THE NUN’s twisted take on SCOOBY-DOO, for example, and THE CONJURING 2 gave me strong SAPPHIRE &…

MILE 22 (2018)
Grade: C
Average, what you kinda expect from a Marky Mark action film. The plot got a little silly, even for a Peter Berg film. It got confusing.

Goosebumps (2015)
MoM’s 2017 October Movie List: October 1st
I liked this, but at the same time I was disappointed by it. This is one of those movies I’ve seen before that I’ve just never reviewed. It’s about a boy moving in next door to R.L. Stine and his daughter, both of whom are super secretive. The boy thinks the daughter is being locked up against her will, and in the process of trying to help her, managers to open up R.L. Stines collection of books... And the monsters all jump out, with Slappy the dummy as their leader. I’ve seen the first 2 seasons of Goosebumps, and read a lot of the books, so I caught a handful of references, but that also means I had higher expectations. Goosebumps was a spooky show with spooky endings that weren’t always resolved in a great way. The movie had a too happy ending. And the special effects should have been darker and creepier. It was all super CGI and light hearted. The new Ghostbusters movie had special effects that Goosebumps should have had. Spooky and ominous. Also, and most importantly, the Goosebumps song did not appear. Where’s the FUCKING THEME SONG?
Rating: B. It could have been better and more true to form, but R.L. Stine had to have approved this since he appeared in it, so whatever. I liked his Fear Street series better, anyway.

Books turned into movies
Ever read a book and wonder what the movie is like? Here are some of the best books that were turned into movies. Keep in mind the book is always better than the movie.
Fear Street
The 3 movies loosely based on Fear Street came out in July off 2021 on Netflix. The Fear family curse was the main focus of the movie. Fear Street is a series of books written by R.L. Stine. Set in a fictionalized town of Shadyside and features average teenagers who encounter murderers or ghosts the first book was released in 1989 called the new girl. The series is named after the Fear family. Their name was originally spelled Fier; after hearing that the family was cursed and the letters could be rearranged to spell "fire", Simon Fier changed his name to Fear in the 19th century. Despite the family changing the spelling of their name and the renaming, the curse has survived, and Simon and his wife, Angelica, brought it with them when they moved to Shadyside sometime after the Civil War. The curse originally started in Puritan (17th-century) times when Benjamin and Matthew Fier sentenced an innocent girl and her mother, Susannah and Martha Goode, who were allegedly witches and to be burned at the stake for allegedly practicing witchcraft. Her father and husband, William Goode, put the curse on the Fiers to avenge their deaths, bringing misery and death to the family for years to come. Kiana Madeira as Deena Johnson, Olivia Scott Welch as Samantha Fraser, Benjamin Flores Jr. as Josh Johnson, Julia Rehwald as Kate, Fred Hechinger as Simon, Ashley Zukerman as Nick Goode, Darrell Britt-Gibson as Martin, Maya Hawke as Heather, Jordana Spiro as Mrs. Lane, Jordyn DiNatale as Ruby Lane, Charlene Amoia as Rachel Thompson / Sunnyvale customer, David W. The Secret of the Old Clock (1930) Nancy Drew is a 2007 American mystery thriller film loosely based on the series of mystery novels about the titular teen detective of the same name by Edward Stratemeyer. She has been Portrayed by Bonita Granville (1938–39 films), Pamela Sue Martin (1977 TV series) who is my favorite Nancy Drew. Janet Louise Johnson (1977 TV series), Tracy Ryan (1995 TV series), Maggie Lawson (2002 TV film), Emma Roberts (2007 film) Emma was a great Nancy. Sophia Lillis (2019 film) sadly she is my least favorite Nancy Drew and Kennedy McMann (2019 TV series) they could have done so much better with her character to make her seem more like the original Nancy Drew.
