The kopis is an ancient Greek sword almost identical in shape to the contemporary Iberian falcata. Its blade has a broad belly and a forward curve, and I’ve covered enough blades with this general forward-bending profile that anyone who’s been following should know what it’s used for; this was a chopping weapon. The shape allowed it to strike with the force of an axe, but it retained the longer cutting edge and point of a sword. In the film 300, it is depicted as the primary sword of the Spartan army, but this is likely inaccurate; most soldier would likely have carried a xiphos (a shorter thrusting sword) instead.
Summary: Ren is a weapon. An Eighth Generation Anti Shadow Weapon, to be specific. A stealth unit developed by the Kirijo Group in the aftermath of the Moonlight Bridge.
But Ren had also, once, been human. He's sure he had been, he can almost, almost remember being someone else, being human, having friends and a life and a home that smells vaguely of curry.
He doesn't particularly care if everyone else says those memories are impossible. He knows who he is.
The way Collin subtly makes jokes referencing his sexuality hit SO close to home. Throwing in “I’ll have sex with Zava” while the banter is still high - he looks around and everyone laughs along.
🗡️ This short and more compact Kopis with its forward sloping blade delivers fierce chopping power beyond what is typical of a sidearm dagger. The blade is crafted from sharpened 420 stainless steel. The spine is robust and thick; the blade and its grip tang are crafted from a single steel billet to ensure it has the most durable construction possible.
🗡️ The grip is completed with steel-riveted plates of polished bone and included is a sheath of thick leather with an integrated belt loop and brass-buttoned retaining strap.
i went nuts and busted out my sketchbook for the first time in months and doodled a bunch last week. Here are all the (basically) bobs burgers doodles <3
