Crash Bandicoot: Behind The Mask - Chapter 3

Upon hearing the terrible news, the three bandicoots gasped in horror, their fur standing on end. “Wait, wait a sec!” Coco stammered. “I thought Cortex said Uka Uka was dead!” “Well, he was only pretending to be on our side during the whole time rift adventure,” Tawna pointed out. “He could have been lying about that as well.”

“Oh dear, oh dear, whatever shall we do!?” Lani-Loli exclaimed, hopping around wildly in mid air. “Even we can’t defeat Uka Uka, none of us can!” “Face it…” sighed the blue side of Ika-Ika. “Our goose has been cooked.” “Perhaps all is not lost, dearies.” Kupuna-Wa spoke up. “There is a prophecy.” “A prophecy?” Aku Aku floated around in surprise. “Oh yes, I remember now…”

Meanwhile…

The sky above a mountainside began to shake, as if it was fabric being torn into with a sharp knife. Uka Uka emerged from the rift and Cortex’s possessed body landed on the cold rocks with a thud. “Ow!” The scientist exclaimed. The shock of the fall had begun to awaken him from the evil mask’s control.

“Mighty Uka Uka, please, please release me! I beg of you!” “Silence, vessel!” Uka Uka boomed. “You have not outlived your usefulness…yet!” With a shake and a flash, Cortex’s resistance was crushed once again. “We are approaching Wumpa Island, I sense it.” Uka Uka growled. “Then the bandicoots will finally perish!”

Back at the island…

“Uka Uka has claimed a mortal body as his vessel.” Aku Aku explained to the bandicoots. “The only thing that can break the spell is a father’s love for his long-lost son.” Kupuna-Wa explained. Crash’s ears perked up. “Huh?” He said. “A father’s love?” Coco repeated. “Long lost son? But Crash and I don’t know who our parents are. We were just regular bandicoots until Doctor Cortex captured and mutated us.”

Suddenly, a clap of thunder make the very heavens ring. The heroes looked up and saw dark clouds brewing overhead. “Looks like we’re in for a monsoon.” Tawna shuddered. “But it’s not monsoon season yet!” “This storm is not of this world, my children.” Aku Aku would have gulped in fear if he had a throat. “If I must give my life to save you from my brother, I shall.” Uka Uka’s evil laughter seemed to be borne on the wind.

Will Dark Nigel use the Power of tropy to understand the story of some One and why that Person act like that??? And Will ever Dark Nigel smile?

I don't believe N. Tropy canonically timetravelled without some sort of time-twister invention/machine. So Dark!Nigel doesn't have any powers related to that. He does have superspeed tho, just like regular Nigel had (where time slows down for Him like the Kupuna-Wa mask power).

Should also be pointed out that even if He had the power to look into someone's backstory/timeline, He wouldn't be interested in doing so. The inner lives of others are not of His concern.

As for smiling: No. Never. While He's just as physically capable of smiling as Nigel was, Dark!Nigel's entire emotional range is between "bored/disinterested" and "[Kill Bill sirens]". He is not able to feel joy, and what little emotion He feels when He's not actively in murder-mode, is very muted.

That is the price He ended up paying for basically mutilating His own mind.

I like to think the Tropys are scared of Kupuna-Wa on some level bc she will always know more than them, she especially knows when their time ends. I think N.Tropy (collectively) has a deep fear of their mortality, so they prolong their lives with time travel.

You say you're the youngest of the quantum masks, right? So, out of curiousity, How old are you and how old are the rest of the quantum masks?

That’s a little tough to answer in terms of linear time most mortals are familiar with…

You see, I was fifteen years old when I died. But, since I resurrected, my literal age is 400!

My siblings are many centuries older than me, especially Kupuna-Wa!

Actually now that I think about it, all of us as entities have basically existed since the beginning of existence since we used to be pure concentrations of magic and energy before we were reincarnated as humans, at least that’s what Kupuna-Wa tells me…see how hard this is to explain!

Here are Brok and his stepson Graff if they were in Skylanders. It is from another crossover story of mine "Skylanders featuring Crash and Spyro: Tough Brok". This pic is drawn back in January 2022.

Brok's attire is based off of Snap Shot of Skylanders: Trap Team while the hat itself is based off Skylanders: Swap Force's Rattle Shake, and fights like a heavyweight Boxer like he used to be and is from the Water Element, since he's a detective, he's able to use brain or brawl to overcome situations.

Graff's attire is based off of my Skylanders design of Hunter the Cheetah from Spyro the Dragon and Legend of Spyro in a classic style get-up, he's in the Tech Element since his main interest relies on science and he uses the energy blades to fight.

So basically, the story is that Kaos and Glumshanks discovered ancient Arkeyan machinery powered by Quantum energy where the evil Portal Master tempered with it wanting a way to take over Skylands, which the many universes to freeze and also caused the energy to spit into many Quantum Spheres, the Quantum Masks from Crash Bandicoot's universe deflected the wave to keep their dimension from suffering the same fate as the others, but unknowingly, it brought Brok and Graff, and their enemies the Squealers' Chief, Kins, and Dart to Skylands where they were stranded.

Brok and Graff were in the desert areas of Skylands and were caught in situations where their clothes were tattered, and later they meet the Skylanders while Brok also reunites with Crash, Coco, Crunch, Aku Aku, Lani-Loli, Akano, Kupuna-Wa, and Ika-Ika, they were on the mission to find the first Quantum Sphere before Kaos and Baron Von Shellshock do, which with the help from Brok and Graff, succeeded before heading back to Skylanders Academy, where Graff learns clothing is optional for certain species in Skylands and the entire universe, Brok already knew since he was once in Crash's dimension where the dress code for Mutants is almost identical to his in Atlasia from his universe, but they wear what they want, which doesn't happen very often, while in the Refuge Village for Mutants, clothing is like any other optional accessory

After their shower, the two gain new attires, which are simply gloves, leg armor, and various accessories where they dressed the same way certain Skylanders like Snap Shot and King Pen do, and decided to go with the flow, meanwhile they learn from Master Eon, The Brain, and the Quantum Masks that their universe was frozen from Kaos's tampering with the Quantum Arkeyan machinery and the fact they can't return to their dimension, so in order for the universes to be free, they all have to gather all the Quantum Spheres to restore them, so they are now on a journey with the Skylanders, Crash and his friends, and their allies to find them before Kaos and the Squealers do, meanwhile they will also encounter Nitros Oxide and Terro, who also want the Quantum Spheres for their own evil deeds too.

The Elementals meet the Quantum masks and the only ones who get along well is Lo-Lo, Lani-loli and Rok-ko sometimes. Sometimes Lo-Lo and Kupuna-wa get along and play pranks on others but once they play pranks on each other it turns into a war. Akano and Rok-ko just argue and fight a lot. Akano wins most of the time. Sometimes they get along. None of the Quantum masks gets along with Py-ro. Sometimes Lo-lo will mess with Ika-Ika and they’ll get into a fight a few times. I think Lani-loli will find a way to get Py-ro out of his shell and cheer him up a bit.
