Could you possibly elaborate on your Tinyheart AU bc it looks veeerry interesting!!

Of course, if you don't mind my messy ramble and doodles!

It was mostly inspired by my friend vana's/twistedclaw's AU spin on the idea and the fact I was pissed as a kid they introduced such a cool edgy character perfect for my interests, just to kill him in the book he was introduced- before the manga was a thing.

Seeing himself in Scourge [But unknowing of the half-brother thing yet] and a similarity of his time of proving himself to Thunderclan with the fight with Longtail, Firestar lets Scourge go despite his reluctance. They had the same path, the only thing that kept Scourge from having a life like Firestar was the patrol he ran into before Firestar.

Licking his wounds, Scourge wanders the forest to survive on his own and actually learn to hunt like a real forest cat, like in his mother's stories, an angry rogue who wanted to get back at Firestar like he had with Tigerstar. That anger settled to nothing after a while and with nowhere else to go after the battle and loss of Bloodclan's best, Scourge returns to Firestar who again pities the small cat and offered him a place in the clan only if he can prove himself and take on duties after awhile of being a prisoner- somewhat as like when Bluestar had offered Firestar to join when he was the age Scourge was when he ventured out.

So what are your top headcanons on Keira? Like I know a lot of people give her crap because of what happened in Jak 2 and how ND basically just nerfed her character in J3 only to make her more relevant in Jak X.

Número uno, I WILL return to this eventually because I'm not entirely done yet with the entire JND franchise and everything I am thinking about will probably become more solidified when I finish up 2-X. Número dos, when it comes to the "female character who often gets shafted by the narrative in a playstation game" category of character (kyrie devil may cry 4, kairi kingdom hearts), I will basically go right to their defense no matter what, so chances are I'll stick by Keira's side despite the character nerfing.

That being said, I do have some ideas....

Based on what I've played so far of Jak 2 + all of Jak 1, Keira was probably the most well set for acclimating to a 300+ year timeskip. She's a freakin mechanic and is skilled with her hands, so of course she picks up building as a job once she gets time skipped, and racing as well because that's popular at the time. I have a feeling if time shenanigans permit Keira was also the person who created the original prototype for the zoomers used in JND2 before the timeskip (kind of like how Elsie Bray/the Exo Stranger from Destiny 2 made the sparrow/bike prototypes in that game). She can fix and mod cars and probably is the one who modified Jak's main car in jak X to be a one seater instead of 2. She also has an interest in precursor tech and knows how some of that works, so hypothetically speaking she could pilot a mecha/gundam if she wanted to or incorporate it into her work. If the JND games didn't go the way that they did sequel wise, I think Keira would have definitely become a sage, but probably not the Green sage because she doesn't fall into the traditional "the party healer is a girl" trope (just like her dad) and is more of a technical person. My brain says blue eco.

Character dynamics wise... I don't know yet, but Keira might've been entirely by herself for 2 years out there in Haven working on the time machine zoomer thang alongside the racing gigs she did (not including the people Krew might've sent to her or Erol showing up to hit on her), which might've worn away at her spunk/made her more solitary by virtue of being by herself but she stays optimistic anyway. I do feel like she would be friends with Tess considering she's kind of "normal" and level headed compared to her old group (jak, dax, samos). Ashelin might intimidate her or awaken her bisexuality I dont make the rules, but also remember that I haven't beaten all the games and don't know if they actually all interact at least once in game. If they don't, that means more stuff for me to write!!!

Keira and Daxter would probably work together willingly, even though Dax annoys her. All I'm saying is if Keira had found out even earlier before the 2 year skip that Jak was being held captive in the palace, she would've inverse The Escapists that shit alongside Dax and try and break Jak out of there. She does know where the maintenance elevators are in the area, so a full blown heist doesn't seem too outlandish. She's still got spunk to her even after 2 years with none of her friends/loved ones around her, so she can banter for longer with Daxter if they got the time. Out of the original Sandover trio, she's the middle ground between Dax and Jak and their mediator. She isn't above duct taping Dax to the wall if anything gets too out of hand though

This part is gonna sound a little self-indulgent, but this is my house . Keira and Jak literally share interests so of course they're gonna be interested in eachother. Honestly I think Keira's the one wearing the pants between them, not because Jak doesn't take the initiative with her, but because he respects her and doesn't see a need to step in/insert himself into what she does. Same goes with Keira, there's mutual respect and they help each other out, but she is more outgoing than Jak is and can set him in the right direction if anything bad happens. She might not entirely understand what happened to Jak during those 2 years he was MIA, but she still tries to make sure he's OK/be a support system for him. Also they're bi4bi I again do not make the rules.

Everyone and their mother doesn't consider The L*st Frontier canon or that it ever happened but it's also where the heaviest redesign Keira has ever had comes from. I think it's actually kinda cute. Maybe the shirt she's wearing is an old shirt of Jak's, considering he was also an avid blue collared shirt wearer. IDK that's also very self indulgent for me LMAO

Last thing, there's no way that after a long time or working with heavy machinery and power tools that Keira isn't at least a little bit muscular. Just toned a liiiiiittle bit. Like she has her tummy and arms out, you can probably see some muscle definition through there, same with her back.

It is mildly surprising, but – Zhongli is not with him. Never before has Childe come to the Karst alone, let alone sent a summons to meet with this group of his own volition. He has extended olive branches and courteous gestures in the past, sure – but always with the protection of his lover not far from reach.

Though they exist in shorter sessions now, Xiao has taken on his regular patrols again. It has been a wholly transformative experience, to return to his work after becoming a father. Where he might have pushed himself harder, pressed past his limits and wrung himself dry – now Xiao limits himself.

From the Hanahaki Scaraether fic:

The domain is its new home for a time. It wanders these lonely halls in perpetuity. Things never change in this place – it is constantly stuck in twilight. The trees keep their leaves, the wind blows the same way, and the silence always persists. Sometimes, its mind plays tricks on it. Birdsong, or the occasional beat of a drum – things it wishes it could experience, just once, flitter past its ears.

Feeling in his body fades away, and he cannot save himself from the fall; not even if he had wanted to. Air rushes past him, and in his blurring vision he sees their silhouettes watching his descension.

“Is it possible… to change the past?” Aether’s hesitation and surprise is answer enough.

All of this – how could it be? To have a past that he does not remember, to have tried to erase his own existence –

The world shifts. In a dream, he relives the past. He remembers none of it, yet it all feels very familiar. With each new memory, with each new change of scenery, the heaviness in his chest grows just a little more intense.

For a moment, he thinks that Aether will refuse. And – well, he has every right to. Their past is muddy at best; not exactly conducive to an amicable meal together. But then, as he manages to do in every other facet – Aether surprises him, and sits down.

“ – cannot expect me to have the place cleaned on my own. I know you don’t believe me when I say this, but I have work to do just as much as you do – And with deadlines, to boot!” Kaveh seethes. “I know I have let this fly in the past, and the timing is questionable, but – ” “But,” Al-Haitham cuts in, “Now you have the pent up frustration of feeling left out during a great time of change. And you’ve decided to take it out on me. Rather than rationalize everything and find a solution, you have decided to lean on your emotions and use your ideals as a crutch once again.”

Abel realizes, then, that today is an exercise in resilience. Buer was not just touring him around to acquaint him with his new colleagues; she was acquainting him with his past sins, too.

Abel nods minutely. Then, he turns his gaze to Ruhan again. “Boss – ” he tries. Buer tries to shush him, but he is insolent enough right now to ignore her. He swallows past the feeling of glass in his throat, and he croaks, “Thank you – again – ” He shakes his head when he sees that Ruhan is about to refuse, or tell him that his thanks are unnecessary. “Too kind – ” he gasps. “Thank you.”

Just past noon, Buer finally summons for him. The day had grown unbearably hot, so he had taken a visit to the Puspa Café. Cup of bitter tea in his hands, he had found a corner to sequester himself in, and sipped at it quietly. Now, the cup is nearly drained – but Abel dreads going back into the heat, so he settled further into his seat and relented to the idea of spending his afternoon here.

Without much of a thought – Abel takes to the skies. His Vision glows as he rises into the air. The remaining joints of his body glow with it, giving him an ethereal visage. From up here, he can see past the hills and the trees, well off into the distance.

From the Xiaoether Apocalypse AU:

They end up needing to leave their camp sooner than Aether would have liked. A group of men drive by in a truck. It roves slowly past their abandoned camp – slow enough for them to hear the sounds of people screaming from inside the back trailer. He doesn’t remember anything like this from his last visit here, which means this group only settled in the area within the last few months. The truck continues past the camp and heads toward the snowy mountain that looms overhead. As it disappears into the fog and the snow, Aether breathes a sigh of relief.

Seagulls cry overhead as Paimon horses around in the sand. She had been overly cautious at the blue expanse that stretched past the shore – but the soft grains of sand had tickled when Aether coaxed her to place her hands in it. And that was enough. Now, she plays with reckless abandon and the innocence befitting of a child.

Liyue is much warmer at this time of year, and especially further south, near to the border of Sumeru. If he can get Paimon past the higher plains of northern Liyue, then they might be able to spend a warm winter near Sumeru’s border.

The north of Liyue is still chilly, but past the river is already a stark difference from Mondstadt. It is not as biting, and the wind is more forgiving. Golden sunlight cuts through the early morning fog and warms their bones.

From the Kavetham Quicksand Fic:

As with any one of their past arguments – this one begins with a bit of petty discourse.  Kaveh supposes that he walked himself into this one. What begins as a critique of Al-Haitham’s (lack of) taste in décor very naturally devolves into a (one-sided) shouting match; the likes of which could very well probably be heard all the way down Treasures Street.

I absolutely adore your Efteling art. How do you capture the Anton Pieck style so well? I've been trying myself but it's quite tricky. Do you have any tips?

Hey! Thank you so much 💙 sorry for the late reply, I haven't been keeping up with this site as much lately;;

Honestly it's been a lot of trial and error before I managed to get the right aesthetic in my art, so I'll try to give some tips, but I do believe one of the most important things is to study the basics of art, colour, light, that sorta stuff, because it'll help you massively when trying to understand how other artists work! (But try to find more professional sources, I feel a lot of tutorials out there try to teach you their own specific steps rather than giving you insight on the progress).

Also don't back down from studying Anton Piecks work from up close, maybe even redrawing elements of it or experimenting with their colour. As long as it isn't all you end up doing and try to find the elements you enjoy most to add to your own thing, that should be fine! (My style is also inspired by other artists styles like Arthur Rackham, Tim Burton and the 20k series and games I've been into).

As for some actual more targeted tips:

- Find brushes that replica watercolour /pencils / ink that you like working with. I like giving my drawings a bit of a rough textured look, because traditional art isn't as clean as digital can be.

- When I just started with the style I liked to replica working traditionally with watercolour in Photoshop, meaning that I started out with light colours and worked my way up to darker tones later (Don't fear big light and dark contrasts tho!). I also work on 1 layer in this style a lot of times. But that's not a requirement;;

- I do my lineart during or after I colour. Usually I just darken my sketch lines, actually.

- Use an overlay with paper texture, although you could probably do without as well. Honestly I'm figuring this part out rn bc the layer I use makes my prints look ugly. Oops.

- Maybe try to do the style with traditional art too! I've done it a few times, limiting your tools and options, and experiencing traditional art does give you a good feel of what it can and can't do.

Like I said, this progress was a trial and error thing for me, so I never really made any ground rules for myself, so I hope these are clear enough and helpful;;

what you think if inuyasha remianing manga chapters adpated trashahime include cat demon?

I'm not entirely sure what this is asking. Like if Hny adapted the unused chapters for their own?

The only "canon" bit of that show is the root head scene and even then they messed it up. Doesn't matter if it's necessarily from the source material if they don't bother to do it right. For example, Rin is back to being 7 and kohaku 11 instead of the 10/11 and 14 they should be. It was adapted extremely sloppy.

Minus "other issues", trashahime has the problem of a sloppy plot, inconsistent flow, and out of character main characters that aren't their own ocs. Even then, their ocs are also inconsistent. If they can't make the og established characters behave in ways that are recognized, doesn't matter if they adapt old chapters or not.

Inuyasha and kagome were MARRIED we're guessing by the time root head happened. And he STILL went and compared her to his dead ex? It had been about YOUR YEARS since she perma-died. Sunrise loves that triangle and has some weird obsession with kikyo. In the manga he was never that bad. He never asked if he could have both. They brought back "kikyo" for Hny in form only and then forgot about her and never even had her interact with Inuyasha in Hny. What was the point?

Doesn't matter if they adapted ignored chapters for that show, honestly. Because they couldn't do anything right to begin with. Even in the OG they ruined chapter orders and character behaviors so it doesn't really matter anymore with how much worse they did with the disaster of an AU. Maybe if the characters people knew behaved in a recognizable manner, maybe if they had a consistent plot that didn't retcons itself episodes later or villians with consistent motives and behavior, maybe if they didn't contradict their own timeline, and maybe if they had mains that weren't so ridiculously Marysue to the point of making absolutely no sense with their powers and appearance...

Maybe if it tried to be a good original show, then the adapted chapters would stand a chance

What's something about a character you've been DYING to talk about, but haven't had the opportunity to?

Okay, so I had to think long on this one because I have many. In the end, I guess I shall explain a few. Also, this took longer because I didn't get notified at first and also I needed a screenshot I forgot to save to my phone. Long so I am putting a cut.

First off is the actual lore of all my characters compared to each other. Timelines, dimensions, time travel, voidal things, unique things that could have been world bending if square suddenly didn't make lore that could easilly explain away what my friend and I had put in character lores. We about died from laughter each time something we came up with was suddenly Canon possible. Anyways, I want to do a whole family and allies tree with lore. One thing that stops me is what people will say about some of that lore.

Next is all of Florentel's AUs. I mean, my friend and I have about 5+ AUs of Ren and his husband.

Wilted Wings: One for pain! They lose their friends and almost die themselves while finally defeating an enemy long been a thorn in their side. After everything in Canon universe and then this tangent timeline, Sorrel is finally broken and Florentel has to pick up the pieces and heal his husband's heart. Very much pain. But in the end they do get a decent ending.

Free Wings: Way in the future in a different timeline where they are not the Warriors of Light but just two people living in Ishgard after the world is at peace. This is mostly pure fluff (and slow burn love)... and a reason to give Ren a sister.

Blood Dripped Rose: A vampire Ren and detective/hunter Sorrel AU. Zenos is in this one as the master vampire. Ren dyes his hair and grows it out to take a new identity... since everyone thinks he is dead... while trying to find a way to break free from Zenos... I mixed and matched hairstyles for how I want it. The new hairstyle from sanctuary works great for when it is put up in a tail. I've even done a few quick sketches.

4. Scented Books: Modern High School AU. Popular Sorrel finds out the Vice President Florentel's secret and uses it as a means to befriend him... and eventually get a date.

5. Beneath the Stars: The Prophet reaches his hand out to the Fallen Hero. "The world still has need of you." After his life is saved, Sorrel helps the Prophet, Ren, as his personal bodyguard to end a calamity of beasts and darkness. Blinded in the initial start, Sorrel never gets to see Ren's face... even when Ren shares his sight with the hero. Florentel knows many pasts and futures. Many worlds. So many they are lovers... but he never says anything... and plans to eventually gift Sorrel his sight returned before retreating to solitude probably never to be actually seen again... or so he thinks.

Uh... I shall stop here so it doesn't get any longer. But yeah... there is a few of the things I was dying to talk about and willing to go into more detail at any time. Thank you so much for asking. I could have gone on forever haha.

I've been thinking a lot lately about how Kabru deprives himself.

Kabru as a character is intertwined with the idea that sometimes we have to sacrifice the needs of the few for the good of the many. He ultimately subverts this first by sabotaging the Canaries and then by letting Laios go, but in practice he's already been living a life of self-sacrifice.

Saving people, and learning the secrets of the dungeons to seal them, are what's important. Not his own comforts. Not his own desires. He forces them down until he doesn't know they're there, until one of them has to come spilling out during the confession in chapter 76.

Specifically, I think it's very significant, in a story about food and all that it entails, that Kabru is rarely shown eating. He's the deuteragonist of Dungeon Meshi, the cooking manga, but while meals are the anchoring points of Laios's journey, given loving focus, for Kabru, they're ... not.

I'm sure he eats during dungeon expeditions, in the routine way that adventurers must when they sit down to camp. But on the surface, you get the idea that Kabru spends most of his time doing his self-assigned dungeon-related tasks: meeting with people, studying them, putting together that evidence board, researching the dungeon, god knows what else. Feeding himself is secondary.

He's introduced during a meal, eating at a restaurant, just to set up the contrast between his party and Laios's. And it's the last normal meal we see him eating until the communal ending feast (if you consider Falin's dragon parts normal).

First, we get this:

Kabru's response here is such a non-answer, it strongly implies to me that he wasn't thinking about it until Rin brought it up. That he might not even be feeling the hunger signals that he logically knew he should.

They sit down to eat, but Kabru is never drawn reaching for food or eating it like the rest of his party. He only drinks.

It's possible this means nothing, that we can just assume he's putting food in his mouth off-panel, but again, this entire manga is about food. Cooking it, eating it, appreciating it, taking pleasure in it, grounding yourself in the necessary routine of it and affirming your right to live by consuming it. It's given such a huge focus.

We don't see him eat again until the harpy egg.

What a significant question for the protagonist to ask his foil in this story about eating! Aren't you hungry? Aren't you, Kabru?

He was revived only minutes ago after a violent encounter. And then he chokes down food that causes him further harm by triggering him, all because he's so determined to stay in Laios's good graces.

In his flashback, we see Milsiril trying to spoon-feed young Kabru cake that we know he doesn't like. He doesn't want to eat: he wants to be training.

Then with Mithrun, we see him eating the least-monstery monster food he can get his hands on, for the sake of survival- walking mushroom, barometz, an egg. The barometz is his first chance to make something like an a real meal, and he actually seems excited about it because he wants to replicate a lamb dish his mother used to make him!

...but he doesn't get to enjoy it like he wanted to.

Then, when all the Canaries are eating field rations ... Kabru still isn't shown eating. He's only shown giving food to Mithrun.

And of course the next time he eats is the bavarois, which for his sake is at least plant based ... but he still has to use a coping mechanism to get through it.

I don't think Kabru does this all on purpose. I think Kui does this all on purpose. Kabru's Post Traumatic Stress Disorder should be understood as informing his character just as much as Laios's autism informs his. It's another way that Kabru and Laios act as foils: where Laios takes pleasure in meals and approaches food with the excitement of discovery, Kabru's experiences with eating are tainted by his trauma. Laios indulges; Kabru denies himself. Laios is shown enjoying food, Kabru is shown struggling with it.

And I can very easily imagine a reason why Kabru might have a subconscious aversion towards eating.

Meals are the privilege of the living.

I do find it funny now that I think about it, that both our oc's fell for blondies, just on the different end of the morality spectrum-

One is a blood-obsessed cutesy yandere, and the other is an aggressive hot-head with a good heart.

As for how Villain Kyoko came to be, she actually started off the same as normal up until the Sports Festival. During the tournament portion, she has to fight against her bully Ryoto. Due to a combination of being overwhelmed with fear and Ryoto’s over-aggressiveness, she ends up critically injured which includes loosing one of her eyes and loosing a lot of blood, most of it from a large slash down her back and a deep bite to her neck.

While she was rushed to Recovery Girl, she was later taken and patched up by a different villain outside of the league. This villain manipulates her overtime into believing that the teachers and other students did nothing to help her and instead left her to die before being ‘rescued’ by him. Later on, this villain dies from a disease he was already suffering from, which leads to her joining the league.

The only thing that remained from Kyoko’s old self was her feelings for Katsuki and she was enraged when she saw the live airing of the awards ceremony. And while the other villains captured Katsuki to make him a villain, Kyoko saw the kidnapping as a way to protect him from being hurt by the heroes again.

this is a little niche and probably incredibly difficult to try to animate but a cool idea for the nostalgia set specifically in the kitchen is one of those pull out trash cans from the cabinets. We had one in an old house my family lived in, cousins & I would always play in it and hide in it but I was just thinking about older trash can themes while i was using the kitchen set for my current build.

it uses the tuning for the nano-can, so you'll receive simoleons for your trash

note: sims are able to throw garbage away, and the cabinet will animate, but they won't actually route *to* the trash can first; they just sort of chuck it into the abyss. whenever i try to add constraints to the interaction, the sim can no longer throw away trash, so i've left it as-is for now. trash cans do not like to be edited apparently, and changing any little bit of tuning can make it stop functioning altogether. (if anyone knows how to force sims to route with the trash, please let me know!)

also you'll notice the cupboard is slightly darker than the others. it's using a different shader, because the counter shader prevents the animation from playing. another annoying little thing i'm not sure how to fix

it's far from perfect, but i hope you get some use out of it!

How does nooroo feel about Tom in your villian dad au?

After initial introductions, Tom basically thinks Nooroo is a figment of his imagination and a testament to his mind crumbling from the grief of losing Sabine. Nooroo gets an inside look on what really matters to tom, though

Tom uses the butterfly miraculous not for himself, but for the benefit of his daughter. The vengeance he's trying to take on "Hawkmoth" isn't quite as simple as "you're responsible for the death of my wife," it stems from a very, very different source - which makes Nooroo more sympathetic to helping him.

He's still not thrilled, but, Marinette and Tom are so kind to him, he really can't find it in himself to complain.

Okay, so I wasn't going to do a cut... but it ended up longer than expected. I hope you enjoy! @morganaux Thanks for the ask. ~MK

For Ren, it is the flickering shadow of a candle upon the wall, the sweet scent of fresh baked crowned pie, the bitter aroma and taste of medicinal herbs, the sound of a cackling fire, and the sight of paperwork stacked tall. All these things bring to mind his family. How they crafted candles together and how his eldest brother kept skipping out on his paperwork of selling them. How he would drag his brother to do them, and how he ended up doing most of it anyways. How their manservent made the best pie, especially during the many times growing up that Ren was bedridden from his illness. Always was a fire lit in his room then too. And lastly, just looking at his ring brings to mind memories of Sorrel and his bonding... and all the memories that lead to it. His most revisited memories are the many times Sorrel had flirted with him and he blatantly didn't know it at the time or refused to believe Sorrel meant every attempt. Everytime they are cuddled together just enjoying each other's company.. Ren would think back and internally groan at his stupidity back then. Yes, he is quick to shake it off and just be happy in the moment, but the memories still make their presence known and leave behind an embarrassed blush. Most certainly he enjoys the nostalgia.

Oh... oh boy. Ah, poor Jan. Um.. well, one could say when he is cooking. If Adelphel isn't there to offer small talk, Janlenoux is often reminded of the past. Of practicing in the Vault kitchens... prepairing special desserts for each Ward member for after dinner. Ice cream for Haumeric. Chocolate cookies for Grinnoux if he had behaved that day (for Jan often took away dessert rights if Grinnoux had messed up his kitchen for a snack or teased Adelphel). Adelphel was always fond of cake and almond croissants are his own favorites. Just to name a few. If Adelphel was around, and sometimes helping, Jan would remember the clumsy moments the other was in the kitchen... like the bag of flour that had been dropped and poofed all over the blond locks.... or when Adelphel had burnt water. If not when cooking, it is when he is training or talking with the adder squadrons he and Adelphel ended up a part of (Under different identities of course, supplied by Sybil). Those moments bring back memories of his training and Ward days. The familiar warmth of being a part of a group to rely on each other and fight side by side... or tease and bicker and joke with. Sometimes, nostalgia comes to him out of nowhere. His most often revisited memory is when he woke up in a blizzard, Adelphel by his side and both wounded close to death, sometime after that fateful battle. Neither of them know how they survived to this day no matter how many times they look back at those memories... for even that fight had holes in the memory. Not that Jan was surprised given he had a bunch of stones smack into his skull in that fight. But he can't leave well enough alone. Even if their tempering has been cured... even if they are happy living their new lives... even if they wear half masks and changed their names... even if they came to terms with surviving after helping undercover with the blasphemy of their ex-allies (because they werent going to let Sybil's wife fight it alone especially after giving birth recently and they also needed the closure), Janlenoux keeps thinking back and wondering. His nostalgia is bittersweet.

(I do have lore on how they survived, but Jan doesn't know it so I don't see a reason to write it out at this moment. It'll be complicated to write and requires introductions of other characters and possible relation charts lol. Maybe another time.)

Loifa! He gets nostalgic just being around Ancel and Mahaud. Listening to them talk and banter... the nostalgic feel of their company. Maybe something may trigger nostalgia for when he was with his mentor... but for the most part his time before meeting Guildivain is relatively lost in the sea of his trauma. Hence, his most revisited memory is his time being tested on. Anything he can learn from those memories to help his friends is enough to warrant going through the ptsd of them. I would say he enjoys the nostalgia... just not the memories he revisits.

Relatively short answer compared to the other two, but it is all that is really needed.
