hello one and all, and welcome barrett goodman. one of the goodman sons born on the goodman farm, 33 years ago. a happy and cozy family. bear was very close to his brothers and usually on good terms with his parents.

from the very beginning, he was a big dumb charismatic idiot, always getting his friends and brothers into trouble. well meaning as he was, he reveled in being the big brother, born leader.

when he wasn’t leading his younger brothers into mysterious caves in the forest or town crossing expedition to do a mini road trip, he was busy blaming house hold accidents on them. 

he introduced every girlfriend he had to his family, and always brought home take out from work when he would get off. family always meant a lot to him.

when he was a preteen, he started to develop his magic. he was very young when he found his calling in magic. never good with extremely technical magic nor very book smart, he took to magic that transformed his physical form, or could help him to keep others safe.

he began to refine his talent in enchantment into a specialty for transforming into animal forms. over time he’s developed a keen sense of how long he can maintain these forms, and even has more luck staying in forms he’s more familiar with.

when a series of unfortunate events befell their family, he did the one thing he’s never been known to do. he took accountability and responsibility. he stepped up when his brother disappeared, when his parents needed him, after his twin brothers left, he took it upon himself to keep their humble and loving home held together with a smile.

he stopped running and stayed with his family, worried for his brothers and hoping to keep things together.

of course, then they lost their parents, and the weight he had been shouldering nearly crushed him. he tended to the funeral, their graves, and the empty shell of the house that once was loving, full of light and warmth and love.

and under all that grief and he unusual display of responsibility he clung to, he snapped...

before his brothers returned, he packed up his belongings and did what he had always been known for. he ran off. spurned having to be the only one left in his empty nest where nothing was left for him, and rode off on his motorcycle into the night.

he took to moving from town to town, staying for a few months to do odd jobs. sometimes he even stays in animal form to stay unseen.

at this moment he’s working as a mechanic, staying low while searching the horizon for a chance to find his brothers, or better yet, a cure to whatever sickness is infecting this world. biding his time. more alone than he had ever been in his entire life.
