#LV appreciation post

I finished my neutral run of Undertale Yellow yesterday, and I'm still thinking about how cool it was. The graphics in the final boss fight were so impressive and the different art styles were executed incredibly. The reveal that Clover would stay with Toriel if Flowey didn't intervene I think adds so much to the hints of their past we get throughout the game. I think it's not unreasonable to interpret this as Clover desiring a better home life so much that they would be willing to sacrifice their mission for it. It's a neat character detail.

I think the absolute coolest part of it all, though, is the pre-fight because it shows how well the dev team understood what made Undertale special. Undertale played on the expectations of your average gamer, and Undertale Yellow in turn plays on your expectations as someone who liked Undertale enough to seek out a fan game for it. I think it's safe to say that most people probably got the pacifist ending on their first run since they weren't forced into a neutral run like in Undertale. The pacifist ending basically shows the best and presumably canon ending for Undertale Yellow. After all, the only person who has to die is Clover. This naturally raises the question of what happens on a neutral run. It must be meaningfully different, or else it wouldn't be optional. Doing a low LV neutral run initially presents what would probably have been a fairly decent outcome for most characters if Flowey didn't step in. (Also it raises a really fascinating ethical question on whether you would be willing to sacrifice one random scrub monster or robot for a decent ending where Clover gets to live.) Without Flowey's intervention at the end, Dalv would stop isolating and would connect with the inhabitants of the Ruins, Ceroba would find solace in being with the Feisty Five, Starlo would return to his old self and makes good with his posse, Axis would get to remain active and without his anger issues, and Martlet and Clover would get to have a pleasant existence together. Now, all of this is, admittedly, pretty hypothetical, but it's not unreasonable to assume that this is how things would go. For those that wanted an ending where Clover lives, the neutral route seems to provide that as a possibility. And then it rips that possibility away. It plays with and takes advantage of that desire I think most people have to see all of the main cast if not happy, then at least content. Even though we got the "best" ending and know Clover has to die, we still want that wish fulfillment of seeing everyone together after the credits roll, and I think the devs were fully aware of that. It is genuinely so impressive that the devs managed to make such the neutral run into something so fascinating when it could have easily been a boring, stepping stone on the way to the other endings

There was more interest in this au than expected, so I’ll add more info on this post. But also please feel free to ask any questions you have!

More info:

- The Tenma parents should probably be divorced with how much they fight and usually Tsukasa ends up being the rope in their constant Tug-of-war

- Tenmama treats Tsukasa like the daughter she always wanted to have (despite literally having a daughter) so that’s why his hair is long and some of his casual clothes are feminine colors! She wants him to follow in her footsteps to become a pianist, since he’s such a prodigy.

- Tsukasa has mentioned the fact Saki enjoys the piano and would probably be happy if her mom took an interest in her playing, but Tenmama thinks Saki would need ‘a few more years of experience before she really gets it’ since ‘after all there’s a difference between a child enjoying making pretty sounds, and a real appreciation for an instrument’.

- That sentiment made no sense to Kasa bcs he doesn’t care at all about the piano and so how could *he* appreciate it more than someone who loves it, plus he thinks Saki’s playing is much better than his. It also caused a weird tearing sensation in his chest, but he didn’t understand it.

- Meanwhile the Tenma dad is also awful. He is very tied up in traditional masculinity, so he gets upset with Tsukasa for doing so many feminine things, despite that literally being Tenmama’s doing. He wants Tsukasa to have academic success and get a prestigious career (lawyer, doctor, etc.) since ‘men aren’t lucky enough to be able to marry into money so they can do frivolous things like play piano’

- He does respect that mr. Aoyagi was able to make a career out of piano, but sees him as one of the ‘lucky few geniuses’ that made it and thinks it’s far too unstable of a job for Kasa to pursue. He wants to ‘set his *son* up for success’ after all

- This forces Tsukasa to have an incredibly strict routine each day so he can do enough to satisfy both his parents, bcs if the Tenma’s think he’s even slightly prioritizing one of his tasks over another they’ll start fighting about him ‘taking a side’

- which can lead to fun results such as: The time his father came into his room while he was asleep and cut his hair to a ‘proper male’ length, or when his mother bodily dragged him out of cram school with everyone watching bcs he needed to spend more time on piano instead. Their fighting always seems to hurt their kids more than them.

- Also Tsukasa usually wears his school uniform, instead of casual clothes, everywhere since his parents can’t argue about a school mandated outfit. The only thing he wears as an accessory, and he wears it with every outfit, is a fish hairtie Saki got him when they were younger. He makes an effort to hide it in his hair since otherwise his parents would take it, but it’s the only clothing item that is strictly *his* and he can still remember when wearing made him happy. Even if he can’t feel it anymore the memory is still nice.

- Saki also gets mistreated but in a different way, even worse than treating her like glass, the Tenma’s treat her like she’s still the toddler she was when she first got sick. They act like she’s an incompetent, whiny baby rather than a Teenager in their first year of Highschool and it infuriates her to no end. So most of the time spent with her parents is spent fighting angrily about something, while they patronizingly laugh her off with comments like ‘Young girls these days, so spirited’

- it doesn’t help that Tsukasa absolutely refuses to get involved and when he is dragged in, he always makes non committal statements that are more platitudes than actual thoughts on the matter. Which of course just frustrates Saki even more

- especially since Tsukasa has been helping Saki sneak out of the house during her ‘rest time’ (she basically has one hour of free time after school then she’s expected to stay in her room the rest of the day to ‘destress’, this was not recommended by the doctors her parents just decided on their own) so she can actually live life now that she’s out of the hospital. So clearly he does agree their parents are too overbearing in ‘caring’ for her, so why doesn’t he say anything when she argues with them?

I was planning to talk more about the group’s dynamics and Sekai’s but umm,, guess it’s all just Tenma’s dynamics instead. I still haven’t covered even close to everything about this family mess ha, they’re complicated.

I will mention, however, since it ties in to what I’ve talked about:

- Tsukasa’s Sekai is the Chess Sekai, it’s a massive chessboard with a stretch of grey area that cuts right through the middle of it, each VS’s appearance is based on a piece. The remaining pieces are based off of expectations that have been placed on him (e.x a piano for the piano career and on the opposite side books for the academic career)

- The pieces will move based on what is currently ‘winning’ in his life ( e.x. The books will be further forward if it’s currently exam period and the like). But since there’s that section of grey cutting the board in half none of the pieces can ever cross to the other side and the game is in a perpetual stalemate, with pieces moving meaninglessly back and forth forever

Not technically relevant but I’d feel bad not mentioning:

- Mafuyu’s Sekai is the Storybook Sekai, if you’ve ever seen Van gough’s painted world (it’s a movie) that’s what her Sekai looks like, it’s like being in a painting but the world still moves around you so you can watch the brushstrokes shift as if they were the real thing they depicted. Rather than plushies she has little cartoon animals from various fables she’s read throughout her life, their personalities reflect the story they come from.

! long post incoming and i want to point out that i don't plan on using this blog to discuss any of these people (only maybe very rarely) - i don't like them, i don't think they're good people, i don't want to argue with people who think otherwise, and i usually ignore whatever they're up to - my main focus will always be on milex/miles !

hi anon! <3 i have no idea how much you know already, or if you basically don't know anything related to these three, or any of them. i will say that i have no screenshots concerning the things that i mention, but searching their names up on tumblr and/or scrolling through blogs like @/shit-talk-turner and @/alexstorm will make things more clear.

this whole thing started when louise posted a screenshot yesterday of an am fan saying some dumb shit about her in the comments and bringing up alexa (i still can't believe she posted this). she posted this with some equally stupid words (i don't have the screenshot - you can find it on twitter/tumblr/ig/tiktok/wherever), and matt then reposted her story, jumping to protect her (maybe amanda did too, i don't know). then she managed to screenshot some nice comments and posted those too, saying that 'love always wins' or something similar, and that haters can kiss her ass (this definitely didn't come across as her craving and asking for some compliments; she definitely doesn't need people babying her in order for her to feel good about herself) - which reminded me of something similar that amanda said like a year ago, that they don't pay attention to the haters anyways, of course after posting a long paragraph paying attention to them (makes me laugh just to think about it).

there are so many other hysterical and foolish things she does, like posting pictures of a messy bed (look, i'm fucking alex turner!), selfies with suspicious rings, other pics hinting at alex's presence, calling paparazzis to take pictures of them on the beach, pretending to be jane birkin and alex to be serge gainsbourg, going off about how independent she is while living off of alex's money, somehow managing to make matt's and amanda's marriage about her (with amanda encouraging her), 'accidentally' always doing these when miles has important things going on, etc etc (the fact that her and miles never interacted in real life is also deeply concerning. alex, dear, you should always trust your best friend when they don't like your partner, they always end up being right - especially knowing that miles was always on really good terms with alex's exs). it's clear that she's deeply insecure and adores when the attention is on her and when people are talking about her, and if she goes for a long period without this, she just has to pull something that will get fans talking. she's trying so hard to fit in and be the sexy rockstar girlfriend that she just ends up looking stupid.

about amanda... now, if i remember correctly, amanda had a blog dedicated to her music, and people dug up some screenshots in which she replies to someone and uses the n-word, and then another post where she's being racist. these screenshots are somewhere in the depths of my phone and it would be impossible to find them, and regardless, these screenshots are so old that she could've well changed for the better since then.

the problem with her is the fact that she's having arguments in the comments with young fans (asking stuff like did they have brain tumours for breakfast and other ridiculous things...or was that louise?) and posts even more ridiculous stories in response to people bullying louise, and protecting her like she's a toddler who can't take care of herself. the pure arrogance and self-importance with which she communicates her ideas is just mental, she thinks that she's on the top of the world, and encourages louise to act the same way. it's baffling that two 40-ish women think that bullying 14 year olds will achieve anything other than encouraging other 'fans' to act the same way.

the thing about matt is just basically the fact that ever since he's been with amanda, he acts the same way as her. now, i know there's been some issue about some idiots commenting about his daughter, which made him deactivate his ig account, and i have absolutely no words for the people who dared to say anything about that poor, innocent, completely blameless child. but even before this, he turned to the same kind of arrogance as amanda and reposted all her stories concering louise. the way that they need to say over and over again what a good person louise is, how much alex loves her, how great their relationship is, how beautiful and kind and caring she is... makes you really question if she really is indeed all those things (especially if you opened those links i posted). more importantly, what exactly do they plan to achieve arguing with teenage girls? it's so childish, my god, they are only adding fuel to the fire. god knows what they're telling alex and also god knows what he thinks about it all.

there's something that i'm not 100% sure about, but i'm gonna say it in the hopes that someone will see this and will tell me if this is wrong or not: matt cheated on breana when both her parents died (this one is definitely true), and left her with 1 year old amelia, and fucked off to live with another woman (amanda denies being the woman in question, i have no idea). she was solo parenting for a while (breana said all these in a podcast), then matt woke up and decided that he wants something to do with his daughter after all, and ever since then he takes care of her too - good job love, you're still horrible though.

in short, l&a's insanely childish antics dragged matt into the whole thing too. they're constantly throwing hissy fits, in hopes to achieve god knows what, and then they feel proud of themselves for telling teenage girls off. which makes you think, what would happen if am would be 10 times more popular than they are know, and louise would get 10 times the hate she gets now? or even better, what would happen if louise would get the same amount of hate miles gets on the daily? she said in her screenshot that she knows that it's only a minority of the fandom that leave such mean comments - then what's the point of paying attention to it? all this just shows another reason why these two definitely don't like each other - miles has brains, the other one... well, i'm sorry. i tried my best to like them and look past their mistakes,but i just can't do it.

Taking a tiny break from the ask games for a headcanon post!

Killer likes really passionate kisses with lots of tongue. The type that leaves you breathless and panting, and wanting for more than just the kiss. His hands... wander too, so the chances of it becoming more than just a kiss are pretty high. He likes bites, too, but those are less kiss and more marking. He's not satisfied until he gets at least one moan into his mouth, or a gasp of his name. Both is great. Dust likes intense kisses, ones that clearly convey your passion and desire. They don't have to have tongue, he's just about how much feeling they can convey, more than words ever can, because he's sometimes bad at words, and actions do speak louder. Nips on lips, grunts, groans, all of that. They chase away the thoughts, the creeping burn of LV in his marrow, until all he can focus on is you. Axe likes the ones that linger. Slow, loving kisses that he can enjoy and etch into his memory. The kind that take little thought and effort, but have no shortage of affection behind them. Even little pecks that take a moment to pull away from... he loves it. If they go on for minutes at a time, even better. He'd die happy to just.. laze about and kiss you for an hour or two. Cross likes kisses on the face and chest, especially giving them, but he delights in kisses from the top of his crown to the center of his sternum. It means more than kisses on lips to him because... it shows an appreciation of the body, of the person, and conveys devotion and adoration. They're assurances that it's more than just a lustful attraction, and that there's a deeper connection. Baggs likes the casual ones the most, little passing pecks, kisses on hands or wrists as he's moving from one place to another, dropping a kiss on his cheek or the top of his skull, tiny reminders that he's not alone and that he's worthy of that level of casual intimacy. That you love him of your own volition and actively choose to display it, frequently and thoughtlessly. He gives as good as he gets here, too, so he's also prone to picking up your hand and kissing the back of it, or sweeping by to press a kiss to your cheek or the top of your head, or even a brief little peck if you tilt your head back or towards him. Nightmare likes hand kisses. Historically, they show devotion and loyalty, but there's just... something about kissing the back of the hand that makes it seem so much more intimate than that. Kisses to the palm, too, and he gives those often. Kiss his palm (or where his palm would be) and he's completely smitten. Kissing the fingers is a display of trust and adoration, of loving what those fingers can do, and the person behind those fingers. He'll nuzzle into your palm, too, and out come the sweet nothings.

Another Echoes ramble: Berkut edition, go!

I will open this up by saying that I enjoy this character, a lot. I think this mainly stems from the fact that Fire Emblem is a series where a lot of its major antagonists fall either into the role of problem dragon or evil cult, not that there is anything wrong with that mind you, I just appreciate some variety. Echoes was my 3rd FE, after Awakening and Fates, so I think that sorta explains my attachment to this character.

Now onto the actual opinion post!

From what I have seen, the general consensus around Echoes original characters is split, you either care about them or don't. I think they have been discussed at length already so for the sake of not getting off-topic, I will leave it at that.

I would like to talk about Berkut's role in overall narrative first.

Before Echoes, Alm's character didn't have its narrative foil. Celica does compliment what he lacks but is still not a foil in his story. The big enemies Alm faces aka. Rudolf, Jedah and ultimately Duma are not the true contrast to Alm. As he is part of Rudolf's plans, he inherits his wish (while Rudolf is also a martyr). Alm, like most Rigelians in the story, represents Duma's philosophy of strength and fortitude but not its extreme. Duma and Mila's extremes come from both dragon degeneration and their position as godlike figures of Valentia. And lastly Jedah, while being Alm's opposition, was not his foil, but rather he was Celica's. So naturally, the next step was to give him a proper foil for the remake. That is where Berkut comes in.

I had expressed this many times, but a big part of Alm's character (in Echoes at least) is how much he is attached to his own identity as Mycen's grandson. He goes with Lucas and ultimately accepts leading the Deliverance as Mycen's representative (according to what Clive had envisioned). He does what he does to carry on his legacy when Mycen refuses to do so himself, to honor his name and his blood, as he was led to believe all his life. His world shatters as the truth reveals itself.

Berkut, as Rudolf's nephew, was raised to be the next ruler of Rigel. He takes great pride in that, even during his first meeting with Rinea he uses his identity to present his own value. This is interesting when you consider Rudolf's lines in Fire Emblem Heroes, which directly state that Berkut was a shy boy in the past. Also worthy of note would be Rudolf's lv 40 convo in FEH where he admits that he could not bear to face Berkut due to his guilt over sending Alm away (and his overall grand scheme). Growing up in Rigel, the country that it is now, practically run by the extreme teachings of Duma's faith, around the hardened emperor Rudolf who strives towards his own goal for a better Valentia in self-isolation and many of the soldiers and generals following them, it is natural that Berkut would become arrogant and prideful. However what makes him different arround the other high ranking officials in Rigel is that his dependance on being the heir to the Empire is a sign of a deeply neglected inferiority complex. Every time his identity is threatened in the story due to his failures, he seeks attention from Rudolf but to no avail. And at every turn, a Duma faithfull is present to pull him down further, to mock him and use his insecurities for their own agenda of serving Duma. Just like with Alm, his world shatters once the truth reveals itself, the truth neither character can no longer try to deny.

Alm is not allowed to crack, there is no peace for him, only a responsibility he is now forced to bear. He who was raised by Mycen, a former Zofian general with Rigelian origins, is basically told to deal with it, bcuz destiny or whatever. Alm had his friends to fall back on, the friends who followed him bcuz he was Alm of Ram Village, the people who followed him bcuz he proved to be a capable leader of the Deliverence and what he learned growing up with both strength and kindness. So while it was definitely hard to accept his new identity, not being alone (in a sense) and having a clear goal (to reach Celica), made it a bit easier.

But where does Berkut trully crack? Not immediately upon finding out that Alm is Rudolf's son, but when Rinea in his eyes "rejects his identity". Rinea, the kind girl that she is, loved Berkut. But to Berkut, the heir of Rigel's throne, her declaration that she would support him when he is just Berkut, seemed like a betrayal to him. At that moment, he grouped her with everyone else who pitied him. But how can the future Emperor of Rigel be pitied, that is surely not the way things are supposed to be??? And for that, the maddened Duma gave his blessings and strength that Berkut thinks is rightfully his, with the woman he loves by his side. Everyone else is wrong, what he was raised to be however, is correct.

Alm's journey was about a boy who did not think about the big picture at first, forced to expand his horizons as duty is thrust upon him multiple times. He had to grow out of thinking from just his perspective, as a Deliverence member, as a villager from Ram, as Mycen's grandson. Berkut however has chosen to remain narrow-minded, bcuz he had nothing else to fall back on aside from his own identity. And this narrow-mindedness proves to be his downfall, as well as Fernand's (his case is more complex tho) and Jedah's at that matter. Even at death's door, he doesn't suddenly change in that regard. I personally believe that Berkut hallucinates Rinea at the end (well I think that was the intention of the scene since nobody else reacts to Rinea herself), bcuz that reinforces everything that has been established about his character. Yeah he lost, but he is meant for even greater things, at least he thinks that himself.

While Jedah was meant to be the extreme of what Celica could have become if she surrendered herself to Mila's faith, Berkut was meant to be the human equivalent of Duma's extremes, as those extremes had shaped him into what he was. Rudolf ultimately made the right choice to send Alm away, bcuz he easily could have ended up like that, or even worse due to his destiny, when not even Rudolf could have been able to interfere.

"He is carried by his voice actor." I hear many tend to say about him. Well yes in fact, he is, mister Ian Sinclair did a phenomenal job portraying Berkut's charater, and I personally would say his performance is stronger than the one provided by his JP counterpart. Many characters in media are defined by their voices, be it the way they speak or through actual voice acting. So I don't think that saying "he is only good bcuz of his VA" is a real jab at his character imho.

Another thing I noticed is, I believe that in order to get attached to Berkut, you need to be invested either in Alm's character or story to a certain degree at the very least. Which is a testament to how much Berkut is a foil to Alm and how his addition to Echoes' story was a meaningful change.

I do think the Bitsy account is doing too much, but the tickets sells she’s posting are unbelievable. ML's LV shows don’t sell at all. They are practically empty. I know they make money from the concertgoers booking a hotel and gambling, not the ticket sales, but they are definitely losing money with ML. It was a big mistake. I seriously don’t know what they were thinking, she can’t put on an entertaining show if her life depended on it.

I appreciate that after years of BARFs trying to take Gwen’s successes, find anything negative and plaster it everywhere, comment everywhere, that someone is not letting all that just go. She does not use MLs name and there are no media stories (MLs team is good) so I do feel like she’s doing a bunch of work for only a few ranfans, but i mean, not gonna lie, I enjoy it.

Here’s the thing that worries me about both exes… as their relevance fades, how will they lash out as Blake and Gwen. Tell alls designed to make them look like the good bad guys? GR has the boys to leverage and manipulate, so that may be enough for him, but what does ML have? Her life story, which she will twist. That’s all.

[ Deepspace Trial ] Open Orbit prog notes

An informal post on mobile to record some of my thoughts, events and open orbit progression from today.

Thank goodness for the hunting season event rn bc the double rewards drop for any bounty hunt made farming for crystals a little less miserable for up to 30x pulls. Dedicated a lot of stamina for this, but worth it.

Leveled up quite a few memories in order to progress in open orbit stages; currently working on getting [Your Fragrance] to 80 to help with stage 120B.

Finally cleared stage 110 after being stuck on it for weeks. Had to get [Hearts Within Reach] to lv.80 and swapped out a delta protocore for a Crit Rate one after leveling it up to +9. I finally got one from the core farm, even if the substats weren’t the most ideal. The extra crit rate was more helpful than the dmg to weakened one I was previously using. My play was really sloppy imo, but a clear is a clear. I didn’t expect it to end the way it did. See clear video for more detail.

After the hurdle of stage 110 I was able to keep progressing until my next challenge at 113. This stage required 6-emerald memories to match the protofield stellactrum?* it was a frenzied type battle. I leveled up [Close Feelings] from lv 50 to 60 and [Romantic Afternoon] from lv 60 to 70 to gain more ATK stats and used the Hunters Wand. It was easier to use that to damage the frenzy wanderer, even if I can’t focus target it. I just needed to make sure they were all at least grouped up together when I dropped my aoe.

Stage 117 required 6 violet to match the protofield stellactrum, but i opted to not have a perfect match in favor of using Sea God with my highest leveled Rafayel lunars. This was okay because it was a recharge beacon stage, so I just had to make sure the wanderers didn't get close enough to interrupt me.

Currently stuck on stage 120 with the epic bgm. Team 01 requires 6 emerald memories and team 02 requires 6 violet* memories to match protofield stellactrum. I’ve been using the hunters wand with Xavier, which is still a really close fight. Been progging with phantasma sands gun for Rafayel. I don’t have enough damage with around 2 and a half HP bars left by the time the timer runs out. Will make a more detailed post about this later. Currently working on leveling up memories.

I know there’s a spreadsheet out there that documents all the protofield stellactrum for the Deepspace trials, but I would like to keep one on hand here as well since this is my gaming blog. Will do that with source credit.

A special shout out to P-chan again for having faith and believing in me by saying we’re going all the way from stage 110 to 120 today. Because we did and honestly I wouldn’t have made it this far without their help and support. ♡ and appreciate u always. 🌸

Hi there! First of all, I wanted to say how much I appreciate your tumblr and the contents you post. Also, I wanted to know what are your thoughts about what Bellatrix's family response would have been to her relationship with the Dark Lord, assuming they already had a sexual relationship during the First War, assuming her family would in fact acknowledge it: do you believe it is possible that they sensed it (expecially Druella and Cygnus)? Were they judgmental or proud? What about Andromeda and Narcissa?

I do think that Bella and Vold were already sleeping together during the First War, and I like to think that the Blacks did their best to ignore it, but they disapproved in the same way most traditional British families would disapprove of their eldest daughter betraying her husband.

Andromeda would hate it. She would be incredibly upset and also blame Lord Voldemort for corrupting Bella (and we know that's only partially true) and taking her sister away from her. It's my headcanon that if there ever was a confrontation between Bella and Andromeda before/after she ran away, they both accused the other of betraying them. Bella was a blood purist, but He didn't have to turn her into a mistress of the Dark Arts (which Bella would have probably been interested in anyway), in Andromeda's mind. All of this actually goes to show that, despite the love they all held for each other, the Black Sisters didn't understand each other at all.

For the same reasons, Narcissa would probably hate it too. Well, maybe she wouldn't hate it - I don't think of her having such strong opinions about something that didn't affect her personally - but she would look down upon the relationship because what she valued most in the world was traditional family. I think that Bellatrix's betrayal of Rodolphus (and his possible cheating) would read to her as undignified behaviour for purebloods. The Lestranges aren't conventional and she doesn't approve.

Cygnus and Druella are like Cissy. I headcanon that Bella got involved with LV after her marriage, but if he had been her Dark Arts teacher (and lover) before that then they probably would have feared for her reputation. Also, it can't be nice knowing that your young daughter is getting involved with a man 25 years her senior, poor, and a half-blood. Sure, he was the heir of Slytherin, with bright, revolutionary ideas, but until he actually was emperor of the world or whatever they probably wouldn't have approved. Also, I think they disapproved of Bellatrix's role in the war. Not because she got involved with politics but because, instead of being lowkey about it, she decided to become a domestic terrorist, arsonist, and kidnapper.

Did they sense it/find out? Contrary to popular belief/headcanons, I don't think people knew all that much, even amongst the Inner Circle. I can't see book!Bella acting so undignified in public, fawning over him, openly playing the mistress. Sure, she leans towards him "because mere words could not express her longing for closeness" in DH, but that is post-Azkaban Bellatrix who's seen the man literally die. She's lost him (and everything else) for fourteen years, she's got nothing to lose. In the First War, I think that people knew because she told them (her family mostly, meaning the Malfoy/Black/Lestranges). If it had been common knowledge (e.g. Karkaroff, Mulciber, etc. knew about it, they would have definitely used that information at the trials and Dumbledore/Moody/others would know. And I feel we would know if they knew).

I'm a little afraid to answer with my fashion brand thoughts since the last time I did it, I mentioned this Celine jacket for Mile (on Sept 4), and I'm a bit worried I manifested it (vs. Vogue gala Sept 21) at the expense of Cannes, but like...at this point literally what worse thing can happen? Them wearing a sexy shirt that I think would fit their style!? Going to another fancy event dressed up all sexy?! Going to another international film festival that's not Cannes?!

I think Celine and Tom Ford are great classics choices. To the second anon, they do look good in Ralph Lauren too!

RL is kind of preppy for my taste (as someone who had to suffer going to high school in America with people who were dressed in preppy RL clothes), but I think they look great in them. I think an equiv is probably Burberry which they did for their Central Embassy video shoot

One unexpected choice I'd love to see is Versace! @nattaphum was skeptical when I mentioned that when we chatted about it in Sept (and as an Italian who has to look at Versace ... they do have a reputation!) But the way they dressed Apo was so lovely and bold for NewGen Fashion Awards. I'd love to see Mile in some color, and while I can't say I want to wear Versace, I appreciate their continuous choices in bold textures, patterns, and materials.

In terms of just styling, I thought that of LVMH's properties, alongside Celine, Givenchy was a good fit for them style-wise. However, Givenchy is a lot lower of a profile brand than Dior or LV, LVMH's main two fashion houses...so financially Dior was the better offer.

Another designer I would love to see them collaborate with is Nagara, who is considered the preeminent Thai haute couture designer and has designed pieces for the Thai royal family. Apo has actually walked in a number of his shows.

Nagara is also one of those curates-follows kind of IG user, and he follows Apo back! Definitely more than 200 models have walked for him, so you know how special our boys are, always winning the hearts of the professionals around them 🥺

Nagara's specialty is Thai silks and bold patterns. I actually think he does bold patterns more elegantly than any of the top western fashion houses, which are both wearable and visionary.

I really enjoyed this write-up about his work that's now almost 8 years old! I came across it the first time I was doing research about Apo's time as a runway model and had noticed he walked in a number of Nagara shows and that the artistic vision of those shows were top-notch!

Anyway, Dior has...won my good graces back for now, but lord I do not like Kim Jones' Dior.
