Still have "The Epic Knight", Hollow Knight x Epic, bouncing around my head. HK -> Ody, Radiance -> Poseidon. Originally for "Six Hundred Strike" was more directly from the "True Ending" in THK. Shades being crew.

Draft. At some point my thinking switched towards the end of the song. With a sketchier sketch more from the side. Then I decided to push my comfort with the reflection POV.

This just felt too video gamey.

BTS/Self Analysis

I hit my motivation wall on this while trying to make Ody Knight work. I make no attempt to hide the cloak was even more minimalist than how I previously depicted it. Granted, at this point in "the story" it could be excused as just a blanket because his old uniform long ago was worn away.

Tried adding some details that probably don't matter. In these events the Radiance doesn't go full corruption on Ody Knight. So, I kept the eyes black/void. Instead I had Raseidon orange blood splattered around the eyes to show the metaphorical corruption. If I did more work and had more skill, I could have played around with the appearance of it.

Kept with the brush/medium conceit from the other two. Higher Beings, gods, using the paint brush. Using the pen tool for mortals. I believe I fudged this with Athornet.

Slight Raseidon blood splatter on OK's nail. I added some, probably not enough, on Raseidon's chest to mimic the top edge of Poseidon's trident and Radiance's crown. Also to suggest multiple stabs have already happened.

I do like how I was able to handle the edge of blending OK into Raseidon's giant "Sonic Eye".

Heck, I just realized I forgot to make slide changes to the left eye (from our perspective) to make it less obvious that I copied Raseidon's "right" eye instead of doing two complete unique eyes.

Anyways, here concludes Day 449.

Mi habilidad para dibujar es... ugah bugah 😅🤣. Sé que no es la mejor, pero siempre he querido hacerlo, sobre todo desde que descubrí las versiones épicas de Las Cuatro Estaciones de Vivaldi.

Puede que no lo sepan (seguro que no, porque nunca lo he dicho antes), pero puedo imaginar animaciones tridimensionales completas en mi cabeza. Puedo visualizar secuencias enteras con canciones hechas específicamente para ellas, pero no tengo la habilidad para trasladarlas al dibujo o la animación… skill issues 😅.

Desde que escuché estas canciones, he querido al menos diseñar las vestimentas que imagino para mis personajes. Como no sé dibujar bien, el último año me he apoyado en IA—muy a mi pesar—para hacer mis publicidades e ilustraciones, pero quiero cambiar eso. Seguiré usándola como base para obtener una referencia de lo que busco y luego haré Frankensteins con los resultados hasta conseguir lo que quiero. Sin embargo, después de eso, voy a dibujar por mi cuenta con el estilo que pueda lograr, incluso con mi nulo conocimiento en dibujo.

Sé que no será perfecto, pero estoy intentando esforzarme para crear imágenes con más alma y trabajo detrás, aunque sea mínimamente decente. ¡Espero que les guste! ❤

Experimenting with Lopunny

I'm just starting to learn and explore drawing in this style, and here's my take on Lopunny! There's still so much for me to improve, but I'm really enjoying the process and wanted to share it with you all. 💛 I hope you like it! If you have any tips or suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

📝 One of My Favourite Drawing Exercises So Far

During this Week's Practice of the Basics and while working through Brent Eviston’s The Art & Science of Drawing on Skillshare, one exercise really stood out and honestly, it’s changed the way I look at curves and organic shapes.

It starts simply:

→ You draw a curve or organic shape.

→ Then, you break it down into its basic angles, the invisible structure behind the form.

→ Finally, you use those angles as a guide to redraw the curve more accurately and with more intention.

What I love about this is how it trains your eye to see more clearly, not just draw what you think you see. It’s a reminder that behind every complex shape is a series of simple angles and decisions.

This drill helps build both accuracy and confidence especially for someone like me, who’s going back to fundamentals and trying to build a solid foundation from the ground up.

If you’re an artist (beginner or experienced) looking to strengthen your understanding of form, I highly recommend checking out Brent Eviston’s courses on Skillshare. This one clicked with me in a way few exercises have, and I’ll definitely be carrying it into next week’s practice.

Learning to draw Anime
