I've recently read lots of short fics at wattpad and also some of yours from your masterpost, and since I'm new to the fandom, I can't understand one thing... Why it is common among fic authors to picture Sebastian with a "breeding kink"? To be honest, it's really interesting to read them, because they're all well written and beautiful, but why? It's like every character might be anyone with any kind of preferences, but Sebastian is pictured mostly like this? It's a common joke for fun in the fandom and since I'm new I don't get it? :) (sorry for possible mistakes, not a native speaker)

LMAO you're all good lovie ! Honestly, I couldn't tell you why so many people like portraying him like that. For me personally, I like to characterize him in my stories as someone who's possessive, obsessive, and clingy, so him being into the concept of breeding the MC adds a little ✨ oomf ✨ to that. Like she's all his inside and out.

There's also the fact that Sebastian's whole family is basically dead. Anne isn't cured by the end of the game, so there's no chance she could possibly have a kid or safely deliver one without dying (in my opinion). In my one breeding-kink-heavy fic End of the Line, Sebastian outright mentions that he wants to build a legacy and pass on his family name so that it doesn't die with him. So that's also a possible reason the theme is so popular if other writers are taking it into account.

For me, Canon Sebastian vs. Fanon Sebastian are two very different people because I'm always incorporating a few years into my fics to make him older. So he's more sure of himself, more confident, and more in tune with what he wants. If the man wants to turn MC into a twinkie to lay some ultimate claim on her, then by God he's gonna do it

Ultimately I think it boils down to all of us being kinky, weird freaks LOL. Out of all the characters in HL, I think Sebastian is the one who tends to be the most emotional, so that kind of translates into him being the one most willing/inclined to go crazy during sexy time.

not enough TimJay content takes advantage of the fact that the Red Robin mantle and suit were Jason's first, and Tim effectively stole Jason's shit that Jason wanted to throw away. Tim took Jason's name, his suit, to go on a one-man crusade when he's at odds with the Batfamily. You're telling me Jason wouldn't be weirdly offended but also weirdly turned on by that?

And yes, Tim only knows about the Red Robin suit's existence because Ulysses Armstrong stole it for a hot second, but the fact he stole the suit from Ulysses and fucking kept it? Even before he had any reason to? Like before becoming Red Robin, Tim just kept a suit he knew belonged to Jason despite openly disliking Jason for. Reasons. And later on, it's explicitly confirmed Tim's wearing it because it's Jason's legacy? That's the most toxic gay shit I've ever seen.

Tim's punishing himself with Jason's image. Jason, who has been constantly trying to get Tim to see things his way and work with him would lose his mind over that. There's such a potential for a toxic possessiveness to it all, Tim branding himself with Jason's suit and name. The assumptions Jason would make about Tim because of it. The way Jason could hold that over Tim's head, that they really are one and the same, and deep down, Tim must know it to some degree, if he became Red Robin when he felt replaced as Robin. I truly do not think Jason would ever shut up about it. As a fan of 'possessive/weirdly obsessed with Tim' Jason, I think this would take Jason's weird feelings about Tim to the next level. And if Tim will punish himself just by wearing Jason's legacy, imagine how much more he'd punish himself for falling for Jason too. Weird freaky little masochist who tortures himself through Jason seems exactly Jason's type, tbh. I'm feral about it.

Ten years later I'm still grappling with that Leandra scene after her death that Varric quickly admits to his interrogator didn't really happen but he wrote into his book because he believed Hawke deserved that to be said to her in a very dark moment of her life, that he wanted to give her peace. The fact that, while touching to hear from Leandra, these were actually the words Varric wanted to tell her but was a hell of a better writer than comforting friend.

"[...] Taming the shadows with questionable wit. The best of him is still with you. The best of all of us. You will always have that. We will always be family. It'll be alright."

These are the words Varric wanted to tell Hawke. This is the conversation he wanted to have, despite admitting to Hawke when they spoke in person that he "was never really good at this kind of thing". He wanted to tell Hawke, "We will always be family".

He wanted to say, "It'll be alright".

Violette's Boggart

1/ Before the main event in HL, Violette's boggart would be her losing magic. Her mother is a witch but she hadn't shown any signs of magic until she turned 14, she wished to become a witch just like her mother and she was really sad thinking she was born a squib. Finally she got her power and she treasures it so much that she'd try her best to learn hard and catch up with her friends. She didn't want to be magicless again.

After the main event her boggart turned to Victor Rookwood, or more exactly his "inferi" self. She did something she can't forgive herself, and something that she still cannot talk to anyone about it.

2/ Ridikkulus: When she casts Riddickulus it turn into a training dummy wearing a Rookwood's hat. Is it funny? Maybe... But Violette still cannot overcome that fear...not for now...

My strangest malevolent crossover ideas, in no particular order:

H2O: Just add water (the possibilities are endless. Arthur wakes up on mako. Arthur wakes up IN the moon pool on a full moon. It’s specifically just having a guy clearly in the horror genre crashing into a teen drama.)

Legacies (This one is kinda out there. Takes place in S1 of legacies; Arthur is mistaken for a monster trying to steal the first key to Malivore/he IS actually there to take the key bc Kayne. Bonus points if someone can hear/sense John and the similarities between the Dark World and Malivore are recognized)

Ink Masters (Look. I have no good explanation other than I was watching a lot of this show last week. Anyway they run a duo shop/Arthur tattoos and John guides him. They’re great for TV because they fight constantly, but also stay in the competition a really long time because they’re good at what they do and (obviously) are connected on a level no one else can match)

Bridgerton (literally exactly the type of place Kayne would send them. He’d be laughing his ass off. Another genre combo!!! POV the biggest gala of the season is happening and this random guy with a pistol, several scars, and a feral look in his eye stumbles in through the gardens. He says he’s new in town)

Lacy's family – because I realised there's no point in not sharing even if it's old, lmao.

Her parents are both very questionable people, seeing as her mother works for the Ministry and her father... is pretty insane. They're high school sweethearts. (During their formative years ⬇️ (continues below the cut).

OK the cut was supposed to be here, but it lagged again and I refuse to format this shit again, so just imagine there's a cut here, please.

Diwa is Lacy's mother, a well-versed and exceptionally skilled Auror - as well as a seer versed in legilimency - who was known for her aptness and prowess primarily during independent errands. Her austere demeanour, however, doesn't overshadow her salient fortitude and profound benevolence. Preoccupied with her hectic and high-risk career, she was scarcely ever home, leaving her childeren to her (often unstable) husband. However, this does not denote that she wasn't conscientiously trying to appertain insight on her childrens lives outside of visions sending owls almost every day to check in.

Caspian is Lacy's father, 'stay at home dad', and physician (for both muggles and wizards since he believes everyone deserves to be healthy no matter their blood status), the Hamlet closest to their cottage had resorted to calling him "the witch doctor," not being aware of him being a wizard, but since he can allegedly 'cure all'. Whilst on first encounters, he may come across as timid and reserved. Caspian is actually much more ascetic and vindictive - traits that aren't often foreseen on the surface - causing him to often neglect his childeren in pursuit of his personal desires which he formerly had to abstain for his wife, so she could aim to follow her goals instead. He later perished due to an illness that had seemingly came from a virulent curse.

Lacy's older brother— he's kind of just an ass...

Jacob is Lacy's older brother by five years, with an infamous notoriety around Hogwarts for his complex behaviour and obtrusive temper. He is radical, not shying away from the unkown or illicit, and seeing magic as a way to obtain his perilous goals without regard for anyone around him except his sister - justifying his questionable research about the dark arts, among extensive experiments with necromacy as an chivalrous service to bring his family back together. During his fifth year, Jacob became increasingly more neurotic which preceded his assumed, yet rather inevitable death when he vanished at the end of the semester.

I have an AU with him that takes place before Lacy gets admitted into Hogwarts (I'll share the character art for that another time). Since giving her an infamous evil brother makes it kinda hard not to have an AU where everyone already knows about the Lovette's before Lacy even joins Hogwarts 😭.

☆ Don't worry–He doesn't have an older brother complex, just daddy issues and an insatiable loneliness that can only be cured by his little sister's smile.

Also, he's very much dead. The only thing missing is his decomposing corpse.

☆ Her family isn't necessarily made up of dark wizards 😭 They're more like evil scientists with a very questionable moral agenda, but they don't actively go out murdering people.

☆ Lacy's mother used to work together with Uncle Solomon before he left the Auror division, but Diwa was... not very amicable towards him— so when Lacy introduces herself to the poor man in the game, he'd probably suffer from a few unpleasant flashbacks.

☆ Despite the horrors, Lacy loves her parents and brother very much. She can forgive the countless crimes :)
