alisson: the collector. will stay up till the ungodly hours a the night to catch a rare bug cause he thinks time traveling is cheating.

luka: mostly jus interacting w his villagers. he gifts them clothes n furniture every day n feels guilty when he goes a week without playing n all his villagers are like “where were you we missed you!!! :0″ he also spends a lotta time decorating his house.

sergio: bullies his villagers. thwaks em w the net, digs holes around their houses, that kinda stuff. buys expensive furniture n sends it to luka in an attempt to woo him (has yet to be successful)

trent: goes to his friends islands n absolutely TERRORIZES them. chops down trees, digs holes, etc etc

robbo: trents victim who never learns

mbappe: his island is almost entirely made up of a giant ass soccer field he made himself. his lil character wears a custom designed ronaldo jersey. hasnt spoken to his villagers in months.

klopp: mostly just visits his boys’ islands to water their plants n admire their handiwork :))

24. What is an alternative life path your OC might have gone down? How different would their life be if they'd made those decisions?

Oh so many choices! I'm gonna go with 'what if Leo had stayed Bryce Brilliant'.

Firstly. He'd be fucking miserable LMAO. Staying the Star would mean staying under his mother's control. You cannot be yourself, you are a caricature of someone (of yourself), you will not ever be yourself (is there even a real Leo?).

Secondly. Without a good support system (Johanna), I think he'd get more and more self-sacrificing really quickly. Does that mean he'd still have ended up possessed? Idk, hard to say.

I feel like I'd have retired him - or just lost him - by now if he had stayed under his mother's thumb.

14. How does your OC want to be seen by other characters?

ah the bread and butter of the Masks: a New Generation system. Who are you? How do people perceive you? How do you perceive yourself? How do you want to be perceived?

Starbright wants to be seen as a hero, not a freak, not a danger to his surroundings.

Leo Ortiz, however, wants to be mundane, he want's to be just some guy. He never truly cared about being a hero (being a savior), it was a job, it was something that was forced on him by his mother. Instead he is a freak, and if he sneezed to hard he could probably hurt someone (don't get any ideas there luuk 🫵).

7. What's one way your OC has changed since you first came up with them?

Well the obvious one is that he changed playbooks, twice. Starting off as the Star, then became the Protege, now in his (hopefully) final form as the Nova.

Leo is a completely different person and yet he is the same.

25. What is your favorite thing about your OC?

He seems more complicated than he is! Leo isn’t complicated at all he’s just contradicting himself constantly. He wants one thing but he wants the other thing actually.

It’s really fun to play.

25. What is your favorite thing about your OC?

In the other ask I answered: his height, but there’s many things i love about River.

One of my other favourite things about River is how important his relationships with other people are. I didn’t intend for him to be so close to people but he is, he loves people.

leo: his eyes widen by half (.5) a millimeter.

ney: jumps ten feet in the air, lets out a high-pitched scream, n adamantly denies it when its brought up later.

luis: immediately punches whoevers next to him. like without even thinking. its his genuine fear response.

luka: at first he covers his face n lets out a quiet lil squeal, then when the adrenaline wears off he starts swearing in croatian.

alisson: poor lad. hes already pretty anxious, so if one of his teammates scare him as a prank he'll be shaken up for a couple hours afterwards.

paulo: hes dragged to some kinda haunted house attraction or something, n every time someone jumpscares him he jus,,, screams back at them. yknow, like a psychopath.

sergio: essentially (and loudly) rattles off every swear that exists, in english and spanish! if its a person that scared him, he will grab em n threaten em in that,,, special way only he knows.

muller: this man. lets out the most ear bleeding, glass shattering, LOUDEST fuckin scream ever recorded in human history, all bc he saw a bug or some shit.

erling: fight or flight kicks in n his ass chooses FLIGHT. books it outta there fast enough to break the sound barrier. may or may not end up knocking a few ppl over in his hurry.

mourinho: oh you gotta be careful with him. hes so genuinely high-strung that a good scare runs the risk of sending him into cardiac arrest (it is for this reason that all horror movies are off the table when the roma players do movie night).
