#sims 4#the sims community#simblr#ts4#sims 4 edit#mysims#drawing/editing these tears took actual years off my life#editing this in general did but the tears were my hell#her name is norma jean named after her grandmother but she goes by either jeanie or jj#she works at the local convenience store and bartends at night when shes able to pick up shifts#shes the worst bartender in existence and refuses to lift anything over 2 pounds#she once convinced a customer to buy her a sweater because she looked a little cold while working#she lied and said her manager never lets them turn on the heat and casually mentioned pennys was selling her favorite sweater#and then described in detail exactly where the sweater was in the store#all she had to do was blink her big brown eyes and call them baby a few times and they immediately folded#she goes to church 7 days a week even though she hates it because that's what she did when her mom was still alive#and its one of the few things that helps her feel close to her mom#her mom died after she had to drop out of highschool to take care of her#she holds a lot of resentment for having to give up such a big part of her life#but at the same time blames herself for not being able to make her mom better#she doesnt believe in banks and hides money around her house to store it but she's also super forgetful#she'll randomly find money around the house and then treat herself like it was present she meant to leave for her future self#she loves crosswords but treats it like a fun game and refuses to check if her answers are ever right#there's ur fun little facts about jeanie 🫵🏼

Gohan being the first one to step between Vegeta and Certain Death, twice, without an ounce of hesitation, and Vegeta saving him back despite his feelings about battle intervention.
Vegeta knowing Gohan's the best of all of them
Vegeta and Gohan both born prodigies assigned an unfair amount of responsibility to be Great and be a Saiyan Messiah(tm) way too young by a stubborn and proud if not (relatively) well-meaning father who didn't see any other option and I just think Gohan doesn't get enough credit as like. The first serious muscle behind Geets' personal growth.

I've been giving it the benefit of being a TV show and him probably working off adrenaline but still how the HELL did Sieun carry A GYM WEIGHT AND A FIRE HYDRANT WITH A BROKEN ARM before SLAMMING IT INTO PEOPLE???
I've had a broken wrist. I know how painful it is to lift things while dealing with fractured bones and his bones had to be fractured at least with how hard Yeongbin hit him and the fact he is WEARING A CAST.

I started watching the Pitt last night and I'm up to episode 4. Through every moment of the show, my thoughts cycle through 2 thoughts going back and forth like a very slow pong game.
I know these terms, I know these conditions, I know these staff members and these patients and it makes me feel uncomfortably seen through an outsiders gaze.

#the Pitt#adventures in nursing#I really impressed how well I'm keeping up with all the terminology#I fully understand I'm gonna say 75% and mostly understand 95% just with the caveat I don't personally do a lot of those things#I've guessed causes and treatments for a lot of the patients who roll in based on report and presentation#wish there was more nursing rep like docs are critical but nurses do soooo much of the heavy lifting that we don't quite see represented#but otherwise yeah its like this#also yes! sometimes a 12 hr shift feels like an entire fucking season

I can't explain why, but all of dw's "the two doctors" feels like fanfic. I don't mean in terms of writer indulgence or bringing back old characters (tho there certainly is that), but the dialogue and pacing have that sort of amateurish feel in a way that's separate to a typical mediocre television.
#btw this isn't a post against fic I like it.#it feels similar to that observation of how some fanfic feels more cinematic than literary. e.g. framing and perspective shifting#because occasionally the author is lifting what they're familiar with from film and tv not other books.#wheras this feels like it existed as an expanded universe comic or novel first that was 1:1 adapted for screen. but it wasn't.#I haven't even rewatched it lately I just woke up thinking about the two doctors

#like he’s generally lovely and kind#he gives me a free lift every week on a 1.5hr round trip#to a shared hobby#but gods there is only so much i can take of him complaining about woke#it’s not every week#but it’s also often enough to frustrate me#sir you played with lead as a child and worked 12hr+ overnight shifts for various jobs#that is no longer the case due to ‘woke’ (he thinks health and saftey is over the top as well)#can’t wait to learn to drive#most of the old people i know are chill#theres a lovely lady who i ended up chatting about a book that has a gay love story in it#there’s a guy who wasn’t quite sure what my gender was to begin with so used they/them which was sweet#i’m fairly sure there’s another who knows i’m trans but has been polite enough to not out me to others or even misgender me once#but yeah just needed to rant
