" Uranography " contains the live recording of one of the two concerts presented during the 15th MANCA festival (Musiques Actuelles Nice Côte d'Azur) directed by Michel REDOLFI in November 1993 at the prestigious venue of the Nice Astronomical Observatory, under the big Bischoffsheim dome wich was constructed by Charles Garnier, the architect of the Paris Opera House, and Gustave Eiffel.

The astronomers, who are currently still work in this historical site and Philippe Delache, the director of the Observatory, had given us permission to install our complete studio in the venue one week in advance of the concerts, and to make use of the place just about day and night. Very detailed technical preparations as well as hours of improvisation under the dome resulted in close to perfect conditions for the two concerts.

A multi-diffusion system made the music circulate around the walls of the Observatory, wich meant that the sound virtually enveloped both the audience and the musicians.

A common type of freighter from Star Trek: The Next Generation. The same model was used for the Sanction in "Symbiosis," the Erstwhile in "The Outrageous Okona," and the Arcos in "Legacy" (and in different configurations it portrayed additional ships in further episodes). The physical model was created by Greg Jein and Bruce MacRae, and a computer-generated model was created by Douglas E. Graves to replace missing footage when the latter two episodes were remastered. That digital model probably formed the basis for these images credited to Fabio Passaro from Eaglemoss' Official Starships Collection.

The Ships of the White Star Fleet

I've been working on a detailed 3D model of the White Star, and I wanted to create a simple bridge interior to be visible through the windows. That got met into quite a rabbit hole examining the episodes for variations and revisions, which I haven't seen discussed much before. I've put together some comparisons here. Full details are on my blog.

During season 3, the White Star bridge set was being continually revised, from "Matters of Honor," when it didn't even have a captain's chair and the standing consoles had weird bony railings around them up through "Walkabout," where the last minor revision was made. That makes sense in-universe since the White Star was a prototype that was being tested in use, so it adds up that between episodes the Minbari were taking it into the shop and adjusting it.The ships of the White Star Fleet

For season 4, the set was redesigned to be a bit more expansive, and also had several features added that could be modified to represent different ships, mostly by changing the colors of different lit elements. There were also some computer screens that were swapped out with different images, and "celtic knot" designs which were mounted above the main door to the bridge (and elsewhere on the ship). There's also a detailed blog post specifically about these.The "Celtic Knot" symbols for various White Stars

Altogether, I identified at least nine different White Stars used in seasons 4 and 5 (and A Call to Arms). There could be more, in the blog post I go into more detail about how I decided when similar ships in different episodes were probably the same one.

Been experimenting with a software called MagicaVoxel, which lets you draw 3D pixel art. These are some practice models I made with the software and tried to render them in different 3D programs as well.

On November 5, 1983, the final episode of "Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends" aired. S.H.I.E.L.D. enlisted Spider-Man, Iceman, and Firestar to capture Iceman's half-sister Lightwave. i want to bring lightwave AKA aurora dante back into marvel media! she was seen in spider-man and his amazing friends - season 3, episode 08!

i redesigned her outfit and added onto her powers. she now has the ability to crystallize her body and refract powerful light through her crystalized form! she still has her original backstory, working with S.H.I.E.L.D., becoming manipulated and hypnotized by one of the agents to do his criminal bidding.

breaking free from this control with the help of her half-brother, iceman AKA bobby drake and his amazing friends, she was able to defeat the agent with them and clear her name.

aurora can be so much more than what marvel is doing with her right now, which is literally nothing. i want to change that. starting from today, i will do my absolute best to spread the lightwave agenda!!

please help me on my journey to bring her back! any little bit of sharing and honestly, just talking about her can do SO much!
