I have a question what were Annie's og parents like(i mean she was willing to run away with five aliens to be her fathers instead so I don't think they might have been the best😬) or maybe they're dead and were good people idk

A lot of the lore is actually written by @sweetpeaches666, who may be tagged under sugarbutterfly432, thanks to Annie technically being a 3 way OC lmao. There has been nothing solidly concrete about Annie's OG parents beyond the fact that she doesn't know her ancestry and she's had many foster homes AND orphanages to live in (plus it'd also be easier legal wise for the Andromeda 5 to adopt her if she isn't officially someone else's kid at the time)

It's actually why she does ballet, one of her foster mothers wanted to recreate her failed dream, turns out it breeds resentment and a lot of running away :P

What can be said is that Annie's been many different homes and in a constant state of transitioning between them, a prime example of being a refunded kid and all that, something something No Roots by Alice Merton yada yada 'oh no that's relatable'. Her birth parents one way or another have never been in her life, though regardless of what actually happened Annie will always believe that they left her behind like like everyone else did :P

ok, i havent been as freaked out as others, and have been a firm believer in what the 2 years of planned content meant (that 2 years was, well, all that was initially planned, and that doesnt mean the game would just be abandoned afterwards. they would just venture into territory beyond initial planning) ive been very firm and weirdly hopeful in my belief that there Will be more. regardless ive just realized, are we not still currently within the realm of the "two years of planned content" for splatoon 3...? i get that sizzle season trailer was really late but now im like hey man. havent even hit year 2 yet, its ok guys. next season however i suppose would be the time to worry, as that will officially mark the two year anniversary. that, and some of the catalog items (a title set "thank you for" and "playing") and the final image in the catalog feeling very much send off-y, big adjustments to a ton of maps ... it cant help but feel like its gearing up to an end -.- blehh ... the finite lifespan of an online game. i think essentially i wanted to say ive always had faith that 2 years wouldnt be the end but now i am Actually scared. i dont WANT the new switch i dont want splatoon 4 i dont want a final fest to happen any time soon. grrrr ......... new consoles .......

Okay! I woke up with what I'd call moderate pain today, BUT I had mobility back! So I've fucking really cleaned most of my house, and I'm very proud of myself. I even mopped all the floors, cleaned the air filters, patched a few holes in the wall, and aired out the rugs outside! (Plus, I had 2 meetings and wrote a letter of recommendation for a grant too - all today!!!) But y'all. There were dishes from December that I hadn't gotten to.

Now, in my defense, 9 months ago, I experienced the worst traumatic event of my life so far, didn't start really processing it until November, then in December-January, I had meningitis and back to back contracts out of town, in March I finally got the clear from the event 9 months ago, then since then I've been in (more) back to back contracts out of town plus teaching/grading/school. So I've been having a real rough go of it, and I think that's fine today is when I got to some things.

There's still more to do like put away all my laundry, so I can pack for this 3 week trip. I'll probably get to that tonight and the few utensils left I need to clean. I also have a larger to-do list of fixing some drawer handles, painting the wall patches then rehanging a hook, organizing my earrings that are a MESS, and a closet to organize. But overall, I'm pleased. Very pleased.

Today is a good day. Even if I mopped myself into my living room on accident when I planned to shower while the floors dried, so I'm on Tumblr making a dear diary post while I wait.

idk theres something about makotos overarching character arc being that he basically decided to devote his whole self into doing something he loves (being an idol and being part of trickstar) and sticking with it even when it consistently drags him outside of his comfort zone

parallels with his modelling career where he was also repeatedly pulled outside of his comfort zone, but in ways where he was being taken advantage of, where it was done to the detriment of his own self, something he wished he could escape from but circumstances prevented him from doing so until he reached a breaking point and physically could not continue anymore.

now he's constantly being pushed to do things like take charge, assert himself, and gain self-confidence, even when he doesn't quite feel comfortable in doing so. he fights back when he doesn't think he's being valued as a human being with his own desires and wants. every time he's pushed out of his comfort zone, it's for his own benefit - and even if it isn't, he finds a way to put a positive spin on it. and most importantly (to me anyways), he does this all while pursuing his dream of becoming an idol, something that doesn't come as naturally to him as modelling did, something he still feels inadequate about and is unsure he even has the talent for. but he works his ass off to be an idol despite the fact that he can quit anytime BECAUSE he loves the new path he's chosen so much

This is gonna sound so extremely pathetic and sad but I met a dear friend today and hugged them and I was so startled by it like the height difference took me by surprise despite not forgetting about it but I have hugged only like my mom n my aunt (and just a couple inches taller than me) and a while ago my grandma for Quite A Long While so I literally lost practice regarding interacting with people 🧍 I cursed within earshot of their parents bc i kept forgetting I couldn't n I had to keep reminding myself to not lay down bc i wasn't at home n to speak to them n not only my sister n the fact that there were more ppl present..
