Road to Mastery

Today was not off to the hardest start but man I am so proud of myself and how I bounced back. Recently I have learned that in my journey of healing, just because I miss the mark on one thing does not mean I have to “rinse” the entire today.

Went to the range after work and let me tell you, after playing golf for over 15 years, today was the most intentional practice I ever had.

I spoke to a friend and attempted to put this in laymen’s terms lol. With every ball I was clear about what exactly I wanted to feel and intentional improve on. Having done this I found success in hitting my version of a perfect shot.

It was at this point my mind was telling me, “we are good, let’s call it a day”. Nahhhhhh GAWDID!

God presented me an opportunity to lock in and I am so happy I made the decision to do so. I am so proud of myself in continuing to practice with intentionality despite getting the result I want, because I remembered the idea that in this game, I don’t want to just be able to hit the ball well sometimes… I want to be able to hit the ball well “all the time” jk more times haha.

In summation, even when you get it. The effort and act of getting good reps in helps in the journey to mastery!
