For those who are interested about why I don’t stream on Kick. It’s because Kick’s staff are utterly vile and encourage the worst possible behaviour.
A streamer hired a sex worker and live streamed their interaction on a couch without her consent, Kick’s co-founder was in chat encouraging the behaviour while viewers called her every slur under the sun. Thankfully she received a text before informing her and left, and the guy was arrested.
But holy fuck, this is why I would never stream on Kick. I do not give a shit about better revenue split or whatever, there’s no fucking way I’d ever want to force viewers to watch me there.
Because of stuff like this.
Fiona is an amazing content creator. Former Achievement Hunter at Rooster Teeth, G4 Programing and has had several independent productions under her belt.
But she isn't good enough.
Just because you are a PoC, LGBTQ+ and female does not mean you will have a better chance on Twitch.
So what does this have to do with Sapnap?
He did talk to the CEO about his concerns. He had stipulations. He cut a deal.
He had made Kick install guidelines that can make it better for his community. A real competitor for Twitch instead of the shittier alternative. Just imagine if Kick becomes viable. All the Twitch streamers are going to look at their contracts and reconsider.
That they get the 30% of the revenue they work for. That they have to beg for subs AND run ads AND ask for donos too instead of just streaming content people want to see.
Like, how many people were on board when JustinTV was a thing. Bit of a free-for-all in content. It was no different than Kick.
So we are in a situation in which a new platform has come in as a challenger. If they too want the quality of creators that Twitch has, they will evolve to make that space. to whatever benefits them the most.
As to the attack on Sapnap personally, that he should ask Dream what to do or that because he is a cis white male, he doesn't care that his community will be uncomfortable there.
Come off it. Really?
People still sleep on Sapnap and treat him poorly: Calling him a 3rd wheel to DNF and saying he can't do anything without Dream's help.
Sapnap has actually accomplished more ON HIS OWN, as a content creator, than Dream or George. Certainly has streamed more. He is more of a variety streamer. He is the one that is a co-owner at NRG. He still codes his MC videos. He just broke the record for the fastest checkmate in the POGchanps tournament. He is currently tied for his MCC wins. Squidcraft 2 Champion. Plays violin and had top grades in school…
And It pisses me off that people just don't see him, unless its in relation to what Dream and George are doing.
He's a grown man making a business deal. He got them to change their ToS, IN ONE DAY! Cause he knows his community wants a safe space. If he wants to instill that change. I wish him luck.
Want to watch these two trapped in an apartment together? Do you think they'll go crazy and hate each other? NOW YOU CAN WITH THE POWER OF THE SIMS 4! I'll be making Wukong and Shawn for a MEGA 8 hour stream today and will be streaming on Kick and on Twitch for all 8 hours!
Streaming Helldivers 2 on Kick! Let's spread the butter of Democracy across the bread of the Terminid scourge and liberate the worlds in the name of FREEDOM!!!
So, somehow, I am just now hearing about people turning against Sapnap because he moved to Kick.
After looking up the controversy around kick, I have decided that I am going to continue streaming on kick. Why?
Because we in the LGBTQ+ community are so much more powerful than we think. If we band together, we can take over Kick and turn it into a safe space for our people, or at least create safe spaces within it (like we did with every other social media website).
Just because Sapnap is streaming on there now doesn't mean he supports gambling. Most of the content on Kick has nothing to even do with gambling. As for our community, Sapnap's channel will always be a safe space for our people, no matter the platform. Not once have I ever seen or heard Sapnap say anything against us. He's always been an ally. If he wasn't, he wouldn't be friends with Karl (asexual) or Chris from Mr Beast's channel (MTF transgender).
Hell, most of the creators on there are allies! The only reason that Kick seems like an unsafe place is because the people who got banned on youtube, twitch, etc are going over there and haven't been caught yet. The website and it's creators aren't bigoted, the hateful viewers are. Fortunately, us creators have the power to ban people from our chats, but it won't always be enough.
That is why, as I said before, if we can get more LGBTQ+ people on Kick, then we can overpower those haters and make Kick a better place. Once we're powerful enough, we can force the people running Kick to make better rules and functions to protect us.
My channel will always be a safe-haven for anyone in the minorities, no matter the platform!
LET'S START A FUCKING RIOT!
Well, my last stream went as well as it could go. I figured out the map I was using (while fantastically made) was in 4k which made my computer chug a bit and would just crash my comp.
Another weird quirk is that, even though I have installed everything correctly, my game is popping up about installing the 4GB patcher. Not a huge step back but it will be annoying. Maybe I'll check out the nexus page and see what's what.
I'll still have to edit some things and change my mod list. Hopefully things go well! Stay tuned!

Title: A Temporary Pause: Navigating Life's Challenges Beyond the Stream
In the world of online streaming, consistency is often key. Viewers eagerly anticipate regular broadcasts, eagerly awaiting the next gaming adventure or lively conversation. However, life has a way of throwing unexpected obstacles in our path, disrupting even the most carefully laid plans. As I reflect on the past few months, I find myself compelled to share with you, my dear viewers, the reasons behind my absence from the streaming platform Kick.
In recent times, my journey has been marked by a series of trials, each one testing my resilience and resolve in its own unique way. It all began with my son's surgery, a daunting experience that consumed my attention and emotions. As any parent can attest, seeing your child undergo such a procedure is nothing short of heart-wrenching. My days were spent at the hospital, my mind consumed with worry and prayer for his speedy recovery.
Just as we began to regain our footing, another challenge presented itself. I fell ill, unexpectedly sidelined by a stubborn illness that refused to loosen its grip for three long weeks. As I lay confined to bed, my thoughts drifted to the community I had built on Kick, the friends and supporters who had become an integral part of my streaming journey. How I longed to return to the screen, to share laughter and camaraderie once more.
But life, relentless in its unpredictability, had more in store for me. Tragedy struck our family with the passing of loved ones, casting a shadow of grief and sorrow over our hearts. Coping with loss is never easy, and each day became a battle to find solace amidst the pain.
In the midst of these trials, I found myself grappling with the challenge of getting my life back on track. The demands of everyday responsibilities weighed heavily on my shoulders, leaving little room for the activities I once cherished. And so, with a heavy heart, I made the difficult decision to step back from streaming for a time.
To my dear viewers, I want to extend my sincerest apologies for my prolonged absence. Your unwavering support and understanding mean more to me than words can express. While I cannot say with certainty when I will return to streaming on Kick, please know that I am still here, cheering on my fellow streamers from the sidelines, celebrating their successes and offering words of encouragement.
In the meantime, I hope you'll join me in some casual gaming sessions with friends. Though my presence may be less pronounced, my passion for gaming and community remains as strong as ever. Together, we will navigate these turbulent waters, emerging stronger and more resilient on the other side.
Thank you for your patience, your understanding, and your unwavering support. Until we meet again, take care, stay safe, and remember that we are stronger together.
