Fuente: CBAT  Mirelle Leite da Silva (Projeto Atletismo Campeão-PE) y Vinícius de Carvalho Alves (Orcampi-SP) ganaron el título en 3.000 m obstáculos en la primera etapa del Campeonato Brasileño Interclubes Loterias Caixa Sub-23,  este viernes 15 de septiembre en Bragança Paulista. El concurso se desarrolla en el Centro Nacional Loterías Caixa de Desenvolvimento do Atletismo (CNLCDA) hasta el domingo (17/9) y el billete es de un kilo de alimentos no perecederos. TV Atletismo Brasil transmite el evento en vivo, por el canal de YouTube del CBAt.  Mirelle Leite, indígena de la etnia Xucuru, ganó los 3.000 metros con obstáculos en 10:53.2, celebró su tercer campeonato brasileño Sub-23 y el oro, pero tiene un mejor tiempo en la carrera. "Estaba contenta con el título y el tri, pero hacía mucho viento y eso estorbó un poco. No pude repetir mis 9:56", dijo sobre la competencia. La medalla de plata fue para Amanda de Souza Silva (CASO-DF), con 11:42.37 y la medalla de bronce, para Milena Gomes da Silva (CAES-ES), con 11:54.69. I Didn't Break the Lamp: Interview with M. Lopes da Silva

Today’s interview is with M. Lopes da Silva, who had a story in Utter Fabrication in 2017 and is back with a story for I Didn’t Break the Lamp!

DV: Tell us a bit about yourself!

M. Lopes da Silva: I am a bisexual, medieval-aged author and artist from Los Angeles. I love folk and fairy tales, and end up putting elements from them in just about everything I make. I write hope, punk, and horror. “Nimble” is some of the hope.

DV: What inspired you to write “Nimble” for I Didn’t Break the Lamp?

MLdS: “Nimble” is a fictionalization of something I’ve had to do recently in real life–learn how to be kind to myself. I spent a lot of my 20s beating myself up over not attaining “normal” life goals (a consistent/consistently-paying job, a healthy relationship, etc.), which was cruel, and only made my mental health worse. Actively being kind and patient with myself has helped me grow emotionally stronger, and continues to benefit me. I have more energy to create, and I’m able to be there for others (as well as myself).

Also, it gets harder to make new friends as an adult. Your time becomes structured in a very precise way, and everybody is just slightly more tired and less motivated to hang out with each other. Adult relationships are hard! They require extra work. And when a friend moves away, sometimes you lose touch with them for years. “Nimble” is about a character who is experiencing the fragility of adult friendships while dealing with a toxic work environment and her own mental health hangups.

Oh, and the part where the protagonist goes temporarily blind because she worked too hard? That happened to me in college, twice. I was working on an MFA in animation while freelancing, and my body was being very sensible and shutting down when it reached its limits, but I was still pushing. I don’t do that anymore.

DV: Your main character names their imaginary acquaintance “Nimble” very quickly. What made you choose Nimble’s name?

MLdS: Names are the most woo-woo part of writing for me–very mysterious! My brain usually gloms onto a sound or word right away when I think about a character, and Nimble’s name came very quickly to me. If I were to guess, I’d say it came from a mental synthesis of “cumulonimbus” and “Jack Be Nimble”.

DV: What rituals or routines do you have around your writing process?

MLdS: I try not to ritualize too heavily, but I tend to get most of my writing done on a miniature collapsible desk I use in bed. I can write adequately at a table or desk, and sometimes I go to a library or coffee shop to spice up the scenery, but it’s always nice to write a draining paragraph and then collapse dramatically against some pillows afterwards. Do recommend.

DV: If you had an imaginary friend growing up, what was their name, and what were they like?

MLdS: When I was a kid I didn’t have an imaginary friend, but was really into the concept and wanted one for myself, so I made one up. I spent a couple weeks pointedly talking to people about my imaginary friend, only to forget consistent details like … their name. Or what they looked like. So I guess I had an imaginary imaginary friend.

DV: What’s on the horizon for you?

MLdS: Right now I’m working on a feminist slasher novella set in the 80s (I love to write horror). I recently published a 3-page comic about a witch dealing with a flood titled “The Night the Sea Came In” (you can read it for free online in Enchanted Conversation’s first all-comics issue). And a short story that I wrote about witch mechanics (“Witchcanix”) who convert magical creatures into cool tech is coming out soon from Microcosm Publishing. And there’s oodles more! I’m always working on something fun.

A Oi/Telemar repassou essa verba para empresas em que Suassuna e Lulinha eram proprietários. Os investigadores desconfiam que parte dessa verba foi usada para a compra do sítio de Atibaia. O ex-presidiário Lula já foi condenado em 1ª e 2ª instância pelo caso envolvendo o imóvel. O petista foi condenado a 17 anos de prisão. A descoberta ocorreu durante as buscas e apreensões realizadas para investigar as relações de Lulinha com empresas do setor de telecomunicações. A operação foi deflagrada em 10 de dezembro e teve como alvo pessoas ligadas a Lulinha, entre elas o próprio Jonas Suassuna. Gran nivel de los u18 de Brasil en los Juegos de la Juventud

Fuente: CBAT Un excelente nivel para la categoría u18 tuvieron los Juegos de la Juventud del Comité Olímpico Brasileño, cuyas competencias de atletismo culminaron en la pista de la Fuerza Aérea Brasileña, en Pirassununga (SP) este lunes 4 de septiembre.  Vinicius de Brito había fijado el récord sudamericano u18 de los 110 metros con vallas con 13.20, mientras que Paulo Henrique Pedroso Batista ganó con 10.2 manual en los 100 metros (mejor marca del historial con dicho cronometraje). En la última jornada la dupla de Araçatuba, São Paulo, Alessandro Borges Soares y Alberto Rodrigues dos Santos Filho volvieron al podio en lanzamiento de bala. Alessandro ganó con 20,00 y Alberto le escoltó con 19,90 m. Ambos superaron el récord del campeonato que ostenta Luiz Fernando Matías, con 19,10 m, desde 2015. Arthur Amorim Ferreira Santiago (MT) ganó la medalla de bronce (17,38). Alberto ganó y Alessandro fue tercero en lanzamiento de disco en los Juegos de la Juventud del domingo (3/9). Ambos integran la selección brasileña que viajará a Lima, Perú, para el certamen Iberoamericano de Atletismo Sub-18, del 15 al 17 de septiembre. Hakelly de Souza Maximiano da Silva (FOTO), que compitió por Río de Janeiro, ganó los 200 m con 24,64 (1,7). Letícia Evelyn Lopes (PR) ganó la medalla de plata (24,82) y Grazielly Kamilly Vanderlei Sena (SP) el bronce (25,12). Hakelly, de 14 años, natural de Macaé y que se inició en el atletismo hace casi un año -aún está aprendiendo-, también ganó el oro en los 100 m. Fue campeona de las dos pruebas más rápidas de la competición, como en el Campeonato Brasileño Sub-18, realizado en Aracaju, en agosto, cuando surgió mostrando un gran potencial. "Estoy muy feliz porque gané aquí los 100 y 200 m, como lo hice en los Nacionales de Brasil. Quiero agradecer a mi entrenador, a los patrocinadores y a todos los que están conmigo", dijo Hakelly.  La velocista fue descubierto por el profesor Hiller Franco, en el Programa de Atletismo de Macaé, un proyecto socioeducativo desarrollado fuera del horario escolar, en colaboración entre el CIEP 455 Maringá, las Secretarías de Educación y Deportes del Municipio de Macaé, patrocinado por Etesco, una offshore empresa del sector Petróleo. “Entrenamos en la cancha del colegio y en los alrededores, en plazas y en la playa”, comentó el docente.  El campeón de los 200 m masculino fue el paranáense Matheus Gerônimo Gama, con 21,63 (1,5), su mejor marca personal. "La carrera fue muy buena, disfruté la carrera. Soy mejor en los primeros 150 my todavía tengo que mejorar, pero este es mi primer oro nacional este año y estoy muy feliz de haber hecho mi mejor marca personal. Gracias al profesor Giberto Miranda, del IPEC, a todos los entrenadores y al equipo”, dijo. Matheus es fanático del brasileño Renan Gallina, de 19 años, también de Paraná, que tiene marca de 20,12 en los 200 m. Denio Avila Oliveira Alexandre (CE) ganó la medalla de plata (21,77) y Vinícius de Brito (SC), que ganó los 110 m vallas con récord sudamericano en el primer día de disputas, se quedó con el bronce (22,02). Matheus volvió a la pista para ayudar a Paraná a ganar otra medalla de oro, con el relevo mixto 4x400 m. Gabriel Barreto dos Santos, Letícia Lopes, Matheus Gerônimo Gama y Amanda Miranda da Silva corrieron la carrera con 3.36.31. São Paulo ganó plata (3.37.02) y el Distrito Federal bronce (3.40.16). Los atletas más completos del campeonato, que compitieron en la prueba combinada - pentatlón para esta categoría de edad - fueron Thiago Henrique Prestes Schuh (SC), con 3.287 puntos, y Beatriz Souza Aranha (SP), con 3.078 puntos. Más campeones de la última etapa del atletismo en los Juegos de la Juventud: Guilherme da Silva Izidoro (PR), en triple salto (14,67 m, -0,5); Raissa Ramos Vieira de Lima (PR), lanzamiento de disco (42,51 m); Wandesson Marlhon Gomes Vieira (PE), en salto en alto(1,94 m); Luisa Monteiro de Almeida (RS), en los 3.000 m (01.11.4); Vinicius de Oliveira Pereira da Silva (PB), en los 3.000 m (9.11.22); Ingryd Norberto da Silva (RN), en salto de longitud (5,82 m, -1,2); Eduarda Merigo Vieira y Eduardo Radatz, ambos catarinenses, ganaron en lanzamiento de jabalina, respectivamente, con 47,60 my 65,11 m.
