Just watched the Mario Kart direct!

Didn’t get my best case scenario (story mode) or my worst case scenario (paid DLC) but you know I’m going to spend a stupid amount of time tracking down and completing those free roam missions.

mario royalty's a great scale to find how invested someone is in the series. any casual fan knows the mario princesses, and this can be said abt a lot of non-fans too. if you know the mario princes though you are autistic

in another universe, mihawk (single father of perona and zoro) and robin (married to franky and mother of chopper) are goth siblings. which means chopper is perona and zoro’s little cousin that they give the unplugged xbox controller to at family gatherings to make him think he’s playing with them

I gotta wonder who would be the best/worst people to play Mario Kart, Mario Party, or Monopoly with. I can see Abigail destroying it (positive) in Mario Kart or Mario Party, but struggling with Monopoly. But Lewis or Pierre might rock at Monopoly.

How many friendships have been tested by those games. How many friendships have been destroyed. Are the good ones banished from playing or have those games just been banned. How much chaos has been unleashed. I need to know

Prompt 24 - Improve

Previous part First part

Regulus wiggled into James's lap to make sure he was comfortable. He looked at the character James had been playing. “Donkey Kong, really James?” He quirked an eyebrow at his boyfriend as he selected Yoshi instead. Sirius had, of course, opted for Princess Peach as he had since they’d bought the game when they were younger. People always underestimated Peach. 

The track came up on the screen. The drivers lined up and the duck in the cloud came down to hover in front of them with the countdown lights. 

The light went blue and they were off. They both stared at the back of the group but made quick work of getting past the others before the first corner.  Regulus zoomed away faster. Sirius had been bounced sideways by Luigi, causing him to fall behind. 

The first line of item boxes appeared right before the bend. Regulus snagged one on his way past and watched the counter at the top of the screen shoot through the possible prizes as he drifted around the first corner. A green shell. Good, he thought, he could use that when Sirius caught back up. A tunnel appeared at the end of the first corner, and he shot into it, bashing the joystick to the side as fast as he could when a slight corner came up, allowing him to drift. 

He was doing well, he was nearly at the starting point to finish his first lap when Sirius caught up. He quickly attached the green shell to the back of his kart, ready for him. Sirius came close and Regulus tossed it, hitting Princess Peach dead on. He drove through another item box and got a banana skin this time. 

Regulus repeated the lap again, Sirius still behind him and sped on towards the finish line as he started his final lap. 

He kept an eye on the other racer’s positions, he could almost taste the victory, but then James jostled him when he picked up his chocolate bar and Regulus missed the corner. He watched in horror as Princess Peach blasted past him and drove over the finish line. 

“NO!” He’d lost. He turned to James, who was struggling with the foil around the chocolate bar. He clearly had no idea what he’d done. Regulus let his head fall into his hands. Now he’d have to go to the club. 

“You nearly had me there, Reggie, but you definitely have to improve your driving if you want to beat me,” Sirius beamed at him, knowing full well the only reason he won was due to a total fluke, and if Regulus had found his own seat instead of staying on James's lap, Sirius would have lost spectacularly. 

“Best two out of three?” He asked hopefully. Sirius shook his head, a gleeful look on his face. 

“Oh, no, baby brother. It’s time for you to go put your glad rags on, we’re going to the club,” Regulus groaned, but did as he was told, dragging James up from his seat and leading him towards his bedroom. This was not what he had planned for his evening.
