Can we get a reintroduction to the Minecraft crew?

Oh yeah that actually sounds like a good idea Anon, it has been a long while and there’s probably a lot of new people.

For context I follow loosely the events of Minecraft Story Mode but in an “Everyone Lives AU”, with variations here and there, but mostly influenced by stuff I made up while playing minecraft with Fizz.

Most of my old art is in my old blog and hidden because it's very old, but I might repost some stuff for safe keeping purposes.

I'm gona start with ocs and then canon characters:

Alondra “Al” (self insert sona): She is a builder with griefer tendencies of the explosive kind. She lives with one of her best friends, Finn ( @popfizzles sona) next to a small village. She used to be very shy but has grown to love adventuring and griefs illager outposts for fun.

Zombie + Syrup: Alondra's pet parrot. He is a lil menace who has fun scaring unsuspecting people by making mob noises (his favorite being zombie groans, hence his name). Syrup is a small kitten Finn gifted Al, she enjoys following Zombie around.

Tom (oc co-owned with Fizz): A wandering trader who one night snuck into Al and Finn's ranch and ended up becoming a frequent visitor. He never told them his name so they just started calling him Tom. He is a man of many secrets that refuses to set in one place, and tries really hard not to get attached (with doubtful results).

Gaunt: Blacksmith armorer illager. Due to poor eyesight, he spends most of his time working at the forge in the Mansion, however, he is just as deadly in a fight as any other illager. Doesn't participates on raids, however he got his sight set on the ender griefer that keeps sabotaging the nearby outposts.

(Evoker): Evoker illager and one of the heads in the nearby Woodlands Mansion. A shady individual up to no good who enjoys the pain of others. He only leaves the Mansion for big raids, he prefers to stick to his library and study of dark magic books.

Carrot, Mason, Rob (co-owned with Fizz): Villagers in the village Finn and Al live close to. Carrot and Mason are the only survivors of a previous village that was attacked by an illager patrol and with the help of Finn and Al rebuilt their village along with survivors from other villages. Meanwhile, Rob is a young blacksmith that Finn and Al cured as a baby zombified villager and then immediately ran into their nether portal (I don't think we ever picked an exact age for him?) he somehow survived but is now obsessed with going back to the Nether one day.

Canon characters:

Lukas: Builder and rising adventure writer. He and Al met during the Wither Storm mess and remained close after. They got a bit of a mutual pining/highschool lovebirds situation going on.

Aiden: A complicated situation. Before the Wither Storm Al used to admire the Ocelots building skills. She never really interacted much with Aiden until Sky City, and Aiden never paid her attention until he realized how close she was with Lukas.

Axel: The griefer and Al are something close to frenemies, Al thinks Axel can be a bully and mean for no reason, but he is also an extremely loyal friend of those he cares about. Axel is determined to keep pushing Al buttons to lean more into the fun a bit of chaos can bring.

Magnus: A sort of adoptive father figure. He was the first to see Al's potential in the griefer area and love for fireworks. Much like Axel, he also enjoys pushing Al's buttons and dragging her along some griefer shenanigans now and then.

Axel hasn't moved in with them yet at this point though shoutout to backstories which MCSM is also allergic to for some reason

their music taste is anything and everything. they will go to listening from k-pop to death metal and be unfazed

jesse was fairly little when they met reuben (thinking abt 4-ish??)

they have brightly colored highlights in their hair, and it's style is short and fluffy/messy-looking

doesn't want to get gender surgeries or take hormones or anything

played trumpet in middle school marching band. I'm so sorry for doing them dirty like this but it's the vibes

probably survives off of caffeine. however, this habit got better after they got radar to help

they couldn’t sleep for at least a week after reuben's death, but then they started sleeping with a plushy (probably of a pig), which slowly helped them get back into a semi-regular sleep schedule

deathly terrified of getting sick. if she got lethally sick before the witherstorm event, she would be like "I'M FINE IT'S NOTHING" but after the witherstorm event if she gets a small cold she freaks tf out

she's abt three years older than lukas, and she was very present in his childhood. they basically did everything together bc their parents were either fuckasses or straight up not there (L + ratio tbh)

he's a writer. he's into WEIRD GROSS GRAPHIC SHIT. he does not faint when he sees blood or whatever.

while writing his memoir(?) abt the witherstorm journey, he writes so many graphic descriptions abt stuff like petra's illness, inside of the witherstorm, the endermen and other mobs, etc. and asks jesse to read it for criticism and such and then they end up scarred and are like "HUH?? WHO HURT YOU????"

he likes holding his cat like a baby

he's the certified "music nerd" of the group. he thinks his taste is the best

speaking of, he likes stuff like will wood, tally hall/miracle musical, lemon demon, etc. and if anyone ever asks for music recommendations he just fucking appears without warning and talks abt music for three hours

whenever lukas is handed the aux he's like "YOU GUYS WANNA HEAR A BANGER?" and plays 2/3 of a song and talks abt it for another half of it and just does it over again with several songs in a row

played clarinet in middle school-high school band and never wanted to switch bc he was very attached to his instrument

he was also probably a theatre kid. and DEFINITELY a creative writing kid. maybe an art kid too

eventually he started playing electric guitar after school

he used to be *extremely* asocial and introverted, only willingly interacting with his cousin, petra, until he met the ocelots and slowly opened up in his late middle school/early high school years thanks to them

his parents weren't very present in his childhood

throughout most of his childhood he experienced lots of autism related speech loss and was nearly completely nonverbal, but after he started becoming friends with the ocelots, he slowly gained the ability to speak. he still experiences the occasional speech loss to this day, but he's much better than he was a while back

it's said that he is both jesse's assistant and and intern, so that could mean he's in high school. I debated for a little bit whether he would be a junior or senior but I decided that he would be one of the older juniors (around 17 years old)

sometimes he has to miss/be late to help jesse with work or whatever bc he has schoolwork to do

definitely a hardcore theatre kid.

it's also sorta implied that radar has some sort of crush on jesse so I like to imagine that jesse is like his celebrity crush or whatever. ofc that's never gonna go through as an actual relationship or whatever

radar does mention at one point that he loves seafood so I like to imagine he encourages jesse to try seafood with him and stuff. he also definitely isn't scared to try and actually likes some of the "weird" stuff (ex. tako)

he rlly trusts jesse and likes talking to him bc he doesn't rlly have a good outlet. I like to think jesse just listens/lets him vent

he tries to go help jesse as much as he possibly can bc his home life isn't particularly great (by that I mean it's terrible)

he's the type to go "SO FUNNY STORY-" and then traumadump like it's nothing (srsly get him some therapy)

definitely has a squishmallow collection AND keeps all the tags

•Petra is still learning how to behave in society.

•Radar one time accidentally crashed Jesse's car into the temple. He wasn't even trying to drive it, he just wanted to sit in the front seat and pretend.

 Good morning!

 Welcome back to my surrogate livejournal. The kids just ate very well.  I have slept in constantly the past few months.  It has been a good if distracting morning. I am up at the same time as them these days, but that is because I stay up till 1, 2 3am for no good reason… It has been a stretch of stasis which is annoying.  

 I of course spoke too soon because I just broke up a fight over a toy. That’s kids for ya. The dogs are barking their fool heads off outside, the tv is on. The toy is needlessly noisy. As are the kids. Ah well. At least the coffee isn’t shite. I made the coffee. Aldi’s finest.

 Man I need a shower. I need a lot of things. I put on several several pounds the past 2-3 months. Maybe there is a correlation. I am working on it.

 Priorities:

 *Fix keyboard to my laptop.  

 *Clean myself.

 *Get the house in better order–> I have a good thing going finally after 5-6 days of my wife being so sick that we can’t obliterate our lives for the sake of an end-of-year holiday fest.  So I’ve caught up on dishes but not much else. I’m sitting here typing instead of cleaning, but I think that’s okay.  I am claiming my time, I’m claiming my time.

 Fack, so many memese, what the hell was that?

 Anyway, I’m looking around my house at the little discarded things and doghair and pieces of detritus and lint on the corners of the floor. Wondering how to be a passable father, much less a good one. Wishing I had a modicum of self-discipline and organizational skills to pass on to my kids. Part of the reason they have not spent a lot of time outside in the snow, where in my opinion they should be is my own procrastination, reluctannce, and organization. They’ll just get the house wet/muddy when they come back inside, and will they be warm enough? Won’t it just be even more trouble than it’s worth? It won’t buy me time, and anyway these dishes need done! And the table. And the floor. And the kitchen.  

 I took jukai several months ago. I need to remember why. The reason I did it was to sort of arm myself or at least clarify what my life should be about. It is hard to remember, especially when my meds are, uh, variable. Maybe that’s something too.

 I dunno about any of this, but I’m gonna just keep posting/typing through it. I really miss my old crew. Cherie, Rob…where you guys at, man? Rob I know where you at, but Cherie, where’d you go, hon? I miss you.  I need someone to just throw my depression at before getting on with my day. Want to play Soulcalibur?

 I do. I miss games. I saw a meme recently that the reason peopel miss their 20’s is because they sucked but they had no skills and nothing going for them. That’s fine, and I agree, but man that didn’t make staying up till 5am playing video games and going to Waffle House any less fun. That still seems like The Life.  I think my dreams were different. I haven’t dreamt in awhile.  

 I’m okay, but the inertia is enough to power-blog through here and throw out any mememes in my head that are taking up residence.    That’s good for now. Peace
