his usual bright smile drops as he learns about your kidnapping and is replaced with a rather grim and uncharacteristic look on his face

any smile on his face would only be forced as long as you were gone. he knew he'd only be able to genuinely smile at you again once he found you

and mirio was determined he would find you and return you home unharmed!

he had to believe that you were still alright and that your kidnappers hadn't hurt you yet

MHA AU where Eri is all grown up (well around the same age as 1-A at least), learning how to be a hero with her quirk and all but the more she grows and learns about the world she starts to develop the same mindset as Shigaraki.

The fandom already compares them a lot anyway so it would be interesting to see what would happen when the "perfect victim" starts saying "the way we as a society handle villains is kinda fucked up and leads to more issues".

Deku tries to be her mentor and is completely awful at this.

Maybe him saying something that makes Eri realize that she was just lucky and that if the circumstances were different she would've just been taken by the HPSC or thrown into the foster system.

Maybe him saying something that makes her realize that if circumstances were different she would've met the same fate as Shigaraki later down the line.

Maybe him trying to use the same methods as All Might or straight up trying to use All Might as inspiration even tho Eri did not grow up with All Might as an idol so she doesn't worship care about him at all. And Deku has no idea how to deal with that cause "morality = liking All Might".

Maybe Deku tries to use his "all or nothing" self destructive method of training and she just shuts him down like "Deku, if I try to go all out carelessly, I could literally lose control and wipe out any living being or thing around me".

And thus Mirio becomes her mentor. The actual bright future Nighteye saw for him being Mirio helping Eri and supporting her goal of preventing the system that caused scenarios like her or the LoV from ever happening again.

mirio is the biggest extrovert out there, while you are the type who prefers to avoid being around too many people

mirio absolutely respects your wish and he doesn't mind it if you prefer to do things on your own, instead of with him and his friends

however when the two of you do end up going out with his friends, mirio keeps an eye out for you, to make sure you aren't getting overwhelmed

he knows that it can get a bit too much for you if he drags you along to public events, but he's always ready to leave whenever you don't have any energy to stay there anymore

you always try to stay around as long as you can, for your boyfriends sake, but the two of you have come up with a way for you to signal that you want to leave

whenever things get too much for you, you'll walk up to mirio and hug him tight

he'll look down at you, to check if you're trying to give him a signal or if you just need a hug

whenever you nod, he'll know that you'd like to leave and in the next five minutes, he'll tell his friends that it's getting late and that he'll take you home now

he never mentions that you're the one that wants to leave, since he doesn't want to draw more attention to you than you are comfortable with
