All Hallows - Ghoul City
Tumblr media
The gateway to Ghoul City is located on the right side of the entry plaza as you enter, on the opposite side from Trick-or-Treat Village and Pumpkin Acres, and the contrast is both striking and deliberate. Rather than a friendly small neighborhood or a quiet farming town, Ghoul City is a chaotic metropolis of tall buildings and short patience...and plenty of monsters among the citizens. (It's subtle rather than explicit, but there is a bit of meta-narrative worldbuilding here: in Pumpkin Acres, the horror is hidden/plausibly deniable whereas in Ghoul City, it's right out in the open, and which situation is preferable is a matter of opinion.)
The entry sign takes the form of an American highway exit sign identifying the location as Poul City, with the P overwritten by a GH in dripping red spray paint. Upon entering the area, guests immediately find themselves downtown, on a street between tall brick buildings with boarded-up storefronts at ground level and residential units above. Every spare bit of wall is peppered with graffiti suggesting the existence of monster gangs, and the area is littered with interactive gizmos—ring a doorbell and an irritated wight shouts down at you from an upstairs window, or step on a certain manhole cover to have a motorcycle roar from the nearby alley while its rider's eyes glow red.
As with Pumpkin Acres, the setting for Ghoul City is entirely contemporary, with some old-fashioned twists...but here, rather than being held back by isolation and basic conservatism, the locals indulge in nostalgia. The 1950s, the decade which redefined monster movies, and the 1980s, the one that reinvented the horror genre and Halloween itself (and launched the Goth subculture), are major design influences. This is especially true of the area music loop (framed as a radio broadcast), which probably comes closest to exemplifying what most people think of as a “Halloween playlist.”
Past the first block is the city center, dressed as an open-air mall, complete with a small food court. From here, guests have a choice to go right toward the waterfront (AKA Gilman Municipal Beach) or left toward the suburbs. Each sub-area has its own attractions.
Tumblr media
Characters
Unlike the cozy communities across the way, Ghoul City is densely populated and fairly anonymous. There are only a few consistent named characters...but on the other hand, there are more roving “scare-acters” here than in any other part of All Hallows. You might see zombie commuters, punk vampires (only after dark, of course), and werewolf bikers. The aggregate effect is of the sort of “hidden society” commonly posited by contemporary urban fantasy novels.
The two named characters guests are likely to encounter directly, Albert U. Carden and “Batty” Betty Z, are both associated with Club Bloodsucker (see Attractions), as its manager/emcee and deejay, respectively. They are not explicitly vampires, but with the way they present themselves, they don't need to be very explicit about it.
Attractions
Club Bloodsucker: Located where the entry walkway wraps around the “city center” on the way to the suburbs, Club Bloodsucker is a genuine dance club, with live bands on weekend nights, a live deejay on weekday nights, and a randomized playlist during the daylight hours. Decked out like a Goth club, the music on offer also leans toward the Goth end of things but covers enough genres that most people can probably find something to bop to while enjoying refreshments from the bar. (Minors are allowed in as long as they have adult supervision.)
Attack of the Monsters in 3-D!: The signature attraction of the “suburbs” section, a dark ride homage to the monster movie genre as a whole. Guests board classic convertibles and cruise through a city currently under attack by nearly every sort of monster imaginable, from aliens to zombies! Jump-scares and dark humor abound, building to a climax of ultimate destruction!
City Cemetery: In the far end of the suburb area is a picnic area dressed as a picturesque graveyard. There are no rides or elaborate shows, but it's a nice place to take a break from the clamor of the rest of Ghoul City and play with more interactive effects.
Warehouse Maze: The Ghoul City maze attraction is themed as a warehouse on the docks. Loud noises and glaring “safety lights” add to the disorientation as guests weave between wobbling crates, squeeze through claustrophobic spaces between shipping containers, and are startled by inhuman dock workers.
Deep Dive: Located on the waterfront, a flume ride/“water coaster” themed around escaping from aquatic monsters...or are you the monsters, trying to escape the humans? It's open to interpretation.
Shops and Eateries
6. Food Court: The city center contains about half a dozen counter-service eateries offering various sorts of fast food. Individual locations bear names like Frankenburger, Spucci's Pizza, Jiang Shi's Midnight Wok, and Poultry-geist.
7. COSTUMES COSTUMES COSTUMES: Ghoul City's costume shop is framed as if it were a giant overstock emporium. The costumes available here include costumes that mimic the look of a specific decade (50s greasers, hippies, etc.), “career” costumes (e.g. cop, doctor, soldier), “sexy” costumes, superheroes, and famous horror movie characters.
8. Rock 'N' Reel: A video and music store specializing in horror films and Halloween specials and albums. Streaming may be the dominant media platform these days, but Blu-Rays and even DVDs aren't dead yet, and vinyl is even undergoing a revival.
9. Treasures of the Deep: A souvenir shop located near the Deep Dive coaster, featuring all the sea monster memorabilia anyone could want.
Other
Continue following the walkway along the edge of the cemetery to reach an alternate entrance into County Drakul.

“CAN YOU ROCK & ROLL ZOOMED OUT???”
Our species believes because of “Scientific Publishing” that the First Law Of Nature is “Self Preservation”!
We now know with the Discovery of the actual First Law Of Nature “The Evolution In Man & Human Brain Function'' that this has been proven to be false!
Therefore although Survival & Procreation are 2 of the 3 major & general components of the Evolution Process, Evolving is without question the  Prime Source of all our Urges & Motivation & in fact the Impetus & Prime Source of all brain function including human!
Empirical Evidence of this fact is fairly obvious in humans as they give up Self Preservation all the time for higher Purposes & Meaning that is contained within the Evolution Process!  A good Example would be the Evolution, Pocreation  & Preservation of our Children, Tribes & Species!
Scientific Publishing is not only corrupt but also as a result has the highest Profit in any area of the Publishing Business!!!
We humans are not all about Self Preservation, that is the Purpose of some Psychopaths but not the Common Purpose of Mankind as we are loaded with Empirical Evidence that our prime & source Purpose & Meaning of life on Earth is to EVOLVE in harmony with Mother Nature & Spirituality!!!!
We are Survivalists & Procreationists alright but we are Evolutionaries First!!!  END OF STORY!!!

3 THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND BEFORE BUYING A WIRELESS SPEAKERS IN GHANA.
With a huge inflow of speaker products in the market, the supply being at large, and with so many various options available, each one of them is better than the other. It presents quite a challenge to decide to choose the most ideal speaker for you. That's why we put in hours of research and display the top 3 things you need to keep in mind, while on your hunt to buy wireless speakers in Ghana. Use these recommendations to craft your best deal to your utmost satisfaction.
Music is the poetry of the air and sometimes when good music is all you need, you will need a good speaker alongside it to reap its full enjoyment.
Tumblr media
3 things to consider when you buy a wireless speakers in ghana:
COST: The cost of a speaker can vary from various price ranges, from a cheap to a reasonable price and finally a costly one. The preference between the prices of every individual differs as it is affected largely in most cases by the financial situation of an individual, or possibly by some other factors.
QUALITY(sound and build): In all cases, while not considering complex market structures like competition, geographic location, etc. a higher price range naturally corresponds to a higher quality product and a more durable product, but this should not always be the criteria for the measurement of a product's worth. Not everyone is capable of owning thousands of GH₵ worth of speakers, so the most logical thing would be to place a product's worthwhile considering its price range, and if it's a good trade for that price.
TYPE OF SPEAKER: another important factor is to know what type of speaker you are searching for, and for what purpose, if it's for a purpose to cover a large area then a speaker that is built for it should be searched for, while if you're instead searching for a smaller build just as a means to play music in a small gathering then a speaker build for that purpose should be sought for, for example, something like STUD 100 by iplaykora, that is handy yet a powerful device for its price range.
For just an amount of GH₵ 320, you get a packed system with a battery life of 1500, a 7-hour playtime with a charger equipped that fills its life in just 4 hours.
Equipped with a 50mm powerful driver that's gonna cover up your whole room, and for some reason your speaker got disconnected, worry not, with a v5.0 Bluetooth system, getting back into connection is as fast as it can get.
While you lose yourself to the powerful bass therapy and a body that is resistant to water, there could actually not be a better deal than this, if you want to buy a wireless speaker in ghana.
Interested in the product? Here is a link to check it out: ……
Well, although these three points are not everything, however, knowing these points will keep you way ahead of the game. And gives you a better edge in the way you could shortlist the options available to you.

Lesser-Known Girl Groups You Should Check Out
1. GIRLKIND
First on the list is GIRLKIND! This is a four member girl group that all the admins really like. They come from a poor company, which unfortunately has made some people send them hate, but every single one of these girls is so talented and they do their best with what they have. They do a lot of dance covers, like their recent relay dance of girl group songs from 2010, as well as vocal and dance covers! They tend to reply to comments and interact with fans as well! Medic Jin has such an incredible voice and every single member can dance. It’s sad that they don’t have the funds to show their talent to the world, because they genuinely have so much potential. Their most recent comeback is “Future” and it’s one of my favorites by them, go check it out!
Tumblr media
2. Saturday
Second on the list we have Saturday! Saturday is a (now) five member girl group under SD Entertainment. For this group, their songs definitely aren’t for everyone: they’re a mix of cute and silly, but it’s a sound that I personally love! My favorite song by them is “Wifi,” it’s just so catchy and it makes me smile every time I listen to it! They recently posted a dance cover of “Kissing You” with their lightstick that was so adorable, and Haneul, who is all around talented AF, posted a short NCT 127 “Kick It” dance Cover! You can learn more about them by watching them on Fact iN Star. Their last comeback was with “BByong” and it looks like we’ll be getting a comeback soon as some of the girls have changed their hair colors!
Tumblr media
3. Nature
Third we have one of my current favorite groups, Nature! Nature is a nine member girl group under N.CH World. They’ve had a couple lineup changes and, most recently, added Sohee, who some of you might recognize from Produce 101! This group is known for their kind of weird, unique yet catchy songs, like “Some (You’ll Be Mine)” and my personal favorite, “I’m So Pretty.” This group has some dancing machines and they post a lot of dance covers, Haru in particular. She just recently posted a dance cover of MC Hammer’s “It’s All Good,” and a dance practice all my friends love is Saebom, Aurora, and Haru’s cover of “Chun-Li.” You can watch them on Weekly Idol, Fact iN Star, KBS’s Try Not To Sing Challenge, Pops In Seoul, Car Talk, and Idol League. They had a reality show with Mnet, but I cannot for the life of me find where to watch it. They upload a lot of short videos to their YouTube channel, some with subs and others without. They also had a pop cover project pre-debut that is incredible! Their latest Korean comeback was with “Oopsie! My Bad” and “Bing Bing,” a side track the promoted! They’re a really amazing group that I’ve totally fallen for!
Tumblr media
4. Elris
This next group is an older group, as Elris debuted under Hunus Entertainment in 2017. They recently added two members, Chaejeong (who you might recognize from Produce 48) and EJ, making them a seven member girl group. They debuted with a rather cute concept that they changed up a bit with their last comeback. Sohee, the leader, is probably the most known member of the group. You might know her from her solo song “Hurry Up” with BOL4, she also did some solo things pre-debut. They post both dance and vocal covers on their YouTube channel, as well as vlogs from the members. You can learn more about them by watching Pops in Seoul, Fact iN Star, Broken Karaoke, After School Club, their Weekly Idol episode with Golden Child, and this actually helpful (un)helpful guide to Elris. They also recently appeared on dancing idol! Their most recent comeback was with “Jackpot” and it was really good, be sure to give them a listen!
Tumblr media
5. 3YE
Next is 3YE (pronounced third eye) and, even though I think they’re really gaining in popularity especially overseas, I still wanted to include them. 3YE is a three member girl group under GH Entertainment with a criminal concept! Their dances really make them stand out because of the cheer power, and their music would appeal to anyone who likes more hard-hitting music or a typical boy group sound. On their YouTube, you can find Q&A videos (subbed!) and lots of covers! Unfortunately they haven’t had the chance to be on many shows yet, but you can learn more about them through this interview, this (un)helpful guide to 3YE, and this Pop in Seoul video. They have three songs, the most recent being “Queen” as well as “OOMM (Out Of My Mind)” and “DMT (Do My Thing)”.
Tumblr media
6. ANS
Next we have ANS, an eight member girl group under ANS Entertainment that debuted in 2019. It’s a bit of a joke in the fandom that they add members every comeback, because, well, it’s kind of true so far. They gained a lot of attention after their comeback “Say My Name” in January, although some people were accusing them of copying Everglow. Thankfully, most of the attention that came from this was positive. This is another group under a poor company trying their best, especially because a lot of the girls have tried to debut before, but I think they did amazing with their last comeback and I’m really hoping their career is able to take off. Also, their dance skills are GREAT. They have so many members who excel in dancing and even choreograph themselves, please watch Bian, Dalyn, and Raon’s “I Like It” choreo and be blessed. They also post vocal covers through their cover project and their dance practice in hanbok was ADORABLE. They went to Fact iN Star during their debut, so you can learn about the members other than J and Haena there. This (un)helpful guide to ANS is really great as well! These girls are incredibly talented, check out both “Boom Boom” and “Say My Name” live stages to see what I mean!
Tumblr media
7. Cignature
Okay so Cignature has actually been getting quite a lot of attention since their debut this year, but I couldn’t help but to add them here. Cignature is a seven member girl group under J9 Entertainment. Five of the members were in the girl group Good Day and appeared on The Unit, so you might see some familiar faces! I feel like a broken record, but I’m serious when I once again say that the members are SO TALENTED. They sing live for every performance and even during some dance challenges! On their YouTube, they do a lot of dance covers and they have a lot of short videos called Cignature Piece that are, unfortunately, not subbed but are still fun to watch! You can learn more about them through After School Club, this complimenting challenge, this newsaid interview, this skylife series, Broken Karaoke, and Fact iN Star released a dance video, so they might be appearing there soon as well! They came back with a second debut single ASSA after Nun Nu Nan Na, which is about not caring if you’re an outsider and being yourself!
Tumblr media
8. April
April is another group that falls into the area of known, but kind of underrated. They’re a six member girl group under DSP Entertainment that debuted in 2015, and although they had some lineup changes early on (KARD’s Somin used to be in the group) they’ve stayed six members for a while. You probably know Naeun, even if you don’t know that you know her: she’s acted in “A-Teen” and “Extraordinary You” as well as been MC for multiple music shows. The members have also done OST’s and have been in commercials. Somehow, though, Apink still manages to fall under the radar. Their last comeback, Oh! My Mistake was their most popular song (and their best mini album, in my opinion), but then they disappeared for a while. Their songs like April Story and The Blue Bird had more of a soft, dreamy concept and, in my opinion, should have gotten them some wins. Their reality show Here Goes April right after their debut (before Rachel and Chaekyung joined and Somin and Hyunjoo left) does have English subs, but unfortunately most of the short videos they upload now do not. You can learn more about April through their Celuv TV appearance, A Song For You, and their Pops in Seoul interview. Since they aren’t super popular overseas, it is hard to find English subs for them, but Chaewon does have her own YouTube where she posts covers and a few vlog-type videos, and Naeun has appeared on a lot of shows on her own! April will finally be making a comeback this month on the 22nd with their mini album Da Capo, so keep an eye out and please give them lots of support!
Tumblr media
There are so many other groups that I love, like Favorite, PinkFantasy, PurpleBeck, ShaFLA, Sunny Hill, PLAYBACK, Sonamoo, NeonPunch, DreamNote, Ariaz, Limesoda, Laboum, Hashtag, and H.U.B! There also groups like gugudan, GWSN, and DIA who are known but need more recognition. If you guys find this helpful, I’d love to do another list to bring light to my girls! - Admin Kiwi

Your Name, Age (18+), & Timezone: H, 20, GHS
River Joseph McGrath turned 21 years old on November 3rd. He’s a Junior at Greensville Community College in Greensville. His face claim is Tom Holland.
Admin note: Welcome to NOS!
Bio (10+ sentences, include brief history, personality, potential plots):
River McGrath hadn’t always been the most open-minded guy when it came to his high school years. Since he was little, he cared so much about being the most popular kid and avoided anything and anyone that would stunt him from getting there. He changed personalities like he changed clothes, just wanting to fit in with the group that everyone admired. He spent so long chasing something as unimportant as popularity that he didn’t know who he was anymore. Sure, he had what he had always wanted. He was a team captain of the basketball team, had plenty of friends, dated plenty of girls but he felt empty every time he came home from practice. He would find enjoyment in things like music and filmography, yet he kept it such a secret out of fear his friends would find it “uncool.”
It wasn’t until he graduated that he realised how much of a mistake he had made of his school career. His toxic friends had moved away, leaving him in Greensville all by himself with no motivation or clue of what he wanted to do with his life. He had spent so much time partying and bunking off classes that his grades suffered. He was surprised he even graduated on time, always passing by the skin of his teeth. Sure, he could’ve tried getting a scholarship elsewhere for his basketball abilities but he didn’t even feel motivated to play anymore - at least not at college level. He spent an entire summer trying to find who he was and what he enjoyed, spending a lot of time by himself to enjoy what he always loved: film and music.
He enrolled to the local community college shortly after, enrolling under a media production diploma that would allow him to study multiple areas in a field he enjoyed. Now a junior, River is starting to slowly find his feet. He was enjoying college, he was making friends that were good for him - he felt confident enough to put himself out there into the world without a care of what people thought about him. In fact, he felt embarrassed about how he used to be in high school and spends a majority of his time trying to undo all his wrongs. Did he still have a long way to go? Absolutely. But it was at least a start.
Have you read the rules?: removed
In the event that you leave, can we keep your biography for future use?: Sure! Any comments/questions?: Nope, thanks for reading :)

“In Color” GH Cover Jamey Johnson-Keith Urban-Chris Stapleton-S MCcreery...
“HARD TIMES!  BUT GOOD!!!”
I realise this might seem strange to some but if your Life was a Tapestry the richest colours, pictures &  fabric would most likely be created in “Hard Times!”
Because we now know from Science the actual Truth about the common Purpose & Meaning of Life for all humans is to EVOLVE, this makes nothing but sense!
We are all trying to EVOLVE:  Our SELVES, Our BRAINS & thus Our DNA which includes:  FAMILY, TRIBE & SPECIES!
The “Evolution In All Living Things” includes us & it is right at the impetus or primal source of our Brain Function!  It is the force behind the intent of our brain & all our Motivations!
The Human Evolution Process consists of 3 areas & activities:  1.  SURVIVAL  2.  PROCREATION  3.  EVOLVING for its own sake.  No Survival, no Evolution & no EXISTENCE!  No Procreation, no Evolution & no EXISTENCE!
We & our Brain etc. Evolve via the “Creative Growth & Development” we employ Solving all the Puzzles, Playing all the Games & telling all the Stories necessary to carry out the Evolution Process of Survival, Procreation & Evolving for its own sake!
Therefore it makes nothing but sense that the brain is Evolving the most when the Puzzles, Games & Stories are the toughest ie. often conflict & HARD TIMES!
To a degree what is too painful to remember, for many reasons, we choose to forget!  But in a perhaps mostly subconscious manner we remember how much we were forced to EVOLVE & just how tough those puzzles were and we feel good about it, thus, just like in the song “In Color” they were “HARD TIMES BUT GOOD!

For the 30th anniversary of the Traveling Wilburys, Olivia Harrison did an interview with Laura Cantrell on Dark Horse Radio (11 Oct. 2018). Here is a transcript I’ve made of when they talked about the Romanian Angel Appeal and the Material World Foundation:
LAURA CANTRELL: In 1990 the Traveling Wilburys’ cover version of Nobody’s Child was released as the title track on the Nobody’s Child Romanian benefit album. The charity project was organised to raise awareness for that children’s organisation. The song itself has quite a history and was first recorded by Hank Snow in 1949. It made its way to the ears of many young skiffle bands in England by way of Lonnie Donegan in 1956. George first recorded the song in 1961 on the backing session The Beatles did with Tony Sheridan in Hamburg. Tell us how did the song make its way then into the Wilburys?
OLIVIA: When Nicolae Ceaușescu was overthrown in Romania, Western press went in, and revealed a lot of orphanages. Really severe crisis for a lot of infants and children, and I ended up going there. Linda, Yoko, and Barbara all wanted to do something. Elton [John] actually did as well, and before I knew it they had all donated money, so I thought I have to go down, and I went down and went into some orphanages. George was in the studio with the Wilburys, and he phoned me, and I said, “I’m in Bucharest.” “What are you doing there?”
CANTRELL: Wow.
OLIVIA: Somehow I bumped into Dave Stewart on the way down there – I mean – [laughs] not on the road down there, but somewhere I’d seen him in the days before, and he said, “I’m going to give you two songs. I’m going to give you a song so you can put it out as a single to raise money,” and I told George that. I said, “I have this song from Dave Stewart, so if you have any time and you think of it, maybe you guys could do a song.” You know, I went to sleep, and I woke up in the morning, and they had stopped what they were doing, and they recorded that song which was really amazing because you had all of them in the studio. They got the lyrics, maybe George remembered it. They chose it, thought it was a perfect song, it was. It was really generous of them because they were in full flow recording the second album, and they stopped, and it was literally I woke up, and he called me. They were still awake, and he did this. It was great.
CANTRELL: You were in different time-zones halfway across the world, and you make a suggestion one evening, and the next morning you wake up, and they’ve made it happen.
OLIVIA: He knew. You know, George knew I wouldn’t ask, and he knew the tones of my voice so obviously knew it was serious and how I was feeling there because it was pretty horrific. And in fact the Romanian Angel Appeal’s still going, and it had been adopted as a program by the government there so they’re still helping children.
CANTRELL: Wow. I know that you’re also involved with the work of the George Harrison Fund for UNICEF and the Material World Foundation that George started in 1973. It supports diverse charities, especially programs for children, people with special needs, cultural projects that support artistic expression – including some significant film restorations you’ve also funded. Any recent projects you want to tell us about?
OLIVIA: The fact that George did the Concert for Bangladesh in 197[1], and then in 2018 there are more refugees there than ever before is just a very sad situation, and I think 700,000 people are probably going to spend their whole lives in those camps. There’s no clear way back for them to Myanmar. One of the poorest countries in the world, Bangladesh, has taken on those refugees which is a big message to other countries and to our country as well. The GH Fund has – is you know, giving UNICEF some funds to provide some sort of semblance of normalcy for the kids in the way of schools so that they have somewhere to gather. It’s shocking what’s happening. You know, I have to keep my cool about it, but they need a lot of help. They really need help. We also have a boat program down there. I went down there maybe five years ago, and found a boat maker who is taking kids in the flood plains to schools. Schools didn’t exists at the time. We were going to have a floating school. [A nonprofit group] then built [floating] schools in those [flooded] areas to [get] the children to schools, and that’s working really well. And also Mexico the earthquake, we help a lot with that. Salma Hayek was great, and she did an appeal which we matched for that as well.
CANTRELL: Olivia, could you also tell us about the film projects and film restoration you’ve been involved with?
OLIVIA: George obviously had some interest in film.
CANTRELL: Yes.
OLIVIA: He actually did films through Apple, Little Malcolm with John Hurt, and that was early, and then of course he had Handmade Films and all those movies and great talent…and working with Marty Scorsese on [Living in the Material World] – Marty has a fantastic film foundation, and you know I started just asking what films would you restore? What’s at the top of the list? And we’ve done nine films now, and we really got to a point where I said – I grew up watching Mexican movies in LA. Marty was watching Italian neo-realist in New York, and George was probably watching George Raft and American movies or – I think his favourite movie was Jekyll and Hyde with Spencer Tracey. He loved that movie…so um…anyway, with the film foundation we just restored two Mexican films, and we’re gonna do another one and four early Charlie Chaplin films, and a wonderful documentary called The Memory of Justice. These films need to be preserved. Finding the masters, the negatives is you know, a big effort.
CANTRELL: Just the resources to actually do the restorations but figuring out, “Where are they?” and “Who has the print?” I mean it’s a far flung process.
OLIVIA: Well, the film foundation and Margaret Bodie whom I work with, I’m really just trying to enable them to do what they do. They’re the ones that do all the restorations. It’s a fantastic program. Really, you know, I feel really fortunate to be able to be a part of it.
CANTRELL: Fans of George might not understand all the far flung places that his influence still supports.
OLIVIA: You know, Material World Foundation was set up because George wanted to enable Ravi Shankar to bring Indian musicians and do a recording similar to the one that he heard very early on which was done for All India Radio called “Nava Rasa Ranga”, and it was an Indian orchestra that Ravi put together, wrote the music, and orchestrated which ended up really being very similar to what Ravi wrote at the Concert for George which was so amazing. I watched that, and I thought, there it is. There’s “Nava Rasa Ranga”, and it’s dedicated to George…so the foundation was set up to bring the musicians over so it really was for alternate philosophies and music and culture. It really has expanded, and it’s for the arts and people in need, and we’re really lucky to be able to – to help.
CANTRELL: Well it’s a lot of things to be proud of.
OLIVIA: Oh. Thank you.
CANTRELL: I’m sure George would be proud of them too.

Since their debut in January 2017, Dreamcatcher has stood out as a unique group in the K-Pop scene, featuring the “Nightmare” concept while singing and dancing to Metallic rock sounds. Employing heavy sounds and armed with vocal and performance skills to match, as well as music videos with strong story elements, they have gained worldwide recognition. In just 5 months after their debut, they had grown enough to hold world tours that included Asia, Europe, and Latin America. They made their much-awaited Japanese debut last November with 「What-Japanese ver.-」. On March 13th, we interviewed Dreamcatcher members as「PIRI~笛を吹け~-Japanese ver.-」was released. We talked about the charm of Dreamcatcher as a group.
Tumblr media
From the left, Siyeon, Gaheyon, Handong, SuA, JiU, Yoohyeon, Dami.
--‘PIRI ~Fue wo Fuke~ -Japanese ver.-’ is your second Japanese single. What is the song like?
JU: ‘PIRI ~Fue wo Fuke~ -Japanese ver.-’ is a song that expresses the loneliness that people face in modern times. The song depicts an attempt to escape the Nightmare, which is also our concept.
SA: To relieve the stress and melancholy of modern life, listen to our song, ‘PIRI ~Fue wo Fuke~ -Japanese ver.-’. We hope it helps reduce stress, even if it’s just a little bit!
--The song was a big hit in Korea as well. Are there any stories from during the recording or the Korean promotions?
SA: This was a song that got us excited even as we were recording, and a song that allowed us to realize just how much we’d grown. We were nominated as a candidate for first place in music shows in Korea, though we sadly didn’t win. Even so, it was a valuable chance for us to get a feeling for our growth. The song also got us excited for our next promotion.
JU: There are parts where we say ‘hey!’ in the song. We say it on stage as well. On one music show, during this part, the voice of only one of us got broadcast. And it was a very threatening voice, too. (Laugh) The fans were also making a big deal about whose voice that was. We actually still don’t know whose voice that was. It wasn’t me, though.
SA: It wasn’t me either! Maybe it’s Yoohyeon.
JU: I think it’s Dami!
SY: Wasn’t it Gahyeon? She said herself, ‘It’s probably me.’
GH: Ehh. But it still could be someone else.
JU: Then let’s just leave it at this being a mystery forever. (Laugh)
SY: When we were recording that part, we thought doing it normally wouldn’t be any fun, so all seven of us did the part in seven different voices. That was fun.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
JiU Leader, Sub vocal. Born on May 17th 1994, 167cm, Blood type: B, Assigned Nightmare: The dream where you are chased by someone.
--About Dreamcatcher, your concept of catching nightmares is a unique one. Are you happy with the concept?
YH: When I first heard that our concept was ‘Nightmare’, I honestly was concerned. How in the world would we express it? But once we did it, it was so much fun. (Laugh) There really aren’t any other groups that go with such a different concept, so I think it helps us be noticed. In the past, I didn’t really listen to rock on my own, but as our promotions went on, I’ve come to really like rock!
SY: From the time I first heard of the concept, I thought it would fit us perfectly! I also personally like impassive expressions. I knew there would be someone out there who would see the charm of this concept.
SA: I feel that the Nightmare concept goes very well with metal and rock. Also, I think that thanks to this concept, our facial expressions turn out cooler, chic, and scarier. There are people who say they don’t really want to watch our music videos because they are scary. When I hear something like that, I feel just a little bit happy. (Laugh)
JU: Also, while ‘PIRI ~Fue wo Fuke~ -Japanese ver.-‘ is a rock song, it’s catchier than the songs that before it. I think it’s a song that can reach people who haven’t heard of Dreamcatcher until now. Dreamcatcher’s basis is rock. But we think we proved that we can present diverse styles of music to everyone.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yoohyeon Lead vocal Born on January 7th 1997, 168cm, Blood type: O, Nightmare assigned: The dream where you wander unknown places.
--When I think of Dreamcatcher, the guitar riffs and the beautiful melodies stand out. What are the charms that Dreamcatcher offers as a group?
GH: Dreamcatcher is cool just for being Dreamcatcher! Friends told me that 'your group is good at everything.' Being thought of like that made me really happy, and boosted my confidence!
YH: Musically, our songs are rock based, so the strong vocals and sounds in them are charming.
JU: We think it's great when we can get fans curious! For instance, the story is an important part of our music videos. If you watch them while thinking about the storyline, you'll become a Dreamcatcher fanatic before you know it. (Laugh) In terms of our music, we covered many different genres outside of rock, so there's bound to be one song that you like.
DM: The fact that all of us are eager to learn is another charm of Dreamcatcher! We are never content to stay where we are now.  We train ourselves to do what we want to do and try new things. Even as a member, that's awesome!
SY: I think the gap between us on stage and us off stage is charming! When we do interviews like this, we're often told that we're cheerful and energetic, unlike how we look on stage. (Laugh) I think it’s fun how different we are on and off stage.
JU: Also, the fact that the members are as close as family!
SY: We’re often told that we’re like girl’s school students, because we don’t pretend to be innocent at all. (Laugh)
HD: I think every member is cute off stage. (Laugh) Especially Siyeon. She has a fierce look in her eyes on stage, making her look almost scary. But she’s actually cute and jokes around a lot off stage. Everyone likes eating, and also likes talking.
DM: I think JiU’s like that too. On stage, she’s a perfectionist. But off stage, she’s unexpectedly clumsy. (Laugh) Also, she usually likes to wear comfortable clothes. And though she may not look it, she's the biggest eater among us.
JU: I'm not picky. I eat anything!
SA: Everyone isn't afraid to try new foods. Even when we're overseas, we eat well. We clean off our plates and don't leave leftovers. (Laugh)
JU: Yesterday, we had Tendong, and it was so good. But it felt like I'd gain weight if I ate too much of it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Siyeon Main vocal Born on October 1st, 1995, 166cm, Blood type: A, Assigned Nightmare: The dream where you are confined to a small place
--Yesterday's events were the first you held in Japan in a while. How did it go?
JU: We met our Japanese fans for the first time in a long time. They are always warm. Whenever we meet them, they make us feel happy. We're so thankful!
--You must be realizing how popular you are in Japan by now. Are there any memorable stories?
GH: We were out shopping in Osaka when a fan recognized and approached us. At the time, I was surprised that there were people in Japan who knew us.
DM: Yesterday, a fan recognized us while we were waiting to get on the car, so we waved at them. For me, that was memorable.
SY: With this song, we reached 8th place on the Oricon chart! It's the first time we've entered the top 10 on the Oricon chart. I truly realized how much support our fans give us, and decided that we needed to work harder!
SA: When we went to Tower Records to do autographs, our album was sold out! It made me realize how popular we were. Yodel-ay-hee-hoo! Ah, please include the Yodel-ay-hee-hoo in the article!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
SuA Main dancer, Sub vocal, Lead rapper Born on August 10th, 1994, 162cm, Blood type: O, Assigned Nightmare: The dream where you can't move your body
--I will. (Laugh) What are you looking forward to during your time in Japan?
JU: The food, of course! The food in Japan tastes good and the plating is also pretty. The bentos are also plentiful. I always look forward to it!
DM: I look forward to the food, too. I really like the convenience store foods! When I go to convenience stores, I'm always checking for new products. Yesterday, I bought two and they were both great. Yoohyeon generally doesn't eat food she hasn't seen before. But this time, she took and ate what I was eating. (Laugh)
YH: It was something made of Sunagimo (Chicken gizzard) I think. It was totally delicious.
JU: There's something that I want to ask. Do Japanese people also go to convenience stores every day?
--The people who go frequently seem to go every day.
JU: So it's similar to Korea!

--Though in Korea, convenience stores have areas to cook ramen, as well as seats where you can eat food. In Japan, stores like that are hard to come by.
SY: Japanese convenience store food is so good, though! Ah, I look forward to talking in Japanese. I like the Japanese language, and when I speak in Japanese, I feel like I get better at it more quickly.
--Is there a Japanese word that you memorized during your stay?
SY: Um... Let's see. (in Japanese) I can't remember... Ah, tonari(隣: adjacent, neighbor)! I memorized tonari.

--You always sport fierce looking makeup on stage. Usually, what kind of makeup do you like to put on? Is there a type of makeup that you want to try this spring?
JU: I like to do my cheeks. I want to try the famous Japanese Igari makeup in various colours. Maybe purple. Wouldn't that be great!
HD: I'm very interested in makeup. This spring, you can't miss pearl colors!
GH: But Handong always likes pearl colors, not just during spring! (Laugh)
HD: Yes, yes. (Laugh) Pearl makeup is the proof of one's resolve. Cheeks are also important. For the color, I like coral.
GH: I like Peach Pink. It looks fresh, and I think it fits my face well. I try to make my makeup look natural.
SA: These days, it feels like matte has become less popular while glossy lips are back in fashion.
JU: In lip care, lip balm has become less popular while lip plumpers are in. They make your lips more pouty.
GH: In addition to lip plumpers, I like putting on glossy lipstick. I can't do it on stage, though. My hair gets stuck. (Bitter laughter)
DM: I'm okay. (Laugh) I'm not that into makeup. Usually, I’m often not wearing any makeup. Still, I don't like my lips being dry, so I never forget using lip balm. Recently, I really liked a honey colored lipstick that a Japanese fan gave me. I ended up ordering more of it online. (Laugh)
YH: Since it's spring, I want to try putting on cherry blossom stickers!

--How do you spend your days off?
DM: These days, I've started composing, so I often stay in the practice room alone, playing the piano.
SA: Awesome!
JU: I generally spend holidays with my family. We have meals, take foot baths, and eat delicious food together. Now I'm talking about food again. (Laugh)
SY: It's springtime, right? So I want to go hiking. The weather's  great too, so I also want to relax on a terrace of a cafe, maybe drinking some coffee.
SA: Again with the hiking talk!
JU: She’s talked about going hiking before, but she hasn't gone hiking yet. (Laugh)
SY: But nobody wants to go with me!
GH: On holidays, I want to get up late. After sleeping in, maybe go get a massage, or go out with friends. I want to eat something good, or go to an amusement park. I haven't been to an amusement park in Japan yet. We did stay in a hotel that was right in front of one, though.
YH: On off days, I don't want to get up from bed. Watching movies in my warm bed is the best!
HD: Whenever we get days off, I go eat chinese food.  Though I usually go with friends, on days when I just have to eat it, I'll go alone. (Laugh)
GH: Handong is the one who makes the most of her off days. By the time I get up, she's already gone. (Laugh)
HD: Not every day's a holiday. I've got to enjoy it!
SA: If we can get a long holiday, I want to go travelling. Though I'll probably just stay in bed while thinking that I want to go travelling. (Laugh)
--Lastly, can you set forth the strong points of Dreamcatcher for readers who haven't heard of Dreamcatcher before?
JU: Everyone, you're really missing out! You're wasting half your life! Not having heard of Dreamcatcher songs. (Laugh) It's still not too late. Please try listening to them once. It might just change your life!

I hope they won’t change the music in Silverglade! The graphic update at least makes sense, when comparing the areas and such, but the music is absolutely perfect and the best in the game and I’m terribly afraid of losing it. On another note: will they also change GH with Silverglade?
