ASP.NET 5 and ASP.NET MVC 6 represent advancements in the .NET framework, with significant changes and enhancements compared to their predecessors. ASP.NET 5 is an open-source platform for developing web applications across Windows, Mac, and Linux, while ASP.NET MVC 6 is specifically the framework for building web apps on ASP.NET 5.
ASP.NET MVC 5 is a lightweight and testable presentation framework integrated with ASP.NET features like master pages and role-based authentication. It includes features like ASP.NET Identity for authentication and authorization, authentication filters, filter overrides, Bootstrap integration, and attribute routing for SEO-friendly URLs.
On the other hand, MVC 6, being part of ASP.NET 5, introduces even more changes and concepts. These include the ability to run on hosts other than IIS, cloud optimization for deployment, an environment-based configuration system, and support for dependency injection across WebAPI, MVC, and WebPages.
The differences between ASP.NET 5 and ASP.NET MVC 6 are significant, reflecting the framework-level changes and advancements made by Microsoft. These changes include a revamped project structure, JSON configurations, cross-platform support, and enhanced dependency handling.
Overall, the evolution from ASP.NET MVC 5 to ASP.NET MVC 6 represents Microsoft's commitment to advancing the .NET framework and making it more open-source and developer-friendly.

maybe, okay? | michael robinavitch
summary: after a hard shift, robby comforts you
pairing: dr. michael (robby) robinavitch x resident!reader
word count: 1.2k
warning(s): mentions of death, sad thoughts & roof talks, the usual
a/n: this is my first time writing for the Pitt— I hope you guys like it (and I would love requests if you have any)... Please let me know what you think! ❤️
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷
“Rough night?” Robby’s question lingers. You don’t need to turn around to know he’s smiling – you can hear it in his voice. It’s a genuine query laced with equal parts teasing and concern.
“You could say that.” You murmur in response, taking a deep inhale. A gust of wind breezes by. It cools your skin, sobers you to your surroundings, reminding you where you are.
This shift had been something. Trauma after trauma that came rolling in, the hours ticked by, each one more exhausting than the last. You might think after years of med school and residency – with more than three years in the Pitt — the last two under your attending Jack Abbot, it would make it easier. But as you’d learned, the pain from patient deaths never eases, and this night had been no exception.
It’s hard to forget the frantic nature that had emerged in the ED over the last number of hours. A family had come in around 4am. A mother, a father, and a 5-year-old boy. MVC, T-boned by a drunk driver – both parents were dead on scene, their child was still fighting for his life. You worked on him for an hour before Dr. Abbot called time of death. He let you go longer than he should have, trying to save this boy’s life. Jack, who never lets emotions cloud his judgment, had given you more time — not for the boy, but for you.
He had seen firsthand how much you cared for each one of your patients over the last two years, but this one felt different. You were usually so composed, just like him. This case, for whatever reason, got to you. It broke something. And he knew who you needed right now.
Robby steps over the railing to stand at your side, the roof giving way to his presence. He’s always known when to find you. Like he’s tuned into your frequency somehow, even when you barely understand it yourself.
“Jack told me I could find you up here. Said something about you stealing his spot – kinda sounded like he was a little worried you might jump, kid.”
You let out a soft laugh. “Nah, it’s shift change.” Your tone is light as you elbow him gently. “If I was gonna jump, I’d do it on Abbot’s watch – never yours.”
“I appreciate that.” He says. “Wouldn’t want to lose my favourite resident.”
“You won’t.” Your response is serious, assuring. “Just—”
“Thinking about that kid?” Robby finishes for you. The first rays of light catch on the edges of his jawline, and you hate how beautiful that looks, here of all places.
“Yeah... I–uh, I don’t know what happened to me.” You admit, your fingers grasping at the sleeve of your shirt.
“Talk to me (Y/n).” His voice drifts. “Don’t bottle it up.”
You nod, the motion almost imperceptible, like you're afraid acknowledging it out loud will make it hurt more. “I keep seeing his face,” you say. “The way he kept reaching for his mom, even after... even after she was gone.”
Robby doesn’t speak right away. He gives you space, something he’s always been good at. Not filling the silence with platitudes. Just being there, solid and steady. You feel him shift closer, his shoulder brushing yours.
“There was nothing more you could’ve done.”
You sigh, scrubbing your hands over your face. “I know that. Logically, I know. But emotionally... it doesn’t feel like enough. It never does.”
Robby’s voice softens. “That’s because you give a damn. It’s what makes you good, even when it hurts like hell.”
You glance over at him. His hair is a little messy, like he’s run his fingers through it too many times this morning. His scrubs are clean, unstained, showing no signs of the incoming shift that’s likely to be just as brutal as yours. But his eyes — theyre steady. Kind. And watching you with a kind of care that cuts through the fog in your chest.
“Sometimes I wonder if I’m cut out for this.” You whisper.
He turns toward you, fully now. “Don’t,” he says, firm but not harsh. “Don’t say that.”
You open your mouth to argue, but he shakes his head. If you left, he’s not sure he could continue. Jack might kill him if he can't talk you off this ledge.
“You’re one of the strongest people I know.” He stands firm. “I’ve seen you do the impossible on less sleep and more pressure than anyone should be under. You belong here. The fact that you feel this much? That’s not a weakness. That’s what sets you apart.”
You look down at your shoes, throat tight. “Thanks, Robby.”
“I mean it.” He bumps your arm gently. He watches you for a moment, one, two, then three. There’s something unreadable in his expression — not quite a smile, but close.
“What?” You ask.
He pauses, like he’s weighing something. “Just thinking,” he says finally. “You spend so much time holding it together, I don’t think I’ve ever really seen you let go.”
You snort. “What does that even mean?”
He gives a soft chuckle. “It means… I’ve seen you save lives without flinching. Seen you stand toe-to-toe with Jack when he’s in one of his moods. You don’t rattle easily. But tonight—”
“Tonight was different.”
“Yeah.” He doesn’t press. Just confirms it.
You sink down onto the concrete of the ledge, letting your head rest back against the railing. “I’m tired of pretending it doesn’t get to me.” You admit. “Like if I act detached enough, maybe I won’t crack.”
Robby sits beside you, careful not to crowd your space. “There’s nothing weak about cracking.” He says quietly. “What matters is that you keep showing up.”
You turn to look at him. He’s closer now, the warmth of his body radiating across the narrow space. There’s a softness in his gaze that you hadn’t noticed before — not the usual sarcasm or light teasing, but something gentler. Something more careful.
Your voice is barely above a whisper. “Why do you care so much?”
His lips twitch, like he’s debating whether to deflect. But then, he just says, “Because you matter. Because you walk into the fire every day, and I don’t think anyone tells you often enough how much that means.”
You feel your heart stutter, just a little. “You don’t have to fix me, Robby.”
“I’m not trying to.” He tilts his head slightly, earnest. “I just want you to know you’re not alone in it.”
The silence stretches again, but this one feels changed. Less heavy. More charged.
You don’t reach for him. He doesn’t reach for you. But there’s something in the air — not quite spoken, not acted on — just held between you like breath.
You watch silently as the sun spills gold across the skyline, your head now leaning on his shoulder. Your cheek warms where it rests against his scrubs.
“Still thinking about jumping?” He teases, voice low.
“Maybe into your arms,” you murmur, half-joking.
Robby chuckles, warm and quiet. “Careful. You keep saying things like that and I might start getting ideas.”
You smile, more than content. "I think I'm alright with that."
You’re definitely alright with that…

The Day He Lost Her
Note: Okay here's my first attempt at writing Jack...I don't love it, I don't hate it...the ending...meh? Some !widower Jack
Warnings: mentions of death, fluff, nightmares, DUI
Summary: Jack relives the worst day of his life.
Jack had been having a good day. He got up at 5, went for a run, woke up his wife Julia with a strong cup of coffee, a hot shower which he shared with his favourite person and quickly downed his breakfast before kissing her softly, promising to text her later and rushing off for his day shift at PTMC. The first half of the day continued as normal, no horrible traumas, just the usual; drug overdoses, allergic reactions and a few unhoused people who were simply trying to get out of the cold streets of Pittsburgh. Jack found himself sitting at his station finishing up a chart, his leg not bothering him for once because he wasn’t rushing around from trauma to trauma. It was a rare day, but he wasn’t about to look a gift horse in the mouth. Robby was there, chatting with the nurses about his plans for his upcoming stretch of days off.
And then, like a switch was flipped, it changed with a single ring of the trauma phone. There was a brief pause at the nursing station as Dana took the call, everyone ready to jump into motion like the well-oiled machine that they were. Dana glanced between him and Robby before hanging up. “Break times over, MVC, two incoming, one with head trauma suspected DUI, the second ejected, I don’t know much else, ETA 7 minutes”
Immediately the room was bustling with the nurses dividing themselves and readying two trauma rooms. Jack watched as Dana pulled Robby to the side, talking in hushed tones causing a pit to settle in Jack’s gut. He doesn’t have time to think about it though because paramedics are rushing through the doors. “47-year-old male, Anthony Robbinson, involved in a two car MVC, suspected to be DUI, witnesses said he was all over the damn place, likely head trauma, cuts and contusions…well…everywhere. His victim is about a minute behind us.”
Jack jumped into action, guiding the medics into one of the readied trauma rooms as the team got to work. He works, ignoring anything not related to his patient and the team helping him, retreating into combat mode, at least until he hears the medics giving report to Robby from outside the room. “36-year-old female, victim of a DUI, went through the windshield when the seatbelt failed. Head trauma, LOC since impact, multiple broken bones, intubated in the bus, she’s crashed on us twice. She’s got more lacerations and contusions than I’ve ever seen. ID says her name is Julia Abbot.”
At the sound of his wife’s name his world all but stopped. He had to focus on his patient for the moment, until someone else could take over for him. The same patient who (allegedly) was the reason his wife was in the next room. It’s not long before Dana is running in with several senior residents trailing after her, ready to take over. “Jack…we need you in Robby’s room, now!” Jack immediately drops everything, knowing that if Dana, always unflappable, is upset, then this wasn’t going to be good.
Jack steals himself before entering the room. If it hadn’t been for the fact that he recognized the rings he put on her finger and the clothes she’d been wearing when he left, he wouldn’t have recognized her. Normally calm and cool under pressure, the one everyone goes to when they need someone to be the voice of reason…he felt the room start to spin as he watched Mateo giving chest compressions and heard the cracking of the ribs under his hands.
---
Your eyes snap open, hearing Jack mumbling incoherently in his sleep. Immediately you recognized that he was having a nightmare. It happens often, less so these days, but often enough that you can typically recognize what the nightmare was of by the sounds he made or how he reacted. A lot of the time when he has them, he doesn’t remember the next day, which is a blessing. Sometimes, the nightmares were about Covid. Other nights they were about his time as a combat medic, both of his patients and of the day he lost his leg. But every so often he dreams about the day he lost Julie. That one affects him for days.
You leaned over, turning on the lamp on your nightstand and squinting to watch him for a second. Gauging just which nightmare it is. He mumbles Julie’s name, and you immediately get ready to wake him up. Dreams about Julie, you could wake him immediately, the same for anything Covid related. But war related nightmares required a process. You sat yourself up against the headboard and gently shook his shoulder. “Jack. Wake up honey, you’re having a nightmare.” When he doesn’t wake up immediately you frown, normally he would wake quickly. You shake him again, freezing when his mumbling changes from Julie’s name to yours. You shake him a little harder this time and his eyes snap open, his chest heaving and his eyes darting around the room in a panic.
He sits up, almost unnaturally fast for someone who had just been dead asleep. “Hey! Hey, its okay, you’re okay.” I reached out, framing his face in my hands, needing to ground him, reminding him that while Julie was gone, and had been for 6 years, that he was okay. It took him a minute or so to calm down, his breathing ragged as he stared into your face. You could see the moment when he was back with you. “Hey, you, okay? Talk to me Jack, don’t shut me out.”
Jack’s entire body shuddered as he took a deep breath before he grabbed you, pulling you into his lap and holding you so close, so tightly, that you could tell that he thought you were going to disappear. You carded your fingers through his hair, gently, whispering soothing words in his ear. When he finally calms down, he pulls away, just enough to look you in the eye. You smiled softly at him, knowing it was what he needed.
“It was different this time” It came out a whisper but you’d heard it, and your eyes narrow in confusion. “At the end…Julie turned into you…I lost you both.” You nodded, understanding why he was so…out of it now. That was new for sure. You leaned on him, reaching for his hand and pressing it to your chest so that he could feel your heart beating under it.
“I’m here Jack, I’m here and I can’t promise that nothing bad will happen, but right here, right now, I am here, I am safe.” You watched as Jack’s eyes closed, his hand still on your chest, you could tell he was lost in the feeling of your heart beating. After a minute or two he opened his eyes again, more focused, and let out a breath before shimmying down to lay on his back again and pulling you with him, his arms wrapped tightly around you before he kissed your forehead. “Thank you…I love you.”
He didn’t say it often, Jack showed it in action, but hearing him say it made you smile, it also let you know just how rattled he was. But it didn’t matter, because no matter what happened you had his back, just like you knew he had yours.
“I love you too”

Hello, how are you doing? I’ve come with more questions >:3
1. Since cannonly Graves’ died in MW2, how is he alive? Did some cute girl/boy/enby necromance him or something? Or was it something more reasonable and realistic. Hell, was he even in the area when he was supposedly killed.
2. Is MW3 cannon in the ShadowDadlderverse? I hear it’s really really bad and not many or everyone considers it to be not cannon. This question goes hand in hand with the former
3. How did Graves’ feel when he realized that his dad wasn’t a hero? Did his finding out happen to coincide with Bell? Or is Graves still blind to what Addler did to Bell?
4. Since the Shadows are notably close in their verse, they most likely have game night. What games and movies do they play while together? What games and movies are banned?
5. Since I cannot go five questions without asking about fantasy and dnd, what would Graves character sheet look like? Class, race, backstory, spells, weapons, etc.
6. why is last name Graves? Is it his mother’s last name? Does like 7-11 call him Phillip A. Grave when pissed or something?(i definitely need to dig into the gas station man)
7. What is relationship with Laswell? And maybe if you’re feeling extra extra dangerous, maybe say what you picture Laswell’s wife to look like.
8. Also how old do you think Graves is? He can easily be seen as like 25-41. Or how old you think he is in your Au?
I know I am definitely asking some pretty deepish questions when it comes to your Au, but I like to learn. I especially like to learn about characters. And since your interpretation of Graves’ is currently scratching the itch I am internally inclined to ask these questions.
Stay safe!
Okaay here i gooo
1. I rly believe that tank was an unmanned vehicle that Graves controlled remotely while Soap ran around frantically XD hurling insults and a Shadow thumping him on the shoulder when he got carried away.
2. The only canon a peel off of mw3 and slap onto the Shadowdadler verse is that Makky is at large and Graves flew off into the sunset|
3. It depends on how he found out. If Graves knew what his father did at an early age, it’s be less of a shock. If Adler was honest about why a masked man was lurking somewhere nearby, told his son that he hurt one person for the sake of millions, it’d be better than if he tried to hide his actions. It wouldn’t surprise me if adult Graves grew to have a similar mentality as his father.
4. Game night’s full of multiplayer games (snash bros, mario party, MvC, etc). There’s a DnD session off to a corner. Ruined jenga towers litter the floor. A circle if Shadows play charades. Monopoly is DEFINITELY banned, too many fights break out. Any high shakes gambling on card games is also prohibited (there Shadows who are talented at card counting and sleight of hand). Any and all genres of movies are watches, with the exception of the Star Wars sequels. Those are unanimously banned.
5. I’d die if Graves was still the leader of a mercenary group but classed as a bard XD high charisma definitely. Still human. Idk enough about DnD as a whole to say what spells he’s gonna use but I like ghe idea of him boosting his part members that do the fighting
6. Ok so in one of my Dadler comics, Adler fights off and kills enemy agents that wanna target him and lil Phillip. He buries them in their backyard. Phillip learns one day that there are dead bodies there. Learns that they had to die for him to keep living. He’s looking at graves. The memory would stick with him. Lol 7-11 calls Graves Sir when the commanders being stubborn ir reckless 🤣 (funny, the Lt. can be just as stubborn and reckless)
7. Oh! I like her and the role she plays. I liked the sneaky sneaky part she had~ Her wife? I picture her a bit taller than Laswell. She’d be a brunette, soft featured, a bit tanned, down to earth and honest about her thoughts and feelings, something Laswell appreciates as someone used to subterfuge.
8. I got Graves at a solid 40. A tiny bit seasoned to be out in the field, but still young enough to be effective. He ages gracefully 🥰 hehehe
#that was an interview lmaoo i had fun!!!!#and thanks for asking!!#ask#call of duty#phillip graves#shadow company#mw2#mw3

Welcome to part 5 of our X-Men vs. Street Fighter 2 Roster.
Rules:
1. X-Men and Street Fighter Characters only*
2. No Deadpool, Kamala Khan, Wanda, Pietro, or Namor will be added to the base roster.
*: For the Base Roster
Now, here are our new challengers, or in this case, old challengers.

Why were Sakura and Silver Samurai added?
Aside from Sakura being a highly popular street fighter, Alpha 2 didn't have any other newcomers, every one was veteran from the first 2 Street Fighters or Final Fight characters, which I'll talk about at a later date.
Silver Samurai is here because I see Silver Samurai as a semi-major X-Men villain, yet he's not in Marvel Snap, Contest of Champions, or Crisis Protocol, also since Sakura was an MvC veteran I decided to add another veteran as well.
Now, onto the newcomers from Alpha 3, and most of them are not of note or didn't first appear in a Street Fighter. But we do have 2 remaining.

Spent most of my day making a roster for a hypothetical Marvel vs. Capcom game where none of the playable characters from any of the other games in the series are allowed on the roster. So like, no returning characters at ALL. A fun lil exercise.
25 characters from each Marvel and Capcom, and honestly isn't as awful as I would have expected (but would still be the worst MvC roster, lol)
(The cast isn't imbalanced, I just have Reed and Sue as a single character, where Reed does the main attacks, and Sue comes out for Blocks/Grabs and some other animations. I played too much Mortal Kombat as a youth to let an invisible character exist on the roster. PLUS, combining Reed and Sue let's you make a 3v3 team with the whole Fantastic Four, which is cool)
my main takeaways are that:
MvC has already used most of the good villains from both companies. (and the remaining villains are either very passive trickster types, or too massive and cosmic to exist as a fighting game character outside of a boss fight)
It's fucked up trying to make a roster for an MvC game when basically all the Avengers and Street Fighters are off the table. I ALSO did not want LUKE as the main SF protagonist representation, but he's definitely the closest to a "main Street Fighter character" that hasn't already been used in MvC.
A lot of the popular Marvel heroes that are not already a part of MvC are fucking LAMEEEEEEEEE. I don't care how obscure we have to get, I'm not putting fucking Namor and Ant-Man on my fucking fighting game roster.
It was really hard to narrow down the Street Fighter cast, but I feel pretty good with Hugo as our big body grappler and 3rd Strike rep, and then having Juri from 4 and Rashid from 5. I like these Street Fighters a lot.
The fact that MvC hasn't had Punisher, Fury, Luke Cage, Daredevil, the Fantastic Four, Nightcrawler or honestly just a LOT of these characters on their rosters yet is a lil mind blowing. I like these characters, I think they rule. ALSO FUCKING BLADEEEEEE. I think Capcom hates money.
Capcom has a lotta good fighting game rosters that have never popped up in an MvC game as well. The designs for the Red Earth cast, as well as the casts for Rival Schools and Power Stone are fun as hell. Also, Picking Darkstalkers representatives is hard as hell, because despite MvC already using like, half the DS characters in other MvC titles, the remaining half of the DS roster ALSO kicks ass.
It was really hard to find enough Marvel characters I liked to keep up with how many Capcom characters I wanted to add, forcing a few heart breaking cuts on the Capcom side. I would've really wanted another Rival Schools/PJ character, Victor (or honestly any other remaining DS character), Saki (using her TvC moves), as well as one of several SF characters. Ultimately I couldn't really add more to the Capcom side without having to start adding some real duds to the Marvel side (like fucking Namor)
No Dead Rising characters because all their characters outside of Frank suck ASSSSSS. I do not like Chuck. I almost cut Ace Attorney as a series as well because I had a hard time imagining a character who would work as well as Phoenix and Maya. Ultimately I thought having Ryunosuke and Herlock (who would unintentionally attack people while showboating) felt like the best option. (Although Franziska would have been fun too, or an Apollo & friends character)
Mr. X, Birkin, Lady D, Saddler, and Salazar are nowhere as cool as Nemesis and Wesker (I kinda like Berkin mutation #2, but 🤷🤷). Ultimately I could not think of another RE character that fit the roster as well. I thought about having Leon as a gun mcshooty like Chris, and then having Rebecca or Claire with a missiles/zombie summoning moveset like Jill in MvC2, but that felt like a copout to just have MvC2 Jill again. +Although I kinda still like the idea of Rebecca with a healing support assist type thing, since she's a medic.) Ultimately I just went with Leon as the lone rep (with Regina acting as a second survival horror representative character, summoning Dinos the way MvC2 Jill does with Zombies)
Gene Godhand is finally on the roster (as he always should have been) as the sole representative for all the Clover Games, since Amatarasu and Viewtiful Joe were already used. If you haven't played God Hand, please do, it is very good.
I could not imagine good enough movesets for JJ Jameson and Edgeworth to justify adding them, despite thinking they are both very funny. I also cut Moon Girl because I didn't wanna imagine any of these characters beating the shit outta a lil girl, no matter how smart she is or how kick ass her dinosaur is. Also couldn't think of how Xavier would fight, since even whenever he does take a rare combat role, it's all telepathic tricks and such. Same with Mystique.
Also, no Red Skull because his ass is just a nazi, and I didn't want to imagine any of these characters collaborating with his nasty ass. Which is a shame because he would definitely be a much needed additional villain, and I think he could have a funny moveset of constantly summoning goons like his fellow fighting game nazi Parasol who summons her egrets.
Black Cat, JJ, Kingpin, Kraven, Spider Gwen, and honestly every member of the Sinister Six because I did not want the whole Marvel cast to be "Oops, All Spiderman". Spiderman really has a monopoly on all the great marvel villains who aren't either cosmic level deities or X-Men villains.
Some characters just don't feel right without their counterparts. Like, I feel like adding Red Hulk without Hulk would be a bit fucked up. Or Hercules without Thor. JJ without Peter Parker. Killmonger without Black Panther. Franziska or Edgeworth without Phoenix. Ya know?
I thought about adding The Arisen and a Pawn from Dragon's Dogma, but I don't know how interesting the moveset could be. Also, the main feature I always think about from the DD games is climbing like a jackass on all the enemies, and I cannot think of a way to add that to a fighting game that wouldn't be miserable.
lastly, some characters were totally chill to add, but went against the SPIRIT of the exercise. Stuff like Evil Ryu, Violent Ken, Captain Carter, Red Hulk and Carnage (who are both way too close to the secret characters Orange Hulk and Red Venom), Zero (from the Mega Man Zero series, as opposed to Zero from the Mega Man X series, even though I really think Zero from MMZero is very cool in SvC Chaos), the very cool and mysterious Paper Bag Man, and the 10000 cases of "character takes up a mantle that used to belong to a other person". Obviously I ended up making exceptions to this thought process for Miles, Gwenpool, and MegaMan Volnutt, but I honestly think these characters would end up having different enough movesets to differentiate themselves from Spidey, Deadpool, and Rock or X. (and also I just really like them so boo hoo)
Ultimately, I think this would be a pretty terrible roster when compared to the other MvC titles, but it was a fun thing to think about. Thank you for reading all this if ya did read it, lol.

Spring Boot Interview Questions: Prepare for Success
Spring Boot has become one of the most popular frameworks in the Java ecosystem, streamlining robust and scalable web application development. Whether you’re a seasoned developer or just getting started, acing a Spring Boot interview can be a significant milestone in your career. To help you prepare effectively, here are the latest Spring Boot interview questions that will test your knowledge and give you a deeper understanding of how the framework works. These questions will be beneficial if you're pursuing a Spring Boot Certification Training Course at eMexo Technologies, in Electronic City Bangalore.
1. What is Spring Boot, and how is it different from Spring Framework?
This is a fundamental question that often appears in Spring Boot interviews. Spring Boot is an extension of the Spring Framework to simplify the development process. It eliminates the need for extensive XML configuration and provides default configurations to facilitate rapid application development. Spring Framework requires developers to configure components manually, while Spring Boot auto-configures them.
By understanding this, you can highlight how Spring Boot training in Electronic City Bangalore at eMexo Technologies helps developers focus more on writing business logic rather than dealing with complex configurations.
2. What are the main features of Spring Boot?
Spring Boot stands out due to several features:
Auto-Configuration: Automatically configures your application based on the libraries on the classpath.
Embedded Servers: It allows the deployment of web applications on embedded servers like Tomcat, Jetty, and Undertow.
Spring Boot Starters: Pre-configured templates that simplify dependency management.
Spring Boot CLI: A command-line interface that allows you to develop Spring applications quickly.
Actuator: Monitors and manages application performance.
These features make Spring Boot an attractive option for developers, which is why the best Spring Boot training institute in Electronic City Bangalore emphasizes hands-on experience with these functionalities.
3. What is the role of @SpringBootApplication in Spring Boot?
The @SpringBootApplication annotation is a core part of Spring Boot, often referred to as the ‘meta-annotation.’ It is a combination of three annotations:
@Configuration: Marks the class as a configuration class for Spring Beans.
@EnableAutoConfiguration: Enables Spring Boot’s auto-configuration feature.
@ComponentScan: Scans the components within the specified package.
This annotation is crucial to understanding Spring Boot’s internal architecture and its ability to simplify configuration.
4. What is Spring Boot Starter, and how is it useful?
A Spring Boot Starter is a set of pre-configured dependencies that simplify the inclusion of libraries in your project. For instance, spring-boot-starter-web includes everything you need for web development, like Spring MVC, embedded Tomcat, and validation support.
Starters save a lot of time, as they eliminate the need to find and include individual dependencies manually. When studying at eMexo Technologies, you’ll get an in-depth look at the variety of Spring Boot Starters available and their importance in building scalable applications.
5. What is a Spring Boot Actuator, and how is it used?
Spring Boot Actuator provides production-ready features to help monitor and manage your Spring Boot application. It offers a wide array of tools like health checks, metrics, and auditing endpoints. The actuator allows you to easily monitor application performance, which is a crucial aspect of microservices-based applications.
6. What are Microservices, and how does Spring Boot help in building them?
Microservices are small, independent services that work together in a larger application. Each service is responsible for a specific business functionality and can be developed, deployed, and maintained independently. Spring Boot simplifies the development of microservices by providing tools like Spring Cloud and Spring Boot Actuator.
7. How does Spring Boot handle dependency injection?
Dependency Injection (DI) is a key feature of the Spring Framework, and Spring Boot uses it to manage object creation and relationships between objects automatically. In Spring Boot, DI is usually handled through annotations like @Autowired, @Component, and @Service.
8. How can you configure a Spring Boot application?
Spring Boot applications can be configured in multiple ways:
application.properties or application.yml files.
Using the @Configuration classes.
Via command-line arguments.
Environment variables.
9. What are profiles in Spring Boot, and how are they used?
Profiles in Spring Boot allow developers to create different configurations for different environments. For example, you can have one profile for development, one for testing, and one for production. You can specify which profile to use by setting it in the application.properties file or as a command-line argument.
10. What are the limitations of Spring Boot?
Despite its many benefits, Spring Boot has some limitations:
Lack of control over auto-configuration can sometimes lead to unexpected behaviors.
Increased memory usage due to embedded servers.
Limited flexibility in large-scale applications that require extensive custom configuration.
Addressing these limitations demonstrates that you have a well-rounded understanding of the framework and can make informed decisions about when and where to use it.
11. How does Spring Boot handle security?
Spring Boot simplifies security through Spring Security, which can be easily integrated into your application. By adding the spring-boot-starter-security dependency, you can configure authentication and authorization in a few lines of code. You can also customize login, registration, and session management features.
12. What is the role of the Spring Initializr in Spring Boot?
The Spring Initializr is an online tool used to generate Spring Boot projects. It allows developers to choose the dependencies and configuration options before downloading the skeleton code. This tool speeds up the initial setup phase, saving time and effort.
In conclusion, being well-prepared for Spring Boot interviews is crucial, especially in a competitive job market. Whether you're taking a Spring Boot course in Electronic City Bangalore or aiming for Spring Boot Certification Training, knowing these key concepts will give you the edge you need. At eMexo Technologies, you’ll receive hands-on training, not just theory, preparing you to answer interview questions and excel in your career confidently.

Marvel VS Capcom 4EVER - The Perfect Dream Game
(This is going to be something different from my blog's usual content. I don't just love pokemon, I'm also a really big fan of crossover fighters. My very first fandom was Super Smash Bros. and it was where I started writing fanfics. I may not be all that good at 2D traditional fighting games, but I enjoy the time I spend on them. As such, I will be talking about Marvel vs Capcom and what I would want the 4th game to look like)
-
The Marvel VS Capcom series is a franchise founded on hopes and dreams. When an unlikely collaboration spawns one of the most fantastical crossover events in history, well before Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was conceived, you can imagine that it is fondly remembered and well regarded in its popularity and gameplay.
And yet, with such powerful Intellectual Properties populating the series, the games are rife with copyright power struggles and negotiations. So much so, that the game had been in limbo for as many years as it had been played competitively. The demand is there, the problem is that no one can decide how much money both sides should be making to allow for a character to be put into the game and to get punched in the face.
To put it into perspective, Marvel VS Capcom 2 came out in 2000, and it pulled a Masahiro Sakurai and included every character from the past games plus a little extra. The game was entirely 2D with mostly reused sprites, which is how it got away with a whopping 56 characters on the roster right out the gate. This also created some balancing issues as the top tier characters from previous games were also top tier here as well, though that topic of discussion is beyond my area of expertise. All you need to know is, there's a reason all the top level matches have the same 5 or so characters.
Now, as for Marvel VS Capcom 3, that title came out in 2011, a whole 10 years after the arcade experience was brought home. The hype was still there, but the series would run into some licensing issues in the background. It's how we got Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 less than a year later, and how Marvel VS Capcom Infinite came out the way it did. Though perhaps it would be best if you, the reader, looked into that yourself, as I'd rather talk about Marvel VS Capcom 4, or rather, what it could potentially be.
Since the Marvel VS Capcom Fighting Collection was announced, I have been ecstatic about finally owning these games that I would rarely see. I didn't go to arcades all that often, but I always liked going to look at all the cabinets and all the games I've never seen before. Remember, arcades were a big deal back in the day, and the internet wasn't, so this is where you would discover games you haven't heard about. This is how I learned about Marvel VS Capcom, and how I fell in love with crossover fighters in general. I was a 90's kid growing up, so these quarter consuming cabinets were like a vivid dream to experience. And being on the autism spectrum meant that a strong first impression would consume my waking thoughts for years on end. It's my hope that a rail shooter collection comes out soon so that I can reexperience 'The Ocean Hunter' in all its glory.
Back to the topic at hand, the rerelease of these games would imply that relations between Marvel and Capcom have mellowed enough that all the licensing headaches for this collection passed like a mild flu. It's a bit of wishful thinking, but the door might be open for a potential new iteration of Marvel VS Capcom. I mean, everyone has been talking about it lately, so I figured I'd put in my own two cents.
Before we begin, we do have to go over why MVC Infinite isn't being given the honorary title of number 4, and there are a few reasons. One of them being the confusing order of titles of the franchise. Marvel VS Capcom 2 is actually the 4th in the series, starting with X-Men VS Street Fighter, though it could also be the 6th of you started with X-Men: Children Of The Atom. So what would that make UMVC3? It was an updated rerelease sold less than a year after MVC3, so does it count or should it be a separate thing? MVC Infinite didn't use a number in their title, though if you tilted the ∞ sign you would get the number 8, which is the exact number of games in the series if you count UMVC3 as a hefty DLC bundle.
The other reason is because of all the executive meddling that poisoned the roster. What is a Marvel VS Capcom game without Wolverine or any of the X-Men? Well, you get MVC Infinite, that's what. On top of the squandered roster, there were loads of criticisms over the models looking the way they do. I'm not gonna dwell on this bit for too long, but don't be surprised when you hear people boldly claim that Infinite isn't a true MVC game.
So, what would a Marvel VS Capcom 4 look like? Everyone has their own ideas, but it seems that no one can decide on a concrete roster for Launch Day. I specify 'Launch Day' as it's to be expected that a big game like MVC4 will have DLC, it's how you keep a game like this alive for as long as there is work to be done. I mean, I've yet to hear anyone complain about DLC for this series, except for when UMVC3 was announced, but that is the exception that proves the rule. As long as it doesn't happen again, you can do no wrong.
Well, what do I think? After all, this is my post, my idea. As such, I'm proposing a base roster of the best of both worlds, the absolute pinnacle of popularity for the birth of the best beat 'em up game ever made. I'm talking the top picks like Cyclops, Ryu, Wolverine, Chun-Li, Captain America, Mega Man, Deadpool, Dante, all the fan favorites that would guarantee a Day 1 buy for everyone.
But I'm also proposing a massive DLC roadmap for the game's foreseeable future. With a plan of releasing new characters for the game as time wears on, the starting roster and number of characters don't really matter that much. Granted, there are some characters who are nonnegotiable for the starting roster, like Spider-Man and Morrigan, but as long as everyone understands that there will be loads of DLC characters coming down the line, you can guarantee that Launch Day sales will go through the roof.
Think of this potential game to function like Fortnite, or more specifically, like a live service. Now, I know that live service games have performed very poorly, but that's usually because of bone-headed executives making the decisions for the developers. There are live service games that do very well, like Splatoon for instance, or the aforementioned Fortnite. Since the plan is to gradually release new content, it'll pay to make everything accessible to the players by turning it into a live service.
Of course there's the issue of what the base price for the game will be or if new characters will be paywalled. You have to charge SOMETHING to make a profit, especially if you want to pay your team to make new characters. In a perfect world, the game and characters would be free and all the monetization would be made through cosmetics. But the fairest asking price would be between $60 and $70, with the promise that all characters released through DLC will be free. Of course, the developers and the company won't leave the money on the table, they'll probably whip up a battlepass or something to engage daily play. Again, as long as the characters are free and everything else is cosmetic, we can't complain too much...
In order to keep the game fresh, however, new character releases should be released in bundles. Even with the starting roster of about 30 or so characters, fans will always want something more out of the game. But the developers are only human, and crunch time is one of the worst things you can do your workers. As such, the DLC shall be 'seasonal' with each release period being named after a Marvel VS Capcom title. For instance, 3 months after the release of Marvel VS Capcom 4, the first seasonal DLC will be called 'X-Men VS Street Fighter' with 6 new characters from these Intellectual Properties, and more coming later down the line. The seasonal DLC will last until a sufficient number of X-Men and Street Fighter characters have been added to the roster. That might get stale quickly, though, so maybe the rest will come out later in between seasons.
Following this trend, after 'X-Men VS Street Fighter' we'll get the 'Marvel Super Heroes VS Darkstalkers' DLC pack. And then following that, we can get the 'Clash of Super Heroes' pack, which is the subtitle for Marvel VS Capcom (which is the fifth game). Then comes 'New Age of Heroes', followed by the 'Fate of Two Worlds' pack, then the 'Ultimate' Pack, and finally the 'Infinite' pack. The idea here is to cram this $70 game full of characters so that everyone who bought it will have their money's worth, and all the fans get all the characters they could ever want. Masahiro Sakurai, the Lead Developer of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, left the industry with one of the most ambitious crossover games of history. A dreamed up version of Marvel VS Capcom 4 has to meet and exceed this insurmountable expectation of crossover greatness. Even if I'm not all that familiar with either Marvel or Capcom properties, I would want nothing less than to make as many people happy as possible.
So that's the plan, but what about the gameplay? I mean, you can't just release Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 again with more characters and expect everyone to be happy, right? I mean, no, but the ironic thing is that a lot of people would love to have that. In fact, there's a massive mod scene behind UMVC3 right now and they're adding in loads of characters. If you're comfortable with tinkering around a bit in computer files, I highly recommend giving it a look. (It's also extra apparent at how apathetic people are about
MVC: I, though that game is also getting its own mod update).
youtube
Anyway, as for gameplay, if we HAD to add something, I had the idea of throwing in something called the 4EVER Assist. It's why I titled the post the way I did, as this is how you add even more characters to the game. See, back in Marvel VS Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, there was a random assist feature that you could pick along with your two main characters. This is where a majority of the games new sprite work came from, aside from newcomers like Venom and Captain Commando. Basically, you technically had a team of three characters, though the assist varied in strength and usage. The weaker and less effective assists could be called more often, but the stronger and better assists had very limited calls.
This assist system had very little risk to the player, which is why each one was ratioed with different number of uses. In other installments, each chosen fighter could be called for an assist, but summoning them recklessly could leave them vulnerable to combos from the enemy. But if you got clipped along with the assist you called, well, expect the crowd to start singing 'Happy Birthday', if you know what I mean.
Anyway, for my idea of Marvel VS Capcom 4EVER, both assist systems are combined, turning what was traditionally a 3v3 fighting game into a 4v4. The 4th character cannot be controlled, but they offer some benefits over regular fighters. For one, the player will never be out of assists if they are brought down to their last character, making comebacks a lot more feasible. Secondly, all characters on the roster can be delegated as the 4EVER assist and allows them to use exclusive moves when called as an assist. And thirdly, since it is only one move, you can have new characters exclusive to the 4EVER assist list that otherwise wouldn't make the cut, like Nick Fury or Cut Man. Not to say that these characters can't be promoted to fully fledged fighters down the line, but it'd be nice to have them around otherwise.
I've also got the idea of adding something called the 4EVER Ability, a passive effect unique to each fighter. This is closer in execution to Pokemon Abilities but tailored to the team fighter combat system. Basically, each fighter offers a different boon that affects the whole team, and since you can choose three fighters and a 4EVER assist, you can have four passive abilities active at once. However, if a fighter gets KO'd, their 4EVER Ability is negated for the rest of the match, leading to a structural degradation of team synergy. Of course, the 4EVER assist cannot be KO'd, so a player can make a last stand with at least two active 4EVER Abilities in play.
Here's a short list of 4EVER Abilities that would be in the game and their function:
Cyclops - "Dreams don't die!"
Super Meter Generation is increased by 1.5x
(Hitting and getting hit generates Super Meter, which can be used for Super Attacks, so an ability to hasten that generation is useful.)
Ryu - "I walk the path of a true warrior!"
All 🡳🡶🡺P attacks deal 2x more damage.
(This boon is restricted to Punch attacks, but all attacks, Supers, and Assists that use this motion get the power boost.)
Wolverine - "I'm the best at what I do."
Your combo is more resistant to Damage Decay.
(The later installments of MVC have a Damage Decay system where the longer the combo drags on for, the less damage you'll deal overall. Other fighting games have this. Wolverine's ability caps the damage drop-off much earlier.)
Ken - "Here's to a good fight!"
All 🡺🡳🡶P attacks deal 2x more damage.
(Same as Ryu's ability, but for 'dragon punch' motion attacks.)
Spider-Man - "With great power, comes great responsibility."
Damage increases by 2x for each bar of Super Meter you have.
(With you being able to control 3 characters, the Super Meter maxes out to 5, meaning a potential 10x damage increase for your combo. The damage is instantly reduced when you spend some for a Super, however.)
Mega Man - "Mega Buster, Power UP!"
Super Attacks deal 2.5x more damage.
(Super Attacks cost Super Meter, but they hit very hard, can fill the screen with damage, or even be used to counter other attacks. However, Mega Man's ability is still susceptible to Damage Decay, which Super Attacks tend to generate quickly.)
Hulk - "Hulk is strongest there is!"
Damage is increased the more HP you have.
(This ability grants a massive power boost in the first minute of the fight, but it wavers later on. Tagging in other characters is also risky if they are brought in recklessly and lose some HP during their assist calls.)
Captain Commando - "Let's go, Commandos!"
Assists deal more damage the more HP they have.
(Because of how integral Assists are to making combos, dealing more damage through assists is a powerful asset. But it can only scale up with how healthy you keep your teammates.)
Captain America - "Freedom prevails!"
Reduces damage taken while blocking.
(This one is self-explanatory, given how strong Cap's adamantium shield is. It's also crucial in avoiding chip damage during critical moments, as most attacks will still whittle down your HP bar, even while blocking.)
Mike Haggar - "The Mayor of America!"
Throws deal more damage and it is easier to Tech Throws.
(In contrast, working around blocking means knowing how to throw your enemies. This boon also increases the damage dealt through command throws. When you get grabbed, you have a very short window of time to input a grab to negate the attack, this is called a Tech Throw. This ability widens the window by a few frames, but keep in mind that command throws cannot be Teched.)
Doctor Doom - "Defeat is beneath Doom!"
Damage increases gradually the lower your team's HP is.
(MVC3 and UMVC3 had a comeback mechanic called X Factor, where activating it increased your speed and power drastically. But the less teammates you had, the greater the boost, functioning as a divisive comeback mechanic. I'm not sure if MVC4 will have a similar mechanic, so I'm a little hesitant to put something similar as an ability.)
M. Bison - "This place will become your grave!"
Damage dealt to the enemy increases the more Ichor they have.
(In nearly all versions of MVC, there is an HP mechanic called red HP or something to that effect, I don't think it was ever officially named. Anyway, when you get hit, a portion of your HP lost turns into red HP, which you can recover later through healing specials or by tagging out and waiting. In MVC4, this will be called Ichor, meaning this ability deals gradually increasing damage to the enemy as the combo continues.)
Ghost Rider - "Feel the weight of your sins brand your soul."
Counter Specials and Super Attacks deal 3.5x more damage.
(In MVC, Counters in general are rare and rarely used due to how team supers function. As such, this ability grants a massive boost in damage to those specials if they land.)
Dante - "Now it's a party!"
Attack and Speed increase a little bit during Installs. Also extends the duration of Installs by a little bit.
(An 'Install' is traditionally a temporary transformation into a slightly different character, but they typically add in buffed stats and extra moves. You can call it a temporary self buff that may or may not cost Super Meter. It should be noted that Installs do not run out when the character is tagged out and is retained when the character is called back in for an assist, which this ability will continue to boost the damage of.)
I have more examples but I think that'll do for now. The idea of a 'passive ability' system in a tag team fighting game is a bit foreign but since this game will have loads of characters, it helps to give each one a bit of personality.
I'll leave it at this for now. The irony here is that, if a Marvel VS Capcom 4 were to be in the works right now, I wouldn't be able to play it, owning only a Nintendo Switch right now. Maybe if the Switch 2 is real and can run more graphically intensive games, and that MVC4 gets a Switch 2 port. But this is all a dream for me, so it's time to wake up.
Thank you for reading this far. And remember, only two things last forever, diamonds, and MAHVEL.

10 security tips for MVC applications in 2023

Model-view-controller or MVC is an architecture for web app development. As one of the most popular architectures of app development frameworks, it ensures multiple advantages to the developers. If you are planning to create an MVC-based web app solution for your business, you must have known about the security features of this architecture from your web development agency. Yes, MVC architecture not only ensures the scalability of applications but also a high level of security. And that’s the reason so many web apps are being developed with this architecture. But, if you are looking for ways to strengthen the security features of your MVC app further, you need to know some useful tips.
To help you in this task, we are sharing our 10 security tips for MVC applications in 2023! Read on till the end and apply these tips easily to ensure high-security measures in your app.
1. SQL Injection: Every business has some confidential data in their app, which needs optimum security measures. SQL Injection is a great threat to security measures as it can steal confidential data through SQL codes. You need to focus on the prevention of SQL injection with parameterized queries, storing encrypted data, inputs validation etc.
2. Version Discloser: Version information can also be dangerous for your business data as it provides hackers with your specific version information. Accordingly, they can attempt to attack your app development version and become successful. Hence, you need to hide the information such as the server, x-powered-by, x-sourcefiles and others.
3. Updated Software: Old, un-updated software can be the reason for a cyber attack. The MVC platforms out there comprise security features that keep on updating. If you also update your MVC platform from time to time, the chances of a cyber attack will be minimized. You can search for the latest security updates at the official sites.
4. Cross-Site Scripting: The authentication information and login credentials of applications are always vulnerable elements that should be protected. Cross-Site Scripting is one of the most dangerous attempts to steal this information. Hence, you need to focus on Cross-Site Scripting prevention through URL encoding, HTML encoding, etc.
5. Strong Authentication: Besides protecting your authentication information, it’s also crucial to ensure a very strong authentication that’s difficult to hack. You need to have a strong password and multi-factor authentication to prevent unauthorized access to your app. You can also plan to hire security expert to ensure strong authentication of your app.
6. Session Management: Another vital security tip for MVA applications is session management. That’s because session-related vulnerabilities are also quite challenging. There are many session management strategies and techniques that you can consider such as secure cookie flags, session expiration, session regeneration etc. to protect access.
7. Cross-Site Request Forgery: It is one of the most common cyber attacks MVC apps are facing these days. When stires process forged data from an untrusted source, it’s known as Cross-Site Request Forgery. Anti-forgery tokens can be really helpful in protecting CSRP and saving your site from the potential danger of data leakage and forgery.
8. XXE (XML External Entity) Attack: XXE attacks are done through malicious XML codes, which can be prevented with the help of DtdProcessing. All you need to do is enable Ignore and Prohibit options in the DtdProcessing property. You can take the help of your web development company to accomplish these tasks as they are the best at it.
9. Role-Based Access Control: Every business has certain roles performed by different professionals, be it in any industry. So, when it comes to giving access to your MVC application, you can provide role-based access. This way, professionals will get relevant information only and all the confidential information will be protected from unauthorized access.
10. Security Testing: Finally, it’s really important to conduct security testing on a regular basis to protect business data on the app from vulnerability. Some techniques like vulnerability scanning and penetration testing can be implied to ensure regular security assessments. It’s crucial to take prompt actions to prevent data leakage and forgery as well.
Since maintaining security should be an ongoing process rather than a one-time action, you need to be really proactive with the above 10 tips. Also, choose a reliable web development consulting agency for a security check of your website or web application. A security expert can implement the best tech stack for better security and high performance on any website or application.
