• The alarm clock interrupted your sweet slumber you groaned your hair was in your face and drool soaked in your pillow you lifted your head enough to see what time it was "FUCK ITS 8:30" You ran all over the place your cat you named Xin watching you curiously with her head tilt to the side watching you running all over the place getting yourself dress brushing your teeth and everything once you get ready you grabbed xin put her in your basket and rode your bike to the bakery

She pulled out her phone scrolled back a couple of photos and showed you a picture you and Tsuyu took together it was a selfie of you and Tsuyu posing at the mall riding on those animal cars "OMG IT IS YOU!" You open across the table and the two of you hug tightly "Wait..tokoyami!?" He was shocked that you remembered him "Wait you remember me too?" "OFC! we were always study buddies whenever we did class projects! And you always wanted to invite Tsuyu here~" Tokoyami blushed and looked away

•"Oh hush you know nothing" he muttered and you giggled "So what are doing these days it's been years! Jeez, I've seen you a couple of times on TV congrats!" Tsuyu's smile brightens "Well you know a bunch of heroes work and me and Tokoyami officially dating!" You squealed "Im so happy for you! The two of you are so cute together! "HMM I'll think I'll have the...mochi flavor cupcake how about you tokoyami!" Tokoyami kept staring at the menu carefully "can I have the Japanese cheesecake please?"

"Coming right up!" You use your Heelys and stroll to the back of the store you go back out to tell me that their order will be on their way

• After a few minutes, you got back with their order "Here you go one mochi cupcake and flavor cheesecake!" You handed them their treats in a small adorable box even tsuyu didn't want to eat the sweets or open the box "Thank you! Also, im wondering if can we catch up I really do miss you and I really really miss you alot we both do..heck I bet even most of our class misses you" you were a bit shocked at that statement "aw tsuyu ofc! Lemme write down my phone number and social media!"

You both gave each other your and their number "It was nice talking to you y/n! See you later!" Tokoyami quietly waved to you with a small smile, it was good to meet old friends maybe you could see them again as we-

You always hated when Tsu'tey had to leave, it always brought up those feelings from when the Skypeople attacked and you nearly lost him. Sure he was only going to hunt but that didn't stop all those negative outcomes running through your mind, as you tried to be supportive of him and how happy he was about leading the hunting party. Tsu noticed how quiet you were during dinner, only talking when spoken to, and at first, he thought you were tired from work but then he noticed the sad look on your face as everyone kept talking about the hunting trip tomorrow which made him worry, and you seemed to cling to him more than normal not he minded but he was worried now.

"Yawne are you okay?" He asked pulling you into his lap.

"Just worried about the hunting trip is all." You quietly said playing with one of his braids.

"Why are you worried?" He asked even though he felt he knew why.

"Worried about you, especially after the last time you left. I almost.....I almost lost you last time...I'm just scared is all." You said blinking away the tears that were threatening to fall as Tsu felt his heart clench at how scared you were.

He remembers the sky people war and how he thought he would never see you again and how he fought to come back to you not wanting to leave you alone in this world. He remembers the nightmares you suffered for months after he returned and how you practically glued to his side 24/7 out of worry that something would happen to him while you were gone.  It wasn't until he felt one of your tears hit his skin that he snapped out of his thoughts and looked down at you seeing the sobs softly rake through your body and break his heart in the process.

"Yawne, look at me. Can you look at me please?" He asked as he slightly leaned back so he could look into your eyes.

"Sorry I know I'm such a crybaby." You said wiping your eyes.

"Hey you are not a crybaby..you and I both went through something very traumatic but I promise you that I would never leave you willingly.  You are my life sweetheart, and I hate seeing you like this. What can I do to make you feel better about leaving tomorrow? Cancel the trip? Because I will do it with no questions asked, you're the only thing important to me." He said holding your face in his hands.

"No my love I couldn't possibly ask you to do it, and plus I'll never work through this if you stay here...You can go just promise that you will come back to me alive and unharmed.." You said.

"I promise you, it's only a few days and I'll have multiple people there watching my back. But all I'll be doing during the trip is counting down the minutes until I'm back here with you." He said nuzzling his head into your skin.

"I love you Tsu." You said.

"I love you too, my love. Let's get some rest." He said picking you up and carrying you to ya'lls bed.

You saw him off before he left where he promised you in between a million kisses that he would return to you. Once he left you went home and rested for a bit more, before getting up to find Neytiri and see if she need help. Over the next few days helping Neytiri was a great distraction for both you and your mind as you waited for the hunting party to return.

"How are you doing ma y/n?" She asked you.

"I'm alright. Just a little worried about Tsu is all." You said to her.

"I'm sure he's alright and will be back to you any time now. Thank you for helping me out while Jake was gone." She said to you.

You were about to respond to her when the horn went off signaling the party was back causing you to abandon you were work and her as you rushed to go greet Tsu'tey. You arrived there and pushed through the people as you saw him climbing off his Ikran and smiled once he saw you. You ran directly into his arms as he picked up and hugged you tightly as you did the same, feeling your anxiety leave your body now that he was back.

"I missed you yawne." He said setting you down but keeping his arms around you.

"I missed you too, my love. I'm glad your back." You said to him.

Part 7 of Sass and Squirrels

Xanxus bites multiple teachers, kicks a few and he thinks he successfully stabs another with his pencil. Tsunayoshi, used to his brother's violent tendencies, is unperturbed.

More importantly, however, Xanxus emerges victorious. He returns home with a happy Tsunayoshi, slightly bloody knuckles and a sharp grin. Good, now they know not to try him.

"If they try to touch you," Xanxus explains to his brother as he sets him down, tired from the walk back home; "you stab them. Like this." He closes Tsunayoshi's small fist around the plastic knife and stabs the plushie square in the stomach. "Right there. Trying for the ribs is a waste."

Tsunayoshi gurgles and drops the knife in favour of making grabby arms at Xanxus.

"Whatever." Xanxus picks him back up. "We'll just keep doing that until it sticks."

"Xan-Xan! Tsu! Food is ready!"

Right. "Coming, ma!"

He stops halfway down the stairs, the spread on the table telling him his mama noticed Xanxus's anger. Good for her, he thinks, uncharitable, but pushes that away. He's surprised she did; though Xanxus wasn't hiding it, he's not necessarily pleased. But maybe it's better that they acknowledge this, even in a small way. "Let's do this," he tells Tsuna, bouncing him slightly just to watch him light up.

Nana looks at them but doesn't coo or reach out to ruffle his hair. She stands by the table, watching him settle Tsuna down on his kiddie chair. Their mother waits until Xanxus shrugs and digs in before talking. "You're disappointed in me."

Xanxus blinks, unsure of why he was expecting an apology instead. "You left him alone."

His mother sighs, "I thought it would be ok. He was sleeping."

"It wasn't." Xanxus could rub it in her face, let Nana know that Tsuna was far from sleeping when Xanxus came home. Or worse, he could ask questions and finally find out for how long his little brother was left to scream bloody murder at the ceiling. But… Xanxus survived the slums with an alcoholic for a mother and the Iron Fort with Timoteo as a father. He'll survive a civilian childhood with a little brother to take care of just fine. By now, Nana's interference isn't welcome.

She hesitates, hands smoothing out her apron. "Alright, I'll know better next time."

"Ok." Xanxus doesn't tell her that he won't let her have the opportunity.

They eat quietly, with only Tsunayoshi's ocasional baby babble breaking the silence. Nana plays with his brother, grabbing the food and trying to feed him. Xanxus rolls his eyes at the floor and says nothing about Tsunayoshi's hate for the fruit when Nana offers him apple slices.
