PET PROTECTION SPELL JAR

I recently heard from a friend that an area that was lacking in spells is pet protection, so this spell jar is specifically for you, Soph (and anyone else who may need it). All herbs are pet safe.

You will need:

a jar of an appropriate size.

obsidian chips

sage (DO NOT use white sage unless you are Native American.) oil/herb

parsley oil/herb

dill oil/herb

rosemary oil/herb

some DNA from your pet (shed hair or skin, do not harm the pet for this under any circumstances.)

Cleansing materials - if incense, pet safe incense.

Black or white candle.

At least one of the protective herbs must be in herb form. The rest can be oil.

Take your materials and be sure to cleanse them. Light the candle.

Take a herb form of one of the protective herbs and place it on the bottom of your jar. Make sure all herb forms of the herbs are on the bottom.

Place the ETHICALLY SOURCED DNA from your pet on the herbs to represent the pet being laid in a bed of safety.

Place the obsidian on top of the DNA to represent the pet being surrounded in protection. Place the oils, if any are used, atop of the crystals to represent extra protection surrounding your pet.

Seal the jar and put the wax atop. Place somewhere safe and slightly significant to your pet, but with no risk of them breaking it.

just wanted to share this spread in my grimoire. i had to put my emotional support dog down on monday. her name was dusty doodlebug. my heart is so full of pain but i am grateful for the wonderful time we got to spend together. i wanted a space to honor her love, life, and my gratitude for her love. i know her energy is still here supporting me and mine. my heart will heal and she had a beautiful life.

Spells to Protect Our Pets

Household animals are commonly volunteer  guardians of the home, the animals are more connected to their spiritual instinct and nature than we, therefore they always absorb evil of the home. Cats and dogs chase away evil spirits, birds keep the goblins away, turtles absorb bad energy and the fish are fed with the negative energies purifying them as plants do to oxygen, so it is most advisable to also give extra protection to our friends protectors.

An old Irish trick is to plant rosemary and sage around the garden, this will protect the home and all its inhabitants without distinction of species. In the Mediterranean, witches and fortune tellers usually rub rock salt on the back of a black cat every Friday at midnight to protect it from evil and ward off evil spirits.

A figure of God Hotei (“Fat Buddha”) brings good fortune and money to our home but also protects us from all spiritual ills. A particular spell to protect our animals is to wash with essences of rosemary and lavender around their resting place. It is also very effective to fill a small cloth bag with brown or purple verbena root, elderberry leaves and garlic and tie it around the neck of the animal. This will protect from all sorts of spirits and possessions.

I cannot tell what a day it's been. My lungs are well today again. I hate the days that come and stay not being able to use my lungs for breathing much.

All the people so to say we understand but this seems odd and in the way. I cannot work or clean or shower but all those people are not here they ran away to cause more problems for another day. Like what you say... While you fight to breath this day I'm going to call the DCF creatures and try to take your kids away. We know you hurt and we know you bleed but that struggles not real and we will make sure that they see.

Why do try to hurt me so much if the shoe was on my foot I'd take all your wooes away. But alas your not me and for some reason can't see. The truth of my pain and how I've lost all up to date. But greatful I'll be for another day did I see and that means the most even over heracy. Thank you I give to the universe today. Gave me one more day to see that rainbow hovering over me. One more day to hear the rain and one more day to cuddle my love. Thank you I say to the universe today thank you again as I send out my love for you the greatest creator surely deserve pure bliss.

Things that have helped me feel closer to my deities:

Praying before their altars (bonus points if you write your own)

Read books other than their myths (books you think they’d enjoy themselves)

Meditating with them

Learn about magickal subjects related to them

Dedicate a journal for notes and document experiences you have with that deity (including moments where they’ve assisted you and any divination conversations you’ve had with them)

Listen to their messages and follow through with them

Light incense that reminds you of them

Find artwork that feels like that deity and hang, print or save them

Divination Methods (Runes, Tarot, Pendulums, Bone Throwing, etc.)

Watch content on different subjects they’re related to (documentaries on death, relationships, crime, etc.)

Dedicate, care, and/or name pets, plants, plushies, etc to them

Learn not just their pantheon and myths but the culture that influenced them

Wear jewelry dedicated to them (bonus if you have that deity enchant them with protection)

Share meals with them

Thinking of them in passing (like “hey that thing reminds me of *insert deity*”)

Talk casually at their altars and give them an itinerary of your day

Define your relationship with that deity and refer to them accordingly (if its a more formal/in reverence, use a formal title. if it’s warm/personal, use an affectionate name.)
