Gears & Analysis - Manson 007 aka Blackie [STYLE Series #004 - Muse (August 2010)]
Tumblr media
Black Peace [Correct name is Manson 007 aka Blackie] A jet-black bomb-making machine fully armed with a number of unique ideas.
The Manson custom model, known as the ‘Black Peace’, was introduced in 2001 and has been used to this day. The body shape and other basic guitar features are similar to those of the earlier Delorean, but the specifications are quite different. In other words, it is a further updated model based on the ‘DeLorean’. The specs shared with the Delorean at the time of production included front and rear pickups (the rears have now been replaced with bare knuckle ‘Mississippi Queen’ pickups), a piezo pickup system (which has also now been removed), and a built-in effects unit. However, the truth about the effects of pedals are not clear due to mixed accounts. It seems to have a ‘Phase 90’ and a Zvex ‘Fuzz Probe’ (or ‘Wah Probe’)…… In any case, the key point is the copper plate on the right side of the unit. It is a fact that by holding your hand over it, you can freely change the oscillation sound, just like a theremin. Therefore, there is no doubt that one of the ZVex ‘Probe’ series is incorporated. There is also a MIDI controller on the top left of the unit. This was a result of Matthew's question: "Can we mount a “Whammy” on it?" According to Hugh Manson, the original idea was to have a built-in ‘Whammy’ itself, but this was abandoned due to power supply problems, so only a MIDI controller was built in, which would be used to control the ‘Whammy’. The controller itself is a transplant of the ribbon controller originally set on the Roland ‘JP-8000’ keyboard. Incidentally, it can be assigned to any MIDI-compatible device other than the ‘Whammy’.
Pickups & Controllers The sustainer pick-up is located between the P-90 type front pick-up and the fingerboard. The rectangular object located to the left of it is a MIDI controller that works like a touch sensor. The toggle switch next to it is a kill switch. The copper plate located on the left side of the unit is the oscillation controller.
Controls The control system is as complex as that of the ‘Delorean’. There are many switches and knobs. The two knobs and switches at the bottom of the body are probably for the ‘Fuzz Probe’ (a sibling of the ‘Fuzz Factory’). The knob next to the bridge is the controller for the ‘Phase 90’, the mini-switch to the right of it is ON/OFF, the three mini-switches in a row vertically are switches for the sustainer, and the three knobs on the far right are controllers for normal guitar sounds. There is a strong theory that there is a ‘Wah Probe’ built in instead of a ‘Fuzz Probe’, but since Guitar Tech describes it as a ‘theremin’, it is probably not a ‘Fuzz Probe’?
SIM L.E.Ds On the side of the fingerboard, there is an LED that indicates the position. This is a system developed by Sim's Custom, a brand founded by Martin Sims, an engineer originally active in the field of Formula 1 racing cars, and is called Sim's L.E.Ds. Various specifications can be selected, including the colour and shape of the LEDs. The Dodd markers on the top of the fingerboard can also be illuminated, but Matthew seems to have opted for the side-only version.
Translator's Notes: I don't know why this typo error was never corrected by the STYLE editors. I thought I knew the guitar looked familiar to me, yet I've never heard it being called the Black Peace at all. To fans and Matt alike, the Manson 007 had always been 'Blackie'.

The Rotary Lodge (The Vengeance of God)
Madison: Citizen's Rights, the movement of Bellicheck, to the New England Patriots, instead of the Minnesota Vikings. The NFL Meadowlands bet, on the Yakuza, not the Scottish Laureate Guild.
Garfield: The legalization of marijuana, for returning veterans, after the mass boat lift, the non-admissable Congressional testimony; "hearsay", Gotham, Ernest Charlebois's rule as Father Salvatore Luciano, World War 1 veteran.
Obama: The pressure through MI-6, on Dr. Joshua Golden, for the return to CIA service as NSA HUMINT, after five movies, as James Bond 007, with Felix Leiter as the online presence through Michael "B-Rock" Myers, and the MO as the villain, against Germans inside MI-6 wetworks, "slush funds".
Harrison: The Etrogan election, the raid inside FBI quarters of Taunton, and the revelation of extra-worldly abilities, the Celts; a connection to God, as the Devil.
Harding: The mass raids, on Catholic properties, kept outside the African orders of priests, dentists; a black pope, and a Black Pope; double black, you don't turn back, heart attack. The film, "The Conclave".
Washington: The election of Cortez, versus Rubio, the Coolidge film investment, after observance of "saudade"; not a Portugese porch monkey concept, the white Arab slave dealers, but African; the evidence of the black people, to learn, as in the 1940s Italian veterans of Tuskegee furnished arms to shoot whites; Sheriffs, having stolen African Gypsy women, to breed convict rapists.
Biden: Old Man Winter, the entire campaign, to refuse the Confederates, the Wiccan Confederation; at pain of own police daughter, Alexandra Gaetano, as rendered anemic, through veganism. Longshanks, removed to solemncy, refused from Robert the Bruce, at orders of English High Crown, and Middleton, "Hannibal Rising", David Charlebois. Aching testicles, and mouldering cunt, refused from each other. "Law and Order", McCoy and Benson.
Trump: The plant of five movies, Roger Corman Presents, through monitor populaces of Iran; a Persian-Mossad hit, outside of Students Revolution grounds, instead within the Shah. The soup man, featured on Seinfeld, as having been responsible. A force the United Kingdom, the Federal Republic of Germany and the Nation-State of Israel, have yet to fathom.
George W. Bush Jr.: The spiked Shirley Temple, for serving with Sprite, not tonic, on a vodka hit, the source of organ failure. George W. Bush Jr., was innocent, besides creating a rumor, that Charles Manson, controlled his mind. George W. Bush Jr., was "evil", for a single day. Mike Charlebois, created Helvetica, instead of Times New Roman, for "ireland"; "la-la-land". His son's "evil day", has yet to come, but it will be wrathful, having impugned a boy, a son, inside the womb.

https://twitter.com/Manson_Guitars/status/1137012333375627265

The (secondary) Bond theme.
Over the years James Bond has not only become a classic icon of British literature and cinema but he has also been a gateway for musicians to be remembered by performing the themes to the films. Good or bad, each Bond theme is recognized in their distinction of being cinematic, orchestral, while mixing the sound developed by each artist, but the road to deciding the theme is not always easy, there is a string of politics and at times the artist chosen is not the only one to submit a piece of music.
The first Bond theme was simply titled “James Bond Theme” and was written and performed by the Monty Norman Orchestra, secondary songs were used but mostly as background music particular to a scene on screen. The second film, From Russia With Love, was the first Bond film to have a song with the title theme. Sung by Matt Munro, this was used in the film and end credits, but is still credited on all anniversary collections as the official theme to the film.
The first time a Bond theme was sung in the opening credits was in the third Bond film, Goldfinger. Originally to be sung by Anthony Newly, who co-wrote the song with John Barry and Leslie Bricusse. Upon reflection the three felt a woman’s voice would suit the tone better, and thus Shirley Bassey (Barry’s partner at the time) was selected as the vocalist.
A year later a fourth Bond film was commissioned and the song “Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” was recorded as the main theme. Dionne Warwick first recorded the song, but the producers were not impressed with her vocals on the track. Shirley Bassey was asked to re-record the song, but she kept mispronouncing the title, rather singing “Mr. Kiss Kiss Bam Bam”. John Barry felt a song with the film’s title was more sellable and wrote the track with Tom Jones in mind to sing. Barry placed the original Dionne Warwick theme at the end credits, however Bassey furious her version was not used sued the producers. Both versions of the song remained unreleased until the 1990s.
This is the first instance of a rejected Bond theme in film. Johnny Cash also recorded a rejected theme for Thunderball in his own style but this was not released until after his death.
Many other artists over the years tried submitting themes for the Bond franchise without any consideration. Alice Cooper was deemed “not suitable” for a 007 film with his version of “The Man with the Golden Gun”. Blondie was asked to record “For Your Eyes Only” but was displeased that Eon Productions did not want to use their recorded song and rather insisted on the one that was written for them. The band rejected this theme and it went to Sheena Easton.
In a similar story, Ace of Base were the original commissioned band to perform the GoldenEye theme, however they only got to the demo stage before creative differences had them quitting, which lead The Edge and Bono writing the new theme for Tina Turner.
Unknown by some is that some finished themes for the Bond films were scrapped last minute and replaced by something Eon Productions felt would be more commercially appealing. The first instance of this was for the film You Only Live Twice where singer Julie Rogers performed the original written theme. This was scrapped without her knowledge at the last minute and it was re-written and recorded with Nancy Sinatra. A similar situation happened to Radiohead for the film Spectre. They submitted an unreleased track from 1997 titled “Man of War” for the film’s soundtrack. Producers loved the song but were reluctant to use it as it would not be eligible for award nominations. They asked the band to compose a new theme. Radiohead jumped at the chance, putting recording sessions for their album “A Moon Shaped Pool” on hold. The result was a beautifully slow and melancholy song that was ultimately rejected due to being (you guessed it) too slow and melancholy. They have since said they felt the experience was a waste of their time.
Secondary themes are also prevalent in James Bond music. Her Majesty’s Secret Service was a return to an instrumental theme, as the title was too long to place in a song. Louis Armstrong sang the secondary theme which was used more frequently throughout the film. Secondary themes have also originally started as the original theme but moved due to commercializing on the talent of newer artists. The Pretenders had contributed several songs to the soundtrack for The Living Daylights. Their song “Where Has Everybody Gone” was intended to be the film’s theme, however during production the producers felt they needed a song that was in the same vein as the popular theme “A View to a Kill” by Duran Duran. The Pretenders song was moved to a secondary theme and Swedish band A-ha was hired in their place.
A similar situation happened during the production of Tomorrow Never Dies. The original theme was recorded by film composer David Arnold with k.d. lang on vocals. Again, the producers did not feel the song was commercial enough and the title of the track was changed from the film’s name to “Surrender” and put at the end credits. It is reported that at least twelve artists submitted tracks for this film including Pulp, St. Etienne, Swan Lee and Marc Almond, but Sheryl Crow’s submission was ultimately selected.
Due to themes being scrapped last minute or artists unable to fulfill their contracts, some singers have been hired last minute, which has left the theme of that particular film to be less than satisfying. One of the few Bond themes not to be released as a proper single is the theme from Moonraker by Shirley Bassey. Bassey was hired quite late in production due to several artists such as Frank Sinatra, Johnny Mathis and Kate Bush not liking or not having the time to record the theme. Bassey rarely performs the track live as she has said she feels it is “not her own.”
Jack White and Alicia Keys were also hired in a similar manner as the original theme for Quantum of Solace was meant to be performed by Amy Winehouse with Mark Ronson producing. Amy’s then health problems and drug addiction prevented her from completing their contribution. Artists such as Eva Almer also submitted for the film but again were ultimately rejected.
British band Muse lobbied for their track “Supremacy” to be used as the theme for Skyfall. The song was originally written for their album “The 2nd Law”, as such they waited too long to submit and by then Adele was chosen to sing the theme. The song however was well liked by Eon, so much in fact it was optioned and was used in the film’s trailer and TV ad spots.
Overall there is a rich tapestry of history in Bond music, a lot of politics and some odd choices, but overall a wonderful sense of individuality from each era. The drama behind the scenes is mostly kept from the public, as to keep from distracting from the selected theme. In some cases I believe the history behind each theme is more interesting than the final result.

Jazz Bond: Sólo para nuestros sentidos
Tumblr media

You may recognize some of the poses in the cover art if you’re a film buff! Keep an eye out for Marlon Brando cradling his cat as The Godfather, Gal Gadot blocking bullets as Wonder Woman, Pierce Brosnan brandishing his gun as 007,  and a Charlie’s Angel. ;) I’m trying to develop my artistic skills as well. Hopefully I’ll be able to draw without references sometime soon...

A new challenger approaches!
Tumblr media
Madeline "Maddie" Morse/ 007
Note: This design is (Sort of) outdated! Here is the new one!
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Height: 5'5
Sexuality: Biromantic asexual
Powers: She can turn people into stone and can also turn stone people back to life. She's pretty much medusa. She, like the rest of the clones, has a healing factor and can also summon weapons that are green and have a see-through-ish look.
Weapon of choice: Throwing knives, Gladiator sword and shield.
A tad bit of backstory:
She was created in the same lab as 3llie, Zoe, and Ronnie were.
When she wasn't "behaving correctly" a person with "the melter" was gonna take a shot and that's when her medusa like powers awaked and unintentionally turned that person into stone.
They experimented on her more after that.
And again was eventually able to escape with the rest of the clones.
Time for her life after that!
The edgy kid except she wasn't/isn't trying to be edgy.
Acts like an angsty teen and is actually very kind and caring she just puts up walls
Is in 3llies discord group.
Her boyfriend is Ronnie.
Her hair is naturally green. She used to hate it but she grew to like it.
Has a phobia of needles and hospitals mostly due to the lab that she was "born" in and all of the experiments that they did on her.
Her voice claim is Sam Manson from Danny phantom

Welcome to the Ukraine (CIA, Listen Hard; This is Your History, Flip Metal)
Each one of these, has a dodge, that anyone can figure out; especially if you're an American spy, on United States soil.
Ted Bundy: Failed to snitch out France and become a chain smoker.
Uri Geller: Failed to be an anti-Semite to the Hanseatic League, one by one, in any order; however, was Gypsy, not "Romani", the rude slur for a field slave of Israelites prior to the conquest of Canaan by the Phillistines (the Gypsy).
Scott Peterson: Did not study HH Holmes, and realize, that he was not "Scottish", nor was anyone.
Jeffrey Dahmer: Attempted to lead reform, but didn't know that "gay", was a campus drug signal.
David Berkowitz: Told the NYPD, that he needed to apply a comic book, as a superhero.
Albert Fish: Confessed to murders he did not commit, but only after the murders were committed.
HH Holmes: An actual James Bond 007, but would not study whomever else was into the spy literature that he was featured in.
Eileen Wournos: Had never been taught the US Constitution, or the Civil War period, and studied Irish unions instead.
Richard Ramirez: Stole a spy's car, and was also a spy.
Ernest Charlebois: Stole an alias, from a salt shaker, to start DC Comics.
Huey Long: Started the entire foundational theory of the Office of Strategic Services, as Louisiana Governor, but then tried to make the entire country into a sublet office of his services, as a literature reader, to old men and "little women", their daughters, based on literature he stole from a permanent record of a draft fail from a senior intern (someone missed an agent to recruit).
Ivanka Trump: Attempted to defect, by incarcerating her father, for making her a police officer with the Japanese Diet.
Venus Terzo: Used dozens of aliases, as George W. Bush's daughter, to serve as a military cowgirl, unaware the sexual position was only possible in Massachusetts, otherwise "ghei", "too rich". It's a nautical sailor's gene, of piracy and smuggling origin, to be capable of girl-on-top, a guaranteed orgasm.
Cassie-Leigh Stock: Claimed a pedophile, was anything a heterosexual male seeking a fan would do, since she had the fantasy of sexually dominating men with a pedophile insult; a product of Aryan Nation literature, as a Puerto Rican child prodigy dominatrix.
William McKinley: Attempted to banish an Polish actor who had studied him as George Custer, by creating a list of legal fraud documents, for the Polish actor to read, causing the Pole's son to kill him, once US President.
Kim il-Sung: Volunteered for duty in Korea, by taking a Vietnamese girl out, for Korean BBQ. Actually Mexican. Grandson trapped running North Korea, as Supreme Leader, to this very day.
Charles Manson: Wrote an essential piece of Hollywood history, then went down for statuatory rape, by failing a drug score and making it with his own writing partners.
Karl Panzram: A prison warden, that tried to train hop, then murdered 30,000 people, on four continents, as an oil developer, after James Cagney studied him for his dramatic roles.
Fidel Castro: A technical program success, besides his family staying in power, during the transition.
Carlos the Jackal: Assigned to research film, made legendary spy movies and scripts for decades, after fellating men in their sleep, to produce CGI technician developers and slaves, all depicted in spy movies, all standalone without series, dozens of beauties, big and small and unknown and notorious.
Timothy McVeigh: Placed on medication required to take off the shelf; medication cleared for single case epithet, of Timothy McVeigh, by United States Marine Corps learning school, in Waco, Texas.
John Allen Muhammad: Deported overseas to save self from indictment for teaching hacking techniques through exchanged chips and datalink formats, failed to import back to United States from Will Smith refusing role as "Neo" in "The Matrix", a lesser reknowned acting style.
Albert de Salvo: Caught on stalk from prostitution don out of Westboro Baptist Church victimhood (a civil or federal service member that had inserted his erect phallus into a woman's rectum), refused to trade his place with a foreign serial killer on study.
David Charlebois: Same name as a dead first officer in 9/11, who was also homosexual, permanently registered as a confused gay man with a Law and Order detective lookalike as a female love interest beside him.
