I see people talk about which armors they’d want as a new skin for Iron Man in Rivals and frankly I’m shocked I’ve seen no one suggest the Modular Armor

It’s the armor he wore in the 90s. You saw this shit in the 90s cartoon, Marvel vs Capcom, etc. it was the first Tony Stark I knew and will forever be my second favorite Iron Man Armor(Silver Centurion superiority). It’s Tony’s iconic armor imo(or close to it) and frankly one of three costumes they could give the guy that’d make me become a shell head player right away(the other two are Silver Centurion and the Armor stark wore in the original Ultimate Comics run)

Something that I find interesting in the long standing argument of Marvel VS DC, most people only ever compare the movies and the TV shows. The thing that I feel like that people don't ever bother to compare is the video games and so I want to do that.
Now, I am going to say that both Marvel and DC have their quantities of down right garbage movie, TV show and cartoon tie in games that are not worth mentioning at all by name because there are just so many. Now, I do think that DC stopped making these sooner as Marvel didn't stop until after The Winter Soldier's release.
Of course, both Marvel & DC have their LEGO games which, are excellent games for both of these two.
Marvel LEGO Games:
LEGO Marvel's Avengers
LEGO Marvel Superheroes
LEGO Marvel Superheroes
DC LEGO Games:
LEGO Batman: The Video Game
LEGO Batman 2: DC Superheroes
LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham
LEGO DC Super-Villians
Now, those are not the real, big cheese games within the Marvel and DC franchises, are they? No, no, no, we have to go much, much bigger here. What are the heavy hitter games for Marvel and DC?
DC Heavy Hitters:
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Batman: Arkham City
Batman: Arkham Origins
Batman: Arkham Knight
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League
Gotham Knights
Injustice: Gods Among Us
Injustice 2
Batman: The Telltale Series
Batman: The Enemy Within
Marvel Heavy Hitters:
Marvel Ultimate Alliance
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3
Marvel VS Capcom: Clash Of Superheroes
Marvel VS Capcom 2: New Age Of Heroes
Marvel VS Capcom 3: Fate Of Two Worlds
Marvel VS Capcom Infinite
Guardians Of The Galaxy
Guardian Of The Galaxy: The Telltale Series
Marvel's Spider-Man
Marvel's Spider Man Miles Morales
Marvel's Spider-Man 2
Marvel's Avengers
Now, I am sure that I missed something and I sure that people will let me know what I missed. Of course, both of these lists have their stinkers like Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League and Gotham Knights for DC and the Crystal Dynamics Marvel's Avengers for Marvel. Each is the same number of games but, what it really comes down to is the quality of those remaining games and I can only speak on the ones I've played.
DC Games I've played:
LEGO Batman: The Video Game
LEGO Batman 2: DC Superheroes
LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham
LEGO DC Super-Villains
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Batman: Arkham City
Injustice: Gods Among Us
Injustice 2
Marvel Games I've Played:
LEGO Marvel Superheroes
LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2
LEGO Marvel's Avengers
Guardians Of The Galaxy: The Telltale Series
I don't know, most of the Marvel games have just been really not interesting to me personally. I personally think that both have their good and bad games and that it's really up to the individual.

Superhero media is pretty popular IRL. If superheroes are part of the real world in the BronzeRealms, what does that mean for the movies and games and stuff?
Some of it still exists as in-universe licensed semi-biographical media or propaganda.
There is an officially licensed X-Men comicbook published by Image Comics since 2000. It was originally based on the adventures of the original X-Men in the 60s and 70s, but it runs to this day and has fictionalized versions of many more modern events in the current generation X-Men's lives.
Similarly, Fox made X-Men movies starting in 2005 with the participation of Consulting Producer Charles Xavier. He thought both these projects would help normalize Mutants for the public to see them in a heroic light, even if executives demanded they would primarily be fighting against other "bad" Mutants for most of the movies.
Spider-Man, thanks to debuting in Pro Wrestling before he became a superhero, is a copyrighted character whose name and image are wholesale owned by someone who is not Peter Parker. Wilson Fisk bought out that wrestling company in 2006 and immediately started marketing the fuck out of Spider-Man.
Halloween costumes, lunchboxes, popsicles, a newspaper strip, multiple movie series, many cartoons (often running during the same years as other Spider-Man cartoons on different networks), musicals, theme park rides... Spider-Man is just as much of a brand in the BronzeRealms as he is in our world, and he is NOT HAPPY about it.
Marvel Comics exists as a company. It is US government propaganda. It published heavily sanitized and fluffed accounts of the at-the-time recent exploits of Captain America during World War 2, and then continued with entirely fictional stories of Commie-punching after he went into the ice.
The Justice League as an organization assists any heroes who care to do so in managing their brand. They do not partner with any one specific comicbook company, but a collection of smaller companies, Charlton Comics, Fawcett Comics (based out of Fawcett City), Wildstorm, Quality Comics, Milestone, Gold Key Comics, and National Allied Publications.
Some of these Justice League-managed brand deals have led to movies and cartoons, but not anything directly analogous to the ones we know. The 60s Adam West Batman series is culturally more or less replaced by the Fearless Ferret and Grey Ghost franchises.
After the Mortal Kombat tournament concluded in 1990, Johnny Cage got most of the earth-based participants to sign him as their Agent, allowing him to license all of their likeness rights into a fictionalized arcade game retelling the story of their adventures, which quickly became a successful video game franchise under the new NetherRealm Studios, several movies, and more.
In 2005, to go alongside the first movie, Charles Xavier approved the creation of the fighting game X-Men Vs Street Fighter. In 2008, NetherRealm Studios would make Mortal Kombat Vs Justice League, and then in 2013, a much more popular and less charitable fighting game based on real superheroes, Injustice: Gods Among Us.
These two previously unrelated projects would crash together in 2014 with Injustice Vs Capcom 3 (titled such recognizing X-Men Vs Street Fighter and Injustice 1), which later became Ultimate Injustice Vs Capcom 3.
NetherRealm would next attempt to separate from Capcom for another solo game, Injustice 2. However, now that this was becoming an undeniable franchise... the inevitable lawsuit arrived from the real world Justice League after years of being presented in game narratives as murderers, totalitarians, traitors, etc. The game was forced to release a major update renaming and reskinning the entire roster into original characters.
Capcom would return to the franchise with Injustice Vs Capcom: Infinite. Injustice 2: Monsters Never Die Edition would clean up many of the rough edges that the lawsuit-mandated updates had introduced and bring in a handful of new characters. The most recent game in the series, Injustice Vs Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes, is a prequel that uses a retro pixel art visual style and was released in 2024.
Now we've been talking about superheroes, but the BronzeRealms is much larger than that, so let's talk about some other things that have various justifications to both exist as real things, and also be recognized as in-universe media in some way.
The Xena Scrolls, written by the Battling Bard Gavriil before she departed to Themyscira along with the rest of the Amazons, were found by Indiana Jones, and passed through various hands until they were acquired by Ted & Sam Raimi, who pitched an adaption of the scrolls as a tv franchise.
Benny Russell was a comicbook writer, artist, and sci-fi novel author in the 1940s and 1950s. Almost no-one knew it at the time, but he was psychically linked with Captain Benjamin Sisko across centuries into the future. So, when Gene Roddenberry acquired some of his unused worldbuilding notes and directly adapted them into the tv franchise Star Trek, he was unknowingly fictionalizing real future events. This same coincidence would repeat with a different collection of Benny's notes 10 years later for the series Galaxy Quest.
Now, you may wonder why, in the future, no-one starts to notice that these tv shows are coincidentally guessing a lot of real events. This is because, by an extremely convenient coincidence that most definitely wasn't assisted by the intervention of Time Agents, all historical record of the existence of the Star Trek franchise was destroyed in World War 3 and the Post-Atomic Horrors.
There are probably many other similar temporal shenanigans leading to franchises that most people reasonably assume to be fictional actually being loosely adapted from some account of real future events. There are also things like Wormhole X-Treme, a franchise that was knowingly created to obstruct the truth by presenting people trying to claim it's real as obsessive fanboys. This post is not a comprehensive list, just a grab bag of examples.

Who do you think is the best Spider-Man? Like, not even necessarily limiting it to just the movies - between the games, shows, everything
I mean it's pure nostalgia talking but I always had a soft spot for Radioactive Spider-Blood Spider-man. Christopher Barnes. That was kind of the Spider-man I grew up with, and he's the voice that also ended up in the first two Treyarch games and Marvel vs. Capcom.
But that's just the voice. As Spider-man himself? The most fun I've had with a piece of Spider-man media was Spectacular Spider-man.
youtube
Maybe it's nostalgia goggles but I feel like Spectacular had the opportunity to be for Spider-man what Batman: The Animated Series was for Batman.
It had the misfortune of existing during the Disney buyout and I don't think they knew what they had. As far as I've heard, none of the Spider-man shows since the cancellation of Spectacular have been anything noteworthy. They are more focused on making Spider-man cartoons that drive merchandise sales for the 10-and-under crowd.
Spectacular existed in a very special window where the certain classic elements of Spider-man were still relevant. Having a camera (not a phone), the Daily Bugle still being a newspaper (not a blog or a video portal), things like that. Something about a modern Spider-man just feels weird to me. He exists before the smartphone era.
And Spectacular Spider-man still gets to be that classic Spider-man. Maybe the last time it made sense for that stuff to exist. Maybe that means I'm turning into an old man.

A new Marvel Legends series of Marvel vs. Capcom figures were just revealed earlier today. Preorder dates haven't been announced yet, but I will keep an eye on it as one of the sets is Omega Red vs. War Machine.
From the images shared, Arkady looks like he will have a new head, hands, and a different color scheme, shoulder pads and kneepads/boots to match his design from the video game. Which is also rather close to the design he had in his earliest appearances:

So if you are in the market for a new (or another) Omega Red figure, get your wallet ready!!

Video Game Idea: Marvel vs. Capcom 4: Heroes Return
Hey! Marvel vs. Capcom is popular again! And it's all thanks to the recent account of Marvel vs. Capcom: Fighting Collection, a compilation pack of all the arcade MvC games and Marvel arcade games Capcom produced that's being released later this year.
This has gotten many people excited for three reasons...
This is the first time we've heard anything new about the Marvel vs. Capcom series in almost a decade!
This is the first time the games have been complied together
This possibly means that the Marvel vs. Capcom may actually be returning for a new installment in the near future
And this led many people to speculate and give ideas on what a Marvel vs. Capcom 4 would be like.
And since I like coming up with game ideas, I figured I'd hop on the train.
So sit back, relax, and join me while I take you on a train through my idea for the game....
Marvel vs. Capcom 4: Heroes Return!
(This is gonna be a short one, so bare with me)
Gameplay-wise, Heroes Return would essentially follow the same mechanics as Fate of Two Worlds, from the combat system to even bringing back being able to switch between three characters.
The new gameplay addition would the modified Team Combos.
Here, either two or three of your team can perform a Hyper Combo.
And it would be accompanied by actual names for the Combos, and a cool ass cinematic!
For the look of this game, it would bring back the cel-shaded look of Fate of Two Worlds, but obviously a little more polished with the advanced technology of today’s consoles.
Now we come to undoubtedly the most important part of the game: the roster.
Heroes Return would feature the biggest roster seen in the series by far, with a total of 100 characters (with there being 50 characters evenly for both brands).
And those 50 characters on both sides would be split evenly into two groups: Heroes and Villains.
Let’s start off with Capcom, since they deserve to go first after the bullshit they went through with the last game.
On the Heroes side, returning from the previous games we have….
.Ryu
.Chun Li
.Mega Man
.Viewtiful Joe
.Phoenix Wright
.Dante
.Amaterasu
.Strider Hiryu
.Arthur
.Morrigan
.X
.Monster Hunter
.Captain Commando

As for the new Heroes, we have….
.Leon Kennedy
.Claire Redfield
.Luke

.Lady
.Regina

.Manfred von Karma
.Grandmaster Meio

.Alastor
.Demitri Maximoff
.Lord Raptor
.Fatalis
.Scumocide
.Nemesis
.Alcina Dimitrescu
.Carlito Keyes
.Tyrone King
.Cyclops (Tyrannosaurus)
.Nobunaga Oda
.Hideyoshi Toyotomi
.Yami
.Astaroth
.Commander Sith
Now we come to the Marvel side of the roster.
On the Heroes side, our returning faces would consist of….
.Spider-Man
.Wolverine
.The Hulk
.Captain America
.Iron Man
.Thor
.Venom
.Cyclops
.Storm
.Psylocke
.Colossus
.Iceman
.Doctor Strange

As for our new Heroes, we have….
.Nightcrawler
.Mr. Fantastic
.The Invisible Woman
.The Human Torch
.The Thing
.Ant-Man
.Wasp
.Daredevil
.Elektra
.Luke Cage
As for the Villains, the returning baddies include….
.Doctor Doom
.Magneto
.Sabretooth
.The Juggernaut
.Dormammu
.M.O.D.O.K.
.Ultron
In terms of new Villains, we have….
.The Green Goblin
.Doctor Octopus
.Carnage
.The Abomination
.Red Skull
.Baron Zemo
.The Mandarin
.Loki
.Enchantress
.Mystique
.Pyro
.Toad
.Baron Mordo
.Steel Serpent
.Diamondback
.Annihilus
.The Kingpin
.Bullseye
As for the stages, this game features total of 30: with 15 representing Marvel, while the other 15 represents Capcom.
On the Capcom side, we have….
.Genbu Temple
.Castle Wily
.Movie Land
.Courtroom
.The Demon World
.Kamiki Village
.Kazakh City
.The Ghost Town
.Zeltzereich Castle
.Metro City
.Space Fleet
.Fortune City
.Castle Dimitrescu
.Ibis Island
.Odawara Castle
As for the Marvel side, we have....
.The Daily Bugle
.The Weapon X Facility
.The Gamma Base
.HYDRA Island
.The Valley of Spirits
.Asgard
.The Danger Room
.The Sanctum Sanctorum
.Harlem
.The Baxter Building
.Asteroid M
.Shadowland
.The Negative Zone
.Jotunheim
.Latveria
And finally, this game would actually have a Story Mode! Being the first in the franchise to do so.

The first of actual worth....
Anyway, the story is pretty simple. It's essentially like Marvel Ultimate Alliance, except with Capcom thrown into the mix.
Essentially, an alliance between various Capcom and Marvel villains have been formed, led by M. Bison and Doctor Doom, who plan on using their combined skills and abilities to conquer the world and further their respective goals.
Luckily, this manages to catch the attention of Dr. Light and Nick Fury, who decide to retaliate by forming their own alliance of heroes to fight against them.
Once again, really simple story, but what will really make it engaging are the world-building and characters iterations.
The world of Marvel vs. Capcom has always been interesting to think about, since it appears to be a world where the Marvel and Capcom characters co-exists with each other.
But we've never really been given an in-depth look on what the world is like or how it works.
From what it seems like, the two brands have always shared this world.
And if that's the case, it would be cool to see how the corners of Marvel and Capcom connect to each other.
Or maybe this could like Battleworld from the Secret Wars event, where their world is the result of the Capcom worlds and the Marvel Universe being merged into one huge world!
As for the characters iterations, I can see so many between the Marvel and Capcom characters.
Some of the ones I can think of the top of my head include....
-Cyclops and Ryu being friendly rivals akin to the latter and Ken. Well, before Ken....ya know, fell off.
-Spider-Man and Morrigan being total besties and often throwing quips together while in battle.
-M.O.D.O.K. and Dr. Wily getting into constant arguments and trying to prove whose the better genius.
-Toad constantly simping for Juri, who as you would expect, isn't having any of it.
-Iron Man being a big brother figure to Mega Man.
-Hulk being an absolute dog person around Amaterasu.
-Deadpool constantly hitting on Chun Li, complimenting her thick legs, only to get his ass kicked every time.
-Magneto and Vergil bonding over their "I'm better than you" personalities, usually talking trash about their fellow villains behind their backs.
-Venom being Claire's big buddy and always telling her to...
youtube
Well that's all I have for now!
Let me know what you guys think about idea of mine's.
But most of all, let me know what you all think about the roster, since I believe that's the most important part of any Marvel vs. Capcom.
When making it, I wanted to make sure that both sides were perfectly even.
And for the Marvel side of things, I wanted to include faces from all over their universe rather than just utilizing the ones who are the big names in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
And addition to that, there will be no MCU SYNERGY at all in this game.
Because we all know how much it helped the last game....

Annon-Guy: So what kind of Video Games do you like? Like Genre wise.
My favorite type of games are Fighting (don't play online much due to how the players can curb stomp me) like BlazBlue, Racing (mostly kart racers like Mario Kart) and Platformers. Although I do like certain RPG's and Visual Novel Games as well.
I ESPECIALLY love Crossover games like Marvel Vs. Capcom and while I haven't played Project X Zone, the interactions are 😘!
I don't really think I have an absolute favourite genre, but the first genre that came to my head were the Western RPGs, specifically the Bethesda style RPGs like the Elder Scrolls series. But honestly I don't really have a favourite, but I suppose I'm not really into fighting, driving/racing, and platforming games. I used to be really into fighting games during the 5th-6th generation of consoles (PS1-PS2 eras) where Tekken was among my favourite game franchises, and I also liked Soul Calibur and Dead or Alive. But Once the 7th generation came, I kinda fell out of love with fighting games, and embraced other genres instead like RPGs and FPSs.

How many characters who have been put into fighting games (super smash bros for instance) and actually accounted that as canon for their events? I know Pit and Palutena have made mention of it in the training videos for Kid Icarus Uprising and Pit kept making reference to other Nintendo IPs throughout the same game, but are there any other series that have canonized the events?
This doesn’t just go for Smash Brothers though. Like there’s many Marvel vs Capcom games, and there are also games that aren’t majorly popular like Playstation All-Star Battle Royal. Anybody remember that game? Yeah I barely do either.

Favorite Takes - Marvel/Spider-Man
Where I cite my personal favorite non-source material (so film, TV, and video games only) adaptations of some comic book characters.
Peter Parker/Spider-Man

Spider-Man 90's Animated Series (Christopher Daniel Barnes)
The Spectacular Spider-Man (Josh Keaton)
Marvel's Spider-Man (Robbie Daymond)
Sony/MCU (Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland)
NOTE: And the Spider-Men voiced by Paul Soles, Dan Gilvezan, Ted Schwartz, Rino Romano, Neil Patrick Harris, Chris Edgerly, James Arnold Taylor, Mike Vaughn, Mike Kelley, Sam Reigel, Sean Chiplock, Griffin Burns, Jake Johnson, and Hudson Thames are all contenders.
Mary Jane Watson
Insomniac Games (Laura Bailey)
Sam Raimi Trilogy (Kirsten Dunst)
MCU (Zendaya Coleman)
MTV Spider-Man New Animated Series (Lisa Loeb)
The Spectacular Spider-Man (Vanessa Marshall)
Marvel Rising (Tara Strong) and Marvel's Spider-Man (Felicia Day)
NOTE: Other fine MJs are Andrea Taylor in the Ultimate Spider-Man video game, Dana Seltzer in Web of Shadows, Laura Vandervoort in Edge Of Time, Quinn Ljoka in Marvel Avengers Academy, and Zoe Kravitz in Into The Spiderverse. Kari Wahlgren also did a decent Kirsten Dunst in the Spider-Man 3 video game, and Erika Harlacher Stone was spot on casting for her in Spider-Geddon, albeit wasted.
Gwen Stacy
Marvel's Spider-Man (Laura Bailey)
The Spectacular Spider-Man (Lacey Chabert)
Spiderverse Trilogy (Hailee Steinfeld)
Marvel Rising (Dove Cameron)
Mark Webb Duology (Emma Stone)
Sam Raimi Trilogy (Bryce Dallas Howard)
NOTE: Yeah, Laura Bailey is Best MJ AND Best Gwen! And the only other Gwens I think come close to contending with these ones would be the ones voiced by Mary Kay Bergman and Ashley Johnson.
Harry Osborn
Sam Raimi Trilogy (James Franco)
The Spectacular Spider-Man (James Arnold Taylor)
MTV Spider-Man New Animated Series (Ian Ziering)
Marvel's Spider-Man (Max Mittelman)

Marvel's Spider-Man (Josh Keaton)
Spider-Man 90s Animated Series (Neil Ross)
Insomniac Games (Mark Rolston) and The Black Order (Steve Blum)
LEGO Marvel (Nolan North, Josh Keaton)
NOTE: Steven Weber in Ultimate Spider-Man was a decent Norman but an awful Goblin, while Len Carlson, Dennis Marks, and Sam Vincent all did good Green Goblins but weren't really Normans.
Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus
Sam Raimi Trilogy + MCU (Alfred Molina)
Insomniac Games and The Black Order (William Salyers)
The Spectacular Spider-Man (Peter Macnicol)
Marvel's Spider-Man (Scott Menville)

Spider-Man PS1 (Daran Norris) and Sony/MCU (Tom Hardy)

Sony/MCU (Tom Hardy)
Sam Raimi Trilogy (Topher Grace)
Spider-Man 90's Animated Series (Hank Azaria)

MCU (Jake Gyllenthal)
Shattered Dimensions (David Kaye)
The Spectacular Spider-Man (Xander Berkley)

Hobgoblin
Spider-Man 90's Animated Series (Mark Hamill)
Marvel Superhero Adventures (Andrew Francis)
Universal Studios Ride (Patrick Fraley)
The Spectacular Spider-Man (Courtney B. Vance)
Shattered Dimensions (Steve Blum)

Spider-Man 90's Animated Series (Martin Landau, Richard Moll)

Spider-Man 90's Animated Series (Roscoe Lee Brown)
The Punisher Video Game (David Sobolov)
Raimi Trilogy Video Game (Bob Joles)
Insomniac Games (Travis Willingham) and The Black Order (Tim Blaney)
NOTE: Tom Harvey, Stan Jones, Stephen Stanton, Gregg Berger, Jim Cummings and JB Blanc also gave commendable takes on Fisk that worked for the iterations they were playing. Sorry to say, Spiderverse fans, but Liev Schreiber's Kingpin does nothing for me.
Doctor Doom
Marvel Ultimate Alliance (Clive Revill)
90's Animated Marvel (Neil Ross, Simon Templeman, Tom Kane, Ross Marquand)
Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes (Lex Lang)
Marvel VS Capcom (Paul Dobson)
