Quick sketch of a mech I want to build for one of my OCs named “Roxanne”. She’s the drummer character in my animatronic band “Mesozoic Mayhem” (btw if you’re interested in hearing more about this, lemme know lol). I am going to build her to be able to play a full drum set, similar to this sketch (waist turn, body-lean, wrist, elbow and shoulder movement). I wish I had my own machine shop, I’d have my entire band built in no time if I did lol. I am fully capable of designing and building all of these characters, it’s just a matter of the resources and space I have available at the moment. As for the animatronic I am currently working on finishing, I am using my school’s machine shop to make some parts so I can get it fully assembled again; I want to see him mechanically complete. Anyway, that was my animatronic TED talk.

ok this might be a weird post for me because i never talk about it but. as an avid dbd player who hates the game i have to ask something

to expand: this hypothetical game remains an asymmetrical survivor vs killer horror game, but differentiates itself in many ways including:

- survivors also in first person

- room for more killers per match, at a 1:4 ratio of killer to survivor (avg 3 killers with significantly larger maps)

- no gens, but rather various map-specific objectives

- much more downtime, no “win” or “lose” condition

- proximity voice chat + expanded gestures

- no “hook states”, but rather another mechanic that ensures you cannot be tunnelled out of the game

- no perks aside from an inherent skill for each survivor, and then random pick-up-able “perks” that can be found throughout the match

- the devs would actually play their damn game

- +more things that push this game away from “competitive” and more towards “horror experience”

i'm a big fan of non-dsmp-viewing qsmp artists depictions of tubbo. most dsmp players have some similarities to their qsmp counterparts but i've seen so many different tubbos - even moreso than usual, since tubbo has always had a variety of designs - that don't have many design aspects that i associate with tubbo due to the dsmp. i think that's neat.

"There's Helui, a robotics engineer. Those are quite valuable in the Octarian army, you know. Though they are not easy to find...

She's a bit of a strange one. Prone to taunting her colleagues, picks on the lesser Octarians like some sort of schoolyard bully, laughs perhaps just a bit too much- you get the picture. She does as she's told, though, and her work on my body is not without praise. Questionable maturity aside, Helui's engineering talent far exceeds that of her former comrades.

"Then there's Wakapi, our mechanic. Hmph. Her work is good, but some of my previous recruits easily dwarf her. Beggars cannot be choosers, however, so her work is within an acceptable standard... for now. She's very sociable and proud, and she needed little persuasion to join me at my side. Despite that, she is mildly rebellious, likely on account of her ego, and she will resist my orders at times or make snappy quips directed at me. The other soldiers do seem to enjoy her presence, though.

My fear is that Wakapi enjoys mine... too much. I am under the suspicion that she's harboring some level of intimate feelings towards me, but I really cannot be certain. I've never been good at spotting these things.

"Last, but certainly not least, there is Wanni. Wanni is our humble little clothing designer. She is responsible for my stunning uniform, of course. One befitting of a commander like me, if you could try to visualize it.

She is outwardly meek and speaks little, but she is incredibly vicious on the battlefield. Attacks to kill. Do not underestimate her capabilities. Wanni is frustratingly modest and is a bit of a pushover, especially with Helui, so I do find it aggravating to watch her struggle sometimes. That being said, she is very diligent, and obeys every order without question. Her loyalty never falters.

I am decidedly fond of this Octoling."
