“y/n, thank you so much for helping us out! Our shoot today is extremely important for the company and we needed all the help we could get! You are aware of who the model is, right?” Sejin, your overall manager for the shoot today approached you as you entered the shooting area.

You immediately noticed how large scale this shoot was, compared to the other shoots you’ve been to before. As a college student interested in the modelling sector, you had always tried to find opportunities to get yourself familiarised with the industry, and at the same time earn some money to pay off your school fees. Thus you’ve dabbled in helping out with basic chores for shoots, such as buying coffee for the staff, organising the mess on the tables, or the occasional touch up of the model’s makeup. However, all of the shoots you’ve been to so far have been small scale, quick shoots, unlike this shoot which seemed to have about 100 staff members in a rush to get ready. Whoever the model was must have been a huge figure.

“Sorry, this job was kind of last minute so I didn’t have time to read up on the information. Who is the model?” You replied Sejin with slight embarrassment.

“It’s fine, no need to be sorry. The model is Jeon Jungkook of BTS! Do you know how many fans this guy has? This shoot is going to make our company stocks rise to the max!” Sejin laughed out loud at the mere thought of company stocks rising.

Jeon Jungkook? Wow. Who didn’t know Jeon Jungkook? He was the most famous and desired man in the whole South Korea — in fact maybe the whole world. Your jaw hung open. You were going to see Jeon Jungkook? Sure, you were probably not going to reach within a 10 meter radius of him as a small staff, but you were gonna be in the same room as him. You weren’t a big fan of him but you had heard of how famous he was. Jeon Jungkook was a household name. You’ve personally heard your mother and siblings fangirling over him. Who would have known that y/n l/n, the only one in the l/n family who did not fangirl over Jeon Jungkook would be meeting him first. You laughed to yourself, imagining your family’s reaction when you tell them about it.

“Ah, y/n, the shoot is about to start, i’m about to get busy. Could you do me a favour and help me get my file for todays shoot? It’s in my office, you should know where it is.”

“Sure! I’ll go now!” You immediately replied, hoping to do good job so you could get on his good side. You bowed at him quickly, before rushing to his office.

When you reached his office, you immediately found the file, with big, bolded letters written on it. “For Jungkook shoot! Extremely important!” You were about to grab it and leave, when you notice a golden bell beside it, with a post it note written on it. “Bring to the shoot! In case I need to get everyone’s attention since nobody ever listens to me anymore!” You laugh at the note, grabbing both the bell and the notes as you head out of the office.

As you walked in the hallway, you suddenly got a text message from sejin. You placed the bell on top of the file and barely balanced it with your left hand, as your right hand held your phone to read the message.

You inwardly praise yourself saving a trip back, trying to type a response to sejin with your right thumb.

Just as you were about to hit send, you suddenly felt a hard chest in front of you, harshly colliding into it, sending you to the ground.

Ding! The loud sound of the bell resonated in the empty hallway as it hit the ground.

“What the hell…” You rub at your painful head as you lay on the floor, rushing to get up to grab the file before its contents fly around.

Dischevelled, you grab the file and bell, hugging it close to your chest as you glared up at the person who caused the mess.

You definitely did not expect to see a pair of doe eyes looking at you curiously, with a glint of excitement in them. His mouth was open slightly in awe, as if he just saw an angel. But your jaw hung wider than his when you realised you just bumped into THE JEON JUNGKOOK?

“Oh…OH MY GOD! I’m so so so sorry!” You quickly sobered up, standing up and bowing at him multiple times. You avoided eye contact as you walked past him and tried running away in embarrassment.

But before you could leave, you felt strong, large hands grabbing your wrist.

“W-wait! Don’t go… who are you? Are you my soulmate?”

When you heard what he said, you almost burst into laughter. What? Soulmate? What was this famous star on? Was the most famous guys in the world really asking you if you were his soulmate? You let out a muffled laugh, trying your best to hold it in as you say, “Excuse me?”

“T-the bell. It rang when we bumped into each other. It’s fate.”

You finally let out your laughter at that, laughing uncontrollably at what you thought was a joke, until you noticed his hardened stare and realised maybe he was not joking.

“Um the bell rang because it fell on the floor… I don’t think we are ‘soulmates’, sorry man.” You said awkwardly.

The both of you stood in silence, staring at each other. After 30 seconds, the awkward tension started getting to you and you slightly bowed before walking away back to the shoot.

If you thought that would be the the end of the very weird experience, you were very wrong. As you walked, you could feel a presence behind you. Using your peripheral vision, you were 100% sure Jeon Jungkook, the world’s most desired bachelor was following you around like a puppy. You were starting to get annoyed, the other staff were starting to notice and the attention was definitely not what you needed. You whipped around, face to face with Jungkook.

“Why are you following me?” You ask infuriatingly.

At your annoyed tone, he lets out a small smirk, suddenly having some newfound confidence.

“I’m not following you, I’m going the same way as you.”

You let out a frustrated sigh, turning around and stomping at a quicker pace to the shoot area. Of course, he was still following you closely.

When you reached the shoot, you felt an instant relief with the amount of people bustling around.

“Jungkook is here!”

“What! Where?”

“Jungkook!”

The moment Jungkook entered the room behind you, people immediately took notice of him, running to be by his side and crowding around him. You took the opportunity to blend with the crowd and get away from him.

As you turned back to look at him, you noticed he was looking around for you, after losing you in the crowd. His eyebrows were slightly furrowed as he carried a small frown on his face, eyes glancing around the room trying to find you.

For a guy who could get any girl he want, he seemed weirdly obsessed with you. Did he really think you were his soulmate because of the bell? Maybe he was just playing with you like with other girls. You were just a nobody to him after all. You place the thoughts at the back of your head as you get back to work, finding Sejin.

“Thanks y/n, you can go take a lunch break. I’ll text you if I need you!” Sejin seemed satisfied at your swift pace as he released you for a break.

You give him a small smile as you walk out to the cafeteria with a sigh of relief. Taking one last glance at Jungkook, he still seemed to be trying to find you, with a small cute pout on his face as he seemed slightly frustrated at his futile attempts.

You sat down on an empty bench as you chewed on your sandwich, glad that you could take a short break before the real demands start coming in when the shoot gets busy.

You furrowed your eyebrows at the message. Jungkook didn’t want to work with Nari? Nari was the biggest female model in Korea. Why didn’t he want to work with her? She was ‘the most beautiful girl in Korea’ and every man loved her. Why did he have to be so uncooperative and make my job so hard? You quickly messaged your model contacts, asking them to come as soon as they could.

Of course, all of them immediately accepted. Who wouldn’t be dying to get an opportunity to model with Jungkook? You led the 4 models to the shoot, noticing the grim and dark mood as soon as you entered. You could tell there was tension due to Jungkook’s lack of cooperation.

When sejin noticed saw the models, his face immediately lighted up.

“Jungkook! The models are here! You can choose any of them to be your partner! These girls are all highly esteemed models and they are all experienced! Any of them would be a great partner!”

You could feel the girls beside you fixing their posture and making a juice pose as they awaited in anticipation for Jungkook to see them.

Jungkook looked up from his phone in disinterest, quickly skimming over the models until his eyes landed on you. Immediately, you noticed a glint of sparkle in his eyes, a child like smile on his face as he pointed at you.

“I want her.”

You instantly tensed up, staring at sejin in shock. You could feel the rest of the staff’s shock as well. You wanted to climb into a hole and die from the tension. Why did he have to cause so much problems for you?

“A-are you sure jungkook? Y/n is a beautiful girl but she’s a staff, not a model…”

You looked at Sejin in desperation, slightly shaking your head and telling him with your eyes that it was a no. However, Jungkook was relentless.

“If it’s not her, i’m not doing this shoot.” He said nonchalantly.

You wanted to smack his handsome little face so bad. You should have just stayed home today. Sejin walked over to you, pulling you aside apologetically.

“I’m so sorry y/n, but you know how important this shoot is to us. Could you please help us out this once? It’s just for today. We will pay extra and it’ll be a great experience! You want to work in the modelling industry in the future right? You could hear desperation in his tone.

You thought about it. Of course this would be a great experience for you, but you were so unprepared. What if you didn’t do well? Or worse what if his fans hated on you? You couldn’t handle that. But with Sejin staring at you so desperately, you felt that the guilt of rejecting him would kill you on the inside. You knew how excited he was for this shoot.

“Fine.”

“Thank you! Thank you so much y/n! Here take this file and read up on the looks for the shoot. I’ll bring you a makeup and stylist team ASAP. The shoot will start immediately when you’re ready!” He handed you a file with immense gratitude written on his face.

You reluctantly grabbed it from him, making your way to the makeup room as you tried to avoid the heated jealous stares of the girls around you. You glared at Jungkook as you walked past him, receiving a smirk in return.

When you reached the makeup room and sat on the model’s chair for the first time, you flipped through the file, reading the contents, your eyes widening and jaws dropping when you read it.

“Underwear shoot???!!”

You stared at yourself in the mirror after you had gotten your makeup and styling done. You were only wearing Calvin Klein underwear and a Calvin Klein jean jacket. Were you really about to do this? Of course, you looked hot. This was probably the hottest you have been in your whole 21 years of your life. But you were so nervous. You sucked in a deep breath, telling yourself: You have to do this well. This will give you many opportunities. Just suck it up.

You walked out awkwardly, feeling the heat of everyone’s stares. You could especially feel Jungkook’s heated stare.

“y/n! You look great! Come here! Let’s start the shoot!” Sejin commented in excitement when you came out.

You awkwardly walked over to in front of the camera where Jungkook was already waiting.

“Ok, y/n, I need you to sit on Jungkook’s lap and grab his neck while looking up innocently at the camera.”

You looked at Jungkook who had a smug look on his face as he waited for you to approach him. You tried not to stare down at Jungkook’s sudden exposed abs. Sucking up your embarrassment, you did as Sejin said.

Unexpectedly, the shoot went smoother than you expected. You managed to do many of the poses Sejin told you to do, even the intimate ones. Sejin even commented that you were a natural. Looking at the pictures taken, you also noticed that you somehow had a natural chemistry with Jungkook, with all your pictures with him seeming natural, like a real couple. In one of the pictures, you were straddling Jungkook as you both stared into each other’s eyes as if you both loved each other. You felt yourself blush as you stared at the picture. Despite the slight embarrassment, you couldn’t help but feel a new sense of pride when you were praised by everybody there, even staff members who previously did not even acknowledge your presence.

“And that’s a wrap! Thank you to everyone!” Sejin shouted.

You felt a flush of relief feel your body, a sense of tiredness taking over your body as you could finally relax.

You slowly got up from Jungkook’s shirtless body, looking away from him. You could still sense him staring at you as you walked away to change out of the uncomfortable undergarments.

After removing the extravagant makeup and changing into comfortable clothes, you walked out of the shoot feeling much more relaxed. You looked at the time on your phone, noticing it was already 11pm. Everybody must have already left by now.

You let out a content sigh, thinking back on the stressful day.

“y/n, wait! Dont go yet!”

Just as you were about to step out of the building, you heard a panicked voice behind you.

You turn around, seeing Jungkook who was panting hard as he bent down to catch his breath. He had changed into more comfortable clothing, with a hoodie and sweats, without any makeup on his face. Yet with such a natural look, he seemed so much more attractive to you. He must have ran after you if he was panting so much.

You crossed your arms, playfully smiling at him as you asked him why he stopped you. You felt a newfound sense of comfort with him after the shoot with him, maybe because you had been in such intimate positions with him.

“I-I need to tell you something. T-there’s something wrong with your phone. It doesn’t have your number in it…” Jungkook seemed nervous.

You looked at him in confusion, not understanding.

“W-wait! I mean there’s something wrong with my phone! It doesn’t have your number!” Jungkook hit his head in frustration, seeming actually annoyed at himself for not pulling off his pickup line correctly.

“So what do you want me to do about it?” You ask with a playful smirk on your face.

“You can fix it by giving me your number.” He said with a shy smile, still slightly embarrassed from his failed pickup line, as he reached out his phone to you.

You laughed out loud at his shyness and relentless determination. Jungkook laughed along with you shyly as you both shared a moment in the sweet darkness of the night.

You grabbed his phone from his hand, typing out your phone number.

I have 6 children

‏We live in one of the cities of the Gaza Strip, Khan Yunis. After the outbreak of the war on October 7th, rockets began raining down on us from every direction. I was forced to flee with my family and children from the heart of the city to the Al-Mawasi area in Khan Yunis on 1/12/2023

‏. Thus began the long journey of suffering,

‏fatigue, and displacement. There was no potable water, insufficient food for my family, nor even a home to shelter me and my children from the cold winter. We found nothing but a small tent, no more than four meters, to live in with my wife and six children.

‏I found myself cut off from the outside world, with no internet or any means of communication. Under these dire circumstances, I left Gaza on 5/5/2024 for the Arab Republic of Egypt.

‏I won't hide the fact that I took on debt and sold all my household furniture and personal belongings to gather $5,000, which was the cost of leaving Gaza. I knew the coordination fee for entering Egypt was high, but I was confident and hopeful that I would be able to communicate with the outside world to save myself and my family from this war.

‏Indeed, I created a link on the "GoFundMe" platform to start raising donations from my friends and anyone with a heart and conscience to help me save my children and family from the war.

‏I began to feel more optimistic little by little. The donations and aid I received after much effort and struggle over many long months, during which I spent day and night spreading my link and story to the world, reached $3,800. Every time I opened my link, I felt joy and optimism, as I was just a few steps away from achieving my goal, which I left Gaza for—to save my family from this war. In the meantime, I was constantly trying by all possible means to add a U.S. bank account by linking my account to a bank account. I tried many times and contacted several people.

‏But unfortunately, all my attempts failed, and I couldn't do it. I was shocked on Monday morning, 26/8/2024, when I received a message that my account had been completely closed, and all the donations were returned to their donors. I won’t hide the fact that this day was the worst in my life. I lost the hope, passion, and ambition that I had left my home and wandered the world to achieve. Now the unknown fate of my family confronts me once again.

As a child, Clover often tagged along to her mothers work at the local public library where she exclusively was drawn to books about space. She could spend hours in the comfy chair reading about all of the planets and stars and learning about the workings of our galaxies and all they contain.

At the age of fourteen, the girlfriend of Clover's mom gifted her a flimsy telescope, picked out lovingly at the local mall. It became Clover's most priced possession, and from then on she'd gaze at the stars every night after school, as soon as it got dark enough in their backyard. She'd keep notebooks to write down what she observed, often including drawings of sky-maps and constellations.

One night, right after her fifteenth birthday, Clover looked up into the sky and three big lights hovered over her in a triangle position. It flew just a few meters over her house, slowly and soundless. The lights were there for almost fifteen minutes, before heading south and disappearing over the tall buildings on the edge of the city. Clover was left breathless and completely entranced by this phenomenon.

This was a prompt for Clover to read up about UFO-sightings. She would read anything she could get her hands on, set up regular observatory meetings with friends hoping to witness anything that would explain what she saw that one winter night. Eventually most friends would stop coming, but Clover remained, dutifully keeping up her notebooks and expanding on her research.

Clover would never lose her interest in sightings and in her mid-twenties would start a magazine by the name of UFO's Disclosed, in which she reports on any sightings or other UFO-related news. The magazine started out small, but quickly became an essential space to everyone who concerned themselves with any of the discussed topics. From the subscription fees alone Clover is able to sustain herself, travel around and do local research at hotspots. Through the years she's accidentally profiled herself as a sighting-hotline, and she's learned to pick out the interesting stories to be published in the magazine.

An other topic Clover starts covering more and more over the years, are interviews with and stories by alien abductees. She feels as though it is important stories concerning UFO's and alien experiences are factually recorded and made accessible for research.

The last couple of years, Clover has had her base in Aurora Bay after receiving multiple notifications of sightings around the place. She can often be found on the beach with her observation gear, where she has a clear view of the sky. She has rented a small office space too, where she can receive guests if she needs to, and where she has a small printing station to press the magazine. It gives her some peace of mind to be settled a bit more and not have to rely on local print shops and dodgy motels. She does rent a small apartment too, but she's hardly ever around there since most nights she is out to observe, and most days she ends up napping on her office couch.

Clover finds it very important to keep some sort of objectiveness concerning her reports. She tries to keep everything close to the facts, and close to peoples experiences. However, she'd never deny that she will always be biased because of her own sighting. She comes across phlegmatic, although most people would find her line of work to contradict this. Clover will always ask any question crossing her mind. She is confident, but can be too stubborn at times. Currently, Clover is working on a book about the particular type of sightings in the Aurora Bay area.

Rivers And Mountains

Heading south for two thousand miles then turn and head southeast for three thousand miles, we finally reach the Enchanted Forest, I walk into the captains’ quarters to alert the captains of our arrival at the humongous forest’s beachy edge, “We’re in Dragon scale territory captains!”.

Sun sighs then stands, “We’v been traveling for two weeks now and we’v asked ya to call us Sun and Moon since the third day, how many times must we ask ye?”.

“But-” I start and Moon cuts me off, “No butsss.” he says while extending the ‘s’ like a hiss.

“We’ve made it to the Enchanted Forest, the tallest tree in the world is in the center of the forest.” I state continuing where I left off.

The twin captains roll their optics at the notice of me sidestepping their request again, “Alright, can ye tell us what of the land is Dragon territory?” Sun huffs then points to the map on the table of the enchanted forest and all surrounding areas.

“The main forest with the thirty-seven thousand meters tall tree named the tree of Tatsuki in it’s center and trees of all varieties ranging from three thousand meters to seven thousand meters, the two closest of the three islands above the mainland, and the bottom half of the closest district in the Celve region.”, “Then what is the third island?” Moon asks.

“Horseshoe territory. The island was gifted to the Horseshoe clan by Kenatatsu the king of Dragon claw to gain their trust and form an alliance between the two, the island itself is the only part of the Enchanted Forest that houses more beings with human-like intellect than just dragons, on that island lives humans, horse sirens, dragon sirens, normal dragons, and one other species of intelligence that lives only on that island. That's why when you said that you were meeting up with some from the Enchanted Forest I knew that we'd be headed to Pegasus Island." I inform them, "Ar' Pegasi the other species yer was talkin' 'bout? I'm guessing that based on the island's name.” Moon responds.

“Yes, they are, pegasi are half dragon and half horse. When the first pegasus was born a burst of energy caused trees to sprout, trees that no one had heard of, they’re called Toumaki trees and are only on that one island.” I state, “There ar’ pegasi, can I ride one?!” Sun screeched excitedly while flapping his hands. 

“I mean, if that’s what you’re into.” I state with a smirk, Sun stares at me with a confused look and Moon notices and snickers, he then whispers something into one of Sun’s audio sensors.

Sun’s cooling fans whir to life, he lightly blushes, and steam shoots out of all of his joints as he realizes the innuendo, “That's not what I meant!”, Moon gives a raspy chuckle at his reaction, “Ya know Y/n’s just messing with ya.”

Sun's blush darkens a little and he clears his throat into his fist, "I knew that, I was just trying to play along." He states as he looks away from me and Moon, "Sure ya were, we totally believe that." I state and laugh.

"I really was!" He states as he crosses his arms and puffs out his silicone cheeks in a pout, "We could go back and forth with this all day, but we need to meet Captain Casey first." Moon states, "Fine, but ye gonna answer me question first Y/n." Sun negotiates, "Okay." I agree.

“I’d advise that you don’t unless you’ve known them for a while and they trust you, you also have to ask their permission first and foremost, also don’t just go up to one and ask to fly on their back. Most importantly never come up to a horse or a pegasus from behind, you will get kicked in the crotch at two hundred miles per second because they’re not normal horses, aka your internals will explode from the sheer force.” I state while maintaining a serious look to show them that I'm not exaggerating.              

The twin captains visibly cringe at my last comment then they swallow the lumps in their throats at the same time, "Definitely don't do that Sun." Moon states while glaring at Sun, "I won't." Sun states with a sigh.

"Well if we visit the Tatsuki tree after this then you may be able to fly, but not on a pegasus, and I said maybe because Tatsuyo isn't a people person." I state, "Okay, we'll go after we come back to the ship to get ye." Moon states and they start to walk to the doors, "Hold up, I'm going with you two!" The rest of the crew see the argument and start to watch to see who wins, "No you're not, pirates are banned from Celve let alone district three! The people in district three are horrendous, they will tear you limb from limb just because you're pirates! The only way you're going to get to Pegasus Island is if you go to the Enchanted Forest, do you know what lives in the Enchanted Forest!?" I state after I raise my voice, the captain's have never heard me raise my voice, let alone to them, so they're standing there with matching shocked expressions, I wait a bit longer and notice that they're not going to say anything,"Well there's dragons, giant crabs, giant butterflies, giant lizards, giant bees, giant everything! They all eat humans or anything the size of a human, and yes they eat metal, in fact dragons love eating metal it helps their digestive tracts! Not only that but everything in that Forest will eat you alive, and all the trees are jumbo sized, all the plants are jumbo size, the flowers are the size of our normal trees and will eat anything they can reach!"

The two captains stare at me and awe, when they finally process exactly what I said their expressions turn grim.

They both look at each other then look back at me,"Fine ye can come, but when we tell ye to leave you're going to leave, and ye ain't going to listen to a single thing we talk about with Captain Casey!" Moon grumbles in annoyance, Sun nods his head in agreeance and they push down the plank to deboard the ship, before Moon steps on the board to leave the ship he turns to the crew who are still watching and yells at them,"And what are y'all looking at?! Get back to work!" The crew all quickly look away, scared, and scurry back to their positions.

We descend the plank onto the beach and walk forward ‘till I’m three meters away from the ship, the sand swishes between my toes because of the fact that I still haven’t acquired a pair of shoes yet. The wind blows past the skirt that I refuse to take off, it was the last gift I got from my brother before… Anyway I still wear it regardless of my pronouns. The twin captains join me on the tan particles and order the crew to remove the plank and guard the ship, they turn to the bright greenery of the lush forest.

They share an apprehensive look as I start to head in, "WAIT!" Sun yells, causing me to look at him in shock, "Ye don't have any shoes, ye'r going to stab yer feet." He says that he gestures to my bare toes. 

"How've ye not cut yer feet on loose nails in the ship yet? Moon says as steps towards to scoop me up.

"Woah, hey!" I shout as he sits me on his right shoulder, "Sirens have tougher skin than most creatures, even in our other forms, though Shield-scaled sirens have the strongest skin and scales of the siren species. Plus there's no need for you to carry me, I've been in and out of this forest so many times without even a scuff." I say with a huff.

"Welp, yer already up here so." Moon responds then starts heading for the greenery, "Hey moon, wait for me!" Sun shouts.

I tell them ways to avoid different giant homicidal animals' nests but the first time they completely ignore me, that's how we got in this situation. Slime and shit scented mucus covers us in this dimly lit area, the smell of stomach acid slowly getting stronger as the dissolving fluid comes closer to the top. A humongous fucking flower, that's what we're stuck inside, waiting for the acid to finish accumulating and release from the stem into the petals that have incased us in this large space that seems so small because of us three being jammed together. 

"Damn it! I told you to go right, not left! This is why I wanted to walk instead of being carried!" I scolded the twins from my perch on Moon's shoulder, "Now, there's only one way we can leave. I'ma need you both to listen very closely to my instructions.” I state after I turn their heads towards me. 

I tell them the plan and they nod, I hold out my hand so Sun can give me his sword. The center of the floral ceiling is the weakest point but out of reach due to it being seven feet taller then me when I stand on Moon’s shoulders.

Swallowed and melted by a tall flower, what a way ta go. We go into this situation when we came to a fork in the road, Y/n tells us to go right, the path looks old and like it hasn’t been used in a long time, large vines with thorns coil around tree roots and hang from above. Sun being the way that he is decided against going that way, so Y/n doesn’t get hurt. Without saying a word he takes the left path with long strides, I don’t want to separate from him, he gets lost easily. I follow him through the ferns all while ignoring the harsh whisper pouring out of the siren on my shoulder and catch up with him. We walk for a while on the well worn path, nothing bad seems to be here, at least that’s what me and Sun thought. Now we’re in a carnivorous, purple lily, with black goo dripping from the ceiling. The slime doesn’t seem to have any affects on any of us but the smell of acid is burning my sensors and Sun is panicking, his determination slowly deteriorating as he repeatedly tries to stab the petals that have cage us but his sword just slides off because of the slick black liquid dropping from above. I reach over and put my hand on his shoulder, he stops to face me with terror in his optics, like prey in a predator’s grasp. 

“Ye been trying to make a hole for twelve minutes now, ya have tried every petal in every way possible.” I tell him in a calm voice to calm him, his shoulders slump.

"Damn it! I told you to go right, not left! This is why I wanted to walk instead of being carried!" Y/n says in a semi-harsh tone, they turn my head with a hand and turns Sun’s with one of their legs, "Now, there's only one way we can leave. I'ma need you both to listen very closely to my instructions.” They state while maintaining eye contact. 

“The center of the floral ceiling is the weakest point, Moon is gonna have to stand on Sun’s shoulders while I stand on Moon’s,  that way we can reach the top. I’ll need Sun’s sword so I can stab it through, but the petals are so thick that stabbing even the weakest spot will only let the blade go though half way, so after I stab it Sun’s gonna need to jump so it’ll got the rest of the way through. When it’s in there fully it’ll be easy to slide the blade down along the side of the flower and cut a way out on the side near the ground like Sun was trying to do.  Okay everyone understand the plan?” They ask, we both answer with a nod, Sun’s determination returns tenfold as he hands them his sword. 

Sun kneels so I can step onto his shoulders and grabs my ankles so I can’t slip off, “Eveyone ready? I’m goin’ to stand up!” Sun says under me then stands in one swift motion causing me to sway forward in backward. 

“W-Woah, be careful!” Y/n says with a shaky voice from the sudden elevation change, Sun apologies as we all stabilize ourselves.

Y/n starts to stand up on my shoulders and I look up as I grab their ankles to make sure they don’t fall, looking up was the wrong move.

‘O-Oh shit! I forgot they’re wearing a skirt, I can see their underwear!’

Me and Sun got them many pairs of socks, underwear, and we were going to get them bras but they already had a waterproof binder. They didn’t have any of those things before because, well… They live in their siren form most their life. Sun noticed their lack of under garments a week after they lived on the ship, they tripped in the storage room when they both were looking for wood glue. Long story short he got an eye full of ass and turned into a sputtering mess, he didn’t let them leave our quarters until we docked and brang them underwear. They refused to wear any of it for a few days but we finally got them to understand why they needed the extra clothing, but they still refuse to wear the socks. 

‘They’re wearing the star print ones me and Sun agreed to get them.’ 

Me and Sun were arguing about what underwear we should get them. We argued about the color, the style, the print, so we ended up with an assortment of colors and patterns from each style. The one pair we agreed on were the panties are that are white with deep red, dark blue, and bright yellow stars of all sizes across them, the pair they are wearing at this moment.

I’m so distracted that I don’t hear the to people I’m sandwiched between ‘till Sun looks up to see what I’m doing, he realizes and positions his he slightly to the right and notices the panties. His optics widen and he starts to lose his balance which knocks me out my trance, he rebalances be for we all fall, he breathes a sigh of relief as Y/n gets our attention. 

“I can’t reach! Moon, could you lift me a few inches higher?” They ask as they stretch their arms and legs. 

“Y-Yup, on it!” I respond as I let go of one of their ankles to remove my hat, I hang it on my belt then return my hand to their ankle to lift them and let them stand on my head. 

“I can reach now!” They exclaim before they stab it center causing Sun to wobble, “Sun jump!”

Sun slams a foot on the ground then pushes as hard as he can, the sword slices the rest of the way and Y/n pulls the sword down the side with both hands as we brake formation and fall out the hole made from one of the petals being cut down the middle. Me and Sun hit the ground harshly and Y/n land gracefully on their feet like a cat, they slide the air with the grace of a skilled swords man to flick the green blood of the flower off Sun’s sword then goes to put it in a holster on their hip. They realize that there isn’t a holster and look at the sword in confusion, they seem to snap out of a fog and turn around to make eye contact with me. They look past me so I turn to see Sun sitting with his back facing us, I look back at Y/n and they put a finger to their lips to gesture me to not tell him. They smile and make their way to Sun to pat his shoulder to see if he’s okay, he stands and brushes himself off while reassuring them that he’s fine. He turns to them to inspect them to make sure they haven’t gotten hurt, he doesn’t even find a scratch and huffs in relief. 

‘Just who are they?’ I think to myself as I start to get up from the ground. 

Sun finally looks my way as I rise and they both make their way over to me, “Well at least we’re all okay! Let keep going, I was hoping we could reach there before dark.” Sun says with his signature bright smile, acting as if we didn’t just escape getting digested by a mother-fucking flower, typical Sun. 

I shake me head and smile as he bounces after Y/n, letting them lead the way this time.

Plans to enforce buffer zones around abortion clinics in England and Wales have been backed by MPs.

Under the proposed law, harassing, obstructing or interfering with any woman attending an abortion clinic would become a criminal offence.

Protesters found guilty of breaching 150-metre buffer zones around clinics would face up to six months in jail.

Labour MP Stella Creasy said buffer zones protect "women accessing a very specific type of health care".

Ms Creasy, who proposed the new rules, said: "It does not stop fee speech on abortion. It does not stop people protesting.

"It simply says you shouldn't have the right to do this in the face of somebody - and very often these people are right up in front of people."

The amendment to the Government's Public Order Bill, was approved by MPs by 297 votes to 110.

The bill still has several stages to clear before becoming law, including scrutiny in the House of Lords.

As it now stands the bill would ban influencing, impeding or threatening, intimidating or harassing, advising or persuading, using graphic, physical, verbal or written means to inform about attendees about abortion services.

Anti-abortion protests outside clinics in recent years have included displaying graphic images of foetuses, filming women and staff members, and large gatherings singing hymns.

Similar legislation has been proposed in Scotland.

Ms Creasy said: "Let's be honest, there's nobody praying outside the places you get a hip operation.

"There is nobody offering rosary beads or dead foetuses outside places you might go for an ankle injury.

"There is a time and a place to have that conversation, but it is not when you are dealing with vulnerable women."

Right To Life UK spokesperson Catherine Robinson said that if the amendment becomes law, as seems likely, "vital practical support provided by volunteers outside abortion clinics will be removed for women."

But the British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS) said the amendment would protect women and healthcare workers from harassment.

BPAS chief executive Clare Murphy said: "Every year, around 100,000 women are treated by a clinic or hospital for an abortion that is targeted by anti-abortion protests.

"These groups attempt to deter or prevent women from accessing abortion care by displaying graphic images of foetuses, calling women 'murderers', and hanging baby clothing around clinic entrances, causing women significant distress. Today's vote will bring an end to this activity."

Ealing council established the country's first buffer zone around a Marie Stopes clinic in 2018.

Since then other councils have proposed similar schemes.

So I thought, there has to be a reason for that: both Haitham and him started with 25%, if I recall correctly, with more interactions on Haitham's end, I belive he is still a tad lower than Cyno's meter even after the decrease. Now we are aware of Haitham's backstory, which for someone like him has to be the most emotionally involved he has ever been in someone (that btw, I couldn't help but think about "Hachiko" when he was waiting for capo to show up every morning). Having said that, what type of relationship Cyno had (or has, it's just that capo is unaware cjfjkf) maybe the fact that they both ended as orphans (his parents also died, right?) And growing up in the same place did something? Does he feel the need to own up all of capo's decision so far, since the humble and tragic origins didn't give them the right to bring harm? He was on the same boat as capo, yet all what he does is for the better. Or simply wants to protect them after so much suffering, just sit down and let him take the reigns.

On top of being silent, he is the worst if he ever dies; not only the church (which in the end is bigger than the mafia itself) but the adepti... what did this man do to become someone important enough to deal repercussions through them? Would Mabel be able to afford a Human-Sized Hamster Ball?

Okay, so I was re-watching Gravity Falls when I came across this image from season 1 episode 2 (The Legend of the Gobblewonker):

And while I know this was all in Mabel’s head, this autistic nerd couldn’t help but ponder the following question:

“Would Mabel actually be able to afford a human-sized hamster ball with only 500 USD?”

So, I decided to go find a hamster ball being sold online, and I found this one being sold from China:

At first, it seemed within Mabel’s budget since it says 400 USD, but then I realized that Mabel would also have to take into account the shipping fee. And this is where the mathematics comes in . . . keep in mind that this post may be long, so if you’re not ready to handle the math, then feel free to find a different Tumblr post to read! :)

Outline of The Plan

According to this top result from Google, shipping via air freight would cost from 4 USD to 8 USD per kg. We’ll be using the lower bound of $4 per kilogram. But, how will we figure out the mass in kilograms?

Well, recall this physics formula:

Density = Mass / Volume

Solving for Mass gives us:

Mass = Density × Volume

So, if we knew the density of the material the ball is made of, along with the volume of the material used to make it, then we can just multiply them to get our mass. And since this image tell us the dimensions of the material (2.5 m diameter and 1mm thickness) along with the type of material used (PVC), we have almost all the information we need:

The only other information we need is the density of the PVC used, which is probably the apparently cost-effective Rigid PVC at a minimum density of 1.3 grams per cubic centimeter.

Now, given all of this, let’s look at the calculations . . . 

The Actual Calculations!

Okay, so that looks like a lot. But, let’s go through it step by step . . . 

The material is really the difference of two spherical volumes. The larger sphere has diameter 2.5 meters, and thus a radius of 1.25 meters

The smaller sphere has a radius 1 mm less than the larger one, since 1 mm is the thickness. And thus, the smaller sphere’s radius is:

Smaller Radius = 1.25 meters - 0.001 meters = 1.249 meters

The Volume of any Sphere is computed by this formula:

So, the orange bit simply subtracts the formulas for the volumes of each sphere, and substitutes the given radii. This gives us about 0.01961925 cubic meters, or converting to cubic centimeters, about 19619.25 cm^3 of plastic.

Since the density of the plastic is 1.3 grams/cm^3 (shown in maroon), this gives us about 25505 grams of mass or about 25.5 kilograms of plastic (shown in blue).

Finally, in brown, we see that even if shipping was $4 per kilogram, the shipping fee would be at least $102.

This would give us a minimum total cost of $400 + $102 shipping = $502 for the ball . . . sorry, Mabel! Even if you and Dipper did win the photo contest and split the $1000 prize evenly, you may have needed to borrow from his share! :)

Food: The Convention center is in an ideal food location. China Town, and Reading Terminal Market, along with the Fashion District shopping mall nearby provides plenty of food and drink options.

Transportation: The mass transit is solid in Philadelphia. If you're flying in there is a train station at each terminal of the airport, and a kiosk to buy a SEPTA Pass which gets you access to all the trains and busses in the city.

Parking: Parking in Philly is a nightmare, it's so bad they had a reality TV show about it for a bit. If you have to park in the city be prepared to download parking meter aps, or pay garage fees everywhere you go.

Winter Market: All around City Hall and other parks next to the convention center you'll find a massive winter market with local vendors selling all kinds of food, art, and clothes. definitely worth checking out.

Local History: Philadelphia has an impressive array of local and national history, and some world famous museums. If you can take an extra day to visit some of these things it's totally worth it.

Pot: Medical Weed is legal in the state of PA, it requires a doctor appointment and several weeks to get the card before you can visit a dispensary

Alcohol: There are plenty of bars, beer and spirits shops in the city. No open containers on the street or in your car.

Kensington: If you are still looking for a place to stay, avoid anything in this part of the city. It is suffering from the worst parts of the opioid crisis in the US, open air market for fentanyl and other opiats.

Fuck around and find out: Local moto that became a national slogan. Basically, mind your business when in public places. Harassing someone will not go well (not that anyone would!).

As for the shipping thing, I don’t quite get what you’re saying? I work in a post office that deals with USPS, FedEx, and UPS, so I’ll explain from what I can understand. With Etsy and really any online vendor like that, when you make a sale, the shipping cost goes towards creating a prepaid shipping label that the seller will print out and put on the outside of the package. The cost of shipping wouldn’t be profit because it’s the cost of purchasing a label / correct postage and you wouldn’t need that money to use to buy the correct meter / postage for the package because it goes towards the purchase and creation of this shipping label that the seller prints out.

This differs from a sale or the shipment of something that does not have a prepaid label. For that, you would bring it into the post office, weigh it, and choose from your options depending on how fast you want the package to get there, pay for it, and then the clerk will print out a meter or a label (in my particular PO, we print labels for FedEx, but print meters for USPS)

On Etsy, from what I can gather, the seller of the shop can purchase the shipping labels through Etsy itself. My labels will be USPS first class (the cheapest method of shipping and the method used for packages underneath 13 ounces) since my packages will be typically pretty light. Etsy says that purchasing the labels through them for USPS gives a 30% discount on the price of the label compared to the PO price, which is pretty nice. My PO gets discounts with FedEx, not USPS, so I’ll most likely be using Etsy’s shipping label service. It says that there’s no additional fee to use it from what I can tell.
