Practically Magic Chapter One - Homecoming
Tumblr media
Summary:
Growing up in the same tiny mountain town, Y/N Owens and Dean Winchester despised each other. The only thing they ever agreed on was their need to escape. Life took them in opposite directions and neither of them ever looked back.
So, when their paths cross over a series of gruesome murders in their hometown it was no surprise that old friction heated up again.
Dean never dreamed he’d be teaming up with a psychic, the FBI frowned on that sort of thing, but he was desperate. When that psychic turned out to be Y/N Owens, Dean knew two things for sure. One, Y/N was the real deal and two, he was in real trouble.
Pairing: Agent!Dean x Psychic!Reader, Dean x Reader, AU Dean x You
Characters: Dean Winchester, Sam Winchester, John Winchester, Bobby Singer
Warnings: Slow Burn, Serial Killer Elements, Witches, Haters to Lovers, Claustrophobic Elements, Murder Scenes
Author’s Notes: This is an AU taking elements from the film Practical Magic and applying them to a fictional world where Dean Winchester is an FBI Agent. You will find parallels from that movie here, some quotes and other elements that capture the essence of the world of the Owens Witches. Hopefully!
Additional Author’s Notes: This is a unique reader insert story as I have given the reader a physical description including hair color, eye color and body type.
Additional Additional Author’s Notes: This was originally all one chapter and then I realized how long it was so you get two chapters posting at once! Call it an early Halloween present! Thank you all for your enthusiasm in anticipation of this story, hope you love it!

“My darling girl, when are you going to understand that being normal is not necessarily a virtue? It rather denotes a lack of courage.” – Aunt Francis Owens, Practical Magic
Home. You were going home. After nearly eighteen months on a book tour that hit every state in the union and another twelve in L.A. working the film adaptation, Y/N Owens was going home.
The Witch in the Well had been a labor of love. A twisted fairy tale that was more than a little autobiographical. It shot to the top the New York Times best seller list and stayed there for a year. Like a comet streaking across the heavens, it came out of nowhere and took the world by storm. There were whispers early on calling you the next J.K. Rowling. Frankly, that was a can of worms on far too many levels. All you wanted to do was write, tell stories. To have enough success to pay your rent and buy a new pair of boots.
Your publicist had never seen anything like it. Everything was a green light. You were King Midas, everything you touched turned to gold. Unbelievable good luck. One in a million. A lightning strike! You had your suspicions that your family had used their collective mystical influence to tip the scales of the universe in your favor. Of course, you had no real proof. They were far too crafty to leave any sort of detectable evidence.
When you pressed the issue with your grandmother over a bottle of apple wine, she gave you the only confirmation you’d ever get.
Bah! People pray morning, noon, and night for the tiniest thing! Pray to make a yellow light. Pray the football team wins the big game. Pray the wife doesn’t notice the lipstick on the husband’s collar. Your book is brilliant and bound to be a success. It was only a matter of the right people seeing it. Call it luck if it suits you, but the universe has a way of balancing itself. After all this time, I’d say you were due for a bit of the good stuff.
Good stuff indeed! One minute you were renting a room above a garage in Portland, tending bar at night while you wrote during the day. The next you were checking your luggage on a first-class flight bound for New York. You had interviews on the morning shows and meetings with Hollywood executives in five-star restaurants. Five minutes of fame turned into a full-blown career that was not showing any sign of slowing down.
Of course, you’d never been any damn good at slowing down anyway.
A smile curved your lips as your foot pressed the accelerator. The Italian sportscar increased its already impressive speed, smooth as silk as it hugged the sharp curves of the narrow, mountain road. Blood red with leather seats, state of the art sound system, and a ridiculous amount of horsepower. Sex on wheels, it was purely to show off and you knew it. Going home was never easy for you. It meant facing reminders of a difficult childhood.
When your publicist suggested using your hometown as the location to launch the release of your second book, you immediately refused. It was tiny, remote, and no place you ever wanted to go back to. Unfortunately, you used it as the setting for your story. It put Silverton on the map in a big way. With the excitement already buzzing around the movie, it made good business sense to have a big bash for the next installment right where is all started. So, you relented. But you’d be damned if you were going to slink back quietly. Go big or go home. In this case, both.
You were too deep into Pink’s latest album to notice the blue and red flashing lights in your review. It took the sirens sounding to finally catch your attention. “Fuck,” you muttered, noting your speed at well over 100 mph. You quickly slowed down and pulled over to the side of the road. A simple charm for luck with the law passed your lips as you reached into the glove box and rolled down the window.
“Ma’am, do you have a valid reason for driving fifty over the speed limit?”
The registration and insurance papers kept sliding away from your fingertips. “Damn it,” you cursed, stretching further into the car. “Sorry, officer… this is a new car and I’m not really used to it.”
“Yeah, we don’t get many Maserati’s…. Y/N?”
You whipped your head around at the sound of your name in the pleasing baritone voice. The sheriff’s uniform and mirrored aviators suited him. No longer the boy you grew up with, still you’d recognize him anywhere, “Holy shit… Sam?”
He removed his sunglasses and smiled that lopsided smile that was oh so familiar. “Y/N Owens. It’s been a long time.”
“It’s been a lifetime.” You gave him an appraising once over. You had to admit, the years had been good to him. The Sam you remembered was a lanky, shaggy haired, over-grown puppy dog. A bit of a goofball but top of the class smart, and sweet as could be.
That first day of grade school, when everyone else avoided you like the plague, Sam came right up to you. Unbothered by the rumors that swirled around your family since before you were born.
“Hi, is it okay if I sit here?”
You looked up from your untouched lunch and saw a boy from your class standing beside you with a tray in his hands. You were completely alone. All of the other kids had clustered together on the other side of the cafeteria. Even the tables surrounding yours were empty. You were used to it and learned to be content with your own company. But being used to it didn’t make it easy.
“Hey, Sam! Over here!” A group of boys called to him, but he didn’t acknowledge them. He just kept smiling expectedly at you.
You always had a little trouble making friends. You seemed to say the wrong thing all the time. You’d blurt out secrets having no idea they were never meant to be uttered. Gran called it your gift, but it didn’t feel like one.
But Sam seemed different, felt different. He felt kind. When he smiled his eyes smiled too.
You shrugged, turning your attention back to the well-worn book in your lap. “Sure.”
“What are you reading?”
You held up the cover for him to see. It was one of the Chronicles of Narnia series.
Sam dug into his mac and cheese, “Cool! That’s a good one. Voyage of the Dawn Treader is my favorite, though.”
Your eyes widened. You were an advanced reader for your age, most of your classmates hadn’t even heard of those books let alone read them. “Mine too! I’ve read it like ten times!”
He grinned at you, “I’m Sam, by the way. Sam Winchester.”
You smiled back, a genuine smile for the first time that day. “Y/N Owens.”
“Sam Winchester turned Johnny Lawman. You look good kid; the badge works for you.”
“Kid.” Sam repeated with a smirk, “We’re the same age, Y/N. Although I’d say time’s been better to you. I found three gray hairs this month.”
“You poor bastard.”
“Seriously Y/N, this car,” he ran his hand over the open window, “The book selling business must be booming.”
“It is, but don’t be too impressed. It’s a rental,” you confessed. “A bribe actually, from one of the studios vying for the production rights.”
Sam whistled, “Life in the fast lane, huh?”
“Something like that. Figured what the hell, if I had to go home, may as well be in style. Besides, I only have it for a few days. The dealership in Denver is picking it up at the end of the week.”
“So, you’re staying for a while?” Sam couldn’t help sounding hopeful. “I was surprised when Viv said you were having your release party in Silverton. I didn’t think you’d come back, like ever.”
You weren’t sure how to answer. Sam was right, you never intended to come back. But now that you were just a few miles away from home, you felt a pull you hadn’t expected. The closer you got, the stronger it got. Something down deep was saying you were right where you needed to be.
“There’s just no telling what the future will bring.”
Sam chuckled, “Yeah okay, well you keep this beauty under eighty or your future is going to include a hefty speeding ticket.”
You winked, “No promises.”
He patted the roof of your car and put his sunglasses back on as he straightened to his impressive height. “Welcome home, Y/N.”
Silverton, Colorado. A bustling mining town when the west was wild, now little more than a brief stop on the tourist trail. A collection of historic store fronts lined main street. Largely unchanged from the day you left, except for the miraculous addition of the upscale bar in the Hotel Baker. Smack in the middle of everything stood The Compendium.
The ornate, two-story building once housed the general store and had been in your family since Silverton was first settled. Generations of Owens’ had provided the community with everything from dry goods to ammunition, usually with a bit of mystical advice on the side. Not all that different from today. When your grandmother, Vivienne took it over she moved the magic out of the shadows and put it front and center.
Hells bells, everyone knows what we are anyway! Time to come out of the broom closet!
Gran’s motto was if you couldn’t find what you were looking for in her store, it probably wasn’t worth finding in the first place. Which is how an eclectic shop like hers was able to draw customers from five states over. Gran was a finder; it was her gift. Misplaced car keys, missing estate documents, lost loves. You need something impossible? Odds were Viv Owens had it in her back room.
You checked your reflection briefly in the front display window, your eye catching a huge poster advertising a book signing and launch party. A blown-up picture of you from the dust jacket of the book stared back. Your nose wrinkled. You’d spent most of your life in this town trying to go unnoticed, now you were about to step into the biggest spotlight Silverton had ever seen.
Determined to play your part, you squared your shoulders and pulled open the leaded glass door. The place was packed. Just like the rest of downtown, there were people everywhere. Not even the Winter Festival brought this many strangers to town. Your publicist was right, this was going to be big.
You wove your way through the crowd, noting the impressive display of The Witch in the Well booksin the middle of the main floor. It fit right in with the rest of Gran’s inventory of altar tools and curios. It smelled the same, dusty books and candle wax. It felt the same.
One of Gran’s many cats stopped grooming itself to peer at you. It’s bright, amber eyes gleaming against thick, black fur. With the indifference of bored royalty, it flicked it’s tail and sauntered off towards the back of the shop. You followed.
“The cards said you’d be along today.”
“So did the itinerary I sent you,” You replied, stepping through the velvet curtains that hid the entrance to your grandmother’s office. The massive, white dog that was stationed at her feet came up to greet you. You rubbed behind her ears affectionately,
“And I texted you this morning.”
She kept her silver head bent over the ledger, entering numbers long-hand, as she plucked up a tarot card and held it up for your inspection.
Daughter of Swords. Truth and courage.
“Fair enough.”
Viv snorted and shut the ledger with a definitive snap. “I like the red,” she said, waving a hand at you, “That color always suited you.”
You ran a hand through your newly cut and colored locks. You never liked the way you looked. Your hair was a mousy cross between blonde and brown. Your short frame always seemed to carry extra pounds and your dark eyes made you look more serious than you were.
When the L.A. stylist asked you what you wanted her to do, you gave her free rein.
“Anything, just not this.”
“Let’s try this again, Sweetness. How do you want to feel?”
You stared at your reflection, determined that it would never be the same. “Strong.”
She cut your hair short, very short. Leaving a long, dramatic side-sweep of bangs in the front and dyed it a deep auburn. It transformed your face from somber to sexy. Made your eyes seductive and accented cheekbones you never noticed before. You worked with a trainer. While you never met the Hollywood standard, you did develop some muscle mass and a new appreciation for your body. Flaws and all.
“Thanks, Gran.”
Vivienne Owens stood from her desk. You’d always admired her effortless beauty. Wand slender with thick silver hair and deep, brown eyes that matched your own. She took your chin in her hand and gave you a long, hard look before nodding with approval.
A mischievous smile split her face and she winked. “Welcome home, darling girl.”
You smiled back and watched as she plucked a dry-cleaning bag from the coat rack and disappeared behind the carved dressing screen in the corner.
“You know you’re tempting the gods by hosting your shindig on Samhain.”
You perched on the edge of her desk, petting the black cat who had decided to reappear. “Donna thought it would be clever marketing to have it on Halloween night. You were the one who offered up the shop as a venue.”
Her voice was muffled through the rustle of clothes, “Its practically a blaspheme. Your cousins in Connecticut were particularly scandalized. I don’t care what your publicist says, it’s simply not done.”
Your ears perked up, “Connecticut? You mean Agatha and Aiden?” Your fingers stilled in the cat’s fur, “They aren’t coming, are they?!”
“Y/N, everyone is coming. The entire Owens clan has already R.S.V.P.’d. Which reminds me, the house is already filled with wayward relatives, so you’ll be bunking in the carriage house.”
“Fuck me.”
“Another blaspheme,” she admonished you. “I should charge you for that.”
You made a face at the screen. You were a grown woman, damn it. You were entitled to speak as you pleased. “Put it on my tab.”
“Rates have gone up, its twenty for the f-word. And don’t roll your eyes.”
Viv came out from behind the screen, smoothing her hands down her sides. The dress was elegant, just a simple wrap in black paired with silver jewelry. Perfection. Your Gran could have given Jackie Kennedy a run for her money.
“Got a hot date?”
Viv smiled and a man’s voice came through the thick curtain, “Knock, knock.”
Your eyes widened as a familiar face came through from the store, “Fuck me.”
“That’s another twenty.”
“Y/N, good to see you,” Bobby held out a wide hand to you, “Sam mentioned you were back.”
You shook his hand. Your eyes darting between the pair, and you wondered how long this had been going on. “Sheriff Singer.”
He chuckled, remarkably good natured. He wore a suit, an actual suit! Beard trimmed, hair combed, spicey aftershave. Almost unrecognizable from the man you knew growing up.
The Bobby Singer you remembered was a scruffy-looking, whiskey soaked, hard ass.
“Bobby is fine. Sheriff Singer is what the kids call me when I bust ‘em for drinking beer behind the bleachers.”
“Bob and I are going out for dinner,” Viv informed you as Bobby helped her into her coat. “Lock up when you leave and take Juno with you. Her kibble is in the mudroom, she gets three scoops.”
Bobby couldn’t help smiling at your bewildered expression. “Have a nice night, Y/N.”
The happy couple sailed out through the curtains, and you frowned down at Juno who thumped her tail in response.
“It’s great to be home.”

Joshua Dildine Interview
The Joshua Dildine Interview is finally here. We take a deep dive into the duality of his work, the friction and synthesis between instinct and intellect.
Cave paintings made of poop, sci-fi and spirituality along with the otherworldliness permeating through his oeuvre, are all explored as I probe to get a better understanding of what drives his mysterious, yet familiar, compositions. Read along to see how these seemingly paradoxical elements come together, as past, present and future merge.

Joshua Dildine, Life Well Lit, 2012
PB: Hey Joshua, thank you for taking the time to do this. Your work is so viscerally powerful I feel like words almost become redundant, but in any case I've had a strong urge to talk to you to learn more about the dimensions you open up. One of the things that struck me when watching some of the interviews you've done, is how down to earth and level-headed your approach seems to be, in contrast to your works, which strikes me as being almost out of this world in terms of space and language. More often than not, I find the opposite to be true in a lot of artists, where the lucid descriptions of the work fall flat in comparison to the external reality of forms. In that sense I found it quite refreshing to see your humble approach, and it made me even more curious about your philosophy and how you approach art in a general sense.
It seems as though you came across your style, for lack of a better term, as we know it today in 2011. And I was wondering how your personal perception of it have changed and evolved in the past 6 years? I know it's a broad question, so feel free to highlight what you find most interesting and, or, surprising in the course of this development.
JD: I am really a pretty down-to-earth guy, despite what my paintings may say about me. Ive always been interested in creating atmosphere and depth in abstract painting. My personal perception has changed quite a bit ever since I started painting over photos in 2011. I started doing it as a somewhat sarcastic response to some criticism I had to my work prior to the photos; something about the work was not personal enough. So in a humorous effort to make it personal, I painted over a photo of my face. I continued to do this and started pulling from other family photos. I realized that there was an inherit power that the images had over me, as well the people that I was painting over. For example, when I pulled my parents engagement photo off the wall and painted over it, my mom was pissed. She initially didn’t realize that I’d scanned the original and reprinted it to paint over the copy, and even then was slightly disturbed by the act. There was a connection there that was more powerful that just a painted ground to work over. Another thing I realized at this time, was scribbling out the faces of my parents was not easy. In other words, my personal attachment to the subjects made it hard to scribble their image out. So in the earlier work, my intention was to deny the power of the image and use it as a visual armature from which to create my paintings.
As I continued to work through this process, the idea remained as an undertone, but not the main idea that pushed the work forward. I started to focus on the visual language that the photographs contained (depth of field, light source, lens flair, motion blur, color deterioration, color, atmosphere). I was using photographic means, and still do, to answer questions of abstraction (borrowing that idea from David Reed). In contrast, I set out to answer photographic questions through abstract means. I started embellishing elements of the photographs that would confuse the space. I was reading a lot of sci-fi, Orson Scott Card at the time, and had “antigravity” on the brain. Gravity has more power in photography than abstract painting, so in a way to deny those "powers" as well, I would switch the orientation to provide influence to the composition.
The word "defacement" got old and outdated pretty fast. I was no longer interested in that conversation. The gestures themselves could change the way we perceive the intention behind the act of painting over someone. If I took a thin brush, pen, or pencil and "scribbled" out the faces in fast lines, it reads aggressive and hostile. If I have a thick blob looking gesture it is a lighter color, done slowly, intentionally, it’s a less hostile read.

Joshua Dildine, Rediscover Delicious Harmony, 2011
PB: The dangers of being pigeonholed is like a mine field when establishing your work, I guess, so it seems like a good idea to proactively avoid the traps that reveal themselves early on. Can you elaborate a bit on how you steered the evolution of your work in that regard?
JD: The way I view the power that images have changes with each image I choose. I couldn't say that to a white canvas. Using photographs as a ground has a multi-faceted advantage for me; there is an emotional response to the act, then there is the strictly visual challenge of being presented with questions to answer with paint. And now, there is a possessive point of pride that the subjects of the photographs have with the paintings. As if they were portraits. My siblings refer to a painting as their own, when it has an image of them underneath. “How many of Matt, or Taylor, or so-and-so are in this show?”, might be a conversation we have leading up to an exhibition.
At this point, I have been reevaluating what I've been doing and have discovered another aspect to interacting with the photos I had not expected. Over a year and half ago we moved to my hometown to take over my grandparents’ house. The act of moving into a house that you have a historical connection with, changing it and making it your own, in some ways is the same thing I have been doing to the photos. There were boxes and boxes of old family photos and slides when we moved in from generations beyond my memory, as well as some relics of furniture and trinkets. Using these to work from connects me to the people that owned them, but the fact that I’m living in the space provides little differentiation between my life and the work. I am constantly re-evaluating what makes my work so personal, and drawing from that.

Joshua Dildine, Be First More Often, 2012
PB: I think it's very interesting that you discovered your style in such a serendipitous fashion, and then stuck with it and let it evolve from there on it's own terms. It can be quite hard to comprehend that it all happened on a lark, in a way, and yet now manifest itself in such a powerful and fully fledged way. I'm guessing the only way it could happen like that was because you were open to it, and then when you found it, you stuck with it because you recognized it's potential. For which I applaud you, by the way, because I think your work is brilliant.
Compliments aside, the reason I point this out, is because your work strikes me as being intuitive in many respects, as opposed to calculated, in the sense of you trusting your instincts and going with the flow. I remember seeing an interview you did, where you talked about how your son made some moves on one of your paintings one day while you were out of the studio, but instead of discarding it, you embraced it. I found that anecdote beautiful, but also telling in regards to your process. I think that's a delightful way to approach art, because it allows you to go beyond your own understanding and play with the chaos and randomness of the world in a constructive way.
On that note I'd like to know more about your process, I imagine it can be a bit of a jigsaw puzzle to balance family life with your work as an artist sometimes. How does a perfect day in the studio look like to you? How do you approach the work, and what's your setup like?
JD: My work is a fine balance between spontaneity, intuition, structure, chaos/destruction, and reconstruction. My process is so wrapped up into the way I live my life; This goes back to how I want to keep the work as personal as possible. As a parent, you rely on spontaneity and intuition. For example, if you are getting ready to leave the house, and you realize that your toddler thought it was a good time to make cave paintings in his bedroom... with poop, you have to change plans, be spontaneous, clean it up, be late to where ever you are going, discipline, laugh, learn, and live on. I had the best intentions to leave the house, we eventually left the house, but our destination changed. Connecting poop murals back to my painting: I can have an agenda, I can have set parameters for where I want each piece to go. I am always open to a change of destination. Additionally, I do not think it is about using the photos as a constraint or a restriction on spontaneity. It is more like a play between structure and intuitive choice. The two ideas each have a place in my work, they both exist.  As a parent I've learned that situations like these can be multi facetted. Poop murals by a toddler is inappropriate but it can also be funny. They are both allowed to exist in this space. Intuition and structure are allowed to exist in the same space and do so beautifully. Each has influenced the other. The photos have changed and improved the way I paint abstraction just as, I hope, the paintings have improved the space of the photos.
With that said, a "perfect" day in the studio, is when the lawn is mowed, chores are done, bills are paid, all the studio prep-work has been done, and I have zero distractions. The day will start with a cup of coffee, end with a glass of wine. Sure this sounds like a "unicorn" of studio days and completely unrealistic now that I write it out . A great day doesn't have to be a perfect day. I have a lot of great days in the studio. Often those "great" days are realized in hindsight. The distractions from the kids, spontaneous lunch dates with my wife, my pin-striper neighbor stopping by and having painting discussions that are unrelated to art. But, great days must start with a cup of coffee and end with a glass of wine.

Joshua’s studio, Installation view.
PB: I love it, and thank you for bringing back the nuance, as I realize now how limited the question I posed was. What I mean here, is that I posed it as an "either, or" when in fact, as you point out, it's more of a synthesis between instinct and intellect. Wine and coffee.
I think it would be reckless of me not to get into the aesthetics of your work, now that we're talking. Your work is obviously coming from a very personal place, but when I look at it, it's more of a mystery, like a David Lynch movie. The look of the photographs you use as "backgrounds" send my mind back to film camera's from the 70s, while the strokes you use in the foreground, and the color combinations seems almost futuristic, or at least highly contemporary. It seems you're building on artists like Albert Ohlen and Gerhard Richter in terms of the handling of paint and layering in many ways. Can you talk a little bit about your influences in this area, and what the aesthetics of art means to you in terms of your own work?
JD: My inspiration changes all the time. I try to pull from visual resources that are personal, honest, and current to my state in life. I avidly study current and historic art as well as amateur and commercial artists. The Aesthetics of my pieces predominately respond, and are a departure from, the photographs. Photos from the 80’s with 70’s décor make for interesting color combinations to work with but I love that you picked up David Lynch. I was reading a lot of Frank Herbert and Orson Scott Card, and binge watching seasons of Dr. Who, back when I first started to work on the photographs. So naturally, I responded to that interest. I love the language used to illustrate alternative worlds and alternative space, basically any ideas that take you out of this world.
I think what I find fascinating in science fiction are the familiar themes and vocabulary, that we know, jumbled and placed in a setting that makes us experience something new and unfamiliar. I view my work in a similar way. The painted gesture, to an abstract painting, acts very much like words in a story. Each mark represents different vocabulary. For that reason I am drawn to Albert Oehlen’s work. His work is very “articulate”, there is so much variety in the mark making. I attempt to make my works articulate; there are a lot of different styles of marks through-out each piece, and the result is an altered visual plane of the photograph and painting. Within my paintings, space will expand and collapse, and mass will solidify and vaporize. The way that people move paint fascinates me, and I often look in uncommon places, like seeing a spray paint artist make a space scene using just spray paint with magazine clippings as brushes. I learn a lot from my pin-striping neighbor who approaches painting from a very different perspective. Ultimately, I am a collector of photographs and a collector of visual vocabulary.

Joshua Dildine, False May Minds, 2015
PB: That’s a great approach, because I think there’s a strong trap-like tendency within contemporary art, because of the rich history of art, to become insular and self-referential. The postmodern Ouroboros. I’m always more interested in the way life itself informs art, like poop murals, pin-striping neighbors, or that time Salvador Dali was sitting at a dinner table, watching a camembert cheese dissolve, which he then connected to Einsteins theory of relativity, and then proceeded to create his iconic painting The Persistence of Memory, portraying melting watches.
In my own work I often portray gold, which is one of the heaviest metals, floating in dreamlike spaces. That antigravitational friction, is something that is quite common in music and dreams. The idea of moving on another wavelength, in another dimension is something that speaks to me on a deep level, because of the transcendentalism it conjures up, and it seems that’s where our interest overlap. Just to tap this vein a little further before we wrap up this interview, I was wondering why you are attracted to this otherworldliness?
The reason I ask is because I’m very curious about the duality in your work of the personal (photography) and the interdimensionality inherent to the forms you introduce through your application of paint on the metaphorical / philosophical level.
JD: Thanks! That is a great question. You are the first to really tap in on that interdimensionality, but, it is definitely there. The sublime is not a new concept to be explored in art.  Many abstract painters in particular, recognize that there is something going on beyond them, in those moments lost in painting. The act of painting, for me, as controlled as I can be, has always been somewhat spiritual. I feel like I tap into something that is just out of my reach. Pairing this with the springboard of photographs adds a grounded element that really speaks to the past as a frozen moment in time. Painting feels like a movement outward, toward the future while the act of painting is very present. I am a Christian and I am a contemporary artist. These two identities don’t always seem to blend well in the world that I grew up in and I have, for a long time, wrestled to keep them somewhat separate. Yet, this parallel keeps popping up in my work. Perhaps that duality, inadvertently parallels the painting and photography elements in the work, and the success of the piece depends on the interaction of these two identities.
I am constantly reminded that I am apart of something much bigger than myself. Using photographs, like I said, is a powerful link to a sense of history and legacy. When I use old family photographs I feel a connection with the people in them and the spaces they inhabited. Just the other day, I was looking at old colored slide of my great grandfather, and I noticed that he had the same colored walls and the same type of stains, that could only be caused by a toddler, on those walls. It was profound to see the likeness in our facial features, but even more profound to see those stains on those walls. Yes, that is something subtle and abstract, but there is beauty in spending the time to observe and witness this.
I feel this link strongly as I am living in and remodeling my grandfather’s home. It feels like painting over photos at times, changing the space little bits at a time and thinking of what they might have when the original elements of the home where put in or changed along the way.
Since becoming a father, I have felt more connected to the future, how to foster the potential my children have to leave a positive impact. This is a different kind of legacy. These dualities of past, present and future as well as a physical grounding paired against that otherworldly sublime are the beautiful subtleties of life that I cannot help but see make their way into the work that I do. Not in a contrived way, but in a natural outpouring of reflected life.

Joshua Dildine, The Games We Play, 2013
PB: I think that's a perfect way to end the interview Joshua, thank you so much for taking the time, as well as opening up. It's been a great pleasure learning more about the deeper levels of your practice.
What are the best ways for me and the readers to stay updated on your work? And do you have any upcoming shows we need to know about?
JD: Thanks Price, It was my pleasure. I appreciated your read into the work that was so intuitive and probing to truly try to understand it at a deeper level.

Practically Magic
Chapter One: Homecoming
Hopefully!
Additional Author's Notes: This is a unique reader insert story as I have given the reader a physical description including hair color, eye color and body type.
Additional Additional Author's Notes: This was originally all one chapter and then I realized how long it was so you get two chapters posting at once! Call it an early Halloween present! Thank you all for your enthusiasm in anticipation of this story, hope you love it!
Chapter One: Homecoming
Word Count: 2697
You wove your way through the crowd, noting the impressive display of The Witch in the Well books in the middle of the main floor.

“It is a homage [to Ralph Myerz and the Jack Herren Band’s song “Nikita”] – and completely intentional. I love Ralph Myerz, that song and not least the female vocals – the humming – have always fascinated me. “Midas Touch” is really about how I think she is like, the woman who sings in that song. So, it’s a kind of intricate declaration of love for that song, but most of all for her.”

Tumblr media
“The Golden Touch" is a modern re-telling of the King Midas story with Jack Benny and his friends as King Midas and his court. It was directed by Robert F. Mansfield, written by Robert Hugh O’Sullivan and with Harry Zimmerman as the composer / conductor.
Tumblr media
“Family Theater” was a weekly half-hour dramatic anthology radio program which aired on the Mutual Broadcasting System (MBS) from February 13, 1947, to September 11, 1957. The show was produced by Family Theater Productions, a film and radio studio extension of the Family Rosary Crusade founded by Father Patrick Peyton as a way to promote family prayer. The motto of the the Holy Cross Family Ministries is, "The family that prays together, stays together."
Although the program had no commercial sponsor, Father Peyton arranged for many of Hollywood's biggest stars to appear including James Stewart, Bob Hope, Lucille Ball, Raymond Burr, Jane Wyatt, Charlton Heston, Bing Crosby, Jack Benny, Gene Kelly, William Shatner, and Chuck Connors.
A total of 540 episodes were produced. The program featured not only religious stories but half-hour adaptations of literary works such as A Tale of Two Cities, Moby-Dick and Don Quixote.
Tumblr media
Synopsis ~ Lucille Ball is the hostess and Jack Benny stars as the King obsessed with his gold and counting it. The Queen and her daughter get a Genie to sort the King out. The Genie grants the King one wish and the King tells the Genie that he can always use more gold and asks that everything he touches will turn to gold. Of course this seems exciting at first until he turns the Queen and his daughter in to solid gold.
Tumblr media
The program was repeated on May 23, 1951.
Tumblr media
King Midas is popularly remembered in Greek mythology for his ability to turn everything he touched into gold. This came to be called the golden touch, or the Midas touch.
CAST
Tumblr media
Jack Benny (King Midas) was born on Valentine’s Day 1894. He had a successful vaudeville career, and an even greater career on radio with “The Jack Benny Program” which also became a successful television show. His screen persona was known for being a penny-pincher and playing the violin. Benny was a Beverly Hills neighbor of Lucille Ball’s and the two were off-screen friends. Benny appeared on “The Lucy Show” as Harry Tuttle (a Jack Benny doppelganger) in “Lucy and the Plumber” (TLS S3;E2), later did a voice over cameo as himself in “Lucy With George Burns” (TLS S5;E1), and played himself in “Lucy Gets Jack Benny’s Account” (TLS S6;E6). He was seen in four episodes of “Here’s Lucy.” Benny and Ball appeared on many TV variety and award shows together. He died in 1974, a few weeks after taping “An All-Star Party for Lucille Ball.”
Tumblr media
Lucille Ball (Hostess) was concurrently starring in her own radio comedy “My Favorite Husband” having starred in films from 1933.  In the fall of 1951, Ball and her husband Desi Arnaz launched their iconic television series, “I Love Lucy.”  After her divorce from Arnaz in 1960, Ball starred in two subsequent television series’ - “The Lucy Show” and “Here’s Lucy.” After a series of TV specials, she did one more series in 1986, which was not successful. She died in 1989.
Ted de Corsia (Harvey Benson, Reporter from The Daily Telegram) was an actor in touring companies and on radio before making a memorable film debut as the killer in The Lady from Shanghai (1947). De Corsia's New York street demeanor and gravelly voice assured him steady work playing street thugs, gang leaders or organized-crime bosses. On radio he starred in the CBS series "Pursuit" (1949-50). Two years before he was heard on an episode of “My Favorite Husband” with Lucille Ball.
Barbara Eiler (Princess Imogene) started acting as a teenager and appeared regularly on the radio programs “The Life of Riley,” “A Day in the Life of Dennis Day,” “The Fabulous Dr. Tweedy” and “Glamor Manor." She did a 1948 episode of “My Favorite Husband” with Lucille Ball.
Eleanor Audley (Queen Midas) played Lucille Ball’s mother-in-law on “My Favorite Husband.” She would later play Eleanor Spalding, owner of the Westport home the Ricardos buy in “Lucy Wants To Move to the Country” (ILL S6;E15) in 1957, as well as one of the Garden Club judges in “Lucy Raises Tulips” (ILL S6;E26).
Alan Reed (Matthew the Butler / Tony the Cook) is probably best remembered as the voice of Fred Flintstone. He started his acting career in 1937. He acted opposite Lucille Ball in a 1963 episode of “The Lucy Show” (ILL S1;E25). In 1967, he made an appearance on the Desi Arnaz series “The Mothers-in-Law”. He died in 1977 at the age of 69.
Reed uses an English accent as Matthew and an Italian accent as Tony.
Verna Felton (Molly, Kitchen Help) received two Emmy nominations for her role in the Desilu series “December Bride,” playing Hilda Crocker from 1955 to 1959. She did two episodes of “I Love Lucy,” including playing Lucy’s stern maid, Mrs. Porter. Felton voiced many characters for Disney.
Felton uses an Irish accent as Molly.
Howard McNear (Ipsuda, Magician) played Mr. Crawford, Little Ricky’s music teacher on “I Love Lucy.” McNear went on to play Floyd the Barber on “The Andy Griffith Show” from 1961 to 1967, filmed on the Desilu backlot. He was also seen in Lucy and Desi’s 1953 film The Long, Long Trailer.
Frank Nelson (Genie / Mr. Gene Blue) was born on May 6, 1911 (three months before Lucille Ball) in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He started working as a radio announcer at the age of 15. He later appeared on such popular radio shows as “The Great Gildersleeve,” “Burns and Allen,” and “Fibber McGee & Molly”. This is one of his 11 performances on “My Favorite Husband.”  On “I Love Lucy” he holds the distinction of being the only actor to play two recurring roles: Freddie Fillmore and Ralph Ramsey, as well as six one-off characters, including the frazzled train conductor in “The Great Train Robbery” (ILL S5;E5), a character he repeated on “The Lucy Show.”  Aside from Lucille Ball, Nelson is perhaps most associated with Jack Benny and was a fifteen-year regular on his radio and television programs.
Howard Culver (Jake Workman, Ice Man) was best known as hotel clerk Howie Uzzell during the entire run of TV's “Gunsmoke.” On radio he starred in the title role of the Western adventure series “Straight Arrow” which aired on Mutual from 1948 to 1951.
Tony La Frano (Announcer) was the regular announcer for “Music Depreciation” (1945) and every episode of “Family Theatre” (1947-1957).
EPISODE
Tumblr media
Hostess Lucille Ball introduces the show, which was broadcast in front of a live audience. Lucille urges listeners to pray together as a family. She then introduces Jack Benny as the King, to great fanfare.
Instead of Benny, the show opens with Imogene on the telephone of a busy office in the Kingdom of Midas. Harvey Benson, an American reporter, arrives to see the Queen, who thinks he is there for money, but he wants the story of something that happened there recently. She tells the story in flashback...
A month ago, King Midas is at breakfast with his family. Imogene complains about having cornmeal mush for breakfast again, but Midas reasons that they have a 752 pounds of corn (thanks to the foresight of his father), so they must eat it!
Matthew, King Midas’ butler, suddenly quits after 32 years! He is tired of carrying the King’s gold. He is also tired of the mush. Because of an ancient decree, the help must eat whatever the King eats.
Imogene and the Queen insist King Midas counts his money too much - 80 million dollars a day!  Once the King is gone, the Queen sends Imogene on a mission to see a magician named Ipusda to buy a genie.
At Ipsuda’s shop, Imogene has her pick of genies - even ones vacuum packed in cans (only for tourists)!  She buys the blue bottle special for 5 gold pieces - plus a small deposit on the bottle!   Imogene brings the magic blue bottle back to the Queen, who says the magic words: “Genie out and at attention!  Do the chores which I will mention!”  The giggling Genie immediately appears, talking in rhyme, very amused at his own cleverness.  They promise the Genie his freedom if he does as bid.  The Queen whispers the orders to the Genie, without letting Imogene know.
Next morning, Imogene and the Queen introduce Midas to his new servant - the Genie!  At their bidding, he conjures up bacon and eggs. Midas hates the Genie’s rhyming. He asks Midas what one wish he wants more than anything else in the world.  Naturally, he wants more gold.
The Genie grants him with the skill to turn everything he touches to gold!  The Genie pops back into the bottle. Imogene notices his utensils have turned to gold - then his eggs - then his coffee.
Tumblr media
Before he can stop himself, he turns his own daughter to gold! Midas demands the Queen bring the Genie back, but she refuses and storms off.
Midas hears the kitchen servants Tony and Molly arguing in the next room. Tony goes to shake his hand, but he turns to gold! He touches Molly and she, too, turns to gold.
The ice man arrives and sees the two golden servants. Signing for the ice, the King tries to give him the golden pencil as a tip! Midas explains his problem - everything he touches turns to gold. Jake is about to phone his brother-in-law, Ipsuda, but when he learns that it was the work of a genie, he hangs up. All they can do is wait for the Queen to return to get the Genie out of the bottle!
Time passes and Jake reveals that the King is not as highly regarded in the Kingdom as he thinks.  The King admits to being money mad. Midas decides to start giving his money away - starting now!
The Queen arrives and she Midas admits that he never wants to see gold again as long as he lives. After accidentally turning Jake to gold during a hug, the Queen summons the Genie to change the King back - in return for his freedom and a good job. The Genie removes the curse.
Flash forward to the Queen’s interview with newspaper reporter Harvey Benson. Mr. Gene Blue, the president of the relief organization, enters. He makes a joke about his name sounding like “Benson Burners.” He laughs hysterically as the music swells.
Lucille Ball closes the show by asking if the audience knows how Hedda Hopper makes a hat, comparing it to how scientists make a concoction out of ordinary things to create something incredible: jewels out of sawdust, perfume out of coal tar, medicine out of weeds or mold. She says the power of prayer, just like the ordinary things that create something magical, are there all the time, but must be used to get benefits: the jewel of a happy home life, the perfume of uplifted hearts, medicine for a sick world.
Tumblr media
LUCILLE BALL: “The family that prays together, stays together.”
Announcer Tony Lo Frano reads the credits and says that next week’s program Walter Brennan and Bette Lynn in “A Star for Helen” with the honorable Frank Walker as host.

Fandom features: Author Wendy Qualls
To kick off a series of fandom-focused posts, we’re chatting with author Wendy Qualls (aka wendymarlowe on AO3) about fanfic, Johnlock, getting published, the intersection of fanfiction and original fiction, and a little dash of DragonCon! We so enjoyed learning a bit about Wendy’s fandom experience, and are so glad to share her insight with all of you! Don’t miss the amazing rec list she wrote for us after the jump (it’s so good). Thank you so much for talking with us, Wendy!
Thanks so much for chatting with us! How can our readers find you?
I write fic as wendymarlowe (Marlowe being my middle name), but I write my original male/male romance under my real name, Wendy Qualls. (www.wendyqualls.com)
So what inspired you to start writing fic?
I write in the Sherlock fandom with brief forays into Harry Potter, but my first ever fandom was Dragon Age. I played Dragon Age: Origins and went through the love story with one of the characters and immediately thought "I want to experience exactly that again, but different" and I remembered something called fanfic my sister used to read so I looked some up. The one I found was awful, but then I found my way onto fanfiction.net and eventually onto AO3. The fics got better :-)
Now that you’re writing mostly in the Sherlock fandom, what about Johnlock is the most appealing to you?
Honestly? I love what fandom has done to the characters. The Sherlock and John on the show would both be horrible people to be in a relationship with, but the general fandom version sort of rounds the edges off a bit. Sherlock is abrasive but not cruel, John is competently BAMF without being violent and angry. The show has throwaway lines like how John “lost an entire Wednesday once” and I know Moftiss put it in there because they thought it was funny but SERIOUSLY? Drugging your flatmate is not okay! I’d much rather read (and write) about characters who are capable of healthy relationships :-)
What is your favorite thing you have written so far?
My most popular fic, and the one that was the most amazing to write, was Dear John (https://archiveofourown.org/works/2647979). Summary: "With Sherlock dead, John eventually (under duress) makes a profile on an online dating site. And falls into a long-distance relationship with an enigmatic partner who reminds him of Sherlock in all the right ways. (Hint: it turns out to be Sherlock.)"
It was inspired by a friend trying a dating website and me realizing that sense of waiting for replies and not knowing when they're coming could be replicated by AO3's subscribe feature - I posted the fic in "real time." (As in, back and forth according to when the characters would have been writing each other). It had a pretty modest following at the beginning, but by the time John and Sherlock shared their first sexting right before Christmas it kind of blew up on Tumblr and the comments section started to be longer than the chapters :-P
It was amazing to see a mini-fandom develop right there and see everyone debating what they thought John and Sherlock were up to that very minute. By the time the fic got to the big dramatic face-to-face meet, the comments/replies were coming in faster than I could read them! I'm told it's still fun to read now, all at once, but the shared waiting experience was something I wish I could replicate for another fic and I don't know that I ever could.
When I started submitting around to find a literary agent, the popularity of Dear John and my other AO3 fics was a strong point in my favor with the agent I ultimately signed with :-) There's a LOT of overlap between romance authors and fanfic authors, actually, even if not all of them are public about it.
Speaking of your work as a published author, do you have any words of wisdom for the fic authors out there who are hoping to get published one day?
Everyone—every published author ever—has a few manuscripts “under the bed” that just didn’t work. Often it’s because their writing needed to get stronger before publishing, sometimes it’s because they hit a crowded market exactly wrong or just never connected with the right editors/agents. Only around 10% of people who attempt to write their first novel make it to the end, and less than half of those get to the point they’re submitting it for professional consideration.
The thing is, though, the only way to get better at writing is to write. I don’t care how many books and blogs you read about the craft (although those help too), you’re not going to get your book out there for money if you’re not willing to write something imperfect first.
Fanfic, I believe, is an amazing way to practice writing for low stakes. You get your pick of pre-developed characters and settings to choose from, there are no deadlines, and 99% of fanfic readers are supportive. AO3 says I’ve had 11,549 comments on my works - I think I’ve had only one or two readers who were critical. The rest are positive and make me excited to write for them. There is no doubt in my mind that fanfic has made me a better writer. Anyone who dreams of being published someday, my advice is this: write a book. Then write another. Write fanfic along the way and pick up people to cheer you on. The difference between published and unpublished is mostly luck, persistence, and confidence.
Do you ever get writer’s block? What do you do to combat it?
I do absolutely get writer's block, in big part because of my depression. (Depression sucks, btw.) Writing fic has made me comfortable having multiple works in progress at once, though, so often if I'm stuck on my "real" book I can write fic instead. I can't turn out fic as fast as I could before I started actually being published and having deadlines, but it's still a totally different feel writing for no stakes versus "how are my agent and editor and readers going to judge this?" Positive comments on AO3 pretty much balance out the negative energy in bad book reviews :-P
While we discussed this interview, you mentioned you’ll be in attendance at DragonCon this weekend. What are you most excited to do at con?
The panels and the people! There are several friends I only see at DragonCon, and it’s always fun to reconnect. The panels, though, are the heart of the convention. Science vs. Movies (10 PM Sunday in the Hilton Crystal ballroom) is always a highlight - it’s a panel of real, actual science experts forced to watch terrible Hollywood scenes and then argue why the scene was actually 100% scientifically plausible :-P Sometimes they break down and cry. It’s awesome.
You’re on some panels, right? When can folks catch those?
Friday at 10 PM: "BritTrack After Dark - British Fanfic/Slashfic Panel!" in Hilton Galleria 5 and Saturday at 10 PM: "We Do the Weird Stuff!: NC17 Fanfic" in Marriott M301
And finally, do you have any fic recs to share with our followers?
(Ed. Note: Y’ALL! Wendy wrote us an amazing rec list which is under the cut - Click for some Sherlock-y goodness!)
Favorite crack-premise-but-serious-fic: The Midas Touch (E) by flawedregina (https://archiveofourown.org/works/2479868) John Watson has a medical condition that means everyone he sleeps with is instantly healed of all illness and injury. This causes complications when Sherlock breaks his arm, and even more complications when Sherlock falls in love with him. Yes, this is a story where John has a literal magic healing cock. It's a lot less cracky than you're probably imagining. I love this for the "literal magical healing cock" premise, but it's also a beautiful look at ethics, personality, and the dynamics of sex. John is caught between feeling like he ethically HAS to use his rare gift because it saves people's lives and feeling the very human need for privacy and having control over his own life. Sherlock is a brat because he's always a brat but he GETS it and supports John and seriously, it's wonderful. 32K.
Favorite crack-premise-but-serious-fic without all the smut: A Magnificent Instrument (T) by mycapeisplaid (https://archiveofourown.org/works/7452193) A series of vignettes set in an AU in which Sherlock plays the tuba instead of the violin. This does have some brilliant takes on the idea (my favorite is Sherlock playing "oompah oompah" elephant steps in time with Mycroft leaving the flat) but it's also got an amazing connection between Sherlock and John. 6K.
Favorite fantasy AU: Here There Be Dragons (E) by Leloi (https://archiveofourown.org/works/786378) When Lord John of the Umberland Watsons volunteered to his lord father to deal with a dragon, this was not what he had in mind. Instead of using his sword and shield to deal a deadly blow he found himself trussed up like a festival goose sans armor and small clothes, naked as his birth day. This is sweet and hot at the same time and thanks to a certain Tolkien movie, we don't have to imagine very hard to envision Sherlock as a dragon :-D 8K.
Favorite short, kinky smut: Performance Art (E) by thisprettywren (https://archiveofourown.org/works/208374) “I have to say, John, I really just. Well. I can’t see the appeal.” That wasn’t precisely true, of course. At the moment, the appeal lay in the way John was blushing and licking his lip, avoiding Sherlock’s gaze, thoroughly discomfited. This one is so sexy and so Sherlock in how he thinks and gah, just read it! 6K. Favorite AU: The Bang and the Clatter (M) by earlgreytea68 (https://archiveofourown.org/works/744242) Sherlock Holmes is a pitcher and John Watson is a catcher. No, no, no, it's a baseball AU.   I learned a ton about baseball from this fic - it's very educational :-P It's also clear that earlgreytea is an AMAZING writer and a true baseball fan. 137K.
Favorite D/s verse: Shames and Praises (E) by s0mmerspr0ssen (https://archiveofourown.org/works/573019) Unable but desperate to find a dom who will put up with him, Sherlock swallows his pride and turns to Mycroft for help. Shortly after, John Watson steps into Sherlock's life.   Kinky as hell with a wonderful caring top!John. D/s done right. 52K.
Favorite Mystrade: The DI and the Spy (T) by chasingriver (https://archiveofourown.org/works/558609) Greg is an early-morning runner. Mycroft is an early riser who happens to live on Greg's running route. Hilarity ensues. Written for MystradeDoodles' prompt: "Greg is a runner. Rom-com." Exactly what it says on the package - a sweet rom-com story about how Mycroft and Lestrade get a crush on each other before even knowing who the other is. 44K.

SCHEDULE 09/29.
Each schedule post provides a snapshot into the way the company is marketing your group as a whole, the expectations they have for your involvement in the industry, and so forth. They’ll range from fun things like CF deals to run of the mill events like fan parties, concerts, or rest time. We’ll be varying things across the board and using this as a way to tease upcoming plot lines for groups. Schedules illuminate the often difficult realities of being an idol, and because of that we award +5 exp / + 5 sp to those who complete a 350+ 4/4 thread or a 500 word solo. Solos must be completed during the three week run of the schedule, but threads may be finished after the end of the prompt provided they were started well in excess of the end point (e.g. finishing up a reply or two after is fine, but posting the starter right before the next prompt goes up is not). These needn’t be taken extremely literally when threading and are open to tangential preparation threads and other flexibility.
OLYMPUS  – Olympus is proving themselves to be the flagship of Midas groups once more as they embark on a new project. Midas has been teasing the concept of group-centric Company produced web-series for awhile now and are now launching their first: Olympus Next Door.  Rumor has it:  Fans have only just learned the show has started filming and they’re already rabid over it.  It promises to be both cringeworthy and immensely successful amongst fans, proving that Midas will do anything to make a buck.
JINX -  The ladies of Jinx will be gracing the cover and a large spread for Ceci this month, including an interview portion dedicated to their transitioning image, rollercoaster career, and explosive debut. It’s a rehashing of the usual fare, but sure to remind everyone how attractive they are ahead of their next comeback.  Rumor has it: Midas is investing a lot into keeping the girls on board as their reimagined concept took off with their latest releases. The upcoming November comeback is likely to reflect further movement in that area hopefully finalizing a return their prior impressive popularity.
FANTASY –  With an upcoming Nightmare comeback of course preparation is serious business. The girls will also be the new faces for Lens Nine, doing a circle lens colored contact modeling shoot and promotional material titled Lens Nine x Fantasy : Fantasia. Each girl will be modeling a particular color with a whimsical name to suit.  Rumor has it: The upcoming Nightmare comeback bodes well for the unit concept and promises it will be sticking around at least for awhile, leaving fans curious about how Daydream will promote now that they’re lacking a member. Rumors are beginning to buzz that an additional member may be added.
PROMO/PROLOGUE & GLIMMER & XLNC & TITANIUM & NITRO  Every year Gangnam hosts a culture festival in one of it’s more residential areas, with a modest number of stages provided for up and coming groups. Given the more modest scope of the affair, the attending groups are generally newer or less established, and have been listed above in order of billing, with the yet-undebuted Produce groups opening and Nitro as the featured act/headliner. Produce groups will be performing their unit stages from the final episode set alongside the Pick Me! song. Glimmer will perform their debut song and a cover of Heaven’s I Swear . XLNC will perform their 2 most recent title tracks. Titanium will perform their debut song and a cover of Olympus’ Growl. Nitro will perform their last three title songs, with a dance break remix transition.  Rumor has it: Of course this is an excellent opportunity for rookies to get their name out there, and Gen-N fans are feeling bittersweet about the whole thing, as this is likely to be the last of these mid-range festivals that Nitro plays at, with the group gradually outgrowing the opportunity. It’s always a hotbed for intermingling rookies backstage, too, so managers ought to be keeping a careful eye out.
IMPERIAL –The boys are preparing for heading out on an Asia tour for the next month or two, bounding off the positive reception for their fan meeting. They’ll be working on choreography and staging prep as well as pitching concepts for special stages to the company.  Rumor has it: They’re solidifying their hold in the overseas (notably in the SEA market) to prepare for an upcoming comeback in the second half of the year. This concert capitalizes on their existing momentum and will have them in and out of the country - and as a result in plenty of airport fashion and concert gif media play articles.
WINK  – The girls will be performing the ceremonial first pitch and doing a brief performance before a number of baseball games as the season kicks off, once for the LG Twins and once for the Doosan Bears. The appearance of the girls in cute, baseball inspired attire is sure to draw attention and positive reception.  Rumor has it:  Behind the scenes, the girls are being put through their paces to prepare for an upcoming image shift, with coaching for interviews and increased dance practices required of them for the time being. Rumors of a more sultry vibe for the comeback are all but confirmed if one glances at the concept directors hired on recently at the company.  HEAVEN – With an uncharacteristic push forward for the girls of late, they’ll be taking it a little bit easier this week, with a simple fan meeting mini-concert (expected to run an hour and a half) featuring a hi-touch event for those who qualify, maximum 100 participants.  Rumor has it: This is an attempt by 99 Entertainment to demonstrate the grounded and kind nature of the girls, reaching out to fans in an intimate venue and on a personal level, likely to continue in juxtaposition of the shaky reputations of some of their other group efforts.
POIZN – Mexicana Chicken has taken on the boys as their new brand endorsers. They’ll be filming a commercial and doing a photoshoot to provide material for their various promotional items, such as boxes, flyers, posters, menu pictures, and so on.  Rumor has it: While not the most glamorous of things, landing a chicken endorsement is a major step, and one that further cements the idea that POIZN is hanging on fairly well despite past scandals, which is a good indicator for their future.
HONEY –  With the girls in a bit of downtime between comebacks, MSG has decided to capitalize on the time in their schedule to launch Honey TV, a one-a-week Vlive series to connect the girl’s with their audience. Material will cover photoshoots, snippets of dorm life, comeback and album prep, and so on. The first episode set will follow the girls on a fun trip to Everland together, as they go on a safari ride, buy matching headbands, ride rides, and more.  Rumor has it: The MSG board saw the success of KJH in reaching out to fans via Vlive and has decided to follow suit, jumping onto the trend, while also allowing a bit of an easier time for themselves and the idols by filming schedules they’re already embarking on for the company: photoshoots, filming, etc, rather than following the KJH practice of separating out, allowing MSG to pump out a stream of shorter episodes consistently without having to find time to film a full “variety show” to air for 45 minutes weekly.
CHERRY BOMB! – Gourmet Road is hosting the girls for an upcoming episode. They’ll be prowling around a night market and having a blast trying food, interacting with passerby, and talking together. They’ll be showing off their close relationship and their mukbang talents.  Rumor has it: Increased attentions payed to their newer groups indicates that MSG is ramping up efforts to get them established as the company moves forward, putting a lot of pressure on upcoming comebacks.
ATLAS –  The boys of Atlas have been cast in the show Birth of A Family, a variety that involves a group of idols (in this case) raising two puppies in order to bring further attention to the serious situation of animal abandonment in the country of South Korea. They’ll be taking on the dogs for a period of roughly a month and a half, and filming will happen semi-regularly.  Rumor has it: This is the boy’s first variety show aired on television, with KJH preferring in the past to keep their variety work in house, on V-live and self produced. It’s a big step in potential visibility and risk for the boys, since editing will be out of the company’s control.
JAWBREAKER – The girls are deep into the preparatory period for their upcoming comeback.  KJH has the girls tight under lock and key right now to be sure nothing is given away, which means promotions outside the company have been limited for the moment, and the girls have gone quiet on social media. KJH has big plans for the upcoming song, hoping to cement the girl’s image as Jawbreaker with this sophomore effort.  Rumor has it: Planning for the KJH family concert is well underway at this point, with Jawbreaker’s former discography now regained.  The company is gauging reactions to individual members with this comeback to begin pushing the girls further.
GALAXY – The boys are heading out on to Happy Together 3, taking part in the classic talk variety that canvasses various fictional settings, participating in various corners, such as being asked to take part in a don’t laugh challenge or to bring a cherished object to explain. Hopefully this will bring some further attention and affection to the boyish, charming group.  Rumor has it:  Increased attentions payed to their newer groups indicates that MSG is ramping up efforts to get them established as the company moves forward, putting a lot of pressure on upcoming comebacks.

My Review
5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Oh how I loved these flawed characters and their intense, deep connection. A multi-layered story with intrigue, lies, danger, secrets, and more secrets. This will take you on a thrilling emotional roller coaster ride, full of surprises, twists, and love scenes that will set you on fire. I was hooked from the first chapter till the end, by this author’s stellar writing.
Elsa “Ellie” Holmes is a investigative reporter with The Spall Monthly. She has returned home to Laguna Cortez a place that has been nothing but death and loss, sharp edges and pain in her life. A place she swore she would never return to. Now ten years later the ghosts of her past draws her back.
Ellie is here for her job, to do a profile on the Devlin Saint Foundation one of the worlds foremost Philanthropic organizations. And to interview Devlin Saint the brilliant and generous philanthropist, who is known to be handsome, arrogant, powerful, and a loner. But Ellie is really here to find out who killed her Uncle Peter, and she wont stop till she gets all the answers she needs... even though she might not like them. Will the rush and the thrill she craves lead her to the surrender she can’t live without?
Swoon! Devlin Saint is a billionaire Philanthropist, with a new identity, secrets and a buried past. He possesses a dangerous edge, filled with power and strength combined. But what happens when his past meets his present? Will Prince Charming be able to let go of his first love despite the crackling energy between them? Or will the secrets between them destroy everything they once had? Hang on to your seats because this series is just getting started! I need the next book now!!!
Won this early copy through a Goodreads giveaway. Thank you!

Gold Shows Midas Touch at WSOP
Just name him Goldfinger, the man with the Midas touch  188xoso Just approximately the entirety Jamie Gold touched the beyond week became to, properly, gold -- $12 million really worth.
Tumblr media
The 37-year-vintage Hollywood talent agent ran roughshod over a discipline of eight,773 players, which includes a number of poker's brightest stars, in winning the 37th World Series of Poker's $10,000 buy-in Texas No-Limit Hold'em occasion at Harrah's Rio Hotel and Casino.
Gold, who received the day's first pot in addition to its last, claimed his title within the wee hours of Friday morning after busting out seven of his 8 warring parties on the Final Table and 16 of the ultimate 27 survivors.
En course to the championship, he methodically constructed the largest chip stack in WSOP records, at times greater than doubling the stack of his closest opponent.
By the time he and runnerup Paul Wasicka of Westminster, Colo., who accrued $6.1 million, entered their abbreviated heads-up consultation, Gold had eighty five percentage of the chips unfold out in front of him.
"Phenomenal," "exceptional" and "stupendous" were only some of the adjectives observers showered on Gold.
"Unbelievable," become Gold's preference of phrases.
The first aspect an exhuberant Gold did after hugging friends, circle of relatives and lovers was name his father, who suffers from Lou Gerhig's Disease and couldn't be present.
That caused apparent emotional strain as Gold reduced his head into his arms, his temper all at once turning into reflective.
"He'd gladly deliver lower back the $12 million if it would therapy his father," confided considered one of Gold's buddies
"What I need to do in lifestyles is make brilliant amusement," stated Gold, whose client list reads like a Who's Who in Hollywood.
"Otherwise, all I want to do is play poker.
"I'm supposed to be in rate of a prime production right now, but I got two weeks off because they (his friends) knew how a great deal this intended to me and that they believed in me."
It took extra than 12 hours for the primary 5 finalists to bust out, but less than ninety mins for removal of the opposite three, which include two-time WSOP gold bracelet winner Allen Cunningham of Las Vegas, the participant many felt might face Gold in heads-up play.
Cunningham, to his utter dismay, completed fourth, earning $3.628 million.
A large crowd of fellow execs had became out to lend their guide, inclusive of Daniel Negreanu, Mike "The Mouth" Matusow, Robert Williamson III, Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi and Jennifer Harman.
"I need Allen to win due to the fact a number of people don't recognise what a amazing participant he is," Harman stated.
Three-time WSOP champ Johnny Chan, alternatively, served as Gold's primary advisor, huddling with him frequently to offer guidelines.
The handiest expert on the Final Table, Cunningham changed into so distraught at losing what may be his handiest actual shot on the championship, he declined to be interviewed via ESPN, which turned into taping the event, and stiffed a massive assemblage of reporters from in the course of the world who had collected within the media center.
In removing Cunningham, 0.33-vicinity finisher Michael Binger of Atherton, Calif., raised to $1,a hundred,000 from the cutoff.
Gold known as from the button and Cunningham moved all-in for $6.5 million from the large blind.
Binger folded and Gold made the call.
Cunningham confirmed the ten of golf equipment and 10 of hearts, even as Gold turned over the jack and king of diamonds.
The board got here ace of spades, king of spades, eight of hearts, 7 of golf equipment and 3 of spades.
Binger, winner of $four.1 million, accompanied Cunningham out the door forty five minutes later.
Gold limped in from the button and Wasicka from the small blind.
Binger raised to $1.Five million from the huge blind.
Gold and Wasicka each known as and the flop came 10 of golf equipment, 6 of spades and and five of spades.
Wasicka checked, Binger guess $three.Five million and Gold moved all-in.
Wasicka folded and Binger known as, showing the ten and ace of hearts.
Gold turned over the 4 of spades and 3 of golf equipment for an open-ended directly draw.
The turn become the 7 of clubs and Gold made his instantly.
The river become the queen of spades and it was found out that had Wasicka no longer folded, he could've gained the hand with a flush.
The consensus opinion turned into the Coloradan surely changed into eyeing a runnerup end at that point and wanted to get Binger out of the manner., some thing which Wasicka denied for the duration of his press convention.
The 2006 WSOP have become records approximately 40 mins later.
Gold raised to $1.7 million and Wasicka referred to as.
The flop got here queen of clubs, eight of hearts and 5 of hearts.
Wasicka wager $1.5 million and Gold went all-in.
Wasicka referred to as and grew to become over a pair of 10s, whilst Gold showed the queen of spades and nine of clubs for a pair of queens.
Fourth Street became the ace of diamonds and the river changed into the four of golf equipment as Gold's ladies held up.
Despite his document-shattering performace, there has been vast murmuring that Gold, whose preceding income totaled simply $92,000, had failed to win the honour of most experts.
"In poker, you have to earn respect," media relations director Nolan Dalla said.
"Money isn't respect.
"There are many flashes inside the pan who come and go.
"I'd never heard of Mr. Gold earlier than.
"He was an unknown within the poker international.
"It's form of like the Kentucky Derby.
"You have a new champion each year.
"But what number of Triple Crown winners have we had?
"They're the extraordinary ones.
"What Jamie Gold has carried out is without a doubt wonderful and the winner merits appreciate.
"He can be one of the fine, but in poker you have to pay your dues and that means prevailing a couple of event."
Gold's Final Table opponents were not into dissing the champ.
"I've in no way seen some thing like it," said Rhett Butler of Rockville, Md., who fell victim to the excessive price of blinds and antes.
"He forces people to make performs."
"He's a superb participant who plays the large stack well," Binger introduced.
"He's like a vacuum cleanser and he can capture the bluffs."
Daniel Nassif became the first to bust out at the Final Table.

----------------------------
The exam specification is below (try to include as many of these key terms).
Exam specification:
Structures: form, eg realist narrative, anti-realist narrative, animation, documentary, talking heads, stand alone, series; style, eg humorous, surreal, dramatic, parodic; codes and conventions (camera angle, shot, iconography, editing, lighting, sound, music); computer graphics; special effects (SFX)
Techniques: hidden and overt messages; emotional responses or association, eg solution to a problem, fear, concern, compassion, self-perception, social position; celebrity endorsement
Characteristics of products or services: benefits offered; advantages over other similar products; unique selling proposition (USP); lifestyle appeal; brand identity
Regulation: Advertising Standards Authority (ASA); Ofcom
Audience information: audience measurement panels; ratings; face-to-face interviews; focus groups; questionnaires; programme profiles; Broadcasters’ Audience Research Board (BARB); television research agencies
Sources of information: rates cards; advertisers’ information packs; research agency websites
Audience classification: Standard Occupational Classification; psychographics; geodemographics; by age; by gender
Distinction criteria: D1: learners will discuss the structures and persuasive techniques of a varied selection of advertisements in such a way that they develop their ideas critically (that is, compare, assess and discriminate). Points made will be justified with supporting arguments and learners will draw out of an example precisely what it is about it that exemplifies the point it illustrates. Exemplification will be drawn from precise details of the advertisements referred to and these examples will be details from the advertisements studied, not merely generalised reference to whole advertisements. When discussing the categorisation of audiences and the resources available to develop audience profiles, fuller and more extensive explanation and argument to support points made, will discriminate between this grade and the merit.
Tumblr media
Check your work:
Do you have the following?...
- an introduction (what are you investigating?)
- a main section for your investigation into structures and techniques - you must compare, contrast  and analyse adverts and link the slides together. You cannot have a list of structures and techniques without making comparison and critical analyses. You must not use the class examples, this is not showing that you understand the terms if you regurgitate my examples!
- Your practice advert: Youtube link to your advert and the original advert. What were the characteristics of the network that you chose: benefits offered; advantages over other similar products; unique selling proposition (USP); lifestyle appeal; brand identity
- a section on media regulators (using examples and explain how this will have to be taken into consideration when you create your own advert)
- a section on the categorisation of audiences with examples of the resources available to develop audience profiles and how this helps to understand the audience.
- a conclusion (what did you find out? how does knowing about the structures and techniques, characteristics of phone networks, media regulators and categorisation of audiences help you to create your own ideas for your own advert?)
- Bibliography (plagiarism will not be tolerated)
You may complete your coursework on Googleslides OR Googledocs.

FRAMED STOCK CERTIFICATE
High Times Executive Chairman on Regulation A+ Offering - Midas Letter RAW - 2019/04/26 に公開 6:53
youtube
Transcript:
James West: I’m joined now by Adam Levin. He’s the Executive Chairman of High Times Magazine, the best-known brand in cannabis in the world. Adam, welcome.
Adam Levin: Thank you so much for having me.
James West: You bet. I have been a reader of High Times on and off over the entire 44-year history. I’m 55, I started reading it when I was actually nine years old.
Adam Levin: Amazing. I love it.
James West: I learned how to grow cannabis from Ed Rosenthal, who was once one of the most prolific writers of High Times.
Adam Levin: Not only one of the most; I mean, he’s still prolific as it gets. He’s probably one of the biggest names.
James West: Yeah, he is. Actually, I went and met him at his house and we shot an interview there that’s going –
Adam Levin: Did he share some of his stuff with you?
James West: He didn’t, because I was with all this film crew and everything. It wasn’t really copacetic, yeah. Okay, so you just led a group that has taken over High Times from previous management.
Adam Levin: I did that two years ago today. Since then, we’ve made seven acquisitions in the space. We’ve bought Culture, we’ve bought Dope Magazine and media properties, in addition, Green Rush Daily. We just announced a definitive agreement to buy Spannabis, the largest cannabis trade conference in Europe.
James West: Really?
Adam Levin: And announced recently that we signed definitives to buy The Big Show. Beyond that, we’ve, it’s been a busy two years, but we’ve done, I don’t know how familiar you are with a Reg-A IPO, it’s like a mini-IPO.
James West: Reg-A Plus?
Adam Levin: Reg-A Plus.
James West: Oh, I know Reg-A plus very well. An offshoot from the Jobs Act that gave companies the ability to raise up to $50 million without filing a prospectus.
Adam Levin: So, do you know how large the — until us, do you know how many people — the largest Reg-A to date as far as the number of subscribers was?
James West: I have no idea.
Adam Levin: 5,500 with Elio Motors, which was a huge success at the time.
James West: Yeah, actually I had them on the show, like, two years ago — almost two years ago. A year ago.
Adam Levin: We’re about 20-plus thousand today, shareholders.
James West: Really? Wow.
Adam Levin: So we’ll list in, you know, the near future.
James West: Wow, fantastic.
Adam Levin: And, you know, we’re well on our raise to have a large number of retail shareholders, as you know how important it is in cannabis to have that retail shareholder support.
James West: Yeah, you bet.
Adam Levin: And, you know, TGOD was bragging 7,500 retail shareholders when they went public, and we’re well over 20,000.
James West: Wow, that’s fantastic.
Adam Levin: So it’s been an exciting time, and you know, I really think it shows the gravitas of the brand.
James West: Yeah, you bet. Okay, so now, just because we’re investor-focused, an investor wants to know what is the economics? How does the revenue model work for the company in a publishing space in cannabis?
Adam Levin: So we have a few different revenue models today. Licensing is the natural fit; you know, we’re the most well-known brand in cannabis, so you know, I can imagine today we haven’t touched the plant today; we’ve decided not to go there as a company. Looking at a US listing. But if we were to trade in Canada, we’d be a dispensary today.
But you look at smoke shops, you see High Times products all through smoke shops distributed worldwide; merchandise, obviously. Beyond that, we’re a concert and event promoter, so we have the Cannabis Cup stretching back 30 years to its roots in Amsterdam, and today we’ll do, you know, more than 20 of those throughout the world. Anywhere Amsterdam to Puerto Rico, to Alaska last year.
James West: Sure. Who is the winningest provider of genetics in the Cannabis Cup history?
Adam Levin: You’re going to get me in trouble, here. [laughter] No, there’s been a lot. We’ve had a lot of successful strains –
James West: Oh, okay. I was trying to get you to say DNA Genetics, just because I know those guys a little bit.
Adam Levin: And I’m partial to them, too. Dan and Aaron are great guys, and you know, big supporters. I mean, I think one of my first connections with Dan at the Cup last year, he goes, listen, High Times is what brought us on the map. And they’re doing some exciting things right now as well.
James West: Yes, they are. So events, revenues –
Adam Levin: Events, licensing, events…obviously our publishing business, and we have the largest audience of cannaconsumers on web and social today.
James West: Sure.
Adam Levin: So we’ll do our series of rollups that we’ve bought — you know, Culture and Dope Media. You know, we’ve got more than 22 million eyeballs on our, from a cannaconsumer, which, you look three, four years ago, no one cared about that stoner. Today –
James West: [laughter] I’ve actually been arrested for possession of a High Times magazine in the State of Georgia when I was, I think, 21 years old.
Adam Levin: Just of the magazine?
James West: Well, I had the magazine, and I had a book on mushrooms, and those both caught me the book. Anyways, but that was, you used to have to hide High Times magazine even from my parents. Yeah, exactly.
Adam Levin: Of course.
James West: So yeah, no, I mean, it’s so amazing. I mean, we live in a really fantastic time for a cannabis consumer, to have High Times Magazine now becoming a publicly traded company…I mean, it just warms the cockles of my heart.
Adam Levin: But we’re, you know, much more than a media company today. We’re much more than just a magazine that we’re known for, and we’re buying B2B trade shows, and really expanding worldwide. We recently just brought in a new CEO, Craig Fox, who, you know, is known for overseeing Dick Clark productions and running the Elvis Presley Library, and you know, we’ve brought the guns.
James West: Yeah. So is this kind of like analogous to, like, say, Vice Media, to, like, Fox Business?
Adam Levin: I think it’s much different than that, because those are all media companies. We’re a brand.
James West: Right, okay.
Adam Levin: Okay? Yes, we’ll have a media division, yes, we have. But you look at, like, Fish & Stream the magazine — they have 400 retail stores. So my background is buying media companies. I’ve bought some, you know, Girls Gone Wild, Penthouse Media Group, I probably could go on…Bebo from AOL…and it’s repositioning assets and finding the right purpose and the best overall value for them.
James West: Yeah.
Adam Levin: I mean to me, you look at High Times and the brand, and we haven’t even touched the plant, as I said, but you look at branded products, you look at what we’re already doing, but you look, you know, stores I think is a natural transition. And you know, there’s a lot of exciting things.
James West: Yeah. Okay, so in a Reg-A Plus offering, that gives the average Joe the ability to participate in a financing just, like, alongside institutions.
Adam Levin: Absolutely. It gives the allocation to everyone.
James West: So how long is this financing open for?
Adam Levin: So it’s been open for a little over six months, today; we’ve kept it open, you know, waiting for the NASDAQ markets. I think today with the Green Lane IPO, being the first, you know, cannabis ancillary IPO to be in the US-traded markets, we’re looking at that, and I think, you know, that’s really a big win for the industry and a big win for us. And you know, we’ve had a lot of interest, a lot of people looking and recognizing the value of the brand, far beyond just a media and events company.
James West: No kidding. All right, Adam, well, we’re going to leave it there for now. How soon till the company becomes public? (ハイタイムスは米国ナスダック市場に何時、上場を許されるのでしょうか?)
Adam Levin: We’ll see. I think, you know, we’re looking this quarter. (そうですね、今年の第2四半期終わりごろ、6月末頃だと思います。)
James West: Cool. All right, well, we’re going to have you back as often as we can because I love High Times. Thanks so much for joining me.
Adam Levin: Thanks so much for having me. Appreciate it.

SCHEDULE 07.21
Each schedule post is just a brief snapshot at a few things going on around the Idolize world that will give you something to think about threading or incorporating. We’ll be posting them semi frequently depending on how the site progresses, and occasionally will use it to tease upcoming events! Schedules can be treated as time sensitive PROMPTS that last until the next schedule is posted. You may earn + 5 exp / + 5 skill (free choice) from those that pertain to your group/company, following the same criteria as the static prompts. Opportunities for each group will vary depending on how many active members we have in each, so that we’re not throwing lots of points into empty air. We’ll try and keep it balanced across the board.
OLYMPUS -- It’s comeback week! Which means: comeback stages for the latest and greatest Olympus summer single ‘Kokobop’, and, well, a litany of your other usual comeback schedules ranging from radio show interviews, other small interviews like Ask in a Box, a comeback press conference, and many many more. All in all, the boys will constantly be on the go, so we hope you don’t need much sleep to function!
FANTASY -- Surprise! The Daydream unit was slated to comeback next, but with the vacuum of a viral summer defining song this year, MSG has decided to throw you into the fray with a new track. You’ll be on a limited promotional cycle but will begin preparations and filming this week. It’ll include some backstage footage for a brief V-Live series, so get ready to simper for the cameras.
TITANIUM -- Your debut is right around the corner and tensions are high - now is the time to push yourself to the point of exhaustion, to get yourself ready for the moment you’ve been waiting for, and to avoid the Olympus sunbaes who have to read all these articles about how you’re going to be “the next Olympus.” Awkward! Regardless, it’s time to film your extensive teaser run as well as smile for the cameras, because Midas is capitalizing on this opportunity to introduce you to the public via a quick V-Live series (10 episodes, 15-20 minutes each).
IMPERIAL -- Alas, it’s time to say goodbye once more. Goodbye stages are this week, leaving you worried about heading back into the 99 Entertainment dungeon afterwards. Fortunately they followed this up with the good news that t you’ll be headed to Guam soon to do a vlive series there. Start packing, it’ll begin filming in the next schedule. For once, you don’t have to worry about what to do post-promotions! Refreshing!
HEAVEN -- There are rumors they might actually be changing up your image soon! With the subunit putting out one of the hottest releases of the summer, they’ve given Heaven itself a break from the casual late summer pop effort and are purportedly moving you in a more sultry direction for your next release. In the meantime, the girls will be shooting a pictorial endorsement for Mizuno!
POIZN -- With this being POIZN’s 7 year anniversary release upcoming, tensions are high around 99 Entertainment. The group as a whole has been on thin ice since debut, basically, so now is a good time to be as careful as possible, lest 99 Entertainment decide you’re not worth the trouble. Contract negotiations are a tricky beast, so please make sure you’re bringing your A-game on stage and in preparation.
MSG GROUPS -- An executive you’ve never met, who doesn’t particularly care about you, has been promoted! Which means one thing: mandatory company party. Woohoo! It’s a moderately fancy event, but don’t go showing up in a tux or a ballgown. Be prepared to suck up to plenty of staff members and get your bowing muscles ready, but at least there’s an open bar - as long as your manager doesn’t notice you partaking liberally.
ATLAS -- For once in your lives as idols, KJH has given you a bit of a break. It’s time to get in touch with old friends, catch up on sleep, work on some music, or get some vocal training - anything that’s too impossible to fit in during your normal relentless schedules. Maybe bringing in the Jawbreaker girls was a good company move after all.
JAWBREAKER -- In the hopes of capitalizing on the girl’s re-debut attention, KJH picked up an endorsement deal with Trevi Sparkling Water, just in time to shoot a refreshing commercial for summer. It’s nothing ground breaking but the opportunity is great for you girls, marking  Jawbreaker’s (and Her.oine’s....) first group CF deal. Congratulations!

TGIWednesday and a Download for Having the Golden Midas Touch
TGIWednesday News
What an awesome time of year as we see the leaves turning green and things can begin a new!  Mercury Retrograde ends March 28th which is the actual passing date of my sweet young brother, Kevin who was 28 when he over-endulged in drugs and alcohol.  We will forever remember him as young and celebratory and loving all things Irish.  Our loved ones are forever close to us even if we can’t see them, they show up when we least expect it.  He was a trickster and would hide your car keys and then help you look for them, of course he would laugh when he found the keys for you.  Kevin we love you and we’re toasting to all those that have passed and know they will be blessing us and keeping us and watching over and enjoying us, and probably dare I say far more than when they were here.
Also, you're invited to JOIN ME TODAY March 20th at 3:20pm ET If you head over to my business page on Facebook, we'll have about 40 minutes together for free live healings. https://business.facebook.com/JimmyMackHealing/
During this FACEBOOK LIVE event you can chat in and get a chance for me to work on you live or you can write in on the post comments, DM me, reply here, whatever………give me an idea of what issues you want to work on .... issues with money? relationships? a health challenge?
It's easy to remember... 3/20 at 3:20pm ;) We're gonna wing it and see what happens.

I am ready, willing and able to enjoy more of life and to already resonate and share the frequency of golden rays of light. I know, when, where, how and why to be thankful and grateful for this golden energy that is flowing, in, around and through me now and I speak this in all languages, and throughout all time lines and so it is.

"Thanks for all the great prayers each morning ! Something must be working.  My son has now passed interviews in both Las Vegas and Oklahoma City.  So he will wait for the next step.  They are the same job at different locations.   He is leaning toward Oklahoma, would be lots of opportunity and he liked the manager." - G.C. / Florida
