It's honestly so fucking funny how dead Trinity Soul is. Almost every single piece of Persona media released since has been dedicated to making that poor twink noncannonical.

hey i'm back to be annoying about sensei fic i don't remember if you've talked about that before (i think you did), and also i'm afraid that it may be considered as a spoiler (?), but! how much of amasawa and itokura's story will you include here? (they are very important to me, your honour) (the potential of parallels to kwgm is here as well and everything)
never annoying! I’m enjoying writing my paragraphs of rambling, so thank you more under the cut again lol. spoilers for lost judgment and also my own fic i suppose lmao
this is kind of difficult to answer because I don’t want to overpromise anything… I am unfortunately a “fuck it we ball” writer which means I am not really used to planning anything at all really (which is why I write mostly oneshots. I usually write everything blind) and that means that while I have ideas about what I want to do, I can’t really say anything definitive until I feel out my plans more concretely…
for what it’s worth though, I’d be shocked if amasawa and itokura didn’t appear the most out of everyone (aside from yagami and kitakata), since the mrc is effectively the centrepiece of both plots: being the main reason kitakata and yagami see each other, and of course I’m going to try and make an altered version of the school story plot work here. I expect there’ll be more of them than kaito and sawa, certainly…
one of the planned major beats in the kuwagami plot is having yagami actually let kitakata in on the professor investigation and not just blow him off. he might think that kitakata will just get in the way, but he has to accept that kitakata’s interest in the investigation and care for his students is legitimate and valid! keeping him in the dark and ignoring how he feels is wrong! anyway. my point is, that to resolve this plot beat, it’s unavoidable to talk about itokura and the professor, so no matter how I end up getting there, itokura (and by extension amasawa) are going to be crucial. you’re right about the parallels angle too… gonna gnaw on that… gotta figure that out… kuwagami but if they were both girls and in highschool and more emotionally intelligent… the idea of kitakata and yagami being a mess and super lame while the kids in the club are much more put together? it’s just too funny to pass up on… I can already imagine itokura complaining to amasawa about how she wishes they would just grow up already.
amasawa and itokura are really great and I also like them a lot! there’s a lot of interesting stuff with them to grab onto, both with canon – yagami’s relationship to them both, and with new stuff – inventing new stuff for them with kitakata! itokura and kitakata especially feel like a surprisingly natural fit – kitakata who wants to make sure no student around him feels the way that kusumoto mitsuru did, and itokura who was estranged and pushed out of school by her peers… it’s a relationship that would be engaging and interesting to develop on both sides… I really can’t pass up on that… so thematically rich… I imagine their relationship rn as being kind of awkward and a little tense. they probably get along best when they’re talking (cough arguing cough) about mystery novels.
one of the things on my to-do list for sensei fic right now (aside from taking thorough notes on school stories and general editing) is definitely trying to feel out this relationship, in particular before yagami enters the picture (@/four-white-trees poked me about this ages ago. thank you!!) presumably kitakata doesn’t let all of that happen to itokura without trying to do something about it, right? and yet, he still fails. yagami’s intervention is the one that brings itokura back to school. hence why I imagine things between them being a little awkward… that shared history…
though I imagine that it piques kitakata’s interest that yagami succeeded where he’d previously failed. So yknow. This Too Is Kuwagami. A surefire way to make kitakata fall in love with you: 1. be hot 2. legitimately care about and take action for the wellbeing of students
anyway! while nothing is set in stone, that’s what I have in mind about amasawa and itokura right now… though most of it ended up being about itokura… there’s still a lot I gotta figure out, but I’m definitely looking forward to poking at them some more! Itokura’s attitude is going to be a lot of fun to write, and amasawa is always a delight, and I love having her be the voice of reason between kitakata and yagami when they’re being ridiculous lol. thank you for the ask o7

More Notes:
The 'Wild Cards' in this just have really good partnership/Resonance abilities with everyone in their groups, so they can work with any of the Weapons in their groups (and even outside of them a lot of times... looking at Ren and Loki for an example. xP) uncannily naturally.
The Navis in this are all Witches, but good-natured ones, and use their magic to support their respective groups/help make the world a better place. For example, Futaba would probably be able to 'hack' souls somehow with her magic, and also her reclusiveness in this would be at least in part due to being terrified of people finding out her true nature as a Witch. I'm not sure how welcomed/persecuted/the general climate of Witches are/is in this AU yet though.
The Arisato twins and Ryoji are all children of Death in this, with Ryoji being the older sibling and the twins being twins. Death is still Death like he is in SE-OG in this AU, more or less.
Ryoji and Aigis tend to float between Minato and Minako as their secondary partners, though Aigis tends to stick more to Minato as his primary partner and much less often swaps to Minako, while Ryoji shifts between his two siblings more frequently. Yukari swaps about as much as the rest of SEES's Weapons do among their Wild Cards, which is more or less situationally or for fun. Despite this, Aigis and Ryoji still don't get along particularly well with one another, only putting up with each other for their Meisters' sakes.
Strega did exist in this, though I'm not sure yet what their aim was, or the fate of its members. At the very least, they were some kind of rogue antagonist group, and Takaya used to be the Meister of both Jin and Chidori. Chidori ends up defecting to DWMA though, or whatever organization Junpei is a part of.
Aigis, maybe Ryoji?, Mitsuru, Labrys, and Minazuki are all Weapons that can fight without Meisters. Loki and/or Robin Hood might also be among them? I'm undecided.
Originally, I was considering having the cast have their Personas as their Weapon-partners, and just have them have personalities based off of their Shadow-selves' but more aligned with their accepted-selves, but I decided against it in the end. Akechi gets to be the exception, because he's Akechi.
Speaking of Akechi-- Robin and Loki are very powerful Weapons in this AU. Loki's 'chaos magic' would become an incredibly chaotic/maddening soul-wavelength that most others wouldn't be able to handle contact with on its own, as well as perhaps some Madness magic or abilities of some kind? Robin's soul meanwhile would be much calmer and help to counteract/cover-up Loki's from those who can sense souls, as well as perhaps provide some tactical abilities; I'm undecided on that for now. I'm not sure who's side Akechi would be on in this AU yet, like if he was being manipulated by a Shido-like person or not, and for what reason if so.
As for Robin and Loki's personalities and appearances in this... Well, the latter would be somewhat similar to their Persona forms probably, including some of the less-human traits given OG-SE characters (*stares intensely at Excalibur*), and the former would also be somewhat based off of those, as well as sort of how Akechi acts in relation to both of his 'masks'? So Robin tends to be calmer and more polite, though he still possesses a small amount of vengeful desire or bloodlust, whilst Loki is a lot more chaotic, hot-blooded, and very vengeful/aggressive. Both share a tendency towards showiness however, and sometimes get in small competitions with one another to up the other to impress their Meister or be the better Weapon among themselves (since they both might think already that they're superior to other Weapons in general? Unsure).
Also speaking of manipulated and abused children, Sho and Minazuki, alongside Ikutsuki, more or less replace Crona, Ragnarok, and Medusa in this. Not fully 1-for-1 however. Ikutsuki is very much a human, albeit a Mad or power-hungry one (still kinda looking to create a Kishin or otherwise bring about some kind of catastrophic destruction), and Minazuki is a separate Weapon, as opposed to how Ragnarok is Crona's Black Blood. Minazuki and Sho might be twins however, just with one a human/Meister and the other a Weapon. They look almost identical physically in this AU, even down to haircuts, but Minazuki lacks the iconic X-ish shaped face scarring that Sho possesses (and overall the two have a different patterning of scars across their bodies), and Sho's irises appear to be more gray while Minazuki's appear to be more blue. Weapon-form-wise, Minazuki looks like Sho's OG katanas, just in different colors and as a singular blade rather than a pair.
Ikutsuki is still forcing Sho and Minazuki to become stronger in similar methods to Medusa in some ways however, such as going out and obtaining/consuming great amounts of human (and maybe even Witch) souls.
Sho's a little less messed-up than Crona is, due to Minazuki being supportive of and dedicated to him as opposed to bullying him into submission like Ragnarok does to Crona. That being said however, I don't yet know why Minazuki hasn't yet defected from Ikutsuki. P: Other than that, Minazuki is kind of like Sho's impulse control and logical reasoning at times, due to being able to control when he transforms into his Weapon form and thus deny Sho access to his weaponry in times where he's being reckless or unreasonable. Soul-wavelengths-wise, too, Minazuki's soul just in general helps to keep Sho's soul/wavelength more stable probably?
Also in terms of replacing SE cast and plots; The IT replaces Maka et al for the sake of the main story most likely, with SEES being their upperclassmen or alumni and the PT being their underclassmen, if they even attend DWMA at this point anyways.
Lotsa dead people in OG are alive in this AU; Minato, Minako, and Ryoji, Shinjiro, Kasumi, etc.
Speaking of Kasumi; she fights kind of like Sumire does in Royal, that being making use of their gymnastics and priorly-athletic builds. Both sisters are gymnists in this still.
Alternatively, Sho and Minazuki's situations almost ended up reversed, leaving a highly impulsive/aggressive Weapon-Sho and a Meister-Minazuki who would have the kinda backwards idealology of trying to protect his Weapon partner in times where it would be best left to the Weapon to defend their Meister, but also really good at getting Sho to focus when wielding him as a weapon/in resonance (and can in general reign him in to some degree while others can't), making them an exceedingly deadly duo. I kind of prefer Minazuki as the Weapon however, as fun as the reverse could be, as it gives Ikutsuki a bit more leverage over Sho's situation I think? Also in that vein, it would make a lot of sense, given OG, for Minazuki to be more like a Black Blood entity like Ragnarok; however, I like Minazuki being able to have his own body in this, so that can be left for another AU perhaps. xP
Ikutsuki would infiltrate/be trusted by the DWMA in this AU at first, like Medusa was, but eventually get outed for his true intentions most likely. He might be a teacher or other kind of faculty rather than a nurse however?
Maruki meanwhile gets to play the role of school nurse in this. He's not a few screws loose like his Royal counterpart is though, he's just a humble nurse. However, he does still have his interest in researching dangerous subjects, though I haven't yet decided if that would be magic, Witches, Madness, Kishins, or what. It could potentially put him in knowing-contact with the Navis, if they aren't already known to be Witches by the DWMA anyways.
I'm not yet sure on what to do with Adachi or Nyx yet. Nyx might be some kind of Madness-related catastrophe, power, or individual perhaps however?
Rei and Zen are probably just civilians in this. Zen just happens to be really devoted to protecting/looking after(?) Rei still. xD
I'm undecided on if Marie should be amnesiac about her Witchhood or if she should be more like Izanami-no-Mikoto from OG in this.
Yusuke is still obsessed with artistry and beauty in this, so you can imagine what he's like as a Meister. He is still capable as a fighter and dependable when needed... more or less, but is also still easily distracted by, and places higher priority on, such things.
Ryuji kinda gets the short end of the stick because I didn't particularly know who to pair him with or what really to do with him at the moment. Mishima's a big tentative as his partner as a result of that, though I think it could prove to be an interesting relationship potentially.
I'm hoping to add more SL/Confidant and secondary/tertiary/background cast peeps eventually into various roles, but I'd need to do more refreshing/research on them first. I also haven't decided on if I should include Metis in this or not.
If the SE info is inaccurate, it's because I haven't seen the anime or read-up on it in like years. I might do clarifying/fact-checking research some day, but for now, nah. xP

Personas’ Gifts, P3 Edition
So I’m finally coming back and expanding the ideas in this post and its notes so here we go.
[ Edit notice: feel free to send in asks if you want to discuss this! This is a sideblog so I would have to reply to...well, replies with my main, but I can reblog reblogs here, so you do you! ]
We’ll just be doing P3-P5, because P1 and P2 have different circumstances for the cast (they’re......in between being wild cards and not and are therefore Complicated) and we’ll also skip over the protagonists because wild cards and also I want to be a mild deviation from canon not diving into my fanon.
Oh, and I won’t do Shinji either. He has some special circumstances with his persona and uh...what canonically happens to him. Or Aigis, because of The Answer circumstances.
And so on we go.
Junpei Iori is fireproof. And while not sun proof he doesn’t get sunburns anymore, so eventually he stops using sunscreen. He just tans, or it does nothing at all. He loves hot weather because it’s sunny and nice, and it doesn’t bother him. He hardly breaks a sweat unless he’s working hard. Wind hurts like shit though.
You know how on windy days, especially when you’re really exposed, it stings? Especially your eyes? Amplify that by so much and make it feel like glass shards and sand. Junpei hates windy days so much, and storms, after everything. He even gets scars from how often the wind tears at him, so much that his spring of life ability can’t keep up.
Also he’s kind of unkillable. Perhaps even immortal. Junpei doesn’t try to think too much about that fact (and thanks @herstorycallyinaccurate for the immortal junpei tags on the last post)
And now we move on to Yukari. Still have in mind what I said about Junpei and wind? Yukari is the opposite. She doesn’t notice it unless she visually sees the wind moving something. The wind touches her, sure, waves her clothes and hair, but she doesn’t feel it.
The first few times it’s noticed by people who don’t know personas and they think she’s joking, but eventually Yukari learns how to listen and watch for the wind so that she knows if it’s actually windy. Ups her perception so that’s useful, at least. Makes archery a little harder because she can’t gauge how the wind will affect the arrow the same as when she learned the sport, but she adapts.
Also, it’s incredibly important for her to have gained those perception skills because storms are now unpleasant. She’s a lightning rod. A few trees have died in lightning’s attempt to get her. She also been zapped by several outlets and she’s not allowed to try and fix electronics after that one toaster incident. At least Aigis is sort of human and not exactly totally robot now in how her body works, but there’s still been a few zappy incidents.
Akihiko is not immune to accidental (or purposeful) zaps. And electrocution. Need to handle wires in water? He’ll be just fine, but don’t follow his example. Lightning doesn’t scare him one bit, and he even takes to training with live wires at one point to see how far he can go. It doesn’t hurt him, but Mitsuru is pissed when she finds out so he stops doing it. And then he goes and fights bears, but you can only win so much against Akihiko’s determination to better himself, even when it’s to his detriment.
He doesn’t like blizzards, or snow, or the cold. Ice cream gives him terrible brain freezes and aches in his mouth and stomach. He bundles up a lot during cold seasons, and uses tongs and gloves to handle items he stored in the freezer. He does try not to use freezer, but sometimes you gotta freeze stuff. It’s a conundrum for him.
If Mitsuru’s visiting Akihiko, she’ll handle anything cold because it doesn’t bother her. During Shadow Operatives Missions, she’s ended up lost in blizzards and when everyone was prepared to help her through hypothermia she was just fine. It’s unnerving that she treats snow like a hot spring.
It’s a trade-off though, because heat sucks so much for her now. Warm water feels scalding, she’s easily burned by the sun (so. much. sunscreen.) and she won’t even approach a hot springs anymore. She also won’t mess with fire. Or be that close. She can be like five feet away from a dying fire and she’s like I Can Feel The Heat From That and then she realizes it’s just embers and not like, a bonfire and oops.
Koromaru, like Junpei, is fireproof. And the heat doesn’t bother him, and his night vision goes up exponentially. Sunlight does bother him, but it mostly affects his vision, since heat doesn’t hurt him. He’s pretty good at using his other senses to make up for his poor day vision, so no one really notices enough to be like, suspicious.
Ken thrives in the daylight. He never needs sun glasses, and he’s unfazed by lights being pointed in his face. He doesn’t ever get headaches looking at screens too long, nor does it damage his eye sight.
Once it’s night, however, he struggles. He becomes clumsier, and if there is no major source of light he can’t see at all - even if other people’s vision have adjusted. He has no night vision, at all. In fact, he needs things to be pretty bright for him to see it best. He describes it as it dulls when it gets to his eyes.
Useful for all their skills being blocks or weaknesses rather than absorbs or the like, though that would would be been fun to explore what it would have meant to accidentally steal the heat from the stove.

📺 What do you really think about S.E.E.S.?
send 📺 + a question, and my muse’s shadow will answer it!
Tumblr media
“FINALLY! Let’s start from the top and work our way to the bottom: firstly, Akihiko Sanada--he really needs to loosen up; he might be a pretty boy but he doesn’t have the common sense that the others have. He can’t even tell when a girl is hitting on him--how embarrassing, but I see him as a total bottom. No matter if he’s with a girl or a guy.
“Mitsuru Kirijo: she is elegant, beautiful, and intelligent--a walking, talking sex symbol. I am sure she knows she’s everything I said, and yet she can’t find someone to marry to carry on the name of Kirijo--she’s too patient and cautious and should be more promiscuous in her endeavors. I am sure a willing lady or gentleman wouldn’t mind at all.
“Shinjiro Aragaki: ...for someone who is friends with the first two I mentioned, how has he not learn about those two and common sense? Granted, his food is delicious--but what is he really hiding behind that peacoat of his? And, why not tell everyone, EVEN YOUR FRIENDS that you are going to die because of the suppressants? He needs to stop shouldering the burden because why have friends if he wouldn’t even do that!? Also, he should take control and be more aggressive--and I am meaning in general--my other self truly enjoys that.
“Aigis: she may look pretty and sound pretty, but being an android means she’ll never die--there is always a backup drive to restore her once more. Being immortal sounds lovely, doesn’t it? I have no other opinion for her.
“Yukari Takeba: someone who is cute in the face, has an aggressive personality towards some of the guys, and is unable to aim in battle--also, the pink is loud, why hasn’t she found different shades for THAT COLOR--I do not know why the leader always takes her into battle. Yeah, she’s a fantastic healer, but does she not get the idea to practice more? It’s a bit annoying.
“Junpei Iori: ohhhhhhh, this boy right here thinks he can compliment my other self, calling her cute a couple times during the summer trip, AND THEN turn around and find another navigator INSTEAD--” She takes a deep breath to calm herself down. “--it aches my heart that he said those cutesy things towards her, and then finds another girl. Oh, GOOD for him, but there is always consequences for any actions, good or bad. My other self won’t ever say these things to his face, so I’ll be happy to do that for her over and over again.
“Minato Arisato: for someone who can control multiple Personas, your mind is a hot and ugly mess--it’s so disorganized and filled with confusion. I don’t get why you won’t open up to the rest of the people you are leading. Besides, looking cool on the outside and not being expressive is very unattractive. No wonder you were always an enigma.
“Minako Arisato: I’d say the same about your brother to you, but you actually are reflecting what you are feeling--that’s the good thing about females. BUT, the bad thing is that you cannot decide between two guys AND MAN, just pick one! The way you tease and play with these boys annoys me and makes me mad--you have so much confidence and can’t even express those feelings to those who actually need it.
“Ken Amada: I cannot sympathize with losing a parent--but, the way he did his revenge wasn’t necessary. For someone who wanted to act like an adult, doing that to Shinjiro wasn’t worth it--but, I have no other issues with this boy.
“Lastly, Koromaru: ...he’s a good boy. That is all. He at least listens to commands unlike some people.”

akishinji for the ship thing
Always AkiShinji for all the ship things.
who hogs the duvet: Okay, so it’s a constant fight in their sleep because Shinji is always cold because of taking those suppressants, and Akihiko can’t even subconsciously lose a fight. They may or may not have woken up to a ripped duvet.
who texts/rings to check how their day is going: Shinji texts to make sure Akihiko isn’t being an idiot while he’s in the country, but when Akihiko’s abroad fighting bears and training, Akihiko keeps up on calls because he misses his boyfriend.
who’s the most creative when it comes to gifts: Shinji, most definitely. Akihiko tries, bless his heart, but it’s always something that’s more utilitarian. Shinji appreciates it still, but Akihiko eventually learns that he can offer kinky sex things as bday gifts that are bit more creative than sock and turtleneck sweater.
who gets up first in the morning: This one’s difficult, because Akihiko is most definitely an early riser to go on a run, but I feel like Shinji is an early riser too. Though, I think Akihiko wins out by way of just by way of if Shinji doesn’t have to be awake for anything, I think he’d sleep in. Akihiko doesn’t know what sleeping in is unless Shinji’s holding him down.
who suggests new things in bed: They’re both morons about this kinda thing until they hit their stride. After they figure out something sorta kinky by accident like Shinji liking his hair pulled, it all goes downhill from there. And let’s say when Akihiko comes home from his world tour of training, he’s got months worth of ideas to share with Shinji.
who cries at movies: BOTH. But specific ones only, and they will hide said tears and pretend it didn’t happen. Give Shinji animal movies like Homeward Bound or Look Who’s Talking (did I just date myself, I think I just dated myself) while Akihiko will cry for inspirational sports movies like Remember the Titans (most definitely dating myself, damn) but also anything with super sad family feels, but they avoid those movies in general.
who gives unprompted massages: ...welp, I read that as messages. Let’s try this again. Depends. Shinji will give Akihiko massages if he looks like he needs one after a good training session, BUT he will not do it if Akihiko looks like he’s pushed himself too hard. Akihiko, however, always loves rubbing Shinji’s shoulders when Shinji looks like he’s had a rough day.
who fusses over the other when they’re sick: Shinji is the mother hen of all mother hens, but he’s also the worst patient, so when Akihiko tries to fuss in return, he gets shoved out of the room.
who gets jealous easiest: Akihiko, most definitely shows it the most. He wears everything on his sleeve. Shinji gets jealous less easily, but boy, does he get petty when he is jealous.
who has the most embarrassing taste in music: Akihiko just listens to whatever his friends tell him, and his S.E.E.S. underclassman are a bunch of trolls, soooo. They introduce him to shitty pop and so much more, but everything that has a fast beat, Akihiko loves because it becomes good work out music.
who collects something unusual: Probably Shinji. I can’t think of what, but I bet he’d have a secret collection. Akihiko doesn’t seem to be a person for material things, for the most part. He might have an accidental weird collection of things from training around the world.
who takes the longest to get ready: They’re both pretty quick, but Shinji manages to be dressed well first. Akihiko might be done first, but without Mitsuru (and her staff on speed dial, because let’s be honest, she doesn’t dress herself either), he’s a hot mess that thinks a ragged cape is a good idea. Shinji usually marches him back to the bedroom to get him dressed properly.
who is the most tidy and organised: Shinji is, but Akihiko isn’t exactly a slob, so much as anyone is a slob in comparison to Shinji’s organizational skills.
who gets most excited about the holidays: Akihiko stopped getting excited about holidays after Miki died, but after every thing with Nyx is over, and Shinji’s out of his coma, Akihiko starts to get hype over spending holiday with Shinji and his friends. Shinji thinks it’s cute, even though he will never admitted it.
who is the big spoon/little spoon: Shinji’s usually the big spoon, because Akihiko gets clingy and likes it when he can snuggle into Shinji’s chest. If Shinji’s clearly having a bad day, Akihiko will definitely be the big spoon to let his boyfriend hide from the world for a bit.
who gets most competitive when playing games and/or sports: They’re both competitive as hell, but Akihiko takes it to a new level on most occasions. When Shinji’s no longer feeling it because Akihiko’s taken it way too seriously, he tends to distract Akihiko by touching or kissing him. In a way, Shinji tends to win in those situations, so it soothes his competitive streak in the end.
who starts the most arguments: They are equally dumbasses about starting arguments and making them go on for much longer than they should. Every once in a while, if the arguments go on too long for petty reasons, Mitsuru or Kotone will find a way to smack their heads together. It tends to be a deterrent for continuing stupid arguments, since no one wants a Mitsuru execution or Kotone’s pranks.
who suggests that they buy a pet: Akihiko, because he knows Shinji won’t bring it up, even though he really wants a fluffy companion, since Koromaru tends to stay with Ken.
what couple traditions they have: Sometimes, instead of having a fancy date for an anniversary, they just go to Hagakure and get ramen. Also, October 4th is definitely a chill day. They eventually spend it with Ken, but for a few years, it was just not leaving the house and doing nothing but cuddling and not talking about it.
what tv shows they watch together: Their tastes in TV don’t tend to overlap, unless it’s some sort of nostalgia bomb from when they were younger. Reruns of the original Featherman, reboots of cartoons that they loved that didn’t age well but the reboot does it better, and stupid shows about paranormal things. Sometimes, it ends up being related to shadows and personas.
what other couple they hang out with: YukaMitsu, because Yukari’s big on getting Mitsuru out of the house and out of the office, so double dates with her besties is a great excuse. AiKo tend to be fun to have wander adventures with, since Aigis is still new to a lot, even years later, and Kotone is an enabler. The boys can never say they’re bored hanging out with them.
how they spend time together as a couple: Usually, sharing a good meal or chilling at home. Occasionally, when needs must (and they really must, because Shinji doesn’t even want to be a backup Shadow Operative), they’ll be together on an op for the Shadow Operatives, like trying to find out what the hell is going in Tokyo and what are the Phantom Thieves really doing.
who made the first move: Akihiko. Always Akihiko, because the likelihood of Shinji believing he doesn’t deserve good things is very high.
who brings flowers home: Neither are really flower people, but sometimes, Akihiko will get some to be romantic. Shinji doesn’t really mind all that much, though he won’t say it.
who is the best cook: Obviously Shinji. Akihiko could probably burn water, but I don’t think Shinji never tried to teach him. Whether Akihiko had the attention span for it, is another story...

Hey PQ was pretty good!
so I’m having trouble getting into PQ2 because of several factors, so I thought I’d write a half-think piece, half-essay on why I think the first PQ gets more flak than it deserves. So here’s that.
------
I genuinely don't understand why, when talking about Persona Q, people are always saying things along the lines of, "The gameplay was good, but the characters were trite and the story wasn't that great." Like, as a fan of the Persona series, I genuinely don't understand that assessment.
Not saying PQ is flawless, oh no. There are PLENTY of things in PQ that I have an axe to grind with (the small door scene with the P4 gang, for one), but the overall story? The characters? They're both fine. Good, even, dare I say. And here's my argument as to why:
The returning Persona series characters (from 3 and 4) in PQ do a good job of representing their games and their own personalities, even if a little more light-hearted than their source material,
AND
The story is genuinely in-line with the rest of the Persona/SMT series, even if it ultimately doesn't matter due to time shenanigans (and I'm okay with that).
These are my two points. Just those two. Because these are the two most contested parts of PQ, as far as I can hear, since we all agree that the gameplay is the real breadwinner here hahaha
Anyway.
First, let's talk about the returning characters, since they seem to be the ones who matter most. The P4 cast are generally less griped about (save Chie and Teddie) and I believe this is largely due to the brighter, more hopeful tone of P4 as a whole. (Aaand, in my opinion, they're done a MUCH BIGGER disservice in the Arena games, but no one ever talks about that so let's not bother with those right now.)
P4 was a game about making friends, the hijinx that come from that, and finding the truth about a string of murders and confronting the worst parts of yourself in a harsher world in the process! And it executes this with the appropriate amount of balance between serious moments and comedic relief. The theme colour for the whole game is bright yellow/gold, a happier and more friendly colour which helps remind you that this game is all in good fun.
(Side note here: I honestly think that P5 really failed in this respect, despite my liking its tone slightly more. I just personally like darker-themed games, but P5 was a little too dark and oppressive right out the gate, with hardly a friendly face, which helps make your gradually growing group of friends much more appreciated but also a harder atmosphere for jokes to really land well. Most of the 'funny' sequences felt very undeserved and really dragged because uh guys we literally just fought a rapist, an abusive father figure, and some other fucked-up shit. Can we please acknowledge that a bit more instead of pretending it never happened by laughing at the expense of Ann's autonomy of her body? Especially when she was a target of said rapist??) But that's its own discussion for later.
Really, the fact that most of the P4 gang get out of this with little criticism shows how accepted their caricatures have become. I guess? At least, except for Teddie and Chie.
Teddie being a wannabe Casanova must've been a huge hit with the Japanese audience, because it's just the hill he's going to die on for the writers. There was more to Teddie than his hitting on the girls in P4, believe it or not! (And there's a whole thing about it being brought on by him mimicking the type of behaviour he saw Yukiko's shadow exhibiting, which has a lot of really interesting undertones, but it makes him more swappable with Junpei, so whatever, I guess.) Meanwhile, Chie's not as meat-crazy, either, but I guess it's a better trait for them to roll with than her (cut in the translation) glossed-over sexism.
Both work fine, however, and aren't really too annoying enough to be that egregious. (Though they both go right up to the line sometimes. Teddie more so, but none of the girls playing along really helps show how gross his actions are. Most of the time.)
No, the real complaints I see directed at the characters being 'too cartoonish' are usually reserved for the P3 gang.
P3 is, really, such a bizarre game to go back to now when compared to its two successors. It's dark and hopeless, like P5, but formulaic and mystery, like P4. It's actually a natural progression when looking at its two/three older siblings (both P2s are bleak. As. Hell!), but, at least to me, it's the odd duck of the bunch, being the first to implement this winning formula of being caught in a time limit of a school year and managing spending time exploring this other world. It adds Social Links and social stats with this new time limit and this idea that the Persona and Shadows you fight don't just happen out on the streets in 'normal' circumstances for everyone to see. It pretty much went from an RPG to a management game with RPG elements.
And its emotional, impactful story, like P5, had a lot of tonal whiplash due to the attempts at comedy!
I feel like a lot of people forget this about P3 (and maybe I think more about it because I haven't actually beaten the whole game yet myself), but the story is actually a goddamn mess of tonal confusion. You got kids shooting themselves in the heads and a Social Link dealing with a classmate's crush on his teacher. You got wacky foreign exchange student and kids taking experimental drugs to suppress their Persona and slowly poisoning themselves to death as a side effect. The protagonist is an orphan who lost his parents in a huge, plot-relevant accident... But he's able to date every single girl at the same time and be the most wish fulfillment charming guy if the player so desires.
P3 being messy isn't a bad thing. P4, P5, and even P2 and PQ are all a little messy in their own rights, too. But because P3 was a lot of fans' first in the series, and PQ is just a spin-off, it gets way more flak for this than I feel it deserves.
(I mean, hey. Both P3 and P4 have those classic anime scenes of the boys walking in on the girls while at a hot springs. All PQ's got is an awkward group date scene and the implication that Yosuke and Kanji kissed each other while getting knocked out.) (They all. Have. Problems.)
And I know a lot of this comes down to personal preference. I'm not saying you're wrong for liking P3 or P4 more than PQ. I'm just saying I feel like PQ is often wrongly accused of being worse and less well-written when, really, they're all pretty much on par with each other. (And someone on the team really doesn't understand how to handle large casts of characters sharing the same space...)
But, personally, from everything I've seen from P3, I don't like the way most of the characters get presented to me in the source material. Junpei is way more insufferable in P3 than in PQ and Yukari is way more uninteresting in P3 than in PQ. Really, PQ helped me appreciate these characters more than P3 itself did. And, yes, they're more funny when they're trying to be, too. Because PQ is set up better for comedy than the 'remember you are mortal' tone of P3.
(Which makes dramatic moments hit all the harder when they happen) HEY check that segue! It's time to talk about the story and the two original characters of the game!
So, second point: people say the story isn't very good. To which I wanna ask... "Did you stop playing before defeating the fourth Boss?" Because it really sounds like, to me, everyone who says that didn't actually finish the game and reach all that juicy character development that happens for both sides around the fourth dungeon, where all the issues they've been building up (like Yukari's issue with Mitsuru for the P3 side and Kanji and Ken's awkwardness in the P4 side) start getting resolved in a satisfying way. And it comes with a reveal for the two characters we've been getting to know, Zen and Rei, as well.
(And, from here on in, there be spoilers. You've been warned.)
The two new characters to this game are Zen and Rei, who were in this place before the P3 or P4 gangs were called to the scene. Zen is quiet and a bit unsettlingly dense, but devoted to Rei, who is bubbly and full of life, but terrified of the dungeons you have to traverse. The two have been in this place for (what's implied to be) a very long time and enlist the help of the P3 and P4 teams in order to find a way out through defeating the bosses of each Labyrinth/dungeon. Simple enough, as it also helps the P3 and P4 team's goal of getting out. With each new dungeon, it feels more and more like something about Zen and Rei aren't quite right, but the length of the dungeon and all the team chats help you put it out of your mind each time. Rei can even get kinda annoying with her loudness and big appetite if you don't find her cute (which: how dare you. But yeah, I get it).
And then, at the end of a fiery festival fourth dungeon, you find yourself in a dark tomb at the bottom level. The boss awaiting you is Rei's shadow (a nice callback to the way P4 works) whom she still doesn't accept after you defeat it.
All the locks are gone and the P3 and P4 teams can return to their worlds if they wanted. Except Rei gets kidnapped after Zen reveals that Rei has been dead all along and it was him who trapped them here. It was he who created this place and even he who called both teams here.
And this was a plot twist that I friggin' loved.
It definitely had more impact on me because Zen and Rei easily became my favourites out of the whole cast, to the point of having them on my team for the whole game, but to find out such a fucked up twist is wild! (Seriously! Go watch the cutscene and tell me it isn't super fucked up!) You can say the P3 and P4 twists were shocking (or P5s I guess), but for my money, this is the best reversal of expectations I'd ever seen in a Persona game. In any game, really!
Zen was, in effect, the villain the whole time. His true identity as Chronos, God of time, makes sense with displacing the teams from their own times and the time here being erased once you reach the end. His own power that he sealed away growing impatient and taking matters into its own hands by drawing the teams to this haven displaced from time also makes perfect sense! And the entire climb through the last dungeon is his redemption arc and it makes for a super emotionally investing final dungeon all the way. (Which is great, because I hate every single one of the enemies that appear in this god-forsaken place.) (Even P4 and P5 can't really boast that, I felt very little investment through Izanami's dungeon and Baldabaoth's distortion.)
Of course, if you found Zen and Rei to be annoying and pointless, I can see how this would fall flat for you. The fact that they hinged such an emotional climax on these new characters, characters that don't even matter outside of this game!, was such a risky move. Especially when you consider this is just a fanservice game made basically under the promise of seeing the P3 team interact with the P4 team. But, for me, it really paid off.
And whatever complaints you had with the P3 or P4 characters, I feel like the resolutions to those character moments I mentioned earlier get explored even further during the climb through the final dungeon. From the P3 gang coming together to finally communicate with one another to the P4 gang reconfirming their bonds with one another, it's a really investing and emotional journey. I do wish the writing had been this tight and impactful through more of the game, but I believe it's worth it in the end.
Perhaps this moment comes too late in the game, though. I can definitely see others giving up before reaching this point due to the repetitive nature of the dungeons and the tidbits of character development that are meant to build up to this moment that can be too sparsely placed. (But, really, it's the same from P3 to P5, Social Links don't really add much variety when they can be just as repetitive and boring, just saying. Especially when you get caught in waiting to rank up hell, ugh.) For me, however, this really sealed the deal on this game being an incredible experience that I adored from start to finish. 7/10. Final score.
....
....
(7 outta 10?? Not perfect??) Well, it's not perfect. Japan's blatant homophobia and sexism really ruins a lot of scenes for me. I'm super salty especially about how the fake marriage scenes are handled so differently from the girl choices to the boy choices. (But you just argued in its favour for 2000 words!) Listen. ALL the Persona games wouldn't receive perfect scores for me for this aspect alone. There are a lot of other factors as well, but they vary from title to title and PQ in particular is guilty of spending too much time focusing on Teddie and Junpei being girl-crazy. And Marie is in this game more than she really should be. UGH.
But I digress.
In conclusion, this game's story and characters are better than most give it credit for. Hopefully, my argument helped you see why I believe this and why I think claiming that both aspects are just 'bad' is lazy.

Like per usual, fandom ships above read more. OC ships below.
AkiHam:
big spoon/little spoon: Akihiko is big spoon. He’s like a lot bigger than Minako if I’m remembering correctly.
favorite non-sexual activity: You can’t tell me they don’t have eating contests regularly. Mr. Protein beef bowl and Ms. Don’t Touch My Food or I kill you both have to fight over this.
who uses all the hot water: Minako, I cannot explain this thought but Akihiko seems like the guy who would shower in an absolutely cold shower. Minako meanwhile will turn the water up to eleven.
most trivial thing they fight over: “Akihiko you need a diet other than protein” “No.” Okay so here’s the thing, Minako and Akihiko are the type of couple to fight over the stupidest things but never anything serious. So it’s probably something insanely dumb like who destroyed the most Shadows in Tartarus.
who does most of the cleaning: Minako. Akihiko’s room is sorta a mess if I’m remembering the room explorations correctly.
what has a season pass on their dvr/who controls the netflix queue: Minako watches a ton of TV and thus pays for all of it. Akihiko just watches whatever she does.
who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working: Akihiko calls Mitsuru, because she’s probably his landlord.
who steals the blankets: MINAKO IS A BLANKET THIEF YOU CAN’T TELL ME OTHERWISE.
who leaves their stuff around: Again Akihiko’s room is kinda a mess, I’d bet he leaves his stuff all over the place.
who remembers to buy the milk: Akihiko? Remembering to buy anything other than protein? Nah.
who remembers anniversaries: Both of them. Akihiko writes it down for months to make sure that he doesn’t forget and Minako just naturally remembers because she remembers all important dates.
Who cooks normally? ...I wouldn’t trust Akihiko to cook. I really wouldn’t.
How often do they fight? Playful bickering? Probably a fair amount of times. Serious arguing? I can really only think of one in my headcanon, because I headcanon that Akihiko was the one who pushed Minako to make the right decision on New Years Eve, but it took a fight to get them there, so it’s very very rare.
What do they do when they’re away from each other? Akihiko does boxing and training, as well as his studies. Minako does her various club and school activities and socializing.
Nicknames for each other? Minako calls him “Aki” after their rank ten, and she’s one of few people to do it. I headcanon that he calls her “Mina” in return.
Who is more likely to pay for dinner? Minako has a ton of money after P3 sooooooo...
Who steals the covers at night? Again, Minako’s a blanket thief, she totally does this.
What would they get each other for gifts? HEY I’M SUPER FUCKING EMOTIONAL OVER THIS MINOR P3 SPOILERS FOR THE SOCIAL THING THAT SOLD ME ON THIS BOY. Okay so on Christmas Eve Akihiko buys Minako a music box which is a) The best item in the game (seriously, unlimited SP heals, it’s awesome) and b) is symbolic of a promise. Every Christmas afterwards he plans on buying her jewelry, as a promise to each other that they’ll both make it out and defeat Nyx and it’s basically his hope for the future and I love this boy so much. As for his gift, Minako makes them all, because Minako is super crafty.
Who kissed who first? I had to think about this for a sec and I’m pretty sure it was Minako who does this? I think???
Who made the first move? ...Minako
Who remembers things? Minako naturally remembers, Akihiko makes notes in an effort to remember.
Who started the relationship? YOU THINK AKIHIKO CAN START ANYTHING ROMANTICALLY??? You have to tell this idiot how he feels to start romancing him.
Who cusses more? Minako has surprisingly bad language, neither of them use a lot but I think Minako might a bit more?
What would they do if the other was hurt? Minako would beat herself up because she failed her team. Akihiko would prepare to kill anything in his path, anything in an attempt to bury his pain and lose himself.
Shuake:
big spoon/little spoon: Akira is a big spoon in any and all relationships and that’s final.
favorite non-sexual activity: I can see the both of them spending hours sitting over some kind of puzzle or strategy game and either working together or going against each other.
who uses all the hot water: Akechi spoils himself in some ways now that he can and the hot water is definitely a thing he can spoil himself with.
most trivial thing they fight over: Knowing these two? Literally everything.
who does most of the cleaning: Both. Akechi can’t handle messes because he needs to have control over every little detail possible. Akira is just a naturally neat person and so he tidies up quickly.
what has a season pass on their dvr/who controls the netflix queue: Akechi does and he uses it for kids animes. This is a boy who was obsessed with hero animes and the like.
who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working: Akira. Akechi probably wouldn’t care and just put up with it. Even if he hates the cold
who steals the blankets: Morgana steals it from both of them, much to Akechi’s annoyance.
who leaves their stuff around: Like with the cleaning question, I can’t really see either of them doing this.
who remembers to buy the milk: Akira, he’s probably in charge of food in general for the two of them, so he takes care of it.
who remembers anniversaries: Both of them remember this at least.
Who cooks normally? Akira’s a good cook, Akechi doesn’t really care half as much about food, you know, despite running a food blog.
How often do they fight? A lot, especially in the beginning. As time goes on though they mellow out considerably.
What do they do when they’re away from each other? Akechi has his work as a detective to fall back on, and the two also have a lot of studying to do.
Nicknames for each other? God I cannot see either of these two using cutesy nicknames ever.
Who is more likely to pay for dinner? Akechi probably pays for most but there are at least a few times that Akira decides to try and pay.
Who steals the covers at night? Akechi, he gets colder easier if you want my opinion so he would need more blankets at night.
What would they get each other for gifts? Akira goes out of his way to find Akechi limited edition Featherman merch. Akechi gets Akira small sentimental items, because that’s the sort of thing Akira appreciates.
Who kissed who first? Akira’s the smooth one, he’s the one who kisses first.
Who made the first move? So Akechi confesses first, he absolutely does not expect Akira to respond but then Akira does and he’s like “??? Somebody actually likes me?????”
Who remembers things? Akira has a much better memory when it comes to smaller things. Akechi has a good memory, but his focus means that he doesn’t always remember when it matters.
Who started the relationship? Akechi
Who cusses more? DEPENDS because when Akechi wears his pleasant boy face? He hardly ever curses, but the moment he drops the facade, he has no filter.
What would they do if the other was hurt? Akechi would kill. Akira would do what he can to protect and hold off.
Chrobin:
big spoon/little spoon: Chrom is big spoon that’s all I’m saying.
favorite non-sexual activity: Chrom just really likes listening to Robin read. They kinda mutter to themself a lot over the text they’re reading and they just have quiet conversations over whatever the story is, probably some bickering over the story as well.
who uses all the hot water: Chrom is spoiled and uses way too much hot water. Everybody in the castle hates him for it, not just Robin.
most trivial thing they fight over: All I can think of is the F!Robin/Chrom supports where the entire thing is just trivial fighting and honestly? That’s probably it.
who does most of the cleaning: Robin. I cannot imagine Chrom ever having a clean home or organized whatsoever.
what has a season pass on their dvr/who controls the netflix queue: I feel like Chrom would be the one with this. He’s a total nerd and he tries to get Robin into the same stuff as him.
who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working: Chrom is the landlord.
who steals the blankets: Robin steals the blankets. When you spend all that time in a cloak you’re bound to prefer things warmer, and thus they try to steal blankets all the time.
who leaves their stuff around: Robin. They clean it up later but they’re an organized mess and while they’re working it means things end up in random places until they’re done doing their tactician stuff.
who remembers to buy the milk: Frederick. Robin and Chrom are banned from anything that involves food or groceries.
who remembers anniversaries: Chrom puts forth like super extra effort on the anniversaries to make sure that Robin always has one to remember.
Who cooks normally? Again, Frederick.
How often do they fight? Almost never. Robin and Chrom trust each other explicitly and know better than to step on each other’s toes. The only time they’ve ever truly fought was when it was revealed Robin was Grima.
What do they do when they’re away from each other? I mean...Chrom has a kingdom to rule, Robin has strategies. They both have friends to hang around and kids to take care of. They just kinda go about their lives.
Nicknames for each other? Just all sorts of general pet names, no real specific nicknames that stick.
Who is more likely to pay for dinner? ...I mean Chrom’s a prince, I think he has money.
Who steals the covers at night? Chrom does. Sorta. It’s more like he serves as Robin’s covers and then uses the covers for himself.
What would they get each other for gifts? Robin’s gift is that they pay for all the damage that Chrom causes around the castle and doesn’t tell other people. That and they get him small things that make them think of him, like it’s more gifts from the heart than anything else. Chrom gets Robin memories. And I mean that literally, he’ll buy them things based on things that they’ve done. So even if they forget, they remember.
Who kissed who first? This is the only thing I’m pretty sure Robin did first, in secret, in the tactician tent after Chrom confessed.
Who made the first move? Chrom. Robin is not about to date during the middle of a war, let alone the person in charge of the army.
Who remembers things? Robin makes sure to never forget anything, since they’re always worried about that.
Who started the relationship? Chrom. Again, Robin wasn’t even willing to move forward with it until after the war. Chrom was.
Who cusses more? Chrom has a sailors mouth and you can’t convince me otherwise.
What would they do if the other was hurt? Based on his reaction after what happened to Emmeryn? Chrom probably goes mad in grief and fear. Robin has a much quieter method, and chooses to make the more strategically sound option while trying to keep Chrom safe. They stay rational.
Ticole:
big spoon/little spoon: Nicole is too small to be the big spoon and honestly? That’s a shame.
favorite non-sexual activity: Is dragon raising a valid answer? I’m pretty sure it’s dragon raising Nicole loves her pet dragon. Also hanging around with their friends.
who uses all the hot water: ...honestly Nicole? She showers in water so hot it probably burns.
most trivial thing they fight over: Do they fight???? Nicole is bad at fighting people she cares about and Tip is timid as hell I don’t even know what or when they’d be fighting at all?
who does most of the cleaning: Tip definitely prefers to do the cleaning. Nicole helps out whenever she can, but Tip does it more.
what has a season pass on their dvr/who controls the netflix queue: Nicole. Mostly for Disney stuff. *shot*
who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working: They own their own house.
who steals the blankets: Nicole wraps Tip in all the blankets and then admires the cute blanket burrito that is the product of all her energy.
who leaves their stuff around: Probably Nicole??? I’m honestly not really sure.
who remembers to buy the milk: Pretty sure this is Tip. He probably has lists and triple checks them.
who remembers anniversaries: I don’t think either of them could forget honestly. Tip is hyperfocused on remembering every single important date and Nicole is just super dedicated where she never would.
Who cooks normally? Tip
How often do they fight? Honestly??? Like never. I don’t think they’ve fought once. I really don’t. I can’t remember rping any fights for them.
What do they do when they’re away from each other? Hahahahahahahahaha. Okay we’re going with normal away from each other and not that alive/death thing. Nicole’s probably hanging out with Ian and Charles or in the arena earning a little bit of extra gold if Tip’s with Ian and Charles and they’re not together. Tip’s probably reading or helping take care of Celestia.
Nicknames for each other? There was a weird phase where Nicole called Tip “Tippy” in SC but uh...neither of them are really nicknamey people tbh.
Who is more likely to pay for dinner? I mean they share funds pretty much always since rp funds are collaborative anyways.
Who steals the covers at night? ...honestly Nicole. She’ll never admit it, but she gets cold super easy.
What would they get each other for gifts? Man Tip bought Nicole like...a house, won her a dragon, I don’t think she’s topping that. But she does at least try. I think honestly though in all seriousness they tend to just get each other little things. There’s not really any big things but just tiny little signs of happiness.
Who kissed who first? Nicole, for sure.
Who made the first move? Nicole asked Tip to raise a dragon with her, so I’d say it was probably her.
Who remembers things? Both do.
Who started the relationship? Tip confessed first, so I guess that’d mean he was the one to start the relationship.
Who cusses more? Nicole. She has...moderately bad language. Tip cursed once and it was so ooc I almost washed his mouth out with soap.
What would they do if the other was hurt? Tip would try to heal her right away, and do what he could to keep her stable while boosting other people so they can get out of the battle. Nicole would...go murderous whoops.
Skyuuya:
big spoon/little spoon: Yuuya’s too tall for Sky to be big spoon so I guess she’s just gotta be the little spoon here.
favorite non-sexual activity: We’ve put these two through...so much...are they even allowed to have fun??? Is that legal??? I think at this point so long as they’re together and alive, it’s a favorite activity. (On that note though, I am a music bitch. I remember you headcanoning Yuuya playing Saxophone and I always like the idea of Sky playing flute. Let them play some duets when they have free time together.)
who uses all the hot water: I can’t see either of them doing this honestly? Forgetting their situation I don’t see either of them as long shower people.
most trivial thing they fight over: Their relationship is built on bickering it probably has something to do with Yuuya being dumb of ass.
who does most of the cleaning: Both, they’re both clean enough people where I can’t see them just kinda leaving things a mess if they have a chance to clean.
what has a season pass on their dvr/who controls the netflix queue: So it’s actually Sera’s but Sky has a profile and so whenever they go on dates she just casually puts it on.
who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working: Yuuya would if they had a landlord. Spoiler alert: They kinda don’t despair world ain’t a place for that.
who steals the blankets: Sky. She’s long since learned that Yuuya would rather her have them than himself and so she ends up just taking them for herself.
who leaves their stuff around: They don’t really have a lot of stuff, but Sky’s a lot more likely to do this than Yuuya is.
who remembers to buy the milk: Good memory means that they both manage to remember.
who remembers anniversaries: Both of them do, but given that Yuuya’s a foppish romantic he has a tendency to remember them earlier and do more of the prep work for celebrating.
Who cooks normally? Sky probably does it more often than not. I’m sure Yuuya does on dates because he wants to treat Sky well but outside of that? Sky.
How often do they fight? I’d like to think after the conversation where Sky learns Yuuya’s a spy in PoD, they very rarely have a true fight. Most of them afterwards would probably come after Sylvia and Leone are born, and the two of them have to come to terms with the fact that if something happens to them then that fucks the kids but also neither really wants to stop trying to save the world, if they ever happened at all.
What do they do when they’re away from each other? Sky does a lot of training, or reaches out to contact Sera and do offworld missions. Yuuya does a lot of his spy stuff, or hangs around Hiyoko and Sakuya. (If Sakuya will let him.)
Nicknames for each other? Yuuya calls Sky “mon amie” which I guess technically he kinda does to a lot of people, but he gradually reserves it only for Sky when she does become his love. Sky meanwhile calls him “birdbrain” which started as a meta joke (because Yuuya’s a Hatoful Boyfriend character get it?) and an insult but gradually just kinda became this endearing name. Like if anybody else called him that it’d probably be mean but there’s no real other way to describe it besides teasing at this point.
Who is more likely to pay for dinner? I’m pretty sure Yuuya would want to treat Sky for dinner as many times as he possibly can, even if she doesn’t let him.
Who steals the covers at night? Sky makes extra efforts to share them, because neither of them are full cover thiefs. But on really cold nights she might steal the extra ones.
What would they get each other for gifts? A Keyblade Okay so first of all I have to just like...make this clear, I think in general getting gifts for each other is very difficult between the two? The nature of the world kinda makes it hard to do traditional gifts, so I think the gifts are less possession in nature and more like...experience gifts. So like for a gift they might take each other to a peaceful night where they can pretend the world isn’t ending.
Who kissed who first? Sky did. Mostly to make him shut up after asking for one. Mostly.
Who made the first move? Technically Yuuya did. I mean he flirted with her in like...the first ten minutes of meeting her.
Who remembers things? Both of them. As spies and heroes, having a good memory to do things is kinda a very important skill to have.
Who started the relationship? Sky confessed, so that’d mean probably her.
Who cusses more? Yuuya. Sky very, very rarely curses, if ever, so he kinda wins by default.
What would they do if the other was hurt? HEY ZOE REMEMBER WHEN SKY GOT KILLED AND YUUYA JUST COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN LIKE FIRST HIS EMOTIONS AND THEN HIMSELF. I do. I still hurt. Holy hell ow. Anyways he would probably do whatever he could to save her to avoid that happening because never ever again. Sky herself is likely trying to suppress her panic response, and just does her best to get him to a healer like...as quickly as possible. They’ve been through this much together and she’s not about to let him die now.
Matt/Luca
big spoon/little spoon: Luca is little spoon for one big important reason, he is absolutely terrified to like close Matt in in any possible way because he wants to avoid causing a panic attack.
favorite non-sexual activity: A part of me wants to joke and say Matt’s a corruptive influence and their favorite activity is stealing and sneaking but in all seriousness it’s hard to say. I’d honestly probably say playing sports together, since while Luca’s a huge dork, he’s also fairly good in shape and decent at several sports, while Matt you’ve mentioned has issues with doing less...active activities, so it allows him to keep moving as well. Matt also probably sometimes just does running and Luca draws him.
who uses all the hot water: Both do so it’s whoever showers first. Matt’s a little shit and probably does it on purpose to annoy people. Luca’s Luca and spends an hour in the shower so that uses a lot of hot water.
most trivial thing they fight over: Lila’s dogs. Matt adores them long after they’re no longer in the apartment, Luca still insists their monsters.
who does most of the cleaning: Luca’s very much a disorganized mess. His entire house will only have an organizational method that makes sense to him. So Matt probably has to be the one to do this.
what has a season pass on their dvr/who controls the netflix queue: Luca’s the only one of these two who cares enough about movies to have this.
who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working: Considering at least the current apartment is in his name, Luca has to do this.
who steals the blankets: Matt probably doesn’t even need them but he is absolutely enough of a bastard to do this. Until Luca gets pouty and cold.
who leaves their stuff around: See the above answer. Luca’s method of finding things is just leaving them lying around until they show up again.
who remembers to buy the milk: Luca has to. He needs milk to feed his cute kitty.
who remembers anniversaries: So while both Matt and Luca remember the big one, I feel like all the other ones? That’s Luca’s specialty. “Happy anniversary of the day we got together the first time, like back when you were in the cult.” “Happy anniversary of the day we broke up.” “Happy anniversary of the day we first met” because Luca is that kind of a dork. He does eventually drop it down to just the day they resumed dating and any other days afterwards...eventually.
Who cooks normally? Isn’t it just canon that all Kubricks are good cooks if their name isn’t Ian? I mean Luca definitely can cook and does, but Matt is better so Luca insists he does it like...9/10 times.
How often do they fight? So Luca is very even temperament over all. Enough prodding will make him upset but Matt tries not to prod him ever to that point, so I really don’t see it happening that often, so maybe a few times?
What do they do when they’re away from each other? Matt’s probably committing crimes, or I guess track or spending time with his family, Luca’s probably hanging out with Lila or drawing or practicing archery.
Nicknames for each other? Luca calls Matt “Matty Pie” once after hearing Dan do it, but never again. Since Luca never really uses nicknames for him, I don’t see Matt really doing them a lot for Luca either. Unless the codenames count. They probably use Fang and Wolf a lot even after the Phantom Thief stuff.
Who is more likely to pay for dinner? I mean technically the answer would be Matt since he’s always giving Luca free coffee drinks and stuff but the actual answer is Luca. He overall has a bit more money to spend, especially once all the cult stuff is done, and doesn’t mind treating Matt to some things.
Who steals the covers at night? This time it’s actually Luca. He gets cold easily and if anybody’s going to do it it’s going to be him.
What would they get each other for gifts? Do the daily coffees and wolf ears they’ve already gotten each other not count???? Or the kindness and forgiveness Luca always gives???  No okay in all seriousness Luca’s probably constantly conspiring with Ebony for stuff like in OSF and they work together on their gifts and theme them. Matt’s always giving Luca free drinks anyways.
Who kissed who first? So technically, Luca went in for the kiss first, but he accidentally triggered Matt. So we gotta give it to Matt, who after he calmed down chose to kiss Luca anyways.
Who made the first move? I think Luca flirted first? Admittedly this could’ve been either of them and I’d absolutely believe it.
Who remembers things? Matt has a good memory for a lot of the stuff in their relationship and about Luca, but Luca takes things above and beyond because he feels like it’s super important to like...remember every detail about Matt that he can. Especially given Matt’s mental health.
Who started the relationship? Matt asked Luca out the first time, but when all is said and done it’s Luca who asks Matt out the second time.
Who cusses more? Matt. It has to be Matt. There’s no way it’s not.
What would they do if the other was hurt? Matt would no remorse just stab whatever the hell hurt Luca and then get the boy out of there. Luca does what he can to ensure Matt is stable, and keeps him away from whatever hurt Matt. So like...if it’s mental trauma, he’ll do his best to reassure. If it’s physical, Luca will keep anything from hitting an unconscious Matt.
NiNick:
big spoon/little spoon: Nina is the little spoon and Nick’s the big spoon I cannot imagine Nina as the little spoon.
favorite non-sexual activity: Amusement park dates. Nina loves them in general and given they got together in a Ferris Wheel, it makes for a nice reminder of happier times.
who uses all the hot water: Honestly nine times out of ten they probably shower together, so they both end up using the the hot water at the same time.
most trivial thing they fight over: Getting out of bed in the morning. Nick’s a morning person and likes to try to do things. Nina absolutely wouldn’t leave the bed until 5:00 PM if she had her way.
who does most of the cleaning: Both of them, sometimes. It’s not that I don’t think one would do it more often than the other, I just know Nina once she’s up and moving has a lot of boundless energy and Nick probably likes keeping things cleaner, so they work on it together.
what has a season pass on their dvr/who controls the netflix queue: Honestly, I can’t see either of them having a Netflix account.
who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working: N/A Nina and Nick own the house.
who steals the blankets: Nina hates the cold and would burrito herself a thousand times if it meant avoiding cold.
who leaves their stuff around: I would say Nina. Like I said I see Nick living fairly neatly due to how he was raised, but Nina on the flip side just kinda forgets she left stuff lying around in different places.
who remembers to buy the milk: Tip does, when he comes over to visit and is like “Hey guys you don’t have milk how am I supposed to make breakfast for you???”
who remembers anniversaries: Nick remembers and celebrates every single one of them regularly. Nina can get the big ones but Nick just likes looking for reasons to celebrate his girlfriend/wife.
Who cooks normally? Honestly, probably Nick. His dad is Tip, he probably picked up some cooking skills from him.
How often do they fight? I think for the most part, they’re fairly peaceful with each other after the ending of SW, but after Charlotte happens I do think there’s a brief bit of time where Nina and Nick end up fighting about their kids. Nina starts to realize their hedonistic lifestyle has had a bit of a negative effect on their kids and while Nick encourages a similar lifestyle Nina kinda wouldn’t agree with that one hundred percent and I could see that causing a couple fights.
What do they do when they’re away from each other? Nina’s probably over at Olive’s a lot, talking about whatever it is idiots challenging each other to balancing competitions do with each other. Nick’s probably spending a lot of time playing catch up with his parents.
Nicknames for each other? I couldn’t find any which is honestly a shame. These two could’ve absolutely come up with some stupid nicknames for each other.
Who is more likely to pay for dinner? Nick’s family is rich as fuck. I don’t really think it’s a question of which one does it.
Who steals the covers at night? If either of them do it, it’s probably Nina, but since they spend most nights cuddling, Nina doesn’t do it nearly as often.
What would they get each other for gifts? Nick gets Nina the most traditionally romantic gifts he can think of. Flowers, jewelry, sweets, and all that jazz. Nina tends to buy him a little more understated gifts, but she also managed to help him get the greatest gift of all time, mortality, so yeah. That was a good one.
Who kissed who first? I haven’t read the scene in years but I can safely assume Nick kissed Nina first in that baseball scene.
Who made the first move? Nick. I would consider more actions of his working towards a romantic nature than not.
Who remembers things? Nina’s incredibly flighty and a little dumb at times, so I would say Nick’s overall probably the one better at remembering things than her.
Who started the relationship? Again, Nick was the one who started it, since he’s the one who asked her out.
Who cusses more? Nick curses, Nina does not. At all. Even under duress.
What would they do if the other was hurt? Nina had a mental breakdown when Nick got hurt. She cracked under the pressure and basically froze up and started crying. I’d imagine if Nina got hurt, he’d immediately put up a shield to keep her from taking further damage, and then try to get help.
Syrice/Alex
big spoon/little spoon: Look I absolutely do not care how tall Syrice may or may not be, he exudes little spoon energy and that means Alex absolutely has to be the big spoon.
favorite non-sexual activity: Alex likes learning about a lot of things, so I’d imagine he genuinely enjoys talking to Syrice about things like hacking and technology and having him teach him how to do it.
who uses all the hot water: Yuu. Syrice is a quick shower kind of guy to me and Alex has been conditioned not to take long showers.
most trivial thing they fight over: Syrice fighting?????? The only thing I could see them fighting over is Alex trying to get Syrice to loosen up and be himself a bit more.
who does most of the cleaning: Both. Syrice probably is under constant pressure at home to keep things clean, and Alex is so used to trying to be a perfect child he works hard to keep everything neat and tidy as well.
what has a season pass on their dvr/who controls the netflix queue: If Syrice doesn’t own the Netflix account, I’d be amazed.
who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working: They’re children but also Syrice does it because Alex very much likes the cold and it’d take the house reaching below 50 for Alex to complain about it.
who steals the blankets: I don’t know for sure if Syrice would be the one to do it, but my gut says it’d be Syrice who gets all the blankets.
who leaves their stuff around: Neither of them. Both are very likely used to being super tidy so they tend to just try to keep things super clean in general.
who remembers to buy the milk: These two are the kinds of nerds who go to supermarkets with shopping lists so they don’t forget what they need to buy. Or at least Alex is and makes Syrice bring it with him.
who remembers anniversaries: I feel like anniversaries would be like...this huge deal for both of them. For Alex, they’re the days where he got a bunch of proof that people really care for him. For Syrice, they’re days where he met somebody who helped him grow out of his family’s shadow and so they don’t just remember them out of love for each other, but because of the amount of self love that they represent.
Who cooks normally? Probably Alex, he’s actually supposed to be a pretty decent cook.
How often do they fight? Alex is scared to raise his voice and Syrice is incredibly timid. When Alex isn’t trying to instill self love into Syrice I doubt they never fight at all.
What do they do when they’re away from each other? Alex is a reader, if he’s alone he’s probably curled up in a chair reading a book. Syrice is probably spending time around his family, working on some tech stuff.
Nicknames for each other? None that I can think of.
Who is more likely to pay for dinner? Syrice’s family is loaded they better be paying for dinner.
Who steals the covers at night? Given the above, I would say it has to be Syrice since Alex does not get cold easily.
What would they get each other for gifts? Alex very rarely, if ever, manages to save up the money to get Syrice a gift, but it’s always something like super heartfelt and something that immediately made him think of him. Like it doesn’t have to be good. It could be something awesome like a new camera (regular camera, not video one) or something dumb like a teddy bear but it’d just be something that just makes him immediately think of Syrice. Syrice meanwhile hacks Alex’s Amazon and buys him everything on his wishlist. (Not to that degree but still.)
Who kissed who first? Alex is absolutely going to have to be the one to do it. That or Yuu takes over and does it for Syrice because he’s tired of the two of them jumping around their feelings for each other.
Who made the first move? Syrice did, by going in and trying to rescue Alex from the shitty situation he was stuck in.
Who remembers things? Both of them tend to do a good job of remembering things in a general sense.
Who started the relationship? Alex asked him out for coffee, so I give it to him.
Who cusses more? Does Syrice curse at all???? I mean I guess Yuu does but Syrice???
What would they do if the other was hurt? I would imagine for Syrice, Yuu would come out and fuck up whatever hurt Alex. For Alex, he would definitely not really know what to do since he’s not much of a fighter, and would try to find a better fighter.

I was gonna write fics for the last day of Persona Week but that fell through because of... Reasons. So Instead, have a post about an AU.
So, Persona AU that’s basically a mix between those cop dramas on TV and a buddy-cop comedy movie. I’m sure it’s pretty obvious that it’ll involve characters involved in the legal system/medical field mostly.
I mean, I could give everyone a role in this, but seeing as I don’t wanna get attached enough to write for it... We’ll stick to (some of) the characters involved in the legal system/medical field (ones I can come up with headcanons for, anyway)
Not accurate to real crime solving because, um, it’s based of things like buddy-cop comedies and the like.
So, this post’ll include: Maki Sonomura, Katsuya Suou, Tatsuya Suou, Akihiko Sanada, Naoto Shirogane, Chie Satonaka, Ryotaro Dojima, Tohru Adachi, Goro Akechi, Sae Niijima, and Tae Takemi!
Maki Sonomura:
Therapist who doesn’t exactly directly work on most cases with the police. Often supplies therapy for victims of crimes that do not result in their death.
Drinks with Katsuya and Tatsuya on occasion. Tries to give advice when they’re stumped on a case (the advice usually ends up helping them, too. No one knows why her advice is so good).
Friends with Tae due to chronic health problems. Tae’s medication usually keeps her out of the hospital. They don’t mention it to any of the legal team in this AU.
Lives with Eriko and Yukino in an apartment near her office.
Katsuya Suou:
Police Detective who isn’t the type to give up on a case when one is given to him. Overworks himself often, despite the worry his coworkers voice at this.
His bosses don’t seem to take him seriously, no matter how hard he works. Been at the station longest and is still the one sent out on silly errands.
Knows Maya and Ohya due to often having to chase them off from crime scenes. Gets pulled into drinking and chatting with them more often than he’d like to admit.
Lives with his brother in an apartment. Might as well live in the station at times.
Tatsuya Suou:
A normal cop, often tries to be quick to respond to emergencies when he can. Not good at dealing with the press, but is decent with civilians.
Goes on errands with Katsuya when he can squeeze it it. It’s about the only time the brothers can bond when things are getting hectic at the station.
Friends with Jun, Lisa, Eikichi, and Anna. Tries to keep them away from his work as much as possible. When really stressed he might even avoid his friends.
Lives with his brother in an apartment. Sometimes crashes at friends’ places when he doesn’t want to make the trip back.
Akihiko Sanada:
A police officer who likes to be the first on scene when he can. Always looks for those in need and tries his best to keep any causalities to a minimum when it comes down to it.
Chie’s partner, been working a little longer and doesn’t know what to think of her antics at times. Other times he’s just as bad as she is and they both end up getting scolded.
Friends with government agents Mitsuru and Aigis, sometimes gets information from them when the leads dry up. Lies about where he gets the info, Mitsuru helps make sure the story checks out.
Married, lives with his spouse in a house. Lives fairly far from the station (spouse can be whoever you imagine, since I’m not writing this lmao. If I did write it tho, would probably be Minato as the spouse)
Naoto Shirogane:
Detective who often finds herself working with the police on tough cases. Usually not greeted with much warmth when working with them, so she tries to avoid trying to make friends.
Often looks for clues and information among the regular populace. Known for being able to use the smallest thread to find an lead that can be used. Gets caught up in it.
High school friend of Chie’s. Doesn’t know how she feels when she ends up working at the station Chie works at. It really depends on the case and Chie’s mood at the time.
Married, lives with her spouse in a nearby apartment  (spouse can be whoever you imagine, since I’m not writing this lmao. If I did write it tho, would probably be Kanji as the spouse )
Chie Satonaka:
New police officer who’s way too excited to be working with Akihiko. A bit hot headed and is known for rushing into things a lot of the time. Has been scolded a lot for this.
Great with civilians. Has a huge following of women who bring her snacks and sweets at work. She doesn’t seem to be interested in actually getting to know any of them past perhaps friendship.
Admires Akihiko, Naoto, and Dojima. Always follows them around the station, as long as they don’t find a way to lose her. When they do she usually defaults to Katsuya instead.
Dating Yukiko, long distance relationship. Lives in a small apartment. (You can imagine what you want with Aki and Naoto, but YukiChie is There).
Ryotaro Dojima:
Police detective who gets more caught up in his work than Katsuya does. Has more trouble staying out of it emotionally than Katsuya does, however. It makes him blind to clear answers sometimes.
Smokes and drinks like a motherfucker. Spends a lot of time drinking with Ohya, due to them both trying to drink their stress away. This worries his daughter.
Adachi is still his partner and still gets pushed around quite a bit. Thinks Adachi transferred out of Inaba because of this pushing and will mention it often.
Lives with Nanako and Yu in a small house.
Tohru Adachi:
Police detective who transferred out of Inaba when a now cold case went unsolved. The case happened to be the deaths of Mayumi Yamano and Saki Konishi, which Adachi is actually linked to.
He seems to be hiding a lot, but only a few really notice it. The few being Katsuya, Naoto, and Goro. He’s good at dodging questions that could incriminate him, however.
Tries to be friendly with Yu and Nanako. Yu is willing to go along with it, but Nanako has no interest in playing nice with him. He acts like he doesn’t understand the dislike, when he does.
Lives in a ratty apartment far from the station.
Goro Akechi:
A detective known for solving cases that lead to political repercussions on certain parties. This is due to the fact he sets them up on behalf of Shido, in order to further his plans.
Afraid of Maki, who has taken an interest in him and has noticed something is up with him. Tries to keep her from picking at his brain too much. This also goes for Naoto and Akihiko.
Spends most of his time with Sae, working on bigger cases to help her set up evidence. Usually sets it up to ensure the outcome he wants is the outcome, Sae usually seems to be none the wiser.
Lives alone in a nice apartment. Made sure it was far from Maki’s apartment.
Sae Niijima:
Prosecutor who does her best to ignore the conspiracy she is part of in order to make it big and supply for her sister. Has lost sight of many of her morals due to this.
Often butts heads with people such as Katsuya, Akihiko, and Chie. Doesn’t see the point in relying so heavily on what they feel is the right thing in a dog-eat-dog world.
Spends a lot of time away from the station due to the stress headaches it causes her. Relies on Goro to deliver most of the information to her because of this.
Lives in a home with Makoto, doesn’t come home often.
Tae Takemi:
Medical examiner for the police. Has a fashion taste that wouldn’t point to this, but she takes her job as seriously as anyone probably should.
Used to be a practitioner, but after things fell through she changed aims and ended up working with the police. Ended up being able to thrive with the small group she got to know.
Friends with Tatsuya and Dojima, lets them vent to her while she’s doing her work. She always knows what to say and never seems to mess up on what she’s doing.
Lives in an apartment near the station.

Revolutionary Girl Utena 21-24
Today in revolutionary girl utena, oh shit oh fuck oh god.
Anthy what the fuck what the actual tap dancing christ.
And While I want to do the overall thoughts thing, like...Man, each session is just a rain of stuff going on that keeps upending both my feelings and general thoughts.
Except that the filler episodes are fucking keys, if goofy ones, and that forever throws me.
Revolutionary Utena Episodes 21- 24
Episode 21
Nanami Girlsquad.
CUT TO VERMIN. Uh..Uh nanmi...?
...What's with the flower in the corner?
….How are you eating the pocky?
Oh shit they have names.
WE'LL ALWAYS BE TOGETHER. Oh that shit isn't sticking. Oh no.
Nanami getting more animated. And hey let's cheer up touga! Cool cool.

The LEAF IS A CATTERPILLAR EGG FUCK.
Oh shit, touga sword time I guess.
This is...increasingly sexual, WAY INCREASINGLY SEXUAL, where it was already pretty sexual before. Just...
Shadow Girls.Mantis...insecticide? What?
Getting the absolute MILES out of this stock footage. The repetition is neat actually, since it seems done on purporse (whenever the pattern breaks SHIT GOES DOWN, so...)
...So this fucked up reversal of the drawing of the sword thing (or completely accurate version of it?) is...
Hm. Song Goes Hard this time though.
I just realized, for all that everyone is copying utenas style, it's really the geeneral “prince” outfit isn't it.
...What the fuck, did Utena just exorcise the hate out of her or something?
Anthy: OH ITS EASY. if it's for someone You love how you feel about others doesn't matter. You just keep lying to yourself for as long as it takes.
Anthy. ANTHY WHY IS EVERYTHING OUT OF YOUR MOUTH ALTERNATIVELY A BITING INSULT OR DEEPLY DISTURBING.
AND THEN IT CUTS TO TRUTH KEEP DESTROYING LIES.
Just...
Episode 22

Oh mikage is a duelist too...? Huh.
...Wait Nemuro? Mikage is nemuro? Uh...Wait. Didn't he die...?
They were researching the power to revolutionize the world? Huh.
...Wait, so were the rings just fashion? Nope, they weren't, but they were abusing his intellect and such it seems...
….Cat, Teapot and Caterpillar? Cat's? Why the hell are you pointing this out. Three cats? What is...
What is it pointing out?
Wait, so...did they actually make seomething? The castle? Lpistick?
The Boy? Oh...oh boy i'm not sure i'm amicable to this directiion.
So...Mamiya has an Older Sister? So is she uh..Anti Akio? Reverse Akio.
Injections? Uh. Uhhhhhh. So he's sick? Was sick?
Is Mamiya Dead?

Fucking Akio...Wait, how old is he? They rebuilt the building and it's pretty old right?
Uh...Wait a second.
A contract with Me? But that's Akio right? Or is it Dios?
...Wait were those ACTUALLY bodies?
AKIO A FUCKING GAIN? WAIT A GODDAMN MINUTE HOW OLD IS HE?
...Is it Mikage who burnt the building down? No Mamiya did.
Mikage what ARE you talking about.
So...The dead boys are Fuel...? For...what?
WAIT THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT RECENT. THATS THE ODLER SISTER RIGHT!?
WHAT THE HELL IS THIS TIMELINE?
Shadow Girls...And lady reacted to Shadow Girls.
Anthy and Utena: CARE DAMN YOU!
….So the schools...Halt aging? MAMIYA IS DEAD?
WAIT WHAT THE FUCK?
Episode 23
Tokiko is her name. And she fucking left the school and...lived a life? What.
Utena Join the Student council.
Why the student council is even a thing?
What the fuck even is a duelist? Shit seems suspect now.
...Uh...Mikage? Phrasing? Or..What's with the looping?
Mikage using Utena as a surrogate?
Utena's eternity seeking started back then huh. But...What's up with the school?
THAT INTRO THING.
Impossible to quit being the rose bride. And now she goes to the Mikage Seminar...?
...Was that Tokiko?
Uh...What's with the weird serial killer wall thing...? Uh. Uhhhhhh
So...Nemuro started the Duels before things started off? And Nemuro rejected Eternity? But Mamiya did NOT.
….Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. UH
THATS NOT TOKIKO. WHAT IS...
Wait. Fighting to preserve their memories? Is...is Utena going n the hellavator?
UTENA INTERRUPT.
Oh fuck. Utena threw the gauntlet? uh...Uhhhhh. Concern.
Meanwhile, Nemuro continues his mental breakdown.
Nemuro with the Utena Will Kill Me Reads.
...Did he draw a sword out himself.?
Oh man, the repetitions suddenly become a bit more ominous. Did this Wakaba seen already play before?
Others see...
Oh they skipped the song. Oh shit oh fuck.
I like how he's LITERALLY like a flipped utena. He's got that same dash stab maneuver. Swords lookin the same. Hm. hm. Black and white Roses.
WAIT. Is...He looking wrong? Does he look wrong? Wait, did Nemuro set the fire.
DECADES!?
...Nemuro Graduate..?
The building is fucking GONE. They...They don't remember SHIT>
Wait, did it get unmade? What the fuck?
...WAS THAT ANTHY THE WHOLE TIME!?!?!?!?!?
Another filler ep?
Episode 24
This Kid is absolutely on fucking point. Like Shit Mitsuru.
Is He Dead: Anthy, you TRIFLING-
...Why did they strip him?
Is this a clips episode?
….This boy stalkin.
….Nanami is Justice. And Her True face?
Never dirtying her own hands...
Ok, they're talking about the mind swap ep, and...Ok, looking atthis, and the last episode revealing anthy's uh...whatever the fuck that is. I'm now a bit more certain of my previous read of it being less a real thing and more like a personality swap rather than a full mind swap.
Also starting to wonder about chuchu. He acting on her orders or something.
Oh, they're just acknowledging the weird shit.
Jesus Mitsuru. You just...What the hell?
...No matter how she tries to hurt people she get's hurt the worst? Which...Sounds like a goof, but that's factually what happens. Shit gets visited back on her like 8 times as worse.
Wait, are Nanami and Utena and Anthy the Shadow Girls this time?
Ok, I can 100% believe they just never looked under the table. That...Feels frighteningly in character actually.
Gotta say, Mitsuru has surprisingly become an interesting character so...
...Was...his plan to replace her brother...? Uh. Wait. And mess with her mind too?  Wait. Wait. Wait a fucking second what the fuck.
Oh the cow thing DEFFO happened. They're just not thinking about it. Or referencing it. What the...
Why are they all referring to ONLY the nanami eps? Like damn, the attention paid here is uh. FEELS MAD WEIRD considering how on point everything else happened here so. Like just an ep ago, we were dealing with a man's mental break down and also him unexisting because Utena beat him so bad.
Home boy turns into a cow too. ….and accidentally flashes his dick which causes nanami to freak out and fly out the window.
Was it just a dream? Maybe?
Shadow Girls...? Again?
Monkey and Robots again...? Uh...I feel that means something.

@guard-kotonoe
Kotonoe gave a small shrug and a joking smile. “Oh, you probably are, but hey, you could double the price for two.” She said as she cracked up. Maybe sleep and hunger were mixing against her? That would probably be a very good thing to watch out for, and possibly a reason to her odd boldness. “Really though, how would they even react to that in the first place? I mean, it would be worth seeing their reactions at least.” She commented as she thought about it, her eyebrow raised and lips pursed. “But even still, I bet someone may start reaching for their money, if you didn’t just catch them 100% off guard at least.” She added as she chuckled. Honestly, maybe blowing off her work load wouldn’t be a good idea for that, but she could help the thought of coming back to her building and suddenly having all that money. Their reactions would be utterly amusing and she couldn't help but admit that much. She hates to admit it though, but now that she thought about it, she would probably get an earful regardless since she hadn't called to tell them she was staying. She thought about shooting over a message to the cat deputy, but shrugged her shoulders and hummed a no to herself. No need, she’d explain when she got back there.
“The fact that you think you know where one is anyway already makes that one of the best statements today.” She said as she cast her gaze up to the broadcaster. “I wouldn't know where it is though. Maybe I should after running everywhere, but I have no clue. My goal is get the people theirs papers and get back, with today as an exception.” She said as she trailed off, her mind derailing for a moment. She gave an apologetic smile to him when she caught herself doing so. “I better be the first one you tell.” She said with an overdramatic tone. “Really, I’d be a bit offended of you told anyone else first as is.” She added, a small grin lacing her lips. “Hey, I need practice still anyways, gotta be able to hold my own against my friend when she comes to visit.” Kotonoe said with a chuckle, though she really did have competitions with her friend when the two visited, as long as they weren’t talking or showing each other new things to try. “And Mitsuru, I don’t think I’d mind too much to do that. I really wouldn’t find it that big of a deal to do.” She said, and while her voice was teasing she wasn’t entirely lying. If she could she would probably walk around with barely anything- it was too hot for black most days anyways as far as she cared. And she wasn’t exactly one to be shy of her looks unless someone was blatenly pointing out her blind eye.
“That’s true. They get a bad wrap a lot of the time, but they’re so talented. I don’t think people even realize that until they try it. They think ‘oh, it’s so easy, no self respecting person would do that.’ But the ones I met probably have more self respect than anyone else I’ve known.” She said, going off on a small tangent before realizing and giving a small and embarrassed shrug. “Sorry, it’s true though.” She added. She had tired to do what they were capable of on many occasions, and while she could do some, she certainly wasn’t on par with a lot of the ones who had met. They would always beat her in that. When his face turned red however Kotonoe’s lit up and a smile grew on her lips. “So you are a bit jealous of the thought then.” She hummed as she leaned over onto him. Her own cheeks grew red at it though, and she wasn’t surprised, she was trying to keep her hopes in check, but her crush getting jealous over something like that- regardless of what he had said- made her heart beat just a little faster. Even if she refused to admit that.
“I mean, of you say so.” Kotonoe hummed out in reference of the scratches. “I guess maybe some floor really isn’t the best surface then, like you said.” Kotonoe agreed with a shrug. “But I could see his dad not letting you come back around after he caught that. At least see where he was coming from.” She added, making sure her point was clear when she explained. “Seems he ended up pretty good though.” She commented when she heard what Mitsuru said about him. “If he really did end up like that then I’d say so at least.” She gave a small 'hm’ at the thought and shook her head. “That’s one way for things to end up, I guess.”
Kotonoe quieted down when he started speaking, even though the curiosity was etched across her face. At the mention of the two reasons she tilted her own head briefly, in agreance. She came out pretty good with how her step dad and mother had raised her, though she didn’t like her biological father. It had worked out how it had, and she shurgged it off before turning her attention back to him. “After hearing about everything then I can see why you would want to raise your children how you would then, to be better.” She said, her tone serious and unswaying as she spoke. Her facial expression was calm as she looked back up at him. He had probably heard her, despite the fact her words had been under her breath more so. Kotonoe was a bit surprised for a moment- she had thought he was talking about adopting earlier honestly. But hearing that she lost her voice for a moment, only a small 'oh’ leaving her lips before her face was dyed red. Looking back up at him quickly she could see his reaction and traces of the blush from what skin she could see. “Ya know, they would probably be rebellious and get in a lot of trouble maybe, just because I had a knack for it, and it seems you did too. But they would probably be pretty cute.” She added, her own flustered state worsening before she pulled his hat down over her face to try and hide it.
“Maybe I’ll pick up a thing or two for when I head back to building 2. So I don’t get my head chewed all the way off.” She reasoned as she looked around once more. She moved to adjust her choker when her nails clicked with the plastic of headphones. Oh yeah, she was still wearing then. Trying to play off that she hadn’t just done that she slipped her hands back in her pockets, despite the amused grin on her face. “But if we go back and the fluff ball is still there then I wanna feed him some snacks.” She insisted, though her voice was low to make sure anyone else didn’t catch on to it. After all, she knew the rules well, and she had a feeling not everyone knew of the black furred feline. “Who’s going to stop me then if I keep it up?” She asked with a teasing voice as she poked his side, a playful grin on her lips. It was too fun to pass up on. “I think it’s kinda funny.” Of course she was ready to stop the moment her wanted her to.
“You need it.” She hummed in reply as she took a seat next to him. “I’ll just mess around on my phone as you sleep. Plus I’ll keep track of the stops so we get there without incident.” She added as she leaned back and relaxed. “You can even use me as a pillow if you’d like.” She offered, a sincere grin on her face. He really needed the sleep as far as she thought. “Alright, so no marker. I’m sure I may have liquid eyeliner in one of my pockets.” She said as she thought out loud before looking over to him and smiling softly. “Or I may just leave you alone. Wouldn't want to mess up your looks.” She hummed, half teasing and half sincere. Instead she just glanced out the window and pulled out her phone, nabbing her hat from him and placing it on her lap before it got left. “Feel free to use me as a pillow.” She repeated before cutting on her phone.
Mitsuru grinned. “So we double the price, let them watch a little, get all the good money and go on vacation together? Maybe LA? I heard it’s a beautiful adventure to fall in love over there” He was joking, his grin went all the way up from one ear to the other.  “I mean, we all need vacationes once in a while, don’t you think. And I don’t know about your supervisor, but Miss Hyakushiki can be a horrible boss at times~”  Well, the black haired man wasn’t innocent when it came to that subject. It was his fault most of the time when she was annoyed and he did know that very well. But he wouldn’t admit it.  For a moment he was watching Kotonoe, thinking, then he asked: “Did you inform your supervisor or at least the sassy cat that you’re out with me? I bet he won’t be that happy if you just went missing without telling him where you are...”  The broadcaster didn’t want to cause her any trouble so she should inform him, but on the other hand, he feared that he would call her back... It was both stupid...
Mitsuru tried to remember, where the pole was.  “I might have seen it in one of the unused cells, but as I said, I’m not sure about that one.”  It doesn’t make much sense, he knew that, but that was what his memory told him. Why the hell should there be a stripper pole in an empty cell? Why?  He shrugged to himself and grinned again, Maybe that cell was from a former stripper or something. One couldn’t know.  He knew a lot of inmates, at least on paper, but of course not all. That would be too much even for his rather good memory.  “Maybe someone was secretly trying to be a star down there” he laughed, trying to not think about who would do that. He wouldn’t want to imagine some of the guards in nothing more than strange lingery dancing on a pole. Nope, that wasn’t really what he wanted to think about.  He shook his head and grinned. “No, I really don’t want to know....”
“You don’t have to apologize, I know it’s true~”, he really knew it and he never would say anything else. These people were amazing and he never met a more self-respecting human being indeed.  “I don’t even know how they can manage to dance like this on a metallic pole.... I couldn’t do it. I really couldn’t~” he laughed softly and stretched a little.  “I should take lessons again” His smile got wider again. “Maybe I’m even more handsome then”  He acted like he was checking himself when he saw his refelction in the mirror, then laughed again. “Oh god, I look horrible... be honest.. how could you even look at me?”  “Yes, I am a little jealous”, he admitted and looked away again, blushing. “I just don’t like the thought of old horny men looking at you...”  He was rather shy about admitting that, but he knew the Hummingbird Guard would ask until he would.
Mitsuru grinned a little. “Oh, the ground wasn’t the worst surface I ever had sex on, believe me”, he explained. “I mean... it was bad, yes, but there is worse... much worse~”  He remembered the one time when he was screwing with a guy at an abandoned farm in the straw. That was unpleasant. And he did find straw everywhere even weeks later.  “I mean straw is pretty horrible... and a really cold glass table.... especially when it cracks while you’re... Okay, let’s stop here, it’s getting awkward..”  He laughed shyly. He really didn’t want to talk about that.  “And I’m rather sure he ended with that rich guy now. And his dad hates him for that now. But my buddy is happy and that’s the most important part~”
The broadcaster smiles widely. “I was a rebellious kid as well, so they would really be”, he explained with a grin and his cheeks were deep red as well. “And they would be hella cute! And loud I would say.”  “And I’m sorry that it came out of no where like this~” he said shyly. “It was just the first thought I had so... and you wanted to know...” And again, he heard that she was saying. “It’s not like I had the worst parents. As long as I was staying in line, they were nice to me. I don’t want to protect them, no. I just know that there are people that have it much worse than I and I don’t want to play the role of a victim here.” He sighed a little. “I felt uncomfortable, yes, but I grew up and I’m proud of what I have become~”
Instead of stopping her Mitsuru laughed again when she poked his side. He didn’t even thought about it because he liked how close she was and he didn’t mind that poking much.  “You can feed him, of course~” he asured her and smiles softly, talking more quiet now so no one would heat about it. “He’ll be really happy to get more snacks and more attention. He loves it. and well, a lot of people who know about him give him that attention. He’s really happy about that~”  Thinking about the black cat, his smiles got warmer. He really cared about him, one could tell. Hajime didn’t know that. He didn’t even know that Mitsuru knew about Kuu.  “We’ll get him the snacks he loves the most”, he explained since he tried a lot of snacks on this cat. He didn’t even know how picky cats can get before he met the guard kitty.
The black haired man nodded a little and leaned his head against her shoulder, moving around a little until he found a comfy position and closes his eyes.  “You’re really comfy...” he mumbled while inhaling her scent happily. He was about to say how nice she smells, but he stopped himself from it. Not only that it was embarrassing, no, it was also rather creepy, at least in his oppinion.  He didn’t say anything for a moment. It was just so calming and relaxing. He really was about to fall asleep, but that would be rude he thought. They were in the middle of a conversation....
