DEAR [ YOU ], WE ADMIRE YOU.
« WE HAVE BEEN WATCHING YOU. Measuring you, dissecting you in the quiet autopsy of ambition, in the sacred calculus of hunger and ruin. And yet, you persist. Exquisite thing, self-fashioned from sinew and silver-tongued lies, you understand, don’t you?—That this world does not belong to those who ask politely. It belongs to those who take, to those who carve their names into history with a steady hand and an unflinching gaze.
The Trial of Hearts calls for you.
Lucky thirteen names. Lucky you.
And now, you must decide. Do you step forward? Or do you wait, breathless, as the noose tightens around the throat of hesitation?
The board is set, eager to welcome you.
Be beautiful. Be brilliant. Be courageous.
Most ardently, we await you. »
══════════════════
At a Swiss prestigious BLUE IVY UNIVERSITY, where ambition calcifies into power, thirteen alumni are handpicked by a Secret Society each year to partake in the Trial of Hearts — a grande spectacle of a game of persuasion, betrayal, and an unforgettable high. The greatest honor, the sweetest absolution and fulfillment of desire, and the cruelest sentence. Lose and you're exposed, exiled, ruined beyond repair. It is told the thirteen receive six months to sharpen their knives until the game begins. This year's batch, however, bears different teeth. The alumnus whom everyone thought would win —the golden prodigy, the untouchable destiny— is found dead on a Sunday on chapel stone, throat opened like a second mouth, body arranged in perfect repose. A renaissance painting rendered in flesh and finale. No note. Only elegant violence, a statement written in absence, a rupture in the grand design. Now twelve remain, and the music has already changed its tune, for no one here is innocent.
THE MESSAGE IS CLEAR: SOMEONE HAS ALREADY PLAYED THEIR HAND.
THE TRIAL OF HEARTS is an original 21+ game-theory skeleton-based rp, featuring twelve of the university’s most brilliant and ambitious that are taking part in a Secret Society game. Inspired by The Secret History , The Atlas Six and Gossip Girl, the game’s limited run will unravel the obsessions, betrayals, and secrets of its players, and beg the question: Who will win this year's game?

My attempt to solve the lore of Sonic Lost World:
Sonic Lost World is a game that has confused me for years now, and since the prequel comic didn’t answer many of my questions I decided to pull a MatPat and solve the lore for myself.
Now just to be clear, I have not read the Archie or all of the IDW Sonic comics mainly bc that would cost a lot, also not everything about my theories is 100% accurate and not all questions will be answered so plz go easy on me, I did my best.
Theory #1: The Lost Hex is a planet made up of parts of the Earth
The Lost Hex, a very “original” world that I have loved as a kid just because of its simplistic beauty. However the way this world is built never made any sense to me. How was this world even made in the first place? Well, here’s what I have gathered:
First, a lot of the locations in the Lost Hex are very similar to Sonic’s world. I mean I thought the Zeti were sucking the life out of Windy Hill Zone when they were actually doing it from Sonic’s world, and yes you can call me dumb for believing this for 10 years when the main characters literally say “Our World”, but could you really blame me when both locations look incredibly similar? Hell, even Orbot and Cubot comment on Windy Hill Zone being similar to Green Hill Zone in the Prequel comic:

And yes, Sonic games are no stranger on having Green Hill Zone clones or levels similar to Sonic’s, but I find it particularly interesting how this is the one time someone actually said something about it.
Second, the Lost Hex is literally unfinished. There is no nucleus, it’s hexagonal, and there are parts of it missing:

So with that being said, I believe the Lost Hex was made of parts of the Earth. This would explain the similarities to WHZ AND GHZ and why the planet is unfinished. Also, according to science, it is theorized that the actual earth started out as a small space rock, but eventually combined with other space rocks to become the Earth we have today.
(Side theory here: I kinda suspect that the Lost Hex was made because of Dark and Light Gaia from Sonic Unleashed, since in that game every tens of thousands of years Dark Gaia breaks apart the Earth with Light Gaia being the one to put it back to sleep. While yes, the Earth is eventually repaired, I can’t help but get the feeling that there might’ve been a few chunks of the Earth floating to eventually become the Lost Hex)
Theory #2 The Deadly Six/Zeti are demons from hell (or a realm similar to hell)
The Deadly Six, some of the villains in all of Sonic. These guys have honestly been some of my favorite Sonic characters for years now (bite me), but even with that, I still have no idea of their origins or how they came to be or what they even are. Hell, there really isn’t much evidence regarding their origins, and no, I refuse to believe these guys just spawned into the Lost Hex randomly one day. If nearly every Sonic villain has a reason to exist, then these guys should too.
First, according to Takashi Lizuka, the key producer, director, and designer of Sonic team. The Zeti are based off of Oni, which are demons from Japanese culture. In fact, their race was originally going to be that, but for American audiences they were renamed into Zeti (wooow super creative).
Second, where do demons normally come from? Hell of course! You might be thinking, “Wait, hell actually exists in the Sonic universe?” based off of what I can gather, it seems like a solid yes for me. In Sonic and the Secret Rings, Sonic does theorize about the Seven World Rings opening up the gates of hell:

As well as Zazz even using it as a minor profanity/metaphor multiple times in the lost Sonic mobile game: Sonic Runners in the Zazz raid event:
Hell Zazz himself calls himself, thus his race, demons:
So with all of that evidence, I don’t find it hard to believe that these guys originated from hell or a realm that is similar to Hell.
Theory #3: The Zeti were banished to the Lost Hex
This one is a pretty far-fetched theory, but this was the one that made the most sense to me.
So with the theory that these freaks came from hell (or a realm similar to it), it brings us to our next question: How did they end up in the Lost Hex in the first place?
Well, I do not have much concrete evidence for this sadly, but I do have a little friend to help called: Logic.
So here it goes: I believe these guys were kicked out of hell (or their realm), I say this because this could actually explain why the Deadly Six are so hellbent on world domination, they simply want a place to belong. And villains aren’t born, they’re made (not that these guys must’ve started out as goody two-shoes) and being kicked out of your own home would give a natural response to want to find a place to belong. I also feel like they were being sent to the Lost Hex specifically because it’s a hidden world shielded from humans (or was)
Now I feel like this went one of two ways.
One, only the Deadly Six were kicked out and once they had a whole planet to themselves, they made sure of it by eliminating any who visit the planet. We can tell because Eggman wasn’t the first person to discover the Lost Hex according to Zavok:

Or two, the entire Zeti race was kicked out by their creator and the humans who did visit the planet saw these creatures and immediately tried to kill them so they could take it for themselves, making the Zeti a near extinct species with the only survivors being the Deadly Six themselves, hence why Zavok was so hostile towards Eggman during his first encounter. Especially since us humans are pretty much known to make a lot of animals to go extinct, I mean we’re the reason Mammoths don’t exist, so this wouldn’t be too out of the ordinary.
But hey, that’s just a theory…A LOST WORLD THEORY!!!
Tell me about any evidence to back up or argue against my theories in the comments and again, go easy on me, I did my best.

Chapter 29: Remembering. (Serial Designation V x reader)
Masterlist
TW: Descriptions of pain and suffering
Back in her room, Uzi spins her chair around, a satisfied chuckle escaping her as N and V begin to stir. It worked. She actually got their memories back.
V, always the quickest to act, barely takes a second before her hand snaps into a chainsaw, the jagged edge revving to life as she growls. "What the hell, Uzi?! What gives you the right to snoop through our heads?"
She stops mid-threat, her optics flicking to the side. Uzi follows her gaze and freezes. Techie is still wired into the computer, slumped in the chair, motionless. Dimmed optics flicker with scrolling text.
ADMINISTRATOR LOCKOUT: SUCCESSFULBEGINNING DISK CLEANUP|||||________________________________ 7%
Uzi’s stomach drops. No. No, no, no. This shouldn’t be possible, Techie should have woken up, just like N and V.
Unless...
No. That’s impossible. The only way anyone could be locked inside like this is if… they were inside their own memory simulation as well.
Her breath hitches. That human—the one N called Techie. There’s no way, right?
She snaps her head toward N and V. “Explain. Now. Who the hell was that technician?”
N shifts as his newfound memories resurface, "I know! That technician was—"
“An old friend,” V interrupts, her voice unusually subdued. Her optics don’t meet Uzi’s. "From before... everything happened."
V exhales sharply, glancing at Techie's lifeless form. "I wasn’t sure at first, but as I’ve spent time with them, I realized... That drone sitting in front of us? That’s that human."
Uzi’s eyes widen as V’s words sink in. Her voice rises into a near-shout. “And you didn’t think to mention that before I sent them into a memoryscape with that eldritch freakshow?!”
V doesn’t hesitate. Her chainsaw revs louder, the jagged blade stopping just short of Uzi’s throat. “Oh, I don’t know,” she growls, her voice dripping with sarcasm. “Maybe because you ambushed us and jammed yourself into our heads before I had the chance?”
Uzi swallows hard, glaring at V even as she leans back slightly from the weapon. “Fine. You make a good point.”
“Damn right, I do.” V lowers her weapon, but her glare remains sharp. “Now fix it.”
Not needing to be told twice, Uzi spins back to her computer, fingers flying over the keyboard as she desperately tries to regain control. Code floods the screen, scrolling too fast for her to process.
“Come on, come on…” she mutters, sweat beading on her forehead. Every second that bar inches forward, Techie’s chances of waking up shrink.
She grits her teeth and keeps typing. She has to fix this.
Light floods your vision. The sterile hum of fluorescent lights buzzes faintly overhead, and the scent of hot metal and solder fills your nose.
A workbench stretches out in front of you, scattered with tools, wires, and diagnostic equipment. Right. Your final exam—robotics training. You’ve spent weeks preparing for this, and now you’re almost done.
The test was simple in theory: repair a malfunctioning worker drone suffering from an assortment of mechanical and software issues. Simple. But under pressure? Not so much.
You tighten the last screw into place, sealing the drone’s back panel before setting the screwdriver down with a shaky breath. This should be it. You double-check the wiring, hoping you’ve done everything right. There’s only one way to find out.
Your finger hovers over the power button for a split second before pressing down.
The drone’s optics flicker to life. A soft whir fills the air as it boots up, standing upright before turning to face you.
“Hello!” it chirps, its voice light and pleasant.
Success.
A grin breaks across your face. You did it.
Your professor strides over, their sharp gaze scanning the drone as they run through a quick diagnostic check. They lift the drone’s arms, test its mobility, and check the interface for any lingering errors. After a moment, they nod in approval.
"Everything seems to be in perfect working order," they say, turning to you with an approving smile. "Excellent job. You pass with flying colors."
Relief washes over you. You exhale a breath you hadn’t realized you were holding, nodding in thanks as a few of your classmates glance over. Some are still deep in their own work, muttering under their breath as they struggle with their drones. Others shoot you brief looks—some impressed, others indifferent.
Not wanting to linger, you quietly gather your things. The exam is over for you, and there’s no point in sticking around. You sling your bag over your shoulder and make your way toward the door.
Just as your fingers brush against the handle, a loud clatter echoes through the room.
You turn on instinct. One of your classmates has just powered their drone on, and while it seems to function for the most part, something is clearly wrong. Its speech module is glitching, causing it to stutter and garble its words in a mess of static and half-formed syllables.
The student groans in frustration, their expression twisting into anger. "Ugh, stupid thing—"
Before anyone can stop them, they shove the drone off the table.
It crashes to the floor with a sickening crunch.
Without thinking, you rush over, grabbing the student by the arm and spinning them around. "What the hell is wrong with you?!" you snap, anger flaring in your chest. "You can’t just treat them like that!"
The student sneers at you, yanking their arm free. "Calm down. It’s just a hunk of metal," they scoff, rolling their eyes. "Besides, what do you care? You act like they’re people or something."
You clench your fists, heart pounding.
They laugh, shaking their head before shooting you a look of disgust.
"You really are a freak."
That phrase echoes in your mind as everything around you fades away—"You really are a freak."
Over and over again, through the black void.
You open your eyes, the soft sheets of your bed comforting as the morning sun peeks through the curtains. Today’s the day—you’ll be heading out of town for your new job. Some technician gig for a rich family out in the swamp. You’ve been looking for something like this for months, and the offer came out of nowhere, just like that! You didn’t even apply for anything—just created a profile through the JCJenson website, but you hadn’t had a chance to actually browse any listings.
You guess someone’s looking out for you after all.
Rising from bed, you stretch, shaking off the last remnants of sleep before turning your attention to packing. You double-check your suitcase, making sure you haven’t left anything important behind. Clothes, tools, personal items—it’s all here. Just as you’re about to close it, something small and round slips out from between your neatly folded shirts, rolling across the wooden floor with a soft clink.
You bend down, reaching for it. A small, smoky blue gemstone rests against the floorboards, catching the morning light. You pick it up, running your thumb over the smooth surface.
You’ve had this stone since you were a kid. It doesn’t hold any deep sentimental value—not really. You don’t even remember where you got it. But for some reason, you’ve always kept it close. A good luck charm, maybe. You can’t imagine ever parting with it.
You slip it back into your pocket, sighing in relief before zipping up your suitcase. Time to go.
You pick up your suitcase, gripping the handle tightly as you take a deep breath. It’s time.
With a steadying exhale, you step forward and open the door.
Only to find… nothing.
The hallway outside your room is gone, replaced by an endless, yawning void. Before you can react, the ground beneath you vanishes, and you plummet into the vast nothingness, the weightless sensation sending your stomach into your throat. You try to scream, but no sound escapes. Darkness swallows you whole.
You’re late.
You slept in.
Late for your first day of work at the Elliott’s.
How is this possible??
You throw the covers off and scramble out of bed, heart pounding as you yank on your clothes in a panic. Of all the ways to start this job, this is the worst. You barely have time to double-check yourself in the mirror before bolting out of your small basement room and up the stairs—
SMACK.
You collide with someone and nearly fall over, barely managing to steady yourself as they hit the ground.
A maid drone.
“Oh, crap, I’m so sorry—!” You quickly reach down and help her up, eyes wide with guilt. “I wasn’t looking where I was going, I—”
She dusts herself off, looking a little flustered but otherwise fine. “Oh, um, no, it’s okay! I-I was actually coming to wake you up.”
Wait.
You blink at her, confusion momentarily replacing your panic.
“My shift starts in—” You check your watch, only for your stomach to drop as you realize your mistake.
You read the time wrong.
You aren’t late.
Your face burns with embarrassment as you run a hand through your hair, letting out a breathless laugh. “Oh. Wow. Uh, sorry about that. Guess I freaked out over nothing.”
The maid drone giggles softly, her posture still a little stiff. “It’s alright. I was kind of worried you’d sleep through your alarm. I was the first one you met yesterday, remember? My name’s V.”
V.
You pause.
Something about that name stirs something deep in your mind, like an old song you can’t quite remember the lyrics to. It lingers on the tip of your tongue, just out of reach.
But then V smiles at you—timid, polite, a little awkward.
And the strange feeling slips away.
You smile at her. “That’s really considerate of you, especially since we only just met.”
V’s posture stiffens slightly, her eyes flickering as she glances away. “Oh, um… it’s not a big deal or anything.” She fidgets, adjusting her maid uniform. “I mean, if you’re late, it affects the rest of us, too. It’s just in our best interest to check up on each other.”
You chuckle. “Still, I appreciate it. Really.”
Her gaze flickers back to you, uncertainty melting into something softer. “...Well, you’re welcome, then.”
You nod, adjusting your clothes. “I’m looking forward to working with you and everyone else.”
V’s lips twitch into a small smile. “I’d be happy to show you around, introduce you to the others.”
“That’d be great.”
She gestures for you to follow, and you take a step forward—
—but the world around you begins to melt.
Colors blur, shapes distort, the floor beneath your feet ceases to exist.
You don’t even have time to react before the memory crumbles away entirely.
You walk over and take the clipboard from V, scanning the list. It was surprisingly thorough—she’d noted everything from loose doorknobs to fading paint along the baseboards.
You smile at her, “I really appreciate your help with all of this, V. I don’t think I could get through it without you.”
She stiffens, her fingers twitching as she looks away. “I-it’s no problem, I don’t mind. Really.”
You chuckle and, on impulse, pat her head.
Error: Unexpected Affection Detected.
You show V how to make pancakes, guiding her as she stirs the batter. She nods eagerly, then accidentally mixes too fast—sending batter flying across the kitchen. Some splatters onto both of you. There’s a moment of stunned silence before you burst out laughing, V quickly following suit.
“Not too fast,” you place your hand lightly over hers to help steady her grip. “You don’t want to splash it everywhere.”
She freezes at the contact for a moment, her optics brightening slightly, but she doesn’t pull away. “Got it,” she murmurs.
The two of you sit side by side in front of a large window, gazing out at the endless night sky. The soft ambience of the mansion fills the silence, the glow of the stars reflecting in her optics. Your shoulders brush, and static electricity crackles between you.
“The moon is beautiful, isn’t it?” you murmur.
V glances at you, her expression unreadable—until a faint blush dusts her face.
“It is,” she says softly.
You lie in bed, your fingers intertwined with V’s as she reads to you. Her voice is steady, soothing, filling the quiet room with a warmth you can’t quite describe. The world outside doesn’t matter. Here, in this moment, you feel safe.
Warmth pools in your chest, unfamiliar yet comforting. Is this… love?
And then, just like everything else, these memories fade away.
You open your eyes as pain wracks your body. Agony is all you can fathom. Your gaze darts around the room, but you can’t move. You’re strapped to some kind of table, hooked up to a mess of wires and devices. The room around you is dimly lit, a run-down laboratory, cold and unfamiliar. You can’t even begin to question where you are—the pain is overwhelming, searing through every nerve like fire. It’s worse than anything you’ve ever experienced.
You force yourself to look down, instantly regretting it. A gaping wound mars your chest, torn open where that eldritch beast’s tendril had impaled you. The sight alone makes your head spin. How are you still alive? No—why are you still alive? Every attempted breath sends agony lancing through what remains of your ribs, and you open your mouth to scream, but nothing comes out.
Then, the door creaks open.
Your stomach drops as Cyn steps inside. She’s in her worker drone form, as if mocking you with her small, unassuming frame—like she hadn’t just torn your world apart. She tilts her head, smiling as she watches you struggle. “Cordial greeting. I see you are awake. Perhaps human medical technology isn’t useless after all.”
Something shifts behind her. Your eyes widen in horror as a slick, black tendril slithers from her back, lazily extending toward a console beside you. It presses a few buttons with unsettling precision, making the monitors flicker. Another tendril whips off to the side, dragging a gurney into view, carrying a powered-off worker drone, its lifeless body still on the cold metal cart.
Wires snake out from the machinery beside you, latching onto the drone like some grotesque experiment. You can only watch in silent agony, unable to move, unable to voice the fear clawing at your throat. Cyn steps closer, her neon-yellow optics gleaming with sick delight as one of her tendrils picks up a thick cable. At the end of it is a long, wickedly sharp needle.
She holds it up, almost playfully, before leaning in.
“Hold still. I do believe this has never been attempted, until now. Giggle.”
You try to resist, but some unseen force clamps down on you, stopping even the slightest movement of your head. Your body betrays you, locked in place as panic claws at your mind. You can only watch, helpless, as the tendril moves the needle behind your skull—out of sight, but not out of mind.
Cyn tilts her head, watching you with amusement. “Don’t worry. I am not finished with you. And you won’t remember any of this. Well, hopefully.” She lets out a small giggle, her gaze gleaming like a predator playing with its food. “Human minds are so much more fickle than drones.”
You barely have time to process her words before searing agony erupts through your skull. The needle drives deep, and a sensation like a lightning strike surges through your entire body. Every nerve ignites, every fiber of your being screams in protest as darkness swallows your vision. But the nightmare doesn’t end there.
Because while you may no longer see, you can still feel.
Pain unlike anything imaginable overtakes you as something indescribable is wrenched from your very core. Your mind—your self—is being torn away from the brain that has been yours since the moment you came into existence. You are being ripped from your own body. Thought ceases, coherence shatters, and all that remains is raw, unbearable agony.
And then, just as suddenly as it began—everything stops.
ADMINISTRATOR LOCKOUT: SUCCESSFULBEGINNING DISK CLEANUP||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||__ 94%
Uzi’s fingers fly across the keyboard, desperation fueling her rapid inputs as she fights against the process. Lines of code blur together as she forces command after command, trying anything to halt the inevitable. But the counter ticks up to 95%, unfazed by her efforts.
V’s patience shatters. She steps forward, optics burning with frustration. “That’s it. Send me in. Like you did with us.”
Uzi doesn’t even look up, still typing. “That’s a terrible idea.”
“I don’t care.”
“If you’re still inside when the process finishes, you’ll be erased too.” Uzi’s voice is sharp, but there’s a flicker of hesitation beneath it. “And as great as that might be,” she adds with biting sarcasm, “something tells me N won’t like that.”
V’s claws shoot out in a blur, stopping just short of Uzi’s throat. Her optics bore into the worker drone’s, raw with something Uzi doesn’t expect—desperation. “Let me try.”
For once, Uzi is speechless. She stares at V, weighing the risk, the sheer insanity of what she’s about to allow.
She exhales sharply and yanks a cable from the terminal, holding it out. “Fine. Plug yourself in.”
You sit in the void of your memories, a vast and endless darkness stretching infinitely around you. Faint echoes of experiences drift at the edges of your perception—things you know you've lived through, but they remain just out of reach, impossible to grasp. It’s all slipping away, unraveling like loose threads in a tapestry you can’t seem to hold together.
You blink, text appearing in your field of view once again:
A-S Backup Process Enabled.
Purging Incriminating Data
:)
A soft giggle cuts through the silence.
Cyn stands before you, a cruel smile curling her lips as she takes in your broken state. You stare up at her, defeated. There’s nothing left to fight for. Nothing left at all.
She snaps her fingers.
V appears beside her—tall, imposing, her claws gleaming under an unseen light. Her fanged grin is sharp and cold, lacking any warmth.
“A shame my experiment failed,” Cyn muses, tilting her head. “You were quite intriguing to watch.”
V’s claws extend with a metallic shink, her optics narrowing as she sizes you up.
Cyn continues, her voice chillingly indifferent. “I pitied V enough to give you a chance, to be a tool for me just like her, but it’s clear you belong with everyone else—as part of me, the Solver of the Absolute Fabric.”
V lunges.
Her claws clamp around your throat, pinning you to the ground as she looms over you, fangs bared. You don’t fight. You don’t struggle. You don’t even flinch. You’re done.
But then—
V hesitates.
The pressure around your neck loosens. Instead of tearing into you, she lets go, pulling you back to your feet. Her claws retract as she gazes into your eyes, something unreadable flickering across her face.
“As fun as it would be to kill you,” she drawls, smirking, “I think that’d be rather anticlimactic, don’t you think?”
You blink. Confusion stirs in the emptiness of your mind. “What…? Why aren’t you—”
V groans, rubbing her temple. “You’ll get it in a minute.”
Without warning, she raises her arm, her hand shifting into a gun. She fires.
Cyn shatters in a burst of pixels.
Before you can even react, V grabs you by the shoulders, her expression urgent. “Listen to me—you need to snap out of it.”
You stare at her, the weight of her words not quite sinking in.
“You’re inside your own head,” she presses on. “Cyn’s rewriting you. She’s trying to make you forget everything.”
You try to respond, to ask her what she means, but she shakes her head. “No time for that.” Her grip tightens. “You have to remember. Remember me. Remember Uzi. Remember what’s happening in the real world!”
The void trembles. Cracks split through the darkness, revealing blinding white light beneath. The world around you begins to shatter, pixel by pixel.
V’s optics widen in alarm. “No, no, no—stay with me!”
Panicked, she grabs you by the arms and yanks you into a hug, holding you tight. “Come on,” she pleads, her voice almost breaking. “You have to remember—”
The pixels overtake you both.
V gasps as she is suddenly yanked from the simulation, the world around her dissolving into nothing. She flips around, fury already building in her chest—only to see N standing there, holding the cable that had connected her.
Her optics widen in horror. “What did you do?” she screams, her voice raw with disbelief.
She spins back toward Techie, still slumped in their chair, their optics flickering with a new message.
ADMINISTRATOR LOCKOUT: SUCCESSFULDISK CLEANUP COMPLETE||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| 100%
The silence that follows is suffocating.
Uzi stares at the screen, then at Techie’s motionless form. Her shoulders tremble, her expression caught between disbelief and devastation. She failed.
N shifts, gripping the cable tightly as if he can somehow undo what he just did. “V, I—I couldn’t let you get erased too,” he stammers, barely above a whisper. “Losing both of you would just be… too much.”
V barely hears him. She is already at Techie’s side, dropping to her knees as the weight of it all crashes down. Her fingers dig into their arms as she shakes them, harder and harder, desperation creeping into her voice. “I can’t do this,” she chokes out. “Not again. Not again!”
And then, Techie’s system reboots.
Their optics flicker, the dull glow returning as their head tilts slightly.
“Hello,” they say, their voice eerily neutral. “Are you my new coworkers?”
Silence.
Uzi and N don’t move. V can only stare.
Because she knows. They all know.
Techie is gone. Completely erased.
V sits back, her arms falling limply to her sides as she gazes at the drone before her—not them, just an empty shell, stripped of everything that made them Techie. All that remains is the default programming of a Worker Drone.
How ironic.
All the destruction she has wrought, all the pain she has caused—and this is how the universe chooses to punish her. Not with fire, not with death, but with loss. Loss of something she only just got back.
N had forgotten his past. But she never had. She remembered everything. She knows exactly what she has done. And yet…
Here she is.
With a slow, weary exhale, she rises to her feet.
She takes one last look at the drone sitting before her, their optics scanning the room in vague curiosity.
What’s the point in fighting anymore? Cyn will win. She always wins.
She reaches out, her hand trembling as she places it against their cheek. A tiny crackle of static sparks between them.
The moment their metal touches, Techie’s visor glitches, their entire body shuddering violently.
V steps back in shock as the drone collapses, crashing to the floor in a twitching heap.
Even in her last act of comfort, she’s managed to kill something. How tragically ironic.
Your optics flutter open as your systems jolt back to life, rebooting in a rush of energy. The world around you sharpens into focus, bright and overwhelming, as everything comes flooding back at once. It’s disorienting—the sheer weight of your memories crashing over you like a tidal wave. You try to sit up, your joints stiff and unresponsive at first, but you push through the discomfort. Blinking rapidly, you take in your surroundings.
Uzi and N are standing in front of you, their expressions twisted in confusion, eyes locked onto you as if they’re unsure whether to believe what they’re seeing. You glance past them, spotting V in the corner of the room. She isn’t looking at you. Instead, she stares off into space, her posture stiff, her face unreadable.
You turn back to Uzi, your voice hoarse and unsteady as you manage to speak. “Uzi? What… what the hell did you do to me?”
The reaction is immediate. Uzi’s eyes go wide, her whole body tensing. She sucks in a sharp breath, realization dawning in an instant—you remember her. Her shock is evident, but before she can respond, something else happens.
V moves.
Before you can react, she is suddenly in front of you, grabbing you by the shoulders and lifting you off the ground. The intensity in her yellow optics burns into you as she stares, searching your face with a desperate kind of urgency. “Techie?!” Her voice is sharp, demanding, almost frantic. She scans your expression as if looking for a glitch, for some kind of mistake.
Your body tenses at the sudden force, and you struggle slightly in her grip, groaning in protest. “Yes! It’s me! Please put me down.”
For once, she listens. She sets you down on your feet, a significant improvement over her usual habit of just dropping you. Your legs feel unsteady, but you manage to stay upright, adjusting to the sensation of simply being again.
V wastes no time. “Do you remember everything?” she asks, and something in her tone makes your systems freeze for a second.
Everything.
The word echoes in your mind, and suddenly, it all hits.
Your life—your entire life—rushes back to you in an instant, slamming into your consciousness with the force of a collapsing building. It’s overwhelming, the sheer amount of it, so much that it feels like your head might split open from the sheer pressure. Your time as a drone, your time as a human, all of it returns in a flood, every emotion, every experience, every loss, every joy. The weight of an entire existence, something you hadn’t even fathomed regaining, comes crashing down with relentless intensity.
You stagger slightly, your fingers twitching as you try to process the sudden influx of knowledge. It’s too much all at once, the past and present colliding in a way that makes your head spin. Every moment, every decision, every version of yourself that you thought was lost—it’s all here. You’re here.
And you have no idea what to do with it.
Your voice catches in your throat, your entire system struggling to process the sheer weight of what’s just returned to you. You force out a breath, trying to steady yourself, but even that feels like too much. "I... I remember..." The words are shaky, barely more than a whisper. "I remember everything..."
Your optics flicker slightly as a name slips from your mouth. "Cyn..."
At that, Uzi's entire posture shifts. Her expression tightens, and a look of realization flashes across her face. It’s like she had momentarily forgotten why any of this was happening—why they had gone through all of this in the first place. But now, with that single name spoken aloud, it all comes rushing back.
"Nope," Uzi says, cutting off whatever breakdown you’re about to have. "We’re putting the 'my entire life is a lie' crisis on hold. We need to leave. Now."
You barely have time to react before a glow ignites around her hand. That same energy surges outward, wrapping around you before you can so much as blink. The room distorts, reality twisting and folding in on itself, the world around you shattering like a fractured mirror. The force nearly knocks you off your feet as everything warps.
Then—nothing.
Except cold.
Your optics adjust to the sudden change in lighting, and you realize you’re no longer inside. The facility, the walls, the floor—all of it is gone. Instead, you're standing outside, the frozen wasteland of Copper-9 stretching out in every direction. Ice crunches beneath your feet, the wind biting against your frame. The brutal cold is nothing new, but the suddenness of it leaves you reeling.
You barely have time to process what just happened before you see them.
Standing in front of you, unmistakable even through the swirling snow, is Doll. Next to her is J—her arms crossed, her expression unreadable. And beside them...
A woman.
You don’t recognize her. She’s clad in a space suit, her helmet obscuring most of her features, but there’s no doubt about it, she’s human.
Your mind races, trying to grasp onto something—anything—that could make sense of this. Your eyes dart to the nametag on her chest.
Tessa.
What the actual hell is happening?

Destroyer - Thorns
(Masterlist)
(Content: physical abuse, verbal abuse, living weapon whump, degredation, dehumanization)
Weeks passed, the majority of them spent upon the freshly mobilized battleship. Paris had named it Thorn, but in every briefing it was translated to “Splinter”. He’d wanted to move away as quickly as possible, but the ship was being pulled back into the bay for repairs every other day. The typical ambiance of the active craft was now frequently punctuated by the sound of construction. It grew worse by the day, just as bad for the passengers as it was for their enemies. Paris learned to sleep through the depressurization alarms.
Delta was adjusting to the new space. His new room was smaller than his previous one, but it was still spacious. Beyond that, he was often allowed to leave it. Paris said he wanted to know where Delta was all hours of the day, in theory, but he often so busy he forgot to check up. It was the most freedom of moment Delta had been given in a long time. He walked the ship’s floors silently, haunting it. The people aboard know who he was and they left him alone. He was glad.
When they did eventually get the ship up and running, capable of more than sprints, most of the crew had already been debriefed on the new management. Delta had received training from the maid service in some basic housekeeping tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and sewing. For some reason, this greatly upset both his handlers. Simon saw it as a waste of Delta’s time, while Martino saw it as undignified for his rank. The latter confused Delta; it was the only time the doctor ever seemed to care about his dignity. Nevertheless, they convinced Paris that it wasn’t right for Delta to be used as some interchangeable staff. Paris relented, agreeing that Delta would only serve him and his court, keeping all things within the dynasty.
The upshot of this was that Delta spent a lot more time in proximity of Paris - and was kept under much closer watch. Paris did not always need or even want him around, but much of Delta’s day was structured around this arrangement. By the first month, they’d settled into a tentative schedule.
When Paris didn’t have any mission in mind, which was most days, Delta was dismissed to go train. He’d find Dr.Martino, who would run the first round of tests on him, checking vitals and his blood chemistry, seeing how conductive his veins were to the electricity that pulsed through them. Then, he got passed onto Simon to run drills.
The psionic drills had to be done in a closed environment. On the ship, they had to go for low intensity, so as not to cause damage to the hull. But Simon made up for it, forcing Delta to do high-precision and high-focus work. An exercise that Simon had grown very fond of was having Delta stick blades into the walls, arranging them in different shapes. It required him to focus and manipulate dozens of blades at once and move them independently, without causing them to crash into each other. It also required forceful stabbing, which was a good skill to have at that point.
It wasn’t the kind of outburst that would cause him to faint, but it did exhaust him. Simon would force him to go at it for several hours, stopping at his own leisure, never Delta’s. He’d only be released in the late afternoon. Before, Simon would take the time to tutor him, but now lacked both the resources and the energy. He still gave Delta any books he thought he would need, which would have been fine if he had the time to read them. Delta barely had enough time to eat before Paris would summon him again.
Paris called him into his room or into his office. He’d order Delta to kneel and keep him there most of the night. If Paris was busy, Delta would sit in silence, nothing more than an ornament for the room. Paris would smack him if he fidgeted too much, but that was all.
“I should make you wear a bell,” He joked whenever Delta couldn’t hold still. Delta, of course, did not see the point of this. It was on nights where Paris had nothing better to do that he got his explanation.
On slow nights, Paris would rake his fingers through Delta’s hair, placing them at the base of his neck. Delta shivered at the touch, which would only cause Paris to tighten his grasp. Paris looked over him like he was an insect, a mix of contempt and curiosity. His voice was low.
“I know what you’re doing.”
Delta didn’t respond, which was all the confirmation Paris needed. He took a fistful of Delta’s hair, yanking him closer. He tsked, “There’s that fucking face again. Admit it. You think you’re too good for this.”
Delta winced. There was no answer Paris would accept; he knew that. The whole point of this was to break him down. “I do, yeah,” Delta admitted, seconds before Paris smacked his head into the desk.
“Fuck,” Delta muttered to himself. Paris kicked him onto his back, not even moving from his desk chair.
“I knew it,” Paris smirked, crossing his legs, “It’s okay, though. It doesn’t matter what you think. You’re an object. The way you feel about your position has no bearing at all on the way you’ll act. You’re still gonna do what I say, right? Or I’ll have to remind you how this works?”
Delta rubbed his head, not looking at him. Stupid. Just an exercise in futility. He never needed reminding, never had. He couldn’t tell if the prince was actually that insecure or if he was just messing with him. It did not come off as a serious exchange. Paris was nothing like his father.
“Sit back up and fucking answer me,” Paris said.
Delta crawled back onto his knees. “Yes, Your Highness,” he answered wearily. Paris moved to slap him again and he flinched.
Paris withdrew his hand.
“Good. You’re dismissed.” He nodded. After a minute, he added. “Go put ice on that, I don’t want your face to swell.” .
“Yes, Your Highness,” Delta got to his feet, lightheaded. He brushed his hair back into place, sparing no further looks.

Ok so i just finished Arcane season 2 and I saw this post talking about how Piltover sucks for disability access and used Salo as a example because despite being on the council and piltover being so advanced his mobility aids isn't very advanced and he doesn't even have a proper ramp. While Sevika even before Jinx repairs her arm has a better more advanced mechanical arm.
It's not just Salo either. Jayce and Victor are in charge of so many new technologies to help people and they could think of nothing better than a cane for Victors leg before the hexcore vaporized skye to give him one?
My theory is Zaun between the lack of healthcare the mob fights and the enforcers doing the raids people very often end up with disabilities so when people get access to new technologies makes sense helping the large numbers of them that are disabled is a high priority for those interested in helping.
In Piltover by contrast disability is far less common. The two instances you see is Victor who is from Zaun initially and Salo where it was an attack that was highly uncommon for the city. And they are overlooked imo for economic advancements when they show Himendinger their advacenents with hextech they talking about improving efficiency of miners and artificers.
It's not till Victor is dying that they think to use Hex tech to save him. There was no push for Jayce or Victor to try to do things to improve Victors quality of life before that time even though they could and had the technology.
So naturally when Salo becomes disabled he too doesn't get much advanced tech. And without much focus on this population that may be struggling they end up creating a society that's not very inclusive. Once Ambessa no longer needs him Salo basically left alone to bedrot if he's a council member and not even the council room is wheel chair friendly then you can imagine the rest of the city isn't much better
Salo even says that he used to host the most lavish parties people would be excited to be on his guest list now they "avert their eyes" when he rolls by. So the people don't know how to accept him either.
And i started thinking on how Salo's story could have gone. In show at this point Lest tells Salo about the miracle healer Victor and Salo ends up basically brainwashed .
But imagine instead Lest said Zaun had some new advancements for mobility aids that may function better than what he has currently. Salo goes cuz why not they give him more mobility maybe even allow him to walk a bit. It's not like what Victor got he not going to be able to run but this is a big change for him. He still needs physical therapy tho and so he stays in Zaun for that with the people who understand that technology because they made it. But after physical therapy he finds himself getting involved in Zaun. Zaun is more accessible and no one thinks he's strange for his disability he doesn't stand out. He's not pitied. He just is .
After his treatment in piltover that must be refreshing and he's been so lonely that he welcomes the chance for more engagement. He begins getting along with zaunites more sympathizing with them. He stops seeing himself as so above them. He recognizes the humanity in them more and then uses his position to start advocating for them. And he supports Sevika when she is made a councilwoman .
I don't know if think it would have been a really interesting storyline.
It's kinda funny Salo isn't my fav character he isn't even in top 10. But I cant not see the potential.

Rewatched Cabin Fever for au reasons and OH MY GOD the ideas are flowing
The "we'll figure it out, together?" here and the "I need you to figure things out, together" in ep 7?? OH MY. FUCKING GOD MAN. THIS SHOW MAKES ME SO ILL YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND. OWW. FUCK
also I want V & Uzi to have like. A more positive relationship in my fuck around and find out au, (because TMNT just Changed Me like that, I need at least ONE pseudo-sibling bond) and this episode feels like an actual turning point for Vs character and yeah..... ARGGHHHHHH I can exploit this
ALSO. Yeah solver Uzi is always fun. Also theory time but I think I somewhat understand how she Got Like That
Using the solver puts a toll on the drones system → drone needs to cool down → if drone can't cool down, by consuming oil in this case, → solver activates Eldritch Mode to Aquire Oil™ → once cooled down the solver receeds
I think it's like that because the solver only started acting up after Uzi wasn't able to munch on that stolen arm cause V interrupted her. And she only NEEDED the arm because her CPU was overheating. So her system was like, "I guess it's eldritch time" and yeah.
ANYWAY THE POINT I WAS ACTUALLY TRYING TO MAKE, fuck around and find out au Uzi starts using the solver before the series events so I'm thinking the reason she travels to the corpse spire at first is to get that missing part for her rail gun, shoot one of the murder drones, and gather oil from some of the corpses there. Then she'd just retreat and wait out that 30 minute cool down while drinking some oil. But yeah..... That didn't work out just like in the pilot! Don't think N would think it's weird at the moment if Uzi munched on oil in the landing pod. Cause, y'know, that's what they do. He WOULD be weirded out and suspect something up post pilot tho. (Uzi definitely wouldn't tell any of them just because y'know. She isn't too keen to share the fact she probably has an eldritch horror ai in her systems)
Haven't rewatched EP 3 & 4 yet so I won't make any decisions yet. Instead I also wanna ramble about some other ways the solver fucks up Uzi's life;
Uzi needs an actual computer to repair herself properly. And sure, she has her own at the outpost, and those worked fine! But there's a stretch of time where their just Walking Around looking for something I'm yet to figure out, (I want to give the three of them, Uzi N and V a road trip arc for Bonding™) and Uzi can't just haul a whole ass double monitor computer around. So between the times they get to an actual computer, Uzi has to live with the solver fucking up her systems. I'm considering making it more different than just "fucked up voice". Maybe the Solver fucks with her mobility settings so she just can't fucking walk? Disconnect her visors so when they do get to a computer she needs to step by step guide N because She Can't Fucking See? I'm sure if these stacked up it'd be an absolute nightmare. Imagine you can't see and all your screams come out as garbled noise. And the only thing really keeping you company is the parasite trying to kill you.
#although im hesitant because i don't wanna like. make it a representation of a disability. because in that form its such a fucked up message#because uzi would be able to fix herself because SHE'S A ROBOT#and thats so distasteful for the actually disabled that may come across this au#and yeah i don't want that!!#so.#fuck around and find out au#murder drones v#murder drones n#n murder drones#scroll thoughts#md uzi doorman#murder drones uzi#murder drones

Developing the guys; C.A.B.S. edition
brief introductions to characters featured in this post;
Roger D. Cheeto Sr.; Generally gloomy and distant, has lived well over 900 years due to a deal with his devil in his youth. Owner and operator of the world's most innovative biotech firm, specializing in mutagenic gene therapy and mass-production homunculi. Legally a father to the brothers despite their unnatural creation.
Juniper; Generally bubbly, a little obsessive over her husband. Stalker-turned-wife to Roger Sr., ran the Order of The Rotten Hand before corporate restructuring during the marriage officially incorporated them into C.A.B.S., she is legally the stepmother of the brothers.
Joseph D. Lazarus; Generally jovial and True Pope of the Vatican, publicly acting as leader of the secretive Jakob's Ladder combat-inquisitor detachment. Godfather and uncle to the brothers.
Gordon F. Cheeto; He's like if a golden retriever was a man. Roughly 8ft tall, skeletal structure cobbled together from various early hominids save for the skull. First activated in the 60s, spent every year since rotting in bandages until recovered and repaired in 2024, kept alive past the rot by a holy relic sealed in his chest.
Roger D. Cheeto Jr.; Generally kind of gloomy off-camera. Saint of Filth and Will of The New World, after completing the 14 miracles prophesized, he chose to break the cycle of the world resetting on August 1st, 2024, leading to the earth doubling in size as every additional dimensional layer overlaid on top merged into one planet. First activated in 2021 after 100 years spent gathering bones from 206 individuals, creating the most spiritually potent homunculus on earth, later shed the artificial body through one of his miracles to become a blood relative of Roger Sr.
Billy D. Cheeto; World's most passionate 12 year old. Anti-messiah conceptual weapon developed as a byproduct of Roger Jr.'s growth, initially conceived as a last resort. Due to a miracle, his own growing stable of power is unlinked from the middle brother's. Due to an unholy relic housed within his body, his form twisted during development into a satyr-like half-goat.
Which OC has done something that you, personally, find morally abhorrent?
ALL OF THEM!
except Gordon, Billy was being influenced at the time but he still did that shit
Which OC has to see a doctor regularly?
Gordon regularly has to go in for blood plasma transfusions and Billy has to go in every 6 months for bone position correction surgeries
How punctual is your OC?
Sr. and Joseph are early, Juniper and Gordon are usually on time, and the remaining brothers are often late, usually due to goofing around if they so happen to meet on the company trains before arriving at any meeting they are expected to be at.
What's the first thing your OC does when they wake up? What's the last thing they do before they go to sleep?
Juniper usually wakes Sr. up first thing in the morning and drags Sr. back to bed before she goes to sleep. There is no documentation supporting the theory that Joseph sleeps. Billy will usually look out the window upon waking up and read for 45 minutes before bed. Gordon starts the day searching for his walking stick and ends his day constructing a nest out of blankets on his bed. Jr. usually starts the day opening his window to allow fresh air in and ends his day by closing it.
Do any of your OCs use a mobility aid?
Gordon is incapable of maintaining an upright stance without the assistance of a walking stick, ensuring he does not slouch is vital because developing a replica of any of the discs in his spinal column would take months. He can climb and clamber with no problems, of course, owing to his physiology being closer to tree-dwelling early hominids, but he does not live in a world built for that body plan.
Nobody understands the motivation behind building his skeleton like this.
Is your OC the type of person who would return their shopping cart or not? Why?
They all return the shopping cart solely out of the most mundane of kindness, they know how frustrating it is to do a task that only exists because someone didn't do one small kindness that was very much expected of them, so they return the cart, make the workload a little easier for the man getting paid to collect them.
Which OC is in debt?
Roger D. Cheeto Sr. is in a form of debt to the Vatican so unknowable that there is no object of material or spiritual significance that can repay it.

Mar 29, 2025
[00:00:00] - Joe returns from Mexico and shares travel stories involving cheap booze and some sketchy logistics. The crew transitions into the release of JFK files, highlighting the disappointment that no conclusive “smoking gun” was revealed, despite Rep. Paulina Luna claiming NBC has unseen Oswald footage.
[00:10:00] - Speculation about the hidden Oswald footage continues. Talk turns to media cover-ups, the CIA’s possible involvement, and the suppression of controversial stories like Epstein. Then, the show pivots to bizarre headlines about robot dogs, AI homes, and MIT's proposal to use ethically-sourced human bodies in medical research.
[00:20:00] - The gang dives deep into the implications of lab-grown human bodies without minds—used for organ harvesting or testing. They joke about AI-human hybrids, but note the serious ethical red flags. References are made to China’s organ industry and the elite’s likely monopolization of such tech.
[00:30:00] - Continued discussion on "empty vessels" and the MIT article suggesting artificial wombs and AI integration. The idea of using cloned human shells without brains is dissected. Hosts mockingly suggest using these shells as “defective products” with customer complaints.
[00:40:00] - A strange true crime case is explored: Peter Bergmann, a man who meticulously erased his identity before dying mysteriously on an Irish beach. The situation mirrors Missing 411 cases—neatly folded clothes, strange behavior, water nearby—sparking theories about his intent and identity.
[00:50:00] - Theories swirl around Bergmann’s story: Was he terminally ill, a spy, or something else? Mike credits a Discord user for the tip. Then Joe shares a revelation: he’s come around on ancient pyramid theories and now believes in advanced prehistory and lost civilizations.
[01:00:00] - Comedy breaks enter with a satirical AI ad about the “George Droid,” packed with racial and corporate parody. They analyze how bizarre and well-produced these AI skits are becoming, connecting it to past stories like Hasidic Jews digging tunnels under a building in NY.
[01:10:00] - A political segment mocks Biden’s speech flubs and contrasts them with more articulate figures. The gang talks Tesla’s Democrat-heavy user base, leftist protests, and a satire piece on the Department of Imaginary Concerns by Scott Adams. Governmental overreach and absurdity are recurring themes.
[01:20:00] - Signal’s possible compromise sparks a chat about surveillance and government setups. They vent over bureaucratic waste, citing fraud and COVID relief abuse. Gavin Newsom’s home repair regulations are mocked to highlight nonsensical red tape and overregulation.
[01:30:00] - They unpack global population data, suggesting billions may be uncounted. The inaccuracy of rural census data is criticized, and theories emerge about shadow populations and manipulated demographics. They mention satellite and mobile data as better population estimators.
[01:40:00] - A wild story out of New Jersey breaks: a police chief accused of disturbing workplace pranks, including spiking coffee with Viagra, setting off firecrackers, exposing himself, and jabbing an officer with a needle. The crew debates the difference between pranks and criminal acts.
[01:50:00] - Another quirky tale: A Ford executive kept a 15-year-long spreadsheet of coworkers’ malapropisms and linguistic flubs, turning it into a leaderboard of grammar fails. They laugh at some of the worst offenses like “reinvent the ocean” and “broken drum.” It’s the nerdiest kind of office drama.
[02:00:00] - The show wraps up with musings on civil war hysteria, AI integration into society, and weird AI-assisted ramblings about eastern medicine. They joke about penis scandals, secret cybernetic creations, and speculate on how medicine and society are morphing in dystopian ways.

G Witch Onscreen Text: Episode 18
Yosh! Welcome to part 19 of my attempt to transcribe and discuss all the onscreen text that appears in G Witch, as well as talk about things I like episode by episode! We've reached episode 18, "Our Empty Selves."
Of course, if you're not ready to move forward, you can always return to Episode 17. << Here's Part 1 (PRE-DUEL) << Here's Part 2 (DUEL) Or you can run back to the Masterpost.
Being on this journey with you all has been so much fun! Shall we begin?
We open the episode on a shot of the Earth House MS Hangar. We can see that Aerial is, of course, missing, but we also see that Chuchu's Demi Trainer is still heavily damaged. Remember, at this point in the story, Earth House has seemingly completely run out of money for repairs.
Suletta and Ojelo are also attending a lecture on the use of Permet. Here's a transcription of what we hear of it:
"When Permet was discovered in minerals, its special information sharing properties became the basis for all these theories. Today, it's responsible for controlling and managing systems of every kind.
Suletta: Is it used in the monorail too?
"Yes. Permet links connect all the transit cars on campus to central dispatch. This prevents uneven data distribution..."
It's rather interesting how much the world of Ad Stella has come to rely on the use of Permet, despite its risks.
The next scene sees Suletta passing a Mobile Suit Exercise exam. (Left) It's most likely the same class we see in Episode 4, considering it's on the same testing sector, and requires both a mechanic and spotter. The exercise is similar to the latter half of the Mine Detection exercise from Episode 4, only with moving targets instead of stationary ones.
A fun thing to note is that Nuno is her Mechanic, but Till is also there, presumably as the Spotter (Bottom Left). This is because back in Episode 4, Till was the first person to offer to help her with the makeup exam as her Spotter (Bottom Right).
The scene with the Earth House students in the lunch room is also interesting. It doesn't directly parallel Season 1's lunchroom scene, (Left) but it's interesting to compare Chuchu's behavior in that scene versus her behavior in Season 2's lunchroom scene (Right)
She's the only Earth House member to appear in BOTH of them, and both scenes end with her confused about the actions of one of her friends. (In Season 1, it's why Nika just brushes off the harassment from the Spacian bullies, in Season 2 it's Suletta's cheerfulness in the face of Miorine abandoning her.)
She also doesn't say a word in Season 2's scene, whereas in S1 she's her usual abrasive, talkative self. I like that Chuchu can tell that something isn't right with what happened between Miorine and Suletta, but she just doesn't know what to do about it. It's not a problem she can punch a solution out of.
TEXT: SULETTA MERCURY WISH LIST WISH 017: EAT LUNCH IN THE SCHOOL CAFETERIA WITH FRIENDS WISH 018: RAISE HAND IN CLASS IN A COOL WAY WISH 019: MEET WITH FRIENDS TO GO TO AND FROM SCHOOL WISH 020: BUY AND EAT A SNACK AFTER SCHOOL WISH 021: CELEBRATE A BIRTHDAY PARTY WITH FRIENDS WISH 022: GO SHOPPING WITH FRIENDS
Suletta also shows us more of her wishlist in this scene. Of the ones we see, all of them have been checked off, except Wish 21: "Celebrate a birthday party with friends."
Ah...sorry, Suletta... (Though, I wish we got to see Suletta and her friends go shopping too..)
Episode 18's intro gives us our next two changes to the OP. Before Episode 18, in the scene where Guel stands up and walks away, he's still in his tattered work clothes, walking away from the camera in the camp on Earth (Right). But now, he stands up in his Asticassia uniform, and confidently strides towards the camera on the school campus (Left).
This also changes the Splash of him, Shaddiq, and 5lan at the end. Before (Bottom Right) Guel was standing in the far back, facing away from the camera, with Shaddiq and 5lan in front. But now, it's Guel who's in front, with 5lan and Shaddiq standing behind him (Bottom Left).
In the scene where we get our first real look at the Schwarzette, Prospera states that she shared Gundam technology with Vim before Shin Sei was acquired by GUND-ARM.
If you'll remember back in Episode 3, (Right) Prospera gave Vim a flashdrive as thanks for his assistance with the witch trial. Considering that it looks like the exact same kind of flashdrive that she handed to Delling, the one that contained Aerial's Permet 6 data, it's not unreasonable to assume that this held the GUND Format Data that allowed Vim to continue work on the Schwarzette. (I guess that makes the Schwarzette and Aerial sisters?)
The Haro Navigation System Ver 3.0 that Prospera is using is very cute. She's so goofy.
Anyway, something interesting to note about this scene is that this is the first time the track "Jeturk House" plays in the series after it's used in Guel's Introduction all the way back in Episode 1.

TEXT: (Left) GUNDNODE (XGF-E3) HEADHEIGHT - 18.9m WEIGHT 44.1t
(Right) MS-type GUND-Bit - GUNDNODE MODEL NUMBER - XGF-E3 EQUIPMENT - BEAM REV RIFLE / BEAM BLADE
-An MS-type GUND-Bit for use with a data storm network - Whether one machine or several, it can support the expansion of AERIAL's data storm. - The purpose of the GUNDNODE network is to automatically defend and support the AERIAL in the most optimal way, by responding the enemy attacks and sharing stored tactical information.
Our first look at the GUNDNODEs that are employed to defend Quiet Zero. An interesting thing about this scene is that when Godoy talks to Bel about it, he says, "Applying parallel distribution is your specialty. We'll continue to rely on you."
Based on the name, I assume that "Parallel Distribution" is in reference to permet based information, specifically, it's what allows a mobile suit/mobile suit pilot to control multiple instances, like GUND-bits, simultaneously and synchronously.
Regardless of what it means, I think it's really interesting how it seems like it's something Prospera can't do, or at least, do very well, which is why she flushed out and enlisted Bel to assist her with it.
During Shaddiq and Prospera's meeting, he slides this file on the attack and recovery of the Ur and Thorn. From what I can make out it looks interesting, but the text is so GOD damn small I can barely put it together.
I definitely enjoy this scene between the two of them. At this point, Prospera is definitely onto the idea that Shaddiq might be in cohorts with the Dawn of Fold.
The meeting is about Shaddiq enlisting her help in his bid for president, but she asks him about the failed recovery of the Ur and Thorn, hoping he'll take the bait.
And he DOES. Think about his explanation here. "It seems they had built-in self-destruct protocols." The Ur and Thorn are basically carbon copies of the base Lfrith model with extra permet processors and weapons taped onto it. The original code is most likely barely changed, so if they had "self-destruct protocols," Prospera would KNOW that, because she was the one who WROTE the fucking thing.
She asks him why he wouldn't try to obtain one in a damaged state, and when he doesn't have a response, she doubles down, asserting that their recovery might "cause him some inconvenience."
Look at the way she's sitting here. That confident ass smirk. She's got him dead to fucking rights, and now that she's ascertained Shaddiq's involvement with the DOF, we see in real time her heel turn.
Earlier in the episode, before that talk, Prospera recommends Miorine promote the Schwarzette as a cooperation between GUND-ARM and Jeturk, because at this point, the presidential race is still a rather important facet in her plan. Quiet Zero is nearly fully complete, but she still needs to buy more time to locate and destroy the origin of the Lfrith models.
But after her talk with Shaddiq the goal has changed. As of now, the outcome of the presidential race means nothing. Now that she's linked Shaddiq to the DOF, she's most certainly had Godoy look into HIM, and discovered his connection to the Space Assembly League, and thus, Ochs Earth. And just like that, the origin of the models has been confirmed, and so they must be somewhere on Earth. Now the goal is to get to Earth as quickly as possible.
God I love her.
There's a lot I really like about this scene, so I'm gonna talk for a bit
(Top Row) It's really sweet how Chuchu is accompanying Suletta here. She's really come to care for her, and is truly worried about her. I also really like how clear it is that Chuchu knows something about Miorine's abrupt change just doesn't add up. They've been friends for months now at this point. Something's wrong, but whatever it is is beyond her, so she's just confused.
(Middle Row) It's so horribly unendingly sad to me that Suletta believes that it's her fault. She says that SHE broke their promise, despite Miorine telling her TO HER FACE that she made her lose on purpose. Suletta has a bad habit of assuming that if something goes wrong, it must be her fault. She never ever lets herself assume anything other than the best of the people she loves. I'm glad Chuchu was there to tell her that that's wrong.
(Bottom Row) When Lauda walks up to make fun of Suletta and thank Chuchu, take careful notice of Felsi and Petra's faces as they walk beside him. Usually when those two follow the Jeturk brothers here, they join in on taunting Miorine or Suletta, but in this scene they're quiet, and are looking at Lauda with concern. Given the nature of the story at this point (and the fact that Petra eventually makes an effort to befriend Suletta) I don't think either of them particularly like that Lauda is being so needlessly caustic to her in this scene. (I like the Jeturk brothers but on god somebody should've beat his ass for this shit I'm so serious.)
In this scene, Norea is sketching a dead bird and some dead moths. (From memory...??) Something also fun to note is that the pencil she's using is sharpened haphazardly, as if with a knife. She does have a knife, but considering she only ever attacks 5lan with the pencil, it would make sense if the Grassley girls confiscated it at some point.

(Right) GUND-ARM Inc. CEO: MIORINE REMBRAN 19 SUPPORTER BREAKDOWN - Delling's Base of Support: 88% - Other: 12%
As 5lan explains that he's not the original Elan, we get a shot of the current forecast for the Benerit Group Election.
We can see that Shaddiq is leading by a WIDE 62 point margin, having the backing of Peil behind him. We can also see that a majority of the non-main Benerit Companies are also supporting his campaign as well.
Miorine is far behind, her support mainly consisting of Delling's hard-liners. It's not looking too good!

We also see Elan Ceres' Peil Grade Evaluation. He's a true wunderkind, having recieved Top Grades in nearly every category, except for MS Pilot Evaluation, having a pretty abysmal rank in both phases of the test. That's why Peil needed to create backup pilots for him, he couldn't do it himself, even if he wouldn't be piloting a Gundam.
I'm not sure what the text at the very bottom means, but we see that they're dated from A.S. 109 - 112, which is interesting, considering that these dates are 10+ years before the start of the story.
Considering that we don't see any Peil employees in the Prologue, this means A.S. 109 might be the earliest date we can assume that Peil was operating.
Another interesting thing is that in the very bottom right of the screen, Kao - Lin AI.SYS - RST is written.
In real life, Kaolin is a clay material, most famously used in creating porcelain. But, although I can't directly prove it's an intentional reference, there's actually a Gundam character named Kao Lyn, a scientist and Gundam developer from Superior Gundam Defense Force. Which would definitely be an interesting pull for this scene, seeing as Superior Gundam Defense Force seems to be a generally lighthearted children's cartoon...
When the Benerit Gang watches the All Front News Network Broadcast, there are 3 different headlines that appear over the footage.
TEXT (Left) WHY HAVE TENSIONS IN QUINHARBOR ESCALATED INTO WIDER MILITARY CONFLICT? Space front economy suffers new blow from anti-Spacian terrorism

(Right) BENERIT SECURITY FORCES ANNOUNCE INTENSIFIED ANTI-RIOT ACTIONS IN QUINHARBOR Teenage casualties as Spacian security forces clash with anti-Spacian group
I think one of the most interesting things we see on the broadcast is a mention of a "Drone War Era" that (presumably) occurred at some point on Earth. We never hear anything about this specific era other than this headline, but it would explain a lot about the history of tension between Spacians and Earthians. Perhaps this Drone War was one of the wars Delling himself fought in.
The next scene sees Lauda quietly walking through the halls of Jeturk House, passing by a conversation between some students about Guel. It's a short scene, but it's here where we see why Lauda said those hurtful things to Suletta earlier on in the episode.
After Guel ran away, Lauda took over as the defacto leader of Jeturk House, and then after the death of his father, became the CEO of Jeturk Heavy Machinery, and, in nicest possible terms, did not do a good job in either respect. That's not his fault per say, he wasn't prepared to take on either of those roles, but the fact remains that no matter how hard he tried, he failed miserably.
Then Guel returns, takes over for Lauda as CEO, defeats Suletta and reclaims his title as holder (remember that a majority of people do not know that the battle was rigged) and then leaves the school with Miorine to focus on reviving the company.
What Lauda is struggling with here is the realization that he needs Guel, but Guel does not necessarily need him. One of the things the students say is, "When you've got it, you've got it." and someone replies, "And you've got nothing, right?" Guel successfully did in one moment everything Lauda was struggling and failing to do for months while he was gone.
"Nobody needs you anymore, you empty Mercurian wench," is what he says to Suletta, but he only said that because deep down he's the same as her. Miorine may have abandoned Suletta, but in much the same way, Guel abandoned him.
It's not something they explicitly say, but remember that in many of Guel's duels in the show, (and presumably many of his duels before the show begins) Lauda was always watching and advising him. He's empty without him.
When Feng confronts Bel, two different screens appear on her phone.
TEXT (Left) BENERIT GROUP BENERIT GROUP FRONT ENTRY PERMIT

Name: ANNO WONG

(Right) SPACE ASSEMBLY LEAGUE INVESTIGATION DIVISION FENG JUN ID number: 0329-047-A-015
The most interesting thing here is that Feng seemed to be going by a fake name during her investigation, that being "Anno Wong."
The whole scene in the Counseling Room is really funny to me because if you think about it for a second all of the possible conclusions you can draw from it are great.
This is a fake counseling room, and Secelia purposefully set it up so she can listen to people's personal problems for...blackmail purposes???
This is a real counseling room, and the students of Asticassia are expected to seek therapy from...HAROs...? (Or specifically, the HARO is just something to speak to, and the therapist is sitting in the room behind the door.)
This is a real counseling room, and Secelia is an official student counselor at Asticassia, but is just fucking with Martin specifically because she thinks it's funny. (She DOES give him good advice in the end !)
Some more fun things to point out in the next scene
I said it previously, but I really enjoy that Rajan heavily disapproves of Miorine's decision. (Left) He doesn't want this life for her!
Also, when I first watched the show, I kind of didn't understand Guel's shocked reaction to Captain Kenanji. (Right) It took me a couple of rewatches for it to finally click in my head!
Remember that originally, Guel was going to Asticassia in the hopes of eventually becoming the next "Ace Pilot of Dominicus." That title probably originally belonged to Kenanji in the past, what with him being the legendary pilot who defeated Vanadis' Gundams. (In Episode 12, one of the Dominicus workers says that he was, "an ace pilot.")
So Guel probably spent his whole life idolizing Kenanji, wanting to be an ace pilot like him, but also probably never met him in person. So he definitely wasn't expecting his childhood hero to be a goofy silly fat guy.
C'mon Guel don't be mean you JUST beat the misogyny allegations.
There's a lot that could be said about Ericht's conversation with Suletta, but this post is already long enough, so I'll just talk about this one thing
In this scene, Eri uses "boku" (僕) as her personal pronoun (I/Me). Boku is traditionally an informal male pronoun, and when used by a female character in anime, it's usually meant to imply that they're a bit of a tomboy. (This is different from her appearance as a child in the prologue, where she doesn't actually use a personal pronoun. When she refers to herself, she just uses her name, "Eri," for the pronoun, which is a childlike thing to do.)
Following that line of logic, you'd probably assume Chuchu uses boku too, but she doesn't actually ! She uses "asshi" (あっし).
Asshi is an informal contraction of Watashi (私). It's an archaic term that was primarily used in the Edo period, and is said to have been primarily used by workers and craftsmen. Do you get it? She uses asshi because her family back on earth are Mobile Craftsmen.
Prospera cares about Suletta, but she cares about Eri more. In her heart, the only way for her to be happy is for her to be free. She served her purpose.
Hooh! That's finally everything! This one was SUUUUPER long huh? Thank you for reading all the way through my rambling! Bet you didn't expect a history lesson on an ancient Japanese pronoun huh? Neither did I! (I had half a mind to make a list of all the personal pronouns the major characters use but I held back....)
As a parting gift, I guess I'll talk about onnneeee last thing
I always wondered why Suletta wasn't created to be a perfect copy of Eri like the rest of the Children of the Coven, but I think I understand. If Suletta was a perfect copy of Eri, she would have shared Eri's inability to survive in space. The rest of the repli-children could be perfect clones because they didn't have to worry about having physical bodies, but in order for Suletta to survive, she needed to be augmented to have a stronger physical constitution. Prospera traded Suletta's immunity to the data storm to give her a stronger physical body.
Okay done for real now. Bye bye!

How do you think 1 feels about Black Hole?
After all, he's the one that seems to be the biggest threat to their plans so far
(Sucking up their hurricane, repairing the crack in the sky after 1 made it easier for everyone else to damage everything)
Hi!!
I've actually kicked this around in a server the other day, but I'd be a little disappointed if Black Hole never meets One. It depends on One's true motive of course, buuuut..
Black Hole is equally a powerful potential ally and a tough nut to crack. Not only has BH had a large role in stopping the calamities One sends, he's a calamity himself.
One is also fully aware of his fear of killing others. IIRC she's hiding in his dream, too. If not that, it's pretty obvious anyway. Imagine, something born to consume worlds and all he wants to do is play a game with his friends.
BH is a powerful being with a critical weakness, and I'm sure One would be ALL over that. My main theory is she'll use the crack BH is managing against him. No doubt she can just make it worse if BH says no.
From how things are going, I think Black Hole would have to be eliminated before that can happen. DPYA is up as of this ask, so it's possible?
Overall, I added Black Hole to my One drawing because I thought it would be neat and also to add to my possible theory. If I'm wrong and he never makes a deal with One, then he'll just look cool on her mobile.
#tpot 15 spoilers#ill come back to this ask if anything happens#it would also be interesting to see Fanny talk about One to her team#we might lose her too so who can say

Have you considered getting a standard manual wheelchair and taking off the footrests so you can self propel with your legs? If cycling works well for you, foot propelling may also be an option, and a standard chair is likely more affordable than a scooter. Totally get that there might be other factors at play eliminating that option, just curious.
I see how that could help and I have joked that the ideal mobility aid for me would be a wheelchair with bike peddles.
I could in theory do the self propelled chair but there are some factors in the way of that, mainly: I'm rather large and big back friendly chairs are more expensive.
I use a 1990ish pashley picador which only cost me about £150, its only the recent repairs that have increased the cost of it and those were mainly due to wear and tear. (My wheels were like 30 years old lol)
My mum keeps finding alot of foldable scooters on marketplace so I hope we can find one soon
Good suggestion tho 👌

I’ve been listening to lectures for a course titled “Understanding Human Emotions” by Dr. Lawrence Ian Reed, a Clinical Professor of Psychology at New York University.
Notes for lecture 1 here.
Below are my highlights, notes and reactions to lecture 2.
[In square brackets are thoughts/notes I jotted while listening]:
This lecture focuses on how evolution pertains to human emotions
Professor Reed opens with a quote from the biologist George C. Williams: “Is it not reasonable to anticipate that our understanding of the human mind would be aided greatly by knowing the purpose for which it was designed?”
Evolutionary theory provides a framework for describing the functions—that is, the purposes—of our emotions and the problems they were designed to solve
This will help us to understand why we feel different emotions in different scenarios
Evolution operates at the level of the gene, not the individual carrying the gene
Reed offers a useful thought experiment to help understand this: Imagine you wanted to survive until the year 2400. You want to create a cryogenic capsule to preserve your body for the next few centuries. But in the ensuing decades, your capsule (and your body within it) might be tampered with or destroyed. There are two possible engineering solutions.
First, you can go off and find a quiet area to place your capsule, and hope that no one will harm it or you after you enter it and go to sleep for a few hundred years. This is analogous to what plant life does.
The second strategy is more complex and pricier, but you don’t have to worry about your body being tampered with or destroyed. You can create a mobile cryogenic unit. You add sensors and early warning devices. With these additions, you can evade danger and make repairs. This is analogous to what animal life does.
You build the mobile unit, and you program it not to benefit itself, but rather to benefit you. Any program it executes prioritizes you rather than itself. Any path it takes will, on average, serve your interests in order to ensure your survival. You are the sole purpose of this robot. After all, you’re your interests will usually align, though not always. Generally if the robot survives a perilous skirmish, you would survive too.
Reed asks: How would you design this robot? You’d likely want it to have vision, senses, feelings, selfishness, algorithms, heuristics, etc.
Now imagine others also want to live until the year 2400, and they also build robots equipped with devices and algorithms to benefit their own survival.
This thought experiment helps us to understand the perspective of the gene. Genes are not conscious entities; they merely replicate themselves. From our point of view as humans—as intentional beings—we use intentional language as a shorthand to comprehend how they operate.
[It comes naturally for humans to attribute mental states like intentionality to non-conscious entities.]
[Goals do not need to be consciously understood by an entity to be effective. Goals do not need to be internally represented at all. For instance, single-celled organisms swim toward nutrients without any awareness or understanding of the reason for their behavior. But as humans—as intentional beings who evolved in a highly social environment with other conscious beings—we use language like “It is ‘seeking’ sustenance”
One of Darwin’s enduring insights is that nature “chooses” which traits survive each generation (again, intentional language is just a shorthand way of communicating the idea of natural selection). Those traits that best aid in survival and reproduction are more likely to be “chosen,” that is, survive and be passed on to offspring.
Darwin found that organisms that were best adapted to their surroundings were the most likely to leave descendants
[When evolution has to make tradeoffs between survival and reproduction, reproduction usually wins. Traits that aid reproduction can inflict costs on survival: The ovarian hormones that make women fertile when young increases odds of breast cancer later in life. Testosterone tends to boost men's attractiveness when young but raises odds of prostate cancer later in life.]
[Imagine an organism highly adapted to its environment that has a long life but never reproduces (perhaps it’s unable to attract a mate or uninterested in doing so). It will not pass on its genes. Now imagine an organism that is moderately adapted to its environment, lives long enough to reproduce, and then dies. This second organism will pass on its genes.]
[The currency of evolution is reproduction. Every one of your ancestors managed to reproduce. They form an unbroken chain dating back billions of years. The drive to reproduce is fundamental. Evolution doesn’t “care” that much about survival. It “cares” primarily about reproduction. A trait that damages survival can still spread if it aids in reproduction. Risk-taking, for example, might put an animal in increased physical danger and thus greater odds of death. But if risk-taking is also, on average, associated with obtaining access to reproductive partners, or impressing reproductive partners, then this trait can still spread.]
The reproductive rates of organisms are not “random.” Rather, nature “selects” those best able to cope with the environment. Organisms unable to cope with the environment have few or no offspring.
[Evolutionarily, one reason human males exist is we have higher reproductive variance—more males than females don’t reproduce and die—the idea is these males carry more mutations, are less adapted to their environment, less likely to be chosen for reproduction by females, and leave no descendants. Males are basically the garbage collectors of negative mutations in the species. Throughout history, far more men died childless compared with women.]
Due to genetics, parents tend to have offspring similar to themselves. Any advantages that allow an organism to survive and reproduce are frequently passed on to their children. Disadvantages, in contrast, are less likely to be passed on, because organisms that have disadvantageous traits tend to be selected less often for mating and reproduction.
Over many generations, natural selection shapes organisms to be well-adapted to their environment. Advantages become more common over time; disadvantages become less common over time or disappear entirely.
[This raises the question: Why has evolution retained a heterogeneity of different traits within the same species? Particularly with regard to humans. In other words, why do we not all have some fixed optimal set of attributes with regard to our personalities, mental and physical abilities, temperament, preferences, and so on? A large body of research in evolutionary biology and psychology suggests that evolution has not selected a singular optimal set of traits because no such set exists across all possible varied environments. For example, Personality A (e.g., proneness to behavioral expressions of rage) might be optimal in environment Y whereas personality B (e.g., strong impulse control) might be best suited for environment X. In evolutionary terms, there are no universal selection pressures to eradicate individual human differences among people across different environments.]
We have inherited adaptations from our ancestors that they used to solve recurrent problems in their environments.
[Our evolved traits benefited our ancestors. Our environments have changed much faster than our minds. Our emotional and cognitive architecture was, very roughly speaking, shaped for small-scale nomadic hunter-gatherer societies between 10,000-300,000 years ago. This is why evolutionary scientists focus on how our existing traits benefited our ancestors more so than humans in modern developed countries.]
These adaptations include foraging, mate choice, face recognition, heart rate regulation, predator vigilance, and so on.
These adaptations can be thought of as mental micro-programs. They are useful, but can create challenges if activated simultaneously and interfere with or nullify one another.
For example, sleep and flight from a predator require jointly inconsistent actions, calculations, and physiological conditions. Sleep is hard when your mind and your heart are racing. This is not just by chance. Your mind and heart need to race if you believe it is likely a predator is nearby.
To resolve these disputes between mental micro-program (in this example, sleeping vs. fleeing from a predator), the mind is equipped with superordinate programs to direct these adaptations. These superordinate programs can inhibit and activate different adaptations depending on the circumstances. This is what emotions are. Emotions are superordinate programs that exert control over our mental and behavioral adaptations.
An emotion is a superordinate program that controls the minds many micro-programs—attention, memory, learning, goal choice, motivational priorities, categories and conceptual frameworks, and so on.
For example, if you hear strange voices in your house in the evening, you’ll feel the emotion of fear. Suddenly, your hearing improves. The main priority is safety. Any other goals and the subsystems that serve them are deactivated. You might be hungry. You might be sleepy. You might be lonely or in physical pain. But when you feel fear, all of those things are subdued. You’re no longer worried about what you’re going to have for dinner, or getting ready for bed, or your lower back pain. Your information gathering programs also change. You’ll think about where your loved ones are. You’ll think about how to get help, or how to call the police, or where your nearest neighbors are. In addition to psychological changes, you’ll undergo physiological changes as well. Your blood will leave your digestive tract and enter your legs and muscles to enhance your strength and speed. Adrenaline will spike. Your heart rate will either increase or decrease depending on whether the situation calls for physical confrontation, fleeing, or immobility (sometimes described as fight, flight, or freeze).
Our various emotions such as anger, sadness, disgust, shame, and so on all activate in response to different situations, and evolved in order to improve our ancestors’ likelihood of surviving and reproducing.
[Emotions evolved because they generally work to confer evolutionary benefits to organisms, helping us to ultimately increase the likelihood of survival or reproductive capacities. For example, under an evolutionary framework, the emotion of happiness is not an end goal; it is a means to an end. The things that made us happy in the ancestral environment were typically things that benefited our likelihood of survival and reproduction. A successful hunt, locating a source of honey, eating, obtaining social allies, attracting romantic partners, having sex, having children, bolstering one’s status and respect, etc. Today, actions associated with accruing resources, satisfying fundamental needs like hunger and thirst, bolstering our esteem in the eyes of others, being thought of as attractive and desirable, being valued, etc. continue to make us happy.]
[Even negative emotions are functional. For example, shame and humiliation are emotions that evolved to track our social reputation. Feeling humiliated is evolutionarily adaptive, because it spurs us to avoid status-harming situations and behaviors in the future.]

Alright, wake up Honey. Time for my 10pm Rant about Splatoon Side Order Theory
Thank you for coming to my Impromptu TED Talk.
I want to see Side Order live up to Octo Expansion. O.E did some amazing things with the story and lore of Pearl & Marina and it would be a crying shame for them to shoot themselves in their foot by making Marina the main villain or god forbid force her into the role with Mind Control or bringing back an older already used vilian like Tartar or something. Marina is shown to be incredibly smart, especially with technology, so it would be hard to believe that she was used by someone else. And I'd hate to see any form of Hypnosis being used.. Since it just robs her character of importance and just makes her a 'reward' sort of like Callie from splatoon 2s story mode.
Side Note: For Splat2s base storymode, It would have been interesting to hear the two parts of the squid sisters have some sort of dialogue in that story. It's obvious that Marie cares about Callie to go to these lengths, but outside of some sparse moments in a handful of levels, we never see it in game outside of the final fight. It would have been interesting to have Callie be a much more present threat to the player in maybe the boss battles or something. It would've been really cool to maybe have her talking to Agent 4 throughout the final few levels to intimidate them and Marie would have some sort of reaction to it.
Honestly would hurt to see Marina be relegated to a 'damsel in distress' when it comes to Side Order. She deserves the agency and there's CLEARLY some theme going on with Marina in the tower itself. With the various imagery of Memcakes (the collectable from OE) being either made or packaged to go somewhere, and the fact that there's various bits of memories from Marina like the baby mobile, Children's toys like Wooden blocks, and specifically pink pianos being held in stasis or again, being transported somewhere.
Personally, I don't want there to be any big villain or world ending threat.
Here comes the big theory:I think it would be more interesting for the plot-point of her(Marina) choosing to stay in the Spire due to Sunk Coat Fallacy.
To me, it fits character more to be wrapped up in her managing and repairing the Spire to where she might as well be trapped in an endless flow of Micromanaging the well oiled machine she made. Rather than her being Trapped at the top of the place she might as well have built with her own two hands. Genuinely I think it would be an amazing idea for the main conflict being Pearl, Agent 8 and Acht be the ones to physically go over to Marina sort of like an Intervention. At least Pearl would understand that Marina didn't mean to hurt anybody, but their main concern would be her own physical and mental health since she's.. More or less walled off everything that isn't her work for the sake of keeping things running smoothly if at all. It would be hard to justify abandoning a project that you either put years of planning into(like the few years between splat 2 ending and… We'll, now) or something that Just ballooned so much in scope that it literally needs the constant maintenance and checkups for it to not collapse on itself.
She's probably spent a shit load of time and resources on something she clearly cares about for one reason or another (hopefully to help others). To actually guess as to what exactly the Spire does would be foolish since its less than a week away.
We even see the spire itself show signs of damage in that new trailer so there's probable chance that something unintended is happening if that wasn't obvious from how… Literally everything around it is dead and bleached sand and coral.
My reasoning is that Marina had some… Genuine concerns about the world falling into chaos in splat 2. She felt rightfully scared that she'd never see Pearl again if there wasn't some sort of order with the world. So thats my best guess.
But I know this.. Well, won't happen due to how the main Side Order Trailer starts with the player character of Splat 3 falling asleep On a train. And the fact that the description of the DLC describes it as a 'What If' scenario if Order one the Final Fest. So I'm fully expecting things to be as non-cannon as can be if I'm lucky.
Side Topic Act II:I don't want the reward to be another playable species.. Since the main draw of Octo expansion Was the octolings, a feature people wanted since the beginning.. It would Really suck for there to be something like 'Salmon-lings' since the Salmon in game have a… Shit ton of lore dedicated to then as an entirely different society with unique well, everything. So to go back on that design for a basic looking humanoid salmon.. Thing, would again.. Be shooting themselves in the foot. I think the big reward other than Inkopolis Square, would be the various weapon skins. It looks like every main weapon in the game, or at least slot of them, have some sort of Prototype version that's used in the Spire simulations. And I'd imagine that beating the Spire with that weapon, unlocks that skin for multi-player use. Not as a separate weapon, but as a literal togglable thing for the weapon you already have. It would be that extra bit of motivation to play with the weapon you enjoy to get a unique variant of it or something. That, and the option to tint your fingers and tentacles. Since Color is another big theme with Side Order. And it's another thing people have been wanting since the 2nd game.

Time for Chapter 2! But first,
Pre-Chapter 2 Upgrades:
Excellence Cosmodriver
HP: 3800 -> 3990 Armor: 950 -> 997 Weapons: 0 -> 1
We enter Chapter 2 with 6500 left over, as i didn't really feel like spending more just yet.
I also gave everyone a Repair Kit (as we had 4), Amuro and Raul a Propellant Tank (recovers all EN, given to them even though both have ways of recovering EN otherwise since the Fairies and the Mega Beam Cannon are important to have online often), and Bright and Kayra get the 2 Cartidges (recovers all Ammo).

Making mecha designer small talk with Mizuho, Amuro asks about the Excellence and its modular nature. Mizuho says that she went with that type of design since as a test machine, they couldn't really produce it in bulk; but by giving it various frames, that single unit would have a lot of versatility. From one designer to another, Amuro admits he'd like her opinion on his designs for the v Gundam, the next Gundam unit, and one made especially for his personal use.

Changing the topic, it seems Astonaige finally noticed that the Excellence's cockpit can separate and turn into a fighter. Hey, doesn't the very first Gundam also do that? Of course, Amuro points out, those "Mazinger" robots also ended up using a similar concept.

Elsewhere in the hangar, Raul and Raj check up on the Excellence. The Timeflow engine is doing fine, but Raj worries; even if things are fine for now, with how uncertain their future is, if Raul gets the core block of the Excellence seriously damaged, who knows if they'll even be able to arrange for a facility where they can do extensive repairs. Raul says that, worst case scenario, they have a spare Argent Fighter, but it's not smart for them to let their guard down just because of that; the core of the Excellence is far harder to maintain than the frames.

Suddenly, Kayra barges into the hangar; everyone is to head for the bridge immediately. Yes, even the Excellence trio.

Due to an emergency, there's been a change in the Ra Cailum's flight plan; instead of heading to Von Braun for supplies, they're heading to Fifth Luna, an asteroid used for mining operations. Neo Zeon is about to repeat a historical tragedy; they're going to drop it onto the Earth, much like the Colony Drops of the One Year War.
They reason their plan is to use repeated strikes on the Earth with celestial bodies to trigger a new ice age, as a longstanding theory of why the ice age came about was due to meteors striking the Earth. Isn't that what killed the dinosaurs?

Amuro: "No, the dinosaurs' extinction was due to Getter radiation. It's just that the meteor impacts happened at around the same timeframe, so people often confuse them."
this line belongs in the srw hall of fame. simply remarkable.

In any case, the Londo Bell's response is late due to the New UNE's lack of prudence. This is an emergency. As such, Bright asks the Excellence crew if they can rely on their assistance for this operation. Mizuho goes ahead and accepts for us, but Raj isn't as enthusiastic, and wants to remind everyone that the Excellence is just a test machine... but Bright reiterates that right now, the Londo Bell needs any help they can get their hands on.

Mizuho and Raj muse that they certainly didn't expect for the Excellence to be deployed in live combat so quickly. Well, the Moon base incident was live combat too, in a way, though definitely not an ideal debut.
Above all though, Raul sees that incident as an opportunity. Thanks to it, now they're about to face actual combat, on the frontlines of the war! If they do well here, it'll be an achievement no mock battle could offer them. Plus, it'll be great for testing if any parts of the Excellence's design don't hold up to the scrutiny of real combat. Raul's enthusiasm is firing up even Mizuho!

Raul: "Alright. We're going to build up the Excellence's resume."
The team's confidence renewed, Raul heads off to the strategy meeting.

Fifth Luna isn't usually a mobile station; for the purposes of their asteroid drop operation, they've installed nuclear pulse engines on it. As a result, those are the team's real target. If we can make it lose its momentum before it reaches the Earth's gravitational pull, it's nothing but a big rock floating in space. Of course, since the other side also knows this, their defenses will likely be at their thickest around said engines.
In short, our goal is to get within range of the thrusters in time, destroy them, and get out. If we take too long, even with the thrusters destroyed, the inertia combined with the Earth's pull will cause it to hit the earth regardless.

In the middle of the meeting, however, news reaches the Ra Cailum; there's been a coup d'etat at the Amaterasu Colony! What's more, the people behind the coup aren't with Neo Zeon. They're part of a wholly new insurrectionist group... the Martian Successors. What's more, many people within the ranks of the UNE have defected to their cause. As a result, we'll be even more shorthanded during our assault on Fifth Luna than we thought!

Amuro thinks this is fishy. The timing on these incidents... is it really just a bad coincidence? Raul reasons that coincidence or conspiracy, there isn't much they can personally do about it. All that matters is that they've got to stop that asteroid.
