Some semi-regular reminders.

I'm not Viv! I know her name is in the username, but I'm just a fan gathering all of her art into one place so it's more easily accessible. This blog is not official in any capacity and I have no connection to Viv herself or Spindlehorse.

I am also not a machine. When you submit requests, please try to use full sentences and treat me like a human being. Sending an ask that has nothing but the subject you're requesting makes me feel I'm being treated like a generator. Try to avoid asks that just say "2000s art" or "alastor" or "zoophobia." I tend to ignore these. I'm more than happy to take requests (I actually enjoy it) but please treat me with respect.

I do not respond to messages that just say "hi." If you want to contact me, please come with a prepared request, question, or subject. I won't be offended by you launching straight into what you're contacting me about. The reason most people do not respond to messages that just say "hi" is because it doesn't provide any insight into your reason for contacting. You also risk looking like a bot. It's always best to say hi + what you're messaging about.

This is also a reminder that this is a fan blog. I will block you if you expose my blog to communities or tags dedicated to anti or critical stances.

I'm neither a stan nor an anti. I'm a very, very average fan who likes to sit alone in the corner, organizing my blocks. This blog is not here for the glorification or damnation of Viv or her work. It's only here to catalogue the artwork of a specific artist and her IPs. Occasionally, I may give my personal opinion and it may be positive because, again, I am a fan.

But there are no ulterior motives. It's not here to convince anyone of anything. It's only real purpose is to provide me with things to sort and tag which makes my weird little brain happy.

All policies I follow regarding avoidance of discourse (such as blocking) are for my own comfort and peace of mind and aren't meant to be personal offenses or a statement about anything in particular. I spend a lot of time on this blog, so I will make it a comfortable place to be for me first and foremost. That's all.

And while I might do this because it's fun for me, it's always nice to feel appreciated. So, thank you all for the kind asks I receive thanking me for creating this blog. While I don't post them to keep from cluttering the archive, I appreciate every one I get! ♡

I find it very funny that Dan and Phil mention "breed our dragon!" in every ad but the dragon is in fact not breedable. The implication being that the Dragon City devs are cockblocking the phandom without dnps knowledge (or they didn't read the briefing properly lol).

HOWEVER. However. I can start putting things together and just do very short chapters for a little work. I can… still make this work. Maybe.

Please, be respectful on the memorial art of Viv's cat. If you are even approaching rude on that post, I will block you. I don't care what you think about Viv or the cat's name. You are being extremely disrespectful to the memory of a living creature if you say anything except how sad it is to lose a pet.

I love cats more than life itself and I will not tolerate a cat's death being trivialized like that. If you have comments or thoughts about it, make your own post and stay away from mine.

Severance Episode 7

I've seen some people on reddit theorize that Gemma is being SA'd on the testing floor. One person said the dentist and "love you" scene were just fetishes.

I do understand where this idea comes from. It's probably the most fucked up scenario one (especially as a woman) thinks of when seeing people being severed in not just two but multiple persona. And let's be honest, it is also a very realistic threat women would face if severance were a real thing.

Buuut while I could see SA being brought up in the future, I do not think Gemma is being SA'd in the rooms. The experiences are clearly tailored to her. Mark said she hates writing thank you cards, so one of her innies does nothing but that + she gets taunted with the last exchange her outie had with Mark. I assume she also has a fear of dentists and flying (pretty common fears imo). I assume Lumon wants to either

1. Sell Severance as a way to get out of unpleasant situations. We've already seen this with the pregnancy cabin but they're likely perfecting this for easy everyday use.

2. Obviously they want to complete something with Gemma, somehow she will "sire a new world". They also say once she is done she will have to go and Mark will be free of pain (probably grief). This sounds to me like they want to find a way to delete the original person (outie) or be able to sever any negative emotion. In Marks case "deleting" all memories of Gemma and therefore his grief. Either to sell this or to do something more sinister (we still don't know what the revolving is for example, just profit is probably not the end goal of Lumon)

Of course the big question still remains. What is cold harbor? Why does that last door complete whatever they're doing with her? Since they're apparently able to simulate a crashing plane it really could be anything. Personally I hope it has nothing to do with SA or her miscarriage.

And my personal biggest question that I've had since watching season one: Why Gemma and Mark? Everyone is obsessed with Mark and him finishing cold harbor. The Dr. Maurer dude was already looking at Gemma while in the fertility clinic. Because she simply would be their next victim? Or because they had been waiting for her arrival? There has to be something special about them and I don't believe it's a cliche "Oh, because their love is just soo strong", at least I hope it's not lol.

(Also why tf do the people in the testing floor office look like MDR? Are these the ones they saw on their outdoor retreat or are there two sets of look-alikes? Wtf is that about)

While I don't want this season to end, I'm so excited for the last episodes.

Hear me out one day Doc gets struck by lightning and he gets turned into a charge creeper. And you know he's hurt because ow lightning, but he knows that being charged maybe makes him more impulsive and when he literally explodes it's bigger, like a charged creeper. So he's trying to avoid Bomb and the kids and his friends while he's still charged because he doesn't want to accidentally hurt them.

IM THINKING it depends on WHEN, early on? perhaps. later? nope.

i think being a vampire would heal his paralysis BUT being able to walk again wasnt his ONLY goal, he also wanted to get to zero. which mostly had to do with what he considered karma. he believed jesus would reset his karma to zero, so would he believe the mask to do the same? if so, he'd probably do it, and use this reasoning to justify it.

ofc this would all have to be before they found out about the corpse and stuff, his obsession with the corpse would overshadow the mask regardless.

so, early on before the corpse was a huge factor, when johnny has gotten the drive to walk again, if he found the mask, with the right reasoning, he mightve used the stone mask tbh.

thats all assuming he KNOWS what the mask does too, its probably more likely if he doesnt know about its vampirism and some shmuck just told him itll heal him and shit.

ofc i doubt gyro would see it his way if he did, even if the stone mask technically solved all his problems. johnny wouldve gotten to zero and his legs back, at the cost of the race and gyro and the sun.

i dont usually theorize/brainstorm this much so idk how accurate it really might be but its soooo fun to think about. i love morally grey characters.
