okay, some of you… ALL of you in the last of us fandom need to realise that Bella Ramsey is perfect for the role of ellie. the casting was NEVER about her looking like the game. did you guys not watch season one?

Bella ramsey is casted because she is a perfect match to her in show mother, who may i remind you, is ashely johnson. ASHELY JOHNSON AKA THE VOICE OF ELLIE AND THE MOTION CAPTURE OF ELLIE AKA ELLIES MUM IN THE SHOW!

the showrunners wanted ashely to have a part in the show, even if it was a small role. and it happened to be her mother. so no. you guys werre never going to get some person off tiktok or the internet who looks identical to the game.

also what the hell is wrong with all of you with online bullying both bella and now with Caitlyn dever?

yes i understand abby doesnt look like abby in the games, and yes they could have casted shannon berry. but that also doesnt mean you just bully pr send death threats or ANYTHING TO ACTORS?

its not your show to run and make. so why do you feel entitled to even think about and criticise everything small. the showrunners are doing what they want and you cant change that. they are trying to protect the actors yet you keep bullying and bullying?

yes, some things will be changed from the game into the show since obviously, they cant add EVERYTHING and they cant add some aspects since it will mess with the age ratings.

if you read all this aswell. please actually think about what your saying because actors are real people too. and no one wants death threats

Last year, I was fortunate to fufill a lifelong dream - directing motion capture! And even better, it was in service of LAZZO! Lazzo is an upcoming animated short, where JJ Schaeffer returns to play our fan favorite character in his own new, original world.

This is a nutshell look at Lazzo's production from directing the mocap stage with Neil Newbon, to the massive amount of work I'm doing in Unreal to bring this film to the finish line. When will I be finished? Too early to say - but I hope to bring the film exclusively to Octopunx TV and the film festival circuit later this year. For now, enjoy this BTS and stay tuned!

UPDATE 9/26/2023

Strike authorization has passed by 98.32% and SAG leadership are returning to negotiate with game companies to secure a fair deal for voice actors and mocap actors

This DOES NOT MEAN that a strike is happening, it simply means that members are willing to go on strike and leadership can use this as leverage when negotiating. The deadline to come to a deal is is 9/28. If a deal is not reached THEN will there be a strike.

Please remember that the best outcome is that there is no strike and companies simply give workers a fair deal. A strike is a last resort.

While this does not directly affect developers in the game industry, that does not mean it's not important. Voice actors have been treated like shit in the game industry and are under threat by AI. The more people that are unionized, the easy it is for others to unionize. Do not dismiss it just because it is not developers.

The companies that would be affected by a hypothetical strike are:

Disney Character Voices Inc.,

Electronic Arts Productions Inc.,

Epic Games, Inc.,

Formosa Interactive LLC,

At the moment, no boycott has been called so there is nothing for consumers or anyone not involved with SAG-AFTRA to do, other than to be supportive on social media and report unauthorized AI recreation of voice actors work. Otherwise sit tight.

This is the first thing I ever saw of TLOU. Without knowing anything about the game, I felt her fear, I felt her anger, how her voice was shaking. I felt everything. Being able to portray these emotions so amazingly just hit me so hard it was unforgettable.
