This idea is for The Flash. I had a tricky plot bunny about Caitlin wanting Cisco to vibe Savitar's timeline to see why she turned evil and joined up with him, because she figures if she knows how it happens she can prevent it.

I say tricky because Savitar's timeline is a loop (which I can't remember if Team Flash knew before they knew he was Barry, I'd need to do a bit of a S3 rewatch) and I wanted things to not go so easily for them trying to see this - that vibing any moments with Savitar creates a problem they don't realize is like a feedback loop. Anyhow, when they do see his timeline they end up seeing parts of multiple timelines that slowly unravel the mystery to her. Personally, I headcanon that each go round their loop is a little different - and that's how we eventually end up with the one that differs so much it breaks it at the end of S3 - so some of the issue here is figuring out how they differ and why and what relevance it could have to what Caitlin could see. I feel like I've set myself quite a challenge with this, because they won't know initially Savitar is Barry and I think it needs that kept back from Caitlin for at least for a bit of this vibing ordeal.

Thinking about the fic to describe it here actually gave me several ideas how to do it with less of the plotholes I'd also been struggling with for this. Originally both Cisco and Caitlin were gonna see the vibes, though now I'm thinking it will work better with Caitlin alone is seeing it all and figured out a reason for that. I'm still not sure what the end of the fic is gonna be, except that Caitlin does succeed in changing her fate.

NeverGonnaLetYouGo I just did another ask for that over here.

OutofSightOutofMind - a Stranger Things S3 AU based on the idea of what if Steve got the lifeguard job instead of working at Scoops Ahoy that summer and he also ended up taken over by the mindflayer instead of Billy. I always say I shouldn't do any more canon AUs, because they are work and a half, but figuring out how to rejig the main plot elements of S3 so far has been fun for this. Like, Dustin still goes to Steve about the code recording and Steve helps at first, but after he's taken over he starts acting distant and Dustin knows something is wrong and that sets off a whole arc to find out what's wrong and then saving Steve. I also love the opportunity to write Steve acting 'wrong' and kinda mean at times and the angst of people who know him not realising right away he's not himself.

hysteriaau - This one is a smutty Snowbarry fanfic. It's what I signed up to finish as part of the April Minibang but bad health got in the way so it's on the backburner for now and I hope I can finish later in the year. It's an AU broadly based on the 2011 film "Hysteria", but also with a bit of period-inappropriate inspiration coming from Master of Sex too tbh. Barry's a slightly radical (for the time) doctor who ends up out of work because his new thinking isn't welcomed and he has to resort to working in a clinic that does hysteria massage treatments even though he's skeptical about them. Caitlin gets sent there by her overbearing mother, though she knows Barry already, having lost touch after Ronnie died and she retreated into herself. He doesn't feel he can treat her but she strikes up a deal with him where they claim she's had treatments (to appease her mother) when they are in fact spending time together amiably getting reacquainted. Cisco appears as the inventor of the vibrator, which is plot relevant too I swear.
