Spring was finally approaching, the weather having turned less harsh and warmer in the span of a few weeks, slowly painting nature in its vibrant and gorgeous colors that I would never get enough of. And we were lucky the air was warmer now outside, because in the confines of the limited space of my little studio of my Arts Club at university—which is more of a storage room to be fair—the smell of fresh dye and incense mingled together almost in a nauseating way, leaving me no option but to crack open the small window of the studio. Well, since it was so high up, I had to ask Mingi to open it as I didn’t want to get on a chair as I would have had to walk to the front of the room, and I was too lazy to do that. Music played quietly in the corner from Mingi’s portable speaker as he hummed along the melody of the song, typing away on his phone as his shoulders were slouched over, head lowered.
My eyebrows were furrowed in concentration as I bit my tongue, making sure the dye spread out evenly at the back of Mingi’s head, not wanting to leave spots of his previously platinum blonde hair. Around a week ago, he and Seonghwa hung out under the pretense of watching movies and having a boys' night in which they would drink beer and maybe compose some music, however, the next day when Mingi came over to have lunch with my mother and me, his hair was short. The long strands that curled prettily against his nape and ears were gone, replaced by short spikey hair that stuck up against his head, giving him a punkish look. My mother had squealed when she saw him, touched his hair, and then cradled his cheeks, gushing about how handsome he was, making me glare at the two as they forgot about my existence. Instead, I went and set the table and left them to their usual gossiping, shaking my head when my mother told him all about the new hot doctor at work she had her eyes on.
At times, those two would get lost in their own world and forget about my existence, amusing me, but also prompting me to give them a side-eye. Don’t get me wrong, I was beyond the moon that my boyfriend and mother got along really well, but at times it almost felt like I didn’t even exist—and before you would be like Mingi and say that I am dramatic, the fact that my mother seemed to love Yunho just as much as Mingi, definitely sent me into an existential crisis after the first time she confessed she loved the two as if they were her own sons. And about Yunho, well, yes, we’ve worked out our differences—which involved a lot of explaining, invoking buried memories, and a lot of apologies from Yunho’s side—so now we were all a big happy family—family as in not to be misunderstood, we all loved each other and had a nice bond. To be honest, I felt no mal-intent towards Yunho when after a month of dating Mingi we finally decided to sit down and discuss everything with his best friend, and I even found myself now confiding in him and asking him for advice in areas Seulgi—and Wooyoung—couldn’t help, because, after all, Yunho knew Mingi best. And Yunho’s girlfriend was an absolute angel and sweetheart, I took a liking to her quite quickly and found her love for literature rather adorable as she’d often quote her favorite characters from her favorite books.
Mingi snickered as I playfully pushed his head forward as I was done dyeing his platinum hair to a regular, darker, blonde with pink hues in it. I tried to look over his shoulder to see what he found so amusing but he cradled his phone to his chest and made me roll my eyes as I walked to the sink to wash the small bowl and the brush I used to dye his hair. Mingi changed the music to something more upbeat and a lot noisier than the music he, Wooyoung, and Seonghwa made, and I came to realize the speaker was playing Limp Bizkit. I couldn’t say that I enjoyed their music too much, I preferred something more indie, but I still appreciated some of their songs. I turned on the faucet and started washing the brush first as Mingi approached me and leaned against the counter, lips pursed as he tried to hide his cheeky smile. I threw him a questioning look as I rinsed the bowl out, applying a little soap in it to wash out the dye completely as Mingi finally spoke up, “Check this out, ‘Your face is a work of art, my legs should frame it.’”
My eyebrows furrowed as I gave Mingi a confused look, quickly making him pout, “Oh, come on! It’s ‘art rizz’!”
I snorted as I placed the bowl and brush aside to dry, peeling the gloves off my hands carefully to not stain my clothes or skin, “You’ve had better ones Mings, besides, shouldn’t I be saying that to you?”
“I mean,” Mingi’s eyebrows furrowed as he pocketed his phone in his light pink jeans, crossing his arms in front of his chest. He wore a white loose sleeveless tank top today, his biceps bulged from the action and I tried not to let my eyes linger on the well-defined muscles, “I definitely like the idea you’re suggesting—”
“As if we haven’t done that already.” I interrupted with a pointed look and Mingi just rolled his eyes.
“That’s beside the point,” And then he was smirking, leaning into my space as I rinsed the soap off my hands, “wait, are you suggesting something right now?”
“I just dyed your hair, Mingi, no, I’m not suggesting anything.” I sighed, unimpressed, as I shut the faucet off and grabbed a small towel to dry my hands off in it. You see, Mingi is rather…vocal with his needs and quick in executing them, so, I cannot say we haven’t been… active, if you know what I mean.
“Pity.” Mingi pouted for a second before he moved on to the next subject, his brain sometimes moving too fast for me to be able to keep up with him, “You remember that well-dressed woman from our last gig at Outlaw?”
“I sure do, she looked rather out of place with her pencil skirt and blouse.” I hummed as I leaned my hip against the sink, facing Mingi. He grinned and then fished his phone out of his pocket again and unlocked it, clicking on something I couldn’t see. Then, he cleared his throat and raised it to a higher pitch that was definitely mocking the woman’s voice.
“Mr. Song, I am delighted to let you know that Horizon Records would love to work with Noir Zenith, and we’d like to set an appointment as soon as it fits you and your bandmates' schedule. – Hong J.” Mingi bit his bottom lip as my eyes widened, prompting me to hold onto his wrist in excitement.
“Wait,” I said, eyebrows lightly furrowing, “isn’t this that super famous and huge record everyone dreams of getting signed to?!”
And when Mingi’s smile grew into a hug grin, I felt joy and excitement fill my senses as I grabbed both of Mingi’s hands, jumping up and down as he giggled and followed along, the two of us jumping in small circles like little kids. I couldn’t believe my ears, this was even bigger than the last record they agreed to sign with for half a year—the one Hongjoong helped out with—and once their contract was over, they could sign a new one with Horizon Records.
“That’s fucking amazing, Mingi!” I exclaimed loudly as we finally stopped jumping around, my heart beating fast as Mingi nodded in excitement, his teeth visible as he couldn’t stop smiling.
“I know, Wooyoung started running laps while screaming and Seonghwa cried clinging to me for half an hour when I told them.” I chuckled at the image in my head, but quickly realized the message wasn’t fresh. Before I could go off on him for hiding something so important from me, Mingi beat me to it, a knowing glint in his eyes, “Mrs. Hong sent the text yesterday afternoon and I only didn’t tell you about it because I knew we’d meet today and I wanted to see your reaction, so, don’t be mad, please.”
And how could I be mad at him when his plump lips were jutting out and his eyebrows raised in a manner that made him look adorable and heartbreaking at the same time? I huffed and squeezed his hands before I released them, trying to play off the fact that he already knew me so well, “I wasn’t about to get mad, I’m very happy for you and the rest of the boys, my love.”
Mingi giggled and looked away, the high of his cheekbones slightly flushed, and I grinned because I could never get over the fact that calling him ‘love’ or ‘my love’ turned him into a giggling and blushing mess. It was adorable, cute, and somehow still sexy, and before I would let any stray thoughts enter my head and distract me from the plans we had, I cleared my throat, “We should eat that pizza we ordered, it’s probably already gone cold.”
Mingi hummed but didn’t speak up as I went to walk towards the white sheet we had laid on the floorboards to sit on, pizza, black nail polish, Mingi’s pink beanie, and my sketchbook scattered all over it. However, before I could take another step, my feet suddenly weren’t touching the ground anymore as I was lifted by the waist, a squeal leaving my lips as I clutched onto Mingi’s bare arms, “Mingi! Put me down!”
“No.” He giggled against my neck and I felt his warm lips press a small kiss against my nape as my hair was in a bun, then he was running towards the sheet as we both laughed, the song playing through the speaker drowned out by our loudness. He finally placed me back down on my feet when we reached the white sheet and I sat down in a crisscross position, opening the box of pizza as Mingi took his seat across me. I grinned as I grabbed a slice, my stomach growling in hunger once again, and then I took a bite of the cheesy pepperoni pizza, making Mingi chuckle as he looked less hungry and less eager to devour our lunch for today. I extended my hand for his phone and he gave it to me without a word, I typed in his password before I looked through his playlist, taking bites of my pizza in the meantime. I found a slower beat that I liked and switched the currently playing song to that and then handed his phone back after I locked it, smiling as Mingi was flipping through my newest sketchbook which had mostly drawings of him.
I didn’t expect him to flip to that particular page and I almost choked as the pizza went down a little array, making Mingi smirk as he pulled the drawing closer to himself, dark eyes inspecting his sleeping form in the drawing. Well, the drawing looked completely innocent unless you knew what happened before it, and I couldn’t help but blush harder when Mingi bit his lower lip, pizza in his hand forgotten as he traced the blanket that hung low on his naked hips, torso on display and face serene as he had been in a deep slumber. When he looked up, he didn’t look much too smug, but there was a glint in his eyes that I had become accustomed to too well. He was in awe, but he was turned on, and I couldn’t help but stuff my face more with pizza, satiating my hunger as a means of distraction from the fact that I drew Mingi post-sex not even four days ago.
“Sometimes I wish I wasn’t a talented songwriter and composer but a good hell of a painter.” His voice was deeper as he mumbled, taking a bite of his pizza as he glanced back down at the drawing, “I want to draw you too, to capture you in all forms and commemorate you for an eternity.”
Well, what a way to make me blush harder. I grabbed another slice as I had finished the first one as a means to stall for a second, ponder over my answer, “You’re good with your words though, unlike me. I always struggle to express myself concisely, yet to you it’s easy. You create beautiful lyrics and you never fail to capture my true nature in your songs, so I think I’ll always live on in your music, Mingi, you have already commemorated me for an eternity.”
That made Mingi blink in surprise as he hadn’t even realized that before, and I smiled as he gave me a lasting look before he flipped the page, the drawing of him playing with a kitten I had found outside my porch. Now, she was our kitten and she, obviously, loved Mingi more than me—just like my mother, I didn’t try to complain about this too, “You inspire me like none other.”
“You inspire me too, Mings.” Mingi’s smile was shy as he continued flipping through the sketchbook, less filled than my other ones as I decided to dedicate this one only to him. He’d seen the older sketches plenty of times before, yet he never failed to become shy when looking through them.
I finished my slice of pizza, dusted my hands off and made sure my cheeks weren’t greasy as I leaned towards the black nail polish, shaking it in front of Mingi with a grin, “Ready to get your nails painted?”
He nodded excitedly and handed me his left hand as he still held his slice of pizza in the right one. His thick fingers were smooth and decorated with rings, much like mine, and I flipped my left hand around to place his palm in mine. After having arrived at my humble studio once we were finished with our classes for the day, Mingi got to work and painted my nails. He had bought some new nail polish a week ago and convinced me to surprise me with them, so, the nails on my left hand were now almost neon green and the nails on my right hand almost Barbie pink. Sometime along, painting each other’s nails became a habit, something we both enjoyed doing and now we could confidently call it our thing.
I concentrated hard to not smudge the skin around his nails, eyebrows furrowed and teeth clamping down on my bottom lip as Mingi’s eyes were either on me or his nails, bobbing his head along to the rhythm of the song playing. He usually chewed loudly and I was thankful he kept his mouth closed this time, knowing that it would only irritate me if he started chewing on his slice of pizza aggressively—it wouldn’t be the first time he does it just to annoy me. As I finished doing his middle finger, his phone rang and Mingi reached over to his left side as he bit on the crust of his pizza, picking his phone off the floor as the music cut off. He accepted the phone call and put it on speaker as I chuckled and watched him take out the crust from his mouth so that he could talk.
“Hey! Song Mingi!” It was unmistakably Wooyoung’s voice as he screamed into the phone, making me concerned that Mingi would lose his hearing if he had just normally picked up the phone without putting it on speaker, “What’s up, bro?!”
Mingi snickered, shaking his head as I finished painting the nails on his left hand, “I told you yesterday that I would hang out with Y/N after classes.”
“Ah, right,” Wooyoung hummed as I leaned down to press a kiss against Mingi’s hand, making him grin as he finished his slice, eagerly handing over his right hand to paint his nails, “And where are you two lovebirds?”
“In her studio,” Mingi answered as I got to work, careful as always as I painted his pinkie’s nail.
“Now that you mention, Seulgi said something about not being able to work on her assignment in the studio because of you two.”
I scoffed and before Mingi could answer, I spoke up as I leaned towards the phone, “I told Seulgi to do her assignment not two days before the deadline, and I also told her a week ago that I’d be hounding the studio with Mingi today.”
“Heard that babe?!” Wooyoung’s voice was distant just for a second, then he snickered, “She says you’re lucky she loves you, otherwise she would’ve kicked you out of your studio.”
“My own studio.” I huffed and applied another coat over Mingi’s forefinger’s nail to even out the texture, “What a bitch.”
“A bitch that is forced to listen to her best friend’s constant bitching, who’s the bitch now, Y/N?” Everyone snickered and I rolled my eyes as there was the unmistakable sound of a kiss pressed against a cheek through the phone, Mingi and I shared a look of mild disgust as I went to paint his thumb’s nail.
“Don’t start making out while you’re on the phone with me, Wooyoung.” Mingi’s voice carried disgust but there was a hint of amusement, “Anyways, what’s the purpose of your call? You never call unless you need something or I ask you to remind me of something.”
“It’s neither this time,” Seulgi chuckled through the phone, and then there was shuffling and I knew she walked away. I finished Mingi’s nails and closed the bottle of nail polish, sitting up on my knees to kiss Mingi’s cheek as he bit his lower lip, grinning at me as he wriggled his fingers happily.
“Do not be late to Aurora’s opening tonight and wear something extra fancy, Hongjoong will have our heads if we don’t honor his fiancé for God’s sake.” Wooyoung sounded mildly annoyed but it was no secret that he loved Hongjoong probably almost as much as he loved all of his friends, however, he’d never admit that to anyone. Aurora became the name of Seonghwa’s studio and small gallery, and tonight was the grand opening. Everyone was excited about it, with Seonghwa being a nerve wreck as he feared people wouldn’t show up. After having talked to both him and Hongjoong, they agreed to display a few of my paintings in the front lobby and I was giddy and curious about everyone’s reaction to them. Nobody knew what I had handed over to Seonghwa, and he had beamed when his eyes took in the paintings, he getting emotional instead of me and making me chuckle as I hugged him tightly and thanked him for the opportunity.
“You should worry about yourself, Woo,” Mingi teased with a chuckle, “Y/N and I will look impeccable, as always.”
“That is for sure,” I muttered as I sat back on my ankles, watching Mingi with a grin as we had decided to match our outfits for the night.
“Talk to you later, we’ve got some business to attend to with Y/N now.” And then Wooyoung said his goodbye and they hung up as Mingi pointed towards the pizza with a pout, “I’m still hungry, will you feed me?”
And even if I said no and rolled my eyes, five minutes later Mingi had a teasing glint in his eyes as I fed him his third slice of pizza, smart enough to remain silent or else I wouldn’t have continued feeding him or helping him drink water while his nails dried.
Barely an hour later, when Mingi’s hunger and thirst were satiated and his nails were dry, we replaced the white sheet with a huge flat canvas that we would paint over. We had agreed on painting a scenery, something similar to the creek we so much liked to visit when the weather allowed it, but sometime along my attempts at making it look like the actual creek, Mingi’s not so painter skills came into the mix and created a—whatever that did not look like the creek. He refused to admit that what was supposed to be the water now looked like the sky, making the whole painting look like it was upside down from our standpoint, and he also kept on vehemently denying that he tried to paint a dick over the trunk of the tree I spent at least fifteen minutes on to make it look as realistic as possible. All in all, I concluded that without Mingi here I would’ve been able to finish the painting in a maximum of three hours, however, now there was no future for finding a vision in whatever we have created.
But I didn’t mind, because this was Mingi’s and my work, something we created together while laughing and talking about whatever came to our minds, the atmosphere light and joyful. I had also washed out the dye from his hair and we towel-dried it, making it look spikier than usual. I couldn’t lie, this new hair made Mingi look incredibly hot, and it took me some willpower to not jump him as he looked at me with those sharp eyes and a knowing smirk, the asshole.
“But you’ll dye it back to black soon, right?” I asked while painting clouds over the once creek turned sky now. Mingi was behind me, crouched down, and his clothes still somehow miraculously not stained. I wore my old overall knowing that I’d stain myself the second I opened a can of paint, and I wasn’t wrong at all as the edges of my pants were already stained green and white.
“I mean, do you hate this color?” Mingi asked from behind me as he dipped his brush into black, terrifying me of whatever he had in mind to do with the color once I saw him.
“What the hell do you need black for?!” I exclaimed as I grabbed his wrist, making his eyebrows shoot up in amusement.
“Aren’t artists supposed to just go with the flow?” His lips jutted out as he playfully leaned closer, my eyebrows furrowing as I was ready to oppose his idea, “You’re making me question your working etiquette, doll, I don’t find you creative enough—”
“As if!” I exclaimed only mildly offended as I knew Mingi was only teasing me, “Going with the flow and trusting your instincts is one thing, love, but having no vision or idea in mind is plain terrifying.”
“I was going to sign the top of it, but never mind—”
“Fine,” I groaned, gripping his wrist to stop Mingi from twisting away. His voice was whiney and he was pouting, not even looking at me as if he was offended. I knew he wasn’t; he was just acting up to get what he wanted. And unfortunately, it was working embarrassingly well on me, “Sign it.”
“Great!” He beamed as he leaned forward, mindful of staining his pink jeans with paint and I sighed as I shook my head, making curved lines before I colored them to make them look more like clouds. I had no idea what would become of the painting, but I certainly was eager to find out.
“Back to your hair,” I spoke up as Mingi carefully drew his ‘fix on’ signature onto the canvas, “I don’t hate the blonde but I miss your natural color, it suits you more, makes you look cuter and softer.”
“Aw,” Mingi turned back to give me puppy eyes—which he learned from Yunho, no doubt, “you like your boyfriend to be all soft and cute? I thought you like it when I get all wild and destroy—”
“Do not finish that sentence, Song Mingi.” I threatened as I sat back, brush pointed threateningly towards Mingi.
“Or what?” His crooked teeth showed as he grinned, quirking an eyebrow to annoy me further. I huffed and tried to think of a good comeback, but came up empty-handed for once so I gave him a pointed glare.
“I’ll stain you with paint.”
“Bet.”
“Bet.”
And I know Mingi didn’t expect me to actually follow through with my childish threat, but as I jerked my wrist in his direction, the remaining paint from my brush flew off and, well, stained his white sleeveless tank top. Mingi’s mouth fell open as he gaped down at himself, and I laughed, giving him a smug look.
“What, did you think I was fucking around?”
“Oh, I’ll make you wish you never did that!”
And before I could prepare myself for whatever attack he had planned, he pressed his hand against his brush and coated it in black paint then sprung towards me, making me gasp as his thick fingers drew a cold line against my cheekbone. Mingi grinned as I stared at him in surprise, but I reacted soon quickly as I pressed my fingers into the fresh paint on the canvas and returned the favor, the only difference being that I drew a circle on his forehead with white paint. Mingi blinked once, then twice, and a mischievous grin spread onto his lips which told me that I was in trouble.
I quickly scrambled to my feet, but Mingi was fast as he dug his whole hand in green paint and slapped my ass painfully hard, making me cry out as it stung even through the fabric, making me give him a deadly glare, “Song Mingi! That fucking hurt!”
“You’re a pussy.” He stuck his tongue out and I tsked, leaning down to push my whole hand inside the red paint. Mingi’s eyes widened as I gave him a victorious smirk, eyes narrowing as he jumped up to his feet, holding his arms up in defeat.
“Okay, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to start a war—” But his futile attempts at saving his ass fell on deaf ears as I cackled and took off towards him, making him yelp as he tried to duck and run away, making us run around the canvas. We were both barefoot and as Mingi tried to jump over the canvas, he miscalculated where his long legs would land and landed on his freshly painted signature, making him yelp again as it was no doubt cold against his feet. I laughed as I easily caught up with him and felt up his chest, biting my lower lip as Mingi’s eyes widened.
“Oh, no, your white shirt is all stained now.” I fake pouted as Mingi froze, incredulous eyes looking between me and his shirt. I chuckled and clapped my hands together, deciding that my job was done here, but then Mingi was stepping back and leaving foot marks all over the canvas on purpose. I scoffed but didn’t care much, the poor painting had been long ruined. I crossed my arms in front of my chest in defiance as he dipped both of his hands in pink paint and then gave me a grin as he beckoned me over with a finger. I huffed in disbelief as if I’d hand myself over willingly to him. And he knew that because I dipped both of my hands in light blue paint and faced him again. Our stare-off was intense and calculating as we both tried to guess the other’s next step, and thinking I’d have the upper hand, I stepped in the middle of the canvas just as Mingi moved too and I raised my hands to dirty his tank top even more when he cupped my cheeks and made me squeal.
The paint felt cold against my skin and I knew it would dry it out once it started drying itself, but I was far too amused to worry about something so insignificant right now. Wanting revenge, I grasped his hair and massaged my hands well into the freshly dyed darker blonde strands, making his hair look like cotton candy due to the pink hue mixing with the light blue of the paint.
“My hair! Y/N!” Mingi whined loudly slapping my hands away, but I wasn’t finished as I dirtied his jaw, neck, and tank top too. Mingi was pouting hard and glaring at me at the same time, already sharp eyes turning sharper and full of revenge as he flushed his body against mine and cupped my ass over the fabric, gripping tightly and kneading the flesh.
“Mingi!” I exclaimed, content with being so close to him, but also annoyed that he kept going for my ass, “Leave my ass alone, you idiot!”
“You ruined my hair!”
“I told you to dye it black and not a different shade of blonde.”
“I thought you were a firm believer in people doing whatever they want.”
“I am, but you’re my boyfriend and I find you hotter with black hair.”
“Well, you’re my girlfriend and I find you hotter with my dick down your throat.”
We both paused as my eyes widened and Mingi caught himself a second later, cheeks flushing as he looked sheepish, finally releasing my ass as his hands settled around my hips instead, “Oopsie, that went too far but it’s the truth—”
He cried out as I whacked him over the head, giving him a fierce look, “Yeah? I also find you hotter gagged around my fingers—”
“We only did that once!”
“Are you afraid it makes you less masculine?”
“I agreed to let you peg me, bro.”
“I know, bro, and you fucking enjoyed it.”
“So, what’s the issue here?”
“That you keep slapping and kneading my ass, leave it alone.”
“Okay, princess, my bad.”
“You’re the princess, Mingi, not me. You’re always whining.”
“And you’re always beating me up, Y/N.”
“Am not!”
“Yeah, you are!”
I scowled at Mingi and pushed him back by the chest, by no means aggressively or harshly, but his dramatic ass pretended to stumble and then he fell back, splaying out across the canvas. I huffed and pinched the bridge off my nose as he made fake crying noises, blinking up at me slowly, “See? I’m huwt.”
I closed my eyes to compose myself and control the need to kick him in the balls for being cringy, “Don’t talk like that, oh, my God.”
“Do you hate it?” He grinned evilly as I walked off the canvas, and to look at me, he turned onto his stomach as he cupped his chin and raised his legs to swing them in the air. He looked like a mess with the paint all over his hair, face, and body, some having gotten onto his pants too now that he was laying on the canvas. I chuckled and shook my head as I eyed my boyfriend, knowing that I looked probably just as messy as him.
“I do, actually, you’re only cute when you’re not trying to be cute.” I deadpanned and Mingi huffed dramatically, letting his arms fall as he pressed his forehead against them. Eyes falling on his round ass, I knew it was my time for payback, and I moved swiftly before he could realize what I was aiming for—it wouldn’t be the first time—so I quickly kneeled next to him and leaned down, baring my teeth as I opened my mouth wide. At first, Mingi jumped when my teeth made contact with his jeans and then when I bit down hard, he yelped, soon turning into loud cries as I continued to bite his left ass cheek harder and harder. He started flailing around and I pulled back with a cackle after I made sure my teeth had sunken in deep enough. But, I had no time to react as he quickly turned around and leaped onto me, landing on top of me as I fell back onto the canvas, no doubt smudging even more whatever paint hadn’t dried yet.
Mingi got on top of me, sitting on my hips as he crossed his arms in front of his chest, pinning me to the floor. I smirked as I raised my eyebrows tauntingly at him, watching his eyes slowly rake over my body to take me in.
“That hurt.”
“Fair enough, it hurt too when you slapped my ass.”
“Well, you have no right to whine so much about it anymore.”
“I do if you keep slapping it, and I also have the right to bite your ass as revenge.”
Mingi’s eyes narrowed and I giggled as he slowly leaned down, placing his hands on both sides of my head to prop himself up, effectively caging me between himself and the floor. I continued looking at him challengingly as he bit his bottom lip, eyes never settling as they searched my face for even a fraction that showed that I would back down. But I wouldn’t, and he knew that by now as he suddenly smirked too, leaning so close our lips brushed against each other.
“I think I won, doll.”
“I didn’t know we were in a contest, love.”
And then he sealed his lips against mine, shutting up the both of us in the most effective way as our lips moved slowly, savoring each other’s taste and lips. Mingi shifted above me and I eagerly opened my legs to let him settle between them as I hugged his torso, hands raking up and down his back slowly as his hips pressed firmly against mine. I smirked against Mingi’s lips when his breath hitched in the back of his throat due to my fingers tangling into his short strands now a little crusty from the red paint in it, it was no secret that Mingi liked it when I pulled on his hair. He cupped my chin with one hand as he pressed his weight on his left arm, the only cue I needed to open up my mouth to grant him access. We both sighed in contentment as his tongue slowly glided against mine, my legs coming up around his hips to lock Mingi’s body against mine.
Mingi moaned when I tangled my fingers just a little harder into his hair, letting him lap at my tongue as he explored my mouth, my body growing hotter as the seconds passed by, hands slipping under his loose tank top to feel up his warm skin. The skin of his back was smooth and I pressed my nails into it as I slowly racked it up his back, feeling Mingi shiver against my body as he jerked his hips forward, making me hum against his mouth as he pulled my bottom lip between his teeth and clamped down on it, sucking hard. I groaned and dug my nails into his shoulders, pulling my head back to be able to lean up and press kisses against his lean neck, his cologne mixing with the paint that was smeared all over us. My lips were hot as I parted them to press wet kisses against his flesh, sucking in the areas I knew Mingi was sensitive to, making him groan and jerk his hips forward again. With a hand slipping down to his hips, I gripped him firmly and prompted him to grind against me, Mingi’s head buried in my hair as I continued to press kisses until I reached his collarbones, gripping the hem of his tank top. He wasted no second as he pulled back just slightly, slipping the fabric off his torso, leaving it bare for me as I grinned at him, feeling his chest and abs up as he worked at the clips of my overall.
I kissed the skin between his pectorals and then pressed up on my elbows as Mingi made quick work of slipping the overall down to my waist and ultimately out of them as goosebumps covered the bare skin of my legs. We threw the overalls off to the side and Mingi was then moving back, down between my legs as he hovered above my thighs, eyes boring into mine as he pressed a feather-like kiss against my left thigh. I gulped and fisted my palms as heat pooled in my lower stomach, his lips always featherlight as he advanced higher up on my thighs with nips and kisses, sometimes licking at the skin teasingly. I knew my cheeks were flushed as I felt hotter by the minute and I shuddered when his lips pressed against my core through the fabric of my panties, making the breath hitch in the back of my throat. Mingi smirked and did it once again before he licked a slow strip upward, closing his eyes to hum, and I let my fingers tangle in his hair as he tapped my inner thigh, moving away from where I wanted him most.
He sat back to undo the buttons and zipper of his jeans, and I watched in anticipation as he slipped the fabric off his thick thighs and ass slowly, in a teasing manner, bottom lip between his teeth as he was half hard already, eyes hooded once he was done with his half-assed striptease. I chuckled and he was all over me again, hips flushed against mine again as I wrapped my legs around his hips, eager to feel his heavy body press me down into the floor. Mingi’s fingers gingerly traveled from my waist up to the hem of my blouse and then he brought it over my head and arms, landing in the pile of clothes to the side. And then his lips were over mine again, licking into my mouth and biting my lip messily as he slowly ground his hips against mine, making me hold onto him as it was easy to feel him in just our underwear. One of my hands went to tease at the elastic of his boxers and, despite him talking shit about it, I knew he liked it when I kneaded his ass, the skin sensitive for him there.
Mingi moaned and ground just a little harder against me, making me burn for him more as he cupped one of my boobs through the bra, pinching the bud as our tongues moved messily without much purpose or goal, too focused on how our bodies felt with the ministrations done to it. As he pressed himself up on his elbow, the hand that grabbed my boob traveled lower on my body until it was inside my panties and rubbing circles against my clit, making me moan out his name loudly, his length grinding up against my thigh as he bit my collarbone, making me screw my eyes shut as I was throbbing for him. But he was a little shit and he only teased, rubbing but never quite letting his fingers slip inside as he chuckled against my ear, making me grit my teeth at him as I gripped his wrist to keep him pressing against my clit as my hips kicked off the floor.
“You’re wet, doll.”
“And you’re not doing enough, love.”
Mingi chuckled again and I moaned as he teasingly slipped just the tip of his finger inside, his rings cold against my burning skin, my nails digging into the flesh of his ass. Mingi groaned and pulled back, making me groan in frustration as I glared at him, but he quickly silenced me with his lips as I felt him pull down my panties, I shimmied my hips to help him get over with it faster. He grinned and nipped at my bottom lip as I pushed his boxers off too, grabbing his dick to teasingly rub at his slit, making him hiss against my lips as our eyes fluttered open.
“What? Only you can tease?” Mingi’s eyes were dark and narrowed as he bucked against my hand, my pace awfully slow in jerking him off, “I could tell you to get off me and I would go on with my merry day—”
“Sure,” Mingi grinned, lips ghosting against my ear as his voice had dropped lower than usual, grabbing my wrist to stop my movements, “but you love my dick too much to pass up on it.”
I scoffed but said nothing, perhaps a little too desperate to have it inside me finally. I hated it when he teased me too much, and because Mingi knew this, he never passed up on the opportunity to get on my nerves even when we were having sex. He enjoyed it perhaps a little bit too much. But the teasing was finally over as he had gotten enough of it, eager to push in as he lined himself up with my entrance, pressing a kiss against my lips.
“I don’t have a condom.” He whispered, eyes searching mine.
“Just pull out, I’m fine.” I circled his shoulders, embracing myself as my core throbbed, eager to have his size expand my walls. Mingi hummed and then pressed another kiss against my lips as he slowly pushed inside, having to take it slow as he didn’t stretch me out with his fingers first, the burn insistent despite our active sex life. I still haven’t gotten used to it, but I didn’t mind as it only made me wetter for him, more eager to take him. Mingi’s bottom lip was between his teeth as he kept his breath labored, concentrating on not hurting me and taking it slow until I said so. I let my fingers run through his hair as I sighed, trying to relax my muscles and just melt into his arms, pressing a kiss against his cheek when he paused abruptly, shuddering.
“You’re so tight,” His voice was barely above a whisper and strained, “I’m about to burst.”
“So soon?” I asked with a chuckle, teasing as it earned me a sharp glare, “And whose fault it is I’m so tight? Your fingers are there for a reason.”
“Shut up.” Mingi groaned and then pressed in fully, a gasp leaving my throat at the sudden move, eyebrows scrunching up as he pressed in deep, making me feel fuller than before. My walls clamped down against his dick and Mingi pressed his forehead against mine as I embraced him, letting my fingers tangle in the short hair against his nape. I nodded, eyes boring into each other, and then Mingi was moving, slowly at first, pulling out only halfway before he was pressing back in, sighs leaving my lips as the pleasure was slowly building up, my hips moving in an attempt to meet his thrusts.
He secured his knees better against the canvas and pressed up on his elbows, hovering over me as his cross necklace dangled in my face, and the image was way too good and hot, knocking a moan out of me as he started thrusting faster, hips slamming back against mine as our pace got faster and more urgent, our breathy moans falling against each other’s lips as I nipped on Mingi’s bottom lip. I hooked a finger against the silver chain as his nose scrunched up, hips slamming back against mine with more purpose, more power, and eagerness as he looked down between our bodies, a grunt leaving his lips as he enjoyed the view. I hooked my legs tighter around his hips and prompted him to move faster, most of my moans were swallowed as we had to remember that we were at university still, in my own studio, so we couldn’t be too vocal. The walls here weren’t soundproof like in Mingi’s studio, yet staying quiet proved to become harder and harder as Mingi started pistoning his hips, grunts turned into low moans as he slammed his lips against mine, our breaths getting swallowed as our teeth knocked together, saliva gathering in the corner of our mouths as I pressed my hands against the small of his back, my own arching off the floor for an even better angle, keening his name when he finally reached the spot that had me seeing stars.
But Mingi was a diligent man who took his time in everything he did, even sex, and if he could prolong our orgasms, then he certainly would, so I had no doubt we’d be at it for a while, subsequently making us late to Aurora’s opening. And we couldn’t have that happening, but our brains were too fogged up and busy with something else to notice Wooyoung’s insistent texts on Mingi’s phone or my mother’s call to remind me I had to be home in fifteen minutes to start getting ready. Oh, well.
Tumblr media
Turns out, we got there just in time and nobody screamed our ears off—I’m looking at you Wooyoung—and Seonghwa was certainly overwhelmed when he saw the number of people that showed up for the opening. It was a mix of all age groups and people who knew Seonghwa and Hongjoong from different places, like Hongjoong’s employees or Seonghwa’s colleagues from his major, and there were even more fans of Zenith Noir that showed up, surprising all three of the guys. Seulgi and I stood to the side with grins on our faces as their fans swarmed them and gushed about the beautiful designs Seonghwa had displayed, some put behind glass to protect the expensive material Hongjoong’s team had worked on, and some even put out to be tried on and bought if someone desired to do so.
Seonghwa’s speech had been an emotional one in which he thanked everyone for their support and Hongjoong for believing in him and offering him opportunities he thought were real only in a far-fetched dream, and then I got teary-eyed when Seonghwa’s family surprised him with cake and hugs and praises, making me extremely happy for being able to chase his dreams. The matching rings Hongjoong and he had on their ring finger were eye-catching to those who didn’t know about their engagement, and it was Hongjoong who proudly announced it to the whole room while Seonghwa flushed and tried not to hide behind Hongjoong despite being taller than his fiancé. It was a sight to behold and I wasn’t surprised to feel Mingi cuddle up into my side and sniff loudly as he watched his friends with a proud smile on his lips, Wooyoung amusingly quiet for once.
When everyone was done appreciating Seonghwa’s efforts and creations, he announced with a cheeky smile that the next time anyone visited, the front lobby would be decorated by other artists’ works, but because I had a special request, tonight my works were displayed in the room adjacent to this. I felt my heart in my throat as Seonghwa led us towards the dark room, then our eyes met and I nodded with a small smile, biting my bottom lip as the light switch was flipped on, coating the room in light. I turned to look at Mingi in anticipation as his eyes widened, and he broke free of the crowd, hurrying inside to take in the entirety of the room, from being incredulous to teary-eyed and then looking like the happiest man on Earth, I couldn’t help it but let my heart swell in happiness and pride as I watched him chuckle and look at me with eyes filled with pure and honest love.
The soft sage green walls were decorated with two portraits of Mingi I had sketched out right at the beginning when I had met him, when I wasn’t so familiar with all of his features yet. Then it progressed to the moments I had captivated as our relationship slowly progressed into that of friendship, us sitting in his car, Mingi driving, Mingi laughing at making me flustered, Mingi’s sharp eyes watching me in a faceless crowd, Mingi up on stage shining like the star he is, Mingi gazing at me with yearning in his eyes, Mingi hugging me warmly into his chest, Mingi chewing on his bottom lip in concentration as he sat in his chair in his studio, working on his music, Mingi looking upset because I rudely disregarded everything that’s happened between us, Mingi angry because I was too stubborn to admit my feelings for him, too afraid to move on from Yunho, and at last, Mingi smiling so widely his eyes disappeared, nose scrunched up and his front teeth showing a little more than usual, pure happiness painting his face.
There was a low murmur amongst the crowd as everyone took in the sketches, drawings, and paintings, but I was only focused on Mingi and his reaction to seeing the stages of our relationship displayed through my eyes, my feelings, and my thoughts. And then, more towards the end of the exposition, there was an old sketch of Yunho I had done while still mulling over the failure of our relationship, and right next to it was a painting of both Yunho and Mingi as they sat next to each other, laughing about whatever was funny at that moment. I had captured the moment when Mingi, me, Yunho, and his girlfriend had gone out for dinner, and then I decided I wanted to paint it twice and gift it to Mingi and Yunho for Christmas. I suppose Mingi would get his sooner than Yunho, I’m sure neither would mind.
Seonghwa announced that I was the artist behind the creations and the room erupted in cheers and claps as people complimented me on my talent, but my eyes were on Mingi only as his blazer was glittery underneath the white light, matching my floor-length glittery black dress. He opened his arms and I didn’t waste any more seconds to approach him and let him crush me in his arms, his embrace warm and reassuring as he pressed his face into my hair, exhaling loudly as I embraced him back just as tightly, closing my eyes as my heart was racing. These past three months I spent next to him had been the best time of my life ever, he made me happier and feel safer than anyone else ever. He helped me get better at controlling my explosive emotions and he helped me slowly break down the walls I so defensively built up after Yunho’s departure. He made me unafraid to love and to receive love, he made me want to spend the rest of my life with him.
I wanted a forever with him.
“I love you, Mingi.” And it was the first time I voiced those thoughts, voice clear but quiet so that only he’d hear it. I felt Mingi freeze, a gasp leaving his mouth as he pulled back, holding me at arm's length as I smiled at him softly, “I love you.”
Mingi gulped as his eyes suddenly turned teary, and he cupped my cheeks as he lowered his head to press his forehead against mine, inhaling deeply as he nodded his head. He’d said those three words to me before, unafraid and unashamed to let me know how he truly felt towards me, and I finally found the courage to say it back. I finally was ready to let him know just how much I felt for him, that I loved him just as much as he loved me.
“I love you, Y/N, so much.” His voice trembled and he kept his eyes closed out of fear of having the tears escape them, and I hummed, resting my hands on his shoulders as I gently rubbed the skin of his neck in an attempt to soothe him.
“I love you just as much, Mingi.”
And he smiled, pressing his warm lips against mine with the unspoken promise that this would last forever, that this was what we both had been searching for. Safety, contentment, honesty, friendship, and freedom, a love that was honest and unafraid. It seemed like our future was rather promising, next to him, I could take on anything. We won’t forget to look at the moon tonight.
I love you, Song Mingi.

A/N: So, hello once again, I am so-so grateful if you made it 'til the end. I cannot believe I'm actually finished with this story and it's a really bittersweet feeling actually, because I am as happy as sad, no joke I kinda cried a little bit. I absolutely love the character and personality I have created for Mingi in this story and I love MC and his dynamic so much, that I find it so freaking hard to let go of them omg, what's happening to me?!
I just really really want to thank everyone who stuck around from start to finish, or from the middle of the story, or showed up as we neared the end of it, I am so so grateful to you all for being patient with me and showering me with love and making me look forward to posting. I was always so excited about a new chapter because I wanted it to be the best, and when I felt like it wasn't, you reassured me that it was and it made me really happy.
I started this story nine months ago, back on the 15th of December, which is funnily enough my sister's birthday so now I will never forget the date I posted it lol, and I find it so freaking crazy that this whole story came from a random brainstorming with my best friend in my car (@orshii), right as we finished our classes at university, brains fried off and ready to end everything, and yet, here I am, trying not to cry again ffs because of how much I grew to love every character in the story.
A little insight: the story at first started out as a random plot that was somewhat similar to 10 Things I Hate About You (which is one of my favorite movies) as Mingi was inspired by Patrick's character and our MC by Kat's, but as time went on, the story and our characters became their own and thus this is how Love Me Like A Rockstar was created. Back at that time I was also obsessed with this song, which played a part in the story becoming a rockstar!au beside Mingi acting like a whole ass rockstar during Crazy Form era lol, and even the title is inspired by the censored version of the song.
I think I made this note already too long, so I'll try to wrap it up. I really want to thank absolutely everyone who reads the whole story, to my loyal readers who were here for every chapter and for all of your thoughts and theories and for making me smile, really. Those who stumbled upon this when it's already finished, I hope you enjoyed each chapter and had fun exploring the world I created (this applies to those too who stuck around while it was still on-going) and I always appreciate your feedback, it's never too late! Thank you everyone, and I hope to see you back for my other stories! <3

Shallow Waters
Summary: Lucien spends the day with Eris (short one-shot).
Note: Thank you to everyone who shared plot ideas! Huge thank you to @acourtofladydeath for sending a whole list about a month ago :) I am back in my Eris era <3
Eris had always loved the forest.
The trees grew tall in Autumn, little sky to be seen. Leaves fell to the ground on crisp winds and everything was constantly in motion, a comfort, like a boat rocking on gentle waves.
As a child, Eris would spend hours on his own, preferring solitude to the company of others. The woods has been his safe haven, a place he could exist where the weight of his title as the High Lord’s heir lost some of its significance.
Whenever Eris needed a break from his father, he would go to his home in the eastern territories. The forest was older, the rivers lovelier. If he could have spent his whole life there, Eris would have done so. His whirling thoughts always fell silent, and he felt the most at peace.
“Did you see me, Eris?” His youngest brother called, his laughter ringing, shattering the quiet.
“Mhm,” Eris hummed, not looking up from his book. Using the forest floor as a table, he scribbled a note in the chapter's margins. “Nicely done, Lucien.”
A moment passed before Lucien spoke again. “You weren’t even looking,” he accused, frustration clear in his voice.
Eris briefly looked up from the page he was reading, leaning more comfortably against the tree he was sitting under. Lucien had his boots thrown off along the riverbank. His pants were rolled up terribly as he stood knee deep in the water, the fabric soaked through. “I was,” Eris lied. In truth, he did not have the slightest clue of what Lucien had been trying to show him, but he decided it was best not to further hurt his feelings.
For a child not yet a decade old, he certainly had an attitude, Eris thought. Lucien crossed his arms, brows raised in a way that suggested he doubted his eldest brother. Eris flashed him a small smile, hoping he would simply let it go.
Lucien threw his hands up in the air, defeated and dramatic. “Can I go deeper?” He asked.
“Don’t drown,” Eris replied, turning his attention to the book still in his hands.
Eris read more, taking in the information and jotting notes so he could remember his ideas for later. After going through a few more pages, he paused, his stillness predatory when he noticed it was unnervingly silent.
Eris looked up to see that his brother was no longer in front of him.“Lucien?” He called out, waiting. When there was no response, he repeated himself, tossing his book carelessly to the ground as he stood.
Eris quickly jogged to the river’s edge, looking downstream. The water shimmered in the light filtering in through the leaves, flowing lazily. His mother would kill him, Eris thought, her favourite son dead, and not even at the High Lord’s hands. And Eris would never be able to forgive himself, not if something had happened to little Lucien.
Panic choked Eris as he stepped into the river, trying to reassure himself with the knowledge that nothing dangerous lived within the shallow waters.
“What are you doing?” Lucien said, appearing next to Eris in a burst of golden light. His eyes shone brightly, lovely and foreign to Autumn.
A death sentence.
Eris fell to his knees, the water cold as he reached for Lucien, pulled him close. He had never particularly liked affection as a child, and he liked it even less as a grown male, but he could not help holding Lucien to him in relief.
Like Lucien had done countless times, he put his arms around his older brother’s neck. “What’s wrong?” He asked, genuinely caring, able to read the emotions of those around him easily.
“Nothing,” Eris replied, large hand cupping the back of Lucien’s head.
“Did you see me this time?” Lucien said innocently, unaware of the genuine worry he had caused, pulling away to look up at Eris with wide eyes.
He nodded, “Yes.” Lucien smiled, dimples showing. “Yes, I saw, I’m very impressed.”
Lucien shrugged, pretending it was nothing, but Eris saw through the act. There was pride in the way he held back his small shoulders, confidence at the rare words of approval. “All of you can winnow.”
Eris knew he was referring to their brothers, but he also knew that they happened to be children of a High Lord. Whoever Lucien’s father might be, he was clearly a powerful male, Eris thought. “Lucien, you must keep it a secret,” he warned, voice serious. “Show no one else, you understand?”
Lucien looked confused, frowning as he searched Eris’s face for any signs of deception. He looked ready to argue, a stubborn tilt to his mouth.
“I mean it, Lucien, just for a little while,” Eris tried to have some empathy leak into his tone.
Lucien must have seen something in Eris’s gaze that convinced him not to say anything more on the subject. “Alright,” he promised, russet eyes glowing gold as he hugged his older brother again, resting his chin on Eris’ shoulder.
The river’s shallow waters continued to flow around them, and Eris held Lucien tightly.

Despite it being the start of the warm month of May, this day was anything but.
Soft rain tapped against the window, giving the grey office a slight hint of a cozier ambience. Viktor was working and you had made the decision to stick around in his office, at least until the horrible weather had subsided.
As if on cue, a strong ray of thunder roared loudly in the sky, telling you everything that you needed to know - you were stuck here, possibly for the entire evening.
No matter. Despite his demeanor, Viktor was a decent source of entertainment.
And just like that you made your way down the metallic stairs, a slight pep in your step as you pondered on the various ideas on how to mess with your new friend. He once confessed on accident that he didn't mind your endless ramblings.
Now it was time to see just how true that statement was.
You heard him first before you saw him. Viktor liked to hum this one tune you never could recognize but judging from the pacing, it was most likely some old lullaby. He would hum it whenever he was lost deep in his head, which was the exact case right at this moment.
Slowing down your pace, you hid behind a wooden cabinet, silently watching Viktor. Despite his back being turned towards you, the scalpel in his hand still glimmered brightly underneath the dim office light. Soft strands of his jet black hair were loose in his messy low ponytail, which would typically make you swoon if the situation were any different.
You forgot just how awful the smell was down here. The stench of chemicals and death made you want to gag, but doing so would expose your presence. Although, you should have registered his sudden silence before that thought came to you.
"I know you're behind me." said Viktor. Even with that flat tone he had used, you could just tell that he had a proud little smirk on his face.
He raised his scalpel high in the air in a dramatic fashion, his own way of telling you to come to him.
"You're more than welcome to join me..." he spoke as he quickly but skillfully lowered the metallic tool, slicing deeply into the flesh of the now rotting corpse which lay on his table.
"... if you can stomach this."
Ugh. Not a lot of people could stomach such a sight but you felt brave at that moment. After composing all of the possible bravado you had in you, the walk towards Viktor did not feel as nauseating as you thought it would. But the moment you caught a glimpse of the fleshless face of the dead man before you, the instinct to turn your head was too much to handle.
Viktor couldn't help but to chuckle, the bastard.
Not knowing how to approach him with any topic of conversation, you asked him the first thing which came to mind:
"I often hear you sing that song to yourself when you work. What's it about?"
Viktor abruptly stopped with his slicing, his body going rigid. An uncomfortable silence fell upon the entire room, causing you to tense up. Before you could even think to say something, Viktor spoke up:
"It's an old song my mother used to sing to me when I was very young."
He continued with his work seemingly without a care, never once even bothering to glance in your direction. The awful squelching of the dead flesh made your blood pump wildly as Viktor continued to speak normally.
"I never realized just how morbid the song was until very recently." he said, slicing away at the dead man's cheekbone. You didn't even need to ask him about what he was talking about as Viktor was something of a mind reader (or so you liked to call him).
"... The song is about a little rabbit which got lost in a big forest."
Another piece of flesh gets discarded. Still, he doesn't look at you.
"It searches for food and water wherever it possibly can, the poor thing."
Out of the corner of your eye, your spot droplets of crimson blood on the floor, taunting you for coming down here. The smell is too powerful, too overbearing. Even so, Viktor continues to elaborate.
"Unfortunately, the rabbit doesn't survive the winter. It's a sad song, don't you agree?"
His words fell on deaf ears as your gaze traveled up and down the body, the skilled cuts and injections leaving you gasping for air. A warm hand made its way to your shoulder, snapping you out of the morbid daze. Viktor's gaze was sharp, but sweet. He wasn't going to hurt you.
"You can always just go back upstairs, if you can't handle it."
Another clap of thunder rang loudly in the background. The already dimmed light felt as though it was going to give in any moment now, making you feel anxious.
... You thought that you had gotten used to this, the atmosphere, the smells.
What a horrible reminder of your weakness.
Without a word, you turned around and quickly rushed up the scary looking stairs, their squeaking boards giving you an ever growing sensation of being free from the smell.
Viktor turned back to the body he was working on. With a tut, he cleaned his trusty scalpel as he gazed down at the bloody remains, his eyes sparkling with determination.
"It's a good thing I started with your face first." said the mortician.
"Otherwise, I fear she would have recognized you almost immediately."
And with that, Viktor set out to finish his horrific deed. He was not sure how much time he had left before you would start catching on to the mysterious disappearances around town but he thanked his lucky stars for all the extra time he could spend with you.

Also, fun fact about the song Viktor was singing, it's not something I made up, it's an actual song my own mother often sang to me when I was a child.

Want Them Both
Azriel x Cassian x reader
A/n: another thought that wouldn’t leave my brain, enjoy!
Warnings: slight angst and then fluff
Tumblr media
You had definitely had far too much faerie wine. What gave it away was how hard you were just crying on Feyre’s shoulder as she comforted you. The predicament you were in was killing you.
The mating bond had snapped for you and Azriel which made you both extremely happy. You had been close for forever and had always had a stupid crush on Azriel. When he felt the bond Azriel had told you how happy he was that the Mother and the Cauldron gave him his best friend to hold forever.
In the middle of the happiest day of your life something else happened that confused you. You had ran into Cassian coming out of Rhys’s office and as soon as you made eye contact the bond reached out to him, snapping for both of you. Cassian tried to hug you but you had ran.
You felt his hurt and confusion down the bond. You know you owed him an explanation but you were scared. As much as you love Azriel you couldn’t deny your feelings for Cassian as well. You’re so lost and confused. You don’t think you’d be able to pick just one of them.
You wouldn’t be able to break off the bond with one and keep the other. It would crush you knowing one of these sweet males was suffering while you were happy with the other. That’s why you were crying to Feyre now.
She had coaxed the story out of you after a few glasses of wine. Now you’re too exhausted to even think anymore. Leaning back on the couch with a huff you slap your hands over your eyes. “What do I do Feyre,” you groan out.
“I want both of them but what if they both don’t want me?” Your on the verge of tears again at the thought of your two crushes not wanting you. Feyre rested a gentle hand on your shoulder. “Oh honey, don’t say that. They’d be so lucky to have you.”
While you couldn’t see her Feyre was calling out to Rhys. He was currently in his office mediating the mating conversation between Cassian and Azriel. “Are you almost done. I think y/n needs to see them.” “We’re on our way.” “What happened?” “You’ll see in a moment, darling.” Feyre rolled her eyes at the smirk in his voice.
You were half asleep on Feyre when Cassian and Azriel came into the sitting room. Az was kneeling in front of you rubbing your knee while Cass laid a hand gently on your cheek, wiping away your tears. “Hey sweetheart. Why don’t we get you to bed yeah?” Cass whispered.
You nodded against Feyre’s shoulder and Azriel scooped you into his arms. By the time they got you to your room you were already asleep. Az set you down on your bed and you jolted awake. You didn’t feel fully awake though. Everything around you felt a bit hazy, like a dream.
“Sorry y/n/n, we didn’t mean to wake you.” Az said, trying to lay you back down. “S’ok,” you mumble out. “Can I have my sleep shirt?” “Yeah baby.” Cassian opened one of your dresser draws pulling out a large black shirt that used be Azriel’s.
He smiled at it while handing it over to Azriel so he could dress you. Once you were all tucked in and they both said goodnight, you stopped them before they left. “Please stay,” you looked up at them with tired doe eyes. And they couldn’t say no to you. They climbed into your cramped bed with you squished comfortably between them.
——
Waking up the next morning your hands went to rub your throbbing head. You vowed to never drink faerie wine while crying again. You’d have to thank Feyre for putting up with your dramatics and getting you to bed.
You tried to roll over but found it impossible thanks to the wall of muscle caging you in on either side. Your eyes fly open, finding the two males you were crying over last night cuddling you. You thought that was a dream.
Your heart started pounding which caused your mates to wake. You tried to calm down as two pairs of beautiful, soft hazel eyes looked up at you. “Y/n/n it’s ok,” Az coos at you, “it’s ok.” He rubs a scarred hand on your back trying to calm you.
“Do you both know?” “We do.” Cass says. You take in a shaky breath as your anxiety started to get worse. Your eyes screwed shut, trying to make this all go away. “I’m sorry.”
Azriel and Cassian look at each other confused. “What are you sorry for baby?” Az asks, worry clear in his voice. “For not telling either of you. I just didn’t know what to do.”
“Oh baby,” now it was Cassian’s turn to comfort you, “it’s ok, you must’ve been so confused. I know we were, but we talked it out and we want to know how you feel. You don’t have to tell us now, take your time. We’re here when you’re ready.”
You open your eyes again to take in their loving gazes. “I do have feelings for both of you. And I want to be with you both. If that’s what you want.” You nervously played with your fingers, waiting for their response.
“We want you too, y/n.” Cassian said with a bright smile. You let out another shaky breath, silver lining your eyes. You didn’t know you had tears left to cry after last night. You wrapped an arm around each of them, pulling them closer to you and they hugged you back. You’re mates.
You’re mates. You smile at the thought of both of these males being yours. “I love you both so much.” “We love you too baby.” Azriel whispered, kissing your head. You pulled back wiping at the tears that escaped your eyes.
“I’m sorry you guys were squished in my bed last night,” you laugh out. “Oh, we were fine sweetheart. But let’s sleep in one of the bigger beds from now on.” Cassian pinched your cheek teasing you. “Let’s get you some breakfast and something for that headache.”
You nod as he scoops you up this time. Comfortably in Cassian’s arms your mates bring you down to the kitchen. Ready to start this new journey with you.

PLATONIC YANDERE POTTER FAMILY X READER X WEASLEY FAMILY
Tumblr media
In this AU, Harry's parents are well alive
You'd most probably meet the Potter family first before meeting the Weasley family and I have a feeling that they'd be friends with each other. You'd meet the Potter family on the day Harry was going to Hogwarts, James did have quite a legacy at Hogwarts for being one of the best Quidditch seekers the Gryffindor Quidditch team ever had. Harry was looking forward to follow in his footsteps and the two of you met at the Kings' Cross Station. Your parents couldn't come with you to drop you off because they had an important business meeting with some client in Switzerland and they left you with your aunt who only dropped you off at the station and took off almost immediately, leaving you all by yourself surrounded with complete strangers. You've never been to Kings' Cross Station before and you had no idea where in the name of Merlin was platform 9 3/4. You've asked the Station master nearby and he thought you were just messing with him and pranking him which was why he just shooed you away
You were at a loss, you didn't know what to do and whom to contact, it wasn't like you were given an official guide as to where the platform was. You started panicking, thinking that the Hogwarts Express would be leaving without you any minute and you'd miss your wonderful chance to go to Hogwarts. You couldn't help but blink back a few tears of frustration as you felt that the situation was spinning out of control. You sighed and sat down on a bench for a moment to think about what to do next. You spotted a family of 3, a young boy of your age wearing glasses with a scar on his head, along with his parents, a man who resembled the boy's appearance, his father perhaps and his mother with hair as Red as the autumn leaves were accompanying their son with his trolley. "Blimey Harry, can't believe you're going to Hogwarts. Time does fly by fast" said James dramatically as he wiped his fake tears away
His wife, Lily glared at him and whispered "Shh... what if someone hears?" "It'll be all right, muggles don't know a damn thing about platform 9 and 3 quarters and Hogwarts and all that" he waved airily as they walked past you. An idea suddenly formed and took shape in your head as you followed them and when you finally caught up to them, you spoke "Umm... hi there, good morning. I was wondering if you could please direct me to where platform 9 and 3 quarters is...I know it exists, I just can't find it..." you finished with a forlorn look on your face as they stared at you in amazement for a moment and they had a silent discussion with each other through their eyes. You were indeed, one of them. "Don't worry dear, we'll help you. Where are your parents though?" enquired Lily as you replied "They're in Switzerland at the moment" "Oh...who came to drop you off then?" asked James as you answered "My aunt. She had some work to do back at her law firm. She's a lawyer so... it's just me by myself" you laughed slightly as they felt sad. Even though they just met you, Harry could already sense you were a bit upset and sad about something, the way your eyes had that wistful and wishful lost look in them, James and Lily didn't think too kindly about your aunt and your parents either at the moment
Attending Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry and boarding the Hogwarts Express for the very first time was a magical once in a lifetime experience which would be memorable in one's life. How could your so called family just abandon you like that without even taking the time off from their work to even see you off properly? And did your family not care about your safety at all? What about all the dangerous and unknown strangers lurking around? The society and world these days isn't really that safe you know especially for sweet little things such as yourself. They decided to accompany you and show you the ropes as you tagged along with them and felt grateful that you'd finally catch your train in time
You noticed Harry's scar and when you asked him how he got it, he just had a sheepish smile on his face and replied "I was trying to catch a snitch at the Diagon Alley on my broom and I accidentally crash landed at Borgin and Burkes near Knockturn alley. The owner wasn't really that pleased with me when I smashed some of his stuff but the incident did kind of catch on with the other witches and wizards from the magical world. Some thought it was amusing and they think I'll follow in my dad's footsteps to become a great seeker like him" "What's a seeker?" you asked him with a confused and bewildered expression on your face. He stared at you for a moment and then it dawned upon him that you could have spent your life living with muggles and you probably had no idea what he was talking about. However no matter, he'd show you and teach you everything
You guys reached the platform just in time and you thanked them for their help as Lily hugged you and smiled "Enjoy yourself dear. Stay safe and have fun but don't get into any trouble" your heart warmed at her words, it was the sort of advice a mother would give to her child before sending them off into the real world all by themselves. You nodded as you boarded the train with Harry, saying your farewell and goodbyes to the Potter family. James and Lily couldn't get you off their minds for some reason, they were concerned with your safety and wondered if you were being treated well at home. Perhaps they'd better write to Harry after he reached Hogwarts to check up on you and update them about you. Just to be safe
You were talking with Harry and your conversation was interrupted when a ginger haired boy around your age dressed in black robes, with freckles on his face peeked in and spoke "Excuse me, do you mind? Everyone else's is full..." "Not at all" replied Harry as he motioned for the guy to take a seat in front of him. "I'm Ron by the way. Ron Weasley" he introduced himself as Harry introduced himself and you introduced yourself as well. The three of you were engaged in discussions when the sliding door opened again and this time, a girl with brown hair asked if any of you had seen a toad, a boy named Neville had lost one. The three of you said you hadn't spotted a toad and when she saw the wand in Ron's hand, she spoke "Oh, you're doing magic? Let's see it then" with an interested look on her face. Ron glanced at the two of you nervously but composed himself as he straightened his posture and uttered a spell which you were pretty sure wasn't even real because instead of turning his pet rat Scabbers yellow, he just made it frightened and it started scampering around everywhere till he finally managed to calm it down
The girl introduced herself as Hermione Granger and she disappeared after she told you three to change into your robes. You finally reached Hogwarts after a few hours and you were speechless by the magnificence and splendor before you. It looked exactly like the sort of castles in your bedtime stories your mother used to read for you when you were little, before she wasn't too preoccupied with her work and had time for you. You went along with the other first years led by a giant of a man named Hagrid who you thought was quite nice and friendly. Then the head of the Gryffindor house, Minerva McGonagall who was also the Transfiguration professor gave you all some background information about the houses
"Slytherin is filled with dark wizards and witches. And crackpots too" whispered Ron to you and you felt nervous, you didn't want to get sorted into Slytherin and lose your new friends. Professor McGonagall then asked you all to wait for a few moments as she needed to get some things ready for the sorting ceremony and as soon as she left, a blonde haired guy spoke "So it's true then, the sayings on the train... Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts" as everyone looked at him in surprise and muttered among themselves. "This is Crabbe and Goyle. And I'm Malfoy... Draco Malfoy" as he introduced himself and Ron snickered in a not so subtle manner. Of course Draco heard it and wasn't really pleased with his reaction as he sneered at him. " You think my name's funny do you? There's no need to ask yours... red hair, a hand me down robe... you must be a Wealsey..." as he turned back to Harry and spoke "You'll have to know by now that there are some Wizarding families that are better than the others Potter. You're a part of the Sacred 28 after all,you don't want to go making friends with the wrong sort..." and glared at Ron again
You barely knew Malfoy for 5 minutes when you intervened "I'm sorry, what exactly makes a family a part of the Sacred 28? And Harry can make his decisions for himself. Of course, if you were a part of a Sacred family, your values and morals would be decent as well. Else you wouldn't be insulting people right off the bat as soon as you meet them". Some of the first years around you 'ooohed' when you said that as Malfoy's face grew hot and red with anger as he snarled "Stay out of this. No one asked you for your opinion" and you just rolled your eyes in response. Harry and Ron stared in amazement at your courage as Hermione was observing the scene from a distance away. It was your first day at Hogwarts and you were already getting ready to fight? She looked on rather disapprovingly but part of her admired your courage and loyalty for your friends by standing up for them. Which was why she also gripped her wand in her pockets just in case she could pull it out if the situation got out of hand. She didn't want anything happening to you for some reason
It was time for the sorting at long last, the moment you've been waiting for and Harry, Ron and Hermione were sorted into the Gryffindor house whereas Malfoy was sorted into the Slytherin house. The sorting hat was placed on top of your head and it muttered "Hmm.... interesting. Very very interesting...." as you nervously looked up at it and asked "What is?" "In all my years of sorting students into houses, you're truly something. You have bravery, courage and loyalty, fit to be a Gryffindor and yet, that cheek, determination and lots and lots of ambition to make you a Slytherin. Plenty of brains, the curiosity and hunger for knowledge is in there as well, you'd do well in Ravenclaw. You're also kind hearted and have the good old nature that Helga Hufflepuff was talking  about...hmm... where to put you?" it asked you
It was quite an interesting predicament because never before did anyone see the sorting hat have trouble sorting someone into a house. Everyone looked at you with bated breath as you could feel everyone's eyes on you which made you a bit conscious of yourself but you tried your best to ignore the feeling. The headmaster, Albus Dumbledore was watching you quite closely as professor Snape, the Potions professor seemed interested as well. After a few moments of deliberation, the sorting hat finally sorted you into Gryffindor which you felt relieved about. Harry, Ron and Hermione felt immensely glad that you were in the same house along with them. You felt an exhilarating feeling course through your body when everyone clapped for you as you joined the Gryffindor table. You were introduced to the Wealsey siblings present there, Percy Wealsey, the third oldest who was the Gryffindor prefect, Fred and George the twins who were overly fond of pranking people and you made a mental note to not get on their bad side. The last thing you needed was to wake up with horns on your head or something or a tail for that matter
Harry, Ron, Hermione and you became fast friends pretty quick but you refused to talk with them when they didn't include you in the quest for the Philosopher's stone. It broke their hearts but it was for your own good, you couldn't be put in danger like that. They cared for you too much and it drove them crazy when you ignored them or just glared at them angrily and stormed off. You finally softened a bit towards them when they said that they didn't want to put you in danger and they just wanted you to be safe. You started hanging out with them again as usual and they were elated, the days you refused to even spare them a second glance was utter torture for them. Harry, Ron and Hermione were like your three overprotective shadows, always around you no matter what. They've appointed themselves as your official caretakers and grew possessive and obsessive of you really quick
Harry wrote to his parents about you regularly as Ron did to his parents as well. During Christmas your parents forgot to send you your Christmas presents and you felt heartbroken. Harry, Ron and Hermione were mad as hell so they pitched in and got you some treats from the Great Hall and a few Christmas goodies of your own like a journal from Hermione, a cute quill set from Ron and from Harry, a book he thought you might be interested to read along with an encouraging note from all three of them. Of course they've mentioned to their parents that you haven't received any gifts for Christmas and you've received dozens of parcels from the Potter family and the Wealsey family, even though you hardly knew them. But they knew everything about you, more than you could know about yourself. You've received puddings, Tarts, cakes, pastries, sweaters, a maroon jumper with a W stitched on it and a snowglobe with a cute tiny snowman inside it. You felt grateful for their presents and sad at the same time for your own parents and family forgetting about you just like that
You were even more crushed when your parents said that they needed to go to France for a work conference and your aunt would be preoccupied with a huge case in the muggle world which meant you couldn't go back home. You were pretty devastated when you were invited by Ron to spend time with his family as Harry stated that his parents would join them at the Weasley's house for a couple of days. You agreed and upon reaching the Wealsey house, you could feel the warmth and homely feeling the atmosphere radiated. It certainly did give off homely vibes. You wished your family was also like this. You were introduced to Molly, who hugged you and spoke "So you're the famous Y/N my Ronald keeps talking about all the time... it's so nice to finally meet you dear" as Ron heatedly yelled out "MUM!" as Fred and George snickered in the background, whispering about how Ron was a simp for you as he told them to shut up
You were even introduced to Arthur Weasley, the father of Ron and the other Wealsey siblings who worked at the Ministry of magic, Bill Weasley who worked as a curse breaker at Gringotts the Wizarding bank in Egypt, Charlie Wealsey who worked with dragons in Romania which you found extremely fascinating. There was also young Ginny Weasley, who'd be starting Hogwarts next year. She was shy at first but she really opened up to you and she had fun being around you. The Weasley family loved and enjoyed your presence, it felt like you were part of their family already
Percy could see you becoming a head boy/ girl or prefect and he wanted to become your guide but Fred and George kept stealing you away to their room to show you their latest inventions. They loved it when your eyes sparkle and light up in curiosity, they feel proud when you take in interest in their inventions as do the other Wealseys when you enquired about their hobbies and pastimes. Molly wouldn't even let you step out of the house when it was time for De- gnoming the garden, she didn't want you getting injured and everyone agreed that it would be best for you if you'd stayed in while they'd take care of the business
A few days later James and Lily showed up at the Burrow and greeted you warmly as all of you sat down together and discussed various things over some nice hot steaming bowls of soup and a scrumptious feast laid out by Molly and Lily. When you were asked about your love life by Ginny, you literally choked on your soup as Molly patted you on the back and James handed you a glass of water. "Ginevra, that isn't a question for the dinner table" said Molly with a death stare as everyone present there became very interested in what you had to say. "Believe it or not, some guy from our Potions class, Troy Mullers asked me out for Valentine's day" "What did you say?" asked Hermione as everyone felt that sudden protective urge to make sure you were safe by all means necessary, even if it meant getting that Troy schmuck out of the way. They won't stand for someone to romantically court you, you were too kind and innocent to have your heart and feelings being taken for a ride by some random immature guy you barely even knew
"I... I rejected him. He wasn't happy about it and he called me all sorts of mean names but... it's not something I'm not used to" you shrugged it off as they all felt anger course through their veins. Who dared to make you sad and upset by calling you mean names and hurt your feelings? In fact Charlie was ready to send a Hungarian Horntail after them and Fred and George would send them Howlers after Holwers and packages with explosive Dungbombs from Zonkos, the Wizarding joke shop that go off as soon as you open the parcel. They were seething and they all came to a single conclusion, you had to be taken under their care for your own good. And judging by the way your so called family was treating you, you wouldn't want to be spend more time with them anymore which was a huge favor for them. Besides, what good is a family if they can't take care of you? Don't worry dear, they'll look after you and care for you like their very own. You've become a part of their families now whether you wanted to or not and it's like they say, family ALWAYS comes first...

Courageous Serpent
Regulus Black x fem!Reader
Tumblr media
Warnings: Angst, bullying, physical violence, threats, fluff
“Slytherin!”
Y/n would never forget that moment. She remembered how her brother’s gleeful face turned cold and sour. She could never forget the day she lost her brother. All because of a sorting. Their playful banters turned into cold insults and hatred. She felt unstable.
“Bloody disgrace!” Young James Potter sneered at his sister, bumping past her. “Jamie—“ his head snapped to her, “Don’t call me that.” Her eyes widened at his harshness, “But Jamie—“ he pointed his wand towards her, “I said don’t call me that!” Y/n’s lip quivered, overwhelmed and frightened, “I-I’m sorry.” James glared at her, “You should be.” She took a step forward, breathing shakily as he took a step back, “No, I can’t be seen with a bloody serpent.”
His words never left her mind. She would recall all the times he’d promised to be by her side, knowing he’d failed to do so. After all, he was one of the courageous lions, and she was one of the serpents. She had never felt so alone, so outcasted. A bloody disgrace.
“I understand how you feel,” a voice spoke behind the bookshelves of the library. Y/n’s head perked up from her balled up form, wiping her tears, “H-hello?” She looked behind her, watching as a figure emerged from behind the bookshelves, “It’s okay. My brother hates me, too.” She looked at the pale boy, “Who are you?” The boy looked at her tiredly, “Regulus, Regulus Black.” Y/n’s eyes softened, “Sirius’ brother?” Regulus nodded before taking a seat on the floor next to her, “I feel lonely, too.” She looked at him with pity, “You do?” Regulus nodded, glancing back at her, “Mother and father aren’t exactly the kindest people, and Sirius thinks I’m just as bad.” Y/n looked at him sympathetically, “I-I’m sorry you go through that, Regulus.” He shook his head, “It’s quite alright, Potter. Maybe we could be lonely together.” Her expression changed to one of adoration, “You don’t need to pity me. I’m sure you’ll be better off without me.” Regulus smiled at her, “I insist.” Y/n smiled softly, looking down to her hands, “But I’m just a bloody serpent, a disgrace even.” Regulus frowned, “You’re more than that,” he reassured, “You’re anything but a—“
“—Disgrace!” James grinned devilishly as he pointed his wand at Y/n. She felt herself lift off the ground, shrieking. She watched and listened as her brother and his friends pointed and laughed at her misery. “A flying bloody serpent!” One of the boys dramatically shrieked, causing the group to laugh harder. Y/n felt defenseless and vulnerable as she floated around. “Leave her alone, you gits!” A familiar voice rang out, Y/n’s eyes snapping open. She noticed Sirius scowl as James grinned, “Oh my, it’s Reggie!” James mocked as he turned to the pale boy, dropping Y/n harshly. “Leave her alone,” Regulus spoke threateningly, causing the group to snicker. James rolled his eyes, “Or what, Black? Adding that disgrace to your family tapestry won’t solve your issues.” Regulus paused and looked at him, refraining from saying words he might regret.
“James,” Y/n started to get up, immediately getting kicked down. Regulus noticed and rushed over, “N/n, are you alright?” He spoke softly as he helped her up. James scoffed and pushed him off, “Move. One serpent is plenty.” Y/n’s eyes widened when James grasped onto her uniform, harshly tugging her up, “You’re so easy to torment. A coward and a disgrace,” he grinned. Y/n winced at the insults.
Y/n winced as she stumbled through the castle halls, sore from James’ torment. James had gotten more courageous with his torments, getting more and more physical as time went on. By the time her fifth year came around, he was creatively ambitious. Hair dye, her vandalized dorm, itching powder. He even went overboard and attempted to spike her drinks, which she safely avoided.
“Tabby,” Regulus’ voice echoed in the empty corridor, “You’re limping. What’s wrong?” Y/n turned to see him walking up to her, distressed at seeing her state. “Don’t worry about it, Reggie.” Regulus shook his head, “No, I will worry about it, I will worry about you.” Y/n looked at him and smiled, "That's sweet, Reggie.” He smiled, “You’re all I’ve got when I think about it.” Y/n’s expression shifted into appreciation, “Thank you, Reggie. That means a lot coming from you.” Regulus smiled at her, “You mean a lot to me.” His words had her flustered, cheeks tinted pink, “Y-you mean a lot to me, too, Reggie.” He nodded, wrapping his arm around her waist to support her.
Y/n quickly scowled, pushing away from her brother, “Enough.” James scoffed and looked at her in disbelief, “Enough? Who are you to tell me what’s enough? You’re just a bloody serpent.” Regulus heard this and went to step in. Sirius quickly tugged his younger brother back, making him fall into the ground. James snickered at this, looking back at Y/n, “That thing isn’t going to make everything better,” he sneered, “Stop wasting your time with that waste and actually make use of yourself.”
Y/n couldn’t contain herself, harshly shoving her brother back and pulling her wand out, “He isn’t a waste!” James’ friends snickered from behind, infuriating him, “Watch your damn words, serpent.” Y/n’s patience crumbled, spitting out a spell. She gasped as she watched her brother fly back into a tree, “I—“ Before she could apologize, a strong force hit her chest, causing her to fall back. She winced and looked to find her brother’s wand pointed directly at her, “How dare you,” he snarled. Y/n felt herself shrink under his deadly gaze, “It was an accident.” James only scoffed as he walked towards her, “Of course it was ‘just an accident.’ It’s always an accident, a mistake, when it comes to you,” he snarled and kicked her side, causing her to wince at the sudden contact.
Regulus’ eyes widened and went to help, only to be held back by his brother, “Let go!” Y/n’s gaze shifted to her best friend, only for James to harshly revert it back to him, “You’re nothing but a disgrace to this damn family, and that’s all you’ll ever be.” James’ tone was laced with venom and hatred towards his sister, showing no sign of remorse or guilt. “It’s the fact that I can hex you right now, and no one would care for you, you filthy serpent. Not mum, dad, me,” his grasp tightened around her face, “Not even him.” Y/n felt herself snap at his words, “Stupefy!”
Students walking past had stopped to watch the commotion, gasping as James flew back. In the matter of seconds, spells were thrown back and forth between the two. Just as Y/n raised her wand to cast another spell, James moved quickly and hit her. Y/n felt herself falling to the ground, harshly hitting her head. James smirked down at his work, quickly scrambling away with his friends when Professor McGonagall appeared hurriedly. Regulus quickly scrambled to her side and told her what had happened. “Thank you, Mr. Black,” she spoke worriedly as she looked down to the barely conscious girl, “I’ll take it from here. If you could please bring Miss Potter to Madam Pomfrey, I’d gladly appreciate it.” Regulus didn’t wait for her to finish and quickly helped his tabby up to the hospital wing.
-
Y/n awoke hours later with a raging headache. As her eyes fluttered open, Regulus was quickly there to comfort her, “You’re alright, tabby. You’re safe with me.” She looked up with appreciation, “Thank you, Reggie.” He smiled and handed her a small vial, “Pomfrey said to give you this once you woke up. I reckon it’s for your head.” She nodded, quickly drinking the substance. Regulus watched her sigh and relax into the bed, ultimately breaking the silence, “You have no idea how upset I was.” Y/n looked at him, confused, “What?” Regulus scooted closer, holding her hand, “Tabby, I watched him hurt you, and I couldn’t protect you.” She frowned, “You don’t have to protect me, Reggie—“ “I care for you too much.”
Y/n’s gaze softened at his words, “And I care for you too.” Regulus looked at her, kissing her knuckles lightly, “As much as I do, you’re too oblivious.” She cocked her head, “Simplify?” Regulus shook his head, leaning in and planting his lips on hers. Y/n’s eyes widened, ultimately closing as she melted into him. The two parted away, Regulus slightly trying to chase her lips. They stared at each other with pink-tinted faces and small smiles. “How was that for a kiss, tabby cat?” He whispered cheerfully. Y/n shook her head, “You have no idea how long I’ve waited to do that, Reggie.” He gazed at her, “Now you don’t have to. By all means, kiss me however and whenever you want, my tabby cat. I promise you won’t regret it.” Y/n chuckled, “I could never regret being with you.” The pair smiled and embraced each other, better intertwined.

I have had this ask sitting in my inbox for far, far too long, and this one, too. lol I finally had an idea—and I have one for the Carricks coming soon! I hope you enjoy it!
Book: Open Heart Pairing: Ethan x Kaycee (F!MC) Featuring: Emma Ramsey (F!OC) Rating: General Words: Summary: Ethan wonders what happened to his sweet little girl, who thought he could do no wrong. It seems all he and Kaycee get these days are eye rolls and sighs. So when she asks her "embarrassing" parents for a favor, they begin to conspire.
Tumblr media
Emma woke up at the crack of dawn, nothing short of a miracle given the tween definitely took after her mother when it came to mornings. There was only one early bird in this family, and he was chuckling at his sleepy daughter as she stumbled into the kitchen, where he had been enjoying his coffee while reading the news.
“Well, well, well,” he grinned. “What’s the miracle that you’re up this early.”
Emma stopped pouring her cereal at once. “Dad!” she groaned.
Ethan watched her with a small smile, wondering what happened to the little girl who thought he could do no wrong, the one who made him feel like a hero when he so much as found her lost toy. But she was in her tween years now, and nothing was the same. Suddenly, everything he said, wore or did was embarrassing and bound to ruin Emma's image for life. He missed the simpler days; those precious memories now felt like they were a lifetime away.
“Excited for the last day of school?” he asked, already knowing the answer. Of course, she was. She had been talking about the end-of-the-year party for weeks. It was a tradition at her school, and Emma’s classmates were only looking forward to one thing more than summer vacation – and that was the appearance of the Ramsey family’s brownies at the party.
“Dad, you and Mom made the brownies, right?” Emma asked, a tinge of nervousness in her voice.
Just then, a half-asleep Kaycee shuffled into the kitchen. “Morning,” she yawned as she stretched her arms over her head, startled when she saw Emma awake. “And what are you doing up so early, young lady?”
“Ugh,” Emma grimaced as Kaycee received a sympathetic look from Ethan.
“What did I say?”
Ethan shrugged as he rose to his feet and made his wife a cup of tea. “It’s the year-end party, and Emma is concerned that we won't fulfill our obligation and make her class brownies.”
“When have we let you down?” Kaycee smiled. “We’re going to make them this morning so they’re nice and fresh when Daddy and I bring them to school after lunch.”
Emma’s eyes went wide with panic. “What if you don’t have time! Everyone's looking forward to them!”
“Emma,” Ethan assured. “Your Mom and I have it under control. We’ll have them at your class right on time.”
Emma narrowed her eyes, sensing something was off, but shrugged it off. “All right. Just…please don’t be weird, OK?”
Kaycee smiled sweetly. “We’ll try, dear. We'll try.”
Before they knew it, it was party time! Ethan and Kaycee walked into Emma’s classroom, each carrying a baking dish covered in aluminum foil. The kids rushed over to them, eyes wide with excitement. Emma stood up front, trying to act aloof but clearly pleased that her parents had come through.
“Alright, everyone,” Kaycee announced, placing her tray on the table. “Emma told us you’ve all been so excited for these.”
“That’s right,” Ethan chimed in. “We worked really hard on these, didn’t we, sweetheart?”
Emma rolled her eyes the second Ethan said sweetheart, and Kaycee stifled a giggle.
“We worked very hard, honey bun,” she added. “We decided to make them a little differently this time, so we hope you like them!"
The kids all but squealed when she pulled the foil off her dish with a dramatic flourish to reveal… dozens of brown paper cutouts of the letter E. The room fell silent for a moment as the kids stared in confusion. Then, one by one, they started to understand, and the laughter began... for everyone except Emma.
“Mooooom! Daaaaad!” She groaned.
But her parents feigned surprise. “What?” Ethan asked. “You asked for brownies, and we came through. Brown E’s, just like you asked!”
Emma crossed her arms, trying to look annoyed, but the corners of her mouth were twitching into a smile.
Ethan, who had been holding back his own laughter, stepped forward with the second tray. “Don’t worry, Emma. We brought the real brownies, too.”
The kids cheered as he cut the gooey brownies into neat squares, placing one on each child’s plate. Only then did Emma join in on the fun.
“OK, OK, that was actually pretty funny,” she admitted.
Ethan ruffled her hair. “See? We’re more than just embarrassing.”
Kaycee leaned in, giving Emma a quick kiss on the cheek. “And you wouldn’t want us any other way.”
Emma, still chewing on her brownie, giggled. “Yeah, yeah. You’re all right. Thanks, Mom and Dad.”
And she meant it. As the kids sat in a circle devouring their brownies, Emma kept sneaking peeks at her parents, laughing and chatting with the other adults in the room. Even with her eye rolls and exasperated sighs, she knew she loved them with all her heart and wouldn't trade them for anything in the world.
She might, however, change a few items in her dad's wardrobe....

your writing is absolutely scrumptious and i wish i could give you all the flowers in the world for it!
i’ve had “home” by catie turner stuck in my head and i was wondering if you could write an angsty-fluffy drabble for any tog/acotar poly couple, azriel, or rhysand along the lines of the song?
footprints in the snow.
Cazriel x Reader
Summary: You, Cassian, and Azriel are in a long-distance relationship.
Warnings: light angst and fluff
A/N: aw you're so sweet, I appreciate you!! and thank you for introducing me to that song :)
The waiting wasn’t the worst part. That belonged to the stretches where you were left in the dark, unaware of when you’d see them again. Lost in a cycle.
Uncertainty. Anticipation. Joy. Dread.
You were each other's home. But … isn’t home supposed to be something familiar?
That’s what you wanted, for it to be familiar. It’s neither of your faults that you live in different courts, but you craved to come home to them each day, to fall asleep in their arms, to see them more than once or twice a month at most. Each time felt like you were re-acquainting yourself with their energy and presence.
“When will I see you again?” You asked, glancing at the clock. Thirty minutes until they’d fly out. You were surprised you lasted this long without questioning them.
“We don’t know,” Cassian looked apologetic. Trying your best to give him an understanding smile, you failed miserably - the tear gathering in the corner of your eyes betraying you. Of course, he noticed, and tugged you into his arms, into the warm embrace you craved so much. “I’m sorry,” he kissed your hair.
Letters could be intercepted, codes could be cracked, and if they were spotted with you too frequently, if word got to the wrong people - it would put a target on your back. Despite everything, they were worth it.
The familiar sound of footsteps crunching on the snow, and you flung the door open, the harsh winter breeze flying over you, snow pelting your skin - but you didn’t care. The dilemma of earlier was forgotten as two winged figures closed the distance, shielding you from the elements. Cassian slid his arms around your chest, lifting you off the ground and spinning you into the warmth.
Laughter bubbling, head spinning, you squeezed your arms tightly around his neck, pressing kisses wherever you could reach. He had to bend down as your feet hit solid ground. If he hadn’t held onto you, you probably would’ve fallen right on your ass.
Hands slid up your body to cup your face, and cold, slightly chapped lips pressed against your forehead, cheeks, nose, jaw, and were warm by the time they finally met yours. A few seconds passed, and shadows pushed the two of you apart.
“No patience,” you chided as Azriel slid between the two of you, wrapping his own arms around you - your feet thankfully on the ground.
Calmer, but he held you just as tightly, kissed you with the same sense of longing, before the standard lecture came. At this point, it was a routine - maybe even a ritual.
“We could’ve been anyone.”
“Intruders wouldn’t have been so obvious,” you countered, grinning.
Azriel glanced at the ceiling, like he was uttering a short prayer to the mother.
“Dramatic,” you muttered.
Reaching up to tilt his head back down, hazel eyes littered with amusement and exasperation stared back at you.
“He’s right,” Cassian added.
Azriel looked too smug, and maybe that’s why his shadows didn’t stop you from flicking his nose.
Ducking out of his arms, you sprinted towards the kitchen, hand gripping the doorframe to whirl yourself around the corner, lips pressed tightly to hide laughter at Cassian’s snort and teasing in the background.
Most likely, he let you past his defenses and out of his hold, but you’d take the win. Grabbing the small basket of muffins you’d bought in anticipation, having a good feeling about tonight, you slid them across the kitchen table.
Sneaking a glance at the clock, you debated asking how long it would be this time. Refocusing your attention on the doorway, you studied them as they walked through.
Relaxed shoulders, light in their eyes, and half smiles on their lips, you decided to hold off.
Ruining this momentary peace wouldn’t be worth it. If you leaned into it enough, lost yourself enough, you almost believed you could make it last forever.

I was asked to help share Rawan's fundraiser. Rawan is a young Palestinian mother and psychologist urgently raising money to evacuate she and her family from Gaza. Rawan has only raised €1,976 out of her €40,000 goal so far, and the IOF's planned invasion of Rafah is imminent. Please share and donate, and if you can't donate, please still share!
From Rawan's GFM:
My name is Rawan Nasser Ghayadah, and I am 29 years old. I am a divorced mother to the most beautiful child in my life, named Youssef. I work as a psychologist, helping adults and children overcome their psychological and behavioral issues. My life used to be filled with happiness, surrounded by my family. My sisters were attending universities every day, and my younger sister excelled in her studies. However, her dream of attending university was shattered. I used to see my son, Youssef, every week, and we would go out to the best places and restaurants in Gaza. I went to work every day, helping people with love. After finishing my work, I would attend my university classes, where I was at the top of my class. But unfortunately, everything changed dramatically on October 7th.
That day is unforgettable in our lives. We woke up and heard people shouting outside at 2 a.m., screaming that they want to bomb us. We woke up terrified, running inside the house while my siblings and my little sister were screaming and crying. The whole building shook, and people were running in the streets not knowing where to go. Suddenly, there was a loud bombing sound in the middle of the street, shaking everything, and people started screaming even louder.
The shrapnel scattered in the street, and people in their homes were burning, their screams still echoing in my head. I couldn't get over it until now. Our house was destroyed, and people burned in their homes. Three journalists were martyred in front of our eyes and the eyes of our children. We stayed awake until morning.
Then came the decision to evacuate us to the south. We had nowhere to go, and we spent a whole night with our children on the street. Then a friend of ours took us in and hosted us at his house.
After a few days passed, we went through some of the hardest nights. People started giving us mattresses, blankets, clothes for us and our children. We lived through very difficult days.
And then, just a few days later, I received the news of the martyrdom of my first friend. It was like a thunderbolt. My lifelong companion and work colleague had passed away.
And the first month passed since her martyrdom. I received the news of the martyrdom of my second friend and her son. Ninety people from her family perished.
I experienced a psychological shock and lived days without eating, just crying.
I tried to overcome the situation, but then I received the news of the martyrdom of my childhood friend, my companion, my soulmate. I felt like my soul had left and my back was broken with her death.
After that, I lost control of my life. I lost my home, my friends, I was displaced, and I was deprived of seeing my child because of the war.
Now, we are appealing for donations to save my family from the war and to leave Gaza as soon as possible. The situation here is dire, and we urgently need support to ensure the safety and well-being of my son and myself. Your contributions will help us find shelter, access basic necessities, and ultimately escape the ongoing violence that has shattered our lives. Please, donate generously to help us rebuild our lives and secure a brighter future away from the horrors of war.

star-crossed ✩°。 ⋆⸜
ten. you
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You’ve known Gyuvin for much longer. You still remembered how your hands were trembling when you first walked into the class. It was 9 in the morning, and nobody seemed to care about you being a new student. You thought that that was the best case scenario, although the lack of reaction had only served in making you feel like a loser.
You remembered Gyuvin walking all the way from the opposite side of the classroom to where you were sitting, just to introduce himself to you. He told you his name, and that he was born in Seoul. He told you that if you needed any help, he was more than willing to assist you in anything.
You were very thankful for him, and you thought that the two of you could be great friends then. However, you quickly realised that Gyuvin had his own group of friends, and you were too shy to simply barge into their conversations and force yourself into the friendship. Therefore, although the two of you were considered as friends from the very first day of school, he didn’t quite feel like one until 4 months later.
You seemed lost in your own thoughts as you recalled your first meeting with Gyuvin, you weren’t really sure why you even thought about him all of a sudden. Perhaps it was the nostalgic feeling from unpacking all of your childhood stuff from the move-in boxes, or maybe it was the fact that Yujin had just announced that he was coming over to help around the house.
As if on cue, you watched the very person you were thinking about walk into your house, accompanied by Yujin. Like a typical Korean visitor, he immediately walked past you and towards your mother, introducing himself properly. A smile that was barely visible was formed on your face as you watched your friend. You didn’t realise even the smallest things such as the customs of your hometown could be missed.
You felt a hand on your shoulder, your eyes darted to Gyuvin who was now in front of you. “Are you okay? You look distracted.” He asked, a hint of curiosity evident in his voice. You shook your head as you let out a dry chuckle. “I guess I am. I’m a little tired from this cleaning spree,” you admitted, looking behind at the mountains of boxes that were still untouched.
“It’s not like Yujin is of much help. He’s just been trying to find anything embarrassing I owned as a kid,” you continued, scratching the back of your neck from feeling flustered. Gyuvin giggled as he looked over at your younger brother. “He’s so cute! You’re lucky. My younger siblings hate me.” He pouted, he put his hands on his hips to add into the dramatic effect.
You gave him a look, “I wonder why.” You smiled, followed by Gyuvin’s fake-gasp. You could feel someone approaching you, your gaze leaving Gyuvin, and towards the presence, only to be met with Yujin. He was standing awfully close to you, which made you wonder what he wanted.
Yujin put an arm around your shoulder, leaning into your ear to whisper something. “Stop flirting with him, it’s gross.” He backed away, his face morphed into a disgusted expression. You raised an eyebrow at your younger brother, swatting his arm away from you. “You’re such a freak,” you mumbled, loud enough for Yujin to hear, but quiet enough that your mother wouldn’t.
Gyuvin only stared at the two of you in confusion, but decided not to get himself in the middle of two siblings bickering. “Who should I help? Ms Han? Y/N? Yujinnie?” He asked, a proud smile on his face as he waited for someone to ask for his help. “You should help Y/N. Her noodle hands can’t even carry one box by herself.” Yujin continued teasing, you were about to give his shoulder a hard slap but he saw it coming, and dodged it.
“Also because I don’t want to hear Gyuvin waffling about his friendship breakup. This cleaning spree is already annoying as it is.” He continued, immediately making his way to your mother. Gyuvin frowned at Yujin’s lack of empathy for his situation — although he admits, it wasn’t a big deal — you on the other hand, was quite concerned with what Yujin had said. Friendship breakup? Did he get into a fight with Gunwook?
You noticed Gyuvin looking over at you as if he was waiting for your order. The need to be nosy and know more about the ‘friendship breakup’ your brother mentioned was heightened. You told Gyuvin that you needed help bringing the boxes upstairs to where your room was, and he happily helped carry the multiple boxes at once.
You were a little nervous bringing a boy, or anyone in general, into your room for the first time ever, you never had the chance to do so back then — when your parents used to fight all the time. It felt all too weird, and uncomfortably new.
Shaking off the bad memory, you tried starting a conversation with Gyuvin to distract yourself from it. “Did you get into a fight with Gunwook or something?” You asked as soon as he settled down in your room. Gyuvin’s eyes widened a little, his mouth slightly hung open when you mentioned his friend’s name. He shook his head, “not just him — but it’s not really a fight, I guess I’m just upset.” He sighed, his hands wandering around the box to figure a way to open it.
You could tell from his body language that he was avoiding eye contact, you were unsure if he was uncomfortable with the topic of friendship, or if he was just embarrassed of being upset over something that people might assume is small.
You took out a picture of you and Minji from the box he was practically hugging, looking away from him in a way to make him feel less uncomfortable. “You don’t have to talk about it,” you told him as you placed the picture on your nightstand. “No, I do want to talk about it, but I feel silly — I feel dramatic.” Gyuvin sighed, standing up to walk towards you.
Eyes darting towards the tall boy, you thought of teasing him a little — just to cheer him up. “Does Gyuvinnie need a hug?” You laughed, you didn’t really spread your arms to welcome him into a hug, it was really meant to be a joke. Although, upon seeing how his eyes lit up, and how quickly he nodded to your question, you felt a little bad leaving him hanging.
You sighed, at that moment, he reminded you of Yujin. You gave his shoulder a pat, before leaning in to hug him. It was an awkward hug — you’ve never actually hugged him before, there was even space in between the two of you, it was honestly laughable. Gyuvin appreciated it, though.
“Thanks, dude,” he mumbled, his head resting on your shoulder. “It’s Ricky, by the way, I know he’s your boyfriend, or whatever.” He continued mumbling. Your heart skipped a beat upon hearing his name, but you kept a calm composure — you didn’t want to let Ricky’s best friend, of all people, figure out that you’ve got a massive crush on him.
You broke away from the prolonged awkward hug, taking a seat on the edge of your bed. You raised an eyebrow at him, you were about to correct him on his statement, “are you guys dating?” He asked, cutting you off from what you were about to say. You pressed your lips together, looking away from Gyuvin as you shook your head.
“Okay, I won’t feel like I’m badmouthing him then,” he sighed, “he’s just been ignoring me, for a few days now. Thing is, I don’t know what I’ve done, he’s gotten mad at me before, but it has never been this bad before. Not to mention, I’m starting to feel left out by both him and Gunwook because of this.” He started rambling, but you tried your best to listen to him attentively.
Gyuvin looked sad as he tried to tell you why he felt left out, of course you knew what he was talking about. You were there when Ricky invited Gunwook to stay on that day. You didn’t ask about Gyuvin, thinking it wasn’t really your business. Who would’ve known it would actually lead into something as big as this.
Gyuvin was sitting on the floor, it was clear he didn’t want you to see his sad expression. You knew he was sulking about it — rightfully so. You could tell that Gyuvin really cherishes and loves his friends, and he was evidently upset. Maybe he just convinced himself that he was being dramatic. Although, in your point of view, you would’ve reacted the same way if Minji left you out the way Ricky did.
You got off of your bed, you let your back slide against your bed as you sat down on the floor with Gyuvin. You were hesitant, at first, but you powered through with what you had in mind. Your arm reached out to wrap itself around his shoulders, in hopes that it’ll give him comfort.
With a sigh, you gently caressed the side of his shoulder. You were unsure with what to do, but you let your sisterly instincts take charge of your actions. “It’s alright, Gyuvin, your feelings are valid. You shouldn’t make yourself feel stupid for feeling upset.” You gave his shoulder a light squeeze as you whispered.
Gyuvin’s head was still looking down to the floor — he wasn’t crying, obviously — but he just didn’t want you to see him when he’s sad. “You know,” he exhaled, as if trying to gain courage to look at you, “me and Ricky, we’ve been friends for 7 years now. If there was any conflict between us, we’d always talk it out. Which is why I’m so sad that he’s just ignoring me this time around.” His shoulders dropped in disappointment.
You honestly felt sorry for him, you wondered what made Ricky react the way he did towards Gyuvin. You didn’t really know Ricky that well, so you didn’t want to judge him after only hearing Gyuvin’s side of the story. “When I get into an argument with Minji, we’d ignore each other for a while too. I guess it’s just normal. Maybe give him a week, and then you should try talking to him again!” You advised, you weren’t sure how useful your input was, but Gyuvin seemed satisfied enough.
He caught you by surprise when he pulled you into a hug — almost like a sideway hug, if that was even a thing. “I really needed somebody that wouldn’t belittle me for my feelings, thanks Y/N.” He mumbled as his head rested on top of yours. You nodded, unsure with how you were supposed to respond.
He seemed to be in good spirits afterwards, immediately suggesting that the two of you should get back to work. He pointed out that the most important thing was to hang the curtains in your room — even lecturing you about how dangerous it is to have no curtains for privacy reasons as a girl.
“I would’ve never let my little sister stay in a room with no curtains! Who knows what could happen to her. There’s so many creeps out there, Y/N. You can never be too careful.” He sighed. You didn’t have a ladder to make it easier for you to hang your curtains (which was also the reason why you never hung them in the first place), Gyuvin suggested that he’ll do it while standing on a chair.
The two of you continued talking and joking around as he carefully did the task at hand. He was aware of how clumsy he could get, so he was being extra careful despite having fun with the conversation the two of you were having. The two of you mostly bonded over having younger siblings. You learned that Gyuvin genuinely adores his siblings, and for a second you were glad that Yujin had someone like him to lean onto.
As Gyuvin was stepping down, you could hear someone calling your name, ultimately distracting you. Your grip on the chair loosened as you looked back to the door of your room to see if there was actually someone calling for you. The chair wobbled a little, although Gyuvin already had one foot down. The wobble did affect his balance. Out of panic, he roughly gripped onto your shoulders for support.
Your focus went back to Gyuvin as you grabbed onto his waist to help him regain his balance. The push and pull between the two of you ultimately led to both of you falling, but Gyuvin was quick enough to not fall on you. “You fucking idiot,” he laughed, whispering the curse word.
You let out a giggle as you stared at him from the corner of your eye. “My head is gonna have a bump,” you told him, which only made him laugh even more. “You deserved that for being a dumbass.” He exclaimed, you would’ve continued laughing with him, but it came to a halt when you realised somebody was indeed standing by the door.
Your eyes widened a little at the familiar face. Familiar, handsome face. “Ricky? What are you doing here?” You asked, pushing yourself up from the floor. Your hands quickly dusting off whatever that might’ve been on your shirt, your mind automatically telling you to fix yourself in front of him. Ricky didn’t seemed as delighted to see you, his hand was holding something familiar.
“I stopped by to give you these. I already washed them for you,” his voice was still soft as he talked to you, but his gaze was somewhat… cold? He just seemed unamused. You recalled what Gyuvin had told you, and you figured whatever happened between them was the reason why the air was tense. Passing you the clothes that you had previously left at his house, you noticed he didn’t spare Gyuvin a single look.
You felt a little awkward being caught in the middle of it, racking your brains to figure out what you should say to lighten up the mood. “You should stay for dinner! You too, Gyuvin,” You said, your voice slightly shaking from being nervous. Ricky flashed you a smile, and even in a situation as dire as that, you managed to swoon over him. “I’d love to, but I should get going. Let’s eat lunch together tomorrow, Y/N.” He said. You nodded almost immediately to his suggestion.
Ricky mumbled a ‘bye’ to you, playfully pinching your cheeks before leaving. When you were sure Ricky was far away enough, you let out a squeal. You honestly forgot about Gyuvin being right behind you, and Gyuvin for sure noticed how red your cheeks became. He would be a fool if he didn’t catch onto your feelings for Ricky.
You tried to play it off upon realising you still had a guest in your room, in hopes that he didn’t hear you practically squealing for his literal best friend. “That was crazy. I can’t believe he just popped into my house unannounced,” you laughed dryly, hoping to change the subject. Gyuvin nodded, he didn’t want to make it awkward with you, so he pretended to be oblivious.
“To be fair, the two of you have been going to each other’s houses quite a lot. Almost like you guys are dating.” He teased. You tried not to react to what he had just said, Gyuvin noticed how your cheeks slowly started to flush again. It practically confirmed his suspicions. In fact, he was excited about this newfound information.
He might not be on good terms with Ricky at the moment, but as his friend, Gyuvin silently made a promise to himself that he will make the two of you date each other. He just wished he could tell Ricky of what he just witnessed.

RAFE CAMERON MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
Leaving my old life behind to come and live with my mum’s new husband was difficult, especially because I hated him. They had been together a little over 2 years and he was a really nice person when they met, but as time went on he would try and force me to call him dad. Im 18 years old there was no way I was doing that. Maybe if I was younger and didn’t know anything else, but I’m an adult now.
BACK STORY BELOW
There was this one time where I skipped a class and he was my emergency contact as my mum was never available, while working long shifts at the hospital. We were both called into the principals office to discuss my punishment.
It wasn’t that bad, just an hour after class detention. After the meeting we got back into the car, “Matt I’m really sorry they called you, I used to skip sport all the time back at my old school. I didn’t think it was a big deal -“ I was met with a harsh slap against my cheek.
The blood rushed to my cheek, a searing pain on the right side of my face. My hand came up to face to cover my face. “I don’t like coming down here to fix your mess Y/n.” He looks at me and grabs my wrist from my face “Your mother is not to hear a word about this, understood” he yells through my wrist back into my lap. That was the first time he hit me.
There were multiple times after that, that time he got drunk and broke a beer bottle on the wall next to me then slap me saying why didn’t clean up the mess or the time I came back from a party at 2am and he threw me into the wall.
_____________ ____________ ____________ ____________ _________
PRESENT DAY
Lets just say I really was hating the idea of moving into his house. On top of all that my boyfriend had cheated on me with my best friend and started dating. I found out last night and broke up with him. He keeps calling me but I just ignore all incoming messages and calls.
Arriving at my new home, i unpack the car and walk beside my mum. Matt walks out and practically makes out with her, leaving me standing uncomfortable. He takes my suitcase and leads me upstairs to my room. Not going to lie it was an amazing room with a balcony overlooking the beach. But if I had the choice of not living here with him I’d take it.
After organising my belongings and placing them in their assigned places, I felt exhausted. I contemplated taking a shower, but just as I was about to, I heard a knock at the door.
"Y/n, Matt, and I are heading out for a dinner date. There's food in the fridge for you whenever you're hungry," she informed me, and I acknowledged her with a nod. I then entered the shower, allowing the comforting warmth of the water to cleanse away the fatigue from the past few hours.
I got out, brushed my hair and placed a towel around my body. Walking over to my nightstand I grabbed a bra and matching panties, I dropped the towel and slid them on.
*Ding* My phone lit up with another text from Jason:
Jason: “Baby I’m really sorry about that happened. Can you please talk to me. Baby I love you”
Seeing that message made me really pissed and I decided to give it back to him.
Y/N: “You don’t have the right to call me baby anymore, you lost that when you fucked my best friend!!”
Jason: “Y/n don’t be like that. I said I was sorry, you gotta give me some credit”
………
*Jason Calling* I hesitated before picking up:
Y/n: “What?” Jason: “Y/n stop being dramatic, I said I was sorry” Y/n: “I’m not being dramatic Jason, you cheated on me with my best friend. How could you do that?” Jason: “It was just a fuck baby, it meant nothing. I was just sick of waiting for you to be ready. I have needs too.” Y/n: “You know you saying all of this make you sound like an absolute asshole right?” Jason: “OMG here we go again, always so sensitive, get over it, so we can get back together” Y/n: “Let me make this very clear, We are never ever getting back together, not now! not ever!” Jason: “You’ll change your mind, I know you w-“ Y/n: “No I won’t, I broke up with you, I don’t want to be with you, what aren’t you getting? Just leave me alone and fuck off” Jason: “You gonna wish you never said that baby!!” he hung up.
After casually tossing my phone onto the bed, I descended the stairs to fetch some dinner. Upon returning upstairs, I noticed a tall silhouette across in the next house next door.
Intrigued, I approached the window and observed a handsome young man with a well-defined V line, his towel securely fastened around his waist. I found myself captivated by him, particularly the way he ran his fingers through his curtain-like bangs and subtly flexed his bicep.
He pivoted away from the mirror and locked eyes with me. His jaw dropped a bit, and he ran his tongue over his lips before playfully winking in my direction. In that moment, I completely forgot that I was only partially dressed while sneakily admiring my neighbour.
I offered a smile and then turned away, resuming my seat on the bed. Throughout that evening, I couldn't get the guy next door out of my mind.
The way his towel clung to his waist and the manner in which his bangs gracefully draped across his forehead remained persistent thoughts.
The following day, I woke up and glanced at the clock, which showed 1 pm in the afternoon. I slowly climbed out of bed and made my way downstairs to the kitchen. My mom, who had just finished her night shift, had already prepared breakfast for me.
"Hello, dear. How was your sleep?" she inquired, giving me a warm hug. "It was okay," I replied to her question. We sat together as I enjoyed my meal. Afterward, she headed upstairs to get some rest.
Having finished my breakfast, I returned upstairs to change into a cute beach outfit. I then left the house and strolled down to the beach, taking a leisurely walk to clear my mind and unwind for the afternoon.
Sitting by the beach and observing the rhythmic crashing of the waves brought a profound sense of tranquility. In that moment, I felt like myself again, unburdened by the complexities of a new stepfather or the entanglements of a relationship. I felt liberated.
As I watched the sun descend on the horizon, I noticed someone approaching me. He was wearing a white rip curl tank top and board shorts. "Hey, it's you," he remarked as he settled down on my towel.
Puzzled, I inquired, "Hi, do I know you?"
"Well, we haven't formally met, but our eyes have crossed paths, and might I say you look charming in that pink outfit," he commented, his gaze sweeping over me.
It finally dawned on me that he was the boy from next door, and I covered my face with my hands in embarrassment. "OMG, that's so embarrassing," I admitted, tucking my head between my knees.
"Don't be embarrassed. I enjoyed it, and judging by your reaction, I'd say you did too," he teased, smirking as I slowly lifted my head, returning his smirk. "I'm Rafe, by the way."
"I'm Y/n," I replied.
We ended up engaging in a lengthy conversation; he was remarkably easy to talk to. It felt like we shared a genuine connection. Rafe confided that he had recently broken up with his girlfriend due to her infidelity, and I shared my own experience of my boyfriend cheating on me and attempting to reconcile.
We laughed and bantered until we both realised the moon casting its shimmering reflection on the water.
"Wow, I didn't even notice it got dark," I remarked as I gazed out at the water.
"Same here," he replied, slowly extending his arm into the sand behind me.
We both continued to gaze at the water, observing the waves crashing. "Would you like to go for a swim?" he inquired, glancing at me and then back at the water.
"First, it's nighttime, and second, I'm not wearing my bikini," I responded with a chuckle.
He smirked and looked down at his hands. “That’s alright, you don’t need them, plus I’ve already seen you half naked anyways remember.” He said placing a strand of hair behind my ear.
I responded to his offer with a shy smile. "Alright."
He got to his feet and removed his shirt, exposing his sun-kissed body. Following, I unzipped my shorts and slid them down, allowing them to drop onto the sand.
Then, I removed my top, raising my arms and revealing my C cup breasts in a black lace bra. Rafe's eyes widened when he saw me standing so close, partially undressed. He ran his fingers through his hair and swept it to the side.
He began descending toward the beach, periodically glancing back to check if I was following, and I was right behind him. When my toes touched the chilly ocean, my body tensed up.
Rafe noticed and came over to hold my hand, guiding me into the water. As I ventured further in, the temperature didn't improve; in fact, it got even colder. The water reached up to my ribs, and a small wave splashed onto my face, drenching me in its icy embrace.
"OMG, that's so cold," I exclaimed, looking over to where Rafe had already submerged himself, effortlessly navigating through the waves.
He swam back towards me, stopping just inches from my face. His hands found my waist, and I gladly accepted his embrace, wrapping my legs around his waist. We locked eyes, and I leaned in slightly to gauge his feelings.
He reciprocated the gesture, and our lips gently brushed against each other's. It felt like time had slowed down. I pulled back and grinned at him. His hands moved up my thighs, his fingers lightly tracing over my skin.
He leaned back in and kissed me more passionately. Feeling his hands travel up to my butt and squeeze lightly, making me moan quietly. Which didn’t go unnoticed by Rafe, he smiled into the kiss and started sucking on my neck leaving small bruises behind. Grinding my body into his I felt the bulge in his pants poking my pussy. I started to move a little quicker to get some kind of friction.
Our moment was abruptly interrupted by a powerful wave that pushed us apart. Emerging from the wave, I spotted Rafe lying face down in the sand, attempting to recover from being knocked over by the ocean.
Chuckling at his predicament, I started to exit the water and lend him a hand. We then walked back to our house, and he paused in front of my place.
"I had a really nice time, Rafe," I said, looking directly into his eyes.
“I really like hanging out with you Y/N” He said as he kissed me on the lips again and than another peck, leaving me wanting more. He went to turn but I lightly pulled his arm back “Can I get your number?” I said batting my eyelashes at him.
He put his number in my phone and I did the same with his. Walking back into the house I was met with Matt. He looked angry, to be honest I didn’t know what was going to happen.
“What time do you call this?” He yelled stepping forward. “I asked you a question?” He said again abruptly.
"I'm sorry; I didn't realize how late it had gotten," I whispered softly, attempting to retreat cautiously. However, he seized my arm and pressed me against the wall. His other hand closed around my throat, tightening its grip.
"This is my house, and you will obey my rules and return at a reasonable hour," he snapped, slowly increasing the pressure on my throat.
"I'm an adult, and I can stay out as long—" My words were abruptly halted by a brutal slap across my face.
His ring cut my cheek, causing it to bleed. He released his hold on me and hurried upstairs.
I retreated into my room and slammed the door shut. As I settled on my bed, tears streamed down my face. I drew my knees up to my chest and wept into my pillow.
Suddenly, I heard footsteps beside me and turned around quickly, only to find Jason standing there.
"What the FUCK!, how did you get in here?" I asked, quickly rising from the bed and creating some distance between us.
"Your dad let me in, baby," he replied, stepping closer.
"He's not my dad, and what are you doing here?"
"I came to see my beautiful girlfriend. I've missed you so much," he said, brushing my hand with his and leaning in for a kiss. I avoided his advances and settled onto my bed.
"Jason, we're broken up. We're not together anymore. What don't you understand—"
"For fuck's sake, Y/n! I love you, and I know you love me too," he exclaimed, clenching his fists in frustration.
"I used to love you, and then you shattered my heart when you slept with her!" I shouted back at him. My words clearly enraged him. In response, his fist struck my rib cage, causing an intense, searing pain to shoot through my body.
"You see, when you say things like that, it makes me lose control," he muttered, pacing around as I crumpled to my knees in agony. He returned to me, grabbing me by the hair and flinging me forcefully back onto the bed.
He climbed on top and started kissing me. His hands traveled up my thighs and forced my leg open, pulling my panties down.
I tried to push him off but he was too strong and my rib was throbbing. His thumb came up to my clit and rubbed circles in a rough motion. “Stop…..Stop get off, I’m not ready” I screamed but he didn’t stop.
He inserted one finger in to me thrusting at a unforgiving pace. I could feel my walls clenching around his finger, he wasn’t letting up.
He had my hands pinned above my head with his other hand, I tried to wriggle out but that just made it more painful. He tried inserting another finger, but I was just to tight.
He tried his best but he lost his grip slightly, which allowed me room to stick my thumbs in his eyes. I pushed in and he let go and stumbled backwards.
"Bitch!" He yelled, causing me to quickly retreat to the doorway and dash downstairs towards the front door. Just as I was about to grasp the handle, my head collided with the door, and Jason's hand firmly held it against the door.
"You may have won this battle, but I'll win the war, baby," he taunted before pushing me to the ground and exiting through the door.
I slowly ascended the staircase and entered my ensuite bathroom, where I noticed a slight trace of blood on my thigh. I cleaned myself up and changed into another set of pjs.
Switching on the lamp beside my table, a sense of unease crept over me, fueled by the lingering fear that Jason might come back to resume his actions.

Rafe: Can’t sleep either? Y/n: Not since I moved here. Rafe: 😢 What are you doing tomorrow? Y/n: Nothing, Can I come over? We need to talk. Rafe: Yeah, of course see you at 8am Y/n: See you then :)
The morning sun streamed in through my window, and my eyes required no adjustment, for I hadn't slept a wink. It was 7:45 in the morning, and getting dressed proved challenging, given the discomfort I was feeling. Silently, I left my house and made my way to Rafe's door, where I knocked and patiently awaited his response.
As the door opened, Rafe's jaw dropped at the sight of my face. "What happened?" he inquired, opening the door wider to invite me inside.
Overwhelmed by my emotions, I began crying uncontrollably. Rafe enveloped me in his comforting embrace, guiding me into his room, where we sat on his bed.
There, I unburdened myself, recounting everything that had occurred the previous night, including the distressing events involving my stepfather. Sharing the whole story felt like finally having someone firmly on my side.
After my confession, Rafe hugged me, not too tightly to avoid causing pain but with enough warmth to make me feel loved. I ended up staying at Rafe's house that night, mainly because he adamantly refused to let me return to my own house alone.
He walked over to his closet and retrieved a spare shirt, handing it to me. "You can change in here," he pointed to the bathroom across the room.
As I closed the bathroom door behind me, my cheeks flushed, and I couldn't quite pinpoint the reason. Perhaps it was because, after everything that had happened with Matt and Jason, I wasn't accustomed to someone making me feel anything other than fear. Changing into his shirt, I returned to his bedroom.
He was sitting on the bed, absorbed in his phone. When he looked up as I entered the room, he made space for me on the bed and handed me a glass of water. I graciously accepted, taking a few sips. He then pulled the covers over my body, and we both laid on our backs.
As I lay there, my hand brushed against his fingers, and I felt my heart quicken. Just as I was on the verge of falling asleep, a noise outside startled me, causing me to sit up abruptly and accidentally bump into Rafe. My heart raced, and I struggled to catch my breath; it was the onset of a panic attack.
"Hey, hey, it's alright. It's just the storm outside," Rafe reassured me, speaking softly. He wrapped his arm around my shoulders, guiding my body closer to his.
"Take deep breaths for me," he urged, rubbing soothing circles on my back. Following his instructions, I inhaled deeply and exhaled, repeating the process five times.
"You're safe here, Y/n. I won't let anyone hurt you," he assured me. Eventually, I began to calm down, and we lay back down together. I threw my arm over him, cuddling in, and he reciprocated by hugging me tightly.
The following morning, I awoke to find Rafe setting up breakfast at the foot of the bed, and he greeted me with, "I thought you might be hungry?" as he extended the tray of food, which I eagerly accepted and placed on my lap, the sheets still modestly covering me, and the spread included French toast and waffles; as I concluded my meal, I reclined back in bed and drew the sheets over my face, prompting Rafe to ask,
"How are you feeling this morning, Y/n?" and in response, I lowered the sheet to just beneath my chin and confessed, "Considering everything I've endured, being here with you makes me feel safer than I've ever felt before," causing a blush to tinge my cheeks, to which he gazed into my eyes, smiled warmly, and reassured me
“I’m glad you feel safe here Y/n, I’d never want you to feel scared here. Your always welcome here, anytime!” He replied, slowly placing a loose strand of hair behind by ear. Looking into his eyes I got that feeling again, like butterflies but a more intense feeling. I really wanted to kiss him, wanted to feel his soft lips on mine, wanted to feel his hands roaming my body.
Snapping out of my thoughts, I just stared and smiled back at him.
"I'ma take a shower real quick," he mentioned before heading into his bathroom, and I acknowledged with a nod as I gazed out the window; I rose from his bed and settled by the window, peering into my room, where I noticed my stepfather, Matt, entering.
I quickly concealed myself behind the curtain while still managing to observe him sifting through my belongings, even though I couldn't fathom what he might be searching for; I watched him pacing about my room, flinging my clothes and possessions about.
Then noticed him apparently engaging in a conversation with someone who seemed positioned near my bedroom door; slipping down from my concealed position behind the curtain,
I inched along the floor to another curtain and carefully raised myself to uncover the identities of the individuals outside; my eyes widened as I glimpsed Matt and Jason engaged in an intense argument, leaving me bewildered as to why Jason was present, what their intentions were, and how Matt had come to be in my room in the first place.
Numerous unanswered questions swirled in my mind, and I realised that they wouldn't be promptly addressed; remaining concealed, I continued observing the unfolding scene, as Jason paced around my room with his hands on his head, while Matt vociferated at him, until Jason finally took a seat on my bed and glanced in my direction.
I quietly slid down the curtain and sidled along the wall to gain a different vantage point, whereupon Rafe returned from the bathroom, attired in sweatpants, and inquired about my position on the floor.
I raised my index finger and directed it just beneath his window, indicating the scene outside, and Rafe approached to inspect it further; he observed two men embroiled in an argument within my room.
He looked down at me and signalled you to craw along the floor over to him. I did as he instructed, crawling along the floor not too high so they couldn’t see.
I reached him and he pulled me up. My hands slid up his toned body, feeling the grooves in his chest. Finally looking up to his face, he mouthed “Who are they?”
As we clung to each other, I responded, "Matt, my stepdad, and my ex, Jason." He then wrapped his arms around my neck, offering a gentle embrace, and my arms naturally circled his waist, my fingers lightly trailing along his back.
I turned away for a moment, with his hand finding a resting place on my waist as we continued to watch the unfolding argument, and it was during this time that Jason retrieved a small round object from a photo frame on my bedside table, handed it to Matt, and engaged in a conversation with him.
Upon realizing what it was, I exclaimed, "It's a hidden camera!" My exclamation prompted me to whirl around to face Rafe, but as I moved, I inadvertently stepped into view of Matt and Jason, who immediately noticed me and rushed to the window; they then opened it and shouted,
"Y/n, we knew you couldn't have gone far."
Witnessing Matt and Jason exit my room and the house, and hearing their threats to break down Rafe's front door, I clung to Rafe's arm as we cautiously moved toward the front door, with a pressing question lingering in my mind.
I inquired, "What are you going to do?" just as Jason abruptly broke down the door and charged towards me, but Rafe swiftly intervened, tackling him to the ground. Following this, Matt entered the scene and watched Rafe land several blows on Jason's face.
Unbeknownst to me, Matt stealthily approached, and before I could react, his hands encircled my throat, hoisting me off the ground.
My hands instinctively grasped at his wrist, clawing in an attempt to loosen his grip. The pressure around my throat intensified, and my vision began to fade as my hands fell limply to my sides.
Rafe sprang into action when he saw Matt attempting to harm me, swiftly shifting from Jason to tackle Matt. He landed a powerful punch to Matt's nose, and as my eyes gradually reopened, I reached up to hold my neck, which was sore from the attack.
Rafe rushed over to help me sit up, propping me against the wall, his strong hand gently rubbing my shoulder. He anxiously asked, "Y/n, are you okay?" I nodded and replied, "Better now."
With his support, he lifted me to my feet and wrapped his protective arms around my waist. However, our relief was short-lived, as Jason suddenly clicked the safety off his gun, causing both of us to freeze.
Rafe immediately positioned himself in front of me, shielding me from the menacing weapon. Jason proceeded to berate me, claiming that I could have avoided this ordeal if I had just acquiesced to his demands, stating that he could have used me to obtain money from my father before subjecting me to further suffering.
He was on the brink of pulling the trigger when the sound of a car screeching to a halt distracted him long enough for us to seize the opportunity and escape through the back door.
We sprinted as fast as our legs could carry us, but exhaustion eventually forced me to stop. Rafe halted beside me, gently picking me up, and together, we made our way to the Country Club.
There, Rafe arranged for a hotel suite under the name of his best friend, Topper. After obtaining the key card, we entered the suite, where Rafe handed me a cup of water from the bathroom.
I took the water and pulled him down to sit beside me, expressing my gratitude, "Thank you for what you did," a sincere smile lighting up my face.
“I would do it all again for you” he said as he looked into my eyes than down to my lips and back up again. I leant in and our lips brushed against each others, cupping his hand around my face as our lips connect, gentle at first before he wraps an arm around my waist, pulling me onto his lap, deepening the kiss.
As I rolled my hips against with clothed crotch, I felt that feeling that happens whenever I’m around him. The feeling of wanting his hands all over my body. Having him eat me out and wanting him inside me.
He stands and flips me over so that he’s hovering over me. I move up the bed more and he follows. I pull at the hem of his shirt and he pulls it off his one hand over his head. He pulls my top off and starts kissing down my collar bone till he reaches my covered breasts.
“Can I?” He questions and I nod. He unclips my bra and throws it away. He sucks against my shoulder as his hands slid to my breasts squeezing them.
“So Beautiful” he mumbles in to my neck. He starts rolling my nipples between his fingers taking one into his mouth, licking and sucking on them. Moans escape my lips as I lift my left leg around him to get more friction.
He comes back to my lips inserting his tongue in and swirling it around. “Rafe- I need to - I need to tell you something!” I said moaning away as he caressed my boobs.
“You can tell me anything” He said before hovering and looking at me.
“I’ve never done this before- had sex I mean.” I spoke softly, fingers dragging down is chest.
“Do you want me to stop?” “No” I say quickly leaning up to capture his lips. Slowly undoing his drawstring and sliding down his sweat pants revealing his huge cock. I gulped seeing the length and size.
I took his cock into my hand and start stroking up and down, slowly rubbing my thumb over his tip and sliding the pre cum leaking out along his length. His fingers came to my shorts and unbuttoned my shorts pulling them down my legs and throwing them on the floor.
He then hooked his fingers into my panties and slid them off lightly. His hands ran back up my legs, slowly opening my knees, to reveal my dripping cunt. He swiped his thumb over clit causing my hips to lift.
He pushed me back down and dove in, his tongue attached to my clit. My mouth fell open and moans escaped me. “Feels so good” I breathed out closing my eyes.
“Good baby wanna make you feel so good.” His hands slid down my thighs and he starts rubbing my clit slowly. “Fuck Rafe” I moaned and he started rubbing faster, his arm hooking around my leg to lift and place on his shoulder.
He gently slid a finger into me, while stroking himself in preparation. I heard a whimper leave his lips as he felt how tight I was. After only a few minutes of his fingers I could feel my stomach turning ready for my release.
He knew this as well by how I squeezed his fingers. “Cmon baby cum on my fingers, cum f’me.” He whispered seductively watching as I let go all over his fingers. He brought his fingers up to his mouth sucked all my juices off.
He palmed himself a few times before lining himself up with my cunt. “Are you sure?” He asked hesitantly waiting for me to respond. I nod in response. “I need words baby” .......... “Yes!”
He pushed in slowly, rubbing soothing circles on my outer thighs. My mouth fell open and my fingers dug into his biceps. Feeling my walls clench around him, it was stopping him from going in further.
“Just relax, take a breath.” He whispered into my ear. Following his suggestion, I took a deep breath and breathed out, he managed to slid in all the way. He was so big and I felt so full.
He stayed still, waiting for me to adjust to the size. I gave a him look that he could start moving, his cock sliding in and out. My walls clenching down on him with every thrust. He began speeding up the pace, and was left a moaning mess. I felt him twitch inside me and that's when I knew he was getting close.
He hoisted one of my legs up onto his shoulders to hit me at a new and deeper angle. He brought his fingers to my clit and rubbed circles, making me release all over his cock. He wasn’t far behind at I felt his cock twitch again.
Just as he was about to let go he pulled out and he shot hot cum ropes on to my boobs. He continued rubbing my clit slowly as I came down from my high.
“That felt so good” I whispered to him. He smirked and laid beside me.
“I belong with you Rafe” I say turning on my side and wrapping an arm around his waist and letting my leg rest onto of his leg.
“You belong with me.” He whispered as I fell asleep in his arms.

Birdie
Dusting another one off the shelf. I think I wrote this one about a year ago…I can’t believe I’m just now getting the courage to post my work! I don’t normally write smut, but this was my attempt. So enjoy!
Summary: the “Birdie” origin story. Y/n and Josh are at the bar with his brothers.
Warnings: smut! (18+ please!), unprotected sex (don’t forget to wrap it up folks!), some angst, and a sprinkle of fluff :)

“Alright, first round is on me, then you’re all on your fucking own for the rest of the night,” Jake teased as he passed out shots of tequila to the four of you sitting at the round bar table. You reached over to grab two limes off of the tray in Jake’s hands.
“Such a gentleman,” you smirked, handing one of the slices to Josh.
“If I keep buying you drinks all night, then I have to keep buying these mother fuckers drinks too,” Jake retorted, pointing his finger at his two brothers, Josh and Sam. “And honestly, I don’t feel like wasting my money on them.”
“Wow, really feeling that brotherly love tonight Jake,” Sam gasped, dramatically grasping his chest with one hand.
Josh chuckled, “Don’t worry brother, I’m perfectly capable of taking care of my own lady.”
Josh then held up his shot glass, and turned towards you, a smile spreading across his face. “And speaking of, here’s to finally showing y/n here what Frankenmuth is all about!”
The band had some time off before heading back out on tour, and the three Kiszka brothers had decided to visit home for a few days to spend some quality time with their parents. Josh had insisted that you come with him so he could share is hometown with you. You loved traveling with Josh and couldn’t pass up learning more about his childhood, so you immediately took him up on the offer. Selfishly, you also wanted to spend as much time with Josh as possible before he left for the first leg of the tour.
You reached one hand over to Josh, squeezing his thigh, “I’ll cheers to that!” You replied holding up your glass with your other hand, smiling back at him.
“Bajabule baby,” Josh leaned in giving you a quick kiss to your lips.
The two of you then clinked glasses and threw back the tequila, quickly bringing the limes to your mouths to soften the blow of the liquor, your eyes never leaving each other’s.
“Honestly, I think sometimes they forget we are even here,” you heard Jake muttering to Sam.
“Oh to be young and in love,” Sam sighed.
“Okay just shut up and take your shot.” Jake shook his head, trying to hide the smirk pulling at the corners of his lips.
“You know we’re your favorites, aside from Jita of course,” Josh teased, finally directing his attention towards his twin brother.
“Yeah yeah yeah…why don’t you two lovebirds go get the next round and Sammy and I will go find an open pool table?” Jake replied getting up from the table, motioning to Sam to follow him.
As the two brothers walked away, Josh pulled you up from your seat and wrapped his arms around your waist. You slid your hands up his chest and around his neck, pulling him in closer to you.
“Lovebirds, huh?” Josh said quietly, placing a kiss on the crook of your neck. “I think I like the sound of that.” He lifted his head to look into your eyes once more, and smiled.
“My Birdie.”
You instantly felt butterflies in your stomach hearing this new nickname and you felt a blush creep across your cheeks.
“Your Birdie,” you whispered, leaning in, brushing your lips against his. You felt Josh smile before pulling you into a deep kiss. You tangled your fingers into the curls on the back of his head, causing him to moan quietly into your lips. Quickly getting lost in the moment, you deepened the kiss even more, allowing Josh’s tongue to slip past your lips. Josh knew exactly how to make you feel like the only one in the room, the only one in his universe.
“Hey!” You were rapidly pulled out of the moment by Jake’s voice booming from across the bar.
“Did the lovebirds already forget they were on drink duty??” Jake questioned teasingly.
Josh threw his head back, laughing loudly and flashed Jake his middle finger.
“We better get those drinks before Jake disowns us,” you giggled.
“Alright, let’s go,” Josh relented, grabbing your hand and pulling you towards the bar.
———
As the night progressed, the drinks kept flowing steadily and the four of you were having a blast playing pool and singing along to the jukebox. The guys had a near constant stream of old acquaintances and fans stopping by your table to congratulate them on the success of their band. Despite the continual interruptions, Josh never left your side, always having some part of his body touching yours. You had never felt more proud of them than you did at this moment. Seeing how much their music had impacted the lives of so many people left you feeling emotional and you couldn’t wipe the smile from your face even if you tried.
Eventually, the many drinks in your system got to you and you excused yourself to the restroom.
“Do you want me to come with you, Birdie?” Josh asked sweetly, emphasizing your new nickname.
“No, I’ll leave you to your fans, Joshy,” you winked at him and headed towards the bathroom.
As you were sitting in the stall, thinking about how much you fun you were having tonight, you heard two females enter the bathroom.
“Did you see Josh’s new fling? Wonder how long that one is going to last,” one of the girls snickered.
“I give it a few more months. Josh doesn’t know how to keep his pants zipped when he’s on tour. At least that’s how it was when I was fucking him,” the other girl replied.
Your heart instantly dropped and you felt sick to your stomach. Surely your relationship with Josh was different, right? You guys loved each other and Josh repeatedly reminded you how much he was going to miss you while he was away.
“If you don’t think it’s that serious, maybe you should make a move,” the first voice suggested.
“No I’ll let her have her fun. He’ll come crawling back once he’s done with her. He always does.”
The two girls finished what they were doing and walked back out of the bathroom. You felt your eyes starting to well up with tears. In your drunken state, you believed every word you heard. What is wrong with you? What makes you think you’re anything special to him when he’s just going to be leaving you behind to have his fun on tour?, you thought to yourself, tears now streaming down your face. You exited the stall and walked over to the sink to clean yourself up. You decided you were just going to head back to the hotel room Josh had booked for the two of you. You couldn’t go back to the guys after what you had just overheard.
You quickly left the bathroom, keeping your head down as you made your way to the front door. You were so preoccupied with your thoughts that you didn’t notice Jake standing in your direct path.
“Hey y/n, where are you going?”
“Oh uh, h-hi Jake,” you stuttered, averting your eyes. “I’m not feeling too hot so I think I’m just going to head back to the hotel.”
“Is everything okay? Do you want me to go get Josh?” Jake asked worriedly.
“No, no it’s okay. Can you just let him know I’m leaving?” You replied, already starting to walk away. You rushed towards the door, not even bothering to listen to Jake’s response.
You burst through the front door, feeling the cold air hit your face. You felt stupid for reacting the way that you were, but the alcohol wasn’t helping you calm down any. You just needed to be alone to try to sort through everything you were feeling. The possibility that things between Josh and you weren’t as serious as you thought they were, was shattering your heart into a million pieces. He was everything to you and you truly thought he had felt the same way.
The door suddenly opened, revealing Josh, a panic stricken look on his face.
“Babe, what’s wrong? Are you alright? Jake said you weren’t feeling good. Why didn’t you come tell me?” Josh threw question after question at you, not even waiting for a response before wrapping his arms around you tightly.
Feeling his warm embrace brought tears back to your eyes and you tried to hide the sob that escaped your lips.
“Josh, I just need to go back to the hotel. Don’t worry about me, okay?” You began pulling away but Josh quickly grabbed onto your arm holding you in place.
“Birdie, tell me what’s wrong,” Josh pleaded.
“I really don’t want to do this right now…” you said quietly, turning your face away from him.
“You really don’t want to do this right now,” Josh repeated softly to himself. “Did I do something wrong? I thought we were having a great time…” Josh was quiet for a few minutes and seemed to be thinking to himself.
“Did something happen in the bathroom babe? Did someone hurt you?” Josh asked suddenly, panic slowly taking over his facial expressions again.
“No, I’m not hurt Josh,” you quickly reassured him.
“God damnit Birdie, tell me what’s wrong. You’re killing me here,” Josh pleaded again.
You couldn’t stand the worried look on his face any longer.
“Josh…I-I I just don’t know if I can do this anymore…”, you finally answered, your voice barely above a whisper.
“You what??” Josh replied angrily. “What are you talking about y/n?”
“I don’t want to hold you back from having fun when you leave. I don’t think I could physically handle it if you wanted to see other people while you’re away,” you quickly blurted out. You were too afraid to look into Josh’s eyes and opted to look down at your scuffed up boots. Tears began falling heavily from your eyes, making a small wet patch on the pavement.
“What the hell happened in that bathroom? Where are you even fucking getting these ideas from?” Josh yelled. “I’ve never said or have done anything to make you believe there is anyone else but you y/n!”
You and Josh had never gotten into a heated argument before, and the fact that you two were intoxicated didn’t make it any better. Josh had never raised his voice at you and you could tell that he felt terrible for doing so. He slowly placed one hand on your waist and lifted your chin with the other to look him in his eyes.
“Please baby…”, he said quietly.
“I overheard some girls talking about you in the bathroom. They said I was just another fling and that one of them was just waiting for you to ‘crawl’ back to them after you’ve had your fun with me…”, you spoke quietly, your lips quivering.
“And you honestly believe that Birdie?” Josh questioned.
“Yes, no…I don’t know.” You looked back down at your feet, starting to feel embarrassed by your own thoughts.
“First of all, I really wish you would have come and talked to me before running off and drunkenly deciding to end our relationship. I know exactly who you are talking about and will explain everything to you if you’re willing to listen,” Josh said calmly.
“I’m listening…” you replied, slowly looking back up at him.
“Thank you babe,” Josh smiled tentatively. “Way way before I met you, I used to casually see this girl whenever I was back home. I let her know it wasn’t anything serious but eventually she wanted more and I broke it off with her because I didn’t have any serious feelings for her. She apparently was pissed about that and tried to make me look bad by telling everyone I was cheating on her while away on tour, even though we were never officially together. Luckily, everyone who is important to me knew the truth behind that situation. It’s sad that she is still trying to spread those rumors though. I think her seeing me with you, extremely happy, made her jealous again.” Josh took a pause to look into your eyes. “I am so sorry you had to hear those words come out of her mouth, especially when there isn’t any truth to them. You mean the world to me Birdie, and I would never do anything to jeopardize what we have. I can whole heartedly promise you that.”
You stood there quietly, soaking in everything Josh had just told you. You felt stupid for questioning Josh’s loyalty and felt your face growing warm with embarrassment.
“I’m sorry I didn’t come to you first Josh,” you finally replied. “It’s not an excuse, but I’m definitely drunk and I let my emotions get the better of me…and I think I’m just really going to miss you babe.” Your tears started to run freely again thinking about not seeing Josh every day.
Josh quickly reached up to wipe the tears from your face.
“I promise you I’m not going anywhere. And I’m never going to be too busy to answer your calls or texts. Unless I’m on stage in front of hundreds of people,” Josh teased, bringing a smile to your face. “Well, maybe I can bring you up on stage with me. That would be fun, eh?” He continued to jest.
Seeing Josh smile instantly lightened your mood. You wrapped your arms around his neck and touched your forehead to his.
“I love you Josh,” you said quietly. “I’m sorry I ruined our night.”
“I love you too Birdie,” Josh responded, kissing your forehead gently. “And you didn’t ruin the night. It doesn’t have to end here if you don’t want it to. Will you come back inside with me?”
“Yes, as long as we head straight to the bar. I need another drink after all of that,” you teased.
Josh chuckled and laced his fingers in yours, leading you back inside.
“Come on baby, the night is all ours.”
———
You and Josh sat down at the bar and were immediately joined by Jake.
“Glad to see you’re feeling better sweets,” Jake slurred, placing his arm around your shoulders.
“Just how much have you had to drink while I’ve been gone?” You giggled.
“Enough.” Jake winked at you and looked over at Josh. “A round of Casamigos brother?” Jake requested.
“Already on their way Jakey,” Josh replied, saluting his brother.
The bartender placed the shots in front of the three of you, along with a plate of limes and a salt shaker.
Josh picked up your hand, brought it to his lips and licked a stripe across the top. He then poured some salt over the top and flashed you a toothy grin.
“Oh here we fucking go again,” Jake groaned, throwing his hands up in the air.
“Oh get over yourself Jake,” you laughed, lifting your shot glass into the air, and licked the salt off your hand.
“Bajabule boys.”
The three of you downed the tequila quickly, slamming the glasses back down onto the countertop.
“Alright, to the pool tables! I still need to kick your ass Joshy,” Jake exclaimed, reaching over and rustling his hair.
“Hey now brother, that took a lot of effort to make my hair look this good tonight,” Josh said swatting Jake’s hand away. You laughed watching the twins torment each other for a little while.
Eventually Josh got up. “We’ll be over there soon Jake. I wanna dance with Birdie for a little bit first.” He pulled you up from your seat and led you over to the small dance floor in the corner of the bar.
“Now that I finally have you alone…,” Josh said softly. He wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you flush against his body. You immediately ran your hands up his chest and around his neck and began to sway side to side.
“Now that you have me alone…,” you whispered back into his ear. Josh bent his head down and kissed the top of your shoulder, one hand sliding down towards your backside. You laced your fingers through his hair and brought your lips to his, kissing him slowly, trying to convey how much you loved him through this simple act. Josh returned the kiss with fervor and you opened your mouth to let his tongue slide in. You both sighed quietly and pulled each other as close as you could, still swaying gently to the music. In that moment, you knew you needed Josh right then and there.
“Bathroom, now,” you said quickly, pulling away just enough to look into Josh’s eyes.
“Alright, well I’m definitely coming with you this time,” Josh smirked.
“Definitely,” you replied, already dragging him through the bar to the restrooms.
Seeing that the coast was clear, you pulled Josh through the bathroom door, immediately locking it behind you.
Josh spun you around and pushed you up against the wall, crashing his lips into yours. You threaded your fingers back into his hair and gently pulled at his curls, making him moan into your mouth.
“Fuck baby, I love when you do that,” Josh muttered against your lips. He then began trailing his kisses across your jaw and down your neck, stopping at your collarbone to suck on your skin there.
“Oh god Josh I need you so badly,” you whined, holding his head against your chest.
Josh quickly straightened up and began helping you unbutton your pants. He slipped his hand in past your waistband and began rubbing you over your silk underwear, slowly circling over your clit. You bucked against his hand and moaned loudly into his lips. Josh responded by pushing your underwear to the side and slipped one finger slowly into you, keeping this thumb pushed up against your now sensitive bud. He began pumping into you and you could already feel an orgasm building up inside of you.
“I love the foreplay babe, but I need you inside of me now,” you said breathlessly.
Josh chuckled, “Your wish is my command love.” He withdrew his hand and immediately pulled his pants and boxers down, letting his already hard cock spring free. You finished taking your pants off and reached forward to stroke Josh a few times. His eyes rolled back slightly at the touch and he pulled you in for another kiss, quickly entangling your tongue with his. Josh then picked you up and wrapped your legs around his waist, pushing you back up against the wall. He positioned himself at your entrance and pulled his head back to look into your eyes.
“Ready baby?” You bit your bottom lip, nodding vigorously. Josh slowly pushed into you and you both moaned at the close contact.
“Fuck babe, you feel so good,” Josh uttered, his face against your chest. He began pumping in and out, gaining speed as he went. The angle that he had you in had you crying out in ecstasy with every thrust. It wasn’t long before you felt your walls beginning to flutter.
“Oh god Josh, I think I’m going to cum,” you cried out.
“Let go baby, I’ve got you. I’m right behind you,” Josh urged, reaching between the two of you and placing his thumb back onto your clit. It was only a few seconds later that Josh had you tumbling over the edge in pure bliss. He held you tightly against him and rocked back into you a few more times before reaching his own climax.
Josh slowly lowered the two of you down to the floor, never letting go of you. You brought your lips back to his and kissed him slowly, while you both worked on catching your breath.
Josh pulled back to look into your eyes, and grabbed both sides of your face with his hands.
“Do you know how much I fucking love you Birdie?”, he asked softly.
“I do,” you replied, “because I love you that much too.”
You smiled at each other and then took in your surroundings.
“Well I guess we can cross ‘a dirty ass Frankenmuth dive bar bathroom’ off our list,” Josh chuckled, kissing your nose. You giggled and untangled yourself from Josh to stand up.
“We better get back out there before Jake realizes we ditched him to have sex in the bathroom.”
“Yeah, we’re already as good as dead babe.”

𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒔𝒊𝒙 - 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒔𝒐 𝒇𝒂𝒌𝒆
Sirius Black x reader day six of the christmas advent calendar words; 893 warnings; Sirius' family. i kinda like this one a lot (i kinda like all of them a lot let's be so fr) flu season is taking me out (ITS ALMOST CHRISTMAS THOUGH) I'm sorry these aren't longer, i rly dk why I've been struggling to write so much lately
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The chandeliers twinkled elegantly as people commerce below. I held a permanent smile on my face, ignoring the dirty looks as I held tightly onto Sirius’ arm. He squeezed my hand, lowering his head to my ear.
“Are you sure you’re okay with this?” He whispered quietly and I nodded.
“You want to make your family mad. I get it.” I said back, my mind flashing back to when he asked me.
“You’ll piss them off. Please, be my date!” Sirius begged, dramatically on his knees as I sat on the couch in the Common Room.
I laughed, “Okay wait, let me get this straight. Your family is hosting a party.”
He nodded, “Unfortunately.”
“And because your life’s mission is to piss them off, you want to bring me, a Gryffindor, as your date to said party?”
“Uh, yes.” He confirmed and I nodded.
“Okay, so, red with sparkles or no sparkles?”
His eyes lit up, “Sparkles, duh.”
I smoothed down my dress as he smiled, “You do look beautiful, Y/n/n.”
My heart skipped a beat and my stomach did flips, “You do too, Siri.”
My back straightened as a cold voice spoke to us, “Sirius.” An older woman said, her lips drawn in a tight line as she looked me up and down. I felt small under her gaze,
Sirius nodded with a tight lipped smile, “Mom. This is my girlfriend, Y/n.” I looked at Sirius silently as he called me his girlfriend.
His mom nodded, “She’s quite… her dress is not appropriate for this gathering.”
I scanned the room and she was quite right. Everyone was wearing dark colors, blacks, browns, greens. Definitely not bright red and definitely no sparkles.
“I think her dress is quite beautiful, as is she. You’d have to agree.” Sirius responded civilly, smiling as he accepted two glasses of champagne from the waiter's tray.
“Thank you.” I muttered kindly and the waiter smiled before walking off.
Sirius’ mother rolled her eyes as another voice spoke, “At least she has manners, unlike you, my son.”
Sirius stiffened, “Father.”
Sirius’ father gazed down at us and I stood tall. My hands were shaking but I needed to provide Sirius a rock. I needed to let him know that as long as I am here, there’s no need to be afraid of the man.
“You weren’t invited.” His father said shortly.
Sirius gulped, “Well- I-” He stumbled over his words and I placed a hand on his chest, stopping him from talking.
I smiled at his father, “Yes, however Regulus had mentioned it, so we assumed the letter must’ve gotten lost. We’re so deeply sorry for barging in, it was an honest mistake, Mr. Black.”
“Reggie told you?” His mother asked, seemingly feeling betrayed.
I panicked for a moment, “No, we simply overheard him talking with his friends about it.”
Sirius’ father studied me carefully, “What is your name, girl?”
“Y/n L/n, sir.” I said, holding out my hand to shake his.
He ignored it, a disgusted look coming across his face instead, “A L/n?” He looks to his son who lowered his gaze. “Not only did you come uninvited, you brought a L/n into our home?”
I looked between Sirius and his father, “I’m sorry, I’m afraid I don’t understand. Do you know my family?”
His lip curled into a sneer, “Unfortunately, I do.” He said simply and walked off, his wife on his arm.
My smile dropped and I stepped in front of Sirius. He kept his eyes on the ground and I gently tilted his head up with my hand.
I placed my hands on his cheeks, making sure he’s looking me in the eye, “Don’t let them ruin tonight. You made them mad, that’s what you wanted. Now let’s have fun, it’s a Christmas party after all.”
He smiled, “Yeah, let’s have fun.”
Sirius and I laughed loudly as we stumbled out of the Black manor, tipsy from the amount of champagne we consumed.
“The way she looked at me!” I said through laughs and Sirius laughed even harder.
“She fucking hates you!” He agreed as my abdomen began to hurt from all the laughing.
It was silent once we calmed down, the only sound being the crunching of the snow beneath our shoes as Sirius walked me home.
“I had fun tonight.” I said, breaking the silence.
“It wasn’t fake.” He responded and I furrowed my brows.
“What?” I asked and he stopped, turning to me.
“Well, it was. But I didn’t want it to be.”
“The date?”
“When I called you my girlfriend. It was fake, but I don’t want it to be.” He explained and my heart practically stopped.
I smiled, “You don’t?”
He shook his head, “No. I want to be your boyfriend more than anything, I want you to be my girlfriend.”
I nodded, taking a step closer so we were chest to chest, “Then ask.”
He took a deep breath, “Will you be my girlfriend?”
I kissed him softly, smiling once I pulled away, “Does that answer your question?”
He laughed through his nose, “No, I think you need to do it again.”
I laughed as well, giving him another kiss. This one is longer and deeper. The cold air of the winter night was beat by the warmth of his love.

Mine (Taylor's Version) Johnny "Soap" Mactavish
Mine (Taylor’s Version) - Taylor Swift
Johnny (Soap) Mactavish x Reader
Left a small town, never looked back
The moment Johnny turned 18 his sights were on joining the British Army, well to be honest it was long before his birthday, only now it was achievable. The dreams a young man had of fighting a war had overridden any of the dreams we had originally shared. Talks about a house close to both of our families, a large enough family of our own for a football team, left behind, with me. A goodbye at the train station was all I was afforded, a strong hug, one last gentle kiss, a soft “bye lass.” And he was gone, leaving our small hometown to fight wars all over the world, he got on that train without so much as a look back.
Do you remember we were sitting there by the water? You put your arm around me for the first time
As I walked the short distance back home my thoughts were on our memories together. I smile nostalgically at the memory of our first date, nervous and bashful little 16-year-olds. Sitting along the lake bank with a lunch Johnny’s mother had made for us, a few inches of space between us, neither brave enough yet to move closer. Laughing when our hands touched as we both went to grab a strawberry. I can still feel the heat of the flush that grew on my cheeks. I grabbed the strawberry and held it out to Johnny. “Was this the one you wanted?” I asked cheekily as I smirked and popped the fruit into my own mouth. Johnny gasped dramatically and reached over to grab my arm, pulling me in close to him. “Aye c’mere you thief!” His arm went around my shoulders to keep me close to his side as his other arm went around my back to grab a strawberry of his own, a triumphant smile on his face as he took a bite.
You are the best thing that’s ever been mine
Johnny was the best thing that had ever been mine. So, when a few years later he shows up back in town for a brief time, I didn’t hesitate to let him back in. To refamiliarize myself, take in the latest changes and scars he had gained. I could see it in his eyes, Johnny was flourishing, the military is where he was meant to be, where he felt at home. So, I could not fault him for that. All I could do now was ask him to come home safe, to me, whenever he could.
Flash forward, and we’re taking on the world together
Johnny and I got things down to a T. The deployments were tough, sometimes there were weeks, even months, where he was radio silent. Of course I was worried every moment, but I also knew he keeps his word, and his promise to come home safe would not be one he would forget. The times he was away made the times he was home all the sweeter. We found new ways to cherish each other in short time frames, silly selfies sent between different sides of the world, voice messages left for whenever his phone had a signal again, calls at all odd times of the day or night whenever he was available to.
So, it really was not particularly surprising we found ourselves here. I watch Johnny lovingly from my seat at the top of the room. I barely hear the words he says to our family and friends as I just get lost admiring him, but my attention is drawn back as I notice him turn to face me. An elated smile adorning his face as he speaks again. “Cheers to my beautiful bride! She is the best thing that’s ever been mine.”
Okay wow so that became more then I originally thought it was going to be. Please let me know what you thought! This is my first time ever writing anything besides essays for school and even then it has been years. I was listening to Mine by Taylor Swift on my way home from work, and I just couldn’t get Johnny out of my head. I felt like this song really works for him. And now I’m also thinking of more Taylor Swift songs that would work for other members of TF141, so let me know if you want to see more!

~your court jester~ leo x daughter of zeus!reader !medieval AU!
(I did the chap!!)
You were a child of Zeus, king of Olympia who was married to Queen hera, which whom he had triplets with, Jason, Thalia and you, with you being the youngest
Today was the day a ball was being held, where you could see your cousins and friends. You knew for certain that king posidon and qeen amphridite of atlantia would be there, along with his children; prince percy and tyson and king Hades and queen Persephone of Elysia and their children nico and hazel would be there too, but it wasn't them you were exited about.
Nor was it lady athena , the war-rstrategist with her children, and it wasn't lord Ares (war commander) or anyone else of the sort.
In fact, it wasn't even a noble person at all!
It was leo , the child of the palaces blacksmith. You felt a familiar flutter in your stomach as you thought of him, but you knew your mother and father would have your head on a platter if they ever knew.
They wanted you to marry a nobleman (or woman), or atleast someone in a position of power, not some pesant child of the palaces blacksmith! Alas, they found you weren't happy with any of the suitors they showed you, but hope was (unfortunately) not lost for them.
》I just don't understand it piper!《 you grunted as she pulled the corset strings tighter, the handmaiden child of Aphrodite,  the tailor for the royals hanging on your every word.
》what is it that you don't understand, m'lady《 you blinked and pushed some of her styled hair out of her face
》no need to call me that and I just....I dont know why I'm not falling for any nobles! I mean, there's percy, who looks like a God, hazel who looks stunning, and even from the  people who aren't nobles who my parents would approve of, like lady annabeth, aren't that interesting!《
》well, I know you've been looking at the court jester, leo, you do know he's a close friend of mine, Right?《
she finished adjusting your cosetband moved on to fixing your gown
》plus, prince nicholas-《
》He preffers to be called nico《 you interrupt
》Prince nico is dating the local bard, William, and his parents seem to approve 《
You sigh as you push another strand of hair away from your [e/c] eyes 》well yes, but bard and jester are two different things! And Williams father is a well respected bard, Leo's dad is the blacksmith of the palace who is highly unliked for his looks, not that leo inherited any, of course! But Apollon the bard does have strong ties with King Hades, so of course nico dates him! Whereas my mother and father both hate hephastios the weaponmaker《
Piper sighs, mildly exasperated with how dramatic you were 》well who are they going to introduce you to next, a guard?《 she makes an attempt at a joke, trying to lighten the mood
》not too far off, actually,  you know the soldier lityerses? The child of lady demeter?《 you sigh and try not to ruin your make-up by face-palming
》oooh, he's a catch! But I must say I prefer shel...《 Piper thought fondly of the village baker-girl, with whom she was absolutely smitten with
》ya know, sometimes I wish I was a commoner.....then it wouldn't matter who I'd married....《
Piper looked at you with pity in her eyes, before subtly looking at the window, seeming to say I told you so to leo with her eyes, who was standing outside the window all along
☆le time Skippy because idk what else to put here☆
You tapped the heel of your shoe against the floor at random intervals while playing with with a strand of your hair, your cousins have already arrived, that's not what you were nervous about, but it was now time to "entertain" the royals , which means you would see leo, the favorited court jester
》M-mother?-《 your tried to hide just how much your voice trembled, which your mother always found endearing
》w-when are the entertainers coming?《
》in a bit, my little peafowl, leodinaidas (i-i.....I butchered that, didn't I?) being the first to arrive 《
》o-okay....《 you sighed and looked out the window, seeing Piper laughing and cuddling with shel, and sighed wistfully You werent at all joking when you said you'd love to live a commoners life,  close to no responsibilities, not having to deal with potential suitors and being able to love who you wanted to love.
Nico and will were on your right, and were laughing at something,  will was nicos personal medic and bard, and they were dating which is parents did accept as will and his father were high in status.
He could date him without problems.
But you couldn't date leo
Speaking of-
You blushed hard the moment you saw leo enter the ballroom. 》my ladies,  lords and lieges! It is I, leodinaidas the court jester! But you can call me leo , and pretty people can call me love~《
zeus chuckled at that, while hera rolled her eyesYou blushed and quickly looked away, gods why is he like this...... he continued with his jester bit, making jokes and making fun of everything
Eventually,  his act died down and will started playing music for people to dance to, [I mean, they were in a ballroom] and you were just standing awkwardly on sidelines, watching your siblings and cousins dance with their partners. You sighed sadly and were deep in thought , only being pulled out when someone tapped your shoulder.
》huh?《 you looked behind you, not seeing anyone, before you felt someone take your hand in theirs 》hello gorgeous-《
You looked infromt of you, and flushed red immediately Infront of you was, who else would it be, leo
》l-leo?!《 you breathed out
》Hi gorgeous~ would you indulge me , a humble jester, in a dance with a stunning woman like you?《 You smiled nervously and looked over to where your sister, Thalia, was standing, who was grinning and giving you a thumbs up, zeus smirking and rolling his eyes as he looks at the both of you
》y-yeah s-sure......《 you tripped over your own words
He smiled and led you out to the dance floor, putting one hand on your shoulder and the other on your waist, starting to dance a slow waltz with you
You smiled and let him lead your moves, smiling widely for the first time in a whileAfter a while of dancing, you tripped and almost fell down, if it weren't for leo catching you bending down to your level, his lips only inches from yours. You blushed and leaned closer into his lips, only a breath away from touching his lips, so close you could almost count every single freckle on his face.
》may I?-.....《 he breathes out
You nod and inched closer to him, feeling butterfly's in your stomach as his lips touch yours, him kissing you being the best feeling you've felt for a while After a minute that felt like far more than that, he pulled away and leaned his forehead against yours
》Pipes told me You had a crush on me.....and I thank whatever force is pulling us together because I never thought my feelings would be reciprocated.....I love you《
And without thinking of potential consequences and pushing any judgement from your parents , the words fell out of your mouth 》I love you too《

The Butcher's Boy, Part 2: The Alley
John "Soap" Mactavish x reader, medieval au
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4
---
In the following days, I find myself lost in endless daydreams of my meeting with him. Blue was previously a least favorite color of mine--one would say I almost despised it. But now? Now I find myself evaluating any shade of blue to find a color matching those captivating eyes. No shade of fabric in my wardrobe, nor in my home has managed to match it. Perhaps the sky has come closest? Over time, I find myself yearning for a dress made of the same blue--something to tie me back to what I felt in those brief moments with him.
I awaken one morning with a sense of purpose. Quickly, I dress myself in the first dress and cloak I find in my wardrobe. I carefully tip toe down the gaudy stairs of my home--which are far too endless for my taste. I reach the end and carefully look into the foyer for the presence of my mother. I mentally clap myself over my back to celebrate my luck as she is nowhere to be seen. With a wide grin, I pull my cloak over my head and leave my home quickly.
I enjoy traveling by foot and walking among the common people in town, even if it was forbidden. My mother has always shown distaste for interacting with those she deems below our family--even turning her nose up at the possibility of walking among them. Even as a child I have always enjoyed running along the stone paths and interacting with shopkeepers. I suppose I understand why mother is often exasperated with me. Ladies do not run, ladies travel by carriage. Rolling my eyes dramatically at the voice of my mother replaying in my head, I continue walking along the path until I find myself lost in an alleyway. I pull my cloak down as I look up at the stone walls surrounding me. I mentally pinch myself in frustration as I turn to continue finding my way to the seamstress.
"What is a pretty creature like you doing 'ere?" I am snapped away from my thoughts by the gravelly voice of a man stumbling closer. My eyes narrow and my nose scrunches as I inhale the pungent smell of ale increase with his approach. Taking a step back from him, I find my back hitting the stone wall behind me. The man comes further in view and I feel my heart drop at the sight of him looking up and down my form with a vile grin.
"I am sorry sir, I only took a wrong turn." I try to smile kindly while moving to step past him. I gasp as I feel his large hand envelope my wrist, tugging me to a stop.
"Leaving so soon?" The man leans closer and I feel bile rising in my throat at the stench of him. "Pretty lady like you shouldn't be left all alone." I begin to tug my arm away, kicking at his shin as he only holds me tighter.
"Let me go!" The man groans in pain as I hit him with my other elbow. His grip loosens and I immediately step past him--only to be pushed down to the ground as he shoves me down roughly. I mumble a string of curses as my palms hit the stone and I hurriedly scuffle backwards. "Please..." I let out a whimper, looking up at the man fearfully.
"Aye!" My head snaps up as I hear the loud voice of another person booming from the end of the alleyway. Before my eyes can focus on the figure, they come rushing down and quickly tackle the man. He is knocked down in a series of loud punches, and the unknown figure stands up in a huff. I begin scooting my body away from the scene. Large hands reach out to grab me and I instantly kick my leg out in defense. "Easy, easy lass." I wipe at my glossy eyes and look up as my brain begins to register the familiar accent.
"Johnny?" I whisper quietly, meeting the blue eyes of my savior. He takes a step closer and grabs my arms to help me stand. I rest my hands on his forearms and let out a sob of relief. He quickly pulls me in for an embrace, holding me tightly against his chest.
"Shh, bonnie. It's alright." I grasp at the cloth of his shirt tightly as I bury my face against his chest, breathing deeply as I try to calm myself. I expect to be met by the scent of raw meat, blood, and steel--instead I'm met with the comforting scent of grass and firewood. After a few moments of standing in his embrace, I realize my actions. I quickly pull away, wiping at my tears hurriedly.
"I--sorry." Johnny looks down at me incredulously and only shakes his head at my apology. I suddenly feel silly by my words, turning away from him with reddened cheeks. He grabs my wrists softly, tracing over the skin of my palms with a frown. Only then, I register the stinging, bloodied skin from landing harshly on the ground earlier.
"Let's get ye cleaned up, bonnie." I find myself lost yet again in his kind eyes and only muster a nod of agreement. He leads me silently out of the alleyway and down the cobbled streets. I'm instantly comforted by his presence--his bulky frame towers over me and provides a sense of protection as we walk. Our walk ends at the door of a small home and he opens the door for me with a grin. "Welcome in." I walk inside carefully, looking around the interior carefully. The home is small--made of cracked stone walls and left with mild decoration. However as I take several steps inside, this small abode begins to feel more of a home than my own. Warm blankets and small trinkets strewn about show insight in the life of its owner.
I turn back to look at Johnny as he stands almost nervously against one of the walls. "It's perfect." His demeanor transforms as he smiles widely over at me.
"Glad ye like it, lass. Now let's get ye cleaned up." Johnny walks away into one of the rooms in the home and comes back with a wet towel and bandages. "May I?" He gestures to my hands and I raise them up. Johnny quickly sets to work, cleaning my palms carefully. His brows furrow in thought and I barely notice the stinging of my palms as my gaze lands on him biting his lip. "Lass?" My eyes flicker up to meet the blue of his eyes staring down at me.
"Hm?" I mumble, before realizing that he has finished wrapping my hands. "Oh, sorry." I feel the burning of my embarrassment and pull my hands away. He only smiles in response and I swear I notice his cheeks darken--although I tell myself it is the lighting.
"Would ye like a cup of tea?" I nod and he motions for me to sit on his sofa while he disappears in the small kitchen. I take a seat, pulling my cloak further around my body as I mentally berate myself for my staring. Johnny reenters moments later with two cups and takes a seat next to me. He watches me take a sip and smiles when I hum at the relief of its warmth. "Yer lucky I found ye earlier, what were ye doing alone anyway?" Johnny looks at me worriedly and I set my cup down next to us.
"I...wanted some fresh air." I lie. I was definitely not on my way to the seamstress to find a fabric the color of your eyes.
"Well, ye ought to let me walk ye back home. I won't let ye go alone." My heart flutters at the protective tone of his voice and I nod.
"It is not necessary, but if you insist..."
"I insist." Johnny cuts me off from continuing any further and I meet his gaze once more. I can only nod dumbly as I am again lost in his eyes. Johnny reaches a hand out to brush a stray hair behind my ear and I silently pray that he cannot feel the warmth of my cheeks.
"Thank you for helping me." I whisper softly.
I feel his thumb brush against my cheek to wipe at a stray tear rolling down and I am once again lost in the sensation. "I never want to see ye hurt. Please be careful for me, alright? The streets aren't safe for a dove like ye."
"I just...need to get out of my house sometimes." Johnny looks over at me with a frown before nodding in understanding.
"Well, if ye insist on walking about then I insist on accompanying ye." My eyes widen and I carefully watch his expression for any sign of discontent--however his gaze never wavers.
"I suppose...I might enjoy that." Johnny lets out a sigh of relief at our agreement.
We spend the next several hours talking over tea until I realize I will be late for dinner, and he walks me home. Arm in arm, we walk along the cobblestone together as we continue talking. I find myself laughing more in one evening than I have in my entire life. After we reach the gates of my family manor, I pull away from him hesitantly. "Thank you for accompanying me home." My hands fiddle with the skirt of my dress as I smile up at him.
"Of course." Johnny's crooked grin beams down at me. He pushes his hands into the pockets of his pants and looks down at his feet for a moment. "Would ye like to walk about tomorrow?"
I nod almost too quickly and reply eagerly. "Yes!" Johnny smiles once more before grabbing my hand and kissing it gently.
"I'll see ye tomorrow then, lass." He continues to hold my hand tenderly and I feel our bodies drift closer. His eyes flicker quickly down to my lips and I begin to pray for a kiss on more than my knuckles tonight.
Our silence is broken by a sudden shout. "Lady Y/N! I have been searching for you all day!" Clara runs up from behind the gate with a huff. I quickly step away from Johnny and tug my hand away from his grasp to look at Clara. The older woman shoots me a mild glare before noticing Johnny standing beside me. "Oh! Mr. Mactavish, what a surprise." Clara's steely grey eyes flicker between the two of us and I can almost picture the gears turning in her head.
Johnny waves at her with a smile. "Hi lass." I quickly open the gate and slip through, grabbing Clara by the arm before she can begin her questioning. I wave to him quickly and tug her along back to the home. My heart continues to beat rapidly as we walk up the steps of my home.
"What were the two of you--" Clara begins, looking at me in disbelief.
"Nothing!" I squeak, pulling her inside. Clara only narrows her eyes in response as I walk quickly up the stairs to my bedroom. I shut my door and fall on my bed in a heap. Hugging a pillow against my chest I close my eyes with a wide smile--the endless possibilities of what tomorrow will bring playing through my head.
