Maybe, he does it to recruit them, maybe it was because of the rumour going around that Tom is Dumbledore's unwanted son (due to the sheer amount of awkwardness and no kind smiles from albus to Tom)/Harry is Dumbledore's son due to them having such a close relationship (outsider's pov)? Or maybe it was because he wanted to recruit them as they both fought his followers and survived (Harry bc he's harry I can't just run away Potter and Tom because bro got caught in the middle of the battle). OR WHATEVER it is I just think it would so funny.

I really don’t wanna compare peoples’ traumas, but after Shawn had been shot, kidnapped, shoved in the back of the trunk (for I’m guessing one hour minimum), chased through the woods, kidnapped again, and had jumped onto the hood of a moving car to escape one of his kidnappers, no one had treated him anywhere close to as nicely as they’re all treating Jules after her kidnapping

So this last spell seems to be some kinda trauma bubble, anyone in or too close to it gets trapped in their own head and forced to relive their worse memories/traumas until the caster can be calmed down.

If you work for belos then you would definitely see some traumatic shit while under this spell and with a fight going on behind you it would probably be pretty hard to calm yourself down meaning these three are all kinda screwed until Hunter can calm Gus down.
