Would you guys ever consider buying an adoptable/OTA from me??
I've been thinking about making a few adoptables and/or OTAs for other ppl to buy since I've haven't done so in a very long time (and only got paid in DA Points lol)!
We know many of you are thinking, “Hey, this is a Francis Lombardi,” and you’re actually pretty much right, but the truth is a little more complicated.
We know in fact that this model, built by the Piedmontese Francis Lombardi, has taken on various names and different characteristics: the first that comes to mind is the Abarth Scorpione, the most sought-after version ever, but this car in…
Out of curiosity, why the choice to go with public domain characters with Of Thieves and Swords?
Big public domain crossovers have always been a fascination of mine! From catching snippets of jekyll and hyde in League of Extraordinary Gentlemen as a kid, as an adult I've been a noted enjoyed of stuff like The Wolf Among Us, Once Upon a Time, and the Fate series! I love the constant adaption and reinterpretation, how figures like Red Riding Hood and Viktor Frankenstein have footprints in the cultural consciousness and what you can DO with that. Whether you play the interpretation straight or subvert it. Idk, maybe its a bit self-indulgent but as someone who's passion is storytelling theres something magical about these characters humans have been finding ways to tell different stories about for incredibly long periods of time.
I would be remiss if i also didn't mention OTAS was also inspired by talks with @biteghost, one of my closest friends and a storyteller i'm consistently inspired by. Public domain crossovers are a fixation for her as well, and it was in talking with her about the one she's working on (A Cure For Athanasia) i was like "oh shit i think i've also got one of these in me"
long story short, i love characters in the public domain! I love learning about new ones and immediately getting inspired to put a spin on them, it's just really fun!
