Marnie (Neo 3) and Acht are cousins through their mothers. Also they both got that non-binary swag.

Hiro (3) and Octavia (8) got married in early 2022 roughly around when the cherry blossoms bloom in Japan

I ship Acht with Marie, not sure why but they just seemed cute together.

there's a part in the triple does au where Meggy and Callie are put through it because they both remembered something mortifying during the time they were brainwashed by the hypnoshades sometime after Splatoon 2

That being that they may have did some... Not very family friendly stuff

Tensions are high, Octavia is probably gonna get murdered, Callie is fearing for her life and Meggy wants to die

Thankfully the whole mess was cleared up thanks to some security footage 8 found and thankfully they did NOT do the forbidden tango nor did they make out sloppy style while under the influence of the shades THANK SQUOD

Nobody asked me for my opinion on the controversy that dropped today when the Sonic Movie cast pay rate was revealed, which is fair ig since I try to stay positive on this blog. But in case you're wondering, yeah as a certified AFAB™ I'm pissed, but not really specifically at the Sonic crew. Actor pay rates are usually negotiated between agents and the production companies so just like all the other problems with the Sonic movies, this is most likely an issue with Paramount and their patented dumbfuckery. Disclaimer that obviously it could very well be a Sonic crew issue as well, obviously I don't know the inner workings of the entire film production.

Also, if you're mad about this: please be mad about the pay gap that has been going on as long as Hollywood has been alive. This isn't a problem unique to the SCU. I know the phrase "pay gap" is thrown around a whole lot but do you guys actually know how big an issue it is?

Recent percentages are that male and female actors have "a wage difference of about 25 percent," with an estimated difference of $1-2million between star-power men and star-power women.[x][x] Basic Instinct star Sharon Stone said she made $500k to Michael Douglas's $14mil– and when she was asked to be lead in a film being made in ~2022, the lead male, who was "new", was going to be paid $8-9mil, with her salary still at $500k. Last December, Biggest Monopoly In The World Disney was sued by 9,000 women over their pay gap.

This article is from 2019 but brings up some big fucking pay gaps between leads– for instance, Gillian Anderson was offered half of what David Duchovny was for the X-Files reboot as one of the two main fucking characters, Amanda Seyfried has disclosed she made 10% of what her male co-star made on an undisclosed film, Natalie Portman made 1/3 of the salary of Ashton Kutcher in No Strings Attached, and Ellen Pompeo, the titular character of Grey's Anatomy, was paid less than the actor playing her love interest, Patrick Dempsey. In fact, Dempsey was being paid almost double what she was.

However, BIG issue with the 2019 article: it only focuses on what White actors are being paid. Research shows that Black actresses make 57 cents to every dollar white actors make on a good day. Viola Davis, one of the most popular and talented actresses of our generation, has said that black women "get probably a tenth of what a Caucasian woman gets. And I'm number one on the call sheet." Octavia Spencer had to collaborate with Jessica Chastain to make sure they both got paid the same amount of money on a film they both worked on, and revealed that her new salary increased 500% afterwards.

At the end of last year, while promo-ing The Color Purple, Taraji P. Henson broke into tears while talking about how little she's being paid when compared to her white and male contemporaries. And when she talked about the gap, I find it so fucking frustrating that the general audience response was to immediately blame the only Black female producer on the film. I have a million gripes with Oprah Winfrey but TCP cast has said that she herself managed to fix a lot of the problems on set and was nothing but supportive to them. Oh, and there were a lot of problems on set, including a lack of food and dressing space for the main actors. And this is all from celebrity women. Just think about how Hollywood is treating women who don't have the star power to speak up.

Of course this isn't even a problem solo to Hollywood, let alone Paramount, let alone just one movie. And honestly it was probably really sad that when I saw the pay rate for the Sonic 3 cast, I wasn't even surprised, because I've seen worse on bigger projects.

TLDR: tournament rules for voters will probably be posted tomorrow and then Round 1 polls will start being posted from Friday to Monday. Everything below just describes how I set the tournament and whose competing.

(this is a long post so I'm gonna cut here):

I calculated the results from this poll and found that despite how the results look, 50.1% of votes wanted some kind of categorical system for the tournament versus the 31.5% that wanted it to be totally random. Of the "Yes" options, the most popular option was separating the tournament by Gender alone, so here's the category winning titles:

As far as I know, there aren't any canon non-binary characters in the hellaverse. If I'm wrong about this, please let me know and they'll win "Most Fuckable Non-Binary Hellaverse Character" by default.

Having said, I had a few self-assigned rules when creating the rosters:

Every character must be 20 years old AT MINIMUM because it's an even number and it weeds out any weird/gross "barely 18" nonsense (sorry Octavia, you're too babey)

Only characters that have been shown in my previous FMK posts will be competing (sorry Baxter and Arackniss, I don't know you yet)

Only characters that have shown up in episodes/shorts for "Helluva Boss" or "Hazbin Hotel" are allowed to compete (sorry Vassago, you've only shown up in the trailers)

If you think any of these rules should be changed/more rules should be added, please let me know and I'll consider it.

I've had the splatoon brainrot for weeks now, and so in an effort to get it out of my head (it will fail), I have decided to make an actual post for the first time in who knows how long

SO, here is my Splatoon 3 character:

Octavia

AKA Grape AKA New Agent 3/Neo

Octoling, Splatana Wiper main, Preferred Ink Color Grape Purple

Generally calm and serious, but she does have an interest in Splatlands culture and history, and she's very fond of Tableturf Battle

-Hailing from the domes, she came to the surface after Splatoon 2, having volunteered to 'migrate' to the surface after a string of dome failures, caused by a lack of resources, lead to a housing crisis for the remaining Octarians (Resources were diverted to other domes in order to repair critical damages caused by Agents 3 and 4)

-No relation to Octavio, Octavia is just the feminine form of Octavio, and is a relatively common name

-Decided to make her way to the Splatlands instead of Inkopolis after leaving, in order to avoid running into an old friend who deserted after the Calamari Inkantation

-Said old friend is Agent 8, who only vaguely remembers having had a close friend in her unit, and that they had an argument/fight when Eight deserted

-While traveling towards the Splatlands, Octavia found the wandering Little Buddy, and they decided to travel together and became close friends

-After reaching Splatsville she started doing Turf Wars to save up for an apartment in the city instead of a tent out in the Splatlands

-Eventually, after a discussion with Little Buddy about Salmonid culture and their opinion on Grizzco, Octavia decided to start working at Grizzco with Little Buddy's blessing

Splatoon 3 Return of the Mammalians spoilers below

-After a few weeks in Splatsville she noticed Cuttlefish in his sewer grate, approached to ask him what his deal was, then gave chase when he ran away

-In the Crater she was recruited before she got a chance to speak, and decided to stick with it in order to investigate why, exactly, there were Octarians stealing Zapfish in the Crater

-She's not very comfortable being called Agent 3, but doesn't really get the chance to bring it up in the Crater

-When DJ Octavio showed up, she got caught up in battle before she had a chance to talk to him, and she then fell into Alterna before she could get a chance to cut in between him and Cuttlefish

-Inside of Alterna, she has a short-lived tense standoff with Callie, Marie and Captain 3, but eventually she decides to work with them to investigate Alterna (and also save Cuttlefish along the way)

-Here she makes her distaste for the name Three known, so she is instead referred to as Neo

-She gets very invested in completing the Alterna Logs, feeling a sort of kinship with the humans of Alterna who were forced to live underground, with only a fake sky to let them know what life on the surface was like

-She is generally unimpressed by Deep Cuts shenanigans, though after ROTM is over she becomes friends with them and experiences the wonder of Big Man Hugs (which does get her a bit teary-eyed because dangit, this is her first real hug ever since she left the domes)

-Also after ROTM, she stops doing Salmon Runs for a while, up until the NNSS makes sure that Mr. Grizz isn't still running the company

-Afterwards, although she does still work there sometimes, she makes most of her money playing Turf Wars and selling Power Eggs from Alterna

Octavia Takowasa (Agent 8):

-Has been trapped in the Spire of Order for 2 weeks, she doesn't know how she got there, but she wants to escape

-She has no memory of her past (thanks to the Tartar device in her right eye)

-She doesn't talk too much, she is very quiet most of the time, she will only talk with people she trusts

-Sometimes, Tartar's device causes her to become very aggressive and try to attack anyone near her

-According to her, her name is "Eight", if someone tries to call her by her real name "Octavia", she will think they are confusing her with someone else

-Her voice is very weak, she talks very slow

-She doesn't usually show any type of emotion, but she looks sad almost all the time

&&.      ◜ tw:  none  ◞     %     …    🦋    ›     OCTAVIA  are  an  active ,  eight  piece  girl  group  that  debuted  back  in  march  of  2008 .  they  were  the  first  ever  group  to  come  out  of  evergreen ,  reaching  great  success  early  on  which  solidified  their  spot  as  one  of  the  top  2nd  generation  girl  groups  within  the  idol  industry .  the  group  is  mainly  recognized  for  their  pop  music  that  constantly  goes  viral  during  the  summer  due  to  fitting  the  season  best  &&.  for  the  girls  being  featured  throughout  the  entertainment  and  music  industry  as  well-received  actresses ,  producers ,  choreographers ,  models ,  and  more .  their  reputation  remained  spotless  and  pristine  for  years  up  until  the  departure  of  kyungri  in  2015  just  shortly  after  promoting  her  debut  solo  ep .  fans  speculated  that  the  company  always  wanted  to  make  her  go  solo  at  some  point  since  2013  after  she  started  being  absent  from  group  activities  to  focus  more  on  her  individual  work .  it  became  even  more  prevalent  when  rumors  began  circulating  that  the  group  would  be  facing  possible  disbandment  or  that  none  of  the  members  re-signed  their  contracts  just  3  months  after  the  event .  evergreen  were  quick  to  dismiss  the  news  but  did  confirm  that  the  girls  would  be  going  on  a  short  hiatus  so  they  could  work  more  on  their  solo  activities .  the  messy  aftermath  of  kyungri’s  departure  was  peak  entertainment  for  fans  as  angela  was  seen  rolling  her  eyes  at  kyungri’s  screen  time  during  an  interview ,  yujin  jokingly  saying  they  were  always  7  when  on  vlive  for  their  anniversary ,  and  the  group  looking  disinterested  during  the  former  member’s  performance  at  mama  with  eunmi  and  mina  even  laughing .  this  led  to  fans  thinking  that  her  departure  held  more  meaning  than  they  thought  which  was  slightly  confirmed  by  angela  after  participating  on  lee  youngji’s  drinking  show  in  2022  where  she  stated  that  no  one  was  surprised  when  it  happened ,  just  shocked  that  it  did .

Triple Dose Timeline (canon is puddy in my hands)

here's an explanation on how exactly Meggy got fucked over by the universe 3 times

note: The following events replace the anime arc because everyone was to busy searching for Meggy that the anime challenge never happened

Meggy was kidnapped by a group of octarians (who were ordered to do so because DJ Octavia discovered Agent 3 had a sister and had a big brained idea to not only brainwash Callie but also her as well) and got brainwashed by a second pair of hypnoshades that Octavia made (though she didn't quite go down without a fight, Octavia can attest to that)

Agent 3 (Paige) was too busy on a separate mission to go looking for Meggy much to their frustration so Marie recruiting Harbor as Agent 4 came in clutch and also Mario coming along because of course he does which both makes things easier but also more complicated

However during the final battle around the time Marie and Sheldon came barging in the platform Meggy was on ended up collapsing and she fell into the abyss below much to Mario's and everyone else's horror

Fast forward a couple weeks and after hundreds of dead ends and countless sleepless nights, the NSS were finally able to find a lead to where Meggy ended up (and also got confirmation that she still lives thank god, Paige cried a lot at the news out of relief) and so Cuttlefish and Agent 3 are off without hesitation to search for Agent 3's sister in the Metro

Meanwhile Meggy has been Sanitised by Commander Tartar who found her unconscious in the subway, and is currently accompanying Cuttlefish, 8, Desti and The Octoposse who are all stuck in this medical nightmare hell hole because of course and all (well except cuttlefish) of them are missing their memories

Cuttlefish is really worried how 3 will react to their sister being well, green now and zombie like

However despite being sanitised, partially emotionless and amnesiac she is still technically Meggy so sparks still fly between her and Desti much to the others chagrin

At least it makes solving the puzzles easier (especially the 8 ball thank GOD)

The plot of octo expansion stays relatively the same albeit with more people and a more chaotic group chat

They all end up having to team up against a partially sanitised Paige who is somehow stronger than in canon which is terrifying, and it took everything to knock them out

When the boss fight with the giant statue and Tartar happens (who wants to blow up the world because it's gone insane and so has he from the meme energy) Meggy, Desti and the Octoposse jump in the assist 8 in inking the statue to high heaven

Sanitised Meggy is basically a watered down version of canon Meggy having her emotions and memories stripped from her, she still has the desire to win splatfest ofc but she doesn't quite have the drive that made her want her to, and this deeply scares Paige and Mario

A couple years have passed since the incident and Meggy is MOSTLY back to her old self, still a bit amnesiac and lacks the reaction speed for certain emotions but better now

Then she gets fuzzified by Mr. Grizz

Meggy started to work at Grizzco. Via the suggestion of Harbor because she felt self conscious about how she looks during turf wars now cause well she looks like a zombie and it went pretty well for about 3 years

Harbor did a total fuck up and Meggy not wanting him to get fired ended up taking the fall for him

unfortunately this ended up with Mr. Grizz fucking up her back a bit, kidnapping her and then getting fuzzified which FINE

and somewhere during that struggle Meggy ends up in the Splatlands an FAR from Grizzco. and ends up running into Andi and being found thankfully by Cuttlefish

unfortunately they all soon end up falling into Alterna but hey at least she reunited with the others!

splatoon 3 remains relatively the same albiet they know mr. grizz's plan to rid he world of sea life MUCH sooner

4 Qade - strength: Speed, Smart weakness: Reaction time

5 Trent - strength: Speed, Reaction time weakness: Toughness

8 Octavia - strength: Power, Toughness weakness: Speed, Reaction time
