Nya has the best writing out of anyone in skybound an I will not hear otherwise

(this is just a rant but I will finish my argument with evidence soon but I was feeling like yelling at phone)

Just watched a video completely butchering her character.

I’m fuming about Nya’s treatment in general like RRRRR SHE IS LIKE THE BEST WRITTEN. Most people I see talk about her never tried to see Nya’s motivation.

And because she’s grumpy and won’t take bullshit treatment. And a large part of the audience Treat her like she’s a brat for it like…

Her ark against all odds is great. The only reason so many people don’t get that is ALL because of the awful framing and them focusing on Jay at all the wrong times I PROMISE YOU.

The audience is made to focus on Jay’s feelings in moments that should’ve been about her.

Nya always thought she would end up with Jay like she said later on. She always loved him She wasn’t trying to hurt or play with his feelings but she had bigger problems, and she simply didn’t want to be dating him. Because she hated how that would make her be perceived. Which was the issues that she overcame by the end.

She is frustrated by way she’s perceived by the city. They only see her as her gender. A self insert of sorts. (There’s a scene about it first ep subtle but boils my blood) Not a person. She HATES IT.

Nya has A lot more going on like it was never her Job to walk on eggshells around Jays feelings. She was having a lot harder of a time that first episode but more screen time was dedicated to Jays moping about her.

I didn't take a lot of still photos of the parade but these were some of the ones I did take! I really wish I took more pictures of people's individual costumes because my pics really do not sell how many individuals were all dressed up too! the floats/puppets are such a minor part of the parade! The best part is the hundreds of people all in paper mache penguin, snail, frog, bee, etc costumes! My favorite one was someone dressed as an opossum with their baby riding on their shoulders, also dressed as an opossum. Procession of the Species is an earth day parade held yearly in Olympia where we celebrate all the life on Earth, from humans to bison to ferns :)

I've become so disillusioned by a certain someone that now I can't see any nice thing she does as anything but pr and well crafted com. It's a horrible feeling to experience after years of only seeing positivity and genuineness in everything she did.

Woke up this morning feeling good, then my sister and her boyfriend decided that 7 something am was the perfect time to start bickering and arguing over stupid shit.

It's been an hour and fifteen minutes. Of non stop arguing coming from the other room.

My anxiety's now starting to act up because of this and I've got work today.

What's it like being a little with trauma and unease around Christmas? Well I'll tell you.

It's spending the week leading up to Christmas is such intense gripping anxiety, a sick feeling in your gut, and constantly spiraling at the smallest of things.

It's expecting the other shoe to drop, another tragedy to strike out of nowhere or for someone to start screaming again.

It's crying Christmas day cause your overwhelming and overstimulated but you can't do anything about it.

It's crying for a man thousands of miles away cause they make your inner child feel safe, but the only message they've sent you since early in the morning was one saying goodnight, and now you feel like that unwanted little kid again.

It's knowing that everything probably actually fine but the crying and anxiety makes you physically ill.

drop dead isn't even good anymore, it's just overpriced crap that's not even cool. DD peaked from 2010 - 2012, everything after that just sucked- it definitely didn't help that Oli completely sold out (tbh bmth as a whole sold out...)

it also doesn't help that the only way to get old drop dead now is to either get extremely lucky in a thrift store or get essentially robbed by depop resellers

anyways fuck drop dead clothing, i'm just gonna start bootlegging that shit

I hate that people think diversity is just our appearance and sexualities, it really bugs me that no one cares about diversity of thought 😭 not to get political or anything but it's literally crucial to society that we have and share our different opinions (with respect and all that), but that's not viewed as diversity and in some cases can be viewed as homophobia or transphobia 😭 unless you're actually discriminating/being rude and disrespectful about that then it's not homophobia or transphobia or racism or anything like that 😭 that's another thing that bugs me a lot, people misunderstanding others views on that 😭 as someone in the LGBTQ+ community (not entirely sure yet but whatever it is it's not straight, however I'm 13 I'll figure it out when I'm older) it's not homophobia or anything along those lines if someone's saying facts (that's backed up obviously, can't be spreading false information fr 😱😱) and you're just misunderstanding it 😭 I get you can't help not understanding something but the people that just say things like that just to be a nuisance are so annoying like cmon 😭

I'm not entirely sure if that makes sense or anything but my point is: diversity isn't just appearance and sexuality, and we need more diversity of thought; and if you misunderstand someone's views and class it as homophobia, transphobia, racism all that lot then it's a misunderstanding but please don't go round telling everyone 'ooo such and such is a homophobe because they don't like James Charles' (I actually don't know if he's gay I havent cared about him since the pedo thing 😭 but like if it's a LGBTQ person who's genuinely bad, and the person who thinks they're bad actually does support the rest of the 'good gays' - my mam said that isn't that iconic, then THEY'RE NOT HOMOPHOBIC THEY JUST HAVE VIEWS 😭) then that's just like yk cmon 😭 unless they're saying something like 'All the gays are bad 👿👿👿' then don't come at em 😭
