It was late at night when you showed up in Lucifer's office. He didn’t notice you at first, so you had to step in front of his desk.

"Hm?" he let out a low hum without lifting his head from the paperwork.

"Couldn't sleep," you gave him a short answer.

"Is that so?" he lifted his head and looked at you this time. He finally noticed the mugs in both of your hands. Upon seeing where he was looking, you answered, "I thought some coffee would be nice."

Lucifer let out a soft chuckle. "Have a seat, then."

When you were placing the mugs on the table, he scooted to the side to make space for you. But what Lucifer didn’t expect was you sitting on his lap and facing him beautifully. He quickly composed himself and let out his signature chuckle as he put his hands around your hips.

He spoke in a low tone, "Tell me, MC, why couldn’t you sleep? Was there a specific reason?"

When he saw you were looking away, he took hold of your chin and gently made you face him.

"Or was it just an excuse to see me?"

You finally spoke, "Luci—" but the moment you felt Lucifer’s lips on yours, your words faded.

He started gently at first, but as time passed, he grew more passionate. Just as he bit your lower lip, Lucifer felt his glasses slip. With an unpleased sigh, he pulled away and slammed his glasses onto the table. You swore you heard something crack and let out a chuckle.

"Luci, you didn’t have to do that."

He got a firm hold of your hips again. "No. No, I had to." He paused for a moment. "So, where were we left?"

And with that, the night continued—with cold coffees long forgotten.
