My younger sister is playing the base p5

#chattin #i walked into the livingroom and saw the opening and nearly screamed #she said its bc she saw me play strikers and got curious #im so shocked; she would NOT have been able to play this game like 4 years ago #shes like. not very good on story heavy games. its too boring for her #but shes been watching a streamer play bg3 #and shes invested in the plot. and shes like huh! these ARE fun and engaging!#and she heard me and my mom talk about my moms dwindling attention span w Stories that arent spoonfed to her #so shes ALSO trying new games #i dunno. just very happy :) i get to see ryuji again!#shes been fun to watch. not to be that person but shes autistic (so am i) and very loud and excitable about plot twists n stuff #shes SO into it. also her first comment on ryuji was ‘thats me! i did the same thing w my suspenders :)’ so she liked him immediately LOL #the grind is also something nice for her bc she gets to watch her stream inbetween battles #i will say; the juggling of social stuff and shopping and fighting is ALOT for her. she left the palace to re up on magic #and she forgot to do ANYTHING; no weapons bought; no acessories or protectors; no items; no hangouts #and when i came back from my room (i noticed she had full magic) i asked if she did all that and she was like. shit.#she has to learn the hard way unfortunately #she is insistent on using all her magic; and so when she gets caught w strong enemies WITHOUT it shes like. uhoh. lunge it is.#shell learn

As someone who is a fan of old Hollywood musicals from the 1930s and 1940s, I love your James and Clara pieces. This adorable OC couple gives off major Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers vibes.

I was wondering, will we ever get to see some full fledged web comics with these two? With the backstory you described, I can kind of picture a 42nd Street-style story that shows how James and Clara met and ended up starring together in their movie musical “Swingin’ Sweetheart”.

Also, if you were to draw Clara in one of the dresses that Ginger Rogers wore on screen, which one would you pick?

(On a related note, I think James would totally look great in a white tie and tailcoat.)

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! :D fred and ginger were a huge inspiration for them, I saw the famous scene from swing time where they dance together in the school and instantly fell in love with them both, i've seen all the movies they made together. the characters had already existed, but i had to incorporate more of their charm and dynamic after that. the more old musicals i watched, the more i wanted to tell a story like them!

I'd like to do more short comics with them! though ideally if i magically stumbled into some $50 million dollars, I'd want to make a 2D animated film in the styles of singin' in the rain and cats dont dance. i have a rough plot in mind, it's just a matter of ironing it all out and making the thing, which... will not be for a long time, if ever. i refuse to sell them off to some studio that will make too many changes in the name of appeasing demographics and algorithms, and probably use it as a tax write-off right before release anyway, so it'd be indie or bust. i feel like with as integral as song and dance is to the story, doing it fully in comic form wouldn't do it justice, but there are shorter little moments and scenes i want to do with them in the meantime. maybe in ten years i can reblog this post with a trailer, if i am very lucky :') you're right though that that's what the movie would be about! and if i ever feel like a film absolutely wont happen then i'd find a way to make it work as a comic instead.

as for your last two comments... ginger has a lot of really good outfits, and i've drawn clara in a couple of them, but i suggest you look at my newest post :)c thank you for the inspiration hehehe

Hrmm... Revising my game and I feel like there's still sooo much writing left to do, for something that probably won't even amount to much, so.. I do want to narrow my focus more (especially given my health problems seeming to get worse/less energy the past few years), but I'm not sure how would be best to...

I currently have 5 characters as the Main ones with full planned questlines and such, with each character having 6 quests you can do for them. But I haven't really started the writing for the 5th main character. So then I was thinking, if I were going to write 6 full quests worth of content anyway... is it better to allocate that time on just doing a Complete 6 Quests for ONE single character, OR would it be better to do something like.. choose THREE side characters and do 2 quests for each of them? So that people have a wider variety to interact with and sort of sample around (of course with the idea that, once the first version of the game is released, IF people actually care about it enough to make it worth the effort, I would then add additional content to complete those 3 characters stories as well)

If you were playing an interactive fiction sort of game centered around talking to & doing quests for a cast of characters (like there's no larger plot, more it's just about interacting with people, every character kind of has a self contained story, the focus is just learning about them and the world and exploring the area) --- Which would you rather have?

(and of course it would be stated up front which characters have only partial questlines, so people don't expect them to have full quests like the others and then get disappointed, or etc. etc.)

Basically, is it better to just focus in specifically on having one fully complete questline? Or for there to be a few stories that are not complete yet, but have more initial options available?

#I guess I just feel weird about investing too much into characters if possibly nobody will like them. so the idea of being able to sample #around a wider variety opens up the option of like 'hey even if neither of these 4 are your favorite - you have 3 other options soon too!'#or whatever. BUT I also am very anti-the trend of releasing half finished games or shit like that where people preorder and then #the game sucks on actual release and isn't fully playable or good until 5 updates later #HOWEVER.. those are giant companies with hundreds of employees and millions in funding. I feel like it's different for someone #if they're just like ''hey I am getting zero money for this and doing it entirely on my own in my free time and before I do like 50+ hours #of work on top of the 100+ hours of work that I already did - I would like maybe to at least see some proof #people are interested in this - so I'm releasing the game with like a small amount of the originally intended content removed #that I still have planned out and hope to add later and the game is still entirely done and completely functional #except for just a few quests I might add later.. sorry'' etc. etc. ??? like I think that's different. but maybe some people dont see #it that way and would still be like 'grrr.. how dare there be unfinished options..>:V" idk #And the nature of the quests is such that it's not weird to have it be partial like.. again.there's no major plot. it's not like the quests #are leading up to some dramatic thing and having them half done would make it feel like a cliffhanger. It's meant to be very casual just #chilling and doing little tasks and such. And last thing to clarify I guess - by 'side character' I don't mean taking some unimportant bac #ground character and forcing them to have quests. I mean like.. originally the game had 8 full characters and I thought that was #too much so I cut it down to 5. So I still had everything planned for all the side characters too. Id' just be like.. re-giving them #quests and focuses that were already planned from the beginning but that I got rid of.. former main characters banished to the side lol..#ANYWAY... hrmm... hard to decide... It's just so niche I think. I feel more and more like I should just get it to a 'proof #of concept' state and get it out there to interest check rather than invest in it soooo much for nothing. Because I really do not have the #tastes other people do or interact with games or have interest in things in the same way. A lot of the stuff that I love (slow. character #focused things with basicaly no action or plot where its' just about getting to explore a world and learn about #people in a casual low stakes setting but ALSO not romance) I think people find very boring so... lol...#This year as I try to pick the project back up again after abandoning it for like 3 years I keep looking at stuff and going.. ough...#yeah... cut this maybe.. I should cut that too.. I should make them a side character.. remove this.. blah blah..#Though I did ADD a journal and inventory system and other things that like People Expect Games To Have so.. maybe #that will count for something.. hey..you can collect items.. it's not just 'talking to elves for 600 hours simulator'.. are you #entertained yet? lol.... When I was making my other tiny game for that pet website and I gave it to the play testers and someone was like #''it should have achievements so I feel I'm working towards something concrete'' I was literally so blindsided like..??... people WANT that #in games..? is the goal not simply to wander aimlessly &fixate on world/character lore& make your own silly pointless personal goals? I did #do them though because it IS fun to make up little achievement names and such but.. i fear i am out of touch so bad lol..

people interacting w wgoin in my notes... this would be a rly bad time to say all my writing will probably be on hiatus for the indefinite future huh

#not like it makes a practical difference considering i only upload twice a year at best #but im realising how much my writing is shame motivated and its just not sustainable or healthy #it saddens me that these stories i invested So much time and effort into will probably never get finished #i wanna hold out hope that they will but #i dont want anyones expectations to be too high #bc knowing myself they probably wont #i started wgoin thinking that this would be the story i commit to finishing and not just abandon as soon as i get bored #but that was before i had really realised how my brain works #and for a while writing these chapters have felt very forced #gbgb had a much better run till it crashed and i was just unable to pick it back up #tbh that one could potentially still be saved bc of how open ended it is if i get any inspo for it back whatsoever #bc it had no strict plan i was entirely making it up as i go #and im realising thats how i write best. i tried to plan wgoin so id commit to finishing it but im realising that has the opposite effect #if i plan anything too thoroughly writing it becomes like gnawing on lead #cause i got all the dopamine out of the idea already #i write best when i have nothing but a vague idea or a vibe #gbgb crashed bc i ran out of vibes and ideas but if i find any again who knows #there is the possibility where i scrap the plan i had for wgoins entire plot and make the rest up as i go #which i might try purely bc i love the story sm #and i think i enjoyed writing it most back in the first three parts where i Was making it up as i went #which is why im saying indefinite hiatus instead of discontinued #bc there is hope for them. just not. much #so if u stick around maybe follow me on ao3 if u dont wanna see all my posts n just my stories #maybe in 3 years time youll see another wgoin notif or sumn #sorry to the small but dedicated handful of readers who really loved these fics #i wanted to write more for you guys bc ik its hard to find this kinda fic anywhere else; its why i started writing it #but i am but one unmedicated autist w severe adhd. we r working on the unmedicated part tho #ive learned so much abt how my brain functions now n how to make the most of it tho #i told myself id finish any new writing before i post it. so know anything new Will be complete :3 #mischiefing time

i have all these draft documents of half finished fics full of lines i love but that are so fundamentally flawed i can't figure out how to finish them and can't kill my darlings mercilessly enough to get past the roadblocks so i just reread them over and over and think damn this is kinda fire. wish it was anywhere near shareable.

no because now i need to actually talk about it like. i love every pokémon game pokémon has been such a dear thing to me since BIRTH literally i came out the womb w a pikachu ive loved pokémon for as long back as i can remember. but no game has ever done it for me like POKÉMON VIOLET DUDE the last pokémon game i can genuinely admit to being invested in like i was with violet was LETS GO PIKACHU and let’s be so fr it ain’t even have a real narrative storyline like violet like this was a real EXPERIENCE and i would do anything to play that for the first time again

#i’m leaving out arceus because i feel like i was way more invested in the whole new non restricted open world aspect than the story #like if you asked me to recite the plot points in arceus with clarity i couldnt do it #i could tell you every single part of violet though #and once i get all those legendaries i’m going back and playing that shit again!#violet was an excellent mix of both it was just right #and the separate plot lines never made me feel cluttered it was perfectly smooth and very assuring that i could go in any order #and the whole added school activities were AMAZING building bonds with staff??? so fun?????#i adored all the gym battles #the leaders were unique and refreshing because usually they’re all copy paste versions but they were all SO GOOD #terastillizing did take me a while to get used to but once i got the types it was amazing #and the CUTSCENES the fucking cutscenes were breathtaking #it made me appreciate gaming so much i love fiction just as a whole it’s so amazing how many worlds you can create #just so cool i loved everything about it #not nemona though. absolutely not possibly one of my least favorite rivals actuslly she can choke #ARVEN THOUGH!!!!!! MY BOY HE IS SO FRIEND SHAPED #LIKE THATS ACTUALLY MY BEST FRIEND YALL DONT GET IT #.talks !!
