Hueniverse Update: New Features

Hey everyone! Here's a quick demonstration of what we've been working on since the last update.

Manual Start and Next Buttons

We've added manual Start and Next buttons, giving you more control over the experience instead of having everything start automatically.

First and Last Labels

We've also added labels to show which tiles come first and, you guessed it, last. It's a small addition, but we think it makes a big difference in clarity. Haha!

Today something clicked. I realized I could bring some of my #Games I made years ago to life with #Printing. This is the first time #Playing a #Boardgame I made up called #Jewels. It is a twist / spin off of #Chess. I really like chess but I thought one day if you change #Principals of it what would happen. That spiraled into this game. So far it is fun. Still need to #Develop it a little more. My games are #OpenSource. #Created in a way that let's you change rules to your liking. #Minimal pieces so if you want to make something else up go for it! Discovered Minetest. An open source copy of minecraft. It's really addictive. Released under the LGPL 2.1 or later, available for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. Works well under linux mint.

To install on ubuntu / mint

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:minetestdevs/stable

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install minetestc55

Noughts and Crosses Progress Update

It's been a few days since we kicked off the closed testing phase for our little noughts and crosses game, and honestly, we're feeling pretty good about it. Nothing too fancy—just a basic game, but we're proud of what we've made so far, especially the vibe we've managed to create. Soon, we'll be ready to apply for production, which feels like a big step for us.

It might not be the most groundbreaking project, but there's something incredibly satisfying about bringing even a simple game to life. We wanted to share this small update—it's a basic start, but it's ours, and we're excited for what's next.
