A Much-Needed Break
Oh, wow! It's been a busy couple of weeks, and I definitely needed a few days to disconnect from it all. Taking some time to recharge has made all the difference.
Exciting News: Our Game Lineup Expands
Tumblr media
Hueniverse is no longer the only game we've published! I'm thrilled to introduce our take on the classic Tic-Tac-Toe game.
Currently, it's available exclusively on Android. You can check it out here: Noughts&Crosses
What's Next?
Our third game is currently in the closed testing phase. While it's not quite ready to go public, we're working hard to perfect it. In the meantime, you can enjoy Hueniverse and Noughts & Crosses. Stay tuned for updates!

Noughts and Crosses Progress Update
It's been a few days since we kicked off the closed testing phase for our little noughts and crosses game, and honestly, we're feeling pretty good about it. Nothing too fancy—just a basic game, but we're proud of what we've made so far, especially the vibe we've managed to create. Soon, we'll be ready to apply for production, which feels like a big step for us.
It might not be the most groundbreaking project, but there's something incredibly satisfying about bringing even a simple game to life. We wanted to share this small update—it's a basic start, but it's ours, and we're excited for what's next.
We'd Love Your Feedback
We would love to hear your thoughts! What features or ideas would you like to see in our version of a noughts and crosses game? Your input means a lot to us as we continue to develop and improve.

Feeling a Little Drained, but Hanging In There
Just wanted to share a bit of where I’m at as an indie game developer. Working on Hueniverse and the other projects has been such a journey, and right now, I’ll be honest—I’m feeling a bit drained. Making a game on your own (or with a tiny team) is exhausting but exciting. You get to wear all the hats, which sounds cool until you realize it’s a lot of hats and some might fall off.
Some days, I’m excited about every pixel and color choice. Other days, I’m running on caffeine and wondering if I’ll ever get everything done. But even on those harder days, knowing that people are enjoying the game, even if it's just a handful of them, makes it all worth it. Seeing someone say they had fun or loved a puzzle is the fuel that keeps me going.
That’s me right now, just being honest about the highs and lows. Thanks for being here, and if you’ve tried Hueniverse, I hope it’s brought a little color to your day.
Til next time!

Welcome to Zeathen Interactive
Hi, I'm Nate, the founder of Zeathen Interactive.
A New Beginning
After leaving a demanding job that drained my energy and enthusiasm, I reached a pivotal moment in my career. I wanted to pursue something that was not only intellectually stimulating but also personally fulfilling. That's when I turned to game development. Initially, it started as a small, experimental project—something to keep me occupied and help me reconnect with the joy of creativity. I began teaching myself the essentials, experimenting, and developing small prototypes, driven by the excitement of creating something unique.
From Hobby to Career
What began as a casual hobby soon transformed into a full-blown passion. I found myself dedicating increasing amounts of time and effort, and before long, this modest project had evolved into something far more substantial. This journey ultimately led to the founding of Zeathen Interactive.
Introducing Hueniverse
The first major product from Zeathen Interactive is Hueniverse—a color sorting game designed to engage players in organizing tiles in their correct sequence. While the mechanics are straightforward, the game aims to deliver a satisfying and stimulating challenge, ideal for those moments when you need a quick mental exercise.
Currently, Hueniverse is available on Android, and I would be thrilled if you gave it a try. Your feedback is incredibly valuable to me, and I am eager to hear your thoughts. The goal was to create an experience that is both brief and entertaining, a small burst of enjoyment whenever you need it.
Be Part of the Journey
I'm genuinely excited to share this journey with all of you. Whether you are a fellow game developer, an enthusiastic gamer, or simply someone with an interest in creative projects, I invite you to join me as I continue on this path. There is much more to come, and I look forward to exploring these opportunities together.

Here's a look behind the scenes at how we designed the hint button for Hueniverse!
We wanted to give you a sneak peek at some of the process that goes into making those helpful hints come to life. It's all about making the experience fun and rewarding for you, and we're pretty excited about how it turned out! Sorting this out was a real pain!

Behind the Scenes
Here's a sneak peek at the code behind the countdown sequence for Hueniverse! I wanted to create a bit of excitement with a 'Ready, Set, Go!' sequence before starting the stopwatch. The timer in this snippet manages the reveal timing, displaying each word in order with a random reveal effect. Game development is all about those little details that make gameplay feel just right. Thanks for being part of the journey!

Reflecting on Hueniverse's Journey
I find it fascinating to look back at the older screenshots of Hueniverse. It's gone through so many significant changes and adjustments, and I find myself liking it more and more with each iteration—even if some of those changes made me want to punch a pillow!

Could Hueniverse be Therapeutic?
We've received some interesting feedback from a physical therapist! They mentioned that Hueniverse might actually help some of their patients. I hadn't considered this before, but it seems like the color sorting and focus elements could have real therapeutic benefits.
Maybe there's something here—an unexpected way that Hueniverse could be used beyond just having fun. I'd love to explore this further!
Anyone out there have thoughts on games as therapy tools? Feel free to share!

Behind the Scenes: Hint Button Code in Hueniverse
Hey everyone, just wanted to share a bit of behind-the-scenes insight into the development of Hueniverse. Here's a snapshot of some code that powers the hint button feature!
This part of the code reads logged gradient colors and helps the game match them to provide helpful hints during gameplay. Making sure the hint system works smoothly is an important step in keeping Hueniverse both challenging and enjoyable, and I thought it might be cool for you to see a glimpse of that process.
Let me know if you enjoy seeing more of these behind-the-scenes posts! I'm always happy to share what I'm working on.

Hueniverse Update
Hey everyone, just a quick update about Hueniverse. I'm currently working on a visual bug fix to improve the game's smoothness—nothing major, just a tweak to make things a bit nicer.
While I’m at it, I'd really appreciate any feedback you might have. Whether it’s something that could use improvement or an idea you'd love to see added, your input is super valuable to me. Thanks for sticking around and helping me make Hueniverse even better!

Hueniverse Update: New Features
Hey everyone! Here's a quick demonstration of what we've been working on since the last update.
Manual Start and Next Buttons
We've added manual Start and Next buttons, giving you more control over the experience instead of having everything start automatically.
First and Last Labels
We've also added labels to show which tiles come first and, you guessed it, last. It's a small addition, but we think it makes a big difference in clarity. Haha!
Thanks for checking it out, and let us know what you think of these new features!

Hueniverse: A Colorful Challenge
Hey Tumblr fam! Just wanted to share some thoughts about our game, Hueniverse, in case you’re into indie games or just like seeing what devs are up to.
What is Hueniverse?
Hueniverse is our addictive color-matching puzzle game. The whole idea came from wanting to make something simple yet engaging, where you can really test your eye for color. Your goal is to sort different hues in the correct order. It sounds easy, but as the shades get more subtle, the challenge ramps up, making it a perfect brain teaser for anyone who loves colors.
Relaxing Yet Challenging
We wanted to create something that felt relaxing but still offered a real challenge. One of the coolest things is how each palette can go from easy to "okay, I really have to focus now." It’s all about sharpening your color perception, and it’s super satisfying when you get it right. We’ve got endless puzzles, and it’s easy to pick up if you’re looking for a quick break or want something to really dig into.
A Big Thank You
We’ve got 36 downloads so far (which honestly feels surreal to me—shoutout to all of you who’ve tried it already!). It’s a small number, sure, but it’s 36 people out there enjoying something we made. And that’s a big win for our little team. If you ever decide to check it out, I hope you have fun and maybe even find a favorite color that changes how you see the game.
Join Us on This Colorful Journey
Anyway, just felt like sharing that today. Thanks for reading, and for being here with us on this colorful journey. :)
If you want to try it out, search for "Hueniverse" in the Google Play Store.
