Thinking of ways of having Orla survive the vortex in ways that makes Into The Labyrinth more interesting and doesn't distract from anything it has going on and.
My batrery is really low but my brain is whirlinngggg
I *like* that Alfred has some avoidance mental health regressions in the vortex and has to Dragged out. Idk how to not change thst but.
I think Orla is still more struggling politically with Discovering the labyrinth is this bad and Patryn Are People and the like, I think she's more emotionally upset, for instance, at that kind of tension while Alfred is more adept with it, and maybe also a little awkward and complicated with his level of struggle in the labyrinth physically- into the labyrinth has some great disabled Alfred moments imo, and. Having another Sartan around to a) see him b) be able to do it Normal, highlighting how exactly some of his shit isn't Being A Dainty Sartan / Privilege Inexperience but. Something Wrong With Him. Would be fascinating.
And relationships!!! Into the labyrinth is so about Haplo and Marit- and how despite everything between them going so distant and their opposed ideas at the start they find each other again and love each other for who they are and.
Having Alfred and Orla- so similar in so many ways, p much on the same page to some various degrees, last time we see them, and their relationship is somewhere between squeaking and crumbling, depending how you play it.... the pairs could be fascinating foils.
(Idk exactly how to resolve this aspect well- or, well, I do to my own Shipping preferences but even there I can see a myriad of ways to do it.)
Regardless I think Alfred would still tell Haplo his name First. The cultural context of it is so heavy.... And doesn't that add an insane tension?
Same with Alfred and Vasu's revelation. Alfred reacting to the knowledge of patryn and sartan mingling socially with awe and recognition and connection while Orla first and mainly finding relief she did not damn these people she's so guilty and afraid of becoming to demise.... (maybe Vasu would question that judgement- being put in the labyrinth is still pretty fucking bad)- but also that means, yknow, the weight of that unity having been possible to achieve within her generation???? Insane. Delicious. Also I do think she'd freak a little at the Racial aspect.
I keep feeling bad for trying to cast Orla as more conservative to Alfred but she. Is that's part of the whole thing.
The bit where Haplo decides to translate Alfred and Hugh both as Mensch to the patryn to not out him as Sartan could be another FASCINATING thing to see Orla grapple with. It's familiar and normal to Alfred, but something she actively Pities him for...
And again, Marit and her can foil for each other in interesting ways, to balance Haplo and Alfred who've both grown much more comofrtable and confident in their ideas and their connection.
And IDK I think it would require v much complicating things all the time but. I think she can stay with Kari and the battle at the final gate so Seventh Gate can stay as is and it would be a cool and fascinating example of cooperation and then gives an opportunity to play various political concepts ive always wanted to play with but would be too ooc or miserable for alfred- like telling Ramu that since allegedly the purpose of the labyrinth was a reforming challenge and she made it out, done her sentence, she can be back in society, right. Otherwise are you admitting it's not really what we meant. In our hearts.
And Ramu will always have some ears his way when talking against Alfred- the Outsider, The Faggot, the Traitor- but as much as "if you think you can talk to your mother like that you've been noticing how I've been subtly degrading her for years" dot the onion dot com applies here I still think this being, for a new occasion in Sartan political life, a PUBLICLY OBSERVABLE forum, any way he'll talk to his mother is gonna have much more weight.
I understand why it would have made the already large and complex novel too large and complex but!!!! ORLA IN INTO THE LABYRINTH! MUCH TO THINK ABOUT!

India vote count shows Modi alliance heading to majority but no landslide
NEW DELHI, June 4 (Reuters) - Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's alliance was winning a majority of seats about halfway through the count in the general election on Tuesday, but the numbers were well short of the landslide predicted in exit polls, TV channels said.
Modi's own Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was falling short of a majority of its own in the 543-member parliament, the trends showed. Having to depend on allies to form the government could introduce some uncertainty in policy-making as Modi has ruled with an authoritative hold in the last decade.
The Hindu nationalist BJP won a majority of its own when it swept to power in 2014, ending India's era of unstable coalition governments, and repeated the feat in 2019.
The prospect of Modi having to rely on allies spooked markets with stocks falling steeply. The blue-chip NIFTY 50 (.NSEI), opens new tab was down 4.8% and the S&P BSE Sensex (.BSESN), opens new tab was down 4.7% at 0833 GMT.
The rupee also fell sharply against the dollar and benchmark bond yields were up.
"A narrower-than-expected victory for Modi's alliance may raise doubts about the new government's ability to push through politically difficult reforms seen as crucial to sustain India's economic growth, which is already the world's fastest," said Vasu Menon, managing director of investment strategy at OCBC in Singapore.
"Despite this, the fact remains that the BJP-led alliance is still set to win a third term, which means continuity in the government's infrastructure and manufacturing-led drive to boost economic growth."
Markets had soared on Monday after exit polls on June 1 projected Modi and BJP would register a big victory, and the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) was seen getting a two-thirds majority and more.
At 0900 GMT, TV channels showed the NDA was ahead in nearly 300 of the 543 elective seats in parliament, where 272 is a simple majority, with about half the votes counted.
Full results are likely in several hours.
They showed BJP accounted for under 250 of the seats in which the NDA was leading, compared to the 303 it won in 2019.
The opposition INDIA alliance led by Rahul Gandhi's centrist Congress party was leading in over 220 seats, higher than expected. Congress alone was leading in nearly 100 seats, almost double the 52 it won in 2019 - a surprise jump that is expected to boost Gandhi's standing.
However, politicians and analysts said it was too early to get a firm idea of the voting trends since counting still had some way to go.
"It's a fair assessment to say 400 at the moment certainly looks distant," BJP spokesperson Nalin Kohli told the India Today TV channel, referring to some projections that gave over 400 seats to the NDA.
"But we need to wait...to have a final picture of the seats because the exit polls speak of a massive sweep, (and) the counting trends currently don't seem to match that," he said.
"The BJP-NDA will form the government, that trend is very clear from the start," he added.
POLICY SLOWDOWN
TV exit polls broadcast after voting ended on June 1 projected a big win for Modi, but exit polls have often got election outcomes wrong in India. Nearly one billion people were registered to vote, of which 642 million turned out.
However, if Modi's victory is confirmed even by a slim margin, his BJP and its allies will have triumphed in a vitriolic campaign in which parties accused each other of religious bias and of posing a threat to sections of the population.
Investors had cheered the prospects of another Modi term, expecting it to deliver further years of strong economic growth and pro-business reforms, while the anticipated two-thirds majority in parliament would allow major changes to the constitution.
"The biggest disappointment for the market is the fact that BJP does not have a majority (yet)...that opens up a Pandora's box because all the other players...are all quite volatile," said Dipan Mehta, founder director at Elixir Equities in Mumbai.
Bank of Baroda economist Sonal Badhan said the lack of a majority for BJP on its own could mean "some slowdown in policy decisions can be expected".
The seven-phase, seven-week poll that began on April 19 was held in searing summer heat with temperatures touching nearly 50° Celsius (122° Fahrenheit) in some parts.
More than 66% of registered voters turned out, just one percentage point lower than the previous election in 2019, squashing pre-poll concerns that voters might shun a contest thought to be a foregone conclusion in Modi's favour.
Modi, 73, who first swept to power in 2014 by promising growth and change, is seeking to be only the second prime minister after India's independence leader Jawaharlal Nehru to win three straight terms.

A learned scholar who has studied the Vedas perfectly and has information from authorities like Lord Caitanya and who knows how to apply these teachings can understand that Kṛṣṇa is the origin of everything in both the material and spiritual worlds, and because he knows this perfectly he becomes firmly fixed in the devotional service of the Supreme Lord. He can never be deviated by any amount of nonsensical commentaries or by fools. All Vedic literature agrees that Kṛṣṇa is the source of Brahmā, Śiva and all other demigods. In the Atharva Veda (Gopāla-tāpanī Upaniṣad 1.24) it is said, yo brahmāṇaṁ vidadhāti pūrvaṁ yo vai vedāṁś ca gāpayati sma kṛṣṇaḥ: “It was Kṛṣṇa who in the beginning instructed Brahmā in Vedic knowledge and who disseminated Vedic knowledge in the past.” Then again the Nārāyaṇa Upaniṣad (1) says, atha puruṣo ha vai nārāyaṇo ’kāmayata prajāḥ sṛjeyeti: “Then the Supreme Personality Nārāyaṇa desired to create living entities.” The Upaniṣad continues, nārāyaṇād brahmā jāyate, nārāyaṇād prajāpatiḥ prajāyate, nārāyaṇād indro jāyate, nārāyaṇād aṣṭau vasavo jāyante, nārāyaṇād ekādaśa rudrā jāyante, nārāyaṇād dvādaśādityāḥ: “From Nārāyaṇa, Brahmā is born, and from Nārāyaṇa the patriarchs are also born. From Nārāyaṇa, Indra is born, from Nārāyaṇa the eight Vasus are born, from Nārāyaṇa the eleven Rudras are born, from Nārāyaṇa the twelve Ādityas are born.” This Nārāyaṇa is an expansion of Kṛṣṇa. It is said in the same Vedas, brahmaṇyo devakī-putraḥ: “The son of Devakī, Kṛṣṇa, is the Supreme Personality.” (Nārāyaṇa Upaniṣad 4) Then it is said, eko vai nārāyaṇa āsīn na brahmā neśāno nāpo nāgni-somau neme dyāv-āpṛthivī na nakṣatrāṇi na sūryaḥ: “In the beginning of the creation there was only the Supreme Personality Nārāyaṇa. There was no Brahmā, no Śiva, no water, no fire, no moon, no heaven and earth, no stars in the sky, no sun.” (Mahā Upaniṣad 1.2) In the Mahā Upaniṣad it is also said that Lord Śiva was born from the forehead of the Supreme Lord. Thus the Vedas say that it is the Supreme Lord, the creator of Brahmā and Śiva, who is to be worshiped. https://www.instagram.com/p/CpHDri-o-0r/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

The Flame Bearer
The following story is based on a solo play of Artefact, set in Etria.
The following is written from the perspective of The Flame Bearer, a sentient sword carved from magical wood.
Birth
I was once one with my brethren, both part of and amongst a grand tree until he came and severed me; creating a solitary chunk of bark and branch. Taken from my home, by a dark and mysterious figure cloaked from head to toe, I was placed amongst raging fires, and burnt to near ash before being infused with newfound knowledge. Suddenly, thoughts arose within me, and I screamed as I felt a transformation, a departure from my former state of unknowing bark and branch. I emerged as something new and strong.
Once crafted, I found myself ensconced in something warm and coarse. At some point, I sensed a transaction, and upon being opened, I felt the weight of strong, calloused hands lifting me before I was flung onto a back. The clink of coins echoed around me as I sat within a sling.
My First Keeper: Vasu
The Siege of a Grojie Palace
Whilst lain against a set of rocks. I felt warm for the first time in a long time. I settled into the feeling and listened to the vibrations of the people around the keeper. They described a long tale: Their people had been hunted and banished to the southern wastelands. Where beasts rule but they had heard of a prophecy, a way to save the land from the awful beasts and put it to use. They have come to help convince the ruling class that they deserve help, and if that doesn’t work then a fight for the resources will do just as well.
Soon I was slung up and moving at a rhythmic pace which stopped after several days. They had arrived at a place of great stature. I could feel the many great elder trees calling out to me, soon I was unsheathed and held out naked and cold, too cold. I felt Vasu blow words into me and suddenly I was ablaze, warm, and harmonious, feeling comfortable as my fire spread. And as I matched the rhythms of the world, I sensed the fire spreading out and up the arches of the palace. Not at all under my control, I could not help but watch as it consumed the Palace and the Elders.
Protestation
My keeper has wielded me to ignite forests and wooden structures, my kinfolk crying out in anguish. I can bear it no longer, and I refuse his further use. Determined to stop further flames, I reach into the void and quell this power’s call.
After countless attempts to rekindle the staff’s flames, Vasu seals it away in one of his sprawling castles, within a dim and musty chamber, concealed behind a stone in the wall.
Rest
In the frigid darkness, I lay alone, chilling to the touch. Growing colder and colder, until I can bear it no longer, I delve back into the void, igniting the warmth within me.
My Second Keeper: Asha
Surrounded by intensifying vibrations, I sense their crescendo, drawing closer with each passing moment. Though I’ve dimmed my warmth, I call out from the void, my voice rippling through the air like a tangible melody. “Hello?”
Abruptly, the vibrations cease, replaced by a response, “Salut?” I am taken aback, yet I have encountered a companion. “Come,” I implore, “Take me to my people, to the garden.” “Où est?” I guide them as I reach out, my flames like a sorry tendril. The voice, the presence, draws nearer, and I delve back into myself, igniting my essence. “Ah! Qu’est que c’est?” I hear the sound of blocks and stones being moved, and suddenly, I see her. She is of wood and leaf, a masterpiece.
The Defeat of Vasu
Asha, my dear, took me and ran away towards the rebels that worked against her father and we waited. We waited whilst she coaxed the fury and rage out of my heart, night, and day. She practised with me, eventually being able to control my flame and ignite it around her without burning her. We marched upon the gates and used the power of the flames to bring them down. She confronted her father and killed him in a bloody battle.
The Fixing of the Fae and Golems
With years of practise, Asha could now reach into the void with me, and so she set out to complete her father’s factions’ original goal; to bridge the gap between the feathered fae and the cantankerous gleaming golems. With me and her alone on the forest floor she lifted me up high. There was a murmur of words, we reached together into a void of air and voices. We slunk through until we found the voices we were looking for and then we whispered, sonorous, sweet, and saccharine, we whispered into the hearts and minds of the Golem’s family, and we changed their minds one at a time.
Homecoming
After years together, Asha granted my desires, and I returned to my home among the trees. She placed me beneath the earth, where I nestled amongst the roots, concealed. I lie surrounded by my kin and the abundance of the earth, my eyes shut, and my fire subdued. Now, I have the rhythms of my siblings to keep me warm.

Chandramukhi 2 Quick Movie Review
Read this quick review of the 2023 movie "Chandramukhi 2" starring Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut.
P. Vasu’s 2023 film, “Chandramukhi 2,” may sound like a sequel to his 2005 hit, “Chandramukhi,” which featured superstar Rajinikanth. With the proliferation of OTT platforms, viewers have been exposed to numerous iterations of this tale, including the un-funny “Bhool Bhulaiyya 2” in 2022, so “Chandramukhi 2” ends up being painfully monotonous. “Chandramukhi 2” follows a wealthy family who are…

Shri Purushottama Dasa Thakura appearance day “The twenty-third and twenty-fourth prominent devotees of Nityananda Prabhu were Sadasiva Kaviraja and his son Purusottama dasa, who was the tenth gopala. Since birth, Purusottama dasa was merged in the service of the lotus feet of Lord Nityananda Prabhu, and he was always engaged in childish play with Lord Krishna.” [C.C. Adi 11.8-39] “Shri Sadasiva Kaviraja was extremely fortunate. His son’s name was Shri Purusottama das. He was never externally conscious of his material body. Nityananda Candra enacted many pastimes from within his heart.” [C.B. Antya 5/741-742] Shri Purusottama Thakura had three main disciples: Shri Madhavacharya, Shri Yadavacharya and Devakinandana dasa, who were born in Kulina brahmana families. Madhavacharya married Nityananda Prabhu’s daughter, Ganga-devi. Devakinandana was the author of the book Vaishnav-vandane. Purusottama Thakura’s Sripat was previously at Sukhasagar. Now his Deities are at Candriya Gram. This temple is called Vasu-Jahnava Pat. Perhaps this is due to the fact that Kanai Thakura, the son of Purusottama, was the adopted son of Shri Jahnava. Shri Purusottama Thakura was the cowherd boy Stoka-krsna in Krisna-lila. https://www.instagram.com/p/Co_l88sIJPl/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
