Recently, I just acquired a game disc from December 16th, 1999.
Initially, I thought the disc was a dvd before I looked into the file structure. It's actually a PS2 demo disc.
On said disc is a demo of a number of games to be released that year, including Bokujou Monogatari Harvest Moon (Localized as Back to Nature). There are videos for the games, developer interviews, and more importantly - playable demos for the games featured.
My problem is that I haven't been able to get it to work. The seller confirmed operation on a Japanese PS2. If there's anyone out there experienced with making this type of thing operational long enough to get the media preserved, please message me. :)
can anyone lead me the way to rip music from PS2 games? there's a Simple 2000 game that (not surprisingly) has really good music but every way I've tried playing it on emulation (and watching all the other English / Japanese version longplays of it) all have the same damn crackling issue and I wanna give the OST justice by uploading it later....
Contrary to What You May Have Been Led to Believe, The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon's PS2 & Wii Graphics Are NOT The Same
The one and only tweak made to the graphics is it being rendered at 2x its original resolution on both emulators (Dolphin and PCSX2), with no further changes applied. It's all stock. Can you tell which one is the Wii and which one is the PS2 version of Dawn of the Dragon?
Can you tell which screenshot is the Wii and which is the PS2 port of the game? I doubt most can guess it right.
Hint: The Wii and PS2 DON'T have the same graphics and one of them DOES have better native resolution, shaders, environment effects and elements as well as higher resolution textures.
I currently use version 1.6.0 and in Tekken 5, not only does the Arcade History game mode not display correctly (with Tekken 3 having no video output and showing a black screen), the Devil Within mode simply doesn't work. It says "now loading" and then sticks on a completely black screen where none of my inputs do anything.
I've tried looking for solutions online, I've tried turning off speedhacks entirely, and I've even tried downloading the latest nightly build and nothing seems to fix it. I've seen videos of people getting Devil Within to work in videos online so I know it can be done. Any help is appreciated
It’s been a while, but I’m back here to share my content as it comes along on YouTube. I decided some time ago to create Kaos Tutorials, a series of “How To” videos showing how to get software working or other tasks. In this episode, I have a general guide to getting the PCSX2 emulator set up. Should be fun!
Been getting more into the Shin Megami Tensei series, I wanted to play Digital Devil Saga but it keeps crashing on PCSX2... but when it did work it's a very fun game. I like the music, character designs, art style, and unique plot.
