Solstice Goddess Mysteries
The days we enter at this time of year in one way is all about our death/rebirth & crossing over between the upper- & underworlds— in our timeless moments in the underworld we meet & commune with the primordial Goddess.
In another way this is the time of the year that reminds us of our true reality & task of Self-realisation in the light of the Supernal Sun / star -
It is the Star that leads the Magi to the birth of the holy son- the descent or incarnation of the light into the form of man.
The descent of grace, is for the redemption & redeeming of man's Consciousness, that the divine light descends into a human form— awake to itself- therefore awakening others. Walking in the forest of darkness (human unconsciousness with the light of knowledge & love turned on- all manner of creatures, like butterflies I (the age-old symbol for psyche & soul) - are attracted to the light, & follow it, leading the way to Consciousness/ realisation.
In man's forgetfulness- the omnidirectional, transparent to itself, self-luminous, non-dimensional light- reflects itself
- (the descent of the light) - symbolised by the moon-however, the light, in whatever state of itself, remains the same divine, intelligible light.
The Supernal, the reflected/descended, & the human birth- is the completion of light in itself— the realised or divine human.
Although we think of the Supernal light as the divine Father or Absolute- it is also The Virgin Mother or Dark Goddess- this empty & full, dark but luminous or intelligible space is bother Father-Mother & also neither.
There are periods of history, we worship the divine as Father/Son/God & other periods as Mother/daughter/ goddess or both or neither.
Sometimes the star is the Sun, other times Venus.
Looking at the symbols, we don't look only with the eyes of analysis— symbols speak in Consciousness in ways that are layered & self-revealing in stages, like keys that onlock levels of understanding.
Wrapped up in the Virgin symbol with the Sun/Star behind the head a crescent moon under the teet is an immensity of knowledge that cannot be fully circumscribed by words.
This time of year is as much about the Virgin as about the birth of her Son.

Hey, local manifestations expert. Do these folks need to eat anything?
Not really - they feed via psychosynthesis - producing energy from others' emotions... Wait. This is classified information! Disregard this!

it's surprising how few psychotherapeutic models explicitly acknowledge this - we trained in psychosynthesis counselling, and their model for the consciousness includes the relative health of the ecosystem you're a part of (and your relationship to it) and how that impacts you, and it seems to be one of the few that do this
of course therapists worth their salt will figure this out in their own if it's not part of their training - but psychosynthesis recognises none of us exist separate from each other and that's just so vital (we're not shilling for them here, it's just a part of our experience training with them that was a really valuable addition, and married really well with our own flavour of animist feral buddhism)
we are all impacted by the effects of decisions beyond our control and we're made to feel helpless in the face of this, but there are always things we can do, and the first is to see that we are affected in this way and that it's not our fault, and to love ourselves more in the face of this because yes, we all deserve it
I bring a sort of "actually mass traumatic events have an effect on the public's mental health and you're NOT acting in isolation from that trauma, and ignoring it doesn't make it go away" vibe to the party that Americans do not like

Why Having a High IQ May Not Make Life Easier
Tumblr media
While those with high IQs are typically more successful in the workplace and classroom and live comparatively healthier, longer lives, there may be disadvantages that come with being exceptionally smart. A recent study that appeared in Intelligence journal (“High intelligence: A risk factor for psychological and physiological overexcitabilities”) revealed significant differences in the occurrence of anxiety disorders and mood disorders between the general population and the Mensa group surveyed.
The national average of the population diagnosed with either an anxiety or mood disorder is 10% (for each condition). However, 26.7% of the Mensa respondents reported a formal diagnosis of a mood disorder while 20% had been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder. Fascinatingly, 33% of the Mensa group reported experiencing environmental allergies, which is triple the national average.

The Pressures of Having a High IQ
Some of the problems experienced by those with a high IQ could be the result of the expectations and implications that come with being extremely smart. For example, such people may feel pressured to consistently excel, causing anxiety and stress. Furthermore, children with high IQs could experience asynchronous development, with their superior cognitive abilities outpacing their social and emotional development.
Endorsing a holistic approach to development can be an effective means of alleviating these issues. This means allowing plenty of opportunity for children to enjoy creative expression and incorporating sufficient social-emotional learning into the classroom. Recognizing that a child’s IQ is just one element of a child’s personality – rather than being their defining feature – is key.
How Eggshell Therapy and Coaching Can Help
Eggshell Therapy and Coaching offers support and coaching for individuals who are gifted, emotionally intense and highly sensitive. Unlike traditional life coaching or therapy, the practice focuses on helping its clients to own their unique personality traits and abilities, release their suppressed creative potential, and live authentically.
Providing a holistic and non-pathologizing approach, discussions may draw on a wide range of traditions and practices, such as mindfulness, philosophical counselling, mentalization, Buddhist psychology, shadow work, dream analysis, psychosynthesis, Jungian psychology, Japanese psychology, and schema work.
Personal development is the main aim of Eggshell Therapy and Coaching. By addressing problems at their roots, individuals are encouraged to build themselves up from the inside and work to boost their resilience, allowing them to better cope in the wake of life’s challenges. Rather than simply being an intellectual process, the practice may help an individual to shift their emotional patterns and overarching life philosophy in order to celebrate their gifts and live vibrantly with true authenticity.

I Love You, I Hate You
During this holiday season I came into the observation of how I have been putting my family under a lot of unrealistic expectations regarding their emotional maturity. One of my most usual thoughts is that they could have done so much better. For instance, they could have gone to therapy, so that I don’t inherit so many dysfunctional ways of thinking, behaviors and worldviews.
I understand that you ‘ve got to play with the dice you ‘ve rolled, therefore I am making the effort to come to peace with the fact that every person does what they would naturally do. I would be mad at my parents mostly because of aesthetics, that is, how beautiful one can live their own life. But each person makes their own choices. My parents made their own.
Part of the evolution towards a greater amount of free will is taking the initiative to reverse choices taken by other people, who were responsible for us, until we learned how to do it. Thankfully, I wasn’t raised in a house with constant fighting, nor abuse of any kind. My childhood has been quite uneventful, excluding my leukemia which resulted in three years of chemotherapy during my early teens.
My parents were not responsible for this, but this event amplified their psychosynthesis. The primal fear of my parents, especially my mother’s, of losing their child came to the surface. Any sign of pain or discomfort from my side would turn into a pandemonium of reactions in which everyone was seemingly involved. Thus, I learned to hide any expression or sign from everyone, myself including.
I am amazed that after four paragraphs, my perspective has changed. It’s mostly because my attention has shifted towards the subject that I usually avoid the most, cancer. I have done some research about ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) and CR-PTS (Cancer-Related Post Traumatic Stress).
I am not new in the fact that I show a lot of behaviors in common with the symptoms, but it gives me perspective of accurately addressing the root of the problem. Yes, my parents might have missed my need for therapy and, yes, they might have conditioned my alienation and rigidity when it comes to expressing emotions. The work might have been postponed for a decade and a half but, since it has become apparent that it displeases me daily to live a life of alienation and of this level of emotional depth and creative richness, I will reassign resources in the task of redirecting my worldview.
I understand that I will come to face with mechanisms which cope with the immense fear, like avoidance. However, I finally feel ready to shed light to all the illusions that the mind creates in such states of darkness.
“What you choose to avoid will probably come in your dreams”

Lmao I would not have resisted infodumping, though would taken a slightly different approach. “Oh 👀! Have you heard of Internal Family Systems, Voice Dialogue and Psychosynthesis :)? At least one of those are like, legit psychotherapy :). In this essay I will-”
some kid in my art course today said, WITHOUT ANY PROMPTING, "man, i wish there was a way to like, split up your brain... Into like, different people, to handle different tasks..." And i shot up and was like "OH!! ACTUALLY-" And he cut me off with "no like yknow without trauma" And i had to force myself not to infodump tumblr plural culture and to just say "yeah theres a whole community around that, its a thing lol" and another friend told me after class that they saw me start VIBRATING cause i got so excited 😭

Will never ever get the Sans hate...People always judge characters from their own standpoint...completely disregarding that we all act depending where we are coming from/where we stand.
Same thing happens regarding the morality aspect in Yellowjackets. It's like people can't for one second, imagine themselves in a scenario where survival would be their top priority and at some point they will have to make difficult decisions.
"oh how could they eat their friend","why did Shauna go berserk on Lottie" etc
Can't know unless I test myself under similar circumstances and again my psychosynthesis/lifelong experiences and traumas will play a huge role in how I play my cards.
Not the same from the comfort of our comfy couches.
”we need more complex female characters!” you bitches cant handle sansa stark and she’s twelve.
