[ad_1] JOHN Asiata insists he will only change the way he tackles if he is told to after being branded ‘out of control.’ The Leigh skipper was blasted by St Helens coach Paul Wellens after being involved in challenges that ended the seasons of Alex Walmsley and Agnatius Paasi. 2John Asiata is adamant he will only change his style if rugby league bosses order him to, despite claims he was 'out of control' after St Helens' Alex Walmsley's season was ended..Credit: SWPIX.COM But despite the furore surrounding him allegedly going for opponents’ knees, he was cleared by the Rugby Football League’s match review panel. And he will stick to what he knows until he is told otherwise. Asiata said: “To me, I don’t think I did anything wrong. I’m just the type of player who puts his body on the line. “Obviously, I feel for those players but it’s not in my character to say, ‘I’m going to go and injure that guy.’ It’s not who I am. “I reached out to Agnatius and I feel really bad about the circumstances my tackle led to but it’s the way I play the game and I’ll do whatever it takes for the team. “As a coach, Paul was just supporting his players. They may change the rules next year around what tackling is going to look like. If that happens, I’ll have to adjust the way I tackle. MOST READ IN RUGBY LEAGUE “But I never doubted myself, it’s just the way I tackle.” Asiata leads the Leopards to their first Challenge Cup final since 1971 on Saturday against Hull KR and Wembley will be a new experience for him. So new, he only saw it for the first time as he travelled on the coach to Sunday’s Super League clash at Leeds, in which there was no thinking about steering clear of challenges to make sure he was fit. The 30-year-old added: “On the bus we saw the Arsenal v Manchester City game at Wembley and it looked unreal but I haven’t watched any Challenge Cup finals. 2Asiata will lead Leigh at Wembley - after only seeing it for the first time at the weekendCredit: SWPIX.COM “That was the first time I ever saw Wembley, even on TV. It was also the first time I heard what it could sound like too. “And when you start to think about things like ‘avoid injury, avoid a head knock, avoid trouble with the ref’, those things happen. I’m the type of player who just goes hard every game. “I really believe in things happening for a reason and you can’t prevent them unless you really try not to do that sort of thing. “And if I believe something, I stick with it 100 per cent. It’s the way I live my life.” !function(f,b,e,v,n,t,s)if(f.fbq)return;n=f.fbq=function()n.callMethod? n.callMethod.apply(n,arguments):n.queue.push(arguments);if(!f._fbq)f._fbq=n; n.push=n;n.loaded=!0;n.version='2.0';n.queue=[];t=b.createElement(e);t.async=!0; t.src=v;s=b.getElementsByTagName(e)[0];s.parentNode.insertBefore(t,s)(window, document,'script',' fbq('init', '752905198150451'); fbq('track', "PageView"); [ad_2]

Need to find out if rappers in languages with front vowels and back vowels are doing rhymes with those kinds of vowel shifts.
Like are there Finnish rappers doing stuff like "hyöriä - huoria" or "pääsi - paasi"?
(I can't even figure out whether this sort of thing would work in English... "news - noose" is kind of a "y - u" and sound pair and "cat - cut" is basically an "ä - a" pair, but when it isn't conceptualised like that in the spelling, does it count?)

The colours of Kanchipuram
Kempu (சிகப்பு), the colour of vitality
Perhaps because Kanchipuram is widely associated with bridal silk sarees, red and its shades are often the first colours that spring to mind. The connection goes deeper still. The town is famous for the Kamakshi Amman temple, where the deity is associated with passion, fertility and prosperity. For centuries, weavers would create silk sarees primarily for temple idols and royalty. Kamakshi Devi is typically draped in a red silk saree, and weavers have become adept at capturing the many shades and tints of red. The word ‘kempu’ itself may have come from the rubies used to create temple jewellery.
The names of the colours are drawn from everyday life. The fiery red of chillies is named ‘milagai pazham’, while the deeper shade is named ‘kumkuma’ after sindoor. Red with a hint of orange is called ‘thakkali’ (tomato), while dusty pink is reminiscent of onions and aptly called ‘vengayam’. Red imbued with magenta is named after the sacred hibiscus flower (chembaruthi) that’s offered at Kanchipuram’s many shrines.
Red was also one of the first colours to be successfully used as a dye, and the natural elements that yielded them have found their way into the lexicon as well. ‘Arakku’ (lac) is one of the earliest-known sources of red dyes, and remains the favourite colour for muhurtham ceremonies in weddings across Tamil Nadu.
Pachai (பச்சை), the colour of fertility
India’s monsoons generously water Kanchipuram’s green paddy fields, and the colour of fertility is often represented on Kanchipuram silk sarees.
Unsurprisingly, the names of several shades are derived from vegetation. ‘Illai pachai’ translates to ‘leaf green’, while ‘elakkai pachai’ references the pastel shade of cardamom. ‘Paasi pachai’ is named after moss; we’re partial to the poetic ‘manthulir’, the twilight shade of tender mango leaves that lies between green and red. Transitional or dual-tone shades like ‘manthulir’ are achieved by using one colour for the warp and another for the weft.
Goddess Kamakshi carries a parrot in one of her hands, and the bird’s colour has grown so familiar that ‘kili pachai’ is a colour often favoured by weavers. Kanchipuram is also home to the Pachai Vanna Perumal temple, where Vishnu is represented in resplendent emerald green, another popular hue among green Kanchipuram silk sarees.

if you don't mind explaining, I'd personally like to hear about Avian beliefs
I’m like deeply upset because I began working on this and it didn’t save. And there’s like a lot to say. Damnit.
Anyways.
The Avian Gods (Also titled the Old Gods for fancy reasons)
I’m only doing the main five, because fucking hell there’s loads. Also like they’re the only ones I’ve given names so far… so…. Shhhh
Haton, The God of Fertility, Animals and Health.
Haton is one of the most worshipped gods, because he’s awfully useful. Fertility for crops, and healthy babies, as well as more livestock. Animals for food. Health is just a general thing people like to have, y’know. However, besides those three things, he’s also classified as both a war god and a love god. He’s a Jack of all Trades type.
He is said to have a range of abilities, including healing the sick, bringing back the newly deceased, speaking to animals, manipulating plants and have everyone love him. That’s not a joke. One of his powers is that people are naturally more inclined to love him than they are hate him, and people often start off very interested in him when they first meet. He’s also really unlikeable sometimes so he’s lucky he’s got that power or he’d have no friends.
He is usually depicted as tall (especially by avian standards) with dark hair, golden eyes and a very pretty face.
In all depictions of him, a dragon can be seen behind him. It was believed that he would send down a dragon to help people win wars and stuff. But dragons still aren’t real.
Bytrix, The goddess of Blood, Nightfall and War.
She’s surprisingly not that scary. She’s often worshipped during times of war, or when people have petty feuds that they wish to end with the unfortunate demise of the other, however she is also worshipped often during the summer, where the days are far too long and people beg for night, or during the winter when there is too much night.
She has a range of abilities, including the ability to manipulate blood, curse people, start wars and cast an area of land in complete darkness. Unlike Haton, people often fear her when they first meet her due to the cruelty she has displayed in the past, however she is actually quite nice.
She is often shown to have pure black hair and eyes, matching the black robes she wears. She’s tall and thin, and has a very pretty face.
She’s usually depicted wearing wolf furs, or being accompanied by wolves, as she is the patron god of wolves. So.
Paasis, the goddess of Travellers, Thunder and Song
Paasis is another highly worshipped god, after all she is one of the main five. She’s usually only worshipped by bards and travellers however, but as they are abundant in Ru’aun, especially back in the days of Avians, she had a lot of followers. She was thought to bless travellers with safe voyages, give thunder as a warning of bad weather and be the origin of music.
Her rumoured powers include probability manipulation, weather manipulation, luck manipulation, and the ability to hypnotise and lure people in with her song. Sounds like someone got a bit close to a siren to me, but who am I to say anything?
She’s shown to be average height (for an avian. So. Short) with curly brown hair usually tied up into a pony tail and dark brown eyes. She is rather chubby and has a baby face.
Her animals are snakes. Because there’s a whole tale about them. It’s hard to explain.
Daarae, God of Jokes, Riches and Autumn.
Daarae is worshipped by everyone for obvious reasons. Especially Travellers, Bards and Jesters.
He is said to be able to intoxicate people with his mere presence, and make even the goddess Bytrix laugh. He can also bless anyone with riches and bring about the affects of autumn with ease.
He’s never seen in a painting, or tapestry, or anything, without Bytrix there also. Some tales have them in love, some say that she is there to balance him out. No one really knows for sure.
He’s the one rumoured to have created the Meif’wa. Because he can actually do that. And that was probably also his motivation to make them. Because he can.
He’s always depicted the same way. Dark hair, bright purple eyes and scars hidden by his robes.
He is the patron god of Lizards because they’re his favourite.
Ieus, god of Change, Disease and Death.
Almost all tales and drawings of him are completely different, however one this remains the same in all depictions. He’s a whore. But that’s okay he’s a god they’re all rather slutty. Especially Haton but we don’t need to get into that today.
And that’s it. There’s obviously a lot more detail I could go into, and I would, but I just woke up, I can’t save this post to my drafts to finish off later and honestly I can’t be bothered. So this is what you get for now.
