Captain Jonah Hale had heard tales of the hidden island for as long as he could remember. An uncharted speck of land somewhere in the vastness of the Pacific, it was whispered about in seafarers' taverns, a place where time stood still and the rules of the world ceased to apply. Most dismissed the stories as mere sailor's lore, but Hale was not most people. He had spent the better part of his life chasing legends, and this was the one that had eluded him.

For years, he had studied ancient maps, deciphered cryptic journals, and pieced together fragmented tales. His obsession led him to the darkest corners of the earth, but it wasn't until he found an old mariner in a remote village in Indonesia that he finally got the clue he needed—a set of coordinates, scrawled on a scrap of parchment, handed over with a trembling hand.

"The island is not of this world," the old man had warned, his eyes clouded with memories of things better forgotten. "Once you set foot on it, there's no telling what you'll find... or if you'll ever leave."

Undeterred, Hale set sail with a small crew aboard his trusty vessel, The Odyssey. They sailed for days through uncharted waters, where the sea was eerily calm, and the sky seemed perpetually overcast. It was as if the world held its breath in this place, waiting.

On the morning of the seventh day, the island appeared on the horizon, a silhouette against the gray sky. It was small, no more than a mile across, dominated by a single, towering mountain shrouded in mist. Hale ordered the crew to drop anchor in a sheltered cove, and as the boat rocked gently on the waves, he felt a chill that had nothing to do with the temperature.

"This is it," he muttered to himself as he stepped into the dinghy that would take him ashore.

The beach was a stretch of white sand, untouched by footprints or time. Beyond the shore, a dense jungle loomed, its trees ancient and gnarled, their roots snaking across the ground like the tendrils of some subterranean beast. The air was thick with the scent of earth and something else—something sweet and cloying that Hale couldn't quite place.

As he ventured deeper into the jungle, he noticed that the usual sounds of nature were absent. There were no birds, no rustling leaves, no insects buzzing in the undergrowth. It was as if the island itself was holding its breath, waiting.

He pressed on, his heart pounding in his chest, until he came to a clearing at the base of the mountain. In the center of the clearing stood a stone archway, covered in vines and inscribed with symbols that were not of any language Hale recognized. The archway framed nothing but empty space, yet as he approached, he felt a strange pull, as if the very fabric of reality was thinner here, stretched to its breaking point.

Hale reached out a hand and touched the stone. The symbols began to glow with a soft, amber light, and the air shimmered as a portal materialized within the archway. Through it, he could see another world—a world bathed in golden light, where towering spires rose from a landscape of lush, verdant forests. The sight was both beautiful and terrifying, a glimpse into something beyond his comprehension.

He should have turned back then, but the island's pull was too strong. Steeling himself, Hale stepped through the portal.

The transition was seamless, like walking through a veil of water. On the other side, the air was warm and filled with the sound of distant music, a haunting melody that seemed to come from the very earth itself. He was in a vast, open plaza, surrounded by towering structures made of a stone that glowed with an inner light. The architecture was unlike anything he had ever seen, a blend of organic and geometric forms that defied the laws of physics.

As he wandered the empty streets, Hale realized that this was a city of the lost civilization he had read about in his research—a civilization that had somehow transcended the bounds of time and space. But where were its inhabitants?

He found his answer in the city's central square. At its centre stood a colossal statue of a figure clad in flowing robes, its hands raised as if in supplication. Around the statue's base were dozens of stone figures, their expressions frozen in fear and awe. It took Hale a moment to realize that these were not statues—they were people, petrified in an instant, caught in the midst of some cataclysmic event.

A deep sense of dread settled over him as he understood the island's curse. This was not a place where time stood still, but a place where time had been shattered. The civilization had tried to harness powers beyond their understanding, and in doing so, they had doomed themselves to an eternity trapped between worlds.

Hale felt the island's pull once more, a whisper in his mind urging him to stay, to become part of the island's eternal tableau. But he resisted, stumbling back toward the portal. As he passed through the archway, he felt a jolt, as if something had tried to cling to him, to drag him back.

He staggered out into the clearing, the jungle silent and oppressive around him. The portal flickered behind him and then vanished, leaving only the stone archway, cold and inert.

Hale wasted no time in returning to the beach, his heart pounding as he rowed back to The Odyssey. As the island receded into the distance, he could still feel its presence, a lingering shadow on the edge of his consciousness.

When he reached the ship, he ordered the crew to set sail immediately. As they left the cove, the island seemed to dissolve into the mist, as if it had never been there at all.

For the rest of his days, Captain Jonah Hale never spoke of what he had seen on the hidden island. But the memory of that place haunted him, a reminder that some mysteries are better left unsolved, and that there are forces in the world far beyond human understanding.

A door to deal with things that have been bothering me or that I've been stuck on appears in front of me. When I accept "polyphasic sleep," I feel that I'm getting better results than when I tried to do something by pushing myself too hard in the past. I can reset my body and choose a new door many times a day! It's wonderful.

Esse drama foi uma grata surpresa, não estava nos meus planos assistir, por ser um drama com uma pegada Sci-Fi, ficção científica que eu até gosto mas para doramas nunca tinha assistido, porém tinha descoberto que o ator Bai Yu existia e fui atrás para ver quais dramas ele tinha feito e esse me chamou atenção por ter romance também, 38 episódios que te prendem na história e você só fica querendo saber mais e mais.

O cenário/fotografia futurístico é lindo, a ideia do drama eu achei muito original e bem feita, o plot é bem amarrado, fica pouquíssimas pontas soltas, a história por si só já é fantasiosa e os roteiristas souberam aproveitar disso e soltar a criatividade. O ponto alto para mim foi a atuação sensacional da Ni Ni e do Bai Yu, eu não conhecia a Ni Ni nunca tinha visto nada com ela, e ela me surpreendeu demais positivamente, a personagem dela a Liu Xi é bem complexa cheia de camadas, uma mulher 1001 utilidades pau pra toda obra que sobrevive de seu esforço em uma Kombi velha e que luta para descobrir seu passado e sua origem, e o personagem do Bai Yu, o Chang Dong é um homem resoluto, que sofre diariamente com a ideia de que todos que ele ama morreram e por culpa dele e vai até o fim para descobrir o paradeiro deles, eles se unem porque os dois querem a mesma coisa, ir pro deserto e buscar respostas e lentamente se apaixonam, em um romance muito fofo por sinal 🥹.

Destaque também para os vilões que também foram muito bem na atuação, e são bem desprezíveis mérito dos atores, o núcleo secundário é interessante e tem momentos fofos do casal secundário.

Em suma é um ótimo drama, recomendo pra quem quer tentar ver um cdrama diferente mas que ainda tem uma pegada de romance 💋.

Liam is a man with a green, flourishing garden. His garden is always in motion, flowers and trees stretch towards the sun, and they feel his love. His neighbor, Reynor, has a dry, bleak garden. Thorny plants and eerie trees, which never move, surround his home.

Liam cannot understand why Reynor has such a garden. After all, he has always been a kind neighbor, assisting in hard times. But every time one of Liam's trees got sick or died, Reynor seemed to rejoice in it. Yet at the same time, Liam saw pain in Reynor's eyes that he couldn't explain.

One day, when one of Liam's oldest trees died, Reynor came to him with a small sapling in his hands. "I brought this for you," he said. Liam was astonished. "Why?" he asked. Reynor replied, "Every time your tree gets sick or dies, I feel your pain. I want you to be happy." Liam smiled and thanked him.

From then on, the gardens of both neighbors began to change. Green sprouts appeared in Reynor's garden, and Liam's trees became even stronger and healthier. They realized that kindness and mutual aid were the keys to harmony with nature.

Ticking Obsession

Let me tell you something about myself that’s perhaps not immediately obvious I have a deeply unhealthy obsession with time. Not in the generic "I hate being late" way. No, my fixation goes far beyond punctuality or calendar apps. Though that is true too. This is something that took root in my mind back in 2006 and has since woven itself into my thoughts, habits, even how I see the world.

It all started with a BBC documentary. Not just any documentary, mind you this was the Time series hosted by none other than Dr. Michio Kaku. If you’ve never seen it, do yourself a favour and hunt it down. It’s a beautiful, mind-bending series in which Kaku an American physicist and master science communicator goes on a global journey to try and define, understand, and chase after that elusive thing we call time.

I was only a teenager at the time, but something about that series rewired my brain. Maybe it was the haunting realisation that time is both constant and completely out of our grasp. Maybe it was Kaku’s hypnotic, calm delivery a man who speaks of quantum mechanics like it’s poetry. Either way, from that day forward, time wasn’t just a part of my life. It became the part.

Each book is a small detonation in the brain. Kaku has this rare gift: he makes impossibly complex theories about the multiverse, wormholes, and AI feel like gripping thrillers. But at the core of it all whether he’s talking about bending space-time, merging consciousness with machines, or building Type I civilisations time is always present.

And that’s the paradox, isn’t it? Time is everywhere and nowhere. We live inside of it, but we can’t see it. It drives every second of our lives, yet we barely understand it. It’s ticking constantly whether we choose to notice or not.

Since that first encounter in 2007, I’ve noticed time shaping the very architecture of my thought. I overthink minutes, waste hours worrying about the past, and have endless philosophical arguments in my head about the future. I obsess over history, write about nostalgia, and collect clocks yes, literal clocks. I time my coffee breaks. I remember whole days in terms of the exact hour something happened. It’s borderline manic, I know. But at the same time, I wouldn’t trade this obsession for anything. It keeps me grounded, aware, awake.

We live in a culture that is increasingly casual about time wasting it on meaningless distractions, pretending we have infinite tomorrows. But time is the one currency we can’t counterfeit. And once you become aware of that really aware you start living with urgency. Purpose. Gratitude.

So, if you're like me slightly mad and deeply curious give Dr Michio Kaku’s works a read. Rewatch that 2007 BBC series if you can. And maybe, just maybe, you’ll understand why I’ve never been able to escape the ticking echo of that first documentary.

Time isn’t just a dimension. For some of us, it’s a religion.

The great part is that when the spirit said, "Chill behind you", there was a spectrogram that came out at the exact same moment of a man as you can see in the spectrograms below.

This resonates as true, my own daughter came to me in the middle of the night and said (You know your writing style and stories inspired me to write) of course she's into the dark spooky tales she got from her mother's end but it's good she was able to dig beyond the surface.

Don't tell Robert Zimmerman, but here's my take on

.Marty and Jennifer had just had a run in with Doc after missing an train from bTTF 3 and from exhaustion of explanation walked hand in hand into the front 🚪 so they thought as grabbing of the door handle becomes a slow motion pull there is a burst of ripples and the world around them darkens as if separated from time and space. Confused and exhausted Marty and Jennifer hear a distorted reversed chimes before a track materializes in the living room followed by a loud blast of the horn of the very 🚆 Doc was aboard with Clara and her boys Jules and Verne now as toddlers with only shock to be described the engine blasted through the house with extreme force destroying a wall to the living room. In dismay and shock, Marty falls to the ground and looks at Doc almost near anger as we hear him scream WHat The Hell Doc, MY HOME! Doc Brown climbs from the train and scolds Marty, "I should have been more clear.. Don't imagine an alternative action for a reaction the implications can be diasterous. Doc explains to Marty, we blew it my boy all this for nothing. Marty confused looks at Jennifer, (I don't understand).. Doc looks at Marty then Jennifer with a deep sigh. How do I put this, your back but your not .. Your Not You Yet. Jennifer clearly not amused looks into Clara's eyes for understanding (What's he really trying to say?) With a smirk Clara climbs down and looks Jennifer over to say (Time Jumped Outward) followed by Doc with a loud outburst (EXACTLY).
