The late jazz master was not only a deep harmonic genius but could twist your ear with rhythms too.
• Learn how to outline chord changes with motives. • Develop a sense of “3-over-4” rhythms. • Understand how to increase tension in your solos.

Throughout his career, Pat used a wealth of exciting repetitive motives that was as much a part of his signature sound as other more melodic and harmonic devices. These motives intensified the drama in many of his solos, kept audiences on the edge of their seats (check out the cheering at the 3:04 mark after one such example during his “Oleo” solo on Live at Yoshi’s), and the repetitive and rhythmic nature of these ideas was the perfect complement to his monstrous eighth-note lines.

- UK and US Ghosts crossover -
Alison: Aww, look at our ghosts getting along together.
Sam: Yeah, they're all so different. Except your Pat and my Pete, don't you think they're basically the same?
Alison: What d’you mean?
Sam: The scout outfit, the arrow, the optimism, the cheating wife called Carol. Isn't it uncanny?
Alison: Nah.
Alison: They're as different as Night and...Later That Night.

So I’ve just watched all the episodes of CBS Ghosts and I really enjoyed it, the characters were really fun and the storylines set it apart enough from the BBC Ghosts that I could kind of approach them as different shows. What really surprised me though is how straight this side of the fandom seems? Like don’t get me wrong: a) That’s not a bad thing
b) There’s a lot of LGBT people here for it,
but I’ve seen 10x more posts about Hetty and Trevor than Nigel and Isaac, where the BBC ghosts fandom ship everyone in a polyamorous love polygon. I think the CBS show does such a good job of cementing the couples that you don’t really imagine them with anyone else. Like watching BBC Ghosts, I could totally imagine Robin and Julian dating, but I could never see Thor and Trevor dating. And it’s the same with Pat and the Captain, and Pete and Isaac.  The British Ghosts just feels way more ambiguous in their characters, they’ve given them more time to sit and build their personalities where the CBS Ghosts has focussed way more on how their relationships to each other change throughout the show.
I came onto Tumblr looking for cute gay fan art of Nissac and for the first time I was bombarded with straight GIFs of H-Money kissing.
