omg same trauma - sympathy and respect but also acknowledging youre not the same. propably the most normal out of the three options. you know very intimate stuff about this person but you have never met and its weird. you live your life normally but sometimes you wonder what it would be like to meet him

like ok but i have too many porsche & vegas thoughts sometimes. it's just that.., porsche's moral & mental flexibility, his ability to compartmentalize, his emphathy and easy forgiveness -- all of the things that allowed him to fall in love with kinn even after the violence & indignity & loss of autonomy he originally suffered at kinn's hands ... these are the same characteristics to lead to him opening the door to vegas again and again.

Okay so, for the record, the sentiments being expressed are largely "I tried to use ao3 but I found it confusing". Not "ao3 needs an algorithm" not "I hate ao3 because it doesn't have an algorithm" not "fuck you dusty old bitches and your swagless un-algorithmed garbage site". Just "I found this website, which is completely unlike anything I've ever used in my entire life, very confusing and intimidating 🥺". None of the teenagers on the tiktok that started this discourse off were even being mean or rude, just expressing confusion and frustration, and many of the top commenters were receptive to help & advice! And there is no like, organized movement of people campaigning for ao3 to add an algorithm, and even if there was it wouldn't even matter or be a big deal lmao nothing would come if it. The otw/ao3 are notoriously change-resistant, and even if they weren't, "adding an algorithm" is both not-cheap and labor intensive in a way that I don't think the org can afford. Literally none of this matters. Relax.
